Guess who decided to make a size chart mee I did
//MENTION OF ED/SH//
(CHANGES/HCS UNDER CUT)
||Keroro||
-He/him, cis, gay
-45(human years)
-He's short now like really short, I thought it would be cute
-a little bit chubby heart emoji
-He's got brown in his colors now(stole that from ziv❤)
-Claws!!!!!!
-Fuckass ushanka(Chip revvington reference I gave him a ushanka because of that FUCKASS chainsaw beast)
-I have a theory/headcanon that the keroro platoon was created and put together by keron hq to kind of be a "mascot platoon" with keroro being the somewhat offical mascot for the keron army, so like I wanted to make keroro look kind of cutesy like a marketable mascot. Hes not fully marketable here, his designs a little too complicated, but I imagine that keron has an altered version of keroro that's much closer to his original purpose that they use in tv and in products
||Tamama||
-He/She/They, genderfluid, likes men that's all I know
-15(human years)
-SHES TALLLLLL for a keronian atleast
-to be honest he changed the most out of all the others
-anyways they have much bulkier limbs now
-I wanted to make him look a little "manmade" with the colors on their body n the way shes built I suppose?? theres a reason for that
-Tamama is a clone, like dark keroro. I hc that on keron clones have to be genetically distinct from from non clone keronians so they can be identified as clones, like for example, their underbellies being dark colors as compared to the light colors of most keronians, and the lack of feet.
-Hes a clone of one of the very high ranking soldiers of the keron army. They were created as an experiment to test genetic mutations and making stable lifeforms with said mutations. He was raised by one of the scientists who was having issues having children of their own and so decided to take her in. Keron is surprisingly very open about their genetic testing and the fact they create manmade keronians, so tamama was allowed to live a pretty normal life and went to school n such.
-She has an ED where he will often binge large quantities of food and then purge for extended periods of time
||Giroro||
-He/him, cis(?), the most he will say is bi-curious (Hes mega gay)
-45(human years)
-Buff as hell
-is that a little bit of chub? or is it muscle belly? he won't tell you that's for sure
-I made his scar cooler
-his belt has multiple pictures of it, some of the cat, some of natsumi(NOT BC HE HAS A FUCKING CRUSH ON HER ITS BC HE CARES ABT HER LIKE A DAUGHTER I WILL KILL MYSELF OVER GIRONASTU AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY) but on the top is a picture of he and is family(garuru and his dad)
||Dororo||
-He/him, FTM, bisexual
-38(human years)
-Hes supposed to be canonically lean? no, fuck you, hes fat as hell actually
-Before coming to pekopon, he had a terrible ED, he would hardly eat or drink and this was mostly due to being psychologically abused by his mentor about being natrually plus-sized when he was training to be an assassin.
-When he came to pekopon, and became a ninja, he was able to overcome his ED and accept his body as it is. Realizing he was trans and transitioning helped a lot as well as the "ninja lifestyle".
-Also I hc that the time it took for him to reunite with the keroro platoon was significantly longer than how it was canonically (like 1 year), and when he reunited with the keroro platoon he was still struggling with body image issues relating to gender and weight. He was still in the middle of his journey of self-acceptance as well.
-Stretch marks bc I imagine that he gained a fairly large amount of weight in a short amount of time
-His hat drape thingy is much longer now(also stolen from ziv(hi ziv)) he treats it like hair sometimes
-some big ol long sharp claws❤(he likes to scratch things up like a cat, theirs a cat stretch pole at he and koyuki's place)
-Droopy eyes bc I think it makes him look silly
-PAW PADS!!!!!
||Kururu||
-He/they/ku, gender? I hardly know her, pansexual
-24(human years)
-Ku is chubby ❤ as he should be
-Hypersexual(that's from donnie hi donnie)
-SH scars from SH
-I imagine that they have quite a lot of self hatred issues and an inferiority complex. Ku hates to take care of himself bc he views themself as "undeserving" of care.
-The weird jerky uncaring asshole thing he has going on is mostly a shield so people won't see his true emotions, but also it's so people will hate him. In ku's mind if people hate him then they won't care about him, since he believes hes unworthy of it. It ends up being an toxic cycle, though, as he continues to keep up the jerk act, he believes hes more and more unworthy of love and care, so keeps it up, and so on and so forth.
EXTRA BITS:
-Kururu is the average height for civilian keronians, while dororo and giroro are around the height of soldier keronians. I hc that the keron army typically recruits taller keronians especially for on field stuff.
-I HC that keronians do croak, and keronians all have unique croaks. They typically croak when they are content, kind of like a purr but more casual. However in keronian society its considered rude to purr so most do it at home alone or with family. Croaking is kind of like a stim for keronians, they can do it as they please but sometimes they'll do it subconsciously as well
-speaking of purring keronians also purr. They purr when they feel good or are very happy. Unlike croaking they can't control purrs. What makes a keronian purr depends on the individual, sometimes a keronian has to feel really really good to purr sometimes a keronian will start purring at the drop of a dime lol
-Sometimes they knead like a cat but it's quite rare and only some do it.

There’s a well-established inverse relationship between a dog’s size and its expected lifespan. Bernese mountain dogs and Great Danes live just six to eight years, for example, while corgis can live up to 15 years and Chihuahuas up to two decades.
San Francisco biotech company Loyal wants to close that gap, and is developing an experimental drug to extend the lifespan and improve the quality of life of large and giant dog breeds. Today, the company announced that based on early data, the US Food and Drug Administration has determined that Loyal’s drug has a “reasonable expectation of effectiveness.” The company hasn’t yet shown that its drug actually extends lifespan, but the FDA decision signals the agency’s confidence in Loyal’s approach, and the drug will soon be tested in a bigger trial.
“Big dog owners want more time with their dogs,” says Loyal CEO Celine Halioua. “It’s really heartbreaking to people that they don’t live that long.” She argues that the wide variety in dog sizes isn’t natural, but a result of selective breeding by humans to create dogs with certain physical traits or that can perform specific tasks. On average, mixed-breed dogs live longer than their purebred counterparts.
So far, the FDA has not approved any drugs to expand the lifespan of animals—or humans, for that matter. “This is completely novel,” says Linda Rhodes, former CEO of pet biotech company Aratana Therapeutics and a consultant for Loyal. It’s difficult to study life-extension drugs in people, she says, because humans live relatively longer lives than other species. But starting with dogs—and the breeds with the shortest lives—could yield important clues. “The implication for other species, including humans, is pretty profound,” she says.
Loyal’s experimental drug is an injection designed to be given every three to six months by a veterinarian. The drug is meant to lower levels of a hormone called IGF-1, which is involved in growth and metabolism and has been linked to dog size. Large dogs have a genetic variant that leads to high levels of IGF-1 and small dogs have a different variant that results in lower levels.
Inhibiting this hormone has been shown to increase lifespan in worms, flies, and rodents. In humans, both very high and very low levels increase mortality risk, while a midrange is associated with the lowest mortality.
In early studies, Loyal dosed 130 research dogs with its investigational drug. Halioua says the company has shown that it can reduce IGF-1 levels in large dogs to those seen in medium-size dogs. Two dogs had loose stools for a day or two after receiving the injection, but beyond that, Halioua says, no major side effects have been observed.
To determine the drug’s effect on lifespan, the company is planning a bigger study that will start in 2024 or 2025, and enroll about 1,000 large and giant breed companion dogs that are at least 7 years old. Each will receive either the experimental drug or a placebo.
Halioua says the company aims to have its drug on the market by 2026. But first, Loyal still has to prove to the FDA—which regulates both human and veterinary medicines—that the injection is safe and that the drug can be reliably manufactured. At that point, the FDA can grant conditional approval, a temporary authorization that lasts five years and allows the drug to be sold by prescription. During that time, Loyal will collect effectiveness data and apply for full approval.
Loyal is also working on two other drugs: a pill version for large and giant dog breeds, and a pill for older dogs of all breeds.
Danika Bannasch, a veterinary geneticist at the University of California, Davis, who specializes in canine genetics, says that IGF-1 is only one factor thought to be associated with dog size and longevity. “As for targeting it, I think it’s a bit premature. We know that smaller breed dogs live longer than larger breed dogs, but we don’t know how much of that is due to the influence of IGF-1,” she says.
In a study published last month, Bannasch and her colleagues identified another possible driver of dog longevity, a gene called ERBB4. Studying more than 300 golden retrievers, they compared the DNA from blood samples of dogs that were still alive at 14 years of age to those that died before age 12. They found that dogs with certain variants of the gene survived longer—on average, 13.5 years compared to 11.6 years. Bannasch cautions that the work was conducted in only one breed and that it’s not known whether these variants are associated with longer life in other types of dogs.
The ERBB4 gene is the canine version of HER4, a human gene closely related to HER2, which is associated with cancer. Studying the canine gene could have implications for human health. Researchers are also testing new cancer treatments in dogs with the hope that these therapies could help people.
Giving an experimental drug to healthy dogs is different from treating sick dogs. Bannasch says Loyal’s drug will need to clear a high safety bar for owners to be comfortable giving it to their pets. She also thinks a drug would need to show more than a few months of life extension before people would want to buy it for their dogs. “As a pet owner, I think anything over a year would be great. I suspect people would be really interested in that,” she says.
Linda Rhodes says that humans owe it to dogs to make up for the genetic misfortunes they’ve inherited due to hundreds of years of breeding. “We’ve bred dogs to have problems because we want them to look or act a certain way,” she says. “It’s our responsibility to figure out how we can help.”

Killer Croc Backstory
Howdy, I got like three different asks about Killer Croc/Waylon Jones so we are going to delve into his background really quick for this blog for the sake of clarification. I'm taking less from the original "atavism" story since that genuinely isn't how that would work with a mammalian human and making it more about a genetic condition. Again, there's lots of different backstories for comic characters, this is just my personal take. Hope you enjoy!
Tw: child abuse/neglect, ableism, brief mention of cannibalism, murder, alcoholism
- Waylon was born a relatively "normal" child to Jean and Evangelique Jones in a small Louisiana town. They both noticed even as a baby he had this strange amber tint to those big brown eyes. Other than that and some scaly skin on his thighs, no one suspected there was anything particularly abnormal.
- Yet as he grew, more and more scales would appear on his skin. At first they matched the warm brown tone of his skin, but would start to turn green during puberty (when the scaling got out of control). His eyes became more yellow with each passing year of his life. When his teeth grew in, they were all sharp.
- It was determined to be a very rare genetic condition, passed down that skipped several generations. Waylons father left when it became apparent there was no cure. Despite being from a good sized family, none of them wanted anything to do with the child. In their small superstitious town, his mother was called a witch by some. That this was her punishment for not living a Godly life.
- This resulted in his mother being isolated in her community which turned inward and led to a lot of neglect, alcoholism, and dropping him off on his grandparents.
- some of his earliest real memories was listening to his grandmother Babette singing to him in French. He'd speak in whispered Cajun French to his grandfather James when they'd walk early morning markets hand in hand.
- For a long time they'd be the only ones to tell him the truth- that it was inherited. No one's fault and there's nothing "wrong" with him.
- great-great grandfather was actually similar to Waylon but not as tall. His grandmother would tell him she didn't know him well because he died young. Waylon would later find out he was murdered in his bed shortly after his son was born. His great grandfather had scales on his back he could hide and sharp nails he always cut back. Waylon was just unlucky in the genetic roulette.
- it wasn't surprising when Waylon found out about the murder. There were plenty of times other kids would get a hold of him alone and he himself thought he was going to die.
- Puberty was when he got big, his voice got gravelly, and the scales took over. By the time he was 15, 95% of his body was scaled over. He couldn't even grow hair on his head anymore, tight black curls replaced with almost bony ridges.
- Shortly after, he started fighting back with the bullies. One fight, he tore open another teenagers arm with his claws by accident, which resulted in his expulsion from school. He was spending less and less time with his grandparents due to his mother trying to "take control" of her son.
- She kicked him out at 17 to fend for himself and guilted him to not ask his grandparents for help. They didn't need "him around ruining their lives, too."
- It should be noted many years later, he and his mother made up and grew a relationship after a lot of healing, forgiveness and acknowledgement that how she treated him was wrong even if she was in a rough situation. He can call back home and talk to his grandparents (who now live with mom and her husband) in French for hours. But that's unfortunately much later in the timeline.
- He tried to find some hard labor jobs but nothing really stuck. Eventually, he got hired on as a wrestler for a traveling show. This is when he started drinking. For years he got used to the call of: "And in this corner, from the bayous of Louisiana- Killer Croc!"
- Genuinely it pissed him off no one even asked what he wanted to be called- "I told that couyon announcer there aren't even crocodiles in Louisianna!" But it stuck.
- even once he fell into crime. Wasn't hard, when you were barely making enough to survive. He ended up justifying a lot of horrible things he did as revenge for the way people treated him or as "just survival." He grew to like the taste of blood and picking people out of his teeth. The savagery. A more animalistic side of himself.
- Then it all just became a cycle. Drink, commit violence, go to prison or Arkham. Drink, commit violence, go to prison or Arkham. On a brief relapse he managed to get his GED in Arkham (Edward Nygma helped on threat of being eaten). Then it was drink, drink, commit violence and back where he started.
- it would take a while before he'd kick the alcohol and try to live a somewhat normal life. While he's perhaps not completely reformed in all aspects, he's very different than he once was and better for it.

Travels With Tech: The WNC Farmer's Market/Garden Center
"Oh, Wrecker! You will like this. Hot sauce packaged in a container shaped like a primitive explosive device. It may even make our rations bars palatable."
Tumblr media
"This 'cactus' is actually two different species of cactus. The colorful orb is one species, while the green stalk onto which it has been grafted, an entirely different species. I suppose it could be considered a very simple form of genetic manipulation."
Tumblr media
"These are quite fascinating. Which reminds me, I should select a flower for Phee...."
Tumblr media
"*Grunt* Well, this flower, while impressive, will likely prove too difficult to transport back to Pabu.
"Though it does provide a useful perch for reconnaissance, I will find a more suitable gift for Phee."
Tumblr media
"This garden shop even has metal flowers."
Tumblr media
"I have made an error in judgement and require assistance. Kindly extract me from this carnivorous plant before I am digested!"
Tumblr media
"Ah! This will do nicely! The perfect size and color for Phee."
Tumblr media
"My goodness, I never saw anything like this on Kamino. These fish are called 'Coy,' and apparently very expensive. I do not understand how a fish could be coy, as they lack brains advanced enough for human emotions."
Tumblr media
"Ah! It is not 'coy,' but rather, 'Koi,' adapted from the regional name for 'carp.' The price of these fish can go well into the tens of thousands in the local currency. How intriguing. They must be considered a delicacy, to command such a high price. Perhaps I will get the opportunity to sample filet of 'Koi' before we leave the planet."
Tumblr media
"Apologies, Madame, but on my home planet, fish are considered food, rather than Objets D'Art. The alerting of Security is unnecessary; you have my word as a soldier that I will not attempt to catch or cook your 'Koi'."
Tumblr media
"We are waiting for Wrecker to decide which variety of hot sauce to purchase. I do wish I had my data pad...."

Ocean Song - Part 10.5
rating: PG
notes: 772 words. A03 link can be found here. Hi! I promise I'm/the story are not dead. This was originally going to be the intro to the final chapter, but I decided to share part now because I feel so bad about not posting :'D I have nearly 20 pages of the final chapter right now, so it should be coming soon!
***
Project Thrive’s initial goal had been simple enough; one of Japan’s biggest resources, seafood, was consistently in high demand. Local fishermen worked around the clock to provide for the nation and create a surplus large enough for exports, but were quickly becoming overwhelmed. Between the long, difficult shifts and heavy overfishing of prime locations, it was becoming increasingly more difficult to meet quotas.
Somewhere along the way, a necessary question was raised- was it possible to increase their resources without having to rely on international imports?
Enter Oroku Incorporated, one of the world’s top marine research facilities.
Under head scientist Baxter Stockman’s leadership, the company was commissioned to develop a process of bioengineering aquatic life to drastically increase their size and overall quality. If they were successful, one day’s catch could go further and allow relief for fishermen as well as giving the environment a chance to naturally repopulate.
Massive amounts of funding were poured into the project, and scientists immediately got to work.
Months passed and through a mixture of selective breeding and chemical cocktails, things slowly began to change. Squid, salmon, and other varieties of aquatic population began to quadruple, each generation proving to be bigger and stronger than the last. The market economy boomed, and other countries began to catch wind of what was happening.
More contracts were signed, alliances forged, and more money than they could count was dumped into Oroku’s lap.
Everything was going swimmingly, Baxter Stockman would often think to himself with an amused chuckle at his own wittiness.
Then one day, new orders came from Oroku Inc.’s government contacts in the form of an Agent John K. Bishop.
His rankings preceded him – dozens of degrees from top colleges, acclimations of praise from other members in the scientific community, and yet whenever Baxter Stockman attempted to dig deeper, he could never find anything about the man prior to the past ten years. It was almost as if he had popped into existence for such a time as this.
As soon as Bishop entered the scene, things began to change. Project Thrive continued, but its funding was divided and diverted towards a secondary focus. Oroku Incorporated had already proven that they could harness and bend genetics to their will - but just how much further could they push this?
Along with Bishop came a starting point supposedly provided by an anonymous donor– a psychotropic serum designed to separate the capacity for human-like cognition from the instinctual animal state. Stockman raised questions as to what this had to do with their goal, but the scornful responses he received made him hold his tongue.
Fish proved to be less than receptive to the new treatments- their bodies would convulse and swell grotesquely under the needle, mouths gaping as they let out high-pitched noises that sounded almost like screams. All died within hours of receiving a first dose.
Stockman had assumed that the laboratory would quickly draw the line there, refusing to continue the seemingly torturous experiments. However, to his surprise, the Board deferred to Bishop’s command and the experiments continued.
Months of failed attempts passed, and Bishop’s determination began to turn into a noticeable anxiety. Stockman caught him pacing in his office late at night more than once, muttering into a phone in strange tongues that he could only catch bits and pieces of. They were running low on the serum. The donor, whoever it was, was getting angry.
New animals were brought in.
Mammals.
Mice, rats, deer, rabbits. Anything in a desperate attempt to get the serum to work.
More breeding.
More tests run.
More deaths.
Then, slowly, progress.
A handful of creatures that survived the first dosage began to seem more alert. Their strength increased, as well as their cognitive abilities. Most still died within a few weeks, but it was clear that the scientists were moving in the right direction.
One night a lab rat received a larger dosage than usual and escaped from his cage. A fire soon broke out and by the time the flames had been doused, it and all of the other animals were either dead or unaccounted for.
Bishop silently exited the scene, gone as smoothly as he had entered, and Project Thrive was quietly archived as being too dangerous and expensive to pursue any further.
Baxter Stockman had assumed for years that any creature who escaped likely died within a few days as the serum continued to work its way through their veins.
That was until he suddenly received a fax and vials of DNA from Hamato Incorporated, containing traces of an element he never thought he would see again…

Question for Pine: have you made a "world" for konazel? as in towns, states and continents
Well, there are two Konazels. Each is a planet. Konazel Major is about the size of Earth. Konazel Minor, which is really small, not much bigger than a moon, is the one that my stories take place on right now. This is why it's the only one I've really designed a landscape for. There are 3 continents, as well as many, many small islands.
One of the continents is polar, like Antarctica. It is called Cyrosika.
There is a continent called Itercika that no one really lives on. It's similar to Africa in climate, but after humans sent swarms of a deadly pest that they genetically manufactured called Herenos, Itercika was evacuated.
Finally, there is Mercika. It has a weird climate that is basically the USA but upside down (so the cold parts are in the southeast and the warm parts are in the northwest). Although there are no states, there are 6 zones, each of which governs itself. You can see the names of five zones on the map below. The sixth zone, Fondera, includes basically all the farmland and some wilderness.
Tumblr media
Yes, I know I filled in all of Cindera with Suburban and all of Glomera with Urban. And yes, I now know that Urban doesn't necessarily mean city. Basically, the parts that I put Urban on are mainly cityscapes, with tall buildings, skyscrapers, and busy roads. Lemme just explain the zones. Just kinda ignore the color coding.
Glomera is like Manhattan. Packed to the brim with buildings. This is most evident in Central Glomera. North Glomera, especially the western part, is the rich snobs' part of the city. They all live there. Like, if you're rich, you probably live in either Bezian or Northwest Glomera. Southeast Glomera is a more residential area, kind of like Brooklyn. It has apartments and schools. Southwest Glomera is the slum/hood part. Also the manufacturing district.
Cindera is a bit like Southeast Glomera, except less busy. It is a great place to raise kids, which is in all of the advertisements for the neighborhoods there. The red dot is Market Square, which is the one part of the zone that is a cityscape. It's pretty small, though. The farther north you go of the Market Square, the more you get into the slum/hood. As you can see, Ash Avenue lies on the border of this. The military district is in the south. I also made a rough map of it, which is below. I didn't include everything, but it gives nearly enough information.
Also Pine why the frick is Market Square a trapezoid-
Tumblr media
Mereta, which is mainly comprised of factories, is a bloody nightmare. The buildings are packed really close together, much, much more so than Glomera, but the people who built the city didn't use the square system, so you just have thin, winding alleyways, some that go all around the city, others that just hit a dead end and leave you cornered. Toss in the fact that there is no military district, and you have a recipe for a buttload of crime and chaos. Sable lived here when she was young, until her mother, Clementine, decided to move to Cindera, for her safety. Bezian is basically Las Vegas. Gambling. Drugs. Rich people. There is also a large island in the gulf which houses the main military base.
Minnowvera is kind of like Alaska. Not a lot of people live there, since Konazelians naturally dislike cold weather. The ones who do live there usually live in cabins or manors in the giant fricking forest. There are also a lot of people who settled near the big lake that I forgot the name of, which is located at the red dot.

Inquiry Before Buying
Organic Coffee Market Segment Analysis - By Application
The Organic Coffee Market based on the application can be further segmented into Food And Beverages, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic and Personal Care, and Others. The Food And Beverages Segment held the largest market share in 2021. This growth is owing to the extensive application of organic coffee including antioxidants for confectionery and bakery products, direct intake, dairy products, smoothies, and shakes. With the quick adoption of western culture and expanding awareness of personal health, specifically among the younger generation in emerging countries, consumers are inclining more towards organic coffee including antioxidants. The kickoff of new organic coffee and coffee-associated assortments like cold coffee, cafe latte, and cappuccino appealing to an extensive audience is further propelling the growth of the Food And Beverages segment.
Furthermore, the Cosmetic And Personal Care segment is estimated to grow with the fastest CAGR of 9.8% during the forecast period 2022-2027 owing to the proliferating demand for organic flavored coffee in developed economies, the soaring development of cosmetic products including organic coffee with antioxidants and the surging awareness of the advantages of using coffee topically, like how it may help soothe, revitalize, cleanse, and smooth the skin.
Organic Coffee Market Segment Analysis - By Distribution Channel
The Organic Coffee Market based on distribution channels can be further segmented into Hypermarkets/Supermarkets, Departmental And Convenience Stores, Specialty Stores, Online Sales Channels, and Others. The Hypermarkets/Supermarkets Segment held the largest market share in 2021. This growth is owing to the supermarkets and hypermarkets being big retail shops that typically provide an assortment of retail product categories under one roof. In order to be accessible to clients, supermarkets are frequently placed near a residential neighborhoods. However, owing to a shortage of property near residential areas, the majority of supermarkets and hypermarket companies are expanding outside of the city. Walmart, Tesco, Aldi, Kroger, Carrefour, Whole Foods Market, and other major retailers have a substantial presence in the distribution of organic coffee. The shifting consumer tastes for low-calorie and sugar-free products have prompted many businesses to keep a surplus of organic coffee including antioxidants on hand which is further propelling the growth of this segment.
Furthermore, the Departmental And Convenience Stores segment is estimated to grow with the fastest CAGR of 10.5% during the forecast period 2022-2027 owing to their low-volume purchase from manufacturers or suppliers, and smaller discounts typically offered by convenience stores when compared to hypermarkets, supermarkets, and internet businesses.
Organic Coffee Market Segment Analysis - By Geography
The Organic Coffee Market based on geography can be further segmented into North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, South America, and the Rest of the World.
