we were drunk, it happens - pt. 4
part 1 / part 2 / part 3 / part 4

pairing: lando norris x verstappen!reader warnings: pregnancy words: 1.4k
summary: lando tells yn he loves her after finding out she is pregnant
She wanted to cry. Y/N didnât want to tell Lando about it. Not yet. She was only around 6 weeks along. Why did he have to find out now? Why didnât Max close the door? Why wasnât she more careful? What was she even doing here?
âJust leave, Lando!â, Y/N shouted and wanted to take it back as soon as she saw Lando wince. She pulled knees to her chest and buried her face in the fabric of her dress.
It was such a huge mistake to come to this Grand Prix. Everything went wrong in her life. She hated it.
Max stepped forward to hug his sister.
âIt is alright, little one. Everything is going to be ok. Believe me. Just breathe. See, Lando isnât yelling at you. He isnât mad. Right, Lando?â, he said glaring at the younger man.
âNo! No. Y/N. Why did you think I would be mad? Youâre pregnant, right? That should make you happy. It is a baby. A little you. So donât be scared, please.â Oh, he was so scared. He wanted to scream and wanted to throw himself out of the non-existent window. A baby? A little human? How would he take care of them?
âBut. You are so busy and always travelling and we are so young. I am 22! You are not much older! How would we do thatâ, Y/N sobbed and was embarrassed for being this emotional. Damn hormones.
âHey. It will all work. It is ok. We are going to be ok. We will have a baby. Thatâs great!â
Y/N used the back of her hand to wipe away the tears on her face.
âYou really arenât mad?â, she asked, still not really believing Lando.
âNo. I really am not. I am happy. I didnât exactly plan for any of this to happen, but it is nice. Maybe you could come over next week and we could just⊠talk about it? Maybe itâll make you feel better? Were you already at the doctors to get the baby checked?â
Y/N shook her head.
âNot, yet. But I have an appointment next week. Then I will find out if the babyâs ok.â
Lando nodded and smiled so Y/N finally allowed herself to calm down. He really wasnât mad at her for being pregnant. He looked happy.
***
âMax! You donât understand! I got Verstappenâs sister pregnant!â Lando stared at his friend, Max Fewtrell, in front of him. âThis is terrible. We were finally getting along again after he⊠you know⊠realized we did it⊠and now his sister is pregnant because of me!â
âI get it Lando. But you canât do anything. It is how it is. Didnât you say you were happy about it? You told her you were. Did you lie?â Max hissed. âBro you cannot lie to a pregnant woman. Furthermore, you told me you like her so where is the problem?â
âYes, but we said no feelings! So, I cannot tell her that I have liked her this whole time! But she also shouldnât be handling the pregnancy alone! Max!â, Lando whined. âI donât know what to do.â The brunette flopped on the couch.
He forced himself to take a deep breath. He definitely had done something wrong in his life. Why didnât he use a condom? WhyâŠ
âStop beating yourself up, Landoâ, Max said. âThis is something great. You will have a baby! And you love kids. But maybe you shouldnât ask yourself if you want to have a baby. If you want to have Y/N as your girlfriend. You should ask yourself if you want to be a dad and a boyfriend.â
âOh, shut up. Why are you always saying some smart shit.â
âI donât just say smart shit, I am smart. As the older one of us I have to help you and give you advice for life.â
âYou are literally 3 and a half months older⊠thatâs nothing⊠Max, I really fucked up this time.â Lando buries his face in his hands and sighed. âI want to be a dad. Really. But not yet? I am not ready for this. I am practically a kid myself! I cannot take care of a literal baby.â
âWell, either that or you tell Y/N you donât want to have a baby and risk her hating you. Your choice, Lando. But donât decide now. Wait until you know the baby is healthy. Talk to her about your concerns. Think about it. Promise me that, Lando.â Max looked at his friend.
âI will, I promise.â
***
Only an hour later Lando was standing in front of Y/Nâs door. He really wanted to wait until next week but just couldnât. He had to talk to her.
He knocked and only a couple seconds later the door opened, and Y/N was standing in front of him.
âLando? What are you doing here? It is literally midnight!â
âI am sorry. But I had to talk to you because I talked to Max. Not you brother Max the other Max. My Max. And I want to be there for the baby. And I have feelings for you and I was so scared of telling you because I know we said no feelings involved but they are involved and I wanna be there for you and the baby when it is born and I know I shouldnât be here at midnight telling you all that because I am probably just sleep deprived or so but. I love you, Y/N.â As soon as he finished talking, Lando took a deep breath and held it, waiting for Y/N to say something.
âThat⊠was a lotâ, Y/N finally said. âBut I like you too, Lando. From the first time I saw you with those ridiculously good-looking curls and those blue eyes. I would love if you were involved in mine and the babyâs life.â
Lando just stared at Y/N and couldnât really believe it yet.
âYou⊠you like me too?â, he asked. He would have though Y/N would call him crazy and that she would say she didnât like him at all, but he definitely didnât expect this here to happen.
âI do. And you are an idiot if you havenât noticed it yet.â Y/N said and smiled a little.
âOh.â
âSo⊠I have the doctorâs appointment tomorrow. Do you want to come with me? Just making sure the baby is ok. I could use someone to talk to in the waiting room.â
Lando nodded. In that moment he was sure he was the happiest person on earth.
âDo you⊠no forget itâ, Y/N started.
âDo I what? Tell me! You canât start a sentence like that and then keep me hanging. Tell me!â
Y/N took a deep breath.
âDoyouwannastayherewithme.â Lando stared at her as if she was crazy. What the fuck did she just say? That was too fast for his brain at midnight.
âHuh?â
âDo you want to stay here? With me?â
Lando grinned and nodded.
âYes! Of course. If it is really ok with you.?â
***
The next morning, Y/N woke up with Landoâs arm around her waist. It was warm and she couldnât help but notice how different it was to wake up next to him, knowing they didnât fuck last night.
âMorningâ, she mumbled sleepily. âWe have to get up to go to the appointment.â
The man next to her just groaned.
âToo early.â
âNo, sleepyhead. It is already 11 am. Get up.â
Eventually Lando got up and went to the bathroom and only an hour later they were at the doctorâs office.
The doctor was very nice, and Y/N could swear that the nurse recognized Lando but didnât say anything.
âSo, letâs take a look at the babyâ, the doctor said as she poured some gel for the ultrasound on Y/Nâs abdomen. She placed the probe on it and looked at the monitor.
Then she moved the monitor so Y/N and Lando could both look at it. She pointed on a few grey, black and white areas to explain some stuff.
âAnd here we see Baby Aâ, she pointed to another grey blotch. âAnd there we have Baby B. Both perfectly healthy.â
Y/Nâs jaw dropped.
âTwinsâŠ?â
The doctor nodded.
âYes, you two will have twins. Congratulations!â
A/N: yes i did just post that on the wrong acc⊠but here we go sorry it took so long to write this! if you wanna be added or removed from the taglist pls tell me bc i donât know who only wanted to be tagged for this series and who for all the other stuff i will write as well so you will be tagged for everything i will write (sorry i am too chaotic for this world)

Papa
A collection of moments between stay-at-home dad Tommy, and baby girl Ellie Buckley-Kinard.
This will end up being a multi-chapter series like my Uncle Eddie series. Updated randomly, each story can be read separately. This first chapter basically just shows Tommy deciding to leave work. Future chapters will be more about him actually being a stay-at-home parent. Read below or on ao3.
Chapter 1- Three Months
Tommy had been thinking about it since his second day of paternity leave. He was given six weeks, and each day that was marked off the calendar felt like a punch to the gut.
Becoming a parent happened quickly, with little time to adjust. He had been walking into work one morning when he noticed something just to the side of the building.
He walked over to it and found a baby in a reusable, cloth bag. Nothing but a blanket wrapped around her.
He was connected to her in an instant. The second he put her in his arms, he never wanted to put her back down again.
His captain ended up calling for Buck to come, right after theyâd contacted the proper authorities. Apparently, he could tell that this wasnât going to be easy for Tommy. He also knew the two of them were currently working on becoming foster parents.
Somehow, Buck had managed to beat the social worker to the station. Tommy stared up at him with glassy eyes as he rocked the little girl back and forth in a folding chair.
âWeâll do whatever we have to do,â Buck told him, bending down and resting his finger just under the girlâs hand.
Tommy had cried when the social worker took her away. She was a nice lady, who listened to their story, and they swapped numbers to set up an appointment.
They didnât know exactly how old she was. The doctor who looked her over guesstimated her to be a little over two weeks. With no information, no one looking for her, and no one coming up in the system when they checked her DNA, they set her birthdate as August 1st, exactly two weeks before Tommy found her.
It took a few weeks, and many visits where they sat with her, and held her, and fed her, and cried when they had to leave her.
Then, finally, they got to take her home. And paternity leave kicked in. And Tommy never wanted it to end.
Buckâs leave had started first, and he was getting ready the night before his first day back when Tommy decided now was the time. Especially because he only had two more weeks left himself, and he needed to get his paperwork turned in as soon as possible.
Tommy walked into the bedroom feeling like he was nothing but one giant ball of anxiety. He wasnât even sure why. He already knew Buck would be fine with it, but that nagging feeling was still in the back of his mind. It seemed to take up permanent residence there.
âHey, Baby,â he greeted, keeping his voice low. He set the baby monitor on the dresser before walking over to Buck and pressing a kiss against his temple.
âMm,â Buck hummed, a smile on his face. âEllieâs asleep?â
âFinally. First time she didnât scream bloody murder when I laid her in her bed, so⊠progress.â He watched as Buck folded up his hoodie and placed it into his duffel bag. âYou got everything you need?â
Buck nodded. âAll set. Unless you think the two of you could curl up tight enough to fit inside this thing.â
Tommy laughed. âUnfortunately, thereâs not enough yoga stretches in the world that could get me in there.â
âDamn.â
Tommy felt so awkward, standing at the end of the bed, watching. He wrung his hands together. âEllie and I, uh, we could come visit you though, tomorrow. If you guys arenât too busy.â
Buckâs smile widened. âIâd love that. So would everyone else there. You know, I- Iâm beginning to think Ellieâs replaced me as the favorite.â
âHm.â Tommy nodded. âMaybe by a smidge.â
Buck zipped up the duffel and placed it over by the door, then turned back to Tommy. âSo, what were you wanting to talk about?â
âThat obvious?â
Buck shrugged. âI know you.â
âYeah⊠Yeah, you do. Um, can we sit? On the bed?â
âUh-oh.â
âNo, not uh-oh. JustâŠÂ oh.â
âSounds eerily similar to a conversation we had a few years ago.â
Tommy rolled his eyes and sat down on his side of the bed. He patted the empty spot beside him. âNo running this time,â he assured Buck.
Buck smiled, coming around and sitting down next to him. âOkay. Whatâs up?â
âI was- Iâve been thinking, um, over the last few weeks and, I- I think I-â Tommy stopped, sighed. He reached over to the nightstand and pulled out some papers, handing them over to Buck.
Buck stared at them for a moment, eyebrows furrowed. âYou made spreadsheets?â he questioned. Without knowing exactly what they were for, he turned to Tommy and wiggled his eyebrows. âThatâs sexy.â
Tommy laughed, some of his nerves settling a bit.
He took a deep breath. âI want to quit work,â he rushed out quickly.
âYou⊠You what?â
âI want to quit work,â Tommy repeated. âAnd stay home with Ellie.â
âIâŠâ Buck looked back down at the spreadsheets. âSo this is?â
âThis is our finances. Itâs what we usually spend each month. The first one is necessities, bills we have to pay, food we buy, and things like that. The next page shows what we spend on things we donât really need, we just want. I made a page showing what Iâd get from my pension each month, and Iâll have all my benefits with being a veteran. It really wonât change things all that much, or at all. In fact, this last page here-â he reached over, pulling the last page out of the pile. âThis shows what weâd actually be saving by not having Ellie in daycare. I- I know Maddie said sheâd help with watching her, but sheâs not going to be available all the time. And I also know that we said we could switch shifts so one of us was always home with her, but then weâd hardly ever see each other and I donât want that.â
Buck blinked once, twice, eyes focused on the graph in his hand. âYouâve really been thinking about this.â
Tommy nodded. âI have.â
Buck glanced back up at him, a small smile appearing on his face when he saw Tommy anxiously awaiting a response. âYou know I donât care if you leave work, Tommy, as long as itâs what you want to do.â
âYeah, I- I know.â
âThen why are you so nervous?â
He sighed. âBecause Iâm me. I just⊠I wanted to make sure you knew that weâd be okay. You arenât going to have to take all the overtime or anything like that to make up for me not working. With my pension, weâll be fine. And I already give private flight lessons sometimes, so I was thinking I could do that a couple days a week- when youâre off. I can make my own schedule then, and Iâd only be gone for a few hours at a time. We'd be able to spend more time together, and Ellie would have to-"
âTommy,â Buck interrupted, placing a hand just below his thigh and giving it a squeeze. âBreathe.â
Tommy stopped, breathing in deeply and letting it out slow. âSorry.â
âYou donât need to be sorry, and you donât need to explain yourself. Weâll manage just fine. If this is what you want, Iâm all for it.â
âReally?â
âReally. And if you end up changing your mind, then thatâs fine too. Whatever you want to do, Iâm here.â Buck set the paperwork to the side. He stood, smirking as he straddled himself over Tommy's lap. He leaned forward, giving Tommy a kiss. âI- I mean, Iâd rather you not decide you want to live a life of solitude and abstinence and move into the attic, butâŠâ
Tommy snapped his fingers, glancing back and forth from Buckâs eyes to his lips. âThat was next on my list, actually.â
âMmm,â Buck brought a hand to his neck, pulling him in again. âThink you can hold off on that for like fifteen, twenty minutes?â
âDid this conversation actually make you horny?â Tommy asked as Buck continued to move over him, pressing him down into the bed.
Buck grinned, pulling his shirt off and tossing it to the side. âYou made spreadsheets.â
*****
âEllie Jelly, you ready to go see Daddy?â Tommy asked, unbuckling Ellie from her carseat. She squirmed as he picked her up, smiling when he groaned as he hoisted her up in his arms. âOh, you think thatâs funny?â he asked, his own face scrunched up in a smile. âYouâre so heavy Papa canât even hardly lift you. All twelve and a half pounds of you. Papa can throw away all his weight and just start lifting you instead.â
Tommy grabbed the diaper bag out of the back of the truck and slung it over his free shoulder. Then he closed the door and headed into the station.
âBaby!â Chimney yelled before Tommy had fully made it through the doors. He stopped what he was doing, cleaning the top of the rig, and started making his way down. âCap! Baby!â
It took two seconds for Hen to peer over the banister. âBaby!â she exclaimed, hurrying to descend the staircase.
Tommy turned Ellie so she was facing the others. âSay hi to Uncle Howie and Aunt Hen, Ellie,â he said, straightening out her headband. She wiggled, her arms flailing around in front of her. âThatâs how she says hello.â
âHi, Ellie. Hello, Baby!â Chimney reached out his finger just as Hen got to them. âNo touching, Chim,â she scolded. âYouâre hands are all dirty from cleaning.â
He held up his hands in surrender. âYes, Cap.â
âMy hands, however,â she said, smiling deviously at Tommy, âare fresh and clean. May I?â
âOf course, Hen.â He handed Ellie over, and she stared up at Hen, her mouth opening up into a little âoâ shape.
âOh, arenât you just the cutest?â Hen smiled down at her. âAnd sheâs wearing the onesie I got her!â
Chim rolled his eyes. âSomeoneâs sucking up to the Captain.â
âMhm,â Hen replied. âAnd itâs working.â She focused on Ellie again. âYes, it is. Itâs working. Your daddyâs gonna get a nice big bonus this Christmas.â
âHey!â Chimney protested.
âSpeaking of daddy,â Tommy said, interrupting the bickering that was about to begin. âWhere is-â
âMy baby!â Buckâs voice echoed through the station as he came walking out from one of the back rooms. âWhy did no one tell me my baby was here?â
âBecause he just got here,â Chimney replied with a grin. âEllieâs here too, by the way.â
Buck shot him a glare as he got closer. âHa. Ha.â He turned to Ellie, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. âHi, baby girl.â Then he smiled at Tommy, grabbing at his shirt and pulling him in for a kiss. âAnd hello, big boy.â
âOkay, no,â Hen said, twisting around so Ellie couldnât see. âWeâre not doing that here.â
Buck laughed as Tommy smiled shyly. âI donât think sheâll remember, Hen.â
âBut we will,â Chimney replied. âAnd I havenât eaten lunch yet, so please stop now.â
âOkay, okay.â Buck held out his hands towards Hen. âBaby, please.â
Hen sighed. âFine,â she replied, handing her over, âbut only because sheâs yours.â
âThank you.â
âI gotta get back to my paperwork, but donât leave without saying goodbye, Tommy.â
âJust me?â he asked, eyebrows raised. âOr should I bring Ellie with me?â
âIf sheâs not with you that big bonus I mentioned is-â she finished by clicking her tongue while running a hand across her throat.
âUnderstood.â
âBonus?â Buck questioned.
Tommy shook his head. âItâs nothing.â
âI gotta get back too,â Chimney said. âBut Iâll see you at dinner tomorrow, Ellie.â He gave her a wave before walking away, making sure not to touch her with his unwashed hands.
âI think they forget we exist when sheâs around,â Tommy noted.
âCan you blame them?â
âNope.â
Buck looked down at Ellie, quiet and cozy in his arms. âYou wanna go see Grandpa Bobby, Ellie? Letâs go see him.â
Tommy placed a hand at the base of Buckâs back as they walked over to the far wall. A picture of Bobby in his uniform was at the center, with his awards, medals, and a plaque all around it. Above it was his turnout jacket, framed to show NASH on the back.
âThere he is,â Buck said, propping Ellie up slightly in his arm. âThereâs Grandpa. Heâd love you so much, Ellie. Yeah. Weâll go visit him soon, okay?â
âWe could go this weekend,â Tommy suggested. âGet flowers, take a couple pictures of Ellie to leave there for him.â
Bucks face lit up. âIâd love that.â
They stood there silently for a moment, Ellie still cradled in Buckâs arms. Tommy reached over and, almost immediately, she grabbed onto his finger with a tight grip, then started to drift off.
âHowâs day one of being a stay-at-home dad?â Buck asked.
Tommy smiled. âWell, she spit up on me this morning right after I got dressed and it went all down my back. Then about thirty minutes later, after Iâd gotten her dressed to come here, she had an explosion that was wild. I took pictures, by the way. So weâre both in our second outfit options for the day.â
âI gotta say,â Buck replied, nudging Tommyâs shoulder with his own, âfor a man who got puked and pooped on, you sure look happy.â
Tommy stared down at Ellie, eyes closed but hand still gripping Tommyâs finger as tight as she could while Buck held her. âItâs the best decision Iâve ever made.â

The next time the group gets together itâs well into the fall.Â
Months of distance and busy schedules kept the friends separate. Yet, on a random weekend in October, the stars aligned to grant the friends a day of freedom to meet and catch up.
He wonât admit it aloudâthatâs a bit too corny for himâbut Ajani missed his people. The life of a working adult only gives but so much time for social gatherings. Especially with a whole friend-group.
Even then, itâs not like he hasnât seen any of them since the party.
âIâon understand why you couldnât just ride with me.â
âAll my stuff is at my momâs, âJani.â
If he just closes his eyes, he can see the pout on her face. He glances at the screen, eyeing the contact name: Princxss Dia.
âReally? âCause I almost tripped over your flat iron when I was getting in the shower.â
She groans out loud into the mic. âI knew I left it!â
He smiles, eyes now on the road as he makes a swift turn onto a busy street.Â
âFuck,â he mumbles upon seeing the traffic.
âBut if I came with you ⊠then theyâd know.â
He kisses his teeth, face screwing up. âMan, I care less and less âbout that shit every day. Iâm pretty sure they knowââ
ââPretty sureâ is not a confirmation. And I wanna make sure the time is right when we tell them.â
He spots a parking space in front of the restaurant Boku had chosen for the night. No doubt, heâs going to snatch that shit up.
âWhy shit gotta be âperfect?ââ he asks, looking at his rear view camera as he backs into the space.
âI donât know,â she mumbles. He can hear her moving around on the other side of the line. âIâm trying to ⊠figure out a way to introduce it without ⊠making everything weird,â she sighs out.
âHow âbout, âhey guys, me and Ajani have been dating for a few months now,ââ he mocks her voice.
âNo.â
He sucks his teeth. âWhy not?â
âThatâs too blunt!â
âExactly. What more is there to say? You wanna tell them the whole backstory? âCause Iâon really think they need to know that.â
âIâm not saying they do. I just think we need to ⊠soften the approach.â
He puts his car in park before shutting it off, the engine dying down. âIâon know ⊠what approach you talking âbout, but when you ready to stop hiding, you lemme know so I could book my appointment.â
âAppointment?â
âOh, I didnât tell you? I wanted to get your name tatted on my forehead.â
â ⊠Shut up.â
He laughs quietly to himself as he pulls down his sun visor. âYou almost ready,â he asks, checking his appearance in the mirror.
Itâs quiet for a couple of seconds. âNo.â
His smile drops and he kisses his teeth. A second passes as he glares at the phone. Then, he picks it up. âYo, answer my FaceTime.â
The mode of the call switches, bringing both of them into view on eitherâs screen. He licks his lips, getting a clear view of her pretty face as her phone is propped up against her vanity.
âWhy you only got your makeup done?â
She frowns, setting powder decorating her face. âBecause I did my hair first. Itâs hair, makeup, then clothes.â
He only releases a sigh, unable to even be really upset.
âAight, then hurry up. I told you we gonna have to work on that late shit.â
She smiles, reaching for a brush to dust off the powder. âSorry, baby.â
He hums, eyeing her as he holds his phone closely. âYou look good.â
She exchanges her brush for a lip pencil. âThank you.â She tries not to smile too hard, careful not to mess up as she applies her liner.
âWhat you wearing?â
She blends out the harsh line of her dark brown liner with a finger. âA dress.â
He waits for her to explain further, but the explanation doesnât come. âThatâs it?â
âMhm.â She quickly glances at the screen, looking away before she cracks a smile.
âCan I see it?â
âNope.â
Now sheâs smiling, a devious little one, too.
âYeah, okay,â he scoffs. âYou just make sure itâs no crazy ass shit. You know how Big Daddy gets.â
Her head jerks back as she looks at the screen, flabbergasted. âDonât ever in your life ⊠call yourself that again.â
âYou just make sure you know,â he pushes before breaking into a smile, almost laughing. âBut nah, forreal. That ass ainât been getting smaller so ⊠keep it cute.â
She rolls her eyes with pursed lips. âShut up.â
He scoffs, looking out the window of his car. âYeah ⊠you think Iâm joking.â He scoffs.
âAre you?â
He looks back at her, noting her nonchalance as she applies gloss over her lip combo.
âPlay with me if you want to.â He licks his lips. His gaze falls to the exposed middle of her chest as her robe has slipped open. âIâon need niggas eyeing my shit.â
âOkay, Ajani.â
âNah, itâs not Ajani,â he mocks her voice, earning a glare. âThatâs Big Daddy to youââ
âIâm hanging up!â
She reaches forward, snatching up her phone.
âDonât you wear nothing crazy!â
âBye!â
The call ends abruptly, leaving him to shake his head. Not too long after pocketing his phone, he leaves the car.Â
The only thing thatâs on his mind being her.
Just before he enters the restaurant, he shoots her one last text.
Jani: lmk when u ready Ima call a uber
His face almost splits in half with how hard he smiles as he daps up his boys.
âFinally, nigga! We expected your ass to be here sooner,â Boku tells him.
âChill, it was mad traffic,â he laughs.Â
âNah, facts. Itâs mad people out tonight,â Mykel says.
The three are huddled close in the waiting area of the restaurant. All of the constant shifting to make way for entering and leaving patrons has pushed them to the corner.
âForreal. Yo, why you pick this place?â Ajani looks to Boku. âI seen this shit blow up on TikTok.â
âNigga, thatâs where I got it from.â
All three dissolve into boisterous laughter, because Boku would be the one to make such a mistake.
Mykel shakes his head. âIâm already knowing the food and service âbout to be ass.â
âNah, facts,â Ajani agrees.
âAight, now. Not too much,â Boku chimes in. ââLong as the drinks good, I could give less of a fuck about what they onion rings taste like.â
He and Mykel break off into a mini side conversation of their own, a usual occurrence between all three of them.
As they do so, Ajani pulls out his phone to check his notifications. Even though he doesnât see one, he constantly refreshes the screen for a possible hidden text message that he just happened to miss.
None.
ââJani, you know where the girls at?â
Hesitantly, he looks up at the guys. âNah,â he shakes his head, face blank. âWhy would I know?â He makes a face.
âIâon know,â Mykel looks off to the side. âI thought DiamantĂ© wouldâa told you something.â
âWhy it gotta be Dia?â
âNigga, donât act dumb,â Boku butts in. ââCause yâall be talking.â
âI talk to Aleya and Sevyn, too.â When he laughsâthe loud music masking its awkward toneâhis eyes shift between his friends.Â
âNot like you talk to Dia,â he scoffs. âThatâs for damn sure.â
Sucking his teeth, Ajani wear a mask of confusion. âNigga, shut up. You still on that shitââ
ââCause I know your ass still likes her!â
âYo, Iâm not even gonna lie,â Mykel starts. âIâma have to side with Boâ on this one. You might as well tell her at this point.â
His face contorts with annoyance.Â
Nigga, shut up.
âThatâs if he not already fucking her,â Boku laughs.
His brows pull together at Bokuâs brash statement. âYo, what?âÂ
Mykel rolls his lips inward, watching the two with caution. He questions, should he step in between this?
âNah, Iâm just saying! Youâon gotta be embarrassedââ
âI ainât embarrassed, nigga. Thereâs not shit to say, fuck Iâma be embarrassed for?â
Boku laughs, glancing at Mykel for backup. The other man remains quiet.
âAight, then stand on it! Just say you fuckinâ herââ
Ajani doesnât even realize that he takes a step forward. âYo, shut the fuck up talking âbout her like thatââ
âAlright, chill out now.â Mykel steps between them, placing a hand in front of Ajani to keep him back.Â
Boku pulls his brows together. âYo, wassup with you?â
âAinât shit up with nothing, you just make sure you keep shit respectful.â The scowl on his lips only deepens.
Boku raises his hands in defense. âMy fault, bro. I wasnât tryna offendââ
âYeah, thatâs âcause you just open your mouth to say bullshit.â Ajani backs up the more Mykel pushes against him. âLike she not your fuckinâ friend, too, my nigga. What?â
âYou good, bro. You good,â Mykel tells him. âRelax.â
âJust fuckinâ talkinâ,â he rambles.
Before he can acknowledge the apology, his phone buzzes in his hand. Fully stepping away from them, Ajani checks his messages.
Princxss Dia: Iâm ready
He wastes no time to order DiamantĂ©âs Uber ride.Â
With the distance between them and the Lou music playing overhead, itâs hard for him to hear. He knows Mykel and Boku are talking about him.
He refrains from even thinking much about it, though. Because just talking to Diamanté is putting him in a better mood.

Thankfully, Aleya and Sevyn arrive not too long after. Their presences lighten the atmosphere considerably.Â
Especially when Sevyn and Boku fall into conversationâa playful argument as usual about some dumb shit.
âOh my God, I miss Diaâ,â Aleya pouts. âWhere is she?â She does a full-body turn, looking to Ajani.
Boku keeps quiet this time.
The question garners attention from the others within the group, who are now curious of his answer.
He kisses his teeth. âWhy yall not asking her? Damn, what the fuck?â
Sevynâs face screws up as her neck jerks back. âNigga, calm the fuck down.â
âRight,â Aleya eyes him as her lips twist into an ugly scowl. âI just thought youâd know since yâall seem to be close.â
Sevyn hums in agreement. âReal close.â
Now, heâs making a face. âWhat that meaââ
âHi guys!â
The much softer voice breaks the conversation, catching everyoneâs attention.Â
Walking towards them, DiamantĂ©âs bright smile lights up the dimly lit space.Â
Her straightened, black hair flows down her back. Being pulled back, it leaves her entire outfit exposed: a simple black Skims dress, flowing to her ankles.
The classy, white Hermes slides on her feet show off her white French toes. A small white crossbody purse ties the dress with the shoes.
Yeah, sheâs cute and allâAjani would never deny her that. But even underneath the restaurantâs dim, multicolored lighting, he can see every detail of her body âhidingâ beneath the thin, ribbed fabric.
Down to her fucking belly piercing.
His eyes flick up to look into hers. Heâs staring hard.
âFinally!â Aleya screams.
She runs to meet the short woman halfway, throwing her arms around her. Sevyn is right behind her, doing the same.
The women hug each other and their bodies sway like palm trees in the wind. Ajaniâs happy for themâDiamantĂ©, at least. Itâs been so long since sheâs seen them.
However, the happiness is short lived.
Others seem to be enjoying the womenâs show happiness, too. Ajani looks over them, catching a small group of guys watching them.
What hint of a smile that was on his face shrinks immediately.
âI missed you guys,â Dia tells them as she pulls back, covering her mouth.
âWe need to go out more,â Sevyn says. ââCause not seeing each other for this long is fucking ridiculous.â
âI know,â she pouts.
âGirl, you look so fucking goodââ A sharp gasp slices through Aleyaâs sentence. She reaches out to grab Diaâs arm, pulling her forward to peer down her back. âGirl, your ass!â
Looking too, Sevynâs mouth drops in shock. âDamn, bitch!âÂ
Diamanté only laughs as she looks between her friends.
âIt looks so fucking big,â Aleya says in awe. She looks over at Sevyn. âNo, like deadass. Like it looks bigger.â
âHow she get more ass and mine getting flatter?â Sevyn jokes.
âDrop the routine!â Aleya reaches behind DiamantĂ©, grabbing a good handful of her ass. She sticks out her tongue.
Diamanté only laughs harder.
âFuck a routine,â Sevyn declares. âWho you been fucking?â The interrogative expression on her face is intense.
âOh my God,â she says, hand over her mouth as her smile only grows.
âItâs so heavy,â Aleya says in amazement, using both hands to lift her ass. Squeezing tightly, the dimpled skin can be seen through the fabric. âI canât even hold it all, what the fuck!â
As the girls continue to laugh, Ajani only continues to watch the leering men.Â
It takes everything in him not to go towards the women and tell them to stop.
Playfully, DiamantĂ© rolls her eyes. âYou guys are chatting.â
âNo, girl. Your shit is mad fat, like what the fuck?â
âOkay, okay,â DiamantĂ© says. âCan we sit now?â
Sevyn purses her lips, eyeing her friend. âMhm. Look at you, you just so tea. Like you come up in here glowing, ass fatter, face card on 10, inchesâyou just showing out tonight!â
âFacts,â Aleya agrees.
Finally, they return to the other half of the group. Diamanté breaks away from her girls to greet the guys.
âWassup, Dia,â Mykel gives her a side hug.
âHey,â she sings.
She pulls away to give Boku the same embrace.
âHey, Dia.â
âHi, Boku,â she smiles.
Boku and Ajani make eye contact for a split second. Quickly, Boku looks away just before pulling back.
Ajani doesnât get the chance to really mug that nigga how he wants to as DiamantĂ© makes her way over to him.
âHiii,â her voice is much softer.
Sheâs trying to fight back a smile, he can tell. But, itâs too cute as her teeth slowly come into full display.
The corners of his mouth lift uncontrollably. âHey.â
Wordlessly, she steps into his embrace, resting her head on his chest. His arms circle around her waist, pulling her body closer.
âWhy you ainât text me when you got here?âÂ
His chest vibrates with each word. She can even hear the smile in his voice.
âI forgot.â
âWouldâa came out and got you.â
She pulls away with a laugh, careful to keep their interaction brief enough so that they donât get their friends started.
âDamn, Ajani. She wasnât going nowhere.â
Clearly, that didnât work.
His smile drops as his eyes flit over to Aleya, who wears a smug grin on her lips.
âAight, now that all yâall niggas is here, Iâma see if we could check in for the table,â Boku announces.
He parts from the group to make his way to the hostessâ booth.
Conversation between the remaining five is quite mellow. Ajani finds himself standing back, only admiring Diamanté as she speaks.
Even when sheâs quiet, heâs paying close attention to her body language and the way she reacts to things said.
âLetâs go,â Boku says as he rejoins the group.
âThank you, God,â Aleya praises.
âFacts, these heels are killing my feet,â Sevyn complains as she starts after Boku.
As everyone else follows, heading towards the table, Ajani stays behind. Before Diamanté can catch up, he grabs ahold of her hand, stopping her in her tracks.
âHolâon, âcause I didnât get a proper âhello.ââ
He pulls her body back in close, missing the feel of her against him. He almost sighs when her soft body presses against his.
Diamanté allows herself to smile as big as she wants to. She angles her head up for a kiss. The gentleman he is, Ajani meets her halfway and presses his lips against hers.
A small peck isnât enough, as he finds himself going back in for a couple more. And as he does so, he doesnât resist the urge to reach behind her and cop a feel of her ass himself.
His lips plant mini smooches from her cheek all the way down to her neck. She turns her head to the side, giving him more access.
âYou look mad good,â he says into her skin.
His muffled voice tickles her skin, pulling a bubbly giggle out of her. âYou told me that already.â
âAight, and Iâm telling you again.â Ajani pulls back just far enough to look her in the eyes.Â
Damn, he really meant that shit. Itâs almost unbelievable how bad she is. Sometimes he wonders how the fuck he was able to bag her.
âBut I also told you not to come outside wearing no shit like thisââ
She squeals as he lays a harsh smack to her ass, gripping the fat immediately after.
âAjani!â She whisper-shouts, eyes wide with shock.
He only bites down on his bottom lip, eyes flitting past her to see the group of men from earlier still in the same spots.Â
Except this time, theyâre glaring.Â
âTold you I ainât want you showing off my shit like this.â
His other hand cradles her neck, squeezing just enough as he plants another smooch on her lips.
When he pulls back, he sees the inkling of a dazed look in her low eyes. Even from behind those big ass glasses.
âOkay,â she whines softly.
âMmh.â
She begins to laugh, because she can definitely feel herself slipping into a mood.
âCâmon, before I fuck ya lilâ ass up out here.â His hands fall from her. âGot niggas looking at you all crazy.â
He holds his hand out for her to take. When she does, they make their way over to the table.Â
However, before they get close enough, they place some distance between themselves.
Conversation at the table is all smiles and laughter over their platters and drinks.
Speaking of drinks, no one at the table is too good to pass up a bit of alcohol. Not even those who drove here.
âSee this? This right here?â Sevyn taps an acrylic nail to the glass of her fruity drink. âIâma need me some moreâa that!â
âMhm,â Aleya hums, sipping on hers through the straw.
Liquor seems to bring the conversation out of the friends. But, Ajani refrains from specifically addressing Boku. And Diamanté finds herself becoming more and more quiet.
Even with her besties around her, she canât seem to make herself speak. What can she say, when all of her thoughts are filled with Ajani? Definitely not anything that should be said out-loud.Â
At the very least, on a FaceTime call with just the girls.
Hiding behind her lemon drop, she watches him from across the table with low eyes. Every time he smiles, he does so just enough to give a peek at his grillz.Â
Fuck, he looks so good. He smells even better. And the way he was choking her up out there, smacking her assâ
No lie, it made her wet. Her clit was thumping for sure. The liquor isnât helping as itâs bringing up memories.
Like how just a couple of nights ago, she was staying over at his apartment. It was a time.Â
Two shots of Don was all it took for her to end up on her tummy, getting dicked down.
He fucked her stupid that night. She almost wished she wasnât on birth control. But that was just the liquor talking.
Her eyes flutter close as her thighs squeeze together. She has to take a deep breath.
âAnd Diaâs ass is already off the shits!â
A chorus of laughter sounds throughout the table, knocking her from her thoughts. As she looks around her, she offers a shy smile.
âYâall some damn lightweights,â Sevyn continues to joke.
âI ainâtâlookâI ainât no fuckinâ lightweight,â Boku shouts, holding his glass up.
âMaaan,â Mykel gives him a look. âYou better slow down, nigga.â
More laughter sounds. With the spotlight off of her, DiamantĂ©âs thoughts circle back to Ajani.
And speaking of, he takes a sip of his alcohol to hide his smirk. Heâs not oblivious, he could feel her staring this whole time.
Of course, it flatters him. If itâs one thing about DiamantĂ©, itâs that she gets freaky off the liquor. And he can tell whatâs running through her mind.
Because heâs thinking about the same thing. Heâs just got to hold out for the rest of the night.
Leave it up to Boku to plan some weird ass shit. Who the fuck goes bowling after dinner and drinks?
Shit, at least the place serves drinks. And if Ajani was fucking with him right now, heâd commend him for at least picking a good spot.
The alley is surprisingly busy around this time, for it being almost eleven pm. Itâs mostly dark in here, just like the damn restaurant.
Why doesnât Boku ever pick places with good lighting?
âOn my soul, Iâm washing yâall niggas,â Aleya swears. She shoves a foot into the rented pair of shoes.
Mykel shakes his head, strapping up his pair. âHere she go.â
âOh shit ⊠I donât got not socks, yâall.â The usual rasp in Sevynâs voice is worse due to the drinks.
âMe neither,â DiamantĂ© says, flipping her hair over her shoulder as she fans herself.
Not only is she just a bit horny, but sheâs fucking hot. The only downside to drinking. She only hopes she doesnât sweat her silk press out.
âThereâs a booth that sells them,â Boku says.
âHonestly, I donât think Iâma play. Iâll just watch yâall,â she smiles.
âUgh! Boringgg,â Aleya groans, throwing her head back.
Sevyn looks to DiamantĂ©. âOkay, well, you could come with me while I buy my socks?â
She nods, prompting her to stand up.Â
âCanât wait to wear them shoes. Fuck these heels, bro.â Sevyn holds on to her shoulder for support.
âAye, if yâall get lost, call oneâa us,â Ajani says. âItâs too many people in here tonight.â
âSure thing, officer!â Sevyn scoffs.
Ajani gives her a scowl, and Dia gives him a short wave before the two of them are off.
âDamn, thatâs a long ass line!â Sevyn scowls seeing the bodies fill the area.
âOh my gosh,â DiamantĂ© frowns.
âI do not wanna be standing on these fucking heels any longer!â
Kissing her teeth, she reluctantly joins the line, Dia in tow. As they wait, both women are scrolling through their phones trying to pass the time.
But it doesnât take long for them to get to talking.
âIf I ask you this question, you gonna be honest?â
DiamantĂ© peers up from her screen to look at Sevyn. Her brows pull together in question. âYeah?â
Sevyn eyes her for a moment. âYou and Ajani fucking? Likeâand be honest. Donât lie to me girl, I hate that shit.â
A sigh leaves DiamantĂ©. Clicking her phone off, she fully looks her friend in the eyes. âYeahââ
âI knew it! I fucking knew iiit!â Sevyn jumps up and down on her supposedly aching feet. âFuck! Since when?â
Trying to keep herself from smiling, she stays quiet.
A gasp. âIt was after the party, wasnât it?â
She nods, her smile growing.
They move up in the line.
âBitch! I fuckingânah, âcause I checked your fucking loâ and your ass was still there after we all left. Uh-uh, yâall so damn nasty.â
âOkay,â she rolls her eyes. âDonât say anything about it. Iâm still trying to ⊠figure out a way to tell the others.â She frowns to herself.
Sevyn makes a face. âGirl, what you mean? Just drop the tea,â she laughs. âShit, you could do it in the fucking chat. Matter fact, I donât even think niggas really give a fuck. We all grown, Diaâ. And itâs not like we all didnât see it comingâŠâ
âShut up.â She rolls her eyes. âBut, I just wanna tell âLeya at least, before I really ⊠break the news.â
âAight, I feel you.â Sevyn looks her over before breaking out into a dirty smile. âSo he the reason your ass been getting fatter.â
âOh my gosh.â She looks away from her, shaking her head.
âThatâs fucking crazy. Who the fuck knew he was putting it down like that?â
Just before she can respond, her phone lights up with a message.
Jani: wya
U got lost ?
âSpeakâa the fucking devil,â Sevyn says over her shoulder, spotting the message.
âHush,â Dia laughs, typingout her response.Â
âI like how he ainât even ask about me. So itâs just fuck me, then.â
âWhat if the âyâ means yâall?â
Sevyn rolls her eyes before her face settles. âBut, at least heâs crazy about you. Thatâs all I want for you.â
DiamantĂ© looks up at her friend with a soft smile. âThank you.â
âMhm. I seen yâall at the restaurant.â
Her smile drops and her eyes widen just a bit. âSevyn.â
âWhat?â
âIf you saw why did you ask?â
She smirks. âI just wanted to see if you would lie.â
The shorter woman groans out.
âYeah, ya lilâ ass is mad freaky, eewww.â She laughs obnoxiously. âNever thought Iâd see you get choked up like that. Or him smacking ya shitââ
âStop, please!â She hides her face in her hands.
âOh, I just know he told you not to wear that shit,â she cackles. âYou in trouble,â she sings. âThat nigga had that crazy look in his eyes. Especially when he seen them niggas staring in the restaurant.â
âAre you serious?â
âMhm,â she nods with crossed arms. âYou just make sure you stay on his good side. Before I become an aunty too soon.â
DiamantĂ© shoves her shoulder. âDonât wish that on me.â
âOh, bitch, Iâm actually wishing that shit and more. You know I always wanted a little niece or nephewâeven if âJaniâs annoying ass is the father.â She rolls her eyes.
âI rebuke kids,â she laughs. âHell no.â
âYeah, okay. If you say that, you better not tell me that yâall be fucking raw.â
DiamantĂ© doesnât say anything to that.
When the game commences, DiamantĂ© is the only one to sit it out. And sheâs having just as good a time as any.
Mykel had ordered wings for the groupâlemon pepper and garlic Parmesan. Drinks, too, of course.
She nibbles on a couple of wings, courtesy of Ajani feeding them to her.
Heâs had his fair share of extra drinks. And with each sip, heâs caring less and less about hiding shit from their friends.
Speaking of drinks, Diaâs been washing her food down with sips of water and gulps of fruity, alcoholic drinks. And she really shouldâve stopped herself.Â
Because now sheâs got to go to the bathroom.
âNah, I dead gotta go, too,â Sevyn says.
âIâma come with yâall.â Aleya gets on her feet.
âDamn, yâall just gonna pause the game like that?â Mykel says, biting into a wing.
âWeâll be back!â Aleya declares.
The women make their way over to the bathrooms, whichâunsurprisinglyâhas a line.
âFuuuck! All these fucking lines!â Sevyn groans, stomping her foot.
âI know,â Dia says, shifting in her spot as she holds her lower stomach. âI gotta go ⊠so bad,â she huffs.
âI bet you the menâs bathroom not even full like that.â
Sevyn scoffs. âIâm not going to no niggasâ bathroom at a bowling alley. âBouta smell like funky dick and straight piss in there.â
Dia laughs.
âBut, shit, since we hereâŠâ Sevyn turns to her. âTell her.â
Aleya looks to DiamantĂ©.Â
âOh, um ⊠Ajani and Iââ
âI fucking knew it!â
Sevyn throws her head back in laughter.Â
âYâall could not hide that shit!â Her eyes are wide as she points back at their lane. âWhen I seen that nigga feeding you them wings, it was certified!â
âBitch, you donât even wanna know what I saw,â Sevyn says, clinging to her.
As she and Diamanté catch her up on everything, they inch closer to the bathroom door.
DiamantĂ© tells them about the most recent date theyâd been on together. And while itâs an interesting story, Sevyn canât help but to feel eyes on them.
She turns her head, to see a group of men looking their way. They make eye contact, as it appears that theyâre pushing their friend to make a move.
âOh fuck no.â
Aleya and Diamanté look at her.
âYâall, is that them niggas from the restaurant?â
They look over at the men, one of them immediately making eye contact with Dia.
âPlease donât tell me they about to come over here,â Aleya scowls. âUgh, I hate niggas!â
She says it loud enough for them to hear. And yet, one of them is still making their way over.
Sevyn kisses her teeth. âBruh.â
The guy making his way over has his eyes dead set on Diamanté. His long locs are pulled back into barrel twists and a mature beard sits on the lower half of his face.
His dangling cross earring makes Sevyn scoff. âThis corny ass nigga,â she mumbles.
âWassup,â he greets, only looking at DiamantĂ©.
Rude, she thinks. Her nose wrinkles as the smell of weed fills the space.
âHello to you, too,â Aleya sasses.
âMy bad,â he laughs. âI just wanted to come talk to you,â he nods over at Dia.Â
âOkay,â she says quietly.
âYou fine as shit, Iâm not even gonna cap,â he smiles, showing a gold canine tooth. âNot on no creep-shit, but I seen you at The Palacades and,â he shrugs. âDonât hurt to try, right?â
âProceeds to be on some creep-shit,â Sevyn says.
âRight,â Aleya agrees.
The two share a laugh, causing the man to glance at them. He doesnât let that deter him, though.
âYou ⊠saw me there?â DiamantĂ© asks, her face creasing with confusion.Â
âYeah you and that guy.â
Now itâs Aleyaâs turn to make a face.
âHolâup,â Sevyn laughs, shaking her head.Â
âYâknow, I just wanted to shoot my shot. Like, you never know. Yâall might not even be seriousââ
âWell, they are. And youâre mad weird for asking.â She twists her face up. âWhat the fuck? Nigga is you cool?â
âHold on,â he says, turning to Sevyn. âI donât remember asking about you. So, I donât know why you tryna get involved.â Heâs getting visibly irritated.
âShe donât have to,â Aleya steps in. âIf you seen my friend with her nigga, why are you harassing her?â
Worry makes itself evident on Diaâs face. Sheâs not sure where this conversation is going to go. And she definitely forgot her pepper gel at home.
ââCause that corny ass move that nigga tried to do wasnât shit,â he laughs. âHe think smacking ya ass was gonna scare somebody off? I donât give a fuck about that shit,â he laughs.Â
âOkay, noââ DiamantĂ© starts, but Sevyn is too quick to come to her defense.
âGet the fuck outta here, you weirdo ass nigga. She donât want you!â
âShe said that, though?â
âShe ainât say she wanted you neither,â Aleya says.
âMan, yâall bitches kill me.â
âBitches?â They all say in unison.
âYeah. Itâs always the ugly ones talking the most shitââ
âNigga you look like a fucking dog in the face yourself!â Aleya gets to pointing.
And as their voices climb, both sides growing more aggressive, Diamanté finds herself paralyzed with fear.
She is not sober enough for this.
Back at the lane, the guys keep themselves busy. Mykel cheats, taking the girlâs turns for themâand throwing horrendous gutter balls.
Meanwhile, Boku and Ajani are seated, munching on the leftover wings. Well, Ajani doesnât eat as much as Boku, but heâs got a couple of bites in.
Neither of them address the other. And itâs ⊠annoying.Â
Although Ajani is still upset about what was said, it sucks that this is how their first time hanging out in a minute has to be like this.
But heâs not a pussy. And heâs damn sure not speaking first.Â
A nudge to his shoulder brings him out of his phone. He looks up, seeing Boku stare at him.
âYo, Iâm sorry âbout earlier, bro. I shouldâve never said that shit. I just be talking sometimes, you know that. And I be saying the wrong shit.â
âMmh.â
âAnd Diaâs my friend. Itâs not rightâa me to be disrespecting her like that. If you want, shit, Iâll even apologize to her, too.â
Ajani watches him for a moment.
Their silence is broken by a shout from Mykel in the distance, cheering as he scores a strike.
âNah ⊠you ainât gotta do that,â he finally says. âI respect the apology. But watch your mouth âbout her.â
Boku nods in understanding.
Silence falls over them again as the sounds of the alley machines, the music, people talking, and the arcade games fill the space.
Ajani almost feels himself dissociating again as his tipsy brain thinks. And one thing about him, is that his mouth runs.
Swallowing, he looks away from his friend. âNah ⊠you was right, though.â
Boku wears a questioning look on his face. âWhat you mean?â
It takes a second before Ajani finally looks at him. âWe fucking with each other.â
He tries to conceal his excitement. But, he just canât stop himself from dapping him up.Â
âMy niggaâuh, no disrespect, though.â
Ajani shakes his head, a ghost of a smile on his lips.
âYâall better come play before I do your turns!â
âNigga, fuck the game! Come over here, Jay got something to say!â
Reluctantly placing the ball back onto the rack, Mykel heads over to them.
âWhat you got to say?â He takes the last garlic Parmesan wing, earning a glare from Boku.
âGuess,â Boku says.
Mykel turns to Ajani, eyeing him. âYou and Dia?â
He nods, earning another smile from their standing friend. âThatâs what Iâm talking âbout,â he laughs. âYou asked her?â
âYeah,â Ajani says, keeping it short. But his smile says everything, as he reminisces on that night.
âWhen yâall got together?â Boku asks.
He kisses his teeth, feeling the liquor in his system. âUh ⊠at the party.â
Both men stare at him with wide eyes.Â
âNiggaâthatâs almost six months!â Boku shouts.
âItâs no way yâall hid that shit for that long,â Mykel laughs.
âWasnât my idea,â Ajani says. âShe over here, scared to say shit. But meâIâon give a fuck.â He scoffs. âIâa get her shit tatted, she keep fuckinâ with me,â he shakes his head, toying with the ends of a braid.
Boku and Mykel share a look, and a thoughtâthis nigga is drunk.
Before either of them could voice it, however, Sevynâs raspy ass voice enters their ears.
âYâall hear that shit?â Mykel asks, twisting and turning to find the source of the voice.
âWhy the fuck she yelling?â Boku asks, looking for her, too.
âHow they still not back from the bathroom?â
Itâs Ajani that spots her firstâin a niggaâs face.
âYo,â he says, sitting up, more alert than ever.
The guys notice, too. And it doesnât take long for Ajani to get out of his seat. Heâs the first to make it over there. And immediately heâs hit with the smell of weed.
âWhatâs going on?â
He immediately looks to Diamanté, who has discomfort written all over her face.
âHell no, come get this nigga,â Aleya shout, pointing at the man.
Ajani watches him back up an inch as he raises his hands in defense. As he stares at the guy, he finds him just a tad bit familiar.
âWhatâs the issue?â
âItâs no issue, broââ
âClearly, it is!â Sevyn cuts in. ââCause you was throwing that âbitchâ word around a lotââ
âLook, I was just tryna get at your friend,â he says, pointing to DiamantĂ©.
Ajaniâs brows furrow as he looks between her and the guy.
âShe donât want you,â Aleya screams.
Then it clicks; This guy was apart of that group that caught themselves staring Diamanté down.
âGo back to your fuckinâ group,â Ajani says. âYou a fuckinâ cornball,â he spits.
âBum ass niggaâand he stink!â Aleya points at him.
âMan, get the fuck outta here, she donât need no other nigga.âÂ
Ajani steps forward as he speaks, the other man stepping back.
âAight, my faultââ
âIt was. The fuck?â Sevyn says.
Finally, the man walks off, leaving the friends alone once more. The women seem to let out a sigh of release, and DiamantĂ© seems to cling to Ajaniâs side.
âThat fucking weirdo. Shit just pissed me off I donât even wanna pee no more.â Sevyn crosses her arms, her anger slow to dissipate.
âNo, Iâm still gonna use the bathroom,â Aleya scoffs.
âMe too.â
DiamantĂ©âs quiet voice grabs their attentions, especially Ajaniâs.
His brows furrow. âNah, you could use the bathroom home.â
Her eyes widen. âWhat?â
âYeah, fuck all this shit. We going.â
âAjaniââ
He shakes his head. âNah, Iâon give a fuck. That nigga got me fucked up.â
Aleya and Sevyn share a knowing look.
âTell âem niggas we gone,â he says, taking up DiamantĂ©âs hand.
Too tipsy to really object, she tells her friends âgoodnight,â promising to text them tomorrow.
Sevyn and Aleyaâs farewells are drowned out by their quickly increasing distance and the overall loudness of the alley.
When they finally make it outside, the cool breeze of tonight hits her clammy skin. She squeezes his hand tighter.
âFuckinâ bum ass niggaâI knew I seen him.â
She peers up at him, his eyes staring off into the distance as he speaks his thoughts.
âShouldâa fucked him up, if Iâm being honest.â
When they reach his car, Ajani opens the passenger door for her. She climbs inside, relieved to be off her feet.
But before he closes the door, he bends down to look her in the eyes.
âYou good?â
She nods. âYeah.â
âHe didnât touch you or nothing?â
âNo, Ajani. Iâm good.âÂ
With a nod, he shuts the car door and walks over to his side before sliding behind the wheel.
The drive to his apartment is quiet for the first few minutes. Even his music plays low over the speakers.
She watches his side profile, noting the lowness of his eyes and the way his shoulders sag.
âIâm sorry.â
His eyes donât leave the road, but his brows furrow. âFor what?â
She only shrugs, the small action enough to garner his attention for just a second.
âYou ainât do shit. That nigga was just a creep.â
âYeah,â she exhales.Â
âShit, but I definitely shouldnât be driving right now.â He drags a hand down his face. âJust tryna get in my fuckinâ bed.â
Licking her lips, DiamantĂ© busies her hands by toying with her phone. âAre you really tired?â
He gives her a quick side eye as a lazy smile presents on his face.
âDepends ⊠what you tryna do?â
She looks forward at the nearly empty road ahead of them. Then she shrugs.
âYeah, I seen the way you was looking at me back at the restaurant... Lilâ freaky ass.â
She laughs just a bit. âItâs been a couple days ⊠what do you expect?â
He scoffs, leaning back in his seat as he leaves one hand on the wheel. âYou really sumn else,â he says low, rubbing his chin.
Chewing on her lower lip, she stares at him as a thought brews in her head. Her silence cause him to look her way.
âWhat you thinkinâ âbout over there?â
She releases her bottom lip. Her eyes drop to his lap.
âCan I touch it?â
He huffs out a laugh, shaking his head. âCould do whatever you want ⊠itâs yours.â
With caution, she slowly reaches over the console and spreads her hand over his lap. She traces the barely-hard length through his jeans.
He retains his composure even as he struggles to focus on driving properly.
âYou smelled so good today,â she whispers.
âOh yeah?â
âYeah,â she breathes out. âSo fucking good. She laughs softly, pulling a smile out of him.
The more she rubs up on him, the harder he gets. She licks her lips and reaches over with the other hand to unbutton his jeans and zip them down.
She slips a hand between the layer of his jeans and his boxers, feeling him up through the thin fabric.
âWhen we was at the restaurant, I was thinking of last weekend, when I stayed over.â
Cradling the underside of his dick, her thumb swipes over his fat tip. Excitement races through her as she feels every curve of the mushroom-shaped head.
A faint twitch makes her smile bigger.
âHow you was fucking me.â
Her voice slightly lifts at the end of her sentence, as if the thought alone was enough to get her going.
He found that shit so sexy.
Her thumb continues to rub circles into him. However, she also begins to squeeze him in her palm.
Ajani shifts in his seat, his legs widening on their own.
âFuck, you were so deep, baby.â
Sheâs squeezing him harder, her little hand working his tip.
âSo fucking deepââ
He barely hears the tiny moan that slips out. It takes his attention off of the road for a couple of seconds.
Just long enough for him to catch her with her other hand now between her own legs, dress hiked up around her waist.
He quickly looks away. The sight sends another rush of blood to his dick, and she can feel it as he pulses in her hand.
As one of her hands feels along his length, the other presses against the seat of her damp panties. The pressure pulls a shiver out of her.
âOh, shit,â she gasps, quietly. âFuck, I still have to pee.â Her thighs clamp around her wrist as she remembers her plight.
He glances at her again, trying to fight the melting of his brain as she continues to get him off.
âKeep going.â
His raspy voice catches her off guard.
âW-what?â
He licks his lips and swallows, taking a turn onto a major roadway. âKeep touching yourself.â
âI still have to peââ
âHold it.â
Her silence earns another look her way.
âI mean it, too. Just got this shit detailed ⊠so donât fuck up my seats.â
The gentleness of his voice makes her clench.
His head almost falls back when a tight pressure surrounds his balls. Itâs hard to keep his eyes open.
Kicking off her sandal, Diamanté pulls a leg up onto the seat. Her French-tipped toes dig into the shiny, smooth leather as she opens herself up wider.
She rubs herself through her thin panties with a full hand. As she falls into a rhythm, both of her hands sync together as she pleasures both herself and Ajani.
Her legs open up even wider as she changes from using her full hand to just her middle and ring fingers.Â
Pushed together, she rubs slow, sloppy circles over her clit. The swollen bud pulses, pushing through her thick folds and even creating a small bump through the thin material.
Her wrist aches, but she doesnât stop. Her pussy clenched repeatedly and her breathing grows unsteady.
Slow, lazy blinks come before her eyes roll back closed. She whimpers to herself.
Ajani tries not to swerve as his brain tries to focus on two things at once. But, he canât stop his hips from fucking into her handâeven if just a little bit.
Diamanté sends three, solid smacks to her pussy. Upon the third one, her thigh snap shut and her eyes squeeze closed. Her mouth hangs open as her body freezes.
Before she can stop it, her body lets loose for a split second. Just a tiny stream lets out, creating a small soak-spot into her underwear. Immediately, she regains control, stopping her release.
The pace sheâd been able to keep up falters as she grows weak from her own hand.
âKeep going,â he tells her.
She shakes her head first. âI ⊠I canât.â
âDiaââ
âI canât, I canâtââ
âMove ya hand.âÂ
He pries her thighs open with his free hand, and snatches hers from between them.Â
He replaces her with his touch, cupping the fat mound before sliding his fingers against her. He feels the small wet spot, and it makes his dick harder.
âTold you to hold it.â He lays a smack down on her clit, and her legs try to close around his arm.
A louder moan leaves her this time. But, she holds it as best as she can.
âAnd keep squeezing my shit,â he says, his voice deep and heavy with lust.
Mewling, she gives her focus to his dick. Rubbing and squeezing it. And when thatâs no longer enough, she pulls him out of his boxers.
âShitâŠâ he exhales in relief.
The hot, length stands stiff in both of her hands. Dribbles of precum run down his length. Sheâs quick to swipe it up as she twists both hands over him, pulling at the veiny skin.
âMmh ⊠fuck, baby. J-just like that.â
Ajani doesnât let that distract him, however. Hand between her legs, he rubs his middle finger over her protruding clit.
She almost cries out as he neglects to touch her, keeping her underwear between them.Â
His pointer finger drops down to join the middle. And he pinches her bud. She yelps out.
âHold it,â he says, pinching harder. âHold it.â
Her head falls back as she cries out. The dam is about the break, she can feel it.Â
Her body goes numb for half a second, and then she feel the wet spot spread just a tiny bit bigger.
âIâm cumming, Iâm cummingââ
He cups her once more, feeling her clench down on nothing in his hand. The pink G-string clings to her lips, conforming to their shape.
Her hands freeze around his dick, unable to focus on him as she tries to keep herself from finishing completely over his seats.
âWe almost there ⊠almost there,â he soothes, turning into his buildingâs parking lot.
After regaining her composure, Dia tucks him back in his pants and zips him back up.
Ajani removes his hand as he parks in his designated spot, giving her the chance to fix herself.
When they get out the car, itâs a bit of relief. However, Ajani still has to make it to his apartment without being caught with this boner.
Watching Dia walk ahead of him to get into the main building, he gets an idea.
Itâs hard to concentrate as they stand there waiting for the elevator. Thereâs no one in the lobby, but that doesnât make her any less nervous.
Standing, her backside pressed to his front, she feels his dick poking at her.Â
Ajaniâs so hard, it almost aches. He kisses his teeth, and his hand on her hip squeezes harder.
âWhere this fuckinâ elevator at? Not tryna be waiting here all night.â
As he talks, his hips move just a bit, pushing his dick harder into the fat of her ass. Itâs not helping, honestly.
But, much to her relief, the elevator finally arrives with a sharp ding. They walk in and Ajani is quick to press the button to the eleventh floor.
It seems like time slows as the shaft achingly climbs the floors. Dia doesnât get to watch the numbers change as a hand comes around her neck and squeezesâher eyes flutter shut.
âCanât wait to ruin yo shit,â he whispers in her ear. âHave you bouncing on my dick.â
She moans softly as his hand tightens.
He sucks his teeth. âMatter factââ
It must be the liquor that has him doing this, and whatâs got her letting it happen.
In one second, sheâs bent over, her hands bracing the wall before her as he stands behind.
âShould just fuck ya lilâ ass in here.â
He smacks her left cheek before rutting into her. He spreads her ass with both hands, rubbing his clothed dick into her core.
âO-oh fuck,â she whimpers. The friction has her legs trembling.
âKeep fuckinâ moaning,â he pants, fucking against her. His eyes almost roll back and his balls tighten in his pants.
âBabyââ
Slapping a hand over her mouth, she tries to keep quiet ⊠and from cumming.
Backing up just an inch, he instead holds her by her waist and bounces her hard against him. She almost wails, her pussy craving to be filled.
But her torture ends soon as the elevator dings again, announcing their arrival to the eleventh floor. They waste no time getting out and making their way to his front door.Â
When they come to it, he hands her his keys as he remains behind her. She almost fumbles them, her hands shaking.
He grabs onto her hips again, gripping tightly.
âHurry up ⊠youâon feel that?â
The gravel of his voice makes her shiver, and the way his dick is pressed into her ass almost makes her eyes roll back.
His face drops into the crook of her neck and shoulder to press a kiss into her warm skin.
âHe missed you, baby.â
The slight slur in his voice drives her crazy. But, not more than the way he presses his hips harder against her.
Click, the door goes as she finally unlocks it. The rush of air that hits them as she pushes it open is refreshing. It clears her senses for just half-a-second before her brain is plunged back into a hot pool of lust.
Ajaniâs got his hands on her, spinning her around to press a wet kiss onto her lips. A heavy moan slips out of her as he squeezes her throat.
He sucks on her tongue like itâs his only lifeline, enjoying the taste of her spit too much.
His free hand encircles her waist and heads down to grip as much fat as it could.
The burn of his grip has her clenching in her panties. He pulls out of the kiss just to look her in the eyes.
âTake this stupid ass dress off before I rip it.â
His grip on her throat tightens and she feels herself go dumb a little bit. She nods.
He lets go of her completely, just to watch her pull the black dress over her head.Â
All sheâs got on is that tiny ass, pink G-string, no bra. The fabric is drenched with a wet stain as it clings to her. And her lips are damn near spilling out of it.
âNot even gonna be able to walk when I done with you,â he mumbles, staring at her as he squeezes his dick through his pants.
âWait, I wanna do something else first.â
DiamantĂ©âs gaze drops to the hard outline of his dickâso thick and long.
âYeah?â He looks at her with low eyes, paying keen attention to the outline of her fat pussy. âWhat you tryna do?â
She starts towards him, walking slow.Â
âI wanna suck it.â
His brows lift as an inkling of a smile is on his lips. âOh, word?â
âYeah.â
She stops right before him. A gentle push to his chest sends a big enough of messageâhe falls back onto his couch. And his eyes follow her as she gets down on her knees before him.
She crawls to him, sitting between his legs. Even pushes them apart wider. He almost shivers at her delicate touch on his knees. Â
âWould you let me?â
She blinks up at him as her hands snake their way up his thighs and into his lap. He slips further down into the couch, biting his lip as he watches her undo his pants for the second time tonight.
She gets a peek of those grills again, and she just finds them so sexy.
âAwe shit, baby, you could do whatever you wantâŠâ
His aid comes as he lifts his hips as she drags the heavy denim down his legs. Drunken giggles pour out from her lips as she eyes his print through his boxers.
Even through the thin fabric, the familiar heat of her palm makes his dick twitch. He has to stop himself from humping into her hand as she grips along his length.
Her laughter melts away as she watches his face with a luring smile.Â
âYouâre so wet, baby.â
He almost doesnât even hear her soft voice. But when he does, he looks down and notices the dark spot on his boxers.
âShit ⊠thatâs all you,â he mumbles. His eyes bore into her as she pulls him out of his underwear.
Heâs stiff and heavy in her hand. Her smaller fingers squeeze him just a bit tighter, a weak attempt at trying to get a better grip on him.Â
It amuses him, seeing how the tips of her fingers donât even meet when theyâre around him.
The warmth blossoming under his skin goads her to run a fist over his length.
âYou know how to do it?â he asks her.
She nods before looking back up at him. Looking into his eyes, she can tell that heâs fighting to stay present.
But with the liquor in both their systems, and lust running through their bodies, she can understand how difficult that must be for him.
âYou donât gotta ⊠take it all,â he swallows.
His thigh twitches; Her tongue laves against the underside of the warm, soft tip. She holds him as she circles her tongue around the head, shining it with her spit.Â
âFuck,â he hisses softly, body melting into the couch cushions.
She brushes her tongue against him, picking up a perfect bead of precum just as it dribbles out.
He inhales, shifting in the seat. âSpit on my shit.â
Puckering her lips, she spits it back out on his tip and spreads it across his skin.
âYeah,â he breathes out.
Holding him at the base, she takes his head back into her mouth. His stomach swoops and his breath stutters.Â
DiamantĂ© almost giggles, feeling his tip pulse in her mouth. She pulls off of him with a pop.Â
She repeats the action a couple of more times, going pop ⊠pop ⊠pop! She enjoys too much how he groans above her.
âStop playing, baby, câmon.â
The sound of him begging makes her clit pulse.Â
âOkay, okay,â she says softly, batting her lashes up at him.
Taking a deep inhale, she places her mouth back over the head. Slackening her jaw, she slowly descends his length.
âAwe ⊠shiii,â he stares down at her in shock.
Already, her jaw aches, having to accommodate his size. She gets about halfway.
âMmmh.â
The vibration of her hums make his toes curl. He jumps with a hiss. The movement gags her, and the sound only arouses him.
âT-take your time, babyââ he grunts. âYou donât gottaââ
He chokes on his own words as he watches her continue to swallow him with a bit of effort. The sight has him clutching the couch cushions.
Her throat constricts around his dick as she bottoms out. She nuzzles her nose against the small bush of dark curls at his base.
âFuck,â he mumbles, shifting his hips a bit.
Her eyes flutter close as she relishes the heavy weight her throat holds. His dick twitches, pulling a soft gag out of her.
He loves the sound.
Spit seeps from her mouth, dripping down his length. Trying to swallow around him is difficult.
Carefully, she lays her head against his open lap. She exhales through her nose, trying to relax as she suckles on him.
Itâs almost addicting, having his dick stuff her mouth to the brim. Sheâs content ⊠until she remembers her own arousal.
Her knees burn, but nevermind that. She brings a hand between her thick thighs, whimpering as she caresses herself.
The pads of her fingers slide back and forth over the soaked scrap of fabric covering her pussy.
Her thighs clench around her wrist. But still, she continues, sliding the tips of her acrylic nails against her aching pearl.
He watches her eyes open for just a second, only to showcase how they roll back. Her shoulders twitch.
âYou touchinâ yourself?â
She barely nods as another twitch rakes throughout her body.
The already wet patch of her panties grows warmer as she leaks more arousal. Her fingers rub harder and her pussy spasms.
âMmhââ
She whines around his dick, and his hips stutter.
âSo fuckinâ nasty,â he groans. âLike my dick in your mouth.â
Another whimper.
Peeling a hand from the armrest of the couch, Ajani reaches for her straightened hair and gathers it in a tight ponytail.
âRelax your throat,â is his only warning.
Long, slow strokes have her gagging on him. The back or her throat makes wet clicks as his dick fucks the back of her throat.
Tears bubble in DiamantĂ©âs eyes as her head bobs. Shaky fingers push her soaked panties to the side as she rubs through her sticky, creamy folds.
âLook so fuckinâ good like this,â he says through gritted teeth.Â
She plays in her mess, webs of cream sticking to the pads of her fingers and her pink clit.
His hold around her hair tightens and his pace quickens. Her gags become harsher and louder as he face-fucks her.
A squeal sounds at the back of her throat as she DJs herself quickly. Her chest stutters as it gets harder to breathe with her choking on him.Â
Her body tightens then releases; She sprays against her fingers and the hardwood floor. The hard stream catches his ears, making him sit up to watch.
The whites of her eyes are the only things that show as she cups herself between her legs.
A gooey mess of her spit and his precum drip down his balls and even her face, droplets falling on her bare chest.
âShit, baby ⊠awe shit,â he groans, head thrown back and mouth dropped open.
His stomach clenches as his brows pull together.
âIâm boutâa ⊠c-cumâfuck.â
He pushes her head all the way down, holding her there as he fucks up into her. She tightens her throat around him, sending him over the edge.
Ropes of cum shoot down her throat, sending her pulling off of him in a coughing fit.Â
When she calms, she pulls her hand from between her shaking thighs. Itâs messy with the remnants of her cream and squirt.
She wraps it around him and spits his cum back on his dick.
Itâs a bubbly, frothy mess. She jerks him off, milking him for the rest of his release as she mixes their cum and her spit together.
âSo fuckinâ dirty,â he rasps, his body sagging against the chair.
The squelches of her fist over his dick is music to their ears. Her hand glides with ease as she squeezes him tighter.
âBeatinâ my shit so good.â
Breathy laughter pours out of her as she sticks out her tongue and flattens it. Staring into his low eyes, she taps his dick against the bed of her tongue.
She slides the pink muscle against him before flicking it twice against his leaky slit. He shivers beneath her, and she feeds off the reaction.
Taking his head back into her mouth, she sucks on it with her lips as she digs out his slit with her tongue.
Heâs a whining mess as she overstimulates him.
âFuck baby ⊠fuuuck babyâfuck babyyââ
Ajaniâs head falls back against the cushions and his eyes roll back. He opens his mouth to cry out:
âF-fuuuuuckââ
Lifting from him quickly, she taps him against her tongue as he erupts. His cum paints the pink muscle in white ropes.
âSo good,â she hums, still tugging at him.
His chest heaves as he tries to catch his breath and calm his beating heart. His ears ring and his visionâs got dots.
It takes him too long to return back to earth, as if she had hard reset him.Â
But, thatâs not where their night endsâfar from it, actually.

It's officially one year since I watched Helluva Boss.
Exactly one year ago today when I lay awake in bed, because I couldn't sleep, but couldn't really do much else, because I had to get up early in the morning for an appointment. So, instead I made the decision to finally start watching HB after hearing about "the sister show" to Hazbin Hotel, that I got into two months prior to that.
At the time I seriously had no idea the impact that decision would make on my life... I figured I'd just come out of with some added lore to the Hellaverse, but instead it gave me so many experiences the past year, partly because of how much HB content dropped in general (I sure chose a time to get involved...)
I still remember how I finished episode 5 when I was finally able to sleep, then spend the day doing my appointment stuff, and went straight back to watching the episodes the moment I came home, finishing literally all other episodes (that were available at the time) in basically one sitting. I'm not joking... I also still remember watching Exes and Oohs on the toilet, because I had to go, but didn't wanna stop watching...
Though, the funniest thing for me is still how I came out of that binge watch not really caring about Stolitz. I mean, I liked it fine, but for whatever reason I still don't know, it just didn't really HIT, you know? Until like 1-2 days later when all of Stolitz hit me like a literal train all at the same time and I've never been the same again (shout out to that day like a week after my binge watch where I was awake for like 24 hours digging deep into the Stolitz tag reblogging like 500+ posts... I am normal, I swear!)
I guess my brain is just slow af and needed time to process the complexity of Stolitz, not that it matters, I'm here now. I haven't had an OTP this intense in years, not to mention a canon one, on top of it being a popular ship... I've been eating so well the past year!
Stolitz makes me so happy, it's not even funny...

Unspoken Words pt 1
Master List
Characters: Jensen Ackles x Reader, Readerâs daughter, other characters
Warnings: Nothing too bad, mention of single parent struggles, child with special needs.Â
A/N: Another collab story with @cheekygirl2309. This one is about a single mother with a nonverbal autistic daughter who loves Supernatural. The reader is going to a Supernatural Convention with her daughter and things unfold from there. The daughter character is near and dear to my heart. I have someone very close to me who is nonverbal, but heâs such an amazing kid.Â
*I know how convention photo ops work, again this is a work of fiction. I have however been in the photo op room where they accommodate a child and turn the music off and ask everyone to be as quiet as possible.Â
This is a work of fiction and does not depict real life. Jensen is single in this story.Â
All work is my own and @cheekygirl2309, donât take it or use it as your own. Reblogs and likes are appreciated.Â
Minors DNI 18+
My daughter Lily is such a beautiful soul. At 7 years old sheâs smart, artistic, and is obsessed with the show Supernatural. I had watched the show long before she was born, and now we watch it together as a way to bond.Â
Lilyâs father left me when I found out I was pregnant, so it had just been Lily and I since she was born. My best friend Sarah was like an Aunt to her, and was always there to help me.Â
Especially after Lily was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2. She is nonverbal, and at times it can be very hard and frustrating. Navigating being a single parent is hard enough, but being a single parent to a nonverbal autistic child is really hard. Sarah is my constant support.Â
I have an amazing job working at a local attorneyâs office in downtown Austin. Everyone there loves Lily and the attorneyâs are incredibly kind when it comes to me needing time off to take her to therapy or other appointments.Â
âHey, Y/N, did you hear thereâs a Supernatural convention in town next month, and Radio Company is playing 2 concerts the Monday and Tuesday after.â Sarah was always trying to get me to a convention or a Radio Company concert, especially in Austin.Â
âI know. I saw. I wish I could take Lily to the convention. I think sheâd love it. She might be able to handle the convention, but Iâm definitely not taking her to the concert. She would be overstimulated.âÂ
âWhat if I buy tickets to the concert and you and I go out?â I smiled, âI wish I could, but who would watch Lily?â Sarah nodded.Â
Later that afternoon I sat at my desk thinking about the possibilities, but quickly dismissed them. I knew what Lily could handle, and I knew it wasnât a concert.Â
The rest of the week was a blur. I reached out to my parents to see if it was even a possibility for them to watch Lily so I could go to the concert, but they were headed on a trip to see my Aunt Mary that week. Apparently it was a big birthday for her, so they wanted to go visit.Â
I pushed the concert and convention out of my mind. No sense in keeping my hopes up.Â
Two weeks before the convention my boss, Mr. Jones called me in his office. I noticed his brother, the other attorney was in there too. I was nervous. âY/N, take a seat, please. How have you been, howâs Lily?âÂ
âWeâre good. She is doing well in her therapy. We are going to try an adaptive device to help her communicate. Her therapist is filling out the paperwork so insurance will cover it and the program. She uses one at speech, and does well with it.âÂ
âWow, thatâs awesome. I really hope it helps her communicate easier.â I nodded.
âSo Y/N, the reason I called you in here today is we wanted to thank you for being such an amazing employee. You are selfless and give so much of yourself to the company, to your co-workers and of course Lily. When do you do anything for yourself?âÂ
I looked down at my hands and fidgeted, âI donât. Not really.â âThatâs exactly what we thought, so we got together and wanted to give you this.âÂ
He handed me an envelope. âCan I open it now?â He nodded and smiled.Â
I took a deep breath and opened the envelope and unfolded the papers inside. I softly gasped as I read them. Tears filled my eyes and spilled out, âAre you serious?â âYes, and donât worry about Lily the night of the concert, Annie is going to keep her at our house.âÂ
âOh my god, this is a dream come true. Lily is going to be so excited to go to the convention. Thank you both so much! Can I hug you?â They laughed and nodded. I wrapped my arms around them both. I couldnât believe this.Â
I went back to my desk to call Sarah. âGirl, guess what?! My bosses just gifted me tickets to the convention, complete with photo ops, and tickets to both nights of the concert. Please tell me youâre going to go with me to both. I have three tickets to the convention and two to the concerts. Annie, Mr. Jonesâ wife is going to keep Lily. Lily loves her and Annie is so good with her. Sheâs a special education teacher and is amazing at her job.âÂ
âOf course Iâll go with you. Thatâs awesome, you totally deserve it. I canât wait for you to tell Lily.â âMe either.âÂ
Later that night after Lily and I got home from speech therapy I showed her the tickets, âLook Lily, weâre going to meet Dean.â She smiled and clapped. Anytime she got excited she would clap or flap her hands. Even though she couldnât speak, she communicated in other ways.Â
Later that night Lily walked over to me with the TV remote in hand. I knew she wanted to watch Supernatural, but it was late and I was tired. âNo, Lily. Itâs bedtime. No Dean right now.âÂ
She pushed the remote at me again and huffed. âLily, no. Now go brush your teeth, itâs time for bed.â Again, she pushed the remote at me and huffed louder. âLily Ann, I said no!â She threw herself on the floor and wailed and screamed.Â
I just walked into the kitchen. I knew she was doing it to get her way. She wasnât hurt or being hurt, she was mad. So I let her feel her feelings by herself.Â
I grabbed a glass of water and drank it. Then I heard her walk into the kitchen. âAre you okay, now? I promise we will watch tomorrow.â She took my hand in hers. I hugged her and she went to bed.Â
The day of the convention finally arrived. Lily was a little overstimulated when we arrived, so I ran in to get our badges while her and Sarah waited in the car. The atmosphere was electric and I began to get very excited.Â
I went back out to the car to see if Lily was ready. âYou ready baby girl? Iâve got our tickets.â She wiggled in her seatbelt, so I let her out.Â
I grabbed her bag and headphones just in case. We walked in and her eyes went wide. I saw something in her shift.Â
Lily seemed more present, more aware of the surroundings. I was in awe.Â
I grabbed a schedule and saw Jensenâs photo ops were later. So I figured Iâd take Lily to the merchandise room and buy her a few things.Â
We were walking around looking at everything they had. Lily saw shirts and other items with Jensen on them and immediately wanted them.Â
Then I heard a laugh that instantly pulled my head in the other direction. Standing at the Radio Company table was Jensen.Â
My heart beat wildly. Lily didnât hear or see him at first, but then he started talking and she saw him.Â
Her eyes went wide and before I could stop her she ran towards him, arms wide and hugged his leg.Â
â Oh, whoâs this?â He said as I walked up. Clif was instantly by his side. I was so scared we were about to be kicked out.Â
âI am so sorry. She saw you and got away before I could grab her. Lily, let go. Come on baby.â She held tighter. Jensen smiled at me and bent down, âHello Lily. Itâs nice to meet you.â She held tighter.Â
âIâm so sorry. She doesnât speak. Sheâs nonverbal but loves Dean. We watch the show together as a way to bond. Lily, please let go. He has to leave. We have to leave.âÂ
She shook her head no. I took a deep breath trying to hold myself together. Jensen placed a hand on my shoulder, âHey, breathe. Itâs okay. Sheâs okay.âÂ
âDean!â Sarah and I stood shocked. Lily hadnât spoken in years, and even then was a babble.Â
Jensen looked at me and I at him. Tears pricked my eyes. âDean, no go.âÂ
The tears fell fast and heavy as I hit the floor.Â
Sarah gasped and looked at Jensen, âShe hasnât spoken in years.â Jensenâs eyes filled with tears and he got down beside her âHey sweetheart.â She looked up at him and smiled.Â
I was in awe of him and her. She hardly looked at anyone, let alone a stranger.Â
He reached his hand out to me and grabbed mine, âSheâs okay. Are you okay?â I nodded, âI just canât believe she talked. Iâve been alone in this, except for Sarah. Her father left and I fight everyday to make sure sheâs happy and has the things she needs in life. Her not talking scares me, so this is huge.âÂ
He leaned over and wiped the tears away. His handlers told him he had to go to photo ops. Jensen raised a finger and told them one minute.Â
I looked at Lily who was still clinging to him, âLily, itâs time for pictures. Jensen has to go. We will see him in a minute. Come on baby girl. He has to get ready for the pictures.â She looked at Jensen and then back at me, âgo?â Jensen nodded, âYes, but Iâll see you in a few minutes, okay?âÂ
Lily nodded enthusiastically. Jensen stood and helped Lily and then myself up.Â
When his hand touched mine I felt electricity through my body. I gasped softly. He smirked and winked.Â
He walked away with his handlers and Clif, before they disappeared behind the curtains Jensen turned and looked at us again. My heart was in my throat.Â
âY/N, are you okay?â I heard Sarah ask. âUm, yeah. What was that? She talked, Sarah. She talked to Jensen.â She touched my shoulder, âYeah. That was amazing. Come on, letâs get in line for the photo ops, theyâve called for gold tickets to line up.âÂ
I nodded and told Lily we were going to get our pictures taken with Jensen.Â
We stood in line and as we got closer to the door I could hear the music playing and excitement in the room. I worried about Lily so I handed her the headphones.Â
She put them on and I could tell she was getting nervous. I handed the lady our ticket to scan and then we saw Jensen. Lily tried to bolt to him again, but I held her. She started to get upset and my heart sank.Â
âWant me to take her out of here?â Sarah asked. âNo, I donât want her to miss this. She should be okay.âÂ
âLily, honey, take a breath. See, Jensen is right there. Weâre going to get a picture.âÂ
It was almost our turn and we were at the front of the line. Jensen saw us standing in line and smiled, but then turned his focus to the people getting their picture taken. They wanted an elaborate pose, props and all, which meant a bit more time. Lily was at her limit.Â
Before they could usher us up she melted down. When it was our turn Jensen looked at me and smiled, âIâm sorry, we canât do this right now. She needs a minute. Is there any way we can come back?â I asked the woman scanning the tickets.
âLet me see what we can do.â She said and I smiled. She walked over to Jensen and the photographer. The decision was to clear the room and turn off the music.Â
There were some grumbles from other fans, I understood completely, but I was amazed by their generosity.Â
Jensen walked over to me and then bent down to Lily. âHey, Lily. Want to get a picture taken with me?â She looked up and nodded.
He scooped her up, wiped her tears and grabbed my hand. Chris the photographer was so sweet. He offered a photo of just Lily and Jensen, and then all of us. âBut I only have a ticket for one.â He touched my arm, âLet me worry about that.â He smiled and I nodded.Â
Lily had her arms around Jensenâs neck and smiled bigger than Iâd ever seen her smile. My heart was so full.Â
She giggled, and kept saying âDeanâ over and over again.Â
âSweetie, his name is Jensen. Remember?â I said looking at her.
I walked over to get in the picture and Jensen put his arm around me. I looked up at him and looked in his eyes, oh how beautiful his eyes were. I lost time for a bit. Everything around me melted away.Â
âMama.â I broke eye contact and gasped. âSheâs never called me mama before.â Jensen smiled, âThatâs amazing, sweetheart.âÂ
âMama, Jensen.â Sarah was just as shocked. âMy baby is talking.â I stood and cried. Jensen held me tight.Â
âMama, Jensen go home.â I looked at her and then him. He chuckled. âNo baby, Jensen canât come home with us. He has to go to his house.âÂ
It was like a switch flipped in her. She was talking. I couldnât believe she was talking.Â
âBaby, we have to go. Jensen has other pictures to take. Come on sweetie.â She refused to let go of his neck and I was starting to panic. âJensen, Iâm so sorry. Sheâs never acted like this before. I know you have all those other people waiting.âÂ
He took my hand, âHey, itâs okay. I want her to be comfortable. Do you think sheâd be okay sitting over there until Iâm done?â He pointed to a table to the side, but in line with him. âWe could try, but you really donât have to. You donât know her or me, and donât owe us anything.âÂ
Thatâs when he cupped my face and my breath hitched, âI donât know you two, but Iâd like to. Besides, my nephew means the world to me, and I know how hard it is for my brother and sister-in-law. It definitely takes a village.âÂ
I nodded, swallowed hard, âLily, come on. Weâre going to sit right over there and wait for Jensen, okay?âÂ
She turned and looked then climbed down and sat in the chair closest to Jensen. I chuckled, âI guess itâs okay. Thank you, Jensen.â Clif stood near us and they resumed pictures.Â
In between photos Jensen glanced our way and when he looked at me he smiled. I couldnât believe everything that had happened. Lily had spoken, Jensen Ackles was being so sweet, and I was sure I was having a fever dream.Â
After photo ops Jensen was escorted out of the room, before leaving he took my hand and grabbed Lily, âCome on. Letâs go backstage.â I nodded and Sarah followed with our stuff in tow.Â
Once in the quiet solitude of backstage Jensen and I started talking. Lily curled up between us and fell asleep. I explained that when she got overstimulated for long periods of time it would drain her to the point where she needed sleep.Â
He looked down at her and smiled, âSheâs an amazing kid, Y/N. Youâre doing great.â âThank you. That means so much to me.âÂ
âSo if you donât mind me asking, tell me a little about yourself. I know you have an incredible kid, and youâre an amazing mother, but Iâd like to know more.âÂ
I bit my lip and talked. Told him about work, Lily, our lives, everything. He was completely focused on the conversation. He told me about his life, spent between here in Austin and Vancouver. He said heâd been busy with shooting schedules, but loved doing the conventions.Â
We talked about the upcoming concert, and he was excited I was going. âIâm not bringing Lily. She wouldnât be able to handle it, but Iâll be there both nights with Sarah.â He looked over at her and smiled. âIâm glad youâre coming, sweetheart.âÂ
There it was again, âsweetheartâ. It made my heart flutter and my face flush red. âWell darlinâ I have to get to a meet and greet, yâall are welcome to stay back here as long as you need. I hope to see you later.âÂ
I nodded, âThank you, Jensen. Youâve been incredible with her. I really appreciate it.â He nodded and turned to leave, stopping as he got to the door, âHereâs my number, text me so I have your number. Iâd like to make sure Lily is okay for the rest of the convention.âÂ
I took the paper, sent him a text and he smiled, âGot it. Thank you.â He winked and went out the door, leaving me and Sarah in silence. âGirl, heâs got it bad for you.â I chuckled, âYeah right, heâs just being sweet because of Lily.âÂ
âHeâs definitely being sweet to Lily, but heâs enamored with her mom too.â I rolled my eyes and laughed, but deep down I was feeling something.
My phone went off with a notification, I looked down and smiled. It was from Jensen.Â
Jensen: Hey sweetheart, I have the pictures we took. They are amazing. Iâll bring them to you soon.Â
Me: Thatâs great. I canât wait, and Jensen, thank you again for being so sweet to my Lily girl.Â
Jensen: Sheâs a great kid, Iâd like to get to know her and her mom better. That is if youâre open to that.Â
I looked at my phone and looked up at Sarah. I showed her the message, âWhat do I say?â âMaybe you want to get to know him better too.â She wiggled her eyebrows at me. âShut up you perv.â We both laughed.Â
Me: Sheâd like that, and so would I.Â
Jensen: Good. Talk to you soon sweetheart.Â
Me: I canât wait.Â

âWell, it has been a bit, man,â Happy agreed with Opie.
Jax took a pull off of his beer as the table of Sons around him broke into a fit of laughter at his expense. The thunderous noise of their amusement drowned out the classic rock playing in the bar theyâd settled at tonight. For once they found themselves drinking somewhere other than at the clubhouse. Tonight, they were at The Alley, a dive bar in downtown Charming. Having just finished a meeting here with Marks, they had all collectively decided to stay and enjoy a few more rounds before heading back.
Jax rolled his eyes at the Sonsâ teasing, not exactly taking their bullshit personally. Theyâd had a rough past few weeks and were just trying to unwind for the night. He knew that.
âGot nothinâ to say in your defense, Jackie boy?â Chibs asked, clapping a hand on his shoulder. âYa suddenly gone celibate?â
Swallowing down his beer, Jax shrugged as he lowered the bottle back to the table. A smug grin drew itself over his lips before he answered. âWhat can I say? Iâve just been busy,â he told the guys. âPussy hasnât exactly been top priority on my mind lately.â
A round of disbelief flew from around the table next, the noise only causing Jaxâs grin to grow wider. It was true, though. He really hadnât been concerning himself with getting laid over the past few weeks, too focused and stressed over club business to have even thought about it. He honestly had been so caught up in everything that he hadnât even realized how long it had been since heâd last taken a girl to his bed.
âMaybe youâre losing your touch,â Bobby joked.
âOr youâre just going soft on us, Pres,â Tig quipped.Â
One of Jaxâs brows arched up onto his forehead at that comment. Going soft? Now that was absolute bullshit.Â
âDonât be a jackass,â Jax replied. âIâm not losing nothing, and I sure as shit have not gone soft, Tig.â
A glint of mischief surfaced in Tigâs eyes at Jaxâs response. He leaned forward, resting his elbows along the table as a teasing grin slipped onto his face. âOh no?â he questioned. âYou havenât? YouâŠwilling to make a bet on that, Jax?â
Jax settled back in his chair, his hands folding in front of himself as he studied the man. The entire table of Sons had fallen silent at Tigâs question, intrigue hanging thick between them all. Jax never backed down from a challenge, they all knew that.Â
âYeah,â Jax answered easily. âI am. What do you have in mind, Tig?â
âOh, shit,â Opie muttered with a chuckle, running a hand through his beard.
âNow this is getting good,â Chibs added, gesturing his beer at Tig. âLetâs hear it, brother.â
Tig straightened in his chair, his focus remaining fixed on Jax across the table from him. That mischievous glint in his eye hadnât yet faded.
âAlright then, Jax. You wanna prove you havenât gone soft on us? I bet you to get a girl from this bar onto the back of your bike and show her a good time in your bed before weâre finished here tonight,â Tig challenged. âAnd Iâm clarifying that itâs gotta be a broad of our choosing, not yours. No easy pickings.â
A chorus of âoohâ and âoh shitâ was muttered around the table as all of the Sonsâ eyes darted between Jax and Tig as the bet was laid out. Jax didnât look remotely fazed by it, though. Instead, he easily drew his beer up to his lips, finishing the last of it before he set the bottle back down on the table.
âYouâre on,â Jax replied, a confident grin tugging at his lips. âI guarantee I can get any girl in here on my bike in fifteen minutes or less easily.â He jutted his chin at Tig before he continued, that cocky tone of his growing. âWhat do I get when I win?â
Tig took a moment, as if he was thinking about the answer, mulling it over for a minute. âGive you three hundred bucks,â he finally answered. âPlus, you get laid. Butââ he held up a finger, that glint in his eyes still lingering, ââif you lose, we collectively get to think of some form of embarrassing punishment for you.â
That gave Jax pause for a moment, one hand running through the scruff along his chin. Not that he remotely doubted his ability to get a girl in his bed by any means, but the possibility that they might pick some chick that he somehow would not be able to charm didnât sit well with him. Because he could only imagine what embarrassing âpunishmentâ the guys would love to force on him.
âYouâre hesitating, Jax,â Bobby pointed out.
With a roll of his eyes, Jax sat forward in his chair. âOf course Iâm in,â he accepted without another thought, the confidence returning. âThis is going to be stupid easy anyway.â
âAye, well,â Chibs said, shaking his head at his President. âDonât forget, Jackie, the girls here are normal broads. Not the kind at the clubhouse. Or Diosa or the porn studio.â
Opie shook with silent laughter on the other side of Jax, one of his hands reaching out to lightly nudge his best friend. âThatâs right,â he agreed. âThese girls arenât pre-warmed and ready for your advances, brother.â
âDoesnât fucking matter,â Jax replied, waving the comment off. âWho the hell would say no to some time with this face?â
Another round of raucous laughter erupted from the table and Jax grinned wider at the sound. He had no doubt that heâd find a way to charm any woman the guys ultimately picked. Didnât matter if she wasnât a croweater, heâd find a way. He knew he was attractive and he had the confidence to go with it. Heâd make it happen. There was no way in hell heâd lose the bet.
âGreat,â Tig said, clapping his hands together before he turned away from the table. âNow to find a suspect.â
For a few minutes, Jax sat at the table as the Sons all began surveying the bar in search of a target for this bet. He listened as the men pointed out a few different options, hearing comments like âno, looks too willingâ or âdoesnât look remotely challenging enoughâ. He chuckled to himself, watching as all of his men kept talking amongst themselves until Tig eventually caught everyoneâs attention.
âThat one!â he exclaimed, gesturing a finger across the bar. âThe one at the end of the bar there. Hunched over her phone. Didnât even notice her at first.â
Jax shifted in his seat, trying to get a look at where all of the men were now focused. In the far corner of the room, almost too easy to miss, was indeed a woman hunched over her phone. She looked like she was concentrating on something, and judging by the way she was dressed, she wasnât trying to capture the attention of anyone in the bar tonight. Jax was immediately thankful that he didnât find her unattractive, either. If anything, he found himself pleased this was the woman theyâd picked for the bet. He wouldn't mind her in his bed for a couple of hours tonight.
âShe looks more like sheâd slap Jax for approaching rather than sleep with him,â Bobby said with a laugh.Â
Tig shot a look over his shoulder at Bobby, a wicked grin on his face as he nodded his head in agreement. âI know, right? Sheâs perfect.â
âIf anything,â Jax cut in, glancing back over at the woman, âshe looks like sheâd be thanking me for giving her a little stress relief. She looks a little too tightly wound.â
The table of Sons all returned their attention to Jax now, curious expressions adorning their faces. They were waiting to see if he would keep his word now that a woman had been chosen for the bet.
âStill think you got it in you to charm a girl like that?â Opie asked.
âYeah, Jax,â Tig goaded. âYou gonna call off the bet or what?â
âFuck off,â Jax said as he rose from his chair, lightly slapping a hand onto the table. âNo goddamn way I'm turning the bet downâor losing it. Let me show you boys how itâs done. Iâll have her on my bike and screaming my name in no time.â
Another round of laughter came from around the table, a few of the men wishing Jax good luck. Opie gave him a pat on the back as Jax walked away from the group, his gaze fixed on the unsuspecting woman at the far end of the bar.
This was going to be fun.

The dive bar youâd found yourself in for the evening smelled like mold and sweatânot unlike the shitty motel room youâd checked yourself into earlier today. And yet somehow it had still been rated the best of all the shitty motels in Charming.Â
Today had been long. You'd had a bit of a drive out to the small town of Charming from Red Ridge this morningâthe city in which you lived just a little outside of San Francisco where your prestigious paper, the San Francisco Sun Times, was located. After briefly unpacking a few of your things in the motel youâd unfortunately have to call home for a bit, you'd hit the road again and began your investigation around the surrounding area.
Aleksander Petrova was your great white whale. Youâd been chasing him for well over a year now, and youâd almost led the FBI straight to him seven months ago, but some sort of information leak had given the bastard a chance to disappear into thin air before theyâd had an opportunity for an arrest. Heâd been right there operating just outside of Los Angeles for months and youâd been linking missing woman after missing woman together, discovering a pattern in which heâd targeted female sex workers specifically. Whether his men abducted them from the street, underground brothels, or strip clubs, youâd grown familiar with how he targeted them. But then his ass had disappeared into the wind.Â
Until recently.
Which was why youâd landed yourself in Northern California now. You had caught the familiar pattern in the unreported missing women cases in the area that had been occurring for the past few months. You were positive it was Petrova. But due to his reach and wealth, and the fact that most of society didnât bat an eye at a missing prostitute, no one had looked into the cases. It didnât help that Petrova had plenty of law enforcement in his back pocket, making it easy for officers to turn a blind eye to what was actually going on throughout the state.
But not you. Â
Huddled over the counter of the bar in the dim lighting, you were focused on typing up an email to your editor on your phone. Gary had technically wanted you to check in with him once youâd gotten settled in Charming earlier this morning, but having been unable to resist getting started on your investigation after finally catching a lead, you admittedly had forgotten all about shooting him an email. You hoped the added bit of information about what youâd started working on today would ease the angry scolding you were sure to receive later.
As you typed, absently sipping on the piss beer you'd ordered a while agoâthe one that was only half-finished and growing warmâyou eventually felt a presence sidle up near you at the bar. Still focused on your work email, you paid the person no mind as your fingers swiftly flew over the keyboard of your phone. But when you noticed them lean against the counter near you from your peripheral, you had a feeling your quiet evening trying to unwind and focus your thoughts was about to be interrupted.
âHey there, darlinâ,â a deep, smooth voice came from beside you. âYou're not from around here, are you?â
Without even glancing up, fingers still flying across the keys of your phone, you tensed at the man's clearly obvious intent. You had important work to focus on, you weren't interested in getting hit on by some random guy in a small town.
âNo thank you,â you simply replied, not bothering to look at him.Â
An amused chuckle met your response, the sound only further irritating you. So this guy wasn't going to give up easily. Fantastic.
âMaybe you should put the phone down, sweetheart,â the voice tried again. âYou're missing out on what's going on around you. Like me flirting with you.â
Fingers pausing their typing, you resisted the urge to throw your phone at him. âI wouldn't say I'm âmissingâ it, exactly,â you said, annoyance levels rising. âIt's actually interrupting my work.â
âYou're working right now?â the voice asked incredulously. âDarlinâ, no. Put the phone away, you're sitting at a bar. Why the hell are you working?â
âLook, if youâre looking for an easy lay tonight, itâs not me,â you stated bluntly, skimming through the finished email on your phone. âIâll save you the time right now: Iâm not interested. Please leave me alone.â
Another amused chuckle rumbled from the man beside you before you caught him sliding a little bit closer down the length of the counter towards you. Pressing the send button on your phone a bit more roughly than necessary, you couldnât believe the audacity of this asshole. Was he really going to be that persistent?
âSweetheart, Iâm just trying to talk to you,â he replied, entirely unfazed by your rejection. âNo need to go getting ahead of ourselves quite yet.â
With a frustrated huff, you turned off the screen on your phone and finally looked over at the man beside you, an irritated glare already on your face. But the irritation immediately fell from it when you realized you recognized this man. An annoying smirk quickly overtook his features as he caught the shift in your own expression, but you didnât even give that arrogant look on his face another thought before your eyes dropped down to the leather kutte he was wearing, your eyes landing on the President patch. After a brief pause, your gaze slid back up to meet his. The smirk on his face only grew a bit wider as he continued to lean against the bar counter in front of you.
âChange your mind now, darlinâ?â he asked.
Ignoring the smirk that seemed to be permanently present and the cocky confidence he exuded, your eyes narrowed slightly back at him. Youâd done your research before coming out to Charming. You knew exactly who he was, and he was someone youâd been hoping to get an audience with while you were here. Especially because you were partly here because of him. What were the odds heâd just walk right up to you in a piece of shit dive bar?
âJax Teller, right?â you questioned back.
That caught him off guard. He visibly recoiled, his eyes widening a bit as you called him by his name. A name he hadnât given you yet. It took him a moment to recover, his demeanor shifting to something cautious and suspicious almost instantly.Â
âYeah, and who the hell are you, sweetheart?â he asked, tone a bit sharper now.
Turning in your chair, you stuck your hand into your purse which hung over the back of it before pulling out a business card. He gave you a strange look as you slid it towards him on the counter, clearly not anticipating the flirtatious conversation to go the way it currently was.Â
âIâm an investigative journalist,â you informed him. âFor the San Francisco Sun Times. Iâm out here working a story on missing sex workers.â
Jaxâs eyes rose back to you over the top of the business card he was holding in his hand. He looked confused as he studied you in silence for a moment.
âIâm sorry, youâre doing what?â he finally asked.
With a roll of your eyes you briefly explained yourself. âIâm investigating the disappearances of missing womenâspecifically sex workersâin Northern Cali. I believe theyâre linked to Aleksander Petrova. You know, the big Russian crime lord?â
Jax pulled a face, his expression morphing briefly into one of horrified disbelief as he set your card back on the bar counter. âYeah, darlinâ. I damn well know who he is,â he told you. âWhat the hell are you doing looking into a man like that?â
An annoyed huff fell out of you in response. âI just told you,â you replied.
âNo, I heard what you said,â he continued, shaking his head at you. âBut, sweetheart, youâre a journalist. The hell are you gonna do going up against a man like Petrova?â
Turning further towards him in your chair, you let out a frustrated sigh. Youâd been doing this for a long time now, you werenât remotely incompetent. And you certainly didnât appreciate being treated as such.
âIâm not going up against him, Mr. Teller,â you began, noticing the way his lips twitched when youâd referred to him so formally. âIâm investigating the missing women. Petrova has a pattern and Iâve been following him for over a year now. Iâm trying to find evidence to link the missing women to him so I can give the FBI the information and they can take him down.â
His eyes narrowed back at you, an unreadable expression crossing his features as he listened to what you were saying. He looked completely different now than the arrogant flirt he had been just a few minutes ago.
âHelping those women and stopping that piece of shit is my main priority,â you finished. âThe pay from publishing the story just keeps me doing what I do to help others.â
âYou realize how unsafe and stupid that is, right?â he shot back. âYouâre gonna get yourself killed. Or taken for his trafficking ring yourself. Youâre just one goddamn woman going up against a Russian mobster with far more wealth and power than you have. You donât stand a chance.â
âI didnât ask for your vote of confidence,â you bitterly pointed out.
He paused for a moment, irritation briefly washing across his features. You figured he wasnât used to being spoken to like this very often. Particularly by women, if your research into his club had taught you anything.
âWhyâre you telling me all of this?â he asked curiously. âWhy are you here in Charming?â
âBecause, Mr. Teller,â you began, enjoying the flash of annoyance on his face at your continued formality, âI have a reasonable suspicion that your clubâs businesses might be affected by all of this.â
His eyes immediately hardened at that, a dangerous glint in them. But before he got a word out, a loud commotion broke out over the noise of the bar. Both of you glanced over at the increasing ruckus across the room. You spotted a table filled with Sons all currently banging their hands against the surface and shouting at Jax.Â
âWe believe in ya, Jackie!â
âCome on, brother! Seal the deal!â
âWhat's taking you so goddamn long, man!â
You frowned as the group of men fell into loud laughter, your attention slowly returning to the man in front of you. It was obvious they were shouting at him in relation to him having come over to flirt with you, but they seemed far too invested for their behavior to be normal. Jax's expression didn't give you much to go by as he only appeared to grow further irritated at their interruption before he turned back around and focused on you.
âWhat businesses are you talking about, darlinâ?â he asked.
Resting an arm along the sticky bar counter, you kept your attention solely on him despite the continued noise from across the room. This conversation was far more important than whatever bullshit these men were shouting about. You might never have the opportunity of discussing anything about this investigation with Jax again after tonight, you couldn't waste the opportunity that had fallen into your lap.
âRedwoody and Diosa,â you answered him. âAnd the Diosa expansion I know youâre working on.â
Jax tensed at your response, his eyes narrowing further as he grew even more uncomfortable now. âHow do you know about those?â he asked. âAnd why do they have anything to do with this?â
âI'm good at my job, Mr. Teller,â you answered. âAnd I told you, Petrova targets sex workers. And you and your club happen to have rounded quite a few up for your porn business and the poorly disguised brothels.â At the look that flashed across his face, you abruptly held up a hand and continued. âRelax, I'm not here to out you on those. I've known about them for a while now. If I wanted them shut down, they'd have been raided already. That's not what I'm after.â
âAnd Iâm just supposed to take your word for that?â he snapped, his eyes narrowing dangerously. âSweetheart, youâve got a lot of knowledge that you shouldnât have. Iâm not likinâ that.â
Tapping your nails against the bar, you could see the tension increasing in him. Heâd obviously expected to come over here and flirt, probably thinking heâd take you somewhere for a fuck. Now he looked stiff and pissed off.Â
âDo you really think Iâd be dumb enough to tell you this to your face if I planned to shut your shit down?â you asked him. âBecause thatâd be pretty fucking stupid.â Sighing, your nails stopped tapping along the counter as you tried to be straight with him. âLook, Iâm investigating these missing women either way. While I do, Iâm hoping to keep your girls safe. All Iâd like is a little cooperation to do so.â
âCooperation?â he asked skeptically.
You shrugged easily. âYeah. Like a headâs up if something weird is going on,â you explained. âIf someoneâs eyeing your businesses. Following any of your girls home. Anyone actually ends up missing.â
âDarlinâ, I think Iâm better equipped to take care of our girls more than you are,â he argued, that arrogant smirk gradually returning. âAnd I donât need some fed wannabe dragging the real feds to my town.â
âWell,â you said, pushing your chair out and rising to your feet, âIâll still be around. In case you care to change your mind and help those missing women.â
Pocketing your phone into your jeanâs pocket, you figured it was about time you made it back to your motel for the night. You had a long day ahead of you tomorrow and you wanted to finalize a few more notes on your laptop before bed. Grabbing your purse and slipping the strap over your head, you paused when Jaxâs voice suddenly broke through your thoughts.
âWhoa, wait, youâre just leaving then?â he asked. âYou drop a bomb like that and then youâre just gonna disappear? You didnât even finish your beer.â
Glancing over at the half-finished, disappointing drink, you made a noncommittal noise and shrugged. âIt was shitty beer, anyway.âÂ
You managed to take one step before Jax was speaking again. In the distance, you heard a bit of commotion steadily growing from the table of Sons once more.
âCome on,â Jax tried again. âJust let me buy you a drink. Something a little less shitty. We can talk about somethingâŠless depressing.â
Eyes running over the length of him just once, you already knew what he was after. And the answer was still no. You were here to finish this story and get Petrova thrown in prison. Fucking some random outlawâno matter how attractiveâwasnât a priority. Especially one who, in your research, apparently had a history of fucking just about anything. You avoided guys like that.
âNo, Iâm good,â you answered. âHave a nice night, Mr. Teller.â
Taking just a few steps towards the barâs exit, you heard the commotion from the table of Sons suddenly explode throughout the bar. The noise caused you to halt in your tracks, your head darting over towards the table as your brows knitted together in curiosity.Â
âAw, Jackie!â one of the men shouted. âYa lost the bet!â
âYouâre losing your touch, brother!â
âShot down! No action for you!â
It took a moment, but the second your ears registered the words âbet,â you steadily began piecing things together. He hadnât come over to initially speak with you because heâd actually been interested, itâs because theyâd all made you into a damn bet. A fucking joke for their entertainment. Probably something along the lines of him getting you into his bed. A look of disgust passed over your features as your gaze shifted to Jax still standing beside the bar. He at least had the audacity to look moderately apologetic before he turned his attention towards the guys, shouting loudly across the room to be heard.
âKnock it the fuck off, assholes!â
Shaking your head at him, you could feel the disgust and embarrassment steadily filling you. It wasnât as if you hadnât worked with countless individuals in the seedy underworld, because you most certainly had. Your ability to humanize them to the outside world in your pieces was something youâd been praised for repeatedly. But never in your years of journalism had you been subjected to something so humiliating.Â
âYou just saved me three hundred bucks, sweetheart!â one man shouted over to you.
A chorus of laughter erupted once more from the table as you made your way to the exit without a backwards glance at Jax. Instead, you shot the men at the table a dark glare, raising a hand high in the air and flipping the whole table off before pushing the door open and making your way outside.Â
Working with the Sons on this story, if you managed it, was going to be a pain in your ass.

Hello!! Could I request some sweeney todd x reader heavy fluff please? thanks!
Marked by an angel
Pairing: Sweeney Todd x gn!reader
Smmary: A chance meeting of two strange people on Fleet street. What started just as part of your job lead you to finding a new friend and perhaps...a lover.
Warnings: hints of murder (it's Sweeney, c'mon), unfair boss/employee dynamic, description of getting robbed and bruises (1 blackeye)
A/N: After what felt like an eternity, I am back! I am so glad I finished this. I was dealing with mental issues, financial struggles, work and uni so I had no time and time or energy to do anything. But I am very happy to post this! Maybe it's not as fluffy as you wanted and for that I am sorry, but I feel like it is as true to the character as possible :) I'll gladly hear your feedback on this piece and all likes, but especially reblogs and comments are greatly appreciated! Also, if you'd like to hear some bonus stuff about this oneshot, feel free to shoot me a message!
There are many men in the world. And yet you can't say you've ever met anyone the likes of Mr. Todd.
The quiet barber from Fleet street. With his pale complexion, white streaked hair and dark eyes that held the depths of the ocean that surrounds Britain. He had captured your attention the very first time you made an appointment with him for your boss. The recommendations for his shop floated around your part of town and all the gentlemen could not seem to praise his skills enough.
Your boss had ordered you to find him a new barber, since his old one was ripping him off on money. Not that you blamed the poor bloke, times were tough, prices high and it wasn't like your boss couldn't spare a few pounds, especially since he liked to have his hair and beard trimmed once a month. Luckily, you managed to talk him out of getting the authorities involved, knowing that if the man was to be jailed, it would take a massive toll on his family.
Your job as an errand person, a sort of secretary, was simple enough in theory. You followed your boss around, a businessman dealing in produce from a few farms that he owned in the countryside. All you had to do was carry a notepad and a pencil with you to scribble down tasks that had to be managed and appointments that had to be made or dealt with. But in reality your legs were probably stronger than most people's, with how many steps you walked every day. Even though it wasn't in your job description, you did everything your boss didn't want to, went everywhere he wasn't exactly needed. You swore that the lazy bastard would have you walking to the latrine instead of him, if it were possible.
That was one of the reasons you liked the visits to the barber's, because you got to just sit on a chair by the window for an hour at least, quietly listening to the conversation made between your boss and the man grooming him, only occasionally having to scribble down one thing or another. But ever since your boss started to frequent Mr. Todd's shop, the rest wasn't the only reason accompanying your boss there was enjoyable or you.
Mr. Todd was an enigma. Mostly silent during work and outside of it, you learnt to appreciate the sound of his voice and to study his body language, little quirks that gave off pieces of his personality. The way his eyes flitted around, scanning the face of his customer for any imperfections that needed to be dealt with. His hands were steady, working seemingly without relying on his eyes or even brain, with a level of discipline you haven't seen before in your life. And from time to time, his eyes would flick up to meet yours, for a fraction of a second, before falling back down to your boss, lounging on Mr. Todd's intricate chair. You wondered why it had to be so intricate, compared to other barbers you've seen in your career, but you didn't question it, just as you never questioned the way the man's eyes would inevitably get stuck on your boss' neck every once in a while for some reason that had yet to reveal itself to you.
Maybe it was morbid curiosity or some other strange pull that made you want to find out just what was the cause of the deep emotion swirling behind Sweeney's eyes. The kind of pull that made sure the mysterious barber did not leave your mind for longer than a few hours. So you started to come around to the meat pie shop right under Mr. Todd's. The shop owner, Mrs. Lovett, was a sweet and terribly lonely woman, whose meat pies were, also, quickly gaining popularity around its part of town, and it didn't take long for her to take a shine to you as soon as she recognised you as one of her regulars.
While making a new friend wasn't your primary goal when you started hanging around the pie shop, you didn't mind how Mrs. Lovett warmed up to you. She was a sweet and funny woman, in her own way, and you soon recognised she was also dealing with romantic feelings towards Mr. Todd, as she confided in you one day. These feelings were unreciprocated, as far as you knew, although Sweeney visited the shop every night, coming down to fetch his dinner, for free of course. He usually came around after closing his own shop, sometimes even later, when even Mrs. Lovett closed down for the night. He would walk past you two sharing a glass of wine and exchanged a quiet and smooth, although cold 'good evening', before taking a pie and disappearing upstairs again.
But the longer you kept visiting Mrs. Lovett, the more Sweeney started to notice you. Once in a blue moon he would share a glass of wine with you both as you would more or less listen to Minnie ramble about this and that. After some time, one night, when Sweeney was upstairs and you were spending an evening at the pie shop, Mrs. Lovett told you cheekily that Mr. Todd asked about you, how you and her met and why you were around so much. Despite her mischievous smile you felt as if he was wary of your presence here, which puzzled you, but it did not deter you from wanting to get to know the man more.
In the end, it was him who made the first move, and you didn't even realise until much later. One time, when you were accompanying your boss for his monthly trim, Sweeney suggested that he should come around more often, at least every two weeks, because it would do wonders for his hair and beard health. It was evident your boss had no idea whether that was true or not, so he looked at you for confirmation. You shared a look with the barber, through which you tried to communicate to him that if he was planning to swindle your boss, it would be on your head, but something in those dark eyes of his made you trust him, so you confirmed to your boss that yes, coming to the barber more often would not only be beneficial to his hair, but it would also be good for appearances.
From that point on you got closer with the barber much faster than you could even register. One night, as you were sitting at the table in the pie shop across Minnie, nursing your second glass of wine and venting out frustration from your job, Sweeney came down to get his dinner. Before he left though, he stopped in the door to the kitchen, where the pies were made, and stared at you for a while, gaze calculating, but not as cold as you were used to. With the alcohol flowing through your veins you called him out on it, to which he simply replied "Your hair. It would do good with a trimming." before turning around on his heel and walking out. Mrs. Lovett cursed his lack of etiquette and assured you that you looked fine, although getting a trim wouldn't be a bad idea. She knew that given what your job was, you didn't have much time left to treat yourself.
The next time you accompanied your boss to his barber appointment yet again, Sweeney brought up the subject as your boss left you to pay. "Have you thought about my offer?" You blinked up at him, not knowing for a second what he meant, before his eyes shifted to your hair and you understood what he was implying. Feeling the heat rising to your cheeks, you tried to keep your cool as you asked, just to be sure "You meant that you would trim my hair?" You didn't want your voice to come out as unsure and surprised as it did, but if Sweeney noticed it, and something told you he did, the barber didn't mention it or let it show. He only smirked the slightest bit, making you wonder later if you didn't just imagine it, and replied "Well, at this point I would be offended if the first person you tasked with such a job wasn't me. Or do you deem my skills inadequate?" he raised his brow as he jokingly asked, knowing well what your answer would be. Feeling as hot as a boiled potato, you quickly settled the date of your appointment before you were out the door, so that your boss wouldn't scold you for dilly dallying.
When the day of your appointment came, you felt strangely nervous, your legs slightly shaking as you walked up the stairs to Sweeney's dark shop. For some reason, you couldn't shake the feeling of cattle being herded to a butcher. You chalked it up to your crush making you nervous, but that feeling only intensified when Sweeney positioned the barber chair you had sat on, so that you were half laying down. And yet when he tended to your locks, his touch was soft, quick and precise, never wandering where it didn't need to and leaving as soon as he was done in one area, moving swiftly to another. What came as a surprise to you was that he made small talk with you the entire time you were in that chair. Maybe it was because he sensed your nerves, but maybe not, you really couldn't tell. He asked you where you came from, why were you in London of all places, he even asked about your job and your family. The last topic he brushed upon quickly, which made you suspect it was a tough subject for him, an information you filed away safely in your brain to mull over later.
The last thing he told you when you were done and admiring yourself in the mirror he provided was to not tell Mrs. Lovett who cut your hair. You nodded softly and made your way home, feeling like a brand new person. Although the next time you set foot in the pie shop, Minnie's first question was "Did Mr. Todd cut your hair? It looks wonderful, darling!" You didn't confirm nor deny her rhetoric question, only smiling a bit bashfully before Mrs. Lovett insisted on opening 'the good wine' for the occasion. You didn't mention the fact that he refused to take payment for the service...
And as if that wasn't enough embarrassment in the short amount of time, this night at Minnie's pie shop turned out to have gone on much longer than any other one. Mrs. Lovett insisted you stay a bit longer any time you brought up going home for the night. Her reasoning being that since you finally did something for yourself after what must've been quite a long time in her opinion, you deserved to treat yourself some more, because when would an opportunity like this arise again?
And so you stayed seated in the dimly lit pie shop that smelled of baked meat, the likes of which you have never smelled before, and a mixture of herbs that reminded you of a memory long buried in your mind.
The conversation flowed freely and as the alcohol made its rounds through your bloodstream, your tongue became looser, as well as did Minnie's. She told you how her attempts at wooing Mr. Todd were progressing, or rather, were stagnating, with the man ignoring any and every romantic gesture or hint made towards him by his friend. That brought you to joining her in her admiring words for the handsome barber, leading to many laughs and jokes. Maybe it was because of her tipsy state, but you were surprised Mrs. Lovett took your admission of your crush on her upstairs neighbour better than you expected.
Your conversation then moved elsewhere and you were both so engrossed in it that neither of you heard the quiet footsteps leading to the shop. Sweeney's brows rose a little as he opened the door to a peculiar sight. The two people he had allowed closer to himself than anyone else since his return to London were sitting huddled at a table, which wouldn't have been that unusual, if it wasn't for the nearly empty bottle of old and undoubtedly strong wine. Both of your glasses were somewhat filled, the precious liquid spilled here and there in small amounts on the table. If Sweeney wasn't such a gentleman, despite his cold and often ruthless heart, he would say you were drunk. And not just a little bit.
Announcing his presence with a gruff cough, both your and Mrs. Lovett's heads snapped around to face him and he fought the small smirk that grew on his face at the sight. "Mr. Todd! We haven't even noticed you were here!" Minnie quickly addressed him with her signature friendliness. You stayed silent, instead opting to just admire the way Mr. Todd looked in the dim lighting in the shop. You felt you were seeing him completely differently than the other nights you spent there. His eyes reflected the light, making them look even more mysterious and alluring than usual and his normally pale face seemed more livelier. You would have spoken up, offered him some wine, but suddenly, being brought out so suddenly from your conversation with Minnie, your tongue felt big in your mouth, the weight of lead and you just did not have the energy to move it. Or open your mouth for that matter. Somewhere in the back of your mind crossed a thought that maybe you have had a bit too much to drink.
"It is quite late, I am surprised to catch you awake." Mr. Todd pointed out in a neutral tone, despite the playful mirth he was feeling. "Oh but the same could be said about you, Mr. Todd." Mrs. Lovett retaliated cheekily "Besides, we have a good reason to drink into the night! It is my friend's birthday, after all." she announced with an air of pride. You blinked at her a few times, not knowing where she had gotten that information from, because you were pretty sure today was not your birthday at all. Perhaps Minnie has forgotten the reason you were celebrating altogether and her drunken mind just made up a reason on the spot. As you were pondering when actually was your birthday, Mr. Todd spoke up again "Is that so? Well in that case-" and in a few strides he was at yours and Mrs. Lovett's table. He grabbed her half full glass of wine and before you could start wondering if it wasn't half empty, he raised it, grabbing your hand. "Happy birthday." he smiled slightly while you stood up, because you were being congratulated and you didn't want to appear rude, even though there wasn't actually a reason to congratulate you. Mr. Todd downed his, previously Minnie's, glass in one gulp before setting it down again.
Turning to Mrs. Lovett, he addressed her "I need to discuss something with you." he then turned his attention towards you "But it seems there is a more pressing matter at hand." he smirked as he gave you a once over. You felt your cheeks flush, knowing he was right. Standing up was the last straw before your alcohol fueled downfall. You were barely standing, your body swaying side to side slightly to keep itself balanced. Mrs. Lovett studied you for a while as well, before standing, with only a slightly lesser difficulty than you. "Oh I'm so sorry, dear, it seems that I have gone overboard with the drinks." she apologised and you couldn't help but smile softly at her sad tone. "'S alright, Minnie. 'M not mad." you shook your head with a small smile "I best be off though..." mumbling to yourself, you bid your friend a goodnight, not really paying attention to Sweeney, assuming he was waiting for you to leave so that he could discuss whatever it was with his neighbour.
Stumbling away from the table, you were surprised when a hand gripped your upper arm, supporting your weight and grounding your otherwise spinning world. Tracing the arm the hand was attached to with your eyes, you found Sweeney's already looking at your face. You said nothing, in the case that he only supported you in your struggle to weave through the tables in the shop, but as he continued to lead you out of the old building, Mrs. Lovett having gone in the back already, you were confused by this act of chivalry. Not that you took Mr. Todd for a brute, you just didn't expect such a gesture aimed at...yourself. The fact that this was also the first time he has touched you in any way while not necessarily needing so, unlike when he gave you your haircut, did not help your inebriated mind from running wild with conspiracies.
The crisp night air helped clear your head a little bit and you gulped it greedily with deep breaths when you walked out, arm in hand, with the barber. He stood, patiently, right next to you, his secure, but not tight grip on your arm never faltering. If he noticed how you took your sweet time collecting yourself, he didn't mention it, his eyes instead trained on the silver moon hanging in the sky like a lamp, blurred slightly by the infamous London fog. When he sensed you move more into the street, however, he tugged you back towards him slightly, as if he could not let you stray far.
"Where are you going?" he asked, his tone devoid of emotion and yet his eyes shone in a particular way that you couldn't exactly put a finger on in your state. The smirk that once rested on his handsome face was gone and you were perhaps more confused than before. "Home?" you half answered, half asked, unsure of what was the problem. Mr. Todd shook his head sternly "I cannot send you home alone at this time of day and retain a sound mind." he said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. You couldn't help but laugh at his statement. Where were you supposed to sleep then? Inside the shop? Sliding your arm out of his grip, you grabbed your stomach, your laughter gaining in volume, making you double over. "Oh, you're funny, Mr. Todd!" you wheezed, not caring the man you were addressing was looking at your drunken self with a completely neutral expression, not understanding in the slightest what was so funny "I have to go home! Where else would you have me spend the night?" you asked when you caught your breath, your laughter simmering down into tired giggles. Drunk laughing was hard, but really fun at the same time, you thought.
Sweeney reached out to take your arm again, turning you around to face the stairs like a puppet and started leading you to his home. "You can spend the night upstairs. If I sent you home, alone, you're sure to get robbed...or worse." his voice was cold and harsh and yet you had the sense this sudden change of tone was not due to anything you said. Not taking any chances, just in case, you kept your mouth shut and let him lead you up the stairs while you could feel your face heat up. It felt awfully wrong to just...invade his space like that. If there's one thing you learned about Sweeney, and let's be honest, there weren't many to choose from, it was that he was a very private person. At the same time, he invited you here. If he didn't want you in his space, he could've just let you stay downstairs with Minnie, she would take good enough care of you without a doubt. But what did all this mean?
You said nothing else as you let the barber move you along, much like a puppet, while trying to focus on every confusing thought and feeling that ran through your head. But your energy was quickly dwindling and you couldn't help but to succumb to sleep as soon as our head hit the pillow.
Regaining consciousness again was...unpleasant, to say the least. The first thing you registered was rain. Not very unusual for London though. The next thing was a piercing headache, that threatened to split your skull in two. Groaning, you flipped over in bed. That's when you noticed the smell. This didn't smell like your sheets... Slowly, but surely, the events of the previous night came back to you, even the less than appropriate ending of it. Blinking open your eyes, you let yourself get adjusted to the lighting of the room, before taking a look around. You were, in fact, in Mr. Todd's small abode and you were very probably in his bed too. You could feel heat creeping up your neck as you registered the all too familiar objects of the barber shop, now from a brand new perspective. There was the barber chair, as ominous as ever, the normal chair to the side, where you usually sat, now occupied by the master of the house.
Polishing and sharpening his blades, Sweeney sat by the window, seemingly uninterested and unbothered by basically a stranger waking up in his bed. His unwavering focus was only on his blades, a focus so intense it would send shivers down your spine, if you weren't so engrossed in your own embarrassment. Only when you began to sit up, your arms threatening to give out underneath you, did the barber tear his gaze away from his tools. You tried to get up to your feet as quickly as you could, manners all but forgotten, your only desire was to get out and never return to Mr. Todd's barber shop or Mrs. Lovett's meat pie establishment ever again. But your knees were wobbly and you felt in your body like a newborn fawn, so your quick escape proved to be harder than you thought.
Sweeney looked at you inquisitively and it seemed like he wanted to say something, but you beat him to it, the thought of anything he could and probably would have said making bile rise in your throat. Fighting the nausea, you pushed yourself off the bed and lightly stumbled before standing in front of the barber. "I am so sorry for what transpired yesterday, Mr. Todd." you apologised first and foremost after clearing your throat "You should not have had to witness any of that." looking awkwardly to the side, you continued "However I am very grateful for everything you have done for me yesterday." And with those last words, you bee lined it for the door, only briefly noticing the 'closed' sign on the door that should have been turned around probably hours ago. It wasn't until you were in the middle of the journey home that you realised you didn't even know what time it was, nor did you at least have the decency to make up the bed after you have slept in it. Which brought forth a question...Where did Mr. Todd sleep? There didn't seem to be another sleeping area nor any kind of furniture suitable for such activity in his living/working quarters. You weren't sure what made you blush more, the possibility that you shared a bed or the possibility that he stayed awake somewhere in the same space as you were the whole night. Both seemed strangely...intimate.
For the next few weeks, you avoided Fleet street like the plague. Luckily for you, your boss wasn't in need of a trim anytime soon, even though you did convince him to visit the barber's more than he did previously. But whenever you thought about the mysterious gentleman residing above the pie shop, hot embarrassment flowed through your body like lightning. And so you didn't remind your boss to upkeep his appearance and as usual, the big oaf wouldn't think of such thing himself. He had money, so what if he looked a bit disheveled? Everybody was saving up on everything they could, the rich and poor alike.
Mrs. Lovett was especially vocal about your absence. She worried that she really did offend you or did you wrong somehow during that a bit too wild night. Whenever Sweeney would appear in the shop to fetch his meal, she would bombard him with questions, if he had any news of you, your whereabouts, your wellbeing, or whether your boss' appointment was coming up anytime soon. She regretted now never asking for your address, with how much she'd come to like you in the time you've spent together. You brought a normalcy to her life that she's dreamed of oh so much.
And while Sweeney wasn't pretty much vocal at all towards your sudden absence, when he closed down for the day and looked out of his window, overlooking the grey London sky and dark and gloomy rooftops, he wondered where you could possibly be. What were you doing? Were you alright?
You had came into the vengeful barber's life unexpectedly and while at first Minnie's obsession with you irritated him, making his goals, his work, that much more dangerous, he couldn't help but notice your good nature. Not only towards his neighbour, even though with how strange the woman could be it was surprising in itself, but towards him, even towards your boss. It wasn't that you were naive, no, he could see in your eyes that you knew exactly how cruel and unjust this world was, and yet you still chose to be kind. Despite all the hardships he knew you were dealt by destiny, no, by other people, the biggest monsters on this earth, you still remained with your heart open to others. And he admired that. Your presence on Fleet street was like a beacon of clean light in the constant grey fog, when he sometimes glanced at the street below him and you happened to be there, he always recognized you, as if you shone more brightly than others.
The lonely man spent many a night pondering on what was it that made you occupy his mind so much, what made you so special. He still loved his wife, and his daughter, wherever she may be, that much he knew. But sometimes...sometimes when he looked at you, your face, as you were laughing with Mrs. Lovett about this or that, he could see her smile. And it was so reassuring, as if Lucy herself was sending her mark upon you, signaling to him that you were someone he needed to protect. And when he came to terms with this revelation, he swore to himself that that was exactly what he was going to do.
So of course it was no problem for him to let you spend a night in his bed. He found your drunken antics and your embarrassment the next morning quite endearing. If you would've paid more attention to him and your surroundings that morning, you would've noticed the small smirk on his face as he watched you clumsily apologize, even though he saw no reason for it. And you would've noticed the two cups of coffee, along with some painkillers standing prepared on the table near the bed. But Sweeney didn't think his actions would've driven you away from him and Mrs. Lovett like that. He knew there was nothing that he could do except wait for you to come back, although he didn't like the idea of something happening to you without him knowing it, being able to prevent it. And he didn't even want to think about the scenario that you would never be back. He saw the way you looked at him, studied him, the confusion in your eyes from the way he behaved so often and now he wanted nothing more than to tell you everything and sort things out. Even if he wasn't sure how exactly to do that. Benjamin was good with words, but Sweeney? Sweeney was all about action, because unlike Benjamin, Sweeney Todd knew just how little weight words could hold in the world.
It didn't take long for you to start missing Fleet street, with your two favourite residents, Mrs. Lovett and Mr. Todd. You contemplated when should you pay them a visit and how you would explain your avoidance of them, until after one night, when that became irrelevant.
It happened in the evening. You were let go from work for the day and while you were on your way home, thinking mostly about whether you had any leftovers from yesterday or if you had to cook dinner from scratch and not paying much attention to your surroundings, when you were jumped. Two men, none of which you knew, cornered you against a wall of a building along which you were walking, asking for some money. You, not wanting any more trouble than necessary, pulled out your pouch, where you kept all the change you needed, but it wasn't enough for whatever they were planning. With two figures towering at least a good head above from you, demanding you do what they say, you didn't dare look them directly in their faces, so you knew little of what they looked like. But they smelled awful and faintly of fish. When they asked to show them what more you had in your bag, yo asked them to leave you be, that you've already given them everything important you had on you. That proved to be a mistake, since one of them grabbed you roughly by the arms from behind, while the other ripped your bag from your hands and turned it upside down. You struggled to get away from the bastard's bruising grip and started calling out for help, which was another mistake. The guy that was going through your things, most of which were only daily necessities, such as your keys and whatnot, suddenly sprung up and hit you in the face, gruffly telling you to shut up, if you valued your life. It was at that point you noticed his voice was slightly slurred.
Luckily, an officer must've been patrolling nearby, or someone must've taken pity on you and called him over, it wasn't that late in the evening after all, because as soon as you heard the distinct sound of a bobby whistle, the first guy let you go while the second one hastily grabbed your notebook and both of them booked it down the street, weaving through the city's intricate alleyways. The officer quickly asked what happened and told you to stay put while he chased after them. But it wasn't even five minutes before he was back, informing you that he lost them and he asked you to accompany him to the police station to give a statement on what happened and they would see what could be done.
The next day, you showed up to work with a nasty looking black eye, without your notebook or a single penny. The police officers told you that with the limited description you provided they weren't sure how much could be done. After telling your boss what happened, he surprisingly took the matter quite seriously. Not only did you write down ever single appointment he needed to attend to in your notebook, but some quite serious and important information, codes to safes, finance tracking, different information having to do with sales and so on. He asked what police station you went to yesterday and said he would get in touch with the officers, since it wasn't impossible that the attack wasn't planned ahead and the notebook was exactly what someone was after. You didn't need or want to know anything more than that. Your boss also gave you two weeks off, to let your eye heal, commenting how it would seem weird if you accompanied him looking like that and he didn't need any more rumors being spread about him, like physically abusing his personnel. He gave you your money back, saying it was going from your next paycheck until the police got your original money back, plus some more to buy a new notebook. As incompetent as he could sometimes be, he was still a businessman, and even though his motivation for these choices was questionable, you were still glad he made them.
As soon as you were outside again, your legs immediately took you in the direction of Fleet street. Still quite shaken up after the incident, the thing you needed the most at that moment was a friend and something told you Minnie would not turn you down.
And you were not mistaken. As you took a step inside the pie shop, Mrs. Lovett's arms were around you, her worried and apologetic rambling reaching your ears as soon as they got used to the buzz of the busy establishment. As soon as the woman pulled away from you, her relieved expression turned to one of shock as she carefully cradled your cheek where the bruise was, asking "What in god's name happened?" Immediately she brought you to the back of the shop and fetched the cleanest rag, which was then promptly soaked in cold water, so that you could relieve some of the ache of the black eye. And she had you remain there until closing, spending her time between serving customers and preparing pies chatting with you. She informed you that she wasn't mad about your sudden disappearance, that she was just very worried and then she promptly asked you your address "In case you want to pull something on me like that again." she reasoned with a cheeky smile.
After Minnie closed down in the evening, you both could sit uninterrupted in the main area, with the businesswoman cleaning up here and there and re-wetting your rag. Anytime you tried to offer her help as a thank you, she would just sternly order you to sit back down and not even think about work, since you've been given 'a sick leave'. Just as she was done with cleaning and was about to head out to get rid of the dirty water, a person you were still dreading to meet walked into the room. You immediately knew who it was by the way Mrs. Lovett's eyes brightened, her face blooming into one of sweet happiness as she cooed out a greeting "Oh, Mr. Todd! Look who decided to join us today! Poor thing got mugged yesterday, can you believe it?" she shook her head, carrying her bucket out the door "So nice of you to join us, there are some pies hidden in the oven in the back for you!" she called behind her as the door clicked close after her.
There was nothing for you to do but turn around, your face heating up again, only praying Mr. Todd wouldn't pay attention to it. But to your slight surprise, he only stared intently at the black eye adorning your face, like a joke of a monocle the more posh men liked to wear when out and about. With a few quick strides, the barber was next to you, his hand under your chin, tipping your head upwards, so he could assess your wound better under the light. His face was contorted into a frown, but his eyes were nothing but gentle as he murmured "Who did this to you?" His voice was ice cold, but somehow you knew you didn't need to be scared. "I don't know." you whispered "The police are after them now." You both said nothing as you only continued to study each other.
When the sound of a door being opened could be heard, Sweeney gently let go of your chin and took a step back from you, but not quite leaving your side. Mrs. Lovett trotted happily back into the room, taking the seat across from you and looking up at her neighbour, she patted the chair beside hers. Not waiting for him to comply, which was good, because Sweeney did not move an inch from where he stood, she asked you, her expression concerned "Darling, do you think it'll be okay for you to walk home alone at this hour?"
Looking out of the window, you saw the street was getting dark. It would not take much more time for night to completely settle over the city. You felt so safe and comfortable, that you completely forgot about the passage of time. Surely there will be little to no people out at this hour. And those who will be outside roaming the streets are definitely not the kind of people you want to associate yourself with. And while you had no problem walking on the bring of darkness alone before, after yesterday's events, you couldn't help the cold shiver that ran down your back at the thought of the many alleyways you'd have to pass before getting home.
Seeing your hesitance, Mrs. Lovett placed her hand softly on yours "It's alright, love. You can stay here for the night! I'm sure there's plenty of room for one more person in the house." her smile was so reassuring, you couldn't help your own taking over your face. But you shook your head "As much as I appreciate your offer, I have to go home. The officers might need me for more questionings, it's best I don't stay out of the house too long." you explained with a small smile and got up from your chair. Surprisingly, it was Sweeney who spoke next "I'll walk you home. If you wouldn't mind, that is." he offered, his eyes flickering between your face and the table during the latter part. "Oh, Mr. Todd! Such a gentleman!" Minnie squealed adoringly, standing up as well "Trust me, love, with Mr. Todd, you're in good hands." something about the way she looked at the barber when she said that made you feel strange, but you had no reason not to believe her or the quiet man standing beside you. So you nodded and looked towards the window again "Best we head off though, I wouldn't want you to have to return when it's completely dark." you muttered, more to yourself and then looked at your companion for confirmation. The dangerous glint you caught flashing through his eyes made you shiver again, but you ignored it.
After hugging Mrs. Lovett goodbye, you were on your way. The first few minutes passed in complete silence, you had no idea what to say and Mr. Todd wasn't one for many words. Sighing, you decide to be the one to break the ice "I...I'm sorry, once again, Mr. Todd. For running out on you like that. You've done so much for me and I repaid you horribly." your gaze was set on the stone path as you apologised. For a while, the barber said nothing, which did not help your nerves at all. "Sweeney." That was the only thing he said. You whipped your head around to look at him, your mouth hanging agape in confusion. "I'm sorry?" Sweeney then looked at you, a single chuckle escaping his chest through his smirking lips. In the dim night lights of the London street, he looked possibly more attractive than ever before. "My name. I feel like we don't have to keep up such formalities, since you've spent a night in my bed already."
You couldn't look him in the eyes anymore, your face heating up. "You make it sound like something much more serious." you pouted. He chuckled again. This was the most you've heard him talk or just express himself in any way since you've known him. "And it wasn't? I don't let just anyone into my bed, you know." It was clear as day he was enjoying this. But his words held an underlying meaning, one which was much more deeper than the lighthearted teasing. Sweeney slowed into a stop and you followed suit beside him. The last street lamp was now behind him, leaving his face covered mostly in shadows. And yet you could see his eyes, vulnerable in a way he probably hasn't been in a long, long time, you could feel his intense gaze on your face, studying your every small reaction. "What are you saying?" you breathed out, your heart in your throat. Sweeney took a step closer "What I'm saying is that you've grown to be quite important to me. After that night..." he stopped, searching for the right words to continue "I realised many things. And I've realised...that I want to keep you close. To protect you. To know you and to allow myself to be known by you. If you'll let me, that is." and he slowly reached for your hand, holding it in both of his oh so gently. "Do you deem me worthy of knowing your heart? Your soul?"
You could feel your breath hitch in your throat as you were overwhelmed by sudden conflicting emotions. But the one that stood out from all of them was... "As long as you'll deem me worthy of knowing yours." you replied in almost a whisper. And with those words, that one sentence, it was as if the tension in the air disappeared all at once. Sweeney stood beside you once more, this time offering you his arm to take and after you've linked your arm through his, he continued to escort you home. Not just as an acquaintance, not as a friend...but perhaps not yet as a lover. But there was time for all of that. Right now, there was the chilly London night air, you and him. And you could figure out the details, such as breaking the news to Minnie, or discovering why exactly there was a trapdoor behind the barber chair, some other time. Tonight was just for you.

just ask. {A.S.}
juuuuust thinking about (modern!)anakin being your boy bsf (and roommate) catching you coming home from a verrrry disappointing dick appointment
part two
warnings: MINORS DNI 18+, suggestive, possibly ooc ani, fem reader
it was 1 am, you fully expected Anakin to be asleep, doing this 'walk of shame' in front of him would be exactly that... shameful. you has just had one of the WORST hookups of your life with some dude you met off tinder a couple of days ago, he was alllll talk. the definition of 'sounds to good to be true'
he didn't know ANYTHING about the female anatomy, like seriously, he basically dry humped you and rolled over. lame.
you unlocked the door of your shared apartment, opening and closing the door as quietly as possible, as not to wake Anakin. to your surprise he came walking into the living room with a mug in his hand. he was in his usual pajamas, blue and black plaid sweatpants and topless. you tried not to stare but your gazes always seem to linger when it comes to Anakin. "Hey! Thought you'd be home tomorrow?" he tilted his head in that adorably innocent way he always does. his mannerisms never matched his face, or body for that matter.
"Ah noo" you chuckle and cast your gaze downward. "Oh? Your date didn't go well?" he asked again this time raising his eyebrows with the word 'date'. he might look and sometimes act innocent but Anakin was far from it, he knew what your intentions were for the night. "Ugh, not at all." you roll your eyes and set your bag down by the door. "This dude was soooo lame." you whine.
"Aw, poor thing" Anakin says in a joking tone. "C'mere, I made some tea" he offers. "Since when do you drink tea?" you laugh "I like to pamper myself from time to time!" he said feigning offense, clasping his hand over his heart in a classically Anakin fashion.
"Tell me what happened." he sits in the bar stool at the kitchen island after handing you a cup of tea. "Ani, I don't know, it's embarrassing." your face turns pink. "Please I know about the thing you did in middle school. I think I can handle this" he laugh at you cringing from that horrid memory from your pre-teen years. "Oh you know you can't bring that up all willy-nilly Anakin!" you swat at him. his beautiful laughter filled the air
"Okay so I was going to hook up with this guy-" you start. "Shocker." Anakin smirks, interrupting you "one, rude. two, shut up. three, anyyywayys, I was going to go hook up with him and it sounded sooo promising because, damn can he talk himself up. He was so good with his words! And we get down to it and dude lasts like, two minuets! Anakin, I wish I was joking.." you bury your head in your hands out of frustration (mostly sexual). "That's the third guy this month! Like can men just be honest if they're mediocre at sex?!"
Anakin chuckles. "Blows my mind that there are guys out there who're putting up false advertisements for dick." you toss your head back and laugh "false advertisements is CRAZY" you laugh harder and Anakin joins you. "Did I lie?!" he jokes again, earning another laugh from you. "You got a point" you agree with him.
"Seriously though, that's a shame. I'd never lie like that." he takes another sip of his tea. Your mind starts swirling with questions. 'what does he mean by that?' 'I wonder what he's like in bed?' 'he has to be huge, right?' "Like honestly that's so fucked up." his voice breaks you out of your thoughts. "This sounds personal for you, what're you doing? Handing out trash dick or what?" you laugh. he chuckles again. "Hah, no. But if I was, I'd at least be honest about it."
your eyes widen but you regain composure quickly. "Oh? And what makes you so confident?" you smirk at him, wanting a rise out of him. "Well, I'm sure some of the girls weren't crying because I was dishing out bad dick." he smirks. "Wow you sure are cocky." you say with fake confidence hoping he wouldn't double down. your hopes were crushed when he stood up. he made his way behind you, placing both of his arms around you, resting his hands on the counter trapping you. he leaned close to your ear. "You know, you don't have to act out for me to prove it to you. You can just ask." his voice completely changed. you have never heard Anakin speak in such a low, sultry tone. you noticeably shivered.

Alrighty.. just putting this here for safekeeping and so maybe itâll be easier to explain. On Feb 17, 2024 my boyfriend at the time woke up around 9:30 am to me having a seizure. He took me to a research hospital in the area and we got to the ED around 11 am. They did a CT and an MRI and have found what they called a 4 cm tumor in my right frontal lobe. I had another MRI in the middle of March and got more measurements on the size of the tumor. Based on the measurements, I did the math and found it was 119 cubic cm (about the size of a billiards ball). I had a right frontal craniotomy on April 1, 2024. They were able to remove the entire tumor and my MRI the evening after surgery showed no residual tumor. Iâve met with an oncologist and we waited for pathology results. Pathology came back as a Grade 3 Astrocytoma with the IDH1 mutation. I have started 500 mg of Tibsovo daily to keep it from growing back, or at least slow it down. There isnât a cure for brain tumors, so we just wait for it to come back and do surgery again. If youâve read this far into my real life shit, I appreciate any well wishes, thoughts, and prayers if youâre religious. I try to keep my spirits up and handle things rationally but some days that is a little more difficult. Iâm stuck on antiseizure medication for at least a year from my latest seizure (luckily itâs still just the seizure in Feb 2024) and cannot drive per my stateâs laws for a year from the last seizure as well.
Luckily my job has been flexible with me since February but trying to get back to full time hours is a struggle, especially if I want to take care of myself as well (bathing, eating, cleaning, etc). Also, lots of back and forth with insurance companies and the hospital and lots of scans and follow up appointments.
6 month MRI was clean. âNo progressionâ and âstable burden of diseaseâ. Joint pain has been mostly managed with new meds.
I moved in with my âfriendsâ who turned into girlfriend, fiancĂ©e, and wife very quickly (we had a hand fasting ceremony Oct 6, 2024) and her husband became my boyfriend as well. Being in a functional throuple is new to them, so there have been some hiccups but everything is looking up. đ
9 month post op MRI came back with no suspicious activity to suggest disease progression or recurrence, so thatâs a win! Iâm almost able to legally drive in Arkansas again (very stupid seizure law here). The wifeyâs husband and I are not pursuing a relationship right now to keep our household as stable as possible, but I think itâs for the best long term âșïž
Well folks! We made it to a year. MRI was also exactly the same as January so we are graduated to 4 months until my next MRI! Itâs been one hell of a year since having literal brain surgery, but we made it. My wife, her hubby and their toddler moved a few states away to their other house, so itâs been just my cat, two of her kittens, and me in the houseâŠ. But thatâs not lasting for long because my daddy is moving here!!

Hurt - Lip Gallagher pt2
Part 1
It had been a month since I had last seen Lip Gallagher. A month of ignoring his knocks at my door, his muffled pleads to talk. A month of successfully avoiding him despite the weight of our history pressing against my chest every single day.
I didnât know how he had found my new apartment, but I had my suspicions. Maybe Ian. Maybe V and Kev. They had been the ones taking care of me, bringing me home-cooked meals, making sure I was eating enough, driving me to my doctorâs appointments. They had filled in the spaces Lip should have been in, and I let them.
And then, one night, everything changed.
It was 2 AM when I woke up to the sensation of something wrong. At first, it was just a dull ache in my abdomen, something I could ignore, but then I shifted in bed and felt the dampness between my thighs. My breath hitched. I threw the covers off, my hands trembling as I reached down. Blood.
My heart pounded as panic set in. No, no, no.
I scrambled for my phone, my fingers barely able to press the buttons as I tried to call Lip. He didnât pick up. I tried again. And again. Voicemail. I sent a text: Lip, please pick up. Somethingâs wrong. Nothing.
I wanted to call V and Kev, but I couldnât. They had done so much for me already. And Ian and Mickey? They were at a hotel, finally taking some time for themselves. I had no one else to call.
So I called Lip again.
Tammyâs POV
Tammy stirred in her makeshift bed on the couch before quietly getting up. Lip had refused to let her share his bed, not that it stopped her from trying. When she passed by his room, she noticed the faint glow of his phone screen. Curiosity got the best of her.
She slipped inside, picking up the device and unlocking it. Her eyes flickered over the notifications. Missed calls: Y/N (8). Text messages: Y/N (4).
Her lips pressed into a thin line. Then another message appeared on the screen: Ian: Weâre taking Y/N to the hospital. Somethingâs wrong.
Her pulse quickened. Deleting the message, she turned off the phone, setting it back on the table exactly as it was. Then, an idea struck her.
If they came here looking for Lip, theyâd wake him up. So she needed a distraction.
Slipping back into the living room, she picked up Fred, shaking him just enough for him to stir. Then, she forced tears to spill from her eyes before rushing into Lipâs room.
âLip! Lip, wake up!â she cried, shaking him hard.
He shot up, instantly alert. âWhat? Whatâs wrong?â
âItâs Fred. Somethingâs wrong. I think we need to take him to the hospital.â
Lipâs panic was immediate, his exhaustion vanishing as he rushed to check on his son. Tammy pretended to sniffle, watching as he scooped Fred into his arms.
âIâll call Ian, tell him to meet us there,â Lip muttered, reaching for his phoneâonly to find it powered off. Tammyâs stomach twisted, but she forced herself to stay calm.
âIâd rather go to County,â she said quickly, mentioning a different hospital than the one Ian had texted about. âItâs closer.â
Lip hesitated, but then nodded, too focused on Fred to argue.
And just like that, she had bought herself more time.
Readerâs POV
My hands trembled as I called Ian. He answered immediately.
âY/N? Whatâs wrong?â
âIâI donât know,â I stammered. âI woke up and thereâs blood, and Iââ
âWhere are you?â Ianâs tone sharpened, the concern in his voice breaking something in me.
âMy apartment,â I whispered.
âWeâre coming. Just stay where you are, okay?â
I nodded, even though he couldnât see me, my body curling in on itself as I struggled to stay calm. Within minutes, Ian and Mickey were at my side, helping me into their car and rushing me to the hospital.
They kept trying to call Lip, but there was no answer.
The hospital smelled sterile, too clean, too bright. I lay on the exam bed, staring at the ceiling, my body still shaking. Ian sat beside me, his hand gripping mine, while Mickey paced the room like a caged animal.
âThe baby is okay,â the doctor finally said, her voice soft. Relief flooded my system, but it was short-lived. âHowever, there are some complications. You need to be extremely careful moving forward. Any more stress, any wrong move, and it could become life-threatening.â
I nodded numbly, barely able to process it. Ian and Mickey didnât take the news as well.
âWeâre moving in,â Mickey announced.
âI donât needââ
âYou do,â Ian cut me off. âThis isnât a debate.â
I exhaled, rubbing my face. âYou two need time together.â
âWeâll have time,â Ian reassured me. âRight now, you and that baby come first.â
I didnât argue further.
Lipâs POV
The nurse smiled as she handed Fred back. âHeâs perfectly healthy, nothing to worry about.â
Lip let out a deep breath. âThanks.â
As he settled Fred into his car seat, he reached for his phone, frowning when he realized it was off. He powered it back on, waiting for it to load, and the second it didâ
Missed calls. Texts. Ian. Y/N. Panic swelled in his chest.
âWhat the hell?â he muttered, immediately calling Ian.
Readerâs POV
I lay in bed, exhausted, barely registering Mickeyâs fingers stroking my hair. Ian was in the living room, on the phone with someone.
I didnât need to ask who.
Within ten minutes, a knock rattled my door. Mickey sighed, muttering, âHere we go,â as Ian opened it.
And then Lip was there, shoving past Ian, his breathing erratic, his eyes wild.
He pushed open my bedroom door, his gaze landing on me, and for the first time in a month, I saw something other than guilt in his eyes.
Pure, unfiltered fear.
âY/N.â His voice cracked.
I just stared at him, exhaustion pressing against me.
Lip moved closer, reaching out like he wanted to touch me but stopped himself. âWhy didnât youââ He swallowed hard. âWhy didnât you keep calling?â
I just laughed weakly. âI did.â
His face twisted, pain flickering across his features. âI didnât seeâmy phoneââ
âDoesnât matter,â I whispered.
âYes, it does,â he shot back. âYou couldâveââ He sucked in a sharp breath. âI couldâve lost you. Both of you.â
Silence stretched between us. Then, finally, he exhaled, running a hand down his face.
âIâm not leaving,â he said, firm. âNot this time.â
Mickey snorted. âGuess weâre all moving in then.â
Lip ignored him, his eyes locked onto mine, waiting for my response.
And despite everything, despite the pain, the anger, and the months of silence⊠I knew one thing for sure.
I was too tired to fight him anymore.

My Little Saesang (Part 1)
chubby reader x idol jungkook
Summary: Y/N had been a super fan for a while. Some would say bordering on saesang or creep level. She didn't think she was one, till she experienced an incident that made her stop being a fan. She had never thought that Jungkook or any of BTS ever noticed her, as she was part of the masses of obsessive fans. But they had. Especially, one doe eyed idol in particular. He never thought he would miss his fan, or shall we say saesang. Yet, he couldn't help but notice her absence. And he didn't know when her presence started to matter to him so much.
Disclaimer: The Jungkook represented in this fic does not reflect the true actions or thoughts of the real life Jungkook. Please treat this fic as exactly what it is, fiction

"Y/N, what the hell are you still doing in that cafe? Didn't we come over here to spy on Jungkook at his house before he heads off to M-CountDown for his performance? I don't remember scheduling a pit-stop for you to have a second lunch", Kim-Hee glared down at me through her thick framed black glasses that honestly sort of made her look like a sexy principal. Anger at being diverted from her goal of catching the tan pop-star in his sweaty excellence seemed to cloud her vision.
I retorted back with a snort, "You know me very well at this point, after being my fellow saesang comrade in arms for close to 2 years girl. I am digesting my food baby as we speak and will soon be ready for delivery in that nasty garbage ass smelling toilet. I have a date with the shits, so to speak. Don't you see that my jeans are popped open and the zip down ready to go. I don't got the energy to chase this man today. Our stunt at New York was bad enough, don't you think"? Shaking my head at her idiocy even after knowing me for so long, I exclaimed, "Feel free to chase him in time for his ending fairy if you feel like it though. I am just not feeling it today".
Kim Hee, my bestie, stared at me with squinted eyes, black tiny eyes glittering in the harsh sun, "Girl, you were the one who had this all scheduled out a month back? How could you not bloody commit at the crucial time!!!! Our fucking junior fans are counting on your stupid ass". I waved my right at her in dismissal, ramen sauce covering my lips like a new Fenty lipstick that I just could not afford right now with my measly ass job as janitor at KBS.
I snarled back in irritation, "Tell those kids to go and study in college, that's more important than following his dumb ass anyways. He won't remember them for their troubles. At max, he will remember a few fans from their initial debut days , get married to a rich ass plasticky actress, have beautiful spoiled kids, and die a rich philanthropist. Saesangs don't get paid if you catch my point. Honestly, if it paid as a job, I would consider it. But I think I may have to retire". I patted my distended stomach in contentment, satisfied with the first proper meal I had in 3 days, stalking JK with my team all over New York and then catching a flight to Korea for his album showcase.
My bestie stared at me now in shock, with wide eyes, hands waving in the air, clearly confused at my statements, "Didn't you just say a week ago that this was all worth it? That supporting our faves, especially BTS, and the lord and savior himself , Jungkook, was a noble passion to pursue? Why have you suddenly done a 180 on us and him like this"? I flinched visibly at her reminder of what I used to be and who I used to be. The person she described felt foreign to me now. Ever since I opened my eyes and saw what fans, especially super fans like us, who didn't have a life outside of BTS suffered, I was a reformed woman. A reformed woman who had decided as of now to save all my money for some botox and a dental appointment, some clothes for mom and dad, and a hot meal for my younger sister. I was going to go from being a crysallis to a butterfly. In essence, I was going to woman the fuck up. That's what the fuck I was about to do with my life.
With this aim in mind, I slammed my fist against the plastic table, startling Kim Hee. "Bestie, you never got close enough to JK to see how much he hated it, okay? He hated us in those moments that we invaded his privacy. Remember that one time I snuck up on the set of them filming "Black Swan" to give him a godiva chocolate my mom had brought back from Sweden?" Kim Hee nodded in assent, clearly knowing how much of big deal it was for me to part with food of any kind, for any reason, for anyone (Even my own family). I loved luxury chocolate and food in general. Nobody could rip it out of my hands , as evidenced by Kim Hee and all our friends in middle school when I slapped a guy stupid and hit him in the nuts for taking a ferrero rocher out of my hands---the motherfucker.
I continued ,"Well I gave it to his hands while he was waiting outside at the entrance of the set. Even normies like me are allowed on that area, it was not a restricted filming area. I just left the chocolate next to where he was sitting, with a red bow (his name engraved on it) wrapped around it. He legit stared at me in confusion, like he had not seen me for the past 9 years, sneered at me, disdain in his beady black eyes and threw the chocolate in the dustbin like it was as figment of his imagination". Kim Hee stared at me in dismay, clearly knowing that what I considered the foremost cardinal sin in life was throwing away food, particularly expensive food.
I wrung my hands in the air, holding in my tears, "Bestie, it was white chocolate, do you understand? It was limited christmas edition. I could never afford that chocolate in my dreams , if not for one of mom's colleagues gifting it to her. Chili ,(my sister) was yapping about it for days, salivating, thinking she could bite into it. And I sacrificed it to an undeserving multi millionaire". I sat back down on the bench, numbly, tears streaming down my face. I was so done with him and the entire group at this point. I understand that what we do, Saesangs, stalkers, whatever they like to call us, is not correct. We should not be so invasive. But I always told the kids who followed in my footsteps that we could support them, but just not to the point that we impinged on their personal lives. I had done some fucked up things as a newbie army, but two years into their debut, I understood that limits were required.
The most I had ever done since then, was to gift the members things as a fan. Whatever I could afford. Whether that was their favorite convenience store snack left by us on the set of one of their music video shoots. Or a pack of gum or their favorite desserts when we attended fan meets. I and the girls who followed me on these adventures, as I used to call them, never snuck into HYBE. We were of the more benign variety, not on par with the crazies who took the same flight as them (not that I could afford that), or collected saliva, sweat, and urine samples. For goodness sakes, we didn't even run after their vehicles, we just waved politely and jumped up and down like rabid dogs that had treats waved in their faces.
The moment I was compelled to stop following my fave, or I guess my former bias as of now, was simply when he casually looked at the chocolate I had left next to him as though it were poison, and tossed it in the trash without looking back. That was when I knew, I was worthless in his eyes, along with the rest of the fans who tried so hard.
We shelled out money saved up from little jobs and pocket money accumulated for months together, to buy expensive albums, merchandise, and anything else they put out. We forgo the little luxuries like nicer shoes and warmer coats in winter to buy tickets for outdoor showcases and shiver in the cold wind to just catch a glimpse of one of their half smiles. We stream their music that speaks of love that we do not comprehend, love whose face is so unfamiliar in our youth that we would pass it by as though it were a stranger. When we don't have anyone in our lives to hug us and hold us and kiss us, to wipe our tears and pat us on the back when we are down and to tell us that everything will be alright, we stare at them in the tabloids extrapolating who they could be in love with, fantasizing about a love that could never be ours. We live our lives, living for them, living around them as though we are satellites caught int he orbit of a bigger planet, and now, it does not make sense to me anymore.
It may just be a chocolate, stupid worthless and insignificant to him. It may be cheap, a show of cheap love that he wishes to spit on. But it wasn't cheap to me. My love wasn't cheap. Food isn't cheap, especially food bestowed with love. And I was done giving my love away for free, as though it meant nothing. As though it were a cheap cigarette to be smoked and discarded, ground under the foot of someone who had finished using it for a fleeting high. Cheap and dispensable and convenient, that's what we were, what I had become.
I cringed internally as my gaze redirected towards Kim Hee. I croaked out in determination while chewing on the remnants of soggy ramyun, "We are done babe. I am through with this horrible, parasitic relationship. I am going to figure out how to make myself rich or get rich through marriage. I am done being stupid, falling over myself for a guy or a group of guys who don't see or appreciate me. They get rich on my desperation, and I don't wish to give them that power anymore".

previous chapter
(chapter 1; when we feel each other up)
Got different people inside my head, I wonder which one that they like best, I'm done with tryna have it all, and ending up with not much at all
present time (21 and 23 years old);
There was a really ugly drawing framed and hanging on the wall at the doctor's office.
It was a house tilting to one side with three stick figurines whose shoes were far too big next to it with strokes of green thrown everywhere which you presume is supposed to be grass. It was drawn by crayons.
You presume it's an art piece made by the doctor's kid but you hope she realizes early on that her daughter or son doesn't really have a proclivity for the arts.
But then again, maybe they will later on. Maybe they'll stand out amongst their peers and be further encouraged by their parents. Maybe they'll even take private lessons to get better. Maybe they'll get into art school and have the professor praise them up on how their talent is extremely rare. Maybe they'll even win some awards.
And then, maybe someone will break their hand so badly that they never get to hold a brush again.
Alright, now you were just projecting.
But what else is there to do as you sit in the almost sterile office with your dad by your side as the doctor keeps going on and on with a somber expression on her face. You're sure Doctor Son is a nice lady, if you were paying attention you'd maybe notice that she tries to break the news extra gently but you're barely listening.
There's been a lot of "it was more serious than we first thought", "rehabilitation will be a long and steady process", "a new excellent physical therapist works at the sports center on campus so she'll be able to visit him a couple times a week, we've already made sure that he gives all of his attention to her" and the most gruesome one, "another even minor injury and there's a risk of her not being able to walk again."
You don't really have to be paying too much attention to know what the underlined thought is.
No more football.
The persistent ache in your left knee serves a constant reminder of what happened almost four months ago, it was the last game of the season. Little did you know it might be the last game of your measly career.
You refuse to look at your dad, feeling the sadness radiate off of him like it does every time he speaks to any of the doctors you've visited in the past four months.
And it's been a lot of doctors.
The fact that you spent the whole summer at home for the first time since you finished high school didn't help. All he did was coddle you and stare in pity and disappointment. Or try to be overly positive and enthusiastic about your recovery.
You didn't know which was worse.
After the final doctor's appointment before the start of the new semester which you leave with barely saying a word during the almost half an hour you're there, you and your dad get lunch at a dinner just off campus.
The thick holder containing scans, blood tests, surgery papers and whatnot, lies on the table between the two of you and you feel like nothing could cut through the thick silence.
Your dad, of course, tries.
"You can still have an amazing career in education, you know? Your mother was a teacher and she loved her job."
It's just sometimes, your father really doesn't know how to beat around the bush and in this moment, you wish he did.
"Right." Is all you say.
Neither one of you comments on what you both know. Which is that you didn't give a fuck about your major in education. Sure, you had passing grades but that is because you needed to study something to stay on the team and not because you were actually interested.
Football was always the bigger picture, the real goal.
"You can always switch majors?" He offers and you nod again, thanking the waiter when he brings two bowls of noodles to your table.Â
You don't want to say that switching majors in your third year of college seems like a complete waste, of both money and time.
He sighs and you know he's frustrated with you, you understand it as well but you can't control it. Talking about your career, now that your dream career is over and done with, is an extremely sore subject.
"You know what, you've been working so hard since before you even started college, you deserve to rest."
"I've been resting since May." You respond and he winces at the mention of May. When it all fell apart.
"That wasn't rest. It was recovery." You give him a bland look and he sighs again, "I'm just saying! Maybe you'll discover something else you like to do this semester."
"Doubtful." You murmur, the reality finally sinking in at least a little.
"It's not doubtful at all." Your dad scoffs, taking a slurp of his noodles. "You're twenty-one, your life just begun, I'm sure there are other things to do and new people to meet. You wouldn't know if you never even tried."
"Dad-"
"Get yourself a boyfriend. Go to parties. Find yourself some friends who aren't talking behind your back in the locker room-"
"They weren't my friends-"
"Live your life. Is my point. Don't be cooped up in your bedroom, refusing to see anyone like you were doing the whole summer. Just...try, at least." He is silently begging now and now, it's your time to sigh.
"Fine."
"Who knows...you might discover that football isn't all there is to life."
You go silent at that, embarrassed of your own thoughts on the matter so you just keep them to yourself.
-
You flip through the pages of the magazine that you've read front to back at least four times by now before throwing it on your bed.
Your dad left earlier this afternoon after you've settled into your dorm and since then you've just been lounging on your bed, trying to busy yourself with knick-knacks that you have lying around so the time could pass faster.
You adjust the ice pack on your knee a bit better and with a soft sigh, your eyes fall on your roommate.
Yunjin was sitting behind her desk that was pushed up right next to your identical one and was busy doing her makeup. Carefully applying a pretty shade to her eyelids as she moves her desk mirror to her liking.
She was getting ready to go to a party no doubt. It was the last Friday before the new semester after all and Yunjin was a frequent party goer from what you could tell in these years living together.
Yunjin and you have been roommates since freshman year and yet, you've barely spoken to each other. Always sticking to your sides of the generously sized dorm room, you guess it's because you don't have much in common with each other that you never tried to be friends.
You didn't know much about her if you were honest, just that she majored in political science, often dyed her hair and had a lot of friends. You were sort of the complete opposites from what you could tell.
But since she kept renewing her contract for the room with you every year, you think it's safe to assume that she at least doesn't mind you all too much.
Just...try, at least.
You clear your throat. Here you go...
"You, uh, you do your makeup really prettily." It's out of your mouth before you know it, you already feel awkward as it is but when your red haired roommate turns to you in surprise that maybe you even spoke in the first place - the awkwardness triples.
"Oh." Yunjin utters with raised brows before a tiny, careful smile settles on her face. "Thank you."
So...now what?
You both stare at each other for a long hard second and you hesitate, thinking it's best to leave it at that. Keeping up a conversation was never your strongest suit either. Now that you think of it, apart from football, you don't have any strong suits at all.
"I, uh, I had a lot of practice." She offers awkwardly, motioning to her face with the eyeshadow brush wedged gently between her fingers.
"Right, yeah, I can totally see that." You nod, surprised that she responded back with something that almost sounds like she wants the conversation to keep going. You clear your throat, "The eyeliner and stuff, seems tricky."
It seems like that was all it took for the ice to disapparate for Yunjin because next thing you know, she's rambling without a plan to stop;
"Oh, that's just at the beginning, the first couple of tries I mean and that goes for everything makeup related or, hm, maybe everything life related as well, wow." Yunjin shakes her head as if life philosophies were certainly not more important than a perfect winged eyeliner, "But anyways, I was looking like a panda for the majority of my junior year in high school." She chuckles at that, not looking embarrassed at all, "Had those thick eyebrows as well, it was a complete disaster. But the longer I wore makeup, the better I got at it and the more I learned what suited my face."
You clutch the pillow in your lap as you diligently listen to her, feeling like a younger sibling watching her older sister get ready for a party.Â
"People say eyeliner isn't in fashion anymore, like it's an old makeup trend or whatever," Yunjin rolls her eyes at you and you chuckle lightly, shyly because you had no idea what was in trend, "Such bullshit, I'll never stop wearing it. It looks so good on me."
She observes the perfect thin wings decorating her eyelids and almost sighs a little in admiration.
You nod in agreement, not being able to stop yourself, "You have big eyes so the eyeliner frames them perfectly. It suits you."
Yunjin smiles happily, "Right? I totally look like Jihyo from TWICE, right?"
You hesitate, having no idea what Jihyo from TWICE looked like but you don't have the heart to sway her happiness so you just give her a small nod.
You continue to chat, mostly Yunjin talks, and by the amount she seems to have to say to you, you start to think that maybe all this time it wasn't that Yunjin avoided getting to know you because she wasn't interested in knowing her roommate. It seems like she had the idea that you had no interest into getting to know her, so she never bothered.
Once she's done with her makeup and she looks over herself in her precious small round mirror standing on her desk in satisfaction, she turns to you with a glare.
It's not a glare as if you've wronged her somehow but a glare of curiosity and seemingly not taking 'no' for an answer. You raise your brows.
Her glare deepens, one inquisitive but perfectly plucked eyebrow raised, "Do you want me to do your makeup?"
"Oh," You huff out, for some reason embarrassed that she's aware you're a complete klutz in that department, "I don't know."
"Hm, why not? You might like it. Makeup is fun!"Â
"No, I know I'll like it." Your cheeks flush, embarrassment growing at the thought of her thinking that you're one of those girls who thinks she's better for not being interested in makeup. It wouldn't be the first time it happened. "I just...won't I look stupid?"
"Stupid?" Yunjin frowns as if the idea is ridiculous and maybe it was a little. "Why would you look stupid? I'm basically a pro at this, I wouldn't let you look stupid."
"Oh, I didn't mean anything about your...y'know, skills." You grimace when she continues to stare at you, not really in the mood to disclose that ever since a stupid teenage boy named Son Eunwoo laughed at you at prom for trying to look pretty that you've given up on it as it obviously didn't suit you all that much. "Just, y'know, people will think I look silly if I wear it. It's not my thing...y'know?"
There's a faint moment of silence and you cast your eyes somewhere else as you feel awkward all over again for ruining the relaxed mood. Finally, Yunjin speaks,
"Y/N," She calls quietly, face set in a serious expression when you bring your eyes up to her again, "Do you want me to do your makeup?"
You blink at her a couple of times, mouth parted as she sits in her chair, perfectly curled hair and perfectly applied makeup, and waits for your response.
"I'll go wash my face."
"Yes, you go do that and don't forget to moisturize."
It doesn't take more than twenty minutes for Yunjin to do your makeup. Before she starts, you carefully tell her you don't want too much and she says she'll ask before everything she applies if you want it or not.
And she really does.
She places a little bit of foundation just to cover the natural redness of your cheeks and the couple of small pimples that appeared on your chin. She foregoes contouring because you tell her you don't want that, not sure what's the purpose of it.Â
She goes a little bit crazy with the eyeshadows though, maybe she notices that you have the most interest in them. Glitter especially. It makes your eyes look glossy, almost wet but you're sure you're not describing that properly.
She even does some thin eyeliner on you, some mascara, brushes out your eyebrows but doesn't fill them out because you tell her you don't like them looking sharp. Some blush, a pretty light orange color that decorates your cheeks in a way that it surprises you by how good it looks on your face. And at the end, some lip gloss to finish everything off.
All through out, you two talk. About school, about your hometowns, about your parents.
It's bonding, you realize.Â
You never bonded with anyone through makeup before, it was usually over football with Ryujin or gossiping over the people you knew from school because that's what you had in common with her. But football is gone now, so is high school and for years now, so was Ryujin.
It was hard to keep up with a friendship that was out of necessity in the first place, even harder when there's an entire ocean separating you now.
But with Yunjin, although you seemingly have nothing much in common, the conversation just flows with each soft stroke of a brush or pat on the cheek.
"See!" She hands you her round mirror to look at yourself, "You look so good!"
"Oh," You muse out, staring at the reflection, admiring the glitter and shimmer and all the colors you're not used to having on your face, "I like it."
"Now, don't get me wrong!" She warns quickly with her hands up, painted nails glistening under the shitty dorm lights, "You look good without makeup too. Well," She rolls her eyes at herself, "You obviously know that since you don't wear it at all as it is but like, if you sometimes want to wear it, you'll know now that it won't look stupid on you."
You chuckle shyly at her short rant, placing the mirror back on her desk.Â
You wished Yunjin's words of affirmation would be enough to rid you of all your insecurities regarding makeup or...anything 'girly', they don't but you don't have the heart to tell her that. "Thanks."
She nods in response before checking her phone for the time apparently. She throws it on her bed before clapping her hands, "Well, since you already have your makeup done, you might as well go to this party with me."
That leaves you stumped. You turn to look at her from the chair in front of her desk. Party? "Wait, what?"
Yunjin doesn't even grace you with a look, standing in front of her closet which was flung open as she sorts through different materials and patterned clothes.
"Come on L/N, brush your hair out and get into a pair of jeans that make your ass look great." Her head peaks out from behind the door of her closet, she winks at you, "I'll worry about your top."
You really don't know how this happened. You don't know how you ended up here, in the jeans that hugged your hips and thighs the tightest and in the most preposterously skimpy top you have ever worn with your brushed out long hair falling over your back and your lips tinted a deep glossy red. You were a willing participant in it but you really have no idea how this happened.
"I don't think this is an appropriate outfit." You tell Yunjin as you look over yourself in the tall mirror which you both share. "I don't think this shirt is supposed to be worn like this."
"Actually," Yunjin said as she fixed her skirt in the mirror behind you and paid no mind to your ongoing breakdown, "For the last three months I thought I got scammed by the online shop I ordered that top from because it looked nothing like the photos on me but now looking at you, I'm starting to realize that the online shop is legit and that I simply didn't have the tits to fill it out."
You spluttered about at her commentary as you stared at the outfit, wondering if it would be rude to chicken out on her now.
Your light blue denim flare jeans and white sneakers looked totally acceptable. They were yours after all.Â
The shirt, the offending bright red sleeveless low cut crop top that almost had your boobs out completely for the whole entire world to see, on the other hand, was certainly not.
You don't think you've ever worn something so short, so tight, so...revealing. In your life.
It's not even that you felt uncomfortable in it, really, you thought you looked hot but it just....wasn't You.
And at that point, you had to remind your self very strongly that you had no idea what You actually was. Football was no more (at least for the near future but you have an inkling it's for forever) and maybe the you that was tied to it and that the rest of your small world knew should rest for a little bit while you explore what other you's are there.
Beats moping around and feeling sorry for yourself, at least.
Yes. You will try your hardest not to care what anyone else might think tonight. You looked good. Sexy as fuck, as Yunjin said.
It wasn't all she said. Yunjin, as you begin to find out in the last hour you've actually spoken to her, is the best when it comes to making a girl feel good about herself.
"God, Y/N, your body is crazy." You hear her say as she pulls your hand away from your stomach that was bare since the skimpy shirt or jeans didn't cover it. She stares at your abs. "Do you still workout?"
Still. Meaning she also knows you're a retired athlete at only twenty-one years of age. Once again, you have to try your best to not let that reminder dampen your mood.
"Thanks." You respond clearing your throat, giving her a weak smile. "Yeah, I workout five times a week."
You don't mention the physical therapy you're about to start next week or the fact that all your workouts are under strict supervision ever since the injury happened. That, starting from next week, two other people will be responsible of you staying in shape.
It's so pitiful, you're so used to doing everything on your own.
"Five?!" Yunjin's jaw drops before she scoffs, looking at her body in the mirror with overly critical eyes.
Yunjin seemed to be naturally on the skinnier side, she didn't have any muscle built up. Not like you, years of doing football made your physique change, your body looked amazing - you were aware of that. Personal trainers, coaches both male and female told you so at least....'Defined thighs, defined stomach, toned arms...'. You heard enough about your body to know that it looked good.
It took years of sweat and regular gym hours to make it that way though and you feel bad that Yunjin seems to be comparing it to her own.
"When I was in my best shape, I had a whole team of people working with me from diet to workouts, that includes my coach as well." You chuckle lightly, as she turns her eyes from her stomach to you, "Everyone was expecting me to go pro so...The university invested a lot in me."
You force out another laugh, not trying to turn an attempt to stop the comparisons into a pity party. "Even now when I won't be playing, I'll have two people working with me."
When all you get in return is a dumbfounded stare, you groan feeling like you read the situation incorrectly. Your social cues still need some catching up to do.
So, there's nothing left to do when you feel so uncomfortable but ramble and it's what you do best, you will be quick to learn.
"This is stupid, I don't know if that's what you were doing and I'll feel like shit if I say it but ended up assuming it wrong but I'll say it anyway just in case; if you were comparing yourself to me, don't, I had professionals working with me for the past three years. Professionals that are extremely expensive and finished schools and shit to learn how to make people look hot and fit, so...." You trail off, avoiding her eyes at all cost and scratching behind your neck awkwardly.
The silence is so long that it almost wills you to run out of the room and maybe ask for a permanent roommate change, just to beat Yunjin to the punch. Instead, you hear a stifled giggle.
You glance at her just to see your roommate bite back a grin.
You huff, cheeks turning red from the embarrassment because you barely speak but when you do, it's really almost always complete and utter shit, as you try to hide your own smile.
"You're a nice girl, Y/N."
"Yeah, yeah." You huff, always terrible at taking compliments, "So are you, I guess."
She snorts at your awkwardness but doesn't further comment on it as she rummages through her jewelry box and pokes big hoop earrings on.
"And you can keep that shirt if you want...God, I hate you big boobed bitches." You let out a surprised laugh at that as she rummages some more through her jewelry box. "Do you have any earrings for yourself? I'd offer you a necklace but I think it's hotter if your neck is bare honestly."
"Um," You approach your desk and pull out your mom's jewelry box with a humble amount of items in it. You show her your tiny golden hoops, "What about these?"
"Yeah, those are great. Put those on and let's get ready to go, Chaewon might be dancing on tables by now."
As you lock the door to your dorm and turn to leave, Yunjin intertwines your arms as you both walk down the hall crowded by college students either going in or going out.
New girl friend, not so bad, you think to yourself.
Chaewon is not dancing on tables when you get there. You don't exactly know who Chaewon is but there's nobody dancing on tables in the crowded frat house you've walked into. You don't know anyone there, you thought you might see some girls from your team at least despite not getting along with them the best but you don't.
Yunjin, on the other hand, seems to know everyone.
She greets every living soul in the dusty, stuffy living room and every living soul greets her back. You guess it's safe to say that your roommate slash new girl friend is very popular with the party crowd at your campus.
As it's your first ever college party, you just follow her around like a lost puppy but she never makes you feel like a lost puppy, instead, she introduces you to every person that comes to chat with her even though you can hardly remember their names. You appreciate that more than you'd like to admit.
You end up in the kitchen which is less crowded but still has a handful of people in it where Yunjin shoves the classic red party cup in your hand and clinks it with her matching one, telling you to drink up.
At least you're not a complete virgin in this area. You drank before, you weren't an expert or anything because alcohol is limited for athletes but still, it's one of the first 'not first's of the night.
You meet Chaewon who is bubbly and cute with her bob and sparkly eyes. She's not nearly as drunk as Yunjin led you to believe she would be. When you comment on it, Chaewon smacks Yunjin's arm jokingly.
"You've made the girl think I'm an alcoholic or something." She scolds your roommate with a smirk before turning to you, smile back to complete innocence, "I don't even drink that much, Y/N. Honest."
Yunjin comes closer to mutter in your ear, "She's a liar, it's just that she's trying to be sober to see if the guy she's into comes alone tonight."
"Oh!" You nod and give Chaewon a reassuring smile as she goes beet red in the face and glares at Yunjin who continues to tease her.
You were about to tell Yunjin that you much prefer the crowd in the kitchen than the living room area and that you'd hope to stay here a bit more but you don't get a chance to.
Loud hoots echo through the kitchen and you turn your head to see what the ruckus is all about only to see the bane of your very existence walk in with a wide smile along with a group of other guys, greeting everyone like he's the king of the world and with the way everyone in the room treats him - he might as well be.
Of course. Of fucking course, Jung Wooyoung would be considered the life of the party.
He can be! You don't give a fuck! But why did it have to be the first party that you are attending.
You try to hide your scowl by taking another sip of your drink, trying your hardest not to let your eyes trace his movements from the other side of the kitchen island but one second your eyes are coasting over his ridiculous outfit (which he looks damn near scrumptious in but that's besides the point and something you will never admit that you ever thought about for even a second) and the next thing you know - his eyes are meeting yours.
You quickly whip your head to stare into the living room, feeling the edge of the counter dig into your back.
Yunjin and Chaewon are talking about something, laughing loudly through the noisy room and you're trying to hard to keep up with their conversation but that turns out to be impossible now that you're aware of a certain menace lurking about.
And lo and behold, quickly enough he skulks away from his group of friends and sneaks up to your side in three long strides.
"Well, well, well, do my eyes deceive me or is this Y/N Y/L/N at a frat house party?"
You stand rigid as his clothed elbow brushes your bare one but otherwise don't give him any further acknowledgement. Yunjin, from your freshly learned discovery is ever the social butterfly, grins with an eyeroll.
"Don't be a dick, Wooyoung."
Oh. Oh.
Yunjin knows Wooyoung. Well, that makes just about everything a thousand times worse.
"What? I didn't say anything." Jung Wooyoung defends with a smug smile from next to you before giving Chaewon a charming (or at least what might be charming by some people's standards, definitely not yours or anything) smile. "Chaewon, hello."
She stifles a laugh, "Hi, Wooyoung."
You're irritated to the highest degree for some reason.
Why were you never on the receiving end of his charming smiles? Again, charming by some people's standards. Let it be known, it's not by yours. Not that you want to be on the receiving end of any kind of Jung Wooyoung smile but just...why aren't you ever?
"Can't believe you two managed to get babyface over here out of her room for once." He comments and for a second you have no idea who he's referring to. Until Chaewon laughs lightly again before motioning towards Yunjin.
"That's all Yunjin. I just met Y/N, actually."
"Lucky you." Wooyoung adds and only after his second mischievous glance do you realize they're talking about you.
"Babyface?" You turn to him, growing outraged as his lips stretch into a wide grin. What is it with him and these weird nicknames which all contain the word 'baby' in them. What happened to calling you a troll like he did in middle school and moving about his night?
He shrugs, "I reckon it's better than crybaby."
"You reckon?" You scoff, not being able to stop yourself. Not even a full minute with him and you're already showcasing the gnarly childish side of yourself to girls you were hoping would become your friends. "Wow, how many years of college and you're finally using big words, Jung."
Wooyoung, for reasons you could never wrap your head around, looks positively delighted at your quip. "If you think 'reckon' is a big word then I have no further comments, Y/L/N."
You flush a deep red at that as a glare fully sets down on your face, aimed entirely towards him now. He bites his lip to stop himself from laughing which only makes you grow redder.
"So, you two know each other?" You forgot for a split second that the two of you were in the presence of your new friends. Yunjin stares at you with brows raised.
With a solemn sigh, you respond, "We were neighbours."
"We still are." Wooyoung adds, cozying up to you further. You watch in contempt the way his shoulder brushes yours and his arm lays on the kitchen island behind you, one wrong move and his arm would be around your waist. Seriously, why is he so damn close?
To your own embarrassment, you find yourself not moving away, liking his warmth and whatnot. Maybe, he smells nice as well. Just a little bit. Something citrusy and delicious. Whatever.
"Oh?" Yunjin asks, looking awfully too interested in your relationship with Wooyoung. Not that there is a relationship. Your brows furrow as you observe the way she silently communicates with Chaewon.
"What?" You ask, lost entirely.Â
Chaewon gives you the same, overly enthusiastic smile, "Oh, nothing."
Wooyoung's chest shakes against you from silent laughter about something you must've missed and you turn to glare at him. He didn't do anything, you just felt like it.
A couple of minutes of conversation pass and you find yourself even enjoying it, despite the little nuisance stuck to your side. It's been awhile since you hung out with anybody, you never thought you even needed it but you think you understand now the hype around these college weekend hangouts.
Until it somehow dips to Yunjin and Chaewon ditching you.
"Y/N, remember that guy Yunjin was talking to you about? The one I have a crush on?" You nod as Chaewon talks against your ear, "Well, he just got here and Yunjin and I will go say hi to him."
"Oh, I'll come with!" You say pathetically before Yunjin loudly exclaims "NO!"
"No, Y/N, you stay right here with Wooyoung, okay?" She motions to the guy next to you, "You two seem to have so much in common!"
She's giving you a weird smile, overly wide, overly excited and you have trouble reading what she's trying to tell you, not knowing her nearly enough to be able to read girl code already.
You can barely get a word in and they're already gone, whisked by the living room crowd and you're stuck with Jung Wooyoung of all people by your side, feeling completely and utterly stupid.Â
They...ditched you? Did Yunjin regret inviting you? Did she find you embarrassing? Maybe you should just go home.
A deep sigh is heard by your side and you're once again reminded with who they left you with.
"Y/L/N, they didn't ditch you. They don't hate you or whatever it is that you scrambled up in that big head of yours, they're trying to set you up with me." Wooyoung lazily explains from your right and you turn to look at him like he's crazy. What surprises you more than his statement is the fact that he's actually sticking by your side.
"What? Set you up with me?" You scoff, crossing your bare arms over your chest, "Don't be ridiculous."
He snorts, "You'd rather think they ditched you than trying to get you laid?"
You go silent at that. Laid. How preposterous. How insane and how ridiculous.
It's another thing that you're a complete virgin to. Literally and figuratively. You've never went with a boy past a clumsy make out session. Get laid, you scoff inwardly, how silly.
Suddenly, you're aware of a pair of eyes on the side of your face and you're not surprised to find Jung Wooyoung staring at you in amusement. With all your defenses up, you ask, "What?"
His eyes twinkle with mirth. "I didn't say anything."
Another moment of silence between the two of you passes. Some guy comes to greet Wooyoung, he gives you a small nod in greeting which you return and after some small talk between the two of them he walks away, leaving you two alone once again in the middle of the semi-crowded kitchen.
Wooyoung inches closer to you again, mirroring your stance now by leaning against the island with his back. "Is being alone with me that scary that you refuse to talk?"
"Scary?" You scoff again, it's all you seem to do in his presence, without even looking at him. "Don't flatter yourself too much, Jung, you're not nearly as intimidating as you like to think you are."
"Who said I thought I was intimidating?" He asks calmly, enjoying the way you're riled up for no apparent reason.
You don't answer his question, aware that you're being a bitch for no reason. But it's his fault if anything, years of juvenile fights made Jung Wooyoung bring out the worst in you.
"These parties don't seem like they're all that." You comment, more to yourself than anything but he's obviously listening so you decide to include him in the conversation. "Don't you get bored of them?"
Wooyoung hums from next to you, lightly swaying to the music from the living room as he hands you a cold cup of...something and takes one for himself as well. It feels weird that he actually is sort of attentive by getting you a drink when he noticed your empty cup on the island. You decide not to dwell on it too much.
"Bored? Not really, they get repetitive but there's always something fun to do." He responds, mouth quirking up as he looks down at you. Your eyes flicker down to his lips just in time for his tongue to swipe across his bottom lip. You look away quickly.
Clearing your throat, for the life of you, you have no idea why you nod to a couple in the corner right next to the kitchen almost having intercourse against a wall. "Like that?"
Wooyoung snickers and you feel yourself flush slightly but you blame it on the drink which is...much better than whatever Yunjin handed to you at the beginning of the night. "Don't blame people for having fun, Y/L/N."
You turn to him with your nose crinkled, "That's your idea of fun?"
Wooyoung seems a bit surprised and yet strangely intrigued by the course of the conversation. Maybe you are too but in this moment, it feels all too exhilarating with him being so close and you being a complete and utter virgin and all. God, if Chaewon and Yunjin left you here in hopes of getting you laid, maybe they were right.
There's no reason to be acting like this around Jung Wooyoung.
Honestly, what is wrong with you Y/N? Maybe you really should fuck someone. You'd stop thinking about Jung Wooyoung this way and lose your virginity at last.
Two birds with one stone.
"I know lots of ideas of fun." Wooyoung starts before he gives you that devastating grin of his that you despised even as a lovesick teenage girl as he subtly nods to the couple, still at it in the corner, "That is one of them. Although I'd at least take it up to one of the bedrooms upstairs."
Your nose crinkles in disgust again at the thought of the state of the beds in these dirty testosterone filled frat houses. "Gross, they probably don't even change the sheets."
"My apartment is two blocks away." Wooyoung adds, a little too quickly in your, once again completely virgin, opinion. "I always have that option as well, y'know?"
You blink a couple of times, staring at the kitchen tiles as you start thinking that you're not talking about his ideas of fun only anymore.
Was he-? Is he trying to-? No. No way. Do not.
"Right." You say quietly, taking a tiny sip of your drink before smacking your lips.
There is no way that in any shape or form Jung Wooyoung is attempting to flirt with you.Â
He's quiet for only a couple of seconds before two other guys approach him, doing those weird half hugs half handshakes that assholes like Jung Wooyoung use to greet their friends. Which he seems to have a bunch of. Mr. Popular he is.
While they converse, your eyes are still stuck on the couple making out in the corner of the room and to not seem like a complete and utter creep, you draw your eyes away from them into the living room where...all you seem to see are couples.
Flirting. Kissing. Grinding on each other (Gross). Humping on the couch (Double Gross, you're sure people use that to sit on ordinary days). Clumsily walking up the stairs with their hands already on each other's clothes (Triple Gross). They're all going to have sex!
Meanwhile, you're a virgin. Not by choice either, if it were up to you you'd grab the first guy you see right this second and let him fuck you just to get it over with. It's not like you're saving yourself for someone special or anything. Too bad that they all seem to be taken one way or another and the only guy you've spent the whole night talking to is-
Wait.
Nononono.
But-
Wait.
You turn to observe Jung Wooyoung by your side, who is still talking to his two buddies. None of them paying you any mind.
As you mentioned before, there was a general consensus going around that Jung Wooyoung was good looking. You've seen him only a handful times since that night he dropped you off home after prom even if you're both on the same campus but you can admit (although you'll outwardly deny it if anybody asks) that he has gotten even hotter.
His face lost all of his baby fat with years that went by, his jawline got sharper and lips plusher. His eyes were expressive and the mole under one of them was cute. His hair was still long, you don't know if he cut it after prom night and just let it grow out again or if this was simply the length her preferred, now all black but it suited him immensely.
He had nice hands as well. Veiny hands, long fingers with nice and tidy nails. And you might've called his outfit ridiculous but you only did it to fulfill your role as his self-appointed enemy, it wasn't that ridiculous. Just a pair of baggy jeans and a white shirt with his sleeves rolled up. You guess he knows that he has sexy hands. The first three buttons of his shirt were undone, making sure to showcase the naturally tanned smooth skin underneath and a necklace decorating his collarbones.
This...whore.Â
A man that plays up his good physical attributes this well could be nothing else but a man that gets around a lot.
When you notice that you've spent a good two minutes doing nothing but checking Jung Wooyoung out, you notice that his two friends have left already and he's holding his red cup while staring at you with an amused smirk on his face.
"What now?" He asks and you part your lips before licking them, almost shivering when you catch Wooyoung following the action closely.
Well, your dad did say that should live your life and try at least. His words, not yours!
Although when he said them, you are most definitely sure your dad didn't think you'd ever be applying them when asking Jung Wooyoung to take your virginity but what he doesn't know won't put him in an early grave.
You are twenty-one years old and among a lot of other things, you are horny. It's time to get a move on.
"I'm going to ask you something now and for once," You let out a soft sigh, eyes fluttering shut as you can't believe you're about to do this before opening them to level Jung Wooyoung with an open stare as you inch closer to him to make sure he can hear every word, "Just this once, I ask of you, nicely, to not be a dick about it. If you're not up for it, just...just let me down gently. Don't laugh at me, please, just tell me no and we'll forget it ever happened."
All traces of amusement leave Wooyoung's eyes after your all-too-honest speech and he turns to rest his hip against the kitchen island to be face to face with you. He looks serious and asks quietly, "What do you wanna ask me, Y/L/N?"
You take a deep breath, feeling undeniably nervous under his heavy gaze. "Those ideas of fun you mentioned before, the ones involving your apartment...."
Wooyoung presses the rim of the cup against his lower lip, teeth gently grazing it before he takes a sip. He nods, looking a little confused as he swallows, teeth coming back to bite on the cup.
"Mind showing me?"
It takes him a second to catch on but when he does, it only takes another second for the mischief in his eyes to triple and lips placed against the rim of his red cup to stretch into a wide breathtaking smile.
-
Wooyoung had an inkling of an idea where the course of the night would take him when he first left his apartment. Have a drink or two, mess about with the guys for a few hours and maybe if he was up to it, find someone to take home.
But this... if someone told him this would happen, he'd burst out laughing and call that person crazy. Insane. Deranged. A lunatic.Â
Really, he had no idea how the hell this happened.Â
This being two handfuls of your jean-covered ass in his hands, tongue shoved deep into your mouth as he pushes you against his hallway wall and swallows every tiny sound you make while your hands tug and rake through his hair.
He's pretty sure your dark red lip gloss is all over his cheeks from how messy and rushed the kissing is. Everything tastes like artificial cherries, a taste too sweet for Wooyoung's liking accompanied by a tinge of vodka and lemonade that you've both been drinking.
Your hands are soft when they run over his jaw and latch onto his shoulders, he swallows another surprisingly sweet whine of yours and slips a leg between your thighs. Embarrassingly enough, Wooyoung is already hard and once his hands slip from your ass to your hips just to feel the way you move them as you grind against his thigh - he fears he might finish in his pants.
Yeah, if at the start of the night someone told him that Y/L/N Y/N would be dry humping him in the hallway of his small studio apartment after he went out of his way to keep her company at a party, he surely would've dialed the nearest psychiatric institution to take that person in for much needed treatment.
When you reward him with a whimper that goes straight to his dick for placing a kiss underneath your ear, Wooyoung starts coating your neck in slow hot kisses and bites that leave you trembling in his arms.Â
He's been (as subtly as he could) staring at the naked skin that your shirt revealed for the majority of the night anyway so, truly, this isn't much of a chore for him.
When his teeth gently graze your clavicle, he pulls away for just a moment and realizes he's finally gotten a front seat view of your tits.
Jesus Christ.
When the fuck did you become hot?
Wooyoung always found you cute at most. And fine, he thought you were pretty too that night he drove you home from your prom night. But that's where it all ended. He didn't think about you all too much in any other way given your history and barely saw you as it is.
Looking at you now...your hooded eyes that glittered around the corners. Flushed cheeks and heavy breaths that made his head spin. Disheveled long hair that fell down your back and that he wanted to tangle his fingers in (which he quickly did as soon as that thought appeared, no time like the present!). And those fucking tits covered with nothing but a sorry excuse for a shirt that clung to your torso.
Wow.
It really must be true when they say that distance makes the heart grow fonder.Â
Although there's little heart involved in this situation and a whole lot of thinking with his dick.
He pulls the thick strap of your top a little and watches at it smacks against your skin gently. You keep quiet, breaths still heavy as you watch him.
"This shirt is fucking ridiculous, Y/L/N."
No time left for talking, his fingers curl around your waist again as he bends down to place kisses against your chest. You both probably smell like smoke, sweat and booze but there's a soft layer of vanilla mixed into it the closer he gets to you and Wooyoung finds himself not minding the combination.
"I-It looks bad?"
It's the first words you've spoken since you stumbled into his apartment and Wooyoung has to pause, almost in disbelief. His first reaction is annoyance, not pegging you as the type of girl to fish for compliments by acting insecure even though she knows very well she looks delectable.
But then, the more he stares, the more he notices the way you twitch in his hold, shifting your gaze around his face in order to avoid his eyes, his annoyance disappears. You are insecure about the shirt. You are genuinely wondering whether or not it looks good on you.
And Wooyoung is nothing, if not ready to please at all times.
"I wanna drag it off of you with my teeth." He says the honest truth, hating the way his voice is low and husky. What the fuck is he doing. Why is he breathing so heavily?
The blush that overtakes you doesn't stop at your face but slowly curls around your neck and appears at the top of your chest. He hums, satisfied with the reaction he got before going back to business.
The business being your marvelous tits.
With his hand still curled around your waist as he lowers down so his forehead is basically resting on your bare chest, he groans once he thumbs over your left breast and feels a hard nipple under the material.
"Are you not wearing anything under this?" He murmurs against your skin, groaning again once he feels your fingers intertwine with his hair. Wooyoung doesn't wait for a response but roughly pulls one of the thick straps down your arm and places a hand over your naked breast feeling its weight in his hand.
Jesus fucking Christ.
He thumbs at your nipple, liking the soft moan that escapes you at the action as you continue to grind against his clothed thigh.
"Y-Yunjin said it didn't need a-a bra." You stutter out through a whisper and he places a soft kiss to the middle of your chest as if to soothe you before returning his attention to what's really important.
God bless Yunjin then. Wooyoung should remind himself to buy her that chicken sandwich she likes so much tomorrow morning.
His thumb rubs over the hard pink nipple one last time before its enveloped by his lips, tongue twirling around it and arm tightening around your waist as your breath hitches and you twitch even more in his hold.
When you let out a high pitched moan once his teeth gently graze the soft bud, Wooyoung thinks he'll send Yunjin a whole damn buffet to her dorm.
Wooyoung releases your nipple with a 'pop' that makes you groan lewdly and he scrambles to stand up to his full height to get the offending red shirt off your body.
"Off." He mutters and you quickly grab the ends of the shirt to pull it off, needing Wooyoung's help since it was genuinely so tight on your torso.
With your hair disheveled even more now and bare chest on full display, Wooyoung almost kneels down in front of you.
His dick ached.
"Oh my fucking God." He mutters, burying his face into your chest as he licked and kissed and sucked and...
"Bed." You whisper through a moan, tugging at his hair. You grit out almost bossily, "B-Bed!"
"Bed?" Wooyoung looks down on you in confirmation, body now completely pressed against yours and when he sees your wide, desperate but sure eyes, he quickly nods. "Bed."
His lips are back on yours again, hand grasping at your jaw as he pulls you from the wall and leads you further into his studio apartment. The bed was only a couple of feet away anyways.
You grunt against his lips as you trip over something and he pushes it away with his foot (it was a sneaker that fell out of place as he was getting ready in a hurry), continuing to lead the way to his bed.
"You take off your shirt too." You whisper, almost shyly which causes something warm to swirl in his stomach. He obeys quickly, dropping his shirt to your feet before pulling you in with a hand at the back of your neck, biting at your lower lip and letting out a small laugh as you gasp.
"Pants too." You add innocently and he huffs, growing amused at your bossy nature even in the bedroom.
So, of course, he'll be a little shit about it.
Wooyoung drops himself on the bed, thanking God he changed his sheets this morning, and obnoxiously spreads out his legs. He observes you with a tilted head and a grin on his face, "Why don't you take them off?"
-
You lick your lips at the request, feeling like it's awfully hot in the room despite the fact that you're not wearing a shirt. You without a shirt in front of Jung Wooyoung with your tits on full display was another thing that you weren't ready to unpack just yet.
He's beautiful.
Wooyoung's skin is a pretty color of fresh honey and you carefully step closer, between his legs, to place a hand on his firm chest and feel his velvety skin. He watches your every move with hooded eyes, holding himself up with his arms placed behind him on the bed.
There's a tattoo on the side of his ribs, one that you would never know about unless you see him like this, so you run a thumb over it in admiration. Still, you don't want to take too long at the risk of coming off as weird, so with all the bravery you can muster - your hand drops to the button of his jeans and you gently (because of your fucking knee) lower yourself down to sit between his legs.
You thumb it open and pull the zipper down, shivering at the way Wooyoung's lips part and he softly exhales in what seems to be anticipation. You further flush when you finally get to see the outline of his....well, his dick.
You felt it against your hip, when you were kissing by the entrance door but you didn't have the guts to ever look down.
When Wooyoung lifts his hips up to help you get his pants off, you realize you're about to see it now anyway.
Clearing your throat, you curl your fingers around the waistband of his jeans and underwear all at once and pull it down. If Wooyoung notices how clumsy you are with it, he decides not to comment at least.
And there it is. His dick. A dick, first of all. The first dick you've ever seen in your life that wasn't through the screen while watching a bad porn video.
You don't stop pulling on his pants until they're pooling at his ankles without breaking stare with his...penis.Â
You don't really know what you expected if you're being honest. You never thought a dick would be pretty and...it's not exactly ugly either. Just, odd looking you suppose.
You can't tell if it's either big or small as you have nothing to compare it to. Maybe average? What is considered small? You're scared what a big dick looks like if this is a small one. Or even average one. It's kind of thick though which is worrying, you don't even notice the way your lips part as you imagine how exactly is this...thing supposed to fit anywhere inside of you.
There's neatly trimmed hair at the base of it and the tip is flushed, a thick vein running at the underside of it and two-
"Uh," It's like a sound of a scratched record as you freeze, "Your first time seeing a dick or something, Y/L/N?"
Your head slowly lifts from his lap and up to his face where a Jung Wooyoung awaits with raised brows.
It's only then that you realize you've been examining this guy's dick like he was at a doctor's appointment instead of trying to get him off.
You're at a little loss of words to be honest and for a split second you're worried that Jung Wooyoung will take your stutters of "I, uh" and "Um"'s and "Uh, hm"'s the wrong way and think you're impressed by him or something. You're not, once again, you have nothing to compare it to. You barely know what you're looking at right now.
His facial expressions go a little like this in the next twenty seconds: Cockiness (that quickly fades though), Confusion and last but not least Realization.
"Oh my God, it is?!" He laughs in disbelief before his eyes grow even wider and mouth continues to hang open. He quickly places a pillow laying on his bed over his lap, to shield his manhood from the big bad scary virgin apparently, "You're a virgin?!"
It feels like a punch to the gut and you flush a deep red, already scrambling up to your feet and shielding your bare chest. While you try to find that damned crop top, Wooyoung is still rambling in the background.
"There's no way! Wow, seriously you've never had sex before?! Never?! Wow, there's no way! Wait, why are you putting your shoes on-"
You refuse to turn towards him, pathetic tears of embarrassment already welled up in your eyes and bottom lip wobbling, "Uh, I'm gonna go."
"Wait, what? Why?" You hear shuffling behind you and you assume he's trying to get back into his jeans.
You quickly slide your second sneaker on and are flinging the door open, not looking back. "I have to go. I'm sorry, bye."
"Sorry? What are you- Will you just wait a fucking second for me to put my clothes back-" The door falls shut and you're stalking down the hallway of the apartment building, trying to get as far away from his door as you can.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
What were you thinking? Kissing Jung Wooyoung, going home with Jung Wooyoung, doing anything with Jung Wooyoung. What were you thinking?
You cry only a little when you get back to your dorm. Really, it's only a little, just a couple of flimsy tears.Â
Then you scrub the makeup from your face and change into your pajamas. Yunjin still isn't back and you're angry at her too, for bringing you to that party in the first place. For leaving you with Jung Wooyoung as well.
You're angry and embarrassed. And on top of that, you're horny too.
Why did Jung Wooyoung have to be such a good kisser? Why did his hands have to feel so nice? Why was he so beautiful?
You huff, buried deep in your sheets and all ready to go to bed but sleep just isn't coming. You're too busy thinking about the guy you've sworn not to think about at all anymore.
It was going so well these last two years.
With another huff, you cover your face with your pillow and scream at the top of your lungs.
He tasted like lemonade.

can i ask what the process of getting your wheelchair was like?
Okay so I missed this one by like 15 days (got drowned out in my inbox)
So my wheelchair process began by talking to my primary care about the next steps for my mobility because the aids I already ad were not sufficient and I was struggling with mrADLs around the house such as getting to the kitchen, getting to the bathroom (was limited to like 1-2 times a day, it was miserable, my room was right next to the bathroom) for a lot of things I was being pushed around on my rollator which is not how rollators are intended to be used. I brought all this up to my primary care and included that I was very worried because I was going to be starting university in the upcoming couple of months and I didn't know how I was going to be able to get to classes. my primary care suggested a powerchair, I was like, no, I want a manual wheelchair.
I first got a hospital wheelchair to tide me over until I got my custom chair. Usually DME can give you a loaner chair but I kinda needed something sooner rather than later. I also got a prescription for a wheelchair that was sent to NuMotion. My primary care had never gotten someone a custom wheelchair before so she wasn't sure what to list on the prescription. NuMotion said they wanted just "wheelchair" and nothing else. They said they would do the evaluation and decide which type of chair I needed.
My evaluation was scheduled for approximately 2 weeks after my prescription was finally delivered. My evaluation was done with the help of my physical therapist. At my evaluation we discussed my needs and my wants for my wheelchair. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and I would strongly recommend you do the same (but be open to suggestions) I have a chair that is literally perfect for me in every way because I knew the exact features and specifications I wanted. Other people who are less happy with their chairs usually went in with little to no idea of what they wanted. Basically, be prepared, do your studying. At the evaluation they also took just, like, a ton of measurements. They measured my legs, my hips, my torso, my pelvic angle, my grip strength, etc. It was a lot of touching, be prepared for a lot of touching.
After my evaluation happened my physical therapist had to write up a justification to insurance for my wheelchair and all of its parts. This took about 2 weeks. My primary care then had to approve all of that justification, this took another two weeks. At that point the forms were submitted to insurance and it was a month and half (extra time because of the holidays) until I heard back about it. I got approved on my first try thanks to the hard work of my physical therapist combined with not being borderline on qualifying.
It took about a month to build my wheelchair. I actually got the news that it was done a week early and I went to schedule my pick up appointment in person and they were like "we actually have it right now do you want it right now?" and of course I was like "yes!!!!!" it felt like Christmas but 10 times better. Genuinely one of the happiest days of my life. Usually you have to schedule your pick up appointment but try going in person to schedule it because sometimes they literally will just let you have it.
Anyways, sorry this was so late. Hope this helps

âEvery month I keep hoping Iâll have different news for you two,â Doctor Simmons sighed, âunfortunately, I have the same news. Beverly still isnât with child.â
âWeâve been trying for five months, weâve been doing everything youâve said. Beverly drinks the teas, she lays with her legs up after weâre done, I donât know what else we can do.â Robert was exasperated at this point. He was squeezing his wifeâs hand, desperately trying not to let any tears escape his eye ducts.
âYou two have exhausted all natural remedies, so I think itâs time we consider IVF.â
Beverlyâs eyes widened, and she squeezed Robertâs hand back. She looked at him, panicked.
âBeverly is terribly afraid of needles.â
âYou donât need to decide on anything right now. Take these pamphlets and look over the information. If you two want to have a baby of your own, then this may be the next step.â
âWeâll look it over and have an answer by our next appointment.â
Robert and Beverly are silent on the drive home from the doctorâs office. Theyâre silent on their way back into their home. Beverly goes right to the kitchen to get started on dinner. Robert comes up next to her and puts her hand over hers.
âWe should read the literature on IVF.â He said.
âI have friends who have done it, and all it has done is make their hormones crazy, and not in a fun way. I really donât want to, Robert. Iâve done everything else, please donât make me do this.â
âIt feels like sometimes Iâm the only one who wants to have a baby.â
âHow could you say something like that to me? If Iâm infertile-â
âYouâre not, though. Doctor Simmons has run every type of blood test on you.â
âI know, I was there when the nurse was drawing it after you accused me of secretly taking birth control pills.â
âWell, with how apprehensive you were about having your diaphragm removed, I had to make sure you werenât doing any self-sabotage.â
âMaybe Iâm not getting pregnant because my body knows you donât trust me.â
âI do trust you, you just werenât exactly thrilled to start trying.â
âYou sprung it on me, I was surprised. We never really discussed having kids before we got married.â
âSweetheart, why would two people get married if not to have kids?â He chuckled.
âThatâs not why I married you. I married you because I love you and I want to be with you.â
âI love you and want to be with you too. But if I hadnât wanted kids, we could have just shacked up in an apartment in the city. I bought us a house in the suburbs so you could keep house and raise our kids. You like being a housewife, youâve told me as much.â
âI do. I like making your meals and keeping things tidy, but I also like my free time. I like to go have brunch with the other ladies, and I like going to the library to check out new film analysis journals, and I like being able to go to the movies in the middle of the day. Having a baby means I canât do those things anymore. At least, not until itâs old enough to go to school. Thatâs five solid years Iâd be putting on hold. And within that five years, I could have at least two more kids. So, now Iâm thirty-one with three kids under the age of five, and oh yeah, Iâll still be expected to keep the house clean and cook all your meals and pleasure you even though everything between my legs will feel like sandpaper.â
Robert eyes his wife, then puckers his lips in thought. âIs that how youâve really been feeling? You havenât said a word.â
âI didnât want to disappoint you. Youâre not easy to talk to these days. Every time I reach for my clip-belt for my sanitary napkins, I can see you watching with such sadness in your eyes. Motherhood is scary. My friends tell me these horror stories about childbirth. Their husbands barely take a week off from work to be home with them and the baby. So, weâre expected to push these kids out, then get up the next day and get back to our usual routines.â
âBeverly, youâre worried about things women have been doing since the beginning of time. Donât be such a child. The fear of needles I can understand, but the fear of being a mother makes no sense. I know you and your mother have a strained relationship, but that doesnât mean history will repeat itself.â He placed his hands on her shoulders. âIf weâre not pregnant by our next appointment with Doctor Simmons, then I would like us to start IVF. Have I made myself clear?â
âYes, dear.â
âGood.â He looked at the ingredients on the counter and grimaced. âI donât want meatloaf tonight, make something else instead.â
âYes, dear.â
âIâm gonna go to my office, have a beer, and listen to the ball game. Let me know when dinner is on the table.â
âYes, dear.â
Robert smiled, grabbed a beer out of the fridge, and walked out of the kitchen. Beverly took a deep breath and rummaged through her cabinets to see what else she could possibly whip up for dinner. It needs to be something heavy enough that Robert wonât feel like making love before bed. Beverly doesnât have it in her to put on a performance tonight.
**
Most people get married to have kids. Beverly married Robert because she loved him. He wanted to take care of her. But when the honeymoon phase ended, and he stopped saying thank you to her for all of the things she did to take care of him, she grew resentful. She never let on about it. Robert didnât need to know how she really felt. Opening up the way she did the day prior wasnât normal. Things had been good between them for a long time. Beverly didnât mind stepping into the role of a stay-at-home wife. She was college educated, but it wasnât like sheâd ever be able to carry a position in the profession of her desire. And since she didnât want to be a schoolteacher or a nurse, Robert asked her to stay home to tend to the house he had bought for them.
At twenty-three, she really hadnât minded. They met in college, as so many young couples do, and it was love at first sight. Their courtship was disgustingly romantic, and their wedding was a dream come true. The honeymoon phase was so sickly sweet. Beverly enjoyed making breakfast for Robert before he left for work. She enjoyed sending him on his way. She had the whole day to herself. Sheâd tend to her various gardens, and sheâd make sure the house was clean. Sheâd meet up with friends for brunch. She did everything a good wife was supposed to do.
At twenty-six, Beverly feels like sheâs on autopilot. She canât help but wonder if the reason why older couples have designated sex nights is because the wives must need the six days in between to psych themselves up. She also canât help but wonder if this is why so many older couples opt for twin beds that can be pushed together or pulled apart.
And itâs not that Beverly doesnât want kids, she thinks it could be fun, but sheâs petrified of essentially raising a child by herself. Robert will stroll in from work, bounce the baby on his knee for all of two minutes, and call it a night. Sheâs scared for all the reasons she tried to explain the day prior. Robert also didnât give Beverly a choice five months agoâŠ
âI was thinking of maybe enrolling in graduate school.â Beverly brought up one morning over breakfast. Robert had nearly choked on his toast. âI know what youâre thinking, but you wouldnât have to pay for a thing. They have stipends for students. I could teach while I learn.â
âI thought you didnât want to teach.â
âI didnât want to teach children, but something about having high level discussions with college students makes teaching sound like fun. I miss being in school.â
âWhatâs the point of a graduate degree in film and media? Itâs not like you can do anything with it.â
âA graduate degree could lead to a doctorate, and I could keep teaching. I know female professors are few and far between, especially in the world of film, but it is possible.â
âSo, you want to be a career woman, is that what youâre saying?â
âNot exactly. Classes wouldnât take up all my time. Iâd still be able to cook and clean and do everything Iâm doing now. Except now when I go to the library, Iâll be doing schoolwork instead of reading for leisure.â
âSeems like you have it all figured out already.â
âWell, I wanted to show you I had thought it all through, that I was serious. You got your graduate degree. If you hadnât, we never would have met.â
âExactly. What if some older professor comes on to you? Youâd have no way to protect yourself.â
âOh, Robert, Iâve gone this long without something horrible happening to me on a college campus, I think Iâd be fine. Besides, all Iâd need to do is show off the lovely rings on my finger.â She grinned. âNo one would mess with a married woman whose husband can afford a diamond like this.â
âDid you already sign up for a course?â
âOf course not. I wanted to speak with you first.â
âGood.â He finished his breakfast. âLet me think on it.â
âAlright. Anything in particular you want for dinner tonight?â
âActually, I was thinking we could go out tonight. I wanted to take you somewhere nice.â
âOh? For what?â
âDoes a husband need a reason to treat his wife to a romantic evening?â
âNo.â She giggled. âIâm just excited at the prospect of a spontaneous date night. Iâll pick out a dress I havenât worn in a while, so it feels like new.â
âI think thatâs a great idea.â He stood and kissed the top of her head. âIâll call you before I leave work, so youâll know when to expect me.â
âOkay, have a good day, dear.â
Beverly was excited. A night out was a positive sign. Robert wouldnât take her out just to give her bad news. He was going to say yes to her going back to school.
The restaurant Robert took Beverly to was ritzy. He danced with her, ordered an expensive bottle of wine, and kissed on her shoulder and neck while he sat next to her in their booth. That sickly sweet feeling Beverly thought might be gone was sparking again. When the cheesecake came out, they fed each other bites. It was adorable.
âAre you having a good time tonight?â He asked.
âYes, this has been such a wonderful evening. Thank you for taking me here.â
âYouâre welcome, Bev.â He put his hand over hers and gave it a squeeze. âIâve been thinking about a lot of things lately, and our conversation this morning was the kick in the pants I needed, so Iâm really glad you brought up graduate school.â
âIâm glad it was a positive conversation.â She smiled. âWhatâs been on your mind?â
âI think itâs time we started trying for a baby.â All of the color drained from Beverlyâs face, but her smile never wavered. She couldnât let on how disappointed she was. âYouâre clearly bored with the amount of free time on your hands. I know school seemed like a fun thing to do to pass the time, but I think weâve waited long enough. Weâll be married almost four years soon, I think we know what weâre doing in the bedroom by now. So, next week, Iâm taking you to the doctor to have your diaphragm removed-â
âYou called my doctor about something like that?â
âI know itâs a bit awkward, but itâs not a secret that you have one. I went with you when you got it, I should be with you when you have it taken out.â
âRobertâŠI donât like that it feels like youâre not giving me a choice. What if Iâm not ready?â
âItâs not that you donât have a choice, Iâm just stating that itâs time. You take care of me just fine, youâll be a great mother. This is what I would rather you do than go back to school. Besides, think of the fun weâll have while weâre working at it. I got excited at work today thinking about it. I was hoping tonight could be a test run.â He wiggled his eyebrows. âI love you so much, Bev, I wanna turn that love into a physical being.â
âYeah, um, that makes perfect sense. LetâsâŠletâs make a baby.â
âReally?â He asked, elated.
âYes, dear.â
Robert kissed his wife. He kissed her in the car. He kissed her on the way into their home, up the stairs, and into their bedroom. He made love to his wife, then called it a night.
After getting her diaphragm removed, they waited until after her next period was done to start trying. This gave Beverly plenty of time to figure out how she could avoid pregnancy. She needed to keep some semblance of control over her own body. Robert wasnât going to tell her when she was ready. She could decide that on her own.
Lysol douching didnât work, she knew this. Her sister told her as much. Some of her friends offered her their birth control pills, but she knew theyâd show up on a blood test, which Robert made sure she had after the second month of her still not having gotten pregnant. Beverly may have studied film, but she was an excellent student in biology and chemistry as well. She knew how condoms worked. They were coated in spermicides. She just needed to figure out how to coat her vagina with it. She bought condoms and squeezed all of the lubricant and spermicide off them and got a good amount into a bottle. She mixed it with olive oil, what ancient Greeks used to use, and douched with that before having sex with Robert. She knew it would be a long shot if it worked, but she had to try.
When the third month came along, and she still wasnât pregnant, she took solace is knowing her little concoction was working. And because Robert never went down on her, heâd never smell or taste a thing. When he used his fingers, he just thought she was extra wet, which made him feel proud of himself.
She was perfectly content with her plans until the topic of IVF came up. Even the harshest of solutions couldnât stand up to IVF injections. She never felt bad for lying to Robert because she didnât like that he had become so controlling, but she also didnât think sheâd be doing this for so long. The thought of her giving her body up didnât sound any more appealing five months later.
What was she going to do?
**
âI really think that one is gonna be a winner.â Robert sighed happily as he relaxed into the bed, looking over at Beverly as she lay with her legs in the air. âIâm glad we waited a couple of days in between, feels like my boys swam stronger.â
âYes, dear.â Beverly closed her eyes and tried to breathe steadily, counting down the minutes until she could go use the bathroom and cleanse herself.
âI had an idea today. I really want to spare you from having to be injected with needles. Iâm a good husband, and good husbands protect their wives. So, since we have about five weeks until our next appointment, I thought we could try one last natural method.â
âIâm listening.â She turned her head to look at him, intrigued.
âI overheard some ladies talking in the break room this morning. Itâs the one good thing about having so many female secretaries. Anyways, they happened to be discussing various issues with conceiving. One of them said they had a friend who got pregnant the second she and her husband stopped focusing so much on it. The wife threw herself into different projects, and a month or so later, she was pregnant.â
âWait.â She sat up on her elbows. âAre you saying I can enroll in a graduate course after all?â
âWhat, no.â He laughed. âNo, I was thinking we could finally redo the patio and have that pool youâve wanted put in. Youâve been talking about wanting to host more parties for our friends. You always do so well with the workers when we have something done here, and you love gardening. I think youâd really enjoy overseeing a landscaping project.â
âLet me get this straight: you would rather pay thousands of dollars to have our backyard redone, than pay a couple of hundred for me to enroll in a course?â
âI think school would be too stressful. If youâre stressed, then you definitely wonât conceive. Overseeing a project that puts you outside in the sun will be a win-win. Not to mention an old friend of mine is willing to give us a deal on the work.â
âYou have a friend thatâs a landscaper?â
âYeah, this guy from my old neighborhood took over his fatherâs business. He said he could swing by Saturday to take a look at things.â
âIt sounds like youâve already decided that this is what weâre doing.â
âThatâs because I have.â He grinned proudly. âBev, when we got married, I promised to take care of you. This is me taking care of you. Not all husbands would do something like this for their wives. You could at least pretend to be grateful.â
âI am grateful, Iâm sorry if my tone suggested otherwise. What time Saturday is he coming over?â
âThat I left up to you. I didnât know if you had any errands or plans with the ladies.â
âOh.â Well, at least he was trying to be considerate. âMaybe around three? That would give me time to pick up the dry cleaning and stop at the market.â
âThree is perfect. Iâll give him a call tomorrow to let him know.â He looked down at his watch. âYou should be good to use the bathroom now.â
âYes, dear.â Beverly lowers her legs and slings her robe on. Once sheâs in the bathroom, she locks the door and flips on the fan. She rummages around in the back of the sink-cabinet until she finds her douching solution. She used some prior to having sex with her husband, but she likes to use it after for good measure. She bites into the heel of her palm as she cleanses herself. It tends to sting from time to time. When sheâs done, she looks at herself in the mirror. She knows she canât keep doing this to herself. She just doesnât know what else to do.
**
Beverly loves her weekend clothes. Thereâs something so freeing about slipping on a pair of high-waist capris, a sleeveless button-up that ties in the front, and a pair of flats. She usually gardens after running her errands, and this is what she typically wears to garden. Robert hates it when Beverly wears pants, or anything form fitting, in public. Why should anyone else be privy to how round her bum is, or how full her thighs are? Sheâs got a body like Marilynâs, and thatâs something he prefers to keep under wraps.
When the landscaping van pulls up out front, Beverly is in the front yard, planting and mulching. She has the radio going, so she doesnât pay any mind to the sound of an engine turning off. The man in the landscaping van tilted his sunglasses down the bridge of his nose, getting a better glimpse of Beverly. Robert starts walking over, so the man gets out of his van, rounding it to meet his old friend.
âHarry.â Robert smiled and shook the manâs, Harry, hand. âCan you believe it? Got a nice house in a suburb just like the one we grew up in.â
âI never doubted youâd get everything you wanted.â Harry smiled back.
âSeems like the Navy treated you well.â
âYeah, I canât complain too much. I didnât get blown up or lose a limb.â
âAnd now you own your fatherâs business. Sorry for your loss, by the way. Thatâs the drawback of inheritance.â
âYep. You working for your father?â
âYes, and proud of it. Iâve got an office with a view, and I can afford to live more than comfortably. Got a beautiful wife, too.â Robert looked around. âBeverly, câmere!â Beverly stood and dusted off her trousers before making her way over to the two men. âHarry, this is my Beverly.â He put his arm around his wifeâs shoulders.
âItâs a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Clark.â
âLikewise, MrâŠâ
âStyles.â He points behind him with his thumb. âOf Styles Landscaping.â
âRight, of course.â
âYour husband told me you were hoping to have some work done in the backyard.â
âYes, weâd like the patio redone and to have a pool put in, if possible.â
âLetâs show Harry to the back.â Robert said as he led his wife to the back. Harry followed close behind.
As Beverly observes Harry observing her yard, she canât help but feel confused. How is this man a friend of Robertâs? Harryâs t-shirt is stretched tight over his chest, not to mention how beefy and muscular his biceps are. His arms are also littered with tattoos.
It takes about twenty minutes for Harry to look around, take some measurements, and get a feel for the land.
âAlright, I can come back on Tuesday with some different mockups of what can be done back here. I can bring my portfolio too, so you can look at some of my past projects. Does Tuesday work for you, Mrs. Clark? Iâm assuming youâll be the one home.â
âYes, the early afternoon works for me, Mr. Styles.â
âPerfect.â Robert clapped his hands. âH, come in for a bit. We can have a couple beers and catch up while Bev does her gardening out front.â
âSounds good to me.â Harry nodded, and Robert started to make his way inside. For a split second, Harry tilted his sunglasses down to look at Beverly. âIt was nice meeting, Mrs. Clark.â He winked and smirked before catching up with Robert.
Beverly felt her cheeks heat up. She turned and watched Harry walk into her home. Why did he wink at her like that? And why did it make her feel like she just got a B-12 shot?
She shook it off and made her way out front. Gardening will help her clear her head. Sheâs a married woman. A friend of Robertâs wouldnât flirt with a married womanâŠwould he?
