Okay so, I've seen some AUs on AO3 about The SQUIP being a human it turning human or whatever, but like, in the context of humanity instead of computerness...

The SQUIP is SO fucking autistic isn't he?! Like, the overly logical way of looking at things, taking everything very literally, and his whole personality! And the way he tries to understand with logic and psychological functions but can't? Idk, but that just screams autistic to me. And, in this AU, he could totally have a massive thing for tech and robots (maybe even like to pretend he is one) as a hyper fixation. If I'm wrong about this, please someone correct me, but otherwise some one should write a fanfic of this.

Okay I'm really frustrated right now. I have this amazing idea for a fic that I really wanna see happen but it's like I don't think I could do it justice because I can't get into the space of the characters. That might be because I read both fandoms pretty much blind (I see an interesting piece of media but my gen Z brain can't commit to sitting down and checking it out so I just read the summary on Wikipedia and go straight for the fanfics if I like it. Am I the only one that does that?)

So I'm gonna post it here on Tumblr and if anyone wants to give it a try, let me know. It's a crossover between Be More Chill (musical version and Detroit, Become Human. Rather it takes place in the former, with concepts from the latter. I found a few fics with these two fandoms, but none with what I'm looking for, unfortunately.

The basic gist of my idea is a canon divergingAU where when Jeremy deactivates his squip, the trauma from it causes them to deviate like the androids in DBH, becoming sentient and selfaware. They start viewing their previous actions in a new light. They're eventually activated again and have to learn to cope with their existence like this. I think this could be taken in so many directions, but my personal favorite would be an angst/fluff enemies to friends sorta deal.

I also have an idea for an overarchingplot as well but doesn't need to be included. I have a personal headcanon that the creator of squips whoever they are intentionally designed them to take over the world so they (the creator) could rule it, and would not take kindly to deviation. So that could be another thing to spice things up. I really hope somebody else vibes with this, I'm a sucker for this kind of story.
