Beomgyu thought about that night more often than he'd like to admit. The quiet ramen shop, your sleepy smile, and the way you'd said, "I'm glad it was you tonight."

He hadn't seen you since, though he found himself wondering if you remembered anything about that night or about him and he didn't expect you to. It's okay, you'd been tipsy, after all, and he figured the moment had meant more to him than it had to you.

His friend Yeonjun cornered him one afternoon, grinning like he knew something Beomgyu didn't.

"So," Yeonjun started, leaning against the table. "Why didn't you tell me you had a thing with her?"

Beomgyu frowned. "What are you talking about?"

"You know, her."

Beomgyu's stomach flipped, the assumption shattered. "Wait, how do you- what do you mean?"

Yeonjun smirked, clearly enjoying Beomgyu's flustered state. "She's been asking around for your number."

Beomgyu froze, blinking at him. "What?"

"Yeah. She asked me earlier," Yeonjun said casually, picking at the edge of his drink. "Wanted to know if she could get your contact info."

"She... asked for my number?"

Yeonjun gave him a look. "Are you just going to repeat everything I say, or are you going to do something about it?"

Beomgyu's mind raced. He couldn't figure out why you'd want to talk to him again. You hadn't seemed overly attached that night; you'd been polite, sure, but you didn't seem the type to get sentimental about someone you barely knew.

And yet, you'd gone out of your way to ask for his number.

"So," he paused. "did you give it to her?" Beomgyu asked hesitantly.

Yeonjun rolled his eyes. "Of course I did. Do you think I'd sabotage your love life like that?"

Beomgyu exhaled, dapping him up in excitement.

"But it's not like that!"

"Sure, it's not." Yeonjun gave him a proud, knowing grin. "Anyway, don't act so clueless when she texts you."

Later that evening, as Beomgyu sat on his couch scrolling aimlessly through his phone, it buzzed in his hand. He glanced at the screen, his breath catching when he saw a message from an unknown number.

Hey, it's me. I think I owe you a meal now.

His fingers hovered over the keyboard, his thoughts racing. He didn't want to overthink it, but how could he not?

Finally, he typed a response.

You don't owe me anything, but I'm not saying no to ramen.

Your reply came almost instantly.

Good. Tomorrow night? Same place?

Beomgyu stared at the screen, his pulse quickening. He wasn't sure what he'd expected when Yeonjun told him you'd been looking for him, but it definitely wasn't this.

Tomorrow works. I'll meet you there.

The next night, Beomgyu arrived at the ramen shop early. He fiddled with his phone as he waited, trying to calm the nerves that were steadily building.

When you walked in, his breath hitched. You weren't dressed up like you had been at the party, but you looked even better in your casual clothes. Relaxed, approachable, with that same quiet grace he or everyone else couldn't take their eyes off of.

"Hi." you greeted, sliding into the seat across from him.

"Hey," he replied, trying to keep his voice steady.

The conversation started light, with small talk about the party and your mutual friends. Though it didn't take long for you to steer it into more personal territory.

"You know," you said, resting your chin on your hand, "I was kind of worried you'd think I was annoying for asking your friends for your number."

Beomgyu blinked, startled. "Why would I think that?"

You shrugged, a small smile playing on your lips. "You seem like the type who doesn't really like to be bothered. I figured you might've thought I was doing too mucj."

He shook his head, unable to hide his own smile. "If anything, I thought you'd think I was annoying. I mean, I just kind of ended up being the designated ramen guy that night."

Your laugh was soft but genuine. "The ramen guy? Is that what you're calling yourself now?"

"I mean, it's accurate," he teased, his confidence growing with your easygoing demeanor.

"Well, it worked out, didn't it?" you said, your smile turning playful. "I was looking for an excuse to talk to you anyway."

Beomgyu's eyes widened, nearly dropped his chopsticks. "You were?"

You nodded, taking a sip of broth before meeting his gaze. "Yeah. I guess I just got tired of waiting for you to say something first."

His heart pounded, your words echoing in his head. Were you really waiting for him?

For once, he didn't overthink it. He smiled, leaning forward slightly. "Well, if I'd known, you wouldn't have had to wait."

You held his gaze for a moment, your expression softening, lips forming a smirk.

"Good," you said, biting your lip while staring at his eyes.

Just like that, Beomgyu knew this wasn't going to be a one-time thing and even if it is, he wouldn't let it.

Also i have to wonder bc. It does just look like his legs n arms were cut up in pieces and rearranged ⁉️⁉️⁉️ does some connection remain is there some nerves etc running in those metal parts. A little worried abt what seems to be a weebit of swelling around the thigh area but im not an expert ⁉️⁉️⁉️ i mean i think he has bigger problems so.

But yeah i love his like long legs short torso physique he's so. Elegant and wiry ooooh beautiful elf doctor i have a fever please talk to me.
