Amazing how Rhaegar spent his entire life mournfully reminiscing over Summerhall, only to completely miss the entire goddamn lesson to be learned from Summerhall.

I mean he really learned how his great grandfather killed half their family obsessing over prophetic dragon magic, then went and killed most of the other half by obsessing over prophetic dragon magic.

#side note: this post is predicated on a couple of theories #that Aegon V was at least somewhat motivated by the prophecized return of dragons #and that Rhaegar had Jon w Lyanna thinking he’d be TPWWP #I say as someone who had not read the books #maybe im straight up wrong apologies if so #rhaegar targaryen #aegon v targaryen #tragedy of Summerhall #either way lesson is dont mess with weird magical shit you dont understand
