How PJ and Hiss would deal with a snow day~!

England is COLD and, back then especially, it’d snow regularly in the winter

Neither Hiss nor John strike me as the kind of person to particularly like the cold — John is scrawny and his fur is thin, while Hiss is cold blooded

John has a wardrobe of winter clothes for just an occasion!! Full of thick coats and doublets, rather than his standard thin tunic-type garb

He doesn’t enjoy the cold weather, and finds the snow bothersome, but he can cope. Won’t stop him from complaining relentlessly, though!

“Uhg, curse this contemptible climate!! The snow is just terrible for my mane!!”

Hiss, however, has a much harder time adjusting — No matter how many sweaters he wears (knitted for him by Lady Kluck), snow days always render him tired and sluggish

Most winter mornings he struggles to drag himself out of bed!

Even if he’s about to pass out, he’s the type to insist nothing’s wrong — “Hmm? Oh, oh no sssire, I’m perfectly fine. Jussst… Jusssst woke up on the wrong ssside of the bed, isss all…”

First few times, John thought it was laziness, but after a lengthy chat (and a little bit of research) he started to show the tiniest bit of compassion for Hiss’ reptilian struggles

If he’s feeling particularly charitable, he’ll have a fire started and set up a little basket, complete with a blanket, and maybe even a warm drink

If anybody asks, it wasn’t him!! He’d never do something so… altruistic

Hiss knows though. He’s always known >:))

So much thought would go into an outfit like this in order to make it look like it was a casual, fun thing without much thought at all. At a charity event, it's important to not exactly look like her status. She can't be in a ballgown dripping jewels when she's trying to support/ask for others to also donate money. It's uhhhh little insulting. Not to mention a few other factors that make it more difficult, like Christmas being the time of year when Hibiko wants to always dress her best and look like a fucking holiday-fairy. But also, it's easy to accidentally flaunt too much wealth when she needs to dress warmer, owning fabrics that just using them shows money, like wools, furs, velvets.

To keep it toned down, she restricts herself to one type of fabric with little to no embellishments, and one type of jewelry (gold, silver, or pearls), with no gems. That's what she bases the outfit around. A dress that's not too form-fitting, if it requires a petticoat or foundations, it's nothing too dramatic. Maybe something with long sleeves so she doesn't have to wear a coat and again, accidentally give away how much money her clothes are.

Then, she'll push the arbitrary boundaries put on herself to see which one other accessory she can get away with wearing that would keep her separated from the rest: lace gloves, hair accessories, extra jewelry. The dress is almost always down to the floor in the winter unless it recently snowed, so shoes tend to be the biggest giveaway of wealth. But oh, she can't help it!
