rylie!! the new chapter was so good!! i’m so invested right now 😭 loved vamp reader giving into her true nature, slowly but surely shedding the mask she had forced herself to fit into. and i adored the little details about her vampiric nature, such as her nails, inhuman strength, mental manipulation powers or her features being otherworldly, it pulled me all the more into the story, because that’s one of the parts of vampire fiction i love the most, all those things that make them transcendent and makes the story feel more gothic. also, that part about reader wondering if she’d drown and not having much knowledge about how being a vampire works made me wonder if that stretches to other things as well, like imagine if she’s been hiding from the sun for no reason all these years 😭 and that makes me more curious about all the other ways vampires work in your story. like can they turn into bats, what of garlic and religious symbols? i really enjoy your writing, it is very captivating and you have such a poetic, natural way with words.

ooh yes 🤭 so there are definitely things that dazai has kept from her, one of them kind of connects to the sunlight. older vampires are generally stronger, so they are less sensitive to the sunlight. so a vampire like dazai, who is closer to 600 years old, all of his powers (like the mine control) are basically elevated, and the sun has much less effect on him… but she doesn’t know that! there are some other things that will come into play later, regarding his strength. all the traditional methods of killing vampires work in the universe. but the older they are, the harder it is to kill them !

and then in my story, vampires aren’t affected by garlic or religious symbols or anything ! there is one thing that kind of repels a vampire which i’m putting in the next chapter <3 and then their only powers are the super strength / speed and mind control ! it’s easy for them to blend in with humans. also they can see themselves in mirrors and photos.

I remember living in Selvadorada with some other sims, and how long it’d take them to get from one side of a map to another, so I figured why not try it?
