This rendition of the Hymn of the Fayth being performed in an actual church by a group of singers needs way more attention. It sounds absolutely stunning and haunting at the same time!

パフューム・Nebula Romance Album: Part 1
Okay so after fully listening to it, I give it a 7/10:
01. The Light - nahhh🪓
02. Love Cloud - Big BIG tune, I was blessed to hear it at their concert last year before it was released🔥🫶🏾
03. Cosmic Treat - Sadly not for me, after hearing it in full, I'm disappointed. It could have been Party Maker 3.0 🪓
04. Starlight Dreams - ✨ LOVE SPARKLE SPARKLE
05. IMA IMA IMA - another no🪓
06. Sumikko Disco - Kawaii but not kawaii enough to put on my playlist, beautiful gowns though🫶🏾
07. Morning Cruising - Love this!! 🔥🔥🔥Put this in persona 4 if Atlus ever remakes the game and I'd be none the wiser.
08. Time Capsule - I keep thinking this is Time Warp but thankfully it's not, IT'S EVEN BETTER AND I LOVE IT💜 Is it me or could this song (or even Starlight Dreams) have been on the radio in Vice City?
09. Jikuu Hana - PERFUME'S HYMN OF THE FAYTH 🙏🏾🛐🤲🏾 Need them to cosplay Yuna, Dona and Shelinda and sing this in a concert hall designed to look like a Spira temple
10. Mobius - I would have put this as track 9 but it's a bop, giving very much Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Metropolis Zone✨🥹
Here's hoping Part 2 has solos and a song that's like Party Maker or Story, gimme a 7 min track again!!

messing around with effects and audacity with the hymn of the fayth in my head.,

I should show it off here too but I have zero control and made the plate reference Them then threw the Hymn of the Fayth on there, bc it fits and it always gives me chills
#screenshots#i threw out the idea of what if Vaste technically counts as a Fayth in DMs the other day bc i remembered the hymn- & my verdict is she does#if she were in Spira it'd be Tidus all over again or maybe she fuels a unique aeon- def at least qualifies as an Unsent#Lewena is auto an aeon fueling Fayth by nature of her original powers#i think i could write a ffx crossover deadass it sounds fun the more i picture it

Future speculation.
So, this lowercase-kay "key" is the key to the next major story arc, obviously. This thing can enable cross-shard travel in ways that Syrcus Tower could only dream of.
Let's review what we know: the key appeared in our world when it was given to Gulool Ja Ja along with baby Krile; it was used by the Lalafell of the lightning dimension to escape an ice-based calamity in their own dimension. Aha! Paving the way for future ice dimension expacs, right? Well, no, because you and I both know the clarifications we received in Living Memory: the tropical paradise the lalafell once lived in and the ice calamity that ruined it, their use of arcane magic, and the timing all matches the Aloalo civilization in our own world. So the key actually came from the Source, not one of the shards. (Why do I think the word is "shard," by the way? The game exclusively uses "reflection.")
So, who made it? Not the Allagans; it far exceeds what they could only barely manage with the entire Crystal Tower. And, we get a very clear sign: when you use the Azem crystal at the final battle, Azem's symbol lights up on the key. And this makes sense, because with the infinite power of creation magic, surely they could whip up something like this...
...only, wasn't Azem sundered along with everyone but Lahabrea, Elidibus, and Emet-Selch? A sundered person couldn't possibly hope to have this kind of power. In fact, at the beginning of Shadowbringers, Emet-Selch seemed impressed that the Allagans had the ability to do it at all. Emet-Selch himself had to orchestrate these massive calamities to get worlds' aether to spill into one another on their own. And here's a key that can just fuse worlds at the push of a button! The Alexandrians somehow have the power to just get a rejoining on demand.
With the power of the key being so extreme, it seems unlikely that a sundered person could do it. It seems almost to be beyond the ability of the Ascians themselves. But, we've been surprised by dynamis, so, perhaps there's some still-greater magic at play.
But, with Azem's symbol on it, there seems to be little doubt who could have had a hand in it. Pre-sundering, Azem would have no reason to build this thing; post-sundering, Azem would have no power to build it.
Maybe it wasn't made by Azem; maybe it was made by Hydaelyn or even Zodiark, or one of the other Ascians? Perhaps it just showed Azem's symbol because it was reacting to Azem's crystal being used; it would show whatever symbol for whatever crystal was used nearby.
Now, I'm pretty dumb, so speculating never gets me anywhere. But, the whole game is full of dramatic twists. No one was playing in Garlemald in Endwalker and thinking, "I bet we'll go back in time to the age of the ancients, and find out that the original Fandaniel used a secret emotion-based magic to create an envoy to other worlds, which got so sad when it found them all in a state of strife that it decided to end our world, too, and that's what caused the Final Days. Also he wiped everyone's memories once he sent the envoys." Certainly while playing Dawntrail I wasn't thinking, "I bet inside the bubble is a fused world made from another shard that has the technology to cross the rift at will, and also all the people are immortal and powered by other peoples' souls, and later I get to be in a play with the captain of the knights."
But, I reiterate: when we go to the water dimension, I want blitzball, I want a /blitzball emote, and I want to fight Sin. Hymn of the Fayth orchestrion roll? Al Bhed raid weapons? If they make the Calm Lands a zone I will die instantly. After what they've done for FFIV and FFIX, it's not out of the question!

Thoughts on Kying as a FF14 summoner Valefor as a dragoon for the sneaking drop down from the sky jumps and wilson as a bard.
Ooooh, I love that idea! So I made a quick scribble of that!
But I had to draw Kying as a FFX Summoner / in Yuna Outfit... with a very special Aeon. Beside Anima, it was my favorite summon. And Final Fantasy X still holds a very special place in my Heart.
Till this day I adore the song "Hymn of the Fayth (Youtube)"
Thank you so much for this Ask - that crossover made me a little nostalgic ♥
(I can't draw armor,... I'm very sorry for butchering the Dragoon Armor.)

20, 23, 24, 31. For the lil ask game c:
20. Do you say soda or pop?
Soda, but I was raised saying pop. I lost a bet with a friend some years ago and even though we don't talk anymore I still say soda. ^_^
23. How do you feel about chilly weather?
I love it - Autumn and Winter are my favorite seasons.
24. If we were together on a rooftop, what would we be doing?
Stargazing, I imagine. Maybe listening to music and making up stories about constellations. Maybe just talking about things we don't talk about often.
31. What type of music keeps you grounded?
Most of it. I like listening to music 24/7 as much as I can. Ambient noise drills into my brain, and sometimes there's tinnitus, but music blocks it all out.
If I need to self-soothe though I'll usually hum Hymn of the Fayth from Final Fantasy 10 - the song itself is just soothing to me, I think if I remember right it's meant to be soothing canonically. But I remember it easily and I can hum and sing it easily, so it's kind of automatically something I do when I need to.
Weirder Asks

What I should be doing: resting
What my brain is doing: Sou and Aya in any branch of pax aeterna, if they have to go the route of the final Summon, will volunteer together
Their aeon would probably be something akin to a biblical angel with their original forms intertwined and their hymn is in soft harmony
*proceeds to give me the harmony and the images of their aeon and their fayth effigy*
#pax aeterna;; (ffx verse)#once again provinghow normal i am about Souji and Ayato#tell my brain to chill OMG no one is turning into a fayth

Throwback to that time I played To Zanarkand with FFXIV's performance thing. I didn't have sheet music, I just remember how to play it because I was obsessed with playing it and Hymn of the Fayth back in the day.
I love this song.

Spira's Archives
Maechen: Shall I tell you about the Spira of days long past, eh?
Maechen: There is a legend, you know. Just before the horrible Sin appeared…a terrible war raged between Bevelle and Zanarkand. When the armies of Bevelle attacked Mount Gagazet, they heard a song echoing across the snowy slopes. “‘Tis a song from an otherworld,” they said. The soldiers panicked and ran. And then, as if to pursue the retreating armies, Sin appeared! Some time later, scouts from Bevelle braved the mountain. On the other side, they witnessed the ruins that had been Zanarkand. The city destroyed. Not a single soul left standing. Gone! In its place, a multitude of the fayth had gathered on Gagazet. They were singing a song. It’s the song we now call the “Hymn of the Fayth.” And that, as they say, is that. Well…maybe not all of it.
¬Maechen: Would you like to hear the rest?
Maechen: Rumors flew in Bevelle about Sin’s sudden appearance. They said that the people of Zanarkand became the fayth, that they had called Sin. And that the man responsible…was none other than the summoner Yevon, ruler of Zanarkand! Yes, the lord father of Lady Yunalesca. On the eve of Zanarkand’s destruction, Lady Yunalesca… had fled to safety with her husband, Zaon. Later, the two used the Final Summoning to defeat Sin. Yet the people of Bevelle still feared Yu Yevon. It was to quell his wrath that they revered him, and first spread his teachings. And so were born the temples of Yevon. I suppose it’s possible Yunalesca had planned it that way from the start! A fair trade, she defeats Sin in exchange for her lord father’s honor. Of course, there’s no proof. No, the facts are lost in the mists of time. And who’d admit Yevon was an enemy of Bevelle? You can bet the temples had a hand in covering that one up! And that, as they say, is that.
¬Maechen: Like to hear more, would you?
Maechen: Let me tell you about the Hymn of the Fayth. It was once a Zanarkand song, sung in defiance of Bevelle! Of course, the Yevon clergy of Bevelle forbade it. Then, as these things often go, those who disliked Yevon began to sing it. The Al Bhed, for instance. The Hymn of the Fayth became the symbol of defiance against Yevon. Yevon could do nothing but capitulate. They lifted the ban on the song, and spread a new story. They said the hymn was a song sung to soothe the souls of the dead. And so saying, they took the song and made it scripture. That’s why today, the hymn is sung all over Spira. You could say that, though Zanarkand is gone from this world, it lives on in the song. Aaaah, but look at the time. I’ve rambled on again. I do love stories, you see. Well, I owe you my gratitude for hearing this old scholar out.

the clip didnt save right so i only have the shots. but basically hes saying that the hymn you hear in every temple, being sung by the fayth, wasnt always a symbol in favor of yevon. the al bhed actually started spreading it in defiance (they didnt come up with it obviously since it used to be a song in real zanarkand) and to save face the yevonites made it a yevon thing.
but then that implies that the fayth also started singing it in defiance of yevon. because if they had sung it from the start it wouldve always been a symbol of yevon.
#i mean i guess i couldve misunderstood but thats what i got#maechen tells you this on mt gagazet after you beat up seymour#ffx#ff10#ffx talk#ff talk

Final Fantasy X AU - High Summoner Noctis
Noctis wears nearly all white in this verse, setting his station and upbringing apart. While normally summoners would wear bright colors, his father insisted he wear something easy to spot. He is not very outwardly emotional in this verse, having come to terms at a very young age that the path he was embarking on was one that would kill him.
Born to a high ranking official in Bevelle, it was at a very young age that Noctis showed proficiency for magic and an interest in summoning. Even knowing what awaited summoners at the end of their journeys, it didn't deter Noctis from committing his life to the art and ensuring that he would be able to offer peace to not only those of the dead, but those of Spira as well.
Accompanied by his Guardians, Ignis and Gladiolus, Noctis sets out on his pilgrimage to Zanarkand and to summon the Final Aeon. It's only once he makes it to the sanctum where Yunalesca tells him to choose which of his Guardians would become the Aeon.
Noctis is unable to complete his pilgrimage despite his pleading with his two closest friends. While they have no issue with dying to keep him safe, they will not allow him to kill himself to bring about a temporary peace. All but kidnapped out of the sanctum, he is less than pleased by their refusal and spends time traveling and preforming sendings for those lost to SIN as a way to atone for being unable to finish his pilgrimage.
Around the time that Yuna begins her own pilgrimage, Noctis meets Prompto and finds in him someone willing to complete his pilgrimage. Prompto is told up front about what would be required to finish the journey and agrees whole heartedly to be his Final Aeon.
Though by the time they make it to the sanctum again, with Gladiolus and Ignis complaining the whole time, it is to find Yunalesca little more than a corpse and any hopes of preforming the Final Summoning obliterated.
While Yuna and her group focus on taking down SIN and Yu Yevon, Noctis is rallying the whole of Spira with his Guardians to sing the Hymn of the Fayth. The more he can get to join them, the better a chance they stand in standing against SIN once and for all.
And if needed be, he'll summon all he can to help Braska's daughter.
#( ffx — royal summoner )#oh look i finally did the thing#image credit to doomherald#i'd link to the original but they removed all their art

Final thoughts on FF16:
Fantastic game! Fun to play, good story and acting. A+
If I were to make any complaints they would be these three:
1. The crafting system was pointless. Didn't need it. And it kinda took a lot of fun out of finding treasure chests cause it's like "Oh great another 15 bloody hides that I can actually just buy 999 of them for barely any gil."
2. The music was great but very subdued. It was there, but it never stood out. FF16 doesn't have a "Dancing Mad" or "One Winged Angel" or even "Hymn of the Fayth" that gets stuck in your head and you hum along to. Nothing like that, it's all very... forgettable.
3. "Bury your gays". SUPER happy to have gay main characters and the fact they're gay NEVER comes up in the story. Nothing like "My father won't understand our love" or "it's a secret that we steal away and smooch each other if only our love could be out in the open." No, they're gay, and it means very little to the story as a whole, and I LOVE that.
Buuuuuuut you fucking bastards had to kill Dion. Okay, he may not be fully dead, just like Joshua and Clive might mysteriously still be alive somehow still. But the story as it is now, Dion, the canonically gay character, dies at the end of the game which... c'mon. You didn't need to do that.
#ff16#ff16 spoilers#spoilers#i also don't like the theory that it was all just a story book#i think you're interpreting that post-credit scene incorrectly
