Where’s the beef?

This is going to sound silly but I think I pinpointed the reason Amphoreus feels so different to me. It’s the lack of beef.

Ever since Belobog with Svarog and Cacolia, it has not taken much for someone to escalate or talk shit no matter the situation.

There’s several conversations with Acheron that boil down to “I don’t care who IX is. We can fight right now” and I love it. Everyone talked shit to Golpherwood and he talked shit back. Boothill and Rappa were talking trash to the lead ape every other sentence.

We had an entire philosophical debate with Sunday just for him to go “Well I suppose you’re gonna have to see me on the stage.” Sir, you’re right. I guess we’re fighting.

Phantilya has two different ships calling her a bitch; mind you, she isn’t even aligned with the Aeon they actually hate!

Hoolay is a legendary boogie man and everyone who fought him called him mutt. Jaiqiou was giggling while bleeding out thinking about how that man must be choking on the poison.

Hoolay said “the air is cold?” And here comes Yanqing staring him in the face saying “my blade is even colder.” My boy, relax! There are horror stories about this beast and nobody in that arena gave a fuck. Feixiao was fighting him with a smirk on her face. Every Cloud Knight is ready talk reckless and swing. I love it.

We need more disrespect and shade in Amphorious lol. I need the Flame Reaver to show up and Hyacine just tells him to get lost. She’s gonna become the Sky Titan and knock that man out of the air cause he destroyed the grove. Anytime Topaz shows up there’s a 40% chance the scene ends with us fighting her men and a reminder that Topaz is choosing not to crash out. I miss that energy.

Honestly, I used to like them, but ever since Penacony ended, the Astral Express have been on thin fucking ice with me.

After pretty much not doing anything for all of Penacony but being treated like they did, Penacony ends with Himeko becoming a capitalist, suddenly revealing that we need to get magic fuel RIGHT NOW or we're all doomed, and having Black Swan temporarily join the Express to lead them to Amphoreus to get their fuel.

...the next update, we go to the Luofu. Black Swan has disappeared. Suddenly, the writers have decided that Trailblazer, March 7th, and Dan Heng were minors this whole time, and that means that Himeko is allowed to lecture them on how going to a festival they were invited to is more important than their home's impending doom. None of what follows seems to be important to the plot except for a twist reveal that seems to be more connected to what Himeko and Welt were doing. That you, as Trailblazer, wasn't allowed to be a part of. Because tHe aDulTs wouldn't let them come.

Outside of some small things (and, you know, this being blatant filler with bad timing), I actually did find the March event to be okay. Not amazing, but okay. But the Wardance with Luka... god... it was so horrible to watch Trailblazer being okay with the IPC npc and Topaz, and refusing to defend Luka from them, but defending him the moment it was Boothill... that event almost single handedly made me hate them. They copy Traveler in the worst ways.

And now, the return to Penacony is the last straw. We repeat the beginning of the last continuance, with Himeko being twice as infantilizing towards the now-minors by having her actively referring to herself and Welt as the grown-ups and forcing them to attend an academy while she and Welt do the 'boring grown up work'. Once again, Black Swan doesn't show up at all, and this time, there isn't even a mention of the extremely important plot point that was established in the last main quest. The only good thing about this quest so far is that Rappa and Reca are actually allowed to be weirdos.

By the time we get to Amphoreus in 3.0, which we could've done months ago instead of adding unnecessary map to Luofu and Penacony and forcing hsr into The Genshin Mold when it has done nothing but make the game worse, nobody will even remember what was supposed to be happening and the Express will be significantly worse characters.

(Man, remember when Himeko treated every member of the Express like their opinions were equal? You would think Mr. Gave A 16 Year Old He Just Met His Herrscher Powers would be against this, but unfortunately he's so ooc in hsr that he goes along with it. Oh yeah, and remember when Trailblazer being silly looked like a nice change of pace after Traveler and not a cover for them being a capitalist bootlicker?)

Oh definitely Boothill. Fourteen's usually very good at concealing his feelings, mostly out of instinct, but once Boothill was severely injured and was hanging by a thread, Fourteen had to break through the IPC shootout and drag him to a mechanic with Argenti's help. He was laser focused, but as soon as Boothill's in the surgery, he was in a pile of tears. He cried so hard he got a fever. Also he makes Argenti promise him to never tell that to Boothill (unfortunately Argenti already informed him before said promise lmao.)

Other than that, the closest that would bring him to tears is Rappa and Firefly, due to their similar background.

The IPC would not respect my boy. Jade would love to get him to her shop. Dr Primitive would love to experiment on him seeing that he has regressed many times and still keep his sanity in tact (barely. its there but eh)

Not canon character but he would loveee having an insane beef with Lingjiao.

He does NOT respect Genius Society 😭😭😭 he hates them. He thinks that they are too focused on discovery to actually do anything helpful to anyone for it. He would have insane beef with Ruan Mei for trying to that cloning emenator shit (and also she reminds him of his father. not good). The least disrespected member is Screwllum.

Any IPC member is a given. Not Topaz and Aventurine though. He understands their circumstances but he still disliked them.

He respects those who's on the same path as him. He generally respects the Xianzhou Alliance, and fellow Rangers. He's particularly respect Boothill for mentoring him and raising him to at least be human (Boothill did so much more than that). Boothill is his moral compass. He also respects Rappa, though he said he's not that close to Rappa due to their differing journey (he's fond of her but shhhhh don't tell her that). He also respects Argenti. Sure he doesn't understand most of the time what he's yapping about, but he also appreciates that Argenti sees beauty in anything. It's comforting in a way and adorable.

He respect the Trailblazers, especially Himeko for her role in reigniting the life to the Astral Express' Train. Welt for his enthusiasm for toku genre and his artistic hands and maybe his wisdom sometimes. Dan Heng for his scholastic and martial prowess (he's still kinda ugly tho. and he looks like he's divorced). March 7th for her cheery personality, keen observation and the way she looks forward to making new memories, something he should do more. Trailblazer, for their humorous personality and will of steel (they reminds him a lot of Xue Hongye).

He highly respect Bronya Rand, for her strategic move during the deals with IPC. Facing against a giant corporation while making sure your citizens gets to have basic necessities and beyond is a baller move.

He also kinda ? respect Stellaron Hunters solely for the fact that their pain in the asses of IPC. An enemy of an enemy is a friend of mine.

For vice versa, Boothill respect him and proud of him. To think that the lil malbourished ankle biter's now grown up and using his strength to help people, he could not be happier. Rappa respect him as well, saying that he might be standoffish, but he actually cares a lot and always checked her health everytime they meet.

I don't think a lot of people would respect him mostly because he's rude and standoffish on purpose.

ALMOST FORGOT he respect Ratio Veritas bc he was the professor of his course when he went undercover at the academy. He finds that Dr. Ratio is straight to the point and doesn't dally around words and his subjects are fun to learn. The chalk sure hurts but nothing compared to training with Boothill.

While it's not all that fleshed out, I've worked this into his past and design a bit! It's def not necessary to explain his character but beyond the fact that I WANT to believe he's transmasc intersex I think that it enhances several parts of his character and doesn't contradict with anything we know about him. (TW for below the cut // mentions of CSA, aftermaths of CSA, vague suicidal ideations, gender dysphoria, and gender dysphoria caused by CSA. We get into iffy territory quickly, stay safe!)

What I'm defending: Aventurine uses he/she pronouns, grew up being treated as a girl, has lower female genitalia but otherwise/hormonally is widely masculine, and is infertile.

For starters, Aventurine has that voice. Y'know, the kind you only hear from gay men, certain trans people, tomboys, and early 2000s disney channel stars? He fits the queer phenomenon, but it could be explained by a hormonal imbalance causing difficulties with his voice dropping. He was never insecure about it, and certainly wasn't dysphoric with where his voice ended up. It's androgynous, pleasant, and something he can use to his advantage--he'd use any part of himself for an advantage.

In a strange way, despite now preferring masculine representation, I think he finds using she/her as a safe space. It's what his family referred to him as, it was how he dressed, and it was his role among the Avgins. He was his mother's little girl, and his sister's sister. When he's feeling his worst, he likes to present more femininely.

^ cont. In some cases where it might bring up bad memories, or make him feel vulnerable, it's a shield. It's him still being his father's Kakavasha. When he is Aventurine, he is a lie of Jade's creation, and one of his few choices with that image is his gender. He gets to be masculine, it's his freedom, but he also gets to choose femininity to stay connected to his past. It's a chain, but he's always had those. It's his choice to lock those cuffs around himself this time, it's familiar. His hold on his own gender frustrates even him, but he's got more pressing issues than figuring himself out. He might not even live that long before he kills himself dawg so whooooo ccaaaaarreeess (ME.) Anyways don't bring up his gender on twitter or smth they'd hate to see his intersex he/she transmasc sometimes willingly feminine presenting but always vaguely androgynous ass coming

Ahem. It also explains his comfort and connections with other female characters, too, and specifically how so many of his closest relationships are female or... well, incapable of sex. Topaz and Jade are technically, if not emotionally, safe spaces for him. His tenuous connection with Ratio, Sunday, Boothill, and possibly the trailblazer, goes past his tenuous connection with the world, it's because they're men. His relationship with Ratio is so complicated that I won't go into it, not that I'm an expert past reading a few essays anyways, but there's no doubt in my mind that Aventurine feels safe around him. He oscillates between believing Ratio despises him and that they're perfect allies. Boothill and his relationship hasn't been explored much on screen (but I'm writing a fanfic RN about them I can't stop I'm going crazy ive already published 17k words) but Boothill... well he aint got no dick. nor balls. Weenless, hateful, and his closest friend is a woman (Rappa), so I think they're okay, too. No elaboration on Sunday because I assume you've seen their interactions and no elaboration on the trailblazer because I believe in Stelle supremacy.

I would just genuinely not like to elaborate too much on my next point because it's repulsive, but I also believe being intersex in the way that he is would make Aventurine particularly valuable as the kind of entertainment slave he was kept as. Due to his hormonal disorder, his periods would be few and far between when he got them, plus there's no small chance he'd be infertile. As an object, he has easy upkeep.

Shallow addition, he is a smooth, short, effeminate man, with big beautiful eyes/eyelashes, and a soft jawline. Twice as beautiful as any cisman could hope to be.

There's the big points!! I have plenty of small headcanons that come up the more I think about him/write him, but I don't know how many I could pull off the top of my head. Thank you for the ask <3

I'm honestly so sad with the way Kirishima's character was handled by Horikoshi, he doesn't deserve him.

Like how can Horikoshi have Rappa swear he's going to fight Kirishima again, and then have Rappa be like the only villain that doesn't show up again in the final war arc??? And then have Kirishima - whose entire character growth was a major plot point in the early chapters - just do nothing?? We don't even SEE the fight that got Kirishima all beaten up.

I love Kirishima so much and he just deserved so much better.

And that's not even to mention Kirishima's friendship with Bakugou, which was also a major plot point and imperative to Bakugou's AND Kirishima's growth. Not showing Kirishima worried about Bakugou, despite less than a year ago he was willing to get himself killed just to save Bakugou, was DUMB. There is no way that Kirishima would see Bakugou pass out on the battlefield and NOT want to be by his side. This isn't even about shipping, it's about the complete disregard for the friendship that was built.

How can Kirishima be willing to die for Bakugou, but not willing to run to his side when he's RIGHT there? Absolute bullshit. I hate it. I hate everything about the war arc.

The way Horikoshi just replaced Bakugou and Kirishima's friendship with Bakugou and Midoriya the second Bakugou apologised pisses me off so bad, and I LOVE the Bakugou and Midoriya friendship. But to just disregard the friendship carefully built up throughout the manga for a friendship that should be hella fucking strained is so stupid and I hate it.

I don't actually think I've ever had such a problem with the way a story has gone in my life - and I've watched many things that have fallen off. But this war arc was a waste of time. No one of importance died, the fights were shit, and the big bad fight with Shigaraki ended in literal seconds by a 15 and 16 year old punching him???? What the fuck was the point???

My Main Account's bilan : Luck flopped, but supports prevailed ?

I have no idea how to do this, but let's get started.

I guess a bit of history is needed here, so I'll recap my pull history first for characters then lightcones (and there are a lot of mistakes I could've avoided. This is also why I'm creating this blog. Hopefully I'll be held accountable for those).

Characters

First off, characters. I've been tracking my pulls since the beginning, so nothing has been lost - I can use my pull tracker to showcase those :

That's where I'll say it, and I think I'll repeat it : do not fish for 4 stars or you'll end up like me. The sole reason I even have e1 Sparkle is because I was a big Qingque fan in 2.0 and I wanted her e6 so I ended up fishing for her e6 - and got Sparkle instead.

I have actually fished for Moze E6 this patch but it was extremely risky - don't go fishing on banners you don't want the 5* of, please.

Luck has not been on my side since - I did get a few earlies, but always on guarantee, and I don't know if that will change soon (hopefully, we pray). Gepard has been actively plaguing this account, to the point that it's become a meme - and I ended up picking him in 2.7 just to get the last copy and get this over with (it was either that or E1 Bronya, which would've probably been wasted).

Losses are, in order from older to newer :

Kafka => Himeko (E1)

Ruan Mei => Gepard (E2)

Aventurine => Gepard (E4)

Robin => Gepard (E5)

Yunli => Bailu (E0)

Robin => Clara (E0)

Fugue => Clara (E1)

The only thing I'll get out from that is that Gepard has a serious problem with me and that Harmonies (especially Robin) hate me so much. It's unreal.

I guess this screenshot deserves to be shown - because, to this day, I still haven't got March's E6, but Gepard ? Of course. And he's useless because Aventurine makes him redundant - when the content even allows for shields which doesn't seem to be the case much lately.

Bleh, at least I have access to the silver items for the shop - if I lose on him or standard decides to be nice. Doesn't seem like it for now, but I don't lose hope.

Now that the 50/50 pool has changed, I decided to remove :

Bailu (E0) : Useless to me, I got her wayyy too late for her to be built anyway - she's also the only E0 standard I own, besides Bronya (but Bronya is never going off the pool).

Clara (E1) : Another useless unit to me. I literally have an E0S1 Yunli - I'm sorry Clara, you're always staying out of the pool.

Yanqing (E1) : I love Yanqing, I really do, he's built and everything, but it was either him or Welt (both are E1 too). And I think Welt's eidolons are better, I also would rather see a Hunt symbol and know that I have gotten Seele (or the unit on rate up if it's a Hunt unit)

I did decide to add Fu Xuan to the pool despite her E2 being lackluster - she still does see some use on my account and I would rather get her than any of the characters I have removed.

Blade I hope is going to get a very good buff, because I wanna use him and I would not be mad to lose to him either. Seele is one of the chars I wanted to have at some moment, so I'd take copies all day.

Gepard is always gonna stay there - I remember how much I wished that he stayed out of my 50/50s, just to keep him here forever. Kinda ironic.

Light Cones

This is where it gets funny - and where most of my regrets, if I can say I have some, stem from.

See, sometimes, I just wanna use pulls even though I definitely should be saving. "Heh, I'll just do one ten pull to fish for this 4* lightcone since I need more copies". The voices hit hard.

Ultimately, I have pretty average luck on the lightcone banner, at least for the win rate. You might've seen the two earlies in green are either a dupe of a lightcone I owned or a lightcone for a character I don't own ? Yeah, those were the mistakes we made along the way.

I don't regret it too much though, at least I can run the super cursed Superbreak Anaxa comp with Rappa's cone and it's funny

Losses were, in order :

Moment of Victory (S1) => Before Dawn (JY's signature, back in 1.0)

Moment of Victory (S2) => Worrisome, Blissful (Topaz's signature, in 2.4 I believe ?)

Kinda ironic, if you ask me. Not very victorious. But also very ironic considering I used to see Gepard everywhere - now you tell me his light cone plagues me too ? Fun times.

Standard Pulls

Those are less important, but I'd rather share them quickly than forget them :

To think that Welt + his signature cone and Gepard makes up half of my standard pulls is honestly a weird stat. I dunno what grandpa is cooking recently, but it feels like Gepard at his prime - and I'm kind of hoping it is not. I've been traumatized once. Not twice, please. Let me win some 50/50s 🥲

And now, what are you cooking ? What are your future plans ?

Now, I think I will be building Qingque (or rather, rebuilding her and finishing her traces). It's only a matter of time before we get invaded by Quantum weaknesses everywhere - as much as I hate to admit, I need to play by the rules otherwise I'll just not be able to do anything and that means building a quantum unit, hence why I'm building the gambling gremlin (I love her sm). I'm not at all feeling great about the future, my resolve to clear endgame is already at an all time low, so I might as well have fun with my resources - Castorice isn't for me, I do not like her, and I was dead set on pulling Anaxa anyway, so I did.

As for pulls, I'm currently saving for a potential The Herta soon ? Depending on when she reruns, I might go for her. DPSes on reruns are rarely a good idea, but I do own Anaxa - and this gives me an excuse to play him even more. AND it feels my Ice Weakness niche. Great pull for me overall - even though I'd need to luck out on her and Tribbie after that, hopefully she leaves me some time to save.

I'll probably continue pulling supports after this though - I rarely pull dpses and I was still maining JY 2 years after his release, which is something that's insane if you think about it.

Build wise, I do want better relics for Anaxa, Yunli and I want to rebuild my Bronya entirely, but I'm satisfied with my builds at this moment - Bronya will have to wait, I'm not going back to Sacerdos until I'm finished with QQ.

Feixiao, Jade and Rappa tbh I didn’t really find them all that fun and I didn’t have characters that went well with them so I just skipped. Also I believe most of the Jade hate was because she was announced and not Sunday. She’s so fine but I couldn’t get into her play style. Mydei, Phainon, and Castorice are my next goals fr. I will also attempt to make progress on the other characters I wanna build. There’s also a beautiful man that’s gonna be playable and introduced soon named Anaxa and he’s also on my to get list lol. I’ve only read leaks on him but he’s fine lol. ITS TOTALLY FINE! I was just curious if you were into/invested in other games I need more distractions fr.

CALEB OMG. Ok so he’s everything what people expected Sylus to be. He’s a Yandere like totally obsessed with us. AND SOME OF HIS VOICELINES ARE SO FREAKY 😫😫. In the main story he talked about keeping us to himself, like locking us up to keep us with him. Here’s Direct quote from the man himself “if you wanna return to the past, we’ll rebuild our old house together and move in together. And if one house isn’t enough I’ll build you a whole maze. I’ll decorate it with everything you could ever want. It will be the most beautiful, stunning garden you’ve ever seen. No one will be able to find you ever again. I’ll protect you forever.” there was also a bond moment where he admitted to intentionally locking us up in the attic as kids. This man is obsessed. What kinda upset me was all the hate he got before he was released talking about no one wanted him as a love interest and that it was weird because he was basically a brother (which they were never raised as siblings so wtf) people really switched up when it was revealed that he has a mechanical arm. He’s very Winter Soldier coded according to people. TELL ME IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HIS CARDS I WILL HAPPILY YAP!!!

I DID SKIP FEIXIAO WHEN SUNDAY CAME OUT… but I got her on the rerun!! I really love her she’s such a good character to me and I also really enjoyed her kit. IT SEEMS LIKE WERE COMPLETELY OPPOSITE ON HOW WE PLAY SKSKSK who’s your main team?

Blade has always been my favorite so my main team that I built to completion first was Blade, Tingyun, Sparkle (another fave of mine she is so tiny goblin girlfriend) and Luocha AND I KNOW PEOPLE DONT REALLY FW BLADE ANYMORE but my blade still manages to pull off some crazy dmg so maybe they just can’t handle my babygirl 💅🏻

And then I have my Sunday team that I mentioned before bc now algaea’s on it. I might switch out Robin for Bronya if I ever build Bronya, because I try not to let my teams crossover too much

And then my Feixiao team! Feixiao, Moze, Robin, Aventurine

I’d really like to build my Argenti and get him on a good team AND I REALLY NEED SOME GOOD ICE CHARACTERS. I love Yanqing he is so son but I need more like… aoe and less single target characters THATS WHAT I GET FOR PULLING BASED ON VIBES

I liked some of the story scenes but his voice lines were kind 🤨🤨🤨 IYKWIM “not now kitten whiskers” ahh dialogue BUT WHAT THAT GAME NEEDED WAS A TRUE UNHINGED GUY THAT WANTED TO KIDNAP YOU. Rafayel could’ve come close but… we needed MORE. I would love to hear about his cards!! Also… I’m gonna say it… i personally would’ve liked the whole raised together so he’s obsessive vibe like I knew he had a brother vibe to him before but that made me want to fuck him more tbh but maybe I’m fucked up ! I was just lightly poking fun at you for collecting muses that are super interesting but then the canon source just kinda ghosts them wrt Q and Misha/Mikhail. With Yumeno I'll keep it short cause this is not the correct blog. But it baffles me how they were handled. There's definitely a lot of ' flat ' crazy creepy child characters with zero development or backstory and they're only there to be creepy. But they gave Yumeno just enough backstory and importance ( being around since Dazai and Chuuya were also kids, the whole mafia massacre incident that was never elaborated on at all, their true feelings about their ability ) to like be interesting and then just DROPPED THEIR CHARACTER ENTIRELY ? HELLO ? I still think Asagiri could have used them in the vampire arc but that did not happen.

With Misha VNC / Mikhail ( taking up two Mishas was a mistake ), it actually GENUINELY pisses me off how he was handled. There was this whole build - up about how Misha's ' death ' was haunting Vanitas and how much Misha meant to him. THEN it went though the whole backstory about how they essentially went through hell together and how they were all that they had. Even then, when Misha got corrupted by the Book of Vanitas, there was that panel where Vanitas was reaching out to help him before Noe stepped in. And then it feels like Mochijun retconned all of that and suddenly made Vanitas not give a FUCK about Misha once chapter 55 happened. Like I get that Misha's co-dependence on Vanitas is not healthy and Vanitas should have friends too but at the same time, Misha is definitely being AT MINIMUM used ( if not neglected and/or abused. My interpretation is just neglected ) by the Comte. It's unrealistic and its heartless. People in reality are capable of having friends / romantic interests / and siblings at the same time and that's totally not rocket science or anything ! There's a sliver of hope I suppose because VNC isn't over yet but it could have been handled much better and there was no reason for Vanitas to outright ABANDON Misha. Literally what the fuck was Mochijun on about with that creative decision. She's a wonderful writer but those were really bad choices.

With Misha HSR, I'm not necessarily ANGRY about that like I am with Misha VNC. However, it does make me depressed that we're most likely never going to see him again. The story was handled wonderfully but at the same time, I think I would have rather had him be a little less lore relevant but still appear more often like say, the trio of Guinaifen, Sushang, and Huohuo or the random five stars that appear every so often like Argenti. Not to mention we won't ever get a character - centric event for him like the Wardance with Yanqing and Luka and Sound Hunt Ninjustu Inscription with Rappa or even see him just talk like say Pela and Lynx and Qingque ( though we barely get Pela as is. But at least she's ALIVE ). He's just. Gone. I saw someone on Reddit say that Misha's story was just beginning and they're entirely correct. Misha should have been on that train. And you can't tell me there weren't ways to keep him alive cause like I said in a post I made a while ago, there's Sora and Roxas and however many derivatives he has, there's Steven Universe and Rose Quartz, and I HEARD there's like something similar going on with Furina and Focalors though I've not played Genshin before. Either way, THEY COULD HAVE TRIED HARDER BUT THEY WANTED TO KILL HIM SO BAD 😭 AND GALLAGHER TOO.

Well. Maybe they'll pull a Tingyun / Fugue. Maybe I'll get my five star Misha one day. Maybe Misha will be alive one day. TRUST.
