The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebæk (Denmark), 01.03.24
Part 2/4 of the revival trip with some glimpses of what's inside of The Louisiana Museum. It was difficult to choose which pictures to post, everything is worth posting. In order :
One of the paintings from the Firelei Báez—Trust Memory over History exhibition. A vibrant and colorful artwork about colonial occupation and our contemporary societies.
Another painting from Firelei Báez—Trust Memory over History.
Spider couple by Louise Bourgeois in this breathtaking room with a large window overlooking on nature . Louise Bourgeois was a French-American sculptor, known among other things for her impressive sculptures of spiders, symbols of her mother and motherhood. Her work is inspired by her childhood and its traumas, especially "her love for her mother and her anger at her father", quotes the museum.
Same sculpture at another angle. This room of the museum is probably the most popular on social medias.
One of the minimalist hallway of the museum. So peaceful thanks to the large windows making you feel like you are part of the landscape.
Another perfect place but outside of the museum, if I'm not mistaken. I don't know the name of it, but I stayed there a long time, enjoying the moment in this light room.
That are some highlights but there are so much more to see. The museum is known for welcoming an important collection of Giacometti.

Elisabeth Wandel (January 14, 1850 - 1926), was a Danish artist who studied under Carl Thomsen and P.S. Krøyer. Her home was open to artists as her husband was a keen patron of the arts and collector. Their son, Sigurd Wandel, also became an artist and a professor at the Academy.
Wandel mostly did portraits - both of their circle of friends and of ‘common folk’ subjects. She also did a few landscape paintings.

hvorfor dog padle rundt i denne samme evige flod,
Nogle sidder sommetider stille hen,
man åbner deres dør lidt på klem,
men straks så blir de sure.
Andre danser rundt og griner,
man kan roligt sige at de læner,
sig op af det gode humør.
Man kan med sine ydre virkemidler udtrykke,
i hvilken retning man netop vil rykke,

Larger Voices Calling
Hello from about an hour from Oslo, I am in Norway, a country significant to my family heritage and childhood memories, for the first time. It is a place I have read about, a country I have spoken about with both academics and classmates, and a country, which has intrigued me. That intrigue occurred for multiple reasons as long as I can remember. So being here as I write this is both a check off…

A handsome, affordable introduction to the modernist polymath who charted the rhythms of color across textiles, illustration, painting and more
Sonia Delaunay was a true pioneer of modernist abstraction; breaking with the figurative vocabulary that subordinated color to subject matter, she placed dynamic color interaction at the core of her vision, whether expressed through painting, book illustration or costume and textile design. Drawing inspiration from both traditional Russian crafts and the modern frenetic metropolis, Delaunay’s work reflects the drastic changes ushered in by industrialization. Through her polyvalent practice, Delaunay helped construct the new modern woman that she herself embodied: equal parts avant-gardist, creative entrepreneur and businesswoman. This richly illustrated catalog showcases the range of Delaunay’s work as it unfolded over 60 years, from abstract paintings and works on paper to textile design, garments, fashion photography, books and carpets—even a brightly colored sports car. Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Sonia Delaunay (1885–1979) migrated to Paris in 1906 and became a key figure in the city’s avant-garde scene. During these early years, her paintings underwent a formal shift influenced by the vivid colors of Fauvism. She soon met her husband, fellow artist Robert Delaunay, and the couple pioneered a fusion of Cubism and Neo-Impressionism that they termed Simultanism, which denotes abstract painting that uses color in a manner comparable to the use of sound and rhythm in music. In 1964, Delaunay became the first living woman artist to have a retrospective at the Louvre.

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebæk (Denmark), 01.03.24
Beginning of march 2024, I went to Copenhagen for a few days after intense months of journalism classes. This break was so welcomed and desired. I was craving alone time and travels. So, I went on a solo trip, again. It was my first time visiting a Scandinavian country. I heard only positive feedback about the Scandinavia and indeed I was not disappointed. I felt in love with Copenhagen, its architecture, art, and especially the way of life. Kind of reminded me of Japan but less crowded. Coming from Paris, I feel everyday a bit attacked by the incivility, the dirt, the loud people and many more. I definitely don't fit with the latin culture. But in Copenhagen, I felt peaceful. The general feel, was a sense of respect of personal space and slow pace. I can definitely see myself live there.
There was a specific place that I absolutely wanted to see first : The Louisiana Museum. Yes, it is the most beautiful museum that I ever visited. Which is why my pictures were mostly taken there. That place is the perfect balance between contemporary architecture and nature. Once again, it made me think about Japan. The fog was there during all my trip, which added to the landscape a mystical and kind of melancholic vibes to it.
The museum is located in Humlebæk, one hour by train from city center of Copenhagen. The journey in the train also was a pleasant experience :)
Some pictures selected of this revival trip. The 1/4 part are pictures from outside of the buildings.
