Leonardo is designated and resident Mr. Gentleman, and that's the main reason why you fell for him nearly instantly.

The first few days of knowing him were full of him calling you "Miss," which, in his voice, made you weak in the knees. He would also open doors for you, clear paths for you, tell you to watch your step whenever there was tricky terrain or a puddle, and ask for your permission whenever he'd have to help you climb up or down a building/manhole, depending on where you were going.

You were sure Leonardo was simply being polite with you and acting like the leader, which made him naturally respectful and caring. You didn't suspect Leonardo had a thing for you for months into knowing each other.

That being said, Leonardo had a hard time pining for you. The first one to notice was Donnie, but he never said a word. After him, Raph quickly realized Leonardo was a little off whenever you were around, and he tried to confront Leo and get him to admit he liked you on many occasions, but Leo would never accept it, not wanting to make a huge deal since he was certain you wouldn't return his feelings. It took him a while to get used to the idea of you feeling the same way.

When he couldn't deny it anymore was the first time you called him by his nickname, the one only you called him and he loved so much. The first time you called him Leon, he went so soft he didn't even have to speak the words "I like you" out loud. You could tell just by looking at those big blue eyes.

Now that you're together, he can't get enough of you addressing him in that special way. He doesn't care for pet names nearly as much as he just wants to hear you calling him that, and he'll verbally ask you to from time to time.

"Call me that again," he'll say, and he'll smile when you humor him by looking into his eyes and softly speaking the nickname.

"Leon."

The only other nickname you really have for him is "handsome" because, let's face it, for a turtle and a mutant, Leonardo is very handsome indeed. When you aren't using either of those names, you'll just call him Leonardo. Similarly, Leonardo loves to call you by your proper name, and he never fails to remind you how much he loves your name too. The only other pet name he has for you is "beautiful," which goes nicely, when you think about it. He's the handsome to your beautiful.

He prefers physical touch and shows of affection to be kept in private, but Leonardo's no stranger to loving looks and lingering stares whenever you two have company.

When you're alone, Leonardo will often hold you by your waist. He just loves the curve of your back.

He loves the feeling of your hands on him, too, and not only in a 👀 spicy 👀 way. Leonardo just loves that you touch him, whether you're playfully running a hand over his bicep or tenderly caressing the scars on his face.

Leonardo is a real sucker for kissing, no pun intended. Most of your alone time with him is spent making out, and you must say he's become a really good kisser since you started dating.

If you ever want to spice up a make out sesh with him, just call him Leon between kisses and look at him go! 🥴

And speaking of private moments, Leonardo's a real giver.

It amazes you how he manages to remain chivalrous even while he's giving you all the attention you could possibly want 👀

He loves to kiss your neck and your collarbones, and he'll take every opportunity to leave a little mark.

The hottest make outs you've had with him have been a result of him catching you staring at him - it really boosts his confidence and his ego to know you like what you see.

But on a more serious note - being the leader of the squad, Leonardo doesn't make a habit of venting or expressing any fears to his brothers. He does rely on you for that, never seeking to overwhelm you, but he knows he can trust you and that you'll be there for him, comforting him whenever he's had a rough mission or feels like his grip on the squad is loosening.

Needless to say, Leonardo's incredibly protective of you. He doesn't mind keeping watch outside of your home overnight if you ever feel uneasy, though most times he'd prefer it if you spent the night at the lair where not only he, but the rest of his brothers could protect you, too. Leonardo would honestly just prefer it if you moved in with him, to be honest.

His main love language is acts of service. If you mention a spider's been making its home on the roof of your bedroom, he'll go find it and move it outside. If you tell him you're thirsty, he'll get you a glass of water, and if you're ever scrunched up on the couch, he'll get you a blanket without you needing to ask for one.

All in all, everyone can tell how much you love each other. They know how good of an effect you have on Leonardo, and sometimes his brothers *ahem* Mikey *ahem* will try to get you to convince Leonardo to do things he might not normally approve of. It never works.

You would never trust anyone to do what Leonardo was doing at that moment. With one of his large hands, he carried you up a fire escape, supporting your full weight with his arm as if you were a beloved plush toy - he wouldn't break a sweat. His other hand was over your eyes, shielding your senses from whatever was waiting for you on the rooftop. That was all you knew, that for that date night, you'd be headed toward a rooftop. Leon had been secretive about the rest of the details. Stealth was one of his greatest qualities, unsurprisingly, but when it came to you, you could always read him like a book.

Because of that, whenever you caught a whiff of Leon having a surprise for you, the butterflies would endlessly swarm in anticipation inside you.

"Almost there, beautiful," he reassured, and you could hear the smirk in his voice.

"This is a tall building," you observed. "Or are you just stalling?"

"Uh..." Leonardo said. "Both, to be honest."

You giggled. "Oh, this better be good."

"Well, I have high hopes," he said, after which you felt the movement of him leaping over the edge of the wall, his grip on you safe and tight. When his feet landed, you could hear that they had distinctly done so on concrete, and it became clear you were on the rooftop he intended.

"Now, I'm gonna uncover your eyes, but you need to keep them closed, okay?" Leonardo said.

"I promise," your answer was playful.

"Stay here," he said gently, and you felt him set you on the ground and remove his fand from on top of your eyes.

You kept your promise and didn't look, not even to hint at peeking for further mischief. Around you, you could hear cars in the distance honking and driving through the streets, an airplane flying by, the wind brushing past you - all sounds from your familiar city. You couldn't hear Leonardo at all, ever the masterful ninja, dominant in stealth and agility, but when you focused enough, you soon became aware of the faintest hum of electricity that reached your ears, and not long after that, a soft press of a button made way for the intro of your favorite song, the song that had become yours and Leon's song.

"Open 'em," Leonardo said.

On his command, you opened your eyes and were met with a scene that could make you burst into hearts. The rooftop was small, and it had been turned into the coziest spot in the city. Blankets, pillows and cushions made a fort on the ground in front of which was a projector ready to play your favorite movie. There were three boxes of pizza at the center of the largest blanket on the ground, and there was a mini cooler with your favorite drinks in it. The rooftop, both on the ground and the pergola above, was covered in warm white and colored fairy lightsm giving the place an aura of romance and even a hint of magic. You couldn't help but gasp at the sight, and the only thing that made it more perfect was Leonardo standing in front of it all, his hand extended towards you, inviting you to him.

"Leon..." you walked up to him in awe. "You did all this?"

"Donnie helped," Leonardo replied, unable to take the credit all to himself.

"Oh," you sighed, taking one more look around before your gaze finally landed on Leonardo. "This is beautiful!"

He pulled you in closer. "Much like you."

You giggled as heat rose to your cheeks. "Seriously... thank you. But what even is the occasion?"

"I wanna pamper you," Leonardo said, angling his body to gesture at the fort of blankets and pillows. "Right this way, miss."

You felt yourself blushing even harder at Leonardo's chivalry - it would never fail to make you swoon. Still holding your hand, he led you toward the fort and helped you down to sitting, and then he took a seat next to you. One arm draped securely around you, pulling you close to him for you to snuggle against his broad frame, and the other reached for the pizzas.

"Your banquet," he smiled.

"My, my," you cooed. "How elegant we are."

Leonardo chuckled in that deep, smooth voice that you love dearly, and he leaned in to kiss you on the lips, unable to contain his desire to keep you close. The kiss was tender and sweet, almost shy, reflecting the gentleman he was. You kissed him back and brushed your hand lovingly over his cheek, giving him the confidence to kiss you with slightly more force before he pulled away and reached for a blanket to drape over you both.

"You doing alright?" He asked.

You nodded, leaning on him again. "This is perfect, Leon. Thank you."

He kissed your temple and opened the box of pizza to hand you a slice, which you happily took. You both ate and made little conversation in between, waiting for your song to finish, after which the movie began and you both settled for a lovely night outside.

what are your thoughts on this booktok drama https://www.reddit.com/r/RomanceBooks/comments/1i1i05p/your_thoughts_on_kallmekris_booktok_drama/ a lot of people were offended by the video (it was removed from this person's youtube channel, but internet is forever and someone uploaded the 37min video on tiktok). i get why people were upset, especially since this creator used clips of people without asking for permission and i think the OG title was T'hese Viral TikTok Smut Books Are Really Gross' which pissed off a lot of people. i just don't know if people are being overly sensitive or not to the content of the video.

yeah she makes fun of some of these popular booktok books, but people do that all the time. trash gets published so much in the guise of spicy romances so i'm not quite sure if people are conflating this creator talking shit about the books with her talking shit about them or maybe i missed something and she actually did talk shit about them. i know you have hatersbookclub (which i love, i find your commentary super funny) so i was wondering if you had a take on this drama since it's been blowing up all over tiktok and now reddit.

Okay I'm gonna be real and upfront- I'm not gonna watch the video because I don't want to be pushed anymore booktok content. However I do have general thoughts about the culture, which I am, once again, putting under the cut. blah blah blah read at your own discretion

Without watching the video (so I lack context), one of the things I find wildly frustrating about booktok is the performative outrage. The CONSTANT performative outrage about EVERYTHING. Maybe the video was offensive but I'm betting it was a mild, but mostly fair, criticism of the culture over there and they are allergic to any nuance, and take even constructive criticism as a personal attack.

The anti-intellectualism floating around the space is deeply frustrating. "I just read for the vibes" "its a brain off read for me" "its not that deep" "let people like things" "no one ever says men are consuming too much porn" ""good" is subjective" alongside the weaponization of like, feminism and other progressive language to silence ANY critique is exhausting.

No one is saying you shouldn't be allowed to brain off read 700 books written in an hour that aren't edited and actively uphold the very patriarchal, white supremacist culture you swear you want to dismantle (only when it's time to cancel someone, though, and never when its time to do the uncomfortable internal work that forces you to ask why you only consume books in which women are referred to as "females" and are subservient to men in overtly domineering roles, though).

What people are often saying is that its frustrating the way these POORLY written (not subjective- thats an objective, measurable standard), copy cat books are peddled and often shielded from criticism under the guise of "feminism means you can never criticize anything women enjoy ever" or how if you're offering up book recs, a deluge of "Is there spice" floods the comments. Books are being marketed on fanfiction tropes rather than a PLOT, of which there very often is very little to none of.

I've seen people GENTLY try and discuss, like, the lack of media literacy and booktok is always there arguing why any reading is good reading, wholly ignoring that, often by their own admission, they ARENT reading (brain off reading means....what? You didn't absorb any of it? I don't even know what that means and I honestly don't want to), or that its good for your brain to actually pay attention to what you're reading and then THINK about it. Even your dark romance trash is saying SOMETHING.

could I ask how you draw the comic bubbles? Maybe a Speedpaint please? They’re very unique looking and I want to make my own comics. Also is it okay if I ask how do you draw that line less style? How do you get the shapes to look anatomy correctly? Like when it comes to muzzles and bodies? That always seems to be something I struggle with. Sorry for the long questions I’m just very inspired. LINELESS STYLE.. AAA i'm not sure how to explain past the tutorial, sorry! i'm not sure how else i could show how i do that outside of the speedpaint and step-by-step :(

anatomy is a whole different beast and not much to do with the style! the only way you can get anatomy to look correct or recognizable as the species you're trying to draw is to study it and actually know what you're drawing / how to draw it! studies and reference are the only answers. past that there aren't really any tips it is the old tale of 'study and practice'. i've been at the art thing for many years and literally just drawing over and over is the only way i've ever improved LASKDNLKASD BUT! there are definitely methods you'll have to find out on your own, that make learning easier and more fun. some tutorials don't help me at all bc they don't teach in a way i learn well from. others, BLAM, something clicks. but it's different for everyone

best i've found is, during a 'study', use simple shapes to trace some photos of real cats. block out their limbs and their bodies, and their heads and see what makes those simple shapes still translate as 'cat'! then use your studies as a reference while you freehand some stuff

things will look wrong without referencing if you don't already have an understanding what's been drawn, and EVEN THEN, they might still look wrong if you're very critical of your own art. so just keep gong for it!

Gotta love the irony of Miraculous claiming "All it takes for evil to win is for good to do nothing" and then turning around and say "If you dont like us teaching countless of harmful messages to children so Marinette can be the ever-victim girboss ruler of the universe, then fuck you. That's the only reason you could take an issue with the story, you hate women) and if you want to watch this show in peace, you have to kneel and surrender your moral code to what WE tell you is right (for Marinette)"

Miraculous, I thought I was SUPPOSED to think for myself and speak up when I see injustice and people being harmed for someone's ego? Why did you lie to me when I was a kid? Marinette doesnt care for justice, she's self-righteous and now always puts herself first. If looking away benefits her, she'll always do it and only sobs little "sowwys" when things go bad, but then mostly only really cares about making sure SHE gets out of it best as possible. Sure, she's doing her best, but clearly much more the best FOR HERSELF then anyone else. Since s4 she stopped caring for justice once she isnt the one getting the most out of it.

She was upset that saying "I forgive you" to Alya at the end of Strike Back didnt make Alya put her life and loved ones on the line just so Marinette can continue having Rena Rouge. Just wanted her to keep the Miraculous, expecting that Alya too agrees that Marinette's feelings were all that mattered in Hawkmoth knowing Rena's identity. She "forgives" her, so Alya may risk and loose everything now. Poor Marinette, Alya didnt agree that Mari's forgiveness was all that mattered :'(

She never tried giving her friends or teachers real reasons to believe her about Lila, she just wanted them to believe her whim and punish and bully the new girl bc Marinette said so. Sure doesnt sound like Marinette dislikes abuse of power and bullying, she just wants to be the one to decide who "deserves" it.

And Cat Noir we dont need to explain, I'll do it anyway. Marinette is nothing but selfish when it comes to Cat to a level that honestly were impressive if it wasnt so horrible in a kids show. I have never seen such an awful and selfish leader and partner who then has herself nothing but rewarded for not giving a shit beyond the barest minimum and being a toxic to outright abusive hypocrite as long as she says "I'm sowwy, I'm just so blameless and correct :'( and you're wrong and need to do better and take care of me for unfairly making me feel NOT like a Queen :'( Oh no! I'm so awful! But, like, only in the really flawless way where you have to do all the effort or else I'll get upsette"

That's no hero, no role model, no loving partner both romantic and platonic, and sure no ruler of the universe.

Yeah, the reason I say that the writing feels like Miraculous writers are punishing people for disagreeing or liking non-Marinette characters too much is specifically because of how utterly everything about the show and its actual, established moral code falls apart as soon as your suspension of disbelief is broken by one of the many, many, many, many breakdowns of its internal logic. This show is agonizing to watch when you aren't part of the segment of the audience the writers’ priorities cater to. When you aren’t excusing and forgiving everything the writers mess up, watching the show feels like a punishment.

Because, yeah, it’s about caring about the wrong thing. Caring about justice, when the writer’s want you to care only about Marinette’s personal justice. Caring about consistency when the only consistent thing is how far the writers are willing to bend things to excuse Marinette. Caring about any character besides Marinette, when the writers only care about Marinette. Caring about seeing a cute wholesome romance, when the only romance is the most toxic depiction of soulmates possibly ever seen.

There’s so much you have to ignore to just enjoy this show anymore, and it would be ridiculous if it wasn’t so depressing. And, because this show refused to conclude any of its arcs before it decided to turn them all into nightmare versions of the show you thought you were watching, going back to watch those old episodes also makes you feel like there’s this inky doom hanging over all the characters and their arcs. It's like peering behind the veil; you’ve seen something you shouldn't have and the normal doesn't feel normal anymore.

Unfortunately Abby never took the time to find out who she was actually hurting and failed to understand if he was in the wrong, so was she.

I could argue Cee had more reason to kill Ezra (seeing as the shoot out was over "loot" and not lives - and even though I see Ezra killing Damon as a mercy kill by that point since he was already dying). But in shocking news everyone's just trying to survive in these scenarios. Joel was trying to save a 14 year old girl for crying out loud. Seeing the bigger picture is bullshit reasoning.

No good parent would not try to save their kid. Selfish or not. Abby's father would have not sacrificed her - I saw that scene where she asked him if he would in game. It's easy to throw people under the bus if you have no connection to them and you are selfish.

Also, there was no reason to believe it would actually work - they only had a theory - the scientists were no better than those who experimented on children and minorities in the past. It's not fine and dandy even if you say the ends justify the means - for the families of those people it absolutely didn't! There is a reason legal adults are the only ones able to volunteer for science nowadays in countries with humane laws - and why we aren't allowed to sacrifice people even during mass epidemics. Doctors have a rule - do no harm - scientists should have a code too - do the least harm possible. That's not taking someone's brain out before even trying anything else. And let's not dive into how real life doctors have said over and over it wouldn't work. The game's creators gave a stupid reason to kill Ellie. So why shouldn't we be upset by it?

I've said this in one form or another over and over but I can't help myself. The reasoning behind killing Ellie for the cure was flimsy and killing Joel was hypocritical and naive and Abby's friends paid for it more than she did. Nobody's innocent in this but those to blame most were already dead (the firefly scientists).

It should've ended there.

TLOU 2's main plot was a disgrace to the first part imo. Would've been much more interesting Joel and Ellie dealing with their different views on his actions (still), and the main plot being a threat to Jackson, their new home where their loved ones are. If Joel needed to die he could've, by non-revenge, something like helping save Jackson, and making things maybe not right, but doing something majorly good in the end (even if it didn't make up for the past). Much more compelling to me than a depressed revenge plot for a scientist who deserved to die, imo.

At least John Wick is fun because he goes after truly bad people in a non-survival situation who killed the last gift he had from his wife, which happened to be an innocent puppy (truly evil) just because he retired and tried to be a better person for his wife. And then they kept going after him. So they asked for it. It's fun when actual villains get what's coming to them.

Ezra and Cee, Acacius and Lucius, they were intelligent characters/dynamics. Cee saw Ezra wasn't evil and protected her, and Lucius saw that Acacius had been just doing his job and the true enemy was the emperors, an enemy they shared. Lucius adjusted and put his anger in the right place.

but yeah i do totally agree that it's also an idealized version of each other that adds to their problems when it comes to lucentio and bianca at the end of the play! an aspect that very often gets overlooked about bianca in the play is that she is EXTREMELY manipulative (which is one of the reasons i love 10 things's bianca and bison because they took that aspect of her seriously!). in many ways, while you can make arguments for lucentio being more his genuine self because he revealed who he is to her immediately, bianca is the one that's manipulating him. that's not to say she doesn't genuinely feel something for him because the fact that she chooses him amongst all the suitors proves she does, but she also views him as an easy target in a lot of ways. which is why i say that their struggle is ALSO about control. because bianca starts to reveal her true colors at the end and proves herself not to be the dutiful wife that lucentio wants from her and he realizes he married a woman that doesn't listen to him!

which, is very much where the misogyny aspect also comes in. and i think that aspect is actually kind of interesting when you look at kant and bison because as i've mentioned before, the misogyny tends to translate over into more being because of the fact that fadel and bison are assassins... however the funny thing about kant and bison's power struggle, at least in their very first scene, is that kant doesn't know bison is an assassin yet, but still expects to be the one in control. which, yes, that's because of kant's inherent control issues, but it also kind of comes off like it's the assumption because of a lot of stereotypes about gay men, no? kant is bigger, kant is taller, of course he's the top and therefore the one in control, right? obviously we know that's wrong, but it IS another way the misogyny gets translated! (which i do find incredibly fascinating in it's own right. tbh i think there's whole other layer to be analyzed in terms of the sexual dynamics between these couples when comparing them to their taming counterparts. i'll probably find a way to talk about it eventually sdhdsfksdf)

but again you are very right that they haven't really been themselves (though like you pointed out bison SHOULD have realized sooner and it's so fascinating to me that he did genuinely close his eyes to it all when we know he was suspicious), and i think the katherina/petruchio parallel to fadel/style here is a perfect one! i also dont think it's wrong to look at ep6/7 as being the wedding despite being the midpoint because i totally agree we're meant to. while yes, this is an adaption, it's not gonna be a one to one translation in every aspect, so there are gonna be things that are moved around. i'd actually even argue that "the wedding(s)" happened even earlier - ep4! which, yes that's a literal way of looking at it, seeing as that's when both couples got together, but i also think it fits! that's when kant and bison's masks first started to really slip, which i talked about here. obviously they've still been lying to each other since then, but i think that's really when they started seeing more of the real person underneath and more genuine moments between them that aren't for the fake of it, which mimics the way lucentio and bianca start to see more of each other at the end of the play. fadel has also been successfully "tamed" by that point, which continues into ep5 with style getting him to do what he wants, like help kant and wear the matching shirts.

i am going to slightly disagree with the fact that kant handing over control to bison is reluctant, though! even before the scene on the boat, we see kant desperately wants to drop his own facade and is ready to be totally honest with bison. the problems comes in with the fact that by the time that he sees bison again, he's so terrified he isn't ABLE to willingly submit in a meaningful way - they need to be on land for that. on solid ground, so to speak.

so, while i think kant is going to willingly submit a lot in ep8, i also don't necessarily think it means their power struggle is TOTALLY over, cause i think you're totally right that bison needs to earn kant's submission, too... i just also don't think KANT realizes that. so while it's definitely not over, it's definitely a lot more settled than everything else sdjhsdf i think the one thing they can agree on and recognize about each other is who has the power in their relationship now that everything is out in the open. now, they have to figure everything else out.

It’s interesting to me how little Kant and Bison truly know and understand each other at this point in the series (ep 6/7).

In Taming, Lucentio and Bianca spend a substantial portion of the play alone in pretend “tutoring sessions” but at the end of the wedding, we find out that trouble is brewing in their happily ever after because despite all the time spent together, they hadn’t really fought or struggled with each other in their courtship. Throughout their relationship prior to the wedding, all their problems were external and so they never had to grapple with contention between them, and at the wedding they find out that they may not be as perfectly suited for each other as they initially thought (ie. both thought they were marrying unrealistic/idealised versions of each other).

And because Kant and Bison were both actively keeping the most true and raw parts of themselves hidden from each other, the natural outcome of the way their deceptions crossed was to make them both focus on the external “threats” either to their relationship developing (Fadel) or common ground (their love for their respective brothers). This serves to draw them together and unite them on what I would argue was a very surface level (although I will clarify, I think their shared love for their brothers is actually an incredibly important facet of their relationship, it just hasn't had time to really breathe/develop yet).

Contrast this with Fadel and Style whose respective secrets actually made them want the other to understand them so desperately that it drove them to bare all their most vulnerable and intimate parts of themselves to each other. Fadel’s fear caused him to push constantly towards the honesty that Style’s guilt was simultaneously making him offer without reservation. And in the face of that vulnerability, Fadel offered his heart laid bare on Style’s sheets because his desire to be known eclipsed his fear of it.

And it’s fascinating because this means they’re nearly done with their journey — all that’s left is for Style to convince Fadel of what is already true, and has been since Style promised to be Fadel’s 100%.

But Kant and Bison are still strangers in all the ways that matter the most. Narratively, we're only just arriving at the wedding scene, with the shattering of all illusions, and now they need to figure out how to make a marriage (lasting relationship) work with the truth of who they are.

And I, for one, cannot wait to see how the show is going to explore the proper unveiling of their characters to each other.
