dancing along the slopes of his bare back and shoulders, littered in between sparse populations of freckles laid bruises of many kind— not ones the harbinger had sustained during battle though, or at least, not on the battlefield. a different kind of battle, fought in bed mere hours ago, round after round as he gained a new set of hickies, bite marks, nips and other sorts of reminders of the night gone past that had etched themselves into his skin.

the delicious aroma of pancakes and waffles, mixed with aromatic cinnamon sugar in their batter wafts through the kitchen as the ginger turns on the stove, humming absentmindedly to himself as he expertly ties on the apron hanging on the oven’s door handle to cover up. frilly and white, the simple design oozes of innocence and glee, making him chuckle at the sheer irony.

with ease and precision, almost like being in the kitchen is second nature to him, he flips pancakes one by one in his pan while handling the waffle griddle at the same time, until a tall stack of both the yummy treats is piled up high on a plate beside him on the countertop.

“tartaglia?” a soft voice cuts through the ambient silence and dying down sizzles of the stove as he turns the heat off.

“what is this?” risu asks, one of the harbinger’s home shirts haphazardly thrown atop her bare body as a cover up. his eyes rake over her figure, eyes darting down to the spot where the shirt ends just near the top of her legs where he knows that underneath the flimsy cotton garment lays a scattered pattern of teasing bites and succulent kisses along her inner thighs.

“have you been cooking in here? it smells so good . . .”

“koshechka,” he admires her form breathlessly, watching as his shirt slips off her shoulders elegantly, exposing more of the loving hickies and marks he had given her hours prior. she stumbles into the kitchen, legs still sore, but he catches her without another thought, sweeping her up and into his arms as she squeals.

laughter fills the couple’s happy home, spotted sunlight fluttering in through the windows of the kitchen, flooding the room with the morning sunshine that bounces off the white snow outside their walls.

tartaglia grins up at her, tilting her head downwards before enveloping her lips in a warm kiss.

“welcome home.” she whispers quietly in between short breaks for them to catch their breathes, for only him to hear. and he smiles at that, the dimples in his freckles lined cheeks showing. his usually dull, cerulean eyes shining with the familiarity of genuine, compassionate love underneath shaggy ruffled orange locks, reserved for her alone.

“i’m home, risu.”

this is a sketch comic i drew last year (November 2023) shortly after finishing Ennie's Lobby and starting a new full time job. I didn't really write a script for it and i finished it in 2 weeks... this is completely unedited and just how i made it a year ago (lol rip good luck)

when i tell you i have never responded to anything more passionately in my life that is the truth... idk i fell into a coma or something, it was crazy

imagine an au where shen yuan transmigrates into a blank slate npc with very little system involvement, traveling around for a while until he's found by yue qingyuan and taken back to the sect because apparently shen qingqiu went missing around his transmigration period and shen yuan looks exactly like him, so it must be him, but then a few weeks later when he's just settled in on the peak and accepted his fate the real shen qingqiu shows up who was just on vacation and everyone forgot.

now there are two shen qingqiu's, one of whom is the real one and the other an amnesiac they gaslighted into believing he is shen qingqiu.

anyway—shen qingqiu has a new didi now!
