Wingless!Reader and Harpy!Gaz MY BELOVEDS!!!! She thinks sheâs lost this thing thatâs so crucial to her identity, so she must be unlovable now, and all he can think of is how amazing she is. Does she take a while to realize heâs hitting on her, or does he make it obvious immediately?
Short answer: itâd take her a while to accept that he is actually hitting on her! Thank you to @lostintransist, @sexc-snail, @ms-sasa, and @cod-zâs conversation for giving me inspiration for the long answer:
You hadnât noticed him at first- not really.
It wasnât like you expected to see another harpy in your small, isolated town. Not here, where the skies seemed too vast and empty, and you could pretend your feet had always been meant to kiss the earth instead of the wind. You liked it that way- liked the absence of feathers and sharp eyes that might rake over empty span of your back. You liked the illusion of anonymity.
At least, thatâs what you told yourself.
But the illusion shattered the moment Kyle âGazâ Garrick walked into your life.
Youâd seen him before, of course- him and the rest of his team. They were hard to miss, their sheer presence enough to bend the air around them, predatory in a way that set all your instincts on edge. That aside, it was hard not to notice newcomers immediately, and it was your neighbors that told you about them first. Anout him.
Gaz, though⌠He wasnât sharp edges and thunder like the others. He was soft winds and dusky skies, his gaze steady but warm. Even so, you hadnât lingered long enough to catch the subtle flutter of wings beneath his jacket, hadnât realized what he was until it was too late to pretend not to see him.
Now, standing in the market square with the autumn breeze tugging at his dark curls, Kyle was unmistakable.
A harpy.
His eyes found yours almost immediately. He didnât flinch. Didnât blink.
You did. You dropped your gaze and turned away, pulse pounding and pretending like what harpy left in you didnât want to chirp and seek him out to meet him proper.
The social instincts were easier to curb with no other harpies around.
It took days for you to stop feeling the weight of that look- curious, searching, too focused for comfort. It was worse when you saw him again, and again after that, his paths seeming to cross yours no matter how you tried to avoid him. Always the same glance, steady and unreadable. Always the same tug low in your stomach that you hated yourself for feeling.
You didnât want his attention.
You didnât want to see the moment his eyes shifted, when recognition would bloom into pity or horror or, worse, disgust.
And yet he never looked away, even when you knew he must have understood by now that you are wingless.
You were restocking shelves in the little general store you worked at when he finally cornered you- not literally, but it certainly felt like it. The bell above the door had chimed, and youâd looked up instinctively, only to freeze when you saw him there.
âHey.â His voice was warm and crooning. Friendly. But there was a weight behind it too, something that made your feathers- what was left of them- prickle beneath your skin.
You murmured a polite greeting and turned back to your task. Maybe heâd take the hint. Hopefully.
He didnât.
âNot many of us around here,â he said, like it was casual conversation. Like it didnât make your stomach twist into tight knots, ash coating the back of your throat where there shouldâve been excited tweets and chirps.
You swallowed hard, and yet the taste lingered. âNo.â
The silence stretched; not offensive, not choking. Simply there.
âIâm Kyle.â He tried again, gentler this time though you still didnât look at him.
âI know who you are.â Your voice came out rougher than you meant, but you didnât soften it. You couldnât afford to.
Please go away.
He didnât seem fazed. If anything, he simply chuckled, and the sound was so nice. âSmall town things, huh? And you are?â
âBusy.â
That, finally, gave him pause. You felt his gaze sweep over you, not sharp this time, but careful. Calculating. Like a hawk.
âYou donât have to talk to me,â he said after a moment, and there was no offense in it, just understanding. âBut Iâd like it if you did.â
You didnât know why that made something in your chest ache.
You wanted to snap at him, tell him to leave you alone, but the words died before you could force them out. Instead, you turned and met his gaze properly for the first time.
You braced for it- for his eyes to drop, for his expression to change.
It didnât.
He just looked at you, steady as ever, and then he smiled.
He kept showing up after that encounter.
He was persistent in a way that wasnât quite pushy, but left you no room for retreat. He showed up everywhere, always lingering at the edges of your space like he was waiting for an invitation you never gave. Sometimes he bought things from the store where you worked, even when it was obvious he didnât need them. Other times he just passed by, pausing long enough to offer a nod or a smile, feathers fluffing out ever so slightly, before continuing on his way.
He never asked about your lack of wings.
He didnât need to.
You caught him watching you sometimes, his gaze lingering just a moment too long before he looked away. But there was no pity in it, no revulsion. Just⌠interest. Curiosity. Like he was trying to figure you out.
You hated how much it made your heart race.
The first gift appeared on your doorstep after a bad storm.
It was a feather- deep brown with pale golden tips, sleek and perfect. A molted primary. Harpy wings didnât shed often, and when they did, the feathers were treasured. Given, and never discarded.
You stared at it for a long time before picking it up, your fingers trembling. No. Was this a cruel joke? A mockery?
But harpies didnât gift feathers lightly. It wasnât just a token, it would never be used for a joke. It was a claim. A courtship.
You told yourself it couldnât be from him, even if he was the only other harpy in town.
But when you saw Gaz later that day, his eyes flicked briefly to your hand where you still clutched the feather like it might disappear if you let it go. His mouth curved in the faintest of smug smiles before he turned and walked away, wings lax and fluffy; happy.
(Un)surprisingly, it didnât stop there.
A polished stone one day, smooth and dark and heavy in your palm, made its home on your windowsill proudly. A sprig of rosemary the next, tucked into a small bundle of herbs tied with twine left with a basket of hunted game. Little things, carefully chosen, left where youâd be sure to find them.
You should have given them back. Should have told him to stop.
But you didnât. Couldnât, didnât want him to.
You kept them, every single one. And still denied anything related to the idea of courting.
The first time he touched you, it was an accident. Or so you led yourself to believe.
Youâd been hauling a heavy crate in the back room of the store when you slipped, hissing as pain flared along your shoulder. Before you could steady yourself, his hands were on you- gentle but firm, catching you before you could fall.
âCareful, love.â He murmured, his breath warm against your ear.
You froze.
It wasnât just his touch; it was the way he leaned in, close enough that his wings brushed your arm, soft feathers ghosting over your skin. Harpies didnât touch wings lightly. It was intimate, deliberate.
You stepped back quickly, your pulse hammering like a hummingbird. âIâm fine, Kyle.â
He didnât move, dark eyes searching yours and wings still brushing over your skin like the calls of a siren. âAre you?â
You hated how much you wanted to lean back into him, when you finally pull yourself away with the excuse of having work to do. His eyes followed you regardless, and you pretended not to hear his pleased croon.
The first time you let him close, it wasnât an accident.
You were walking home after sunset, shadows long and creeping. The streets felt too empty, too quiet. You told yourself you were imagining things- the prickle at the back of your neck, the feeling of being watched. But harpy senses were never wrong, even ones wingless-
Then you saw them.
Three men leaning against the alley wall, eyes sharp and predatory. Not hybrids- just humans- but that didnât make them any less dangerous.
You didnât stop. Didnât look at them. But they stepped into your path anyway, smiles sharp as knives.
âNot in the mood,â you kept your voice steady, sighing in the quiet confines of your mind.
They didnât move.
Before you could react, a shadow loomed behind you, cutting through the dim light; Kyle, wings spread wide and threating behind him.
He didnât say a word. Didnât have to.
The men took one look at him- the sharp line of his jaw, the broad set of his shoulders, the feathers flaring at his back- and decided they wanted no part of him. They melted away into the night, quick and silent, and in no time they were simple specks of forgotten dust.
You let out a shaky breath, wrapping your arms around yourself as you turned to look at him. Despite the unpleasant encounter, he looed handsome like this, lip curled in disgust, jaw tight, brows furrowed.
Stupid thoughts.
âYou okay?â Kyle asked, voice low. He kept looking around, on the look out in case anyone else tried their luck with you, and he hummed when he saw you nod.
You hadnât realized it until now, but his hands were on your waist, tight but not enough to cause you any pain. You.. couldnât bring yourself to ask him to let go, and so his hands lingered there.
Not too long- just enough for the heat of his touch to settle beneath your skin, warm and steady. Just enough for his thumbs to brush once, barely there, before he let go at last.
He didnât step back, though.
âCome on,â he said, voice softer now, one wing open around you back like a shield. âIâll walk you home, love.â
You didnât argue. Couldnât, not when the memory of sharp eyes and sharper smiles still clung to the edges of your thoughts. You nodded again, and when his wing brushed your arm- closer than any harpy should have dared- you didnât flinch away.
Not this time.
You tell yourself you should have stopped it there.
Should have put some distance between you and Kyle before you let yourself sink any deeper than youâve already allowed, but you didnât.
You let him linger, let him watch you, let him keep leaving those little gifts like offerings. You let him walk you home when the streets grew dark and the wind grew cold, his wings always flaring slightly- protective, claiming. You invite him in, sometimes, longing for company yet unable to admit it to yourself.
And maybe that was the worst part.
Because some part of you- some buried, broken part that still ached for the wind and the skies- wanted to be claimed. Wanted the safety and warmth he offered so freely, even when you didnât think you deserved it.
Especially then.
The next gift was the one that broke you.
Youâd thought youâd grown used to them by now- the feathers, the stones, the herbs tied with twine. Small things. Careful things.
But this time, it wasnât small.
It was a cloak.
Dark and soft, lined with feathers- harpy feathers. His feathers. Feathers that gleamed gold and brown, sleek and perfect. Feathers meant for flight; the same feathers that protected you, that stayed with you.
Heâd given them to you.
His feathers.
The thought kept looping in your mind, loud and clear.
Your hands trembled as you touched the edge of the cloak, and you barely noticed when the door creaked open.
Kyle stepped inside, and his eyes softened the moment they landed on you. âFits you, darling.â He said, low and warm as a setting sun.
âI canât take this, Kyle.â You whispered, a deep ache attempting to burrow its way into the soft, vulnerable space between your ribs.
âYes, you can.â
You looked up, and his gaze caught you, steady and unyielding. The ache melted away.
âKyle-â
âItâs yours, honey.â He stepped closer, his wings shifting. âYouâre mine.â
The words hit like a blow, but before you could retreat, he kept going.
âYou think I donât see it?â Kyleâs voice dropped, something raw and aching curling beneath it. âYou think I donât know? I donât care about your wings, love. Never did. They do not make me think any less of you.â
You flinched, but he didnât stop there.
He reached out, pulling you into the cocoon of his arms and wing. âYouâre still a harpy. Still strong. Still you. Still the loveliest birdie Iâve ever seen.â His grip tightened, just slightly, and he hooked his chin over your head. âYouâre not broken.â
Your throat closed.
He must have noticed, because his voice softened further, almost pleading.
âLet me keep you safe. Let me stay.â
You couldnât breathe.
And yet, when his hand slipped down to tangle with yours, you didnât pull away.

can i hear more about Gabriela? :]
YAA OFC TYSM FOR ASKING !!! shes a pafl oc of mine, a scientist !!! currently im obsessing with her connection to the facility, how her guilt is so deeply intertwined w who she is a person that u cant seperate it from her, and why she doesnt leave the facility... its a lot teehee ..
she comes to the facility when shes ~25, the main plot kicks off when shes 38.
a good chunk of her job is performing experiments on the subjects in that facility - mutants !! for example, my mutant ocs mutations are regeneration, cant die but decays its whole life, innability to feel pain/fucked up sensory issues (her brother), and turns into a wolf when stressed... gabriela herself is a mutant, tho its nothing too major. she just doesnt need to sleep as much as normal people.
an example of an experiment would be, like... Fucked Up surgeries the regeneration mutant. stressing out the wolf on purpose, again and again, to see how its body transforms. taking the decaying one's heart out of its body. her brother isnt caught until the end of the story but theyre basically trying to get him to feel pain, so, cruel unnecessary stuff.
in pafl, mutants are viewed as non human. so that gabriela doesnt feel hypocritical about dehumanising them but not her brother/herself, she excuses it as "theyre test subjects so its ok". if her brother was a test subject, of course shed experiment on him, but hes not so its fine. mutants are human until theyre test subjects. this view gets fucked when viktor (her brother) is caught and she cant rationalise her grief and anguish away
shes naturally not an expressive or empathetic person. shes always struggled expressing her feelings as other people do, understanding why others feel the way they do. its why she throws herself in her studies, and its a good chunk of the reason why she doesnt wanna quit her job. all her life, shes been ashamed of this part of herself - she tries to feel things right, to be pleasent to be around, but its just so. hard. and wastes sm energy. but then, at the facility, they praiseher for this part of herself - her low empathy makes her more efficient in her work. shes not happy, doesnt like her work all that much at the start, but she likes the prsise she gets - shes not only not shunned for this, but praised !!! wow !!! so awesome for her
another part of the reason why she doesnt leave is sunk cost fallacy. it doesnt matter if she harms 1 or 5 mutants; she harmed someonething, so shes irredeemable. doesnt matter if u kill 1 or a 100 people, ur still a killer. not her brightest moment
another reason is: this is a good, stable job. theres nothing other than her guilt that make this bad... even if she didnt like it, what would she do? quit and move back to poland? with what money ?? sure, she can work for a few months and save up, But: sunk cost fallacy :( getting another well paying job isnt an option, rlly... shes a brown woman in the 90s in russia its a christmas miracle she got hired ... this job isnt all that "well paying" either, so.. shes kinda stuck in it until she at least saves up enough to move away
... but, by that point, she feels too irredeemable, and doesnt want to go back to being shamed for who she is. shes useful here. shes a Good Cog.
along the way, she stops only listening to orders, doing what shes told, and starts giving out orders too. she becomes an important of the facility, someone they need to function. shes kind of like the head of terminating subjects - her Cool Head allows her to see who needs to be terminated to save costs. doesnt let emotional attachment get in the way.
its so !!! aughhh ... she moved there for viktor, bc he moved there first and she missed him. she got a job, disliked it, but couldnt quit bc what else can she do. by the time she can quit she views herself as too valuable to the facility and as irredeemable/unforgivable. she bottles the latter up. theyre Subjects theyre not Human its for science its Fine. the facility owns them its Fine. shes not doing anything wrong, bc the facility says so, shes actually doing the subjects a favor by putting them to good use
shes sooo. god. like she COULD have quit. anytime during the 13 years. at the start, yes, itd be hard, but like i said, she could have quit a few months after.. but she was too. happy? relieved? that the parts of her that everyone hates are what make her a Model Employee. a few years in, its like, who even is she without the facility? could she handle going back to how things were? could she live a normal life, knowing they could be better?
shes selfish, she makes the choice to stay again and again and along the way becomes, not just a victim, but an abuser. ex. she grooms the regeneration subject (and many others tbh), tells it she loves it, creaters a mother-daughter bond kinda... and she doesnt care !!! she dislikes it, thinks its annoying and would throw it out or terminate it were its mutation not so useful. its hard to work with. its needy, clingy, moody, and vulnerable.
and its like, gabriela CHOSE to do that. the facility didnt tell her to groom it. it even rec'd just forcing it to comply in experiments. but gabriela said "nooo itll be easier if it complies let me form a bond with it that i can leverage against it" !! she doesnt care that this subject loves her, thinks of it as its mother - the subject believes that gabriela really loves it. gabriela ruins its life. if the subject escapes and isnt terminated, it becomes convinced that its 'damaged goods', unloveable, and blames itself for how it was treated.
its just so !!!! and gabriela doesnt careee bc by that point, like i said, guilt is so intertwined w who she is as a person that she jusr !!! doesnt care !!! shes vaguely aware that what shes doing is bad - but its a test subject. its her right to do this, no?
she drives me nuts
#ask#gabrielacore#Huh who said all that. must have been the wind#ty for giving me the excuse to ramble about all this <333

today was (not) a fairytale
fluff (+ a bit of angst) đ established relationship đ idol!mingyu x fem!reader đ wc: 1.6k
. . . mingyu forgets about your anniversary
mingyu was a busy guy, that was obvious. but one thing he was never too busy for was you. it didnât matter if it was just a can you couldnât open, or a spider that had to be killed - mingyu was always there for you, no questions asked. to be honest, you could call him and tell him you wanted a hug, and heâd drop whatever he was doing just so he could trap you in a bear hug for the rest of the evening. that was how whipped he was.Â
and now he was late. two hours.Â
at first you thought something had happened - you texted some of the boys to ask if they knew where he was, you called his mom - you even checked the latest news, worried to see any updates about a car accident.Â
nothing.Â
sitting at an expensive restaurant full of people by yourself was humiliating enough, but what bothered you even more was that it was supposed to be your anniversary dinner. mingyu never missed any milestones of your relationship, he even bought you small gifts on the date you had your first kiss.Â
then it hit you - his location. quickly pulling your phone out of your bag, you couldnât believe your eyes.
he was at seungcheolâs place.Â
not bothering to call your boyfriend - it wasnât like he was answering any of your calls before, so why bother - you called the oldest boy, fiddling with your napkin that you wouldnât be probably using tonight either way.Â
âhey, is everything okay?â seungcheol asked immediately. it wasnât often that you called him, especially at such a late hour, so he figured something must have happened.Â
âis mingyu with you?â you heard some shuffling in the background, and noises that sounded a lot like your boyfriend and hoshi.Â
âum, yeah. you want me to pass him the phone?â you could clearly hear seungcheolâs confusion in his voice, but you werenât in the âshitting rainbows and unicornsâ mood, so you didnât even bother with hiding your annoyance.Â
âfan-fucking-tastic.âÂ
you couldnât believe he actually forgot about your anniversary. you had been planning this date for such a long time now. getting a reservation at this restaurant wasnât easy, even mingyu had to pull a few strings and flash a couple of polite smiles, so you could come here on the exact day of your milestone. you prepared matching outfits for godâs sake. how could have he forgotten?Â
âtell him not to come back home tonight,â you said, and hung up the phone before seungcheol could say anything.Â
you spend the whole ride home trying to keep your tears from falling. you didnât know what was worse - sitting in a restaurant for two hours waiting for someone who was over at his friendâs house drinking soju, or that the love of your life forgot about something so important.Â
the second you got inside your apartment you practically ripped off the dress you were wearing, suddenly almost disgusted by the feel of it on your skin. your shoes joined soon after, and not even five minutes after getting back home you got changed into PJs (for once not being mingyuâs shirt), and poured yourself a glass of wine.Â
âhappy anniversary i quess.âÂ
when you were about to turn off all of the lights in the living room for the night, you heard the door open and close with much more force than needed.Â
âbaby? baby, where ar-,â he emerged from around the corner, stopping right in front of you. you took in his form - hair tousled from the wind, his shirt from practice still on, and shoes on his feet, which never happened - mingyu never wore shoes inside the house. huh, he mustâve been in a real hurry to get here.Â
âiâm so sorry, i got here as quickly as possible,â he said, a little out of breath. you had to stop the urge to laugh in his face because what the hell?Â
âtoo bad you didnât bother to show up where you really were supposed to be, mingyu,â you snickered, anger radiating off of you. your boyfriend knew he was in deep shit the second seungcheol shot him a worried look, and how he would make it up to you, he had no idea.Â
âi know, baby-,âÂ
âdonât call me that. you donât deserve it mingyu,â you pointed a finger at his chest. just then he noticed you got your nails done to match the design on his tie, and he could swear he died a little bit at that moment. âdo you have any idea how humiliated i felt sitting there like an idiot, waiting for my fucking boyfriend who decided to go out with his friends on our anniversary?âÂ
âi called your friends, your family. i thought you got into an accident for fucks sake,â your voice cracked at the end of the sentence, as you finally felt something else than just anger. the thought of losing mingyu wasnât something you wanted to think about on your anniversary night. âi was so excited for this, and you knew it,â you took in a shaky inhale, once again feeling the tears brimming in your eyes. Â
it took everything from you not to hug mingyu, he looked so⌠sad, and just so defeated, and that wasnât something you were used to seeing on your boyfriendâs face.Â
âthere are a thousand excuses on my mind right now, but none of them will excuse my behaviour,â he sighed, his lower lip trembling. please don't cry, please donât cry. âi forgot,â he said, straightening his back a little. âi simply forgot, and nothing i do will make up for it.âÂ
tears clouded your eyes, and you couldnât help when they started falling down your cheeks, probably ruining the makeup you put so much effort into. if you knew youâd end up crying on your anniversary night youâd use a waterproof mascara. mingyu hesitantly raised his hand, as if he was afraid youâd run away from him, but when he saw you didnât move an inch, he started wiping off the tears of your face with a gentle swipe of his thumb, almost as if you were about to fall apart.Â
âsay something. no, yell at me,â he said, and put your hand against his chest. âyou can even hit me,â mingyu said, pleading in his eyes. âplease, just do something.âÂ
âi donât want to yell at you,â you sniffled, wiping off the rest of the tears yourself. âand i definitely donât want to hit you. i just-,â you looked at him and only then noticed the dark circles under his eyes. did his face get slimmer too? âwhen was the last time you slept?â
he looked a bit taken aback by your question, considering he was begging you to hit him like a second ago. âto be honest, i donât know, but i took some naps in the practice room. thatâs not import-,â Â
âwhen was the last time you ate?â you interrupted him again.Â
his eyes softened because there was no way he just stood you up on one of the most important days of the year, and you were asking him about his well being. âi don't know.âÂ
i donât know. hearing those words from a person who inhaled food like a vacuum, and could never say no to a snack broke your heart. how did you not notice how exhausted he was before?Â
âoh, mingyu,â you said, tearing up again. âwhy didnât you tell me, i wouldâve brought you some food.âÂ
âi know, but i didnât want to burden you. i knew iâd be fine,â he said, voice gentle. âbesides, thatâs not important now. letâs talk about how big of an asshole i am,â he grabbed your face in both of his hands, tilting it more upwards.Â
âhow can you say itâs not important?â you murmured, nuzzling your face further into his palm. âi donât think iâve ever seen you without food for longer than an hour.âÂ
âhey, i donât eat that much,â you couldnât help but giggle at his words, and seeing mingyuâs face lit up at your, albeit quiet, laughter, you felt the anger leaving you for good. Â
maybe you were too selfish? all you lived for for the past week was the date, but in the process you managed to somehow miss how exhausted your boyfriend was. yes, he did forget, but he was so overworked lately, you couldnât really blame him, right? and it wasnât like you were a saint either, you missed some dates in the past too.Â
âwhatever youâre thinking, drop it,â he said sternly. âdonât try to make any excuses for me. i forgot, okay? itâs all my fault.âÂ
technically you knew you had every right to be furious at him, hell - an hour you cursed him out with every curse word you knew, but maybe it wasn't the time to think straight, and just give the light of your life a second chance. âi donât want to fight,â you said, wrapping your hands around his wrists. âand we still have,â you looked over at the clock, âtwo hours before midnight. we have the wine, and i think i have a pizza in the freezer.âÂ
mingyu shook his head in disbelief. âthereâs no way youâre real.â leaning in, he placed a peck on your cheek, filling your chest with a warm, fuzzy feeling. âyou look beautiful by the way,â he whispered, and put his forehead against yours. âiâm really sorry.âÂ
âi know, gyu. i know,â you whispered. âand mingyu?âÂ
âyeah?âÂ
âyou can call me âbabyâ again.â

YOUâRE SUPPOSED TO FIGHT ME NOT F*CK ME!
yan! school grass (most handsome/perfect guy)/rival x crossdresser! male! reader x yan! friends - part one
tw/cw: mention of abusive parents (but not readerâs) and yandere themes. also your rival has some repressed sexual urges, he really needs to get laid or some head or something-
just read migi and dali and gahd NOW I WANNA WRITE A WHOLE CROSSDRESS /GENDERBENDER BL NOVEL IM IN HORRID ROTTING
Like I imagine this the best with stoic and/or tsun yans the best. You know those types that want to be perfect but only feels perfect when theyâre with reader.
ive always loved these tropes as a kid, from mulan to that one tawog episode where darwin fell in love with fem! gumball and like this was even before i knew i wasnt cis but gahd AAAAAAA
also inspired by @moyazaika âs rival work. go read it!!
but anyways have the fic, lowercase intentional for first part to differentiate povs.
it was a dare given by your friend group earlier last weekend. wear the girls uniform and a wig for the entire month. it was easy to get the materials necessary for the most part. your mother had several wigs and was more than happy to style her son in feminine clothing. she was just amazing and supportive about your whims like that.
it didnât take long for you to realize that no one recognized you in your new look.
the day started like many of your other ones at the school, youâd race your rival as the first one in class and whoever wins gets rights to a smug look on their face until the next thing you guys eventually compete on.
but unlike the crestfallen expression you expected â nay wanted â from that stupid pretty boy, you were greeted by what you could only described as complete bafflement.
âwhat?â despite having a different reaction from what you imagined, you managed to keep a composed appearance. âcat got your tongue?â
âah. . .â
and that were the only words he said to you the entire day. nothing else. not a single groan of anger whenever you answered everything correctly, he didnât even attempt at stopping you mid-way or disagree with you answer simply because he wanted to annoy you.
and so you couldnât help it, as soon as the bell rang signalling lunch time you swiftly turned around to face him.
âare you alright?â
you inquired. not at all worried about his well-being at the slightest. you hated him with all your being after all and you didnât make an effort to be soft with your tone either.
âh-huh?â he looked dazed. like his head had been in the clouds and you just yanked him down to ground.
your rival never got distracted.
âyouââ you reached out about to smack his face to keep him in check.
âif youâll excuse me!â he smacked your hand out of the way, screeched at you, and then left in a hurry to who knows where.
nevermind that was definitely him. that silly brat hated it whenever you touched him. he must have just been having issues at home again or something.
Haoyu was trembling â shaking uncontrollably as his breaths turned more shallow by the second. His heart was pumping blood in places of his body where it shouldnât have been in the middle of school hours. Sweat lined his entire skin and it didnât help how the bathroom he rushed into had nothing to keep the temperature down.
Who were you?
You sat at his rivalâs seat. That nasty kid that always got in his nerves. No one questioned the boyâs absence and he would have asked the teachers on what had happened if you didnât suddenly take his breath away.
You were, ethereal. Otherworldy even. When he first saw you he was taken away by the way your hair moved in the wind (if only he knew . . .).
Still, he was far too distracted by [Y/N]âs absence to properly let the feeling simmer.
Then, all that went away when you reeled in his mind back at you again at class. You were incredible, capable, intelligent, and oh so perfect. But unlike that stupid child that usually sat in front of him, he did not feel an ounce of envy at all.
If only who could see your eyes as you spoke; the tone of your voice conveyed so much passion that he wanted to see in those beautiful (e/c) orbs.
And his prayers were granted by none other than the goddess that is you,
âAre you alright?â
Your voice? Oh your voice! Haoyuâs heard it already of course, but each new time you spoke it was like a whole new melody, a new piece that immediately turned into his favorite.
His mind was too fried with these thoughts, thoughts that his parents would no doubt beat out of him if they found out.
His feels the parts down there suddenly move. He wasnât completely unfamiliar with the phenomenon. He wasnât without his hormones after all. But this was the first time it ever reacted that way so strongly, like if he didnât give it attention himself itâd explode.
âMmphâŚâ
And for the time in his entire life, Haoyu does something he knew his parents would definitely be disappointed if not livid about. A hand on his mouth, and another in his school uniformâs pants.
lunch time.
you usually spent those studying or preparing for the next class as hanging out with your friends always ended with you being too distracted to do schoolwork but today you had to show up with âproofâ that you went through with their dare.
âyiran ? yichen ?â
no response.
you sighed. as usual, the twins were late. what did you expect? those two would be caught dead before they could be early much less found in the library.
and so you spent the entire time reading,
unaware of the crowd that formed around you while you were busy studying.

A Minor Annoyance
Theyâre back at base again and Ghost has been holed up in his office for the majority of the week in an attempt to get back on track with his ever-increasing backlog of paperwork. The knock on his door is therefore welcome, though surprising. He sits up straighter, wincing when several joints pop in protest, calling for them to come in.
Gaz leans himself against the doorframe. He, too, looks exhausted. Exhausted and irritated.
âI need your help wrangling Soap,â he says without preamble or an arduous attempt at small talk.
Ghost blinks at him.
âWhat?â
âHeâs a stubborn bastard who wonât listen to reason,â Gaz shrugs. âAnd if it comes down to knocking him out in order to get him to rest, Iâd rather have help carrying his leaden arse back to his room.â
Ghost blames sleep deprivation for the way he snorts.
âAlright,â he acquiesces, following behind the sergeant with amused wariness dogging his steps.
-
They find Soap outside surrounded by the scent of petrichor and bleary-eyed recruits. A gust of wind weaves around them, its chilling bite unmistakable where it tugs upon their hair and clothes, rustling through the pine-ridden area like an unexpected whisper. Ghost waits for Soap to send the group out on the track before he approaches, brow furrowed in response to the thickness layered over his voice. He'd sounded as if he spoke from deep in his throat, and with an air of a man pretending as if it didnât pain him to do so. As he draws closer, Ghost allows the gravel beneath his feet to shift deliberately.
Soap jerks, swings his head around when Ghost comes to stand at his side, looking up at him with bloodshot eyes. The tip of his nose is red too, his cheeks a tad puffy, though he carries himself admirably regardless. Straight-backed and refusing to huddle into the oversized jacket he's wearing.
"Lt.? What're y'doing âere?â
âI'm relieving you of your duties. Garrick can take it from here,â he replies, throwing Gaz a look that is met with surreptitious thumbs-up. He'll ask Price to look into leave for him. Soap's not the only one itching to work himself into an early grave by the looks of it.
It must be a cold day in hell, he muses, if I'm the one with the healthiest work-life balance at the moment.
âWhat?! Get tae and dinnae talk pish! I'm fine. I can work, Sir, I dinnae needââ
âThat was an order, Sergeant. You can either leave on your own two feet or slung over my shoulder. Choice is yours.â
Soap's eyes narrow, his shoulders drawing up defensively, lips pulled back in a sneer. âYou wouldn't dare.â
Which is about the worst thing he could've possibly said.
All at once Simon is twelve years old again with a defiant Tommy glaring daggers at him from across the stained rug, those fateful words a hiss through clenched teeth. Even the keen knowledge of their motherâs impending disappointment, how she'd give him a hushed dressing down in the aftermath of their scuffle, hadn't curbed his need to lunge for him. It's like the flip of a switch. Three simple words and suddenly Ghost is vibrating with the desire to prove Soap wrong. Some previously dormant code ingrained deep in his DNA flaring to life with all the speed of an oxygen fire.
Those memories carry him forward and the sudden shift in Johnnyâs expression, the moment he realises heâs sealed his fate proper, sends a thrill skittering down his spine.
âWait, Ghost, Iââ is about as far as he comes before the words change into an unintelligible blend of Scottish nonsense, voice strained from having his diaphragm compressed. âPut me doon ye clarty bastard! Gaz!â
âDream come true for you, huh?â Gaz says with a jaunty wave at their retreating backs, mirth etched into the crinkled lines around his eyes.
âI'll fuckinâ kill ye, ye clipe wopper! Lemme doon so ah can wring âis bleedinâ neck!â Soap barks, squirming in Ghost's grasp like a recalcitrant eel. It's a blessing that Soap's already running on fumes since, true to his callsign, it's damn near impossible to keep him securely slung over his shoulder.
By his third attempt to claw Ghost's back to shreds, Ghost sighs and pats him firmly on the rump. Soap instantly stills. Flushed to high-heavens if Ghost were to hazard a guess â not that he can see him from this angle. âSettle down, Sergeant, and I might be convinced to let you walk on your own.â
âHate you,â Johnny wheezes.
Ghost grunts and maneuvers the door open, settling Johnny back on his feet again when it swings shut with a resounding thud. He steadies him when he wobbles on his feet and Johnny lets him with little fuss. Resigned to his fate he shuffles along after Ghost, who detours briefly to score each of them a cuppa. He ladles honey into Johnnyâs mug and presses it into his freezing hands. Gets a muttered, unenthusiastic and intentionally mocking âcheers,â for it.
âYou're a right cunt when you're sick.â
âYer a right cunt all oâ the time,â Soap fires back. He's glaring mutinously into his least preferred beverage, cradled close to his chest while he watches Ghost tidy up after them. âJusâ hate beinâ sick âs all. Feel proper bogginâ no matter how many times ah shower anâ my nose is both runny and stuffed as if thâ physics of tha is s'pose to make sense. Could'a powered through it.â
âThat's how you end up forcefully strapped to a bed in medical suffering from pneumonia and severe dehydration.â
Johnny pauses. A small smile graces his face and Ghost hastily turns back to wiping down the counters to keep himself from being blinded.
One shouldn't stare directly into the sun after all.
âSpeakinâ from experience, sir?â
Ghost doesn't answer, as if that isn't a reply in-and-of-itself, merely nudges Johnny back into moving. He gets him all the way to his door before Soap's brow creases in confusion. His mouth opens, closes, opens again while Ghost trudges inside with little fanfare, door left gaping in silent invitation. Johnny seizes it with both hands after dithering at his threshold a second longer.
He examines the impersonal space with keen interest, slurping obnoxiously at his tea as if to detract from how his hands flutter over scuffed paint and barren walls, his gaze catching over the miniscule signs someone is living there at all.
âWhy'ahm I âere, Ghost?â Soap asks when he's done, pinning him in place with the intensity of his stare. It's the same focus he dedicates to a particularly difficult math equation or sketching up blueprints with the precision of a surgeon's scalpel. It's a heady feeling to be on the receiving end of it. Heady and terrifying.
âFigured you'd appreciate the en-suite,â Ghost says, violently stamping down on the truth until it comes out in a statement easier to digest. âAnd someone needs to make sure you stay in place. Bloody flight risk that you are.â
You'd look good in my clothes, in my bed, as a permanent fixture here. This is as much for me as it is for you. A taste of what I can't have.
He hopes Soap doesn't read between the lines this time â always too perceptive for Ghost's questionable sanity.
âAnâ where d'ye plan on sleeping?â Johnny smiles, a mote amused and as sweet as the honey lingering on his lips.
âFloor. Or Gaz's room if he doesn't delete those pictures he took.â
Johnnyâs eyes go dark as sin.
âOh, that'll be thâ least of his worries.â
âSleep, MacTavish. You can come up with your convoluted revenge plot later.â
âYes sir.â He gives a lazy salute and flops down on Ghost's bed with a grunt â boots and all, the absolute heathen. Ghost watches him rearrange himself into a position more befitting a person who's suffered a recent spinal fracture when Johnny peers up at him again from under thick lashes. âDinnae think you're exempt from those, Lt. Ah know where ye live now.â
Ghost sighs and tosses the hoodie folded over his chair at Johnnyâs face, taking great pleasure in closing the bathroom door in the face of Johnny's indignant name-calling.

You must be haunting me..!
âËâżË° In which you're forced to join the ghost hunting at the haunted house with your friends, but then they left you with the lingering ghost.
âËâżË° Pairings: Ghost!Satoru X Fem! Reader
âËâżË° SMUT, oral sex (f receiving), missionary, p in v, swearing
It's kinda long, but enjoy ;D
⎠â Ë。𦹠â°°âŠâŽ â Ë。𦹠â°°âŠâŽ â Ë。𦹠â°°âŠâŽ â Ë・
The soft hum of conversation and the clatter of dishes filled the cozy little restaurant as you sat with your friends. It was one of those rare moments when the four of you managed to gather around a table without someone running late or bailing at the last minute. The smell of freshly cooked ramen filled the air, and you were halfway through a steaming bowl when Nobara spoke up, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
"You guys know about that old haunted house, right?" Nobara's voice cut through the conversation like a knife. She leaned forward, elbows on the table, her usual boldness giving way to an almost mischievous grin. "We should totally go check it out tonight."
You paused mid-bite, glancing between Yuji and Megumi, unsure if she'd just suggested what you thought she had. Yuji, ever the thrill-seeker, looked intrigued already. He set down his chopsticks and shot Nobara a grin. "Ghost hunting, huh? I'm in! It sounds like fun."
Megumi, however, wasnât sold. He raised an eyebrow, the usual calm expression on his face hardening slightly. "That place? You mean the one everyone says is cursed?" He sighed, clearly conflicted. "I donât know, Nobara. People have gone in and⌠well, weird things happen."
Nobara waved her hand dismissively. "C'mon, Megumi. Weird things always happen when you look for them. It's just an old house. Whatâs the worst that could happen?"
You could see the hesitation in Megumi's eyes as he looked at you, like he was silently asking if you were going to back him up on this. But then Yuji nudged him with his elbow. "Donât be such a buzzkill. It's just one night, and it'll be over before you know it."
Megumi groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Fine, but if something actually happens, don't say I didn't warn you."
As they turned to you, all eyes locked onto yours, you could feel the weight of the decision pressing in. You werenât exactly eager to spend your night in a house famous for scaring the living daylights out of anyone who dared enter. But with your friends clearly set on going, it was hard to see a way out of it.
âËâżË° âËâżË° âËâżË° âËâżË° âËâżË° âËâżË° âËâżË° âËâżË°
Whether you like it or not, you'd still need to join anyway. The house stood before you like a shadow of its former self, tall and looming, with broken windows and peeling paint. The air around it seemed unnaturally still, as if the night itself held its breath. The old iron gate creaked in the wind, and the overgrown lawn looked like it hadnât been touched in decades. A cold chill ran down your spine as you stared at the dark structure.
"Well... here we are," Yuji said, trying to sound casual but failing to hide the slight tremor in his voice.
Nobara grinned, her excitement unshaken. "Perfect. Look at this place! It's just like one of those haunted houses from the movies. Weâre definitely getting some good stories out of this."
Megumi sighed, his eyes narrowing at the house as though sizing up an enemy. "This is a terrible idea."
"You already agreed, remember?" Nobara teased, nudging him. "Donât chicken out now."
You stayed quiet, your gaze locked on the front door that looked like it hadnât been opened in years. The longer you stood there, the more the oppressive atmosphere of the place seemed to weigh on you. It was as if the house was watching, waiting.
"Alright, letâs do this," Yuji said, breaking the silence as he pushed open the rusty gate, the screeching sound making you wince. He led the way with a flashlight in hand, illuminating the narrow path that led to the entrance.
As the group walked closer to the house, every step seemed heavier than the last. Nobara was practically bouncing with excitement, while Megumi lagged behind, his eyes scanning every shadow, every movement.
You felt your heart hammering in your chest as you approached the front door. There was no turning back now.
The air inside the house was thick with dust and the faint scent of mildew. Each step you took echoed through the empty hallways, but after a while, the fear you felt outside began to fade. The house was silentâtoo silentâbut as time passed, nothing unusual happened.
âThis place isnât so bad,â Yuji said with a forced laugh, trying to lighten the mood. âAll those stories mustâve been made up.â
âRight?â Nobara added, glancing around at the cracked walls and sagging ceiling. âA haunted house, my foot. I bet people just freak themselves out.â
Even Megumi, who had been tense the whole time, seemed to relax a little. âLetâs just hurry up and leave. Weâve seen enough.â
You nodded, relieved that the visit might end without anything strange happening. But just as you were about to agree and suggest heading back, the sound of footsteps echoed down the hallway behind youâfootsteps that didnât belong to any of you.
You froze, your heart suddenly pounding in your chest. Yuji, who had been walking a little ahead, turned to face the hallway behind him. âDid⌠Did you guys hear that?â
Before anyone could answer, the unmistakable sound of footsteps grew louder. Then, at the far end of the hallway, a pair of glowing blue eyes appeared, floating in the darkness. The light from the eyes was dim at first, but as they grew brighter, the air around you felt colder, heavier.
Nobaraâs bravado cracked, her voice trembling as she whispered, âWhat the hell is that?â
Without warning, Yuji let out a panicked yelp and bolted down the hallway. âNope! Iâm out!â His footsteps pounded against the wooden floor as he sprinted ahead.
âYuji, wait!â Nobara called after him, but the fear in her voice betrayed her own nerves. She and Megumi quickly ran after him, disappearing around a corner.
You stood frozen for a moment, the glowing eyes still fixed on you from the other end of the hall. A cold sweat ran down your back, and you turned to chase after them. But before you could make it to the hallway's end, the door to the room you were in slammed shut with a deafening bang.
You grabbed the handle, twisting it frantically, but it wouldnât budge. âGuys?â you called out, your voice breaking as you pounded on the door. âGuys, the doorâs stuck!â
But all you heard in return was the faint echo of your voice, swallowed by the heavy silence. The glowing eyes vanished, leaving you alone in the dark room, the air around you suddenly colder than before.
Your heart raced as you tugged at the door, desperate to get it open. Panic surged through you, but before you could call out for your friends again, you felt something elseâsomething cold. Icy fingers wrapped around your waist from behind, pulling you away from the door.
You gasped, struggling for breath, your heart hammering in your chest. Every muscle in your body tensed, but when you turned around, the sight before you made your breath hitch in an entirely different way.
Standing before you was a manâa ghost, no doubt about it. His skin was impossibly pale, almost glowing under the faint light of the room. His eyes, an eerie yet mesmerizing shade of blue, twinkled with mischief. A sly smile curled on his lips, and though the chill from his touch still lingered on your skin, there was something undeniably handsome about him.
"Whoa there," he said, his voice smooth and playful. "Where do you think you're going, running off like that?"
You blinked, your mind struggling to process what was happening. His arms stayed casually wrapped around your waist, holding you close in a way that felt far too intimate for a ghost.
âWho⌠who are you?â you stammered, trying to push back, but your movements were weak under his steady gaze.
He tilted his head, amusement dancing in his eyes. âNameâs Gojo Satoru,â he introduced, his voice laced with confidence. âAnd you are⌠definitely not supposed to be here.â
You swallowed hard, trying to pull your thoughts together, but he made it impossible to focus. âW-what do you mean?â
Satoruâs grin widened as he leaned in a little closer, his cold breath brushing against your neck. âI mean, a place like this isnât meant for someone as cute as you. So what brings you to my humble, haunted abode?â
The way he looked at youâhow his gaze roamed over you like he was savoring every secondâmade you painfully aware of just how touchy he was. Even though his skin was cold, his hand slid from your waist to the small of your back, fingers lingering as though he were still alive and not some phantom.
Your face heated, though you werenât sure if it was fear or something else. âWeâmy friends and Iâwe just came to check out the place.â
Satoru chuckled softly, shaking his head. âCuriosityâs dangerous, you know. Especially around here.â His voice dropped into a teasing tone as his other hand lightly brushed your hair back from your face. âBut then again, I canât say I mind having a little company.â
You were flustered, torn between the chilling realization that you were talking to a ghost and how undeniably charming, even flirty, he was. Every word he said dripped with playful teasing, and his constant touch only made your pulse race faster.
âAre you always this... forward?â you managed to ask, trying to regain some composure.
Satoru smirked, not bothering to hide his amusement. âWhen I see something I like? Absolutely. BesidesâŚâ His hand trailed down your arm, sending shivers down your spine. âItâs been a long time since Iâve had anyone to talk to. Might as well enjoy the moment, donât you think?â
His playful, flirtatious demeanor wasnât helping your already frazzled nerves, but despite yourself, you couldnât deny the strange pull he had over you. He was a ghostâhe shouldnât feel so real, so present. And yet, here he was, teasing you, touching you like you werenât separated by life and death.
Satoru's arms stayed firmly wrapped around you, his presence overwhelming in the stillness of the room. His smirk widened as he studied your flustered expression, clearly enjoying your reaction. He leaned in a little closer, his breath cool against your skin.
âYou know," he drawled, his voice dripping with playful mischief, "it's pretty naughty of you to be in here alone... with a male ghost, no less."
You blinked, his words sinking in. Alone? Your gaze quickly flickered around the room, only now realizing where you were standing. The creaky old bed in the corner, the tattered curtains, and the musty scentâit wasnât just any room. It was the bedroom.
Your face burned with embarrassment, and you tried to pull away, but Satoru held you firmly in place, a wicked grin spreading across his face.
"Something wrong?" he teased, eyes sparkling with amusement as he watched your discomfort. "I thought youâd be more adventurous, sneaking around a haunted house at night. Or were you hoping for a different kind of thrill?"
You opened your mouth to protest, but his words caught you off guard. Before you could speak, Satoru tilted his head slightly, his voice softening into a low, seductive whisper. âTell me, have you ever thought about... experiencing something new?â
You hesitated, your heart pounding in your chest. âWhat do you mean?â
The grin on his face deepened, and without answering, Satoru leaned in closer. His hand moved from your back to cup your cheek gently, his icy fingers sending a shiver down your spine. His face hovered just inches from yours, and for a moment, everything seemed to stop. The air felt thick, charged with an intensity you hadnât expected.
âWhat I mean,â he murmured, his lips brushing yours ever so slightly, âis something like this.â
Before you could react, he closed the distance, pressing his lips to yours in a kiss that was surprisingly soft, but undeniably electrifying. The coldness of his touch contrasted with the warmth that suddenly bloomed in your chest, and for a second, the world outside that room ceased to exist.
Satoruâs kiss was slow, teasing, as though savoring the moment. He was a ghost, an ethereal being, and yet somehow, he felt so real, his presence so tangible that it made your head spin. You couldnât tell if it was the fear, the surprise, or something else entirely, but you felt like you were sinking deeper into the strange, thrilling connection that held you both together.
When he finally pulled back, his eyes gleamed with playful mischief. âSo⌠howâs that for something new?â
Before you could even gather your thoughts or catch your breath, Satoru leaned in again, this time with far less patience. His lips crashed against yours in a rougher, more urgent kiss, one that left no room for hesitation. Your breath hitched as his hands tightened around your waist, pulling you flush against him, the chill of his touch seeping through your clothes.
The softness from before was gone, replaced by an intensity that sent shockwaves through your body. His kiss was deeper, more demanding, like he was claiming you in that moment, and despite every rational thought screaming at you to push him away, your body betrayed you, rooted in place by the magnetic pull he had over you.
The sensation of his lips, cold yet somehow fiery with passion, made your head spin, your mind blanking out everything except for him. His fingers trailed up your back, sending a rush of goosebumps across your skin as his mouth moved against yours, not giving you a second to process what was happening.
Satoru broke the kiss for a split second, his lips hovering dangerously close to yours as he whispered, âYou taste even better than I imagined.â His voice was low, husky, dripping with a teasing tone that made your heart pound even harder.
Before you could respond, before you could even catch your breath, he was on you again, his kiss rougher still, like he couldnât get enough of you. His hands roamed your body, cold and possessive, as though he was determined to make sure you wouldnât forget thisâwouldnât forget him.
And with the way your body reacted, you werenât sure you ever could.
Without warning, Satoru's hands tightened around you, and with a swift, effortless motion, he pushed you backward. You stumbled, barely managing to gasp before your back hit the mattress, sinking into the creaky old bed. The springs groaned beneath your weight, and you stared up at him, your heart racing.
Satoru loomed over you, his pale face framed by the dim light filtering through the cracked window. His eyes gleamed with a mixture of mischief and something darker, more primal. His grin widened, satisfied with how easily he had you at his mercy.
Satoru grabbed the bottom of your shirt and pulled it up, revealing your lacy bra. He took a moment to admire the sight, before straddling your waist, his hands gripping both of your wrist together with his hand.
"You're mine now," Satoru growled, his voice thick with lust. "I'll take what I want from you." He pressed a kiss to your neck, nipping at your skin, before trailing his lips down to your collarbone, making your breath hitched and let out a small whimper. "And tonight, I want to fill you up with every drop I have."
Satoru's hands roamed your body, unfastening the clasp of your bra, letting it fall to the side. He leaned in, taking one nipple into his mouth, sucking and nipping at it, before switching to the other one. His hips rocked against you, grinding against you through your shorts. You feel your panties sticking to your pussy because of how wet you are.
"Soon, my sweet," he murmured, his voice low and seductive. "Soon you'll be begging for more." You couldnât help but rock your hips back to his harden cock, needing to release the desire pooling between your thighs.
Satoru chuckled darkly, feeling your body respond to him. "You're such a tease," he said, his voice laced with desire. He pressed his body further down on yours. "But I like it," he admitted, his mouth finding yours in a deep, hungry kiss.
Breaking away, Satoru trailed his lips down your body, his hands exploring your curves, making your body shivered slightly with his cold lips. For some reason, it makes your desire for him heightened. He pull your shorts down before hooking his fingers into your panties, pulling them down your legs, tossing them aside. He could see the wetness, smell the scent of arousal, and it drove him wild.
"You're so ready for me," he said, his voice low and husky. He spread your legs wider, positioning himself between them. "But first," he said, his eyes locked on your wet pussy, "I need a taste."
"W-wa- ngh..!" before you could protest, he leaned in, his tongue flicking out to lick your folds, tasting the sweetness. Satoru groaned, his cock throbbing at the sweet taste of you. He began to lick and suck, his tongue exploring every inch of you, driving your mind to a haze, your back arching slightly at the feeling of the wet muscle exploring your cunt. Your hand instantly went down to tugged on his hair, his tongue is cold too, and it provides you a different sensation.
Satoru grinned, feeling your hand in his hair. "You like that, don't you?" He asked, his voice muffled by your body. He continued to pleasure you, his tongue teasing your clit, flicking it before he sucked it into his mouth. He could feel your body tremble beneath him, the sounds of your moans and whimpers fueling his lust.
"S-satoru..I-I can't..!" you moaned, your clit too sensitive at every single flick of his tongue.
"It's okay, baby. Cum for me," he growled, his grip on your hips tightening. "Let me taste it." He continued to work your body, his fingers joining in, slipping inside your wetness. He knew the perfect rhythm to push you over the edge, and he was determined to succeed.
Satoru's own arousal was nearly unbearable, but he wouldn't let himself climax until you did. He wanted to feel your body quiver against his mouth, your release coating his tongue.
You feel the coil in your belly tighten and he knew you were close by the way your walls tighten around his fingers. You bucked your hips against his mouth, seeking for more pleasure. "F-fuck..faster please..!" you begged.
He smirked as he obliged, speeding up his ministrations, sucking harder on your clit, his fingers pumping inside your pussy. "You want it faster, huh?" He teased, his voice thick with lust. "You'll get it."
He could feel the tension building, your body trembling as he pushed you closer and closer to the edge. He didn't want to stop, didn't want to miss the moment you came undone. "That's it, darling," he encouraged, his voice low and encouraging. "Let it go, let me feel it."
Satoru increased the pressure, his tongue flicking over your clit, his fingers thrusting in and out, hitting your sweet spot. "N-ngh! Satoru..I-I'm gonna...g-gonna cum-!"
It was only a matter of moments before he felt your body shudder, walls clenching around his fingers as you came. He lapped up your juices, savoring the taste, before pulling away.
"Good girl," he praised, smirking as he wiped his mouth. "Now it's my turn." He pull down his pant enough to reveal his cock, long and girthy as he positioned himself at your entrance, throbbing with need.
Satoru pushed his cock into you slowly, groaning as his length fills you up and how tight your pussy is. You bit your lower lip, holding in your moans. "Y-you're so big Satoru.." you said softly.
Satoru smirked, his eyes never leaving yours. "You'll get used to it," he promised, before he began to move. Slow, deep thrusts, letting you get accustomed to him. He could feel your body adjusting, tightening around him, and it made him even more aroused.
He leaned down, capturing your lips in a deep, searing kiss, his hips rolling, grinding against you, your moans muffled with the kiss. "God, you feel so good," he whispered against your mouth. His hand reached up to cup your breast, squeezing it gently, before moving down to stroke your clit. Your body quiver, your nub still sensitive.
"Let me hear you, sweet," he growled, his voice low and commanding. "Let me hear how much you love this." He began to thrust harder, faster, his cock sliding in and out of her, the sound of bodies slapping together filling the room.
"H-hah! F-feel so good..!" you moaned, eyes rolling back to the back of your skull at each of his thrust against your G-spot. Satoru's grip on your breast tightened, his other hand holding your hip, keeping you pinned. "Cum for me, my sweet," he demanded, his voice thick with lust. "Cum while I'm inside you."
Satoru groaned, his own pleasure building. He was close, so very close. "That's it," he praised, his thrusts becoming more erratic, his body losing control. "You're so tight, you're going to make me lose it."
His thrusts became more desperate, more frantic, his grip on your body tightening. He could feel the tip of his cock swelling, the need to release building. "Come for me," he growled, the last of his restraint slipping
"C-cumming!" you screamed. Satoru could feel your body tensing again, and it was enough to push him over the edge. With a deep growl, Satoru let go, his cock pulsing inside you as he filled you with his seed. "Fuck," he swore, his body trembling as the wave of pleasure crashed over him.
He collapsed onto your body, his breathing heavy, his cock still buried deep inside you. "God, that was good," he murmured, his voice hoarse. He stayed there for a moment, enjoying the feeling of being connected to you, before pulling out and rolling off you.
"That was...something.." you spoke, still trying to process what had happened. Satoru chuckles softly, his finger caressing your cheeks with a smile. "Sleep my darling, I'll clean you up."
For some reason, his voice makes you sleepy, like he's lulling you to sleep. So you decided to trust him and closed your eyes. It doesn't take too long until you finally fell asleep by his side. By the side of a ghost.

You blinked against the soft morning light filtering through the curtains, slowly becoming aware of your surroundings. The warmth of the blankets cocooned you, and for a moment, you felt safe and content. But as your eyes adjusted, the reality of where you were began to seep back in.
You turned your head to the side and froze. Yuji and Megumi were sitting on the edge of the bed, concern etched across their faces. Nobara stood nearby, her arms crossed, looking equally worried.
âThank goodness youâre awake!â Yuji exclaimed, relief flooding his voice. âWe were so worried!â
âWhat happened?â you croaked, the memories of the night flooding back in a chaotic rush. The haunted house, Satoru...
âWe found you unconscious in that bedroom,â Megumi explained, his expression a mix of guilt and concern. âWe thought youâd just gotten scared or something, but you wouldnât wake up.â
Nobara stepped forward, her brows furrowing in apology. âIâm so sorry for leaving you alone! We should have stayed with you.â
You shook your head, still trying to piece together what had happened. âI was fine. I⌠I was just resting.â
âResting?â Yuji raised an eyebrow, his tone skeptical. âYou were out cold! What really happened?â
You hesitated, the memories of how you just had sex with the ghost in the house still vivid in your mind. âItâs... complicated,â you finally said, your heart racing at the thought of how to explain.
Megumi's gaze softened. âWe just want to make sure youâre okay. We thought maybe something... strange happened to you in that house.â
You glanced at them, their concern genuine, and felt a wave of gratitude mixed with confusion. âIâm fine now,â you assured them, though the lingering feelings from the night before were hard to shake. âReally. Just a little... overwhelmed.â
Yuji grinned, though his relief was clear. âWell, letâs get you something to eat. You need to regain your strength after scaring us like that!â
As they helped you sit up, the warmth of their friendship surrounded you, but the memories of what had happened in that haunted house lingered at the back of your mind, leaving you wondering about the strange encounter that felt so surreal. You hope..that it's actually a real encounter.

Shanks x reader taking bath together! Something fluff ya know? (No need to be smut)
Hey Anon, thank you for this lovely request. I'm sorry if this took a bit long but I just fell in love with how this story could possibly take place, so I have added a few more details I hope you will enjoy. It's a bit longer that I expected, but I kinda like how it turned out. Thank you again, let me know if you like it in the comments and enjoy <3<3
A Soothing Surprise
Characters: Shanks x female reader Word count: 1922 words
The Red-Haired Pirates were anchored near a small, peaceful island, the kind where nothing much happened. Shanks had been walking a bit slower these days, grimacing now and then while pretending it was nothing. It wasnât his first time dealing with an aching back, but this time felt different and no amount of rum, jokes, or teasing could ease the nagging pain. He had been feeling it for almost a week now. That dull, persistent ache in his back that seemed to remind him with every movement: you're not 20 anymore. His crew, ever the jokers, hadn't let him forget it either. They teased him relentlessly about "getting old," and while Shanks played along with his usual carefree smile, a part of him couldn't help but think about it. The once endless nights of drinking and partying were now followed by stiff mornings, and though he was still the infamous Red-Haired Shanks, there was no denying that time was catching up with him.
"You're getting old, Captain!" Yasopp had joked earlier that morning, throwing Shanks a knowing grin.
Shanks had laughed it off, but his smile didnât quite reach his eyes. He knew they werenât wrong. Sure, he was still powerful, still strong, but he wasnât in his twenties anymore, and sometimes the creaking bones reminded him of that fact. Normally, the banter and the drinking would lift his spirits, but tonight, even with the party in full swing on the deck, Shanks felt a little distant, a little thoughtful.
Shanks had always been the one to go out of his way to do things for his crew, whether it was helping Lucky Roo gather supplies, buying cigarettes for Benn, or giving Yasopp new can of oil to clean his gun. But who was doing something for him?
Y/N decided it was time to change that.
The next morning, as the ship docked at the island, Y/N had her plan ready. She had spent the previous night carefully writing out clues and stashing them in various places she knew Shanks would eventually find throughout the day.
The first clue was tucked neatly inside his favorite mug, the one he used for his morning coffee. Shanks, groggy but in good spirits, lifted the mug to take a sip, only for a small piece of paper to fall into his lap.
âHuh?â he said to himself, blinking down at the note. He opened it up and read:
"A Captainâs day starts with more than just brew. Check under the barrel where you stashed the new."
His brow furrowed, but a slow grin spread across his face. âWhatâs this all about?â
Intrigued, Shanks followed the clue to the ship's supply closet, where he had hidden some rare bottles of rum the week before. Sure enough, another note was waiting for him.
"You're warm now, Captain, but not yet done. Find the red flag, and youâll be closer to the fun."
He scratched his head, chuckling to himself. âWhatâs that girl even up to?â, asked himself, perfectly knowing that it was all her doing. After all, Benn would have never set up a vicious game like this, while Y/N was just like him in some aspects: funny, always ready for a giggle, an eternal child ready to play.
He set off, following the clues she had hidden around the island. Each note was just vague enough to make him think, but not so hard that it was frustrating.
"Your treasure awaits, but first you must find, A place where the wind sings and the sun shines."
This clue led him to a windmill at the top of a hill, another to a quiet beach where the waves lapped gently at the shore, and another to an old oak tree that must have been standing for centuries. It was funâsimple and thoughtfulâand he couldnât help but feel lighter with every step he took. Finally, as the sun began to dip low in the sky, he found the final clue tucked under a smooth stone at the edge of a peaceful garden. It led him to a small, cozy inn nestled on the outskirts of the village. When he opened the door to the room, he found Y/N sitting on the bed, her legs crossed and a playful smile on her lips.
âWell, itâs about time you got here,â she teased, crossing her arms. âI was starting to think youâd gotten lost.â
Shanks blinked, looking around the room and trying to figure out what to do with her, alone, on a bed. âWhatâs all this, Y/N? What do you want me to do?â.
Y/N stood and motioned toward a small door at the side of the room. âGo take a look in the bathroom, Captain.â
Curious, Shanks pushed the door open and immediately burst out laughing. The bathroom was filled with the scent of lavender, and the tub was filled to the brim with warm water, bubbles, and flower petals. It looked like something straight out of a fancy spa, the kind Shanks would love to visit, but would never admit it.
âYou even put up candles,â he pointed out, incapable of stopping his laugh. He turned to Y/N, amusement dancing in his eyes. âThis is a bit girly for me, donât you think?â
Y/N shrugged, unfazed. âGirly or not, itâll help with your backâ. Her Captain raised his eyebrow, not fully convinced. âJust get in the tub, Shanks," she shrugged as he smirked, peeling off his coat and shirt. "Alright, alright. But donât blame me when you start swooning over my rugged pirate physique."
As he continued to undress, Y/N called out from the other room. "Leave your underwear on! We donât need any... unexpected surprises." Shanks chuckled, unable to resist. "How do you know itâs a bad surprise?" He winked at her. "Iâve got a reputation to uphold, you know." Y/N laughed, shaking her head.
"This whole elaborate plan just to get my shirt off, huh?" he teased as he sank into the tub, letting the warm water envelop him.
Y/N perched herself on a stool behind him, her fingers gently pressing into his shoulders. "Nope, just trying to take care of the captain. Warm water and lavender should help with the tension. But honestly, if this whole treasure hunt was too complex for you, you could have just said so."
"Ah, itâs been a while since Iâve been challenged by something as intricate as finding a hidden inn," he teased. "But I have to admit, itâs doing the trickâ. The warm water immediately started to soothe the ache in his back. He closed his eyes, sinking deeper into the tub, letting the lavender scent relax him even more. âAlright, how are you feeling so far?â, she asked hoping that her plan was working.
âMuch better,â Shanks admitted, though whether it was the bath or her thoughtfulness, he wasnât entirely sure.
âGood,â she said as she began to gently massage his shoulders. âThisâll help release some tension. The warm water and lavender should take care of the rest.â
Shanks let out a low groan of satisfaction. âWhy are you doing all of this?â
Y/N chuckled. âYou do stuff for us all the time. A wise captain once said a crew is like a family, a oneâs burden is everybodyâs burdenâ.
âSounds like a smart captain, do I know him?,â he jokingly asked, catching his quote. âDonât think soâ, she answered while her hands kept massaging his toned shoulders. âThis captain is always happy and smiley, instead youâve been grumpy for a while.â
âGrumpy?â Shanks asked with mock offense. âIâm never grumpy.â
She snorted. âSure, Captain. Youâve been grumbling and wincing for days.â
As her hands worked on his shoulders, Shanks felt the tension slowly melt away, and before long, he was feeling better than he had in days. Still, Y/Nâs touch had a different effect on him tooâone that was harder to ignore.
âAlright, Iâm gonna give you some privacy now,â Y/N said after a few minutes. âJust wanted to make sure you were settled in.â
She stood, ready to leave, but Shanks caught her hand. âWait, can you hand me a towel first?â
Y/N nodded and grabbed a towel from the nearby shelf. As she handed it to him, Shanks gave her a devilish grin and pulled the towelâand herâtoward him with one swift tug.
Before Y/N could react, she lost her balance and tumbled forward, landing directly in the tub with Shanks.
Water splashed everywhere as Shanks burst out laughing, his chest heaving with mirth. Y/N, on the other hand, was mortified, her face flushed as she found herself lying against his bare chest.
âShanks!â she gasped, trying to push herself up, but he only laughed harder.
âHey, youâre the one who got me in this tub in the first place,â he teased. âNow you get to enjoy it too!â
Y/N couldnât help but laugh along with him, her embarrassment fading as she realized how ridiculous the situation was. She wriggled slightly, trying to get comfortable. âThis is not how I planned it to go.â
Shanks smirked. âThen maybe you shouldâve planned better.â
After a beat, Shanks raised an eyebrow. âWell? Youâve already fallen in. Might as well stay.â
Y/N sighed dramatically. âFine. But Iâm keeping my shorts on.â
She reached up to peel off her soaked top, revealing her bra underneath. Shanks let out a low whistle. âWell, if I knew this was how the night was going to end, I wouldâve had back pain ages ago.â
Y/N rolled her eyes, though she couldnât help but smile. âYouâve seen me in a bikini on the ship a hundred times.â
âYeah,â Shanks said, his voice teasing, âbut itâs always a pleasant surprise to be remembered of what you are hiding under you shirtâ. She rolled her eyes, settling into the tub. "Youâre impossible," she repeated, though this time there was a fondness in her voice. They sat together in comfortable silence, playing with the bubbles and petals floating in the water. He couldnât help but taking some flower petals in his hand and letting it gently fall in her hair, making her giggle, her eyes shyly watching the water. The heat of the bath and the soothing scent of lavender wrapped around them like a warm blanket, and for the first time in a while, Shanks felt completely at ease.
Eventually, the water began to cool, and they reluctantly decided it was time to get out. As Shanks stood up and reached for a towel, he let out a soft grunt.
Y/Nâs brow furrowed with concern. "Does it still hurt?" she asked, her voice soft. Shanks shook his head, grinning. "On the contrary, I feel amazing. And now I canât use my back pain as an excuse to make you do this again."
Y/N laughed, tossing him another towel.
"Guess Iâll just have to come up with another excuse," Shanks smirked, wrapping the towel around his waist.
As they stepped out of the bathroom, the tension that had been weighing Shanks down for days had finally lifted. He felt lighter, freer, and though he might not have been 20 anymore, he realized that moments like theseâshared with the people who cared about himâmade aging feel a little less daunting. And as Y/N flashed him one last smile before heading to her room, Shanks couldnât help but think that maybe, just maybe, he was still young enough for a few more surprises in life.

The manor was a shadowy silhouette against the stormy sky, its once-grand architecture crumbling under the weight of centuries. Thick vines crawled up the walls, weaving through shattered windows, and the roof had long since lost its battle with time, leaving gaping holes that allowed the rain to pour in freely. The place felt like it had been forgotten by the world, abandoned and left to rot. But tonight, the manor had a visitor.
You stepped through the creaking, heavy doors, holding your cat close to your chest. Her little head poked out from your coat, ears twitching nervously at the sound of thunder rumbling in the distance. âItâs okay, sweetie,â you murmured softly, stroking her fur to calm her. âWeâll be safe in here until the storm passes.â
Your cat, whom you affectionately called your daughter, seemed to relax a little at your touch. You glanced around the dark, eerie foyer, noting the way the dim light filtered through the broken windows, casting long, jagged shadows across the dust-covered floor. The place was eerie, sure, but there was a strange kind of peace in it, like the remnants of a life that had once been.
It seemed to be calling you. Whispering your name, convincing you to enter it.
âWell⌠itâs not exactly a palace, but itâll do,â you said, mostly to yourself, though your cat meowed in agreement.
The rain was pouring outside, the wind howling as it whipped through the trees. You shivered, but not just from the cold â there was something about the manor that felt off, like it was watching you, waiting.
You pushed the thought aside. âBetter than being out in that storm, huh?â
You wandered further in, your shoes leaving faint prints in the dust as you explored. The place was massive, with winding hallways that seemed to stretch on forever, and rooms filled with decaying furniture that hinted at a past life of luxury. Every so often, a strange creak or groan would echo through the halls, making you jump.
'Must be the wind,' you reassured yourself whenever that happened, though you didnât sound all that convincing.
At one point, you thought you heard a soft, distant scream, but when your cat didnât react, you brushed it off as your imagination. âMaybe Iâm just tired,â you said with a sigh. âOr hallucinating from the lack of sleep. We've been searching for a place to rest for a long time, havent we dear?â
It didnât take long for you to decide that you could make this place a temporary home. You had nowhere else to go, and the manor, as eerie as it was, at least offered some shelter and warmth. So, over the next few days, you set to work cleaning it up.
You swept the dust from the floors, wiped down the windows, and even managed to fix some of the broken furniture with makeshift repairs. They were temporary solutions, but they would do for now. Your cat followed you around, sometimes hopping onto counters or curling up in old armchairs, watching as you brought a bit of life back to the place.
As you explored the grounds, you found wild fruits and fungi growing nearby, enough to cook a simple meal. You made small fires outside, cooking what you could, and even tried some of the edible ones raw. It wasnât much, but it was better than nothing, and you made sure to share everything with your cat.
âWeâre like a couple of foraging nomads,â you joked, scratching her head as she ate beside you.
One day, as you were cleaning one of the rooms that seemed to have once been a study, you found a small, ornate picture frame buried under a pile of dusty books. You carefully picked it up, brushing the dirt away to reveal a faded photograph of a man. His clothes were elegant, the kind youâd imagine a duke or some other noble would wear, and there was a certain grace in his posture. But the photo was worn, almost like it was a memory trying to fade away.
You looked at it for a long moment, feeling an odd sense of connection to the man in the picture, his beautifuleyes staring right back at you, almost as if he could see you now.
âI hope you found peace wherever you are,â you said quietly, placing the frame back on the desk. âAnd⌠sorry for invading your home like this. I promise Iâll take care of it.â
After that, you couldnât help but feel a strange obligation to maintain the place, almost as if you were caring for the memory of the man whose portrait you had found. You even discovered some old clothes in a wardrobe, finely tailored but dusty, and decided to clean them off. You didnât wash them, though â it felt like that would be crossing a line, disrespecting the memory of their owner. It was such a silly thought, really, but whenever you thought about it, you just simply couldn't.
Instead, you brushed off the dust and laid them out in the sun for a while, hoping to preserve them as best you could. Every now and then, youâd check on the clothes, making sure they were still neatly arranged in the wardrobe, as if their owner would return to wear them again in the near future.
Unbeknownst to you, your actions hadnât gone unnoticed. The manor had its secrets, and one of them was the spirit of the very man whose belongings you were now caring for. Jade Leech had been many things in life â a duke, a man of wealth and influence, and yes, he had dabbled in some less-than-legal affairs, not that it matters.
But now, he was simply a ghost, bound to the manor that had once been his pride. Bound by a curse or so he'd tell you if you asked him; the truth was only for him to know.
Jade had seen many people come and go over the years, but none had stayed. Most would leave after hearing a whisper in the dark or seeing a shadow move where no shadow should be. But you⌠you were different. You didnât run. Instead, you cleaned, you fixed things, and you spoke to him â even if you didnât realize it. Every time youâd make a quiet comment about the manor or talk to your cat, Jade would listen, an amused smile playing on his lips.
It was your respect for his belongings that intrigued him the most. The way you had carefully cleaned the picture frame, or the gentle way you had treated his clothes, it made him feel⌠noticed. Remembered. And that was a feeling he hadnât experienced in a very, very long time.
Jade began to watch you more closely, following you as you explored the manor, listening as you talked to your cat. He found your presence soothing, your airhead nature endearing. It was as if, after so many years of silence and solitude, life had returned to the manor â and he wasnât sure he wanted it to leave.
His mother, his father, his brother... they all have left him.
And misses them.
He didn't want to get attached to someone, and then have you left him too.
One evening, after you had spent the day fixing a broken chair leg and foraging for more food, you were in the main hall, admiring how much you had managed to clean up. The fire in the hearth crackled softly, casting a warm light across the room, and your cat was curled up on your lap, purring contentedly.
âI think weâve done a good job, donât you?â you said, scratching behind your daughter's furry ears. âIt almost feels⌠cozy.â
You didnât notice the figure standing just a few feet away, a ghostly smile on his face. âYes,â Jade said, his voice barely more than a whisper, yet clear enough to send a chill down your spine. âIt does.â
Your heart skipped a beat, and you looked up, your eyes widening as you saw him. There, standing by the fireplace, was the man from the photograph, dressed in the same elegant clothes you had so carefully dusted off.
His pale face was framed by dark, wavy hair, and his eyes â sharp, intelligent, and heterochromatic â were fixed on you, shining with an otherworldly light. He didn't looked dead at all.
He looked very much alive.
For a moment, you thought you were dreaming; the absence of having another person to talk to catching up to you. But the smile on his lips was so real, so warm, it was hard to believe he was just a figment of your imagination.
âYou⌠youâreâŚâ you stammered, not sure how to finish the sentence.
Jade tilted his head slightly, his smile widening. âI am Jade Leech, the owner of this mansion. But you know that.â he said, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. âAnd I must say, Iâve been quite charmed by your company.â
You blinked, struggling to find your voice. âY-youâve been watching me?â
âFor a while now, yes,â he admitted, taking a step closer. âYouâve done such a lovely job caring for my manor, and for that, I am grateful. Itâs been⌠entertaining, to say the least. And you're quite skilled singing.â
You swallowed, your mind racing. You should have felt afraid, but there was something about the way he spoke, the way he looked at you, that made it hard to think straight. âI-Iâm sorry if I disturbed you,â you said quickly. âI didnât mean toââ
âNonsense,â Jade interrupted, his tone smooth and reassuring. âIf anything, I should be thanking you. Youâve brought life back to this place, and for that, I am in your debt.â He paused, his gaze softening. âBut more than that⌠I find myself rather fond of you.â
Your breath hitched as his words sank in, and you felt a shiver run down your spine. âFondâŚ?â
âYes,â he said, his voice dropping to a whisper as he leaned closer, his eyes locking onto yours. âAnd I think itâs only fair that I repay your kindness⌠by making sure you never have to leave this manor again.â
The realization hit you like a wave, and you felt your heart begin to race. âW-what do you mean?â
Jadeâs smile widened, and there was a glint of something possessive in his eyes. âYou will stay here, with me,â he said softly, his tone as gentle as it was final. âAs my guest⌠and perhaps, something more. After all, you're mine now."

Blessed by a Trickster
Chapter Thirteen: Crap. Why Can't He Just Stay Outside Like a Good Boy?
Prev/Next
Warnings: I don't... believe so?
Word Count: 1.132k
Listen to: Done For
You glanced at the doors of the palace as you turned to Odysseus. You were not going to let your thoughts linger on Hermes for any longer.
âOkay, hereâs the plan,â you said before your captain could even open his mouth. You placed a fist in the center of your other palm and gave Odysseus a toothy grin. âYou, stay out here.â
âWhat?â He demanded.
âYou heard me.â Your voice was calm as you stood in the line of your captainâs misguided rage. âShe may listen to a woman, and if you show yourself, you risk our chance to get our men back.â Your gaze softened a fraction as you saw the distressed look on Odysseusâs face. âI know itâs hard, but you have to let me do this.â
âFine.â He turned head away from you, eyes studying a patch of grass to the left of his feet as if the vegetation was the most interesting thing heâd seen all day. âJust⌠donât get hurt, alright? Eurylochus and Polites wonât ever forgive me if anything happens.â
He didnât give you a second glance as he made his way back into the forest, and for once you were glad, for he didnât see the rosy blush tinted across your cheeks from his statement.Â
You took a deep breath and forced open the doors. Best idea? No, but you werenât in the right state of mind to worry about that as you walked into the palace.Â
It was just as luxurious on the inside as it was on the outside, walls adorned with gold and silver jewels that gleamed in the sunlight. Nymphs eyed you from doorways but didnât stop you or ask for your name; your air of confidence perfected with delicate poise stopped them from even moving a centimeter.
You raised your head and walked straight into what mustâve been a throne room, despite the grand dining table in the centre.Â
You saw Circe cleaning up the dishes, her back facing you. You narrowed your eyes, but decided to follow your own advice and start with the more respectable approach.Â
âLady of the palace, sorry that I ask this, but I hope that Iâve been misinformed,â You took a few steps forward, keeping your chin high.Â
Circe whirled around at the sound of your voice. She tensed as she guessed why you were in her palace.Â
âI sent out some scouts to take a look around through here.â You gestured vaguely around you as you continued. âAnd they wound up at your doors.âÂ
You picked up a glass and examined it, though your mind was racing. âThrough the years, we seldom get a warm welcome, so I must ask just to be sure.â You raised your eyes to Circeâs. âDid you do something to them?â
Circe smiled. âWho, me?â She questioned, pointing a finger to herself. âAll I did was reveal their true forms.â
You scowled. âYou turned them into pigs.â
She looked at you as if you might be more of a pest than she had thought. âHuh.â
You only realized Circe held a wand when she pointed at you menacingly. âI donât know who you are, nor why youâre here.â One deliberate step toward you. âBut let me make this one thing clear. Iâve got people to protect. Nymphs I canât neglect.â She pointed at a few nymphs who had apparently followed you in.Â
Circe drifted closer, and you saw that she was hovering in midair, just like Hermes did. âSo Iâm not taking chances, dear.â
âIf you make one wrong move, then youâre done for.â Circe held up a singular finger, a miniature tornado swirling around the tip. âAnything I donât approve, then youâre done for. I could put a spell on you and youâre done for.â She sent a gust of wind in your direction, but you sidestepped easily; you knew she could do better. The witch only wanted to frighten you away rather than actually put a spell on you.
âOh, you better run or soon you will be done for,â Circe said.
You smirked. âI donât mean to tip your scale, but you will fail at placing any spells on me,â you assert. âI just ate a flower, one that claims your power.â You drew your sword in a flash of silver movement and pointed it at her. âSo you better cower now and flee.â
Circe blinked in confusion. âYou must be a liar. Mortals canât acquire moly without dire consequence.â
You smiled with what you hoped was breezy confidence. âThen I must be god like you,â you reasoned. ââCause I got this root from the ground with my bare hands.â
The witch gave you an unamused look. âHermes gave it to you, didnât he?â She demanded.Â
You crossed your arms and huffed. âOkay, fine, yes, but regardless,â you muttered, taking another step so that your sword was almost touching her.Â
âYou and I are now evenly matched,â you stated. âOur fates are intertwined, theyâre attached.â
Circe looked down at her wand and then her nymphs. âIâve got people to protect!â
You shook your head. âFriends I canât neglect.â
You and Circe spoke in harmony. âSo now there is no turning back.â
A form of a lion flickered to light behind the witch, and you narrowed your eyes, summoning your own creature- a massive hawk, you found. How ironic, the sacred animal of Hermes.
âYouâve made your one wrong move, now youâre done for.â You advance on Circe as your hawk engages in battle with the lion.
âI will be the one to prove that youâre done for,â the witch snarled as she threw spell after spell at you.
You parried each and every one, your blade seeming to absorb the magic. âNot even a spell saves you, âcause youâre done for. Oh, you better run, or soon you will be done for.â
You cut Circeâs wand in half as she tried to put it between your sword and her neck.Â
âYouâve lost,â you announced, blade to the witchâs neck.
Circe curled her fingers around your sword, which you thought was a very bold move, considering the position she was currently in.Â
âMy nymphs are like my daughters, I protect them, at all costs.â You looked away, knowing that Circe was trying to extract sympathy from you. âThe last time we let strangers live, we faced a heavy loss,â she continued. âYouâve given me no reason to bestow you with my trust.âÂ
Circe paused for a second, looking over your shoulder and smiling wickedly. âBut everyoneâs true colors are revealed in acts of lust.â
You turned to see what she was staring at. Your nostrils flared. Hadnât you told the idiot to stay outside? Yes, you remember saying so.
But no, Odysseus stood in the doorway.

aquatic missile | arthurtv
had this idea that i thought was adorable so here
have a little arthur with a crush on a marine biologist !!!!
after arthur had moved to london, finally getting somewhat used to the area he had moved to, he had become slightly socially worn out from seeing his friends much more often, being exposed to many more social situations all whilst trying to unpack and organise his new flat.
so he had decided to abandon his responsibilities for the day to go to the aquarium, which was honestly one of the things he had been looking forward to most when moving to a bigger city then he was used to, the museums, zoos, and aquariums he could finally visit.
he was happy going alone, wanting to unwind, his headphones hanging from his neck, ready to play some music as he strolled through and gawked at all the sea life.
when he walked into the lobby, he noticed the place was quite empty, but it didn't wholly surprise him - it was 11am on a tuesday, most people were probably at work or school, and he had somewhat been glad it was empty.
he walked up to the desk, slightly looking up at the woman at the desk before back down to his feet for a moment.
the worker was quite pretty.
"hi, can i help you?" the woman spoke, in a sweetly helpful way.
"hello, i just wanted to get a ticket?" he said, a little quietly.
"just a one day general admission?" she asked, and he confirmed with a nod of his head.
"yeah, that sounds good to me," he nodded, his eyes slightly crinkling as he offered her a slightly awkward smile.
"have you been before? we have a little leaflet with a map in that might help if you'd like one, you can obviously just wander as you please but if theres specific things you'd like to see, they're all labelled in here," she offered, placing a small blue coloured leaflet on the desk, his fingers gently reaching to take it, nodding gratefully.
"oh, thank you, yeah.. i mean, i love all the sea creatures but i do really like the sharks," he admitted with a small laugh, and she nodded, giggling a little herself.
"oh, me too.. the sharks are my favourite by a mile, i even have a specific favourite shark, they actually let me name her," she smiled, and his eyes lit up.
"no way, really? what did you call her?" he asked, clearly interested.
"a little rogue but i called her missile," she said bashfully, and he laughed.
"that is very cool." he confirmed, and she blushed a little with a nod.
arthur handed her the money for the ticket, taking it from her with a small thanks as he headed his way into the aquarium.
he could easily spend hours in the aquarium, and he did, meandering slowly and stopping at each small fish that he could see, reading all the boards with the facts on, and by the time he had even looked down at his phone he noticed it was already 2pm, and he was approaching the shark section of the aquarium, a grin on his face at the prospect.
he had barely ran into anyone whilst walking through the winding path of the place, and in the shark section he could only see one person in the whole big area, a big glass tunnel, someone hunched over on a bench, eating and watching the sharks on the other side.
he began slowly walking around, his head focussed on looking up at the glass, watching the sharks swim around, even over his head when he was lucky before he heard noise.
"oh, hi again," a small familiar voice said, and he turned to the girl eating, who had lifted her head up - the worker from before.
"hello," he said, smiling a little, "must be very cool to be able to eat here on your lunch break," he joked a bit, and she nodded.
"uh huh, one of my favourite parts of the day, checking on missile... and of course all the other sharks, i love them all. though, feeding time is also pretty cool,"
"feeding them would be so cool," he nodded in confirmation. "which one is missile?" he asked curiously, and she grinned.
"the one that swam over your head before," she laughed slightly, putting down her box of pasta and standing up for a second, slightly closer to him before pointing upwards, at a spotted slightly smaller shark, "that's missile, she's a leopard shark,"
"what about the others? do you know all their names?" he asked, and she nodded, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
"that's david, he's a lemon shark... that's haribo, he's a gummy shark, that ones called eve, she's a nurse shark... and the rest are hiding somewhere, but we have hammerheads, angel sharks and cow sharks hiding round here somewhere," she laughed a little, shrugging, "some of them like the attention more then others,"
"so you're really interested in sharks? or is it just a thing where you know a lot from working near them?" arthur asked, and she nodded again.
"i studied marine biology, i usually work more behind the scenes but on quiet days i work behind the desk too, but yeah, i love sharks, and just sea animals on a whole... i mean, i even have a shark tattoo," she giggled. "what about you, you just here to see them or do you have an interest?"
"oh, um, i have an interest in animals in general, and i just moved to london, so i wanted to come see the aquarium 'cause i've never been before," he admitted, and she nodded.
"i do love the aquarium, it's so peaceful, i mean sometimes i come in even on my days off, which in most jobs seems so bizarre but, i don't know, i just love it here."
and that's how arthur ended up frequenting the aquarium more than he intended to, over the past month going at least six times, enjoying the aquarium (and secretly hoping to run into the girl who he had become just a small bit infatuated with but had only admitted that to his close friends, who in turn obviously mocked him)
"you literally don't even know this girls name," george laughed when arthur had admitted he may have had a tiny crush on her after telling them about going to the aquarium for the fourth time in two weeks.
"well, obviously i know that, but i mean, i can't find out unless i see her again, can i?"
"only arthur could go to an aquarium and randomly fall in love with a girl just because she spoke to him about sharks," chris said sarcastically, and arthur rolled his eyes at him, his face red.
"she was cool, okay? she literally gets to name and feed and pet sharks, that is cool!" he defended himself in a splutter of embarrassment, only leading to slightly more giggles
when he next went, and he had paid for his ticket with someone else at the desk, and began his wander around the museum, he heard a slightly teasing voice once in the shark exhibit.
"you know, you could have saved yourself a lot of money if you had just bought a monthly pass," a giggling voice said, and he turned around to her with a slightly red face and a shrug.
"didn't realise i was gonna end up coming so much," he admitted with flushed cheeks.
"just become obsessed with the sharks, eh?" she asked, and he gulped down with another shy nod.
"uh huh. and, um. well, kinda hoping to run into you, also," he acknowledged, only to hear her laugh a little more.
"stalking me now, are you?" she asked, only to make his eyes widen
"no, not like that! just that, you know, i thought you were interesting and that-" she laughed a little harder now,
"i'm just kidding, don't worry about it. you do know there's other ways to see girls you find interesting other then hoping to bump into them at work?" she teased.
"well, that's what i was hoping to ask, you know... if i could maybe see you not in the shark section of the aquarium? like a date?" he asked, fiddling with his fingers a little.
"sure, that sounds nice," she smiled at him, "though, you don't even know my name," she teased.
"well, what is your name?" arthur asked, slight more confidence in his voice and a small smile on his face, slightly reassured that she had said yes.
"whats yours? i mean, for all i know you're some stalker who frequents aquariums looking for victims," she teased, leading him to jokingly roll his eyes.
"my name is arthur, and i promise it was not stalking... just thought you were smart, and pretty, so.. what's your name?"
"suppose you'll have to find that out on the date, hm, arthur?

Time Wasn't In Our Favor (Demon Slayer)
We're just going for the angst this week huh- kjajkearjkeajkr
Heyo everyone! I wrote this a while back and did a small poll with everyone on which Obamitsu fic they wanted to see: the super fluffy one or this. The fluff won. All this time later I finally decided to share this with everyone! :D I hope you like it!
CW: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR DEMON SLAYER MANGA. Angst, Heavy angst barely any comfort, mentions of past abuse, mentions of past torture, mentions of past bullying, insecurity, blood and injury, death, food mention, almost confessions, just lots of pain and heartache y'all I cried writing this kjarjkekjarjek
Summary: Four times Obamitsu almost confessed, and the one time they finally did.
âKanroji looksâŚuneasy.â Obanai mused out loud one day, watching the pink haired Hashira speak with the others. While she smiled and greeted everyone as per her welcome, there was clear discomfort on her face whenever she was alone. She was always clutching the ends of her uniform, tugging on it as if it would somehow get longer.
âI donât blame her. That perv was the one who made the uniform.â Sanemi grumbled, referencing none other than Maeda- one of the many tailors in the Demon Corps. He was good at the craft, but notorious for hisâŚrevealing design choices. âI heard he tried to pull the same thing on Shinobu and her Tsugoku. She burned it before him.â The Wind Hashira snickered, clearly pleased with the thought. âShame she didnât get to him a third time.â
âHe designed yours too, yes?â Obanai eyed the bare chested Hashira, his scars gleaming brightly against his skin. âI assumed he only did that for the woman.â
âAy, eyes up here, buddy.â Sanemi snapped his fingers, focusing the other. âAnd yeah- I told him to make mine like this. Makes the whole bleeding thing easier.â
The âBleeding thingâ was what Sanemi called his Marechi blood- a rare type that demons craved like an addiction. He often used said blood to kill his targets, luring them in with the smell and cutting their heads off clean. It left him with scars all over, but the white haired man didnât seem bothered by it.
Obanai was about to remark on Sanemiâs other intentions regarding the choice of clothes when his eyes went back to Mitsuri. She was now talking to Shinobu, her stance relaxed once more. It must have been comforting, having another woman on the team to talk to. While he hasnât seen any of the Hashria leer at Kanroji, he wouldnât be surprised if those outside their group have, taking in her entire being like a piece of meat.
The thought alone made his stomach turn. He wanted to hunt them all down and gut them.
âAyo, your bloodlust is showing.â Sanemi reached up and nudged his foot, bringing him back to reality.
âSays the man with the most bloodlust here.â Obanai retorted, earning a snort.
âI save it for demons.â A half truth. Sanemi followed his gaze, humming softly. âSheâs a tough woman. You donât have to worry about anyone being gross to her. Sheâd probably knock them out with those killer biceps.â He nodded approvingly, flinching when Obanai punched his shoulder. âOuch, damn- what the hell?â
âDonât be cruel.â He growled, feeling protective. He didnât know much, but they seemed to be an insecurity for her- her arms. The way she tucked them in when in groups or kept her hand gestures close to her chest. It was like she was trying to shrink in on herself.
âI wasnât....â Sanemi rolled his eyes before turning back to the girl in question. âI didnât mean it in a bad way. I like her arms. I think they're great.â He nodded. âDonât hit me again- Iâm not trying to steal your girl.â
âSheâs not my-â
âBut she does look uncomfortable.â He carried on, furrowing his brows. âEspecially with the skirt. Think sheâd feel better if we force Maeda to make her a longer one?â
Obanai doubted it. Not only would it not be ready for a while, but the implication feltâŚwrong. Like he was telling her what to wear, or that he was only looking at her legs.
LegsâŚwait a momentâŚ
âDonât. Itâll make things worse. But I do have an idea.â Obanai mused, starting to perk up.
~~~
âOh wowâŚIguro-san, these are beautiful!â Mitsuri gushed as she held up the socks. They were knee high, light green with stripe detail down the legs. Thick enough for coverage but light enough so she wonât sweat. They matched the tips of her hair, she realized- a detail she hadnât even thought of herself. âI love them!â
âIâm glad.â Obanai smiled behind his mask, fighting down the blush threatening to spread over his cheeks. He looked away politely as she pulled them on, Kaburamaru hissing in approval as she squealed with delight. âTheyâre on! How do I look?â She asked, striking a pose. Already she looked much more comfortable in her own skin.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Obanai almost said it as he took in her smiling face, the look of utter joy in her green eyes as she fluttered about- beyond pleased. It was like the sun was eclipsed until this moment- finally peeking out behind a mass of dark matter to shine down on them, enhancing the world around them. Obanai nearly forgot to breathe when she smiled at him like that.
âYou look wonderful.â He got out, making her blush and shine more.
One day, heâd tell her.
One day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
âMm! Mm, mm mm! The smell is amazing!â Mitsuri was in heaven- her cheeks flushed with absolute joy as she breathed deeply. She had gotten back from a particularly long mission, and she was starving. The plan had been to go home and make something, but she ran into Obanai along the way. The first thing to greet him, much to her horror, was the growl in her stomach.
âHungry?â He asked, voice teasing. Her face burned.
Now they were here- a small restaurant that Mitsuri knew well. The shop owner loved her- she tipped well and always made his day better. When she walked in, the old man greeted her with open arms and a bright laugh. âWelcome back, Miss Kanroji! Ah, I see you brought a date!â
âOh, this is Iguro-san! Heâs a fellow Hashira.â She reassured him, her cheeks bright red as the man and his wife came around to properly say hello. She dared a peek- Obanai looked rather flushed himself. Donât let this get awkward, Mitsuri. âIâll have my usual, though erâŚkeep it to one serving.â She shifted, forcing a smile.
âJust one? But we made a whole pan-â The kind man began, cutting off when his wife pinched his arm. âAlright then- a serving of Curry rice for the lovely lady, and for you sir?â
âIâll have the same thing.â He nodded, his voice quiet. The couple faded away as Mitsuri and Obanai took a seat, side by side along the table. She knew she should sit across from him butâŚâSorry- is this weird? Iâll move.â She offered, starting to stand.
âItâs alright. I donât mind.â He patted her hand, keeping her there. He didnât look uncomfortable- even if he seemed to stop breathing for a moment. Oh dear, did she take too much space? She wasnât exactly slender. Was she crushing him?
âAre you sure? I really donât mind-â She began again, only to stop when the restaurant owner came by, placing their bowls before them.
âHere we are! I added half an extra serving for you, Kanroji. I know how much you love our curry rice!â He winked playfully at her before heading back, ignorant to the way her soul dropped to her stomach.
âKanroji? Are you okay?â Obanai asked, brows furrowing as he took in her pale face. âIs there something wrong?â
âNo! No, not at all!â She squeaked, shaking her head as she gathered her chopsticks. âIâm fine! Totally fine! Letâs eat, shall we?â
If she were completely honest- she wasnât fine. When she usually came here, she was either by herself or with Rengoku. The Flame Hashira ate as much as she did, so she never felt weird polishing off so many bowls of the delicious curry rice.
Awful as it sounds, being here with Obanai- it reminded her of her ex fiance.
âYouâll never find a man who will welcome your presence for the rest of your life.â
âYou eat like a boar. What man would want you?â
âYour hair is hideous. And your arms? God- itâs like you're more monster than woman.â
All this time later, and those words still stung. She felt them clawing up her throat, choking her. Her eyes burned as the shame she felt coated her skin like oil, sticky and suffocating. She couldnât let Obanai see her eat that way. It was bad enough he saw her hair. He saw her fight demons in a way that was without a doubt not fit for a lady.
If he saw her eat like a monster- like a demonâŚ
âKanroji, are you okay? You look like you're gonna be sick.â Obanai sounded so concerned. He looked at her bowl, taking a sniff. âIs there something wrong with the food? You havenât touched it. Do you want me to get you something else?â
I want to disappear. She thought helplessly. I want to fade away. I want to be more what the world wants. I want to fit in, to blend in. To go unnoticed. I want to be forgotten.
âIâŚâ She began, freezing when she saw the chopsticks before her, holding some of the rice.
âErmâŚsorry if this isâŚehâŚâ Obanai seemed flustered as he offered the food, his cheeks red behind his mask. Still, he held her gaze. âI thinkâŚI think eating something might make you feel better. Sometimes we get stomach aches from not eatingâŚat least, that happens to me.â He nodded at the rice. âErmâŚthis is kinda awkward, if you want me to put it down Iâll-â
Her lips closed around the chopsticks, the rich flavor melting on her tongue. It was a little embarrassing, being fed, but⌠âThank you.â She smiled, taking the chopsticks from his hand. Taking a breath, she looked at her bowl. She wanted so badly to dive in and eat, butâŚ
âKanroji, please.â Obanai nodded. âYou should eat. If you want, Iâll keep feeding you-â
âOh no! I got this!â She tried to eat slowly, but before long she was devouring her bowl, lost in its flavor. When she finished, there wasnât a grain left. âMmâŚmh!â
Oh no. Oh god. She forgot. She forgot he was-
The untouched curry slid into her view, Obanaiâs eyes kind. âIf youâre hungry, eat. A Hashira needs their fuel, and you especially.â At her questioning gaze, he nodded. âLove breathing is a branch of Flame breathing. Those types of moves burn through calories like nothing. You need to restore your energy, so eat what you want.â He nodded. âBesides; I think the restaurant owner here would be pretty sad to let that pan go to waste.â
Her eyes grew misty, but not from hurt. She smiled wobbly, taking the bowl. âThank you, Iguro-san.â She paused then, suddenly feeling bad. âBut your foodâŚâ
âI already ate.â He dropped casually, making her stare. âReally. I had those snacks you left me. They were amazing.â
âYou really liked them?â She asked, her heart starting to swell. As she turned to her bowl, she heard Obanai ask the old man to bring Mitsuri her usual order. âAnd some Sakura Mochi. Theyâre her favorite.â He nodded, making her heart race within her chest. He remembered.
~~~
âThat was amazing!â She sighed, patting her belly as she and Obanai left. The restaurant owner and his wife saw them off, smiling at eachother knowingly. She had a feeling she was never gonna hear the end of it from them next time she came. âThank you so much, Iguro-san. You really didnât have to pay though! I know my order can getâŚexpensive.â She almost cringed at the amount of bowls she tucked away.
âItâs no trouble at all. You were happy, and thatâs what matters.â He nodded, not quite looking her way as he tugged on his mask. His ears were red now, something she found rather cute. âPlease never feel the need to hide from us, Kanroji. Weâd never judge you for how you live.â
The unspoken âIâ was there. It made them both blush.
âThank you, really. IâŚâ She wanted to say more then. It had been a long time since someone made her heart race like this. Someone who looked at her only fondly as she ate, no judgment in sight as she finished off bowl after bowl. He never pointed it out, only kept the conversation going; talking about missions and life and friends.
He made her feelâŚnormal.
She wanted to tell him that.
She wanted to tell him more.
âHm? What is it?â Obanai asked, looking at her curiously.
No. Not yet. She swallowed her heart back to her chest.
âNothing. JustâŚthank you again.â She smiled, tugging at her hair.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Obanai was more careful than this.
As the Serpent Hashira, he was rather fast on his feet. He moved like his breathing style, slithering and evading demon attacks as he brought them down one after the other. At best, he walked away without a scratch.
Today, he wasnât so lucky.
âIguro-san! Oh no, youâre hurt!â Mitsuri was beside him before he hit the ground, the demon fading into ashes behind them as her hands steadied him. His entire body hurt, and his face felt wet. When he blinked, nothing fell from his eyes- it wasnât tears.
Which meant it must have been blood. Lovely.
âItâs alright- are you okay?â He grunted, the smell of Sakura Mochi telling him she was rather close. Her hair was frizzy from the fight, and her eyes were wide with worry. She had a bruise along her chin, and her clothes were frayed at the sleeves.
Bruised and dirty, but she was alive. Good.
âNevermind me, youâre bleeding!â Her hands reached out, hesitating momentarily before she took his chin, gently turning it to look at the cut. âIt doesnât look that bad- if Kocho-san was here, sheâd know exactly how to handle it.â
âItâs alright- I can take care of it.â If anything- heâd prefer to. The cut ran past his mask, cutting it to the middle. In order to clean the wound, heâd need to remove said cover.
The cover that hid his scar and the painful memories it carried.
âYouâre so strong, Iguro-san.â She smiled, cheeks pink as she wiped the blood away with a portion of her Haori. âThatâs what makes you so great- you can handle just about anything.â
The words made his face heat up, and he was about to tell her not to use her Haori on him. âThe blood will never come out!â He was about to say.
Only for the words to get caught in his throat when he felt his mask slip.
âOh!â Mitsuri caught it before it could hit the dirty ground, the damage it took was more severe then they realized. âIâm so sorry- I must have worsened the damage! Iâll fix it up-â When her eyes came back to Obanai, he looked stricken, pale and shaky as he clamped a bloody hand over his mouth. âI-Iguro-san? Whatâs wrong? Are you about to be sick?â
He didnât answer, his throat closed with fear and his mind racing a million miles a minute. No- no no no! This wasnât supposed to happen! She canât see it- she canât!
His fingers pressed tightly against the scar tissue stretching past his lips, reminding him of that horrible day. The knife glinting in the candlelight. The pain stretching along his face. His tears as he begged and begged them to stop, to let him go, to kill him.
All for that horrid Serpent Demon. All to keep the stolen riches the demon provided.
He wished he could forget it. How he was almost given to that horrid beast, and the consequences that came when he escaped.
All of it, there on his scarred mouth. If Mitsuri saw itâŚsheâd know what he was.
A coward. A monster.
âIguro-sanâŚâ Mitsuri bit her lip, eyes wide with worry as she took in the shaking Hashira before her. Then her eyes grew clear. she grabbed her sword.Â
Before Obanai could stop her, she sliced through a clean chunk of her Haori, the strip long and thick. Folding it, she brought it up and pressed it over the hand covering his mouth, her touch light.
âItâs not much, and it probably smells weird, but itâll have to do for now.â Her eyes were so gentle, so kind as his hand fell away, his mouth once again secured. Her hands came around and tied his new makeshift mask into a secure knot, careful not to catch any of his hair in the process. âThere we are! Feeling better?â She asked.
The mask smelled like sakura mochi and tea and home. Even with everything that happened, she never lost that scent. Tears burned his eyes and cut off his voice, making it impossible to speak. Instead, he reached out and took her hand, squeezing it tightly in his own. He hoped sheâd hear his silent thank you.
When she squeezed back, fierce and kind- she squeezed his heart as well.
~~~
Later- with his face newly cleaned and his clothes fixed, Obanai found a small parcel waiting for him. The note on top was written in curly strokes, a heart dotting her name.
Iguro-san, I fixed your mask! It was kinda dirty, so I cleaned it as well.
With love- Mitsuri
He held it close to his chest, his newly stitched and clean mask. It still smelled just like her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Master Ubuyashiki was gone.
He gave his life so he could end this Demon war once and for all.
Mitsuri wiped at her tears, running through courier after courier as she searched for the demon in sight. She would not let Masterâs parting gift go to waste. She would make his dream come true!
Now if she could only find the freaking thing!
This particular one- an Upper moon she believed- was rather elusive. Anytime she got close enough to cut her head off clean, sheâd strum her Biwa and the room would shift. One minute Mitsuri was above her, the next she was free falling into yet another part of the tower.
âTHAT IS IT!â She raged as she stood, racing through more hallways. The changing made her head hurt, and she was sure if she saw another Biwa after this the instrument would only play sour notes. Still- she had to pursue!
Flying high, she raised her sword, the witch once again in sight. âIâve gotcha now-â
And then there was a door.
Smacking her then and there, pain exploded across her body as Mitsuri flew off the edge. Her nose was bleeding- but she didnât know if it was from pain or embarrassment.
Or both. Most likely both.
Falling backwards, she knew it was not gonna end well. Her body was already sore from crashing into various walls and floors. This time she suspected she wouldnât make it.
Suddenly, arms were around her, and she was flying. Blinking, she barely registered her savior before they rolled onto a nearby column. âI-Iguro-san!â She gasped, staring up at him. Her heart did a hundred funny things then as she looked into those concerned mismatched eyes.
And then her face burned, shame bringing her back to reality. âIâm so sorry- I got ahead of myself.â She moaned as she covered her face. âForgive me!â
âItâs quite alright, Kanroji.â He reassured her, helping her to her feet. âYouâve done well. Please be careful- we donât know how this Upper Moon works or what her abilities are. She very well could have more than we expected. Itâs better to analyze her now and look for any openings.â
âRight!â She nodded, the logic in his voice soothing away her nerves. âYou be careful too, Iguro-san. This whole room shifting thing isnât fun to deal with.â Her bruises screamed in agreement, making her wince.
Obanai nodded, a picture of preparation. âVery well. Letâs-â Suddenly the floor split, sending them in different directions. âIGURO!â She cried, barely breathing as he dodged the column. Obanai called out something to her, but before she could react, she was suddenly flying once more, this time towards the ceiling.
With a wall jump and a slash of her blade, she was safe- barely. She shook it off as she turned to glare at the Upper Moon. âYou wonât be able to attack me with the same move twice!â She cried, going for an opening.
The room changes, a door opens. Sheâs falling again.
Well damn.
âGAHHHHH!â She raged as she fell. She was so mad she nearly forgot what Obanai called out to her.
âMITSURI LOOK OUT!â Was what he called.
Mitsuri.
Mitsuri.
He said her name.
The realization motivated her, pushing her to her feet. âHe said my nameâŚI have to live, so I can say his.â She nodded, running once more.
And thenâŚ
âLater.â She decided. âIâll tell him it all later.â
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rain would have been appropriate in a situation like this.
Footsteps she knew like the back of her hand came towards her. Gentle hands pulled her up, resting her against a bloody chest. âKanroji..Iâm back.â Obanaiâs voice was raspy. He didnât have long left.
âPleaseâŚcall me Mitsuri.â She breathed, the phantom pain of her missing arms nearly choking her. There was blood everywhere. She didnât know who it belonged to. At this point, did it really matter? âDid weâŚdid we do it? Is he dead?â She had to know. She needed to know.
âYes. Heâs gone.â Obanai breathed, blood dripping from the cuts where his eyes once were. She wanted to see them. To run her once there hands along his cheek, brushing away the blood that coated his face and just feel him.
Muzan took that away from her. She hoped he burned wherever he went.
âGoodâŚhey, I canât feel anything.â She laughed up blood, shaking her head. âI guess Iâm dying.â
âIâm dying too.â The words cut, even if she knew it was true. âSo you wonât be alone.â
âNoâŚdonât die yet.â She breathed as her eyes filled with tears. âYou canât die yet.â Her voice grew sad then. âIâm sorry. I wasnât much use in the fight.â
âNo, donât say that. Itâs not true.â His voice was so gentle as his hand came up, running through her shredded locks. âDo you remember that day? The day we met?â
âOf course. I got lost in the mansion.â She giggled at the memory, it felt so far now. âYou helped me then. Thank you.â
âItâs the other way around.â His voice grew soft as he reflected on all their moments together. The day they met- how she laughed like bells and smiled so warmly at him. How their time together made him feel like they were just normal people living their lives.
âYouâve saved so many people with your bottomless kindness. You should be proud, Mitsuri. Thank you. Thank you so much for letting me stand by your side.â
Tears spilled down her cheeks as she let out a sob, shaking her head. âIâm so- so happy Obanai. Thank you, for always making me feel loved. Meals tasted better with you. I just- I want to do it all again.â She looked up at him through the blurriness, and it was like she could see him for all that he was- human and the love of her life. âIf we are to be reborn, please- make me your bride!â
âOf course. If you will have me.â He pulled her closer, his lips brushing hers as the last of her breath faded away. âThis timeâŚIâll be sure to make you the happiest person alive. I wonât let you die next timeâŚMitsuri, my beloved.â
Thanks for reading!
My Love For You
In where the the newest Flame Hashira is inlove with the Wind Pillar CW: Confession - Fluff - Meanbutkind!Sanemi - Insults - f!reader - Sanemixreader WC: 1779 Header - https://ph.pinterest.com/pin/582090320610795897/ This is the first thing i have ever written and I tried my best in writing it! i hope you guys will enjoy it and its a bit unoriginal since there have probably been multiple works that are in the same genre. I also havent fully proofread the story so sorry for any mistakes :(
DO NOT REPOST/REBLOGS ARE APPRECIATED
âCaw! Caw! (L/N)! (L/N)! You have received a letterâ your kasugai crow shouted as you opened the window for it to enter.
âHuh? What's this about?â you said as you reached for the letter.
The letter was nicely stored in an envelope which smelled like fresh wisteria. As you looked at the letter further, you realized that it had the Ubuyashiki crest, signalizing that the letter had important value.Â
âIt must be another mission, I hope I'm paired with Mitsuri this time!â you said as you opened the letter. âOh! Oh! Maybe even Sanemi! I sure hope I'm paired with him.â you murmured as you finally saw the letters' contents.Â
You were Kyojuroâs little sister and just like him, you were known to be enthusiastic and kind-hearted. When your older brother died, you took in the responsibility of being the next flame pillar. You were a contrast to Sanemi Shinazugawaâs interior and exterior, you looked like a sweet person and you were. While Sanemi looked scary and also had an aggressive personality. So when people found out that you had a massive crush on him, everyone was caught in disbelief. After all, who would like someone as rude as him?
You didn't know why you liked him to be honest, you didn't deny that he didn't need character development but you also couldn't deny that he didn't look good. He looked handsome and he had an insanely good build. He was also very skilled in his work which made you admire him.
As you read the letter, you were notified that there have been many young males that went missing in a nearby village down north. It was suspected that a Kizuki was residing in the village but whether it was an upper moon or a lower moon the master was unsure. However, contrary to the bad news, you soon discovered that you have indeed been paired on a joint mission with the Wind Pillar.Â
âOh my gosh! I'm going on a mission with Sanemi?!â you shouted. âMe going on a mission with Sanemi, Alone?â you put emphasis in.
You excitedly screamed as you repeated the news in your head for the nth time. As your mind wandered, you decided to cook Ohagi for Sanemi. You noticed that he always carried the faint smell of Ohagi with him. After some time, you finally finished making the food and noticed that it was almost time to go out on the mission. So, you made sure to look extra pretty by adding a bow at the back of your head and a pair of earrings that you had recently bought. You noticed that your lips felt chapped and decided to use lip balm and a bit of lip tint to make sure that your face didn't look too sickly, not that you were of course.Â
You took your katana together with the Ohagi and ran towards the meeting place. As you stepped into the Wind Pillarâs yard you didn't find anything except for a few wooden swords on the ground. You looked around once more feeling confused as to where Sanemi was but to no avail, he wasn't there. You told your crow to try and find the Wind Pillarâs crow but as you were about to say it, you heard leaves crunching. You turned to look at where the noises came from and saw him walking towards you.
With the biggest smile on your face you said, âSanemi! You're here! I was wondering when you would come.â
Instead of greeting you with the same energy, he spoke with coldness and said, âIt's Shinazugawa to you.âÂ
You felt hurt because even after trying to be friends with him for months, he was still as cold to you as it started. Still, you brushed off those feelings and smiled at him again, âSorry! here, have this as a sorryâ shoving the decorated box you had in your hands into his face.Â
He looked at you confused, âWhat the hell is this?â he muttered.
âOhagi! You smelled like it so I figured that you must have liked it,â you said happily, âAnd I made it myself! Go on, try itâ You looked at him expectantly.Â
âNo way this is disgusting, why would I eat this?â he walked towards his house leaving you behind.Â
You catched up to him and said, âWhere are you going?â
âTo feed this garbage to my dog, actually he doesn't even deserve to eat this. Maybe I'll give it to Iguro.â he spat.
âOh,â feeling sad, you said, âOkay, i'll just wait for you at the gateâ as you walked towards the gate, walking further away from Sanemi.Â
Sanemi turned to look at you and felt a twinge of hurt in his heart, he was scared of the possibility that he actually hurt your feelings but soon brushed it aside as he went to his kitchen counter and placed the food that you made on top for him to eat later. Afterwards, he went outside to meet you.Â
You turned around and saw him, âReady to go?â you said smiling.Â
âYeah, let's go,â he said as he waited for you.
You both ran towards the village, not speaking to each other. Usually you would make conversation but you felt a bit conflicted because of what he said earlier at his house, so you decided to just not talk unless needed. Sanemi noticed that you weren't talking, he wanted to say something but he was too shy and he didn't want to damage his pride. So the entire journey there was dead silent.Â
You guys arrived and sat on a rooftop that had an overview of the entire village, it was still daylight so both of you had the time to investigate. By that time, you had cheered up and decided to try and fulfill your fantasies of you and Sanemi ending up together. Your thoughts were cut off when Sanemi put his hand on your shoulder.Â
â(L/N),â he said quietly, you turned around in order to face him, âYes Shinazugawa?â you looked at him confused.Â
âSorry,â he then looked into your eyes. âFor what?â you said as you smiled and looked at him.Â
âYou know what I mean,â he continued, âI'll eat the stupid ohagi that you made.â He then looked at everything besides you.Â
âAwww, Shinazugawa! Just say that you want to eat it!â you teased him.
âNo I don't! What the hell are you thinking?'' he turned around, âLet's just continue the stupid missionâ he said with a tint of embarrasment.Â
After that fateful day, you and Sanemi started getting closer. He was still mean to you but it wasn't as bad as before. Your feelings started to grow more and you found yourself being more open about your feelings towards him. Despite that, Shinazugawa kept ignoring your love for him.Â
âHey Sanemi, can I ask you a question?â you asked. âWhat?â he looked at you.
âWhat if I told you, right here and right now, that I'm in love with you?â you said excitedly.Â
âI would kill you.â he turned around in order to hide the flush forming on his face.Â
âBut Sanemi!â you whined, âWhy would you kill me?â you pressed on.
âBecause you're an idiotâ he started walking away from you.Â
Sanemi accepted that he also had feelings towards you, he loved you. Yet, with the duties of being a hashira, he couldn't indulge in such luxuries just yet. He had a mission to fulfill, he couldn't fulfill his wishes just yet
Sighing, you finally said, âOkay, i'll go now, I have a mission soon with Muichiro, i'll see you laterâ you then turned around to leave but heard him speak.Â
âStay safe and come back in one pieceâ that was all you needed to motivate you.Â
A few days have passed and you still haven't returned home. Sanemi was starting to get worried about you and your whereabouts but he set a focused mind. That was until he overheard a few kakushi talking about you.Â
A male kakushi whispered, âOi, did you know that Lady (L/N) and Sir Tokito encountered an uppermoon?â. âWell did they survive?â the female kakushi asked, âYeah, however Lady (L/N) arrived in critical condition while Sir Tokito arrived with a few cuts, the uppermoon also got away.â said by the male kakushi.Â
With that Sanemi felt his heart race, he bolted towards the butterfly estate to see you. When he arrived he saw you. You had your entire abdomen bandaged up, with multiple cuts on your body. Luckily with your hashira trained body, you were able to wake up from your coma not even a few days after the fight. There you were eating food and talking to Muichiro who seemed to be deeply thanking you for taking the almost fatal hit for him.Â
Sanemi rushed to your side and shouted at you, â(Y/N), what the hell happened!?â He looked scared. âHow many days have you been here?â he said worriedly.Â
Muichiro then excused himself because it seemed as if there was something to be discussed between the both of you.Â
âSanemi! You're here!â you smiled at him, âI've been here for 5 daysâ.Â
âWhy was I not notified straight away?â he questioned, âDidn't I tell you to teach your crow to tell me if something bad happens to you?â he said angrily.Â
âUhm,â you awkwardly muttered, âI kinda just told my bird not to tell you unless I actually died..â you trailed off.Â
âWhat?â he asked in disbelief, âAre you stupid?â he asked you seriously.Â
Out of nowhere you suddenly spoke, âI love you,â your impulsive thoughts getting the better of you.Â
The way he came running towards you after finding out that you almost died just made your heart melt and you just wanted to marry him right there.Â
Sanemi blushed at your statement. He pondered on the thought, what if you actually died? He realized that he should just admit his feelings for you since he didn't know if both of you would come out alive after everything.Â
He cupped your cheeks and said, âI love you too idiot, don't scare me like that ever again.â
You were shocked to say the least, did he just admit his feelings for you? You then asked him.Â
âSay that again?â you looked at him. âI love you,â he said shyly, âSo much.âÂ
You were mentally screaming and the first thing that came out of your mouth was, âI knew that you loved me back!â you said happily.Â
âCome on! Say it again! Please?â you whined, âNoâ was all he said.Â
The end
Authors Note: this was honestly kinda rushed i feel like the pacing is a bit too fast
Well Met By Moonlight Part 19
I can't believe it, there is only one more chapter to go after this one and it'll be done. I'm really sad to see this one end. But as I've said in the past, I think it potential to be something more, so I'm having a good friend of mine read the story and let me know what she thinks.
We've got a lot of reveals to get through and a lot of twists to untwist. Buckle up, because the bumpy ride is ramping up.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 Part 11Â Part 12 Part 13Â Part 14Â Part 15Â Part 16Â Part 17Â Part 18
~
âHello, Murray,â Billy said stepping out of the shadows of the woods into the small clearing. âAre you going somewhere?â
Keith hurried out of the trees to stand close to the Dominus.
âBilly!â the bald little man cried out. âHey...so you survived. Again.â
Billy tilted his head and crossed his arms over his chest. âIâm special like that. Someoneâs been a bad dog. Am I going to have to get the newspaper?â
Keith giggled next to him.
Murray smiled tightly. âUh-huh. Dog jokes. Very funny. Now if youâll pardon me, Iâve got places to be and canât stand to chat.â
Billy chuckled darkly and walked up to Murray. He picked the man up by shirt collar. âYou think you frighten me? I have survived your little machinations twice.â
âYou should be afraid of me,â Murray huffed without even batting an eyelid at Billyâs rough handling. âIâve been pulling the strings in this town for almost two decades. You are who you are because of me.â
Billy threw back his head and laughed. âYou think you gave me this unlimited power, this beautiful body, this charm? Because thatâs what got me where I am today. Not you weakening this town until it was ripe for the taking. Because I could have taken out Dr. Brenner without all of that.â
Murray wriggled out of Billyâs grasp and straightened his shirt. âYouâre just some washed up beach bum with delusions of grandeur.â
Billy transformed. His bat form large and imposing. His chest expanded and wings sprouted from his back. His feet and hands became clawed and terrifying. His eyes were black and his fangs extended below his lips, glinting in the low light.
Billy roared, but before he could leap at the cocky werewolf, the manticore leapt from behind Murray and straight for his throat.
Billy and the manticore fought, ripping and tearing at each other but before Keith could leap into action Murray stabbed him in the back with a yew stake.
âThis was a little gift from my benefactor,â he whispered as blood pooled from Keithâs mouth. âI could only use it the once, but I think youâre perfect for its use. Donât you?â Keith fell to ground, the yew stake evaporating like dust on the wind. âOf course you donât.â
A small white cat appeared at Murrayâs feet, entwining itself among his ankles.
Murray looked down at it. âWhy are you here, Sorcha?â
The cat sĂŹth leapt to his shoulder to watch the battle.
âFine,â he huffed, âdonât tell me.â
Far too soon in Murrayâs opinion the manticore ripped off Billyâs head clean off. The body of the Dominus slid to the ground as the manticore tossed his head behind it.
âWow,â Murray said impressed. âThat was actually grotesque.â
Sorcha jumped down and walked up to the head. She opened her mouth and inhaled. A silvery mist came out of the mouth of the corpseâs head into hers.
âIt is done.â
Murray blinked at her and looked around in confusion. âWhat the fuck? Whatâs done, Sorcha?â
She ignored him and walked up to the manticore. âYou have held up your end of the bargain and we will hold up ours. May the road rise up to meet you.â
âAnd to you as well,â the manticore growled.
âYou both can talk?â Murray asked, rearing his head back in shock.
âWill you explain it to him?â Sorcha purred. âI must return home. I grow weak in this magic wasteland.â
âOf course,â the manticore grinned. âWell almost all of it.â
Sorcha chuckled. âBut of course.â And then like she was mist herself, she dissolved and was gone.
âWhat the fuck is going on?â Murray asked in fear. This had really slowed down his getaway. Alexei was waiting for him at that drug lordâs house.
âI will explain on the way,â the manticore growled. âThe alpha has scented the battle.â
Murrayâs eyes went wide and he grabbed his things, moving toward path that would take him to his mate.
Once they were far enough away from the clearing the manticore spoke.
âBilly isnât a true vampire no more than you are,â the beast growled.
âJust how does that even work?â
âThere are only two ways to become a vampire,â the manticore explained. âEither have the good fortune to be born as one or be bitten. To die a painful death to never breathe again. To have unlimited power but to never reproduce or enjoy the fairer aspects of life.â
Murrayâs expression twisted in disgust. âYuck.â
The manticore chuckled. âYes, Billy felt the same as you, but he wanted the power that came with vampirism. Weres donât live long enough to tempt Billy Hargrove. Oh no.â
âSounds like he was fucked,â Murray muttered, scenting the air. There was no smell or sound of anyone near them, but he couldnât put away his unease that he was in danger.
But that didnât make sense. The manticore was bound to him. The beast couldnât even break a sweat without Murray telling him to. But the sense of danger only heightened with each step.
âHe knew something most people in this modern age had long forgot,â the manticore said with a hint of laughter in his tone.
âYeah, whatâs that?â
âThat real magic exists,â the manticore hissed gleefully. âHe made a deal with Queen Titania. Serve her for one hundred years and he would be granted his wish. But Billy had no desire to actually be her slave. He managed to convince her to make him vampire first and then heâd serve her. He didnât want to come out of the Seelie court in the year 2085 and not know anything.â
Murray shrugged. âMakes sense to me. I wouldnât want to waste my life away in some Fairyland either.â
âYes,â the manticore agreed. âBut as soon as he got his power, he ran off to America outside of her power.â
âSo she sent the cat sĂŹth to hunt him down,â Murray guessed.
The beast nodded. âBut by the time Sorcha found him he was too powerful to dislodge without some help.â
âSo she enlisted you,â Murray concluded. âSo what do you get out of this deal?â
The manticore merely grinned. âWeâre here.â
Alexei popped his head up to the window and when he saw who it was, came running out, into Murrayâs arms.
âWeâre almost safe, my love,â Murray whispered. âDo you have the hostage?â
Alexei nodded. âShe was too easy to catch.â
Murray chuckled. He had to give Steve props for tightening security but itâs a little hard to guard something you didnât know could be taken.
âGo get her and bring her here,â he muttered. âI think weâre about to have company.â
Alexei nodded and trotted back to the boathouse. Murray pulled out a gun from his bag.
âSavage,â the manticore groused.
Murray chuckled. âI wouldnât expect a beast like you to understand. You canât change, you will always be what you are. A monster. But me? I use all the resources I have available to me. And that means guns and hostages.â
Murray grabbed the girl from Alexeiâs grasp and pressed the barrel of the gun to her temple.
Then crashing out of the woods were Steve, Hopper, Jonathan, and Gareth. On Steveâs back was Tommy.
Tommy immediately leapt from Steveâs back as he suddenly transformed.
âRobin!â Steve called.
~
Once the fire had been put out and they took stock of who was wounded and who was just covered in someone elseâs blood, Steve turned to find Tommy standing there, looking sheepishly at his feet.
âWhat are you doing here?â Steve growled. âI mean other than the obvious, spilling pack secrets.â
Tommyâs head shot up in shock. âYou knew?â
âSince the town meeting.â
Tommy blinked at him a moment. âYou never intended to mate with that vampire, did you?â
Steve scoffed. âItâs biologically impossible. You really should have paid more attention in school, Tommy.â
âOh.â
He cleared his throat and then kicked at the dirt. âI actually was trying to warn Billy that they were going to attack, but I was too late.â
âExplain,â Steve growled. âAnd be quick.â
So Tommy explained everything. The deal he made with Billy, the information he had sold to him, and the puppet master and all his machinations.
Just then Hopper and Jonathan came tearing up to them, Gareth easily keeping pace behind them.
âRobinâs been kidnapped!â Hopper bit out, panting for breath.
Steve stood up straight. âWhere would he go?â
âThe clearing I spotted them in was near Loverâs Lake,â Tommy said. âMaybe they have a safe house near there.â
âReefer Rickâs,â Hopper said gruffly. âHeâs the closest thing Hawkins gets to a drug lord, but heâs got a house out there on the lake. He gets supplies air dropped on the lake and then goes out and scoops them up.â
Steve nodded. âLetâs go.â He turned to Tommy. âYouâre coming with. Youâre the only one whoâs scented the mate. Hopper, lead the way.â
The old wolf nodded and waited for Steve to transform. Jeff helped the keeper onto Steveâs back.
âIâm going to find out whatâs keeping Eddie and Wayne,â Jeff said. âThey should have been here by now. Weâll all meet up at the lake.â
Steve nodded and waited until Jeff had taken flight before the three werewolves and the gwyllgi took off, heading for Loverâs Lake.
~
Robin was struggling to stay on her feet, her height far greater than that of her captor caused her to almost have to kneel to avoid being choked by him.
âIf Hopper had just removed Alexeiâs banishment none of this would have happened!â Murray screamed. âHe didnât do anything wrong. Those werenât kids they were Hunters!â
âHe tore them to pieces, Murray,â Hopper said, shifting into a human. He held out his hand, trying to calm him. âIt doesnât matter who they were, or what they were planning. He should have gone to his alpha told him about the Hunters. Let the alpha deal with them. But he didnât.â
WHOOSH!
The three vampires landed deftly behind the ring of Shifters.
âIt was sadistic,â Wayne said with a sneer. âThey were played with. Alexei isnât well.â
âHe didnât have a drop of blood on him!â Murray protested.
Hopper stepped forward and Murray tightened his grip on Robin. âIf you take one more step, Hop, Iâll blow her god damn brains out. I swear I will. If you move, her blood will be on your hands.â
Something thrummed deep inside of Steve. That was a call back to what he had told Hopper when Eddie had to use force to get Steve to come out of the compound all the way back to when this all started.
âYou sent the Hunters after me,â he said coldly.
Murray sneered. âYou alphas are always the same all brute and no intelligence. Yes, I did it all you dumb mongrel!â He pulled on Robinâs hair causing her to scream in pain. âAll of it! Saraâs death by having Alexei tamper with her chemo, getting Hopper on as many drugs as possible, the murder of your grandfather and parents, Hopperâs kidnapping! But still you stupid alphas refused to see the truth! Alexei had been framed!â
Then a sleek, dark brown wolf oozed out of the forest, all danger and cunning. Nancy was one of the most beautiful purebred werewolves Steve had ever laid eyes on. She was everything that humanity had ever written on the subject of werewolves. He still loved her, because how could anyone not, but god he was glad he had Eddie now.
âHe hasnât been framed, Mr. Bauman,â she said her transformation even more fluid and graceful than Hoppers. âNot in the way you think. You two donât belong here.â
âNancy?â Wayne asked stepping forward. âWhatâs going on?â
âI belong here, you witch!â Murray screamed and Hopped instinctively took a step forward.
They all watched in horror and slow motion as he pulled the trigger, the muzzle flash, and the bullet striking Robinâs temple.
Then falling harmlessly to the ground.
Robin blinked a moment. âYou arenât using silver bullets?â she asked sheepishly.
Everyone was staring at her in shock, all but Steve who was chuckling.
âI wouldnât use something that would accidentally get me killed!â he protested. âIâm not stupid.â
Robin grinned and then leapt out of his hold, bright and golden. A bitten werewolf. She turned in the air like she was made to be a werewolf. She was stunning.
She bounded straight for Murrayâs throat and the gun went flying. She tore off a necklace he had around his neck and it too went flying the other direction.
âNo!â Murray screamed. âNot that! You donât know what youâve done!â
The scorpion on the necklace began to pulse. Then it shattered in a blinding flash of light.
Standing in its place was the manticore. In all its freaky glory. The face of a human, the body of a lion and the tail of a scorpion.
The manticore stretched out its lithe body. âThe cat sĂŹth made good on their word. I will have to thank them.â He turned to the crowd. âAfter I eat all of you, of course. Itâs been so long since Iâve had such a buffet of delights.â
But as it leapt into the air, another creature appeared in the air behind it. It too had a human face but the body of a bird.
It began to sing about being still and quiet and everyone froze. The manticore crashed to ground in a crumpled form.
The siren grabbed the manticore by the mane and lifted it up into the air. He tossed it into Loverâs Lake like a rag doll. The beast howled and snarled as it was ripped apart by...
Seals?
Blood soaked the top of the water turning it dark red. Then one of the seals stepped out of the water and pulled back the sealâs head like the hood of a cloak. It revealed a red-headed girl with bright green eyes and freckles. Next to her the siren transformed into a chubby young man with wild hair.
âBarb?!â Nancy called out in amazement just as Jeff called out, âBrian!â
~
DUN! DUN! DUHHHHH! Hehehe. Cliffhanger!
GENSHIN WITH A TEEN!CREATOR WHO IS LIKE LUZ NOCEDA PART TWO
okay so this is part two and i'm just so dizzy but i'v been ALL THE MAMAHUEVO day thinking about this so yeah
TW: gn reader, teenager reader (ALL IS PLATONIC), some mentions of bullying but not that many, maybe sm angstand a lot of spoilers abut the archons missions, reader calling themselfs "bad boy" but meh
part one :)
So you were running for your life
No, seriously you're running for your life, don't laugh about it again
Some random people with a very ugly green uniform were hunting you like you were some type of a witch of the 1600's because you tried to ask them for directions
People of the town being so mean to you sounds like a frocking fanfic trope
Your weak nerd legs wouldn't handle it anymore, but you still running like they have told you there is a special product of your hyperfixation on sale.
AND! you have an egg
A magic egg, with... shinny shell
Running, running, running, blahblahblah, you almost pass out when you lost them closer to a beach
Pretty view, huh?
You heard their steps and hide behind a big stone, your legs and lap now wet by the crystal water
They left and you stop holding the staff like your life dependet of it.
Oh! that's your reflection, you haven't seen your face in hours
...
THAT'S NOT YOUR FACE
The horns and the black eyes felt like some very creep vision of yourself, but you couldn't get that first impresion of you out of your head.
You looked like something, not like someone
Even though your face looks "correct" now, the feeling of the itchy skin and the fragile organs aren't something you would forget any time soon.
"Well, let's not think about that, this bad boy needs to find any social community or will cry" you jump of the stone and continue walking wherever the wind guides you
Actaully, why does the wind feels like guiding you?
pointpointpoint
WHATEVER PROBABLY YOUR SKIN FELLING TO MUCH LIKE ALWAYS :D
(Venti actually let out a big sigh lol)
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY ARE GONE, JEAN?!"
"Why do I feel a deja vu about all this?"
And there they were, the most influent persons of all Mondstadt discussin about this very serious problem to solve... and a bard (who is actually their god but shhh).
"But, what do we do now? We don't have any idea of-" the bard was interrupted by the youngest girl.
"Master Jean, we must ask to the Traveler for more information, that letter is the only thing we have? Amber asked, her frown hidding her tears.
"Sadly yes, Amber. This is the only thing we have to prepare ourself in any case" Jean said, her untied blond hair flying around.
"What do you mean with 'prepare ourself', Jean?" Diluc asked, his leg shacking with anxiety.
"Well" the witch started, avoiding eye contact.
"Aether said... that probably his Guide... the new found god that had been helping us is now..." Kaeya said, walking around the room. Everyone felt his nerves, because they were just as nervous as him. "It's now corporeal"
"What"
"Corporeal, we can touch them, they are now... With us."
Silence filled the room, holding breaths and silent screams are all the winds can reach.
"Master Jean!" Noelle enter to the room, feeling the heavy vibes of the place, still stay with a anxious face.
"What's wrong, Noelle?" she replaid.
"Umh well..." She took a deep breath, letting it all out in a shout with a bow.
"There's a prisioner teenager who scaped from the bouild with rare magic, they don't have any visions and they act like they were from another world, like Traveler!" a quiet and long time pass, slow and slow and- "Okay I'm going, anything you need just say my name."
She leave, then, a loud shout singing the same song was heard in any corner of Monds.
"THE CREATOR!"
(For your lovely rollo event.)
Rollo, how do you feel about children? Either just in general or perhaps.. if you would ever want to be a father in the future?
Like Fire, Hellfire.
âChildren?â
He handled the word as though it were a skunkâinnocent and harmless for now but primed to spray at the first hint of danger. A muscle in his face ticked. It was though he wished to shift into a different emotion but hadn't yet decided which one.
Handkerchief out, Rollo sucked in a breath through his teeth. The usual disgust or disapproval was not present in full force. Today, it was tempered by hesitance as he tip-toed around the subject.
"They have the capacity to be rambunctious. Like fire, difficult to tame. Iâm not certain I can match their energy," he said vaguely. âThe children in the City of Flowers are free-spirited, and that tends to result in acts of mischief. Whether their pranks and games disturb public peace depends on the time and place. I'm not fond of the instances when they do."
A slight grimace crossed his features. "There was once an incident when a boy blew hard into a magically charmed handkerchief, and the noise it produced startled the baker at the cafe I was frequenting. He had just pulled out a fresh batch of croissants from the oven. The croissants ended up all over the floor... What a waste of perfectly good food. The baker, too, was quite upset, as you can imagine."
"What happened to the boy?"
"Ah, him. He attempted to abscond from the scene of the crime. In his rush to escape, he paid no attention to his surroundings and collided with me." Rollo waved a hand. "The baker's rage was upon him in an instant. The boy was shaking like a leaf in the windâhe grasped onto my robes to keep himself upright.â
Rollo drew out a sigh that ended in a small smile. âI managed to smooth things over with the baker, though I also spoke with the boy and had him apologize. One must atone for oneâs crimesâthat lesson was surely instilled in him that day.â
"Aw, it was nice of you to step in and speak on behalf of the little guy." You found yourself smiling as well. Even though Rollo-san always has this stern air about him⌠"You really have a soft spot for kids, huh?â
His frown quickly returned. "No, I wouldn't say that. I was merely holding the boy accountable for his actions. Children can so easily be led astray without proper instruction and moral guidance. Who is to say he wouldnât be a repeat offender if he was let off the hook?â
"Someone's in denial," you said in a teasing singsong. âItâs okay to confess that youâre good at taking care of kids, you know.â
â⌠I am not,â he insisted. âI am most content observing the children go about their simple days. I do not wish to take a larger part in their lives beyond that.â
A terrifying thought nipped at him from the dark crevices of his mind.
I donât have a right to.
If his heart were a house, then a window had been thrown open, letting the outside in. A hole opened in the dark, and incriminating light rushed to fill it.
A flower of pain blossomed in his chest, its thorns driving deep into his flesh. The blood that rose to the surface was both hot and cold. Burning scorn, icy remorse.
A deadly duo.
Spiraling.
I wasn't able to protect the one that mattered most of all. My magic came too late. I'm in no position to be a big brother, let alone a father, a grandfather, an uncle, a guardian of any sortâŚ!
Iâm not worthy.
Rollo gritted his teeth. His soul ablaze, his mind jumbled with emotions running high. He pushed back with teeth and nails.
Itâs not my fault. Iâm not to blame!! The one who cast this flame isâŚ!
âRollo-san?â
You were staring at him, concern seeping into your eyes. Curiosity, too, had bloomed there. It was the same sort of expression one makes at a a stray on the side of the road. Sorry for it, but uncertain about drawing near to check its condition.
He gaspedârealizing he had been making a most frightening face. Rearranging his features back into some semblance of calm, he cleared his throat.
â⌠Suffice to say, it is impossible in this current state of affairs for any child to grow up safe and free of sin. Around every bend and corner, there is temptation of magic calling out to them. How cruel!â he lamented pityingly. âThe poor things, like lambs led to the slaughter.â
You shuddered at the gruesome imageâhuman children like lambs.
Poor things, echoed your head. Poor Rollo, echoed your heart, thinking such things.
âUntil I can bring about that magic-free world into fruition, I cannot commit my efforts toward any other endeavors,â he concluded. âA world without all the pain and suffering of this one⌠I intend to see my goal through to the very end. That is my utmost priority.â
A fairer world for all.
For the children.
For him.
