Something I didn't notice about Trigger Happy Havoc until recently: at the end of every Closing Argument, we get to see the gradual progression of Makoto Naegi's mental and emotional state throughout the Killing Game. When exposing Leon for Sayaka's murder, we see him full of righteous fury, Ace Attorney style. The reality of Leon being executed for his crime hasn't hit him yet; he's too caught up in the moment of getting justice for Sayaka.

Needless to say, Leon's complete emotional breakdown (and then death) changes this.

When exposing Mondo for Chihiro's murder, Makoto is displayed looking firm, but not truly angry. There are beads of sweat running down both sides of his face, showing that this is an effort for him. This time, he is fully aware of the fate that awaits Mondo, and while he has to seal this fate in order for himself and everyone else to survive, he takes no pleasure in it.

When exposing Celeste for Taka and Hifumi's murders, you see his eyes closed and a pained expression on his face. He didn't want to do this again, which is why he had pleaded with Celeste to just confess everything beforehand. He is tired of being the one to fully expose his friends so that they will be voted to their deaths, as well as constantly having to acknowledge in doing so that his friends murdered other friends. It's always a reality that he hates facing.

And when exposing Hina for covering up Sakura's suicide, he just looks done.

He doesn't know whether Hina will be executed for what she did or even what Hina was trying to accomplish in it, all he knows is that exposing the truth behind awful things his friends have done and watching those friends break down is a wretched, painful experience.

But then, we get the last Closing Argument.

HOLY SHIT. Do you see his eyes? Makoto is PISSED. He's gone full circle and then some, since this is way angrier than he looked at Leon! The Mastermind is the one who caused all of this pain for him, and in calling them out directly by name, that pain shows very visibly.

He's a pure soul so he doesn't want even Junko dead, but he does very much want her to face justice....even moreso after learning the truth about he and his friends' memories and how all of the killings that have transpired are essentially on Junko for doing that to them.

Makoto Naegi: a more developed character than one might think!

Okay, I'm having a lot of thoughts about the new Hazbin Hotel episodes, but a lot of it has probably already been said here, so I'll just say something nobody or only the minority of the fandom will say at this point.

I still f*cking enjoy Adam as a character!

I don't care how many people disagree with me but I have fun watching this dude and this most likely won't change. He's a brash, narcissistic bastard but he's a damn hilarious one and I'm looking forward to whatever comes next in the story for him. If it's satisfying for me, I'll vibe with it, if it's shitty and anticlimactic, I'll do my own fanon untapping his layed out potential, just like many people do with underdeveloped characters they like.

Just really wanted to get this out this unpopular opinion to throw in some positivety for this character in the sea of the recent posts pointing a hard middle finger at the dude.

Okay, what if Half-foxian Jing Yuan.

Bear with me, for some reason, Jing Yuan's parents did the Foxian tradition of career choosing when he was a kid, but why?

I have decided, it's cuz one of his parents is Foxian.

I mean, look at that volumptious hair. No way he ain't got some foxian in him.

Don't question what being a half-foxian entails in terms of his biology. Maybe that's why he's so cunning. Maybe one of his eyes are foxian and the other is xianzhou native, meaning one is sharper than the other and they work unevenly so he only sees through one at a time to avoid headaches. Maybe the top half of his hair is left especially long to symbolise the foxian tail he never got. And that red ribbon...

I don't care what y'all say, but Jing Yuan is half-foxian, and you don't get to argue with me about it.
