So, how is tetocu23 handling this little boy?
Yes, that's right. since the legacy movie characters are going to be in this theoretical reboot, Tommy (AKA the locker kid from the film) is here. He's going to be slightly much happier here.
Emphasis on slightly.
- let's say Tommy is smart, determined and ruthless. He's rude to people she doesn’t trust. He's brash and stubborn. And he has a bit of claustrophobia.
- He has a passion for drawing and helping those around him, sometimes even worrying more about helping others than helping himself
- He sometimes has acts responsible, but not in a bossy way.
- To Krupp tho, he's seen as kind of a weirdo, for you see, he spends almost every time of the day drawing in his sketchbook
- He practices everyday to become a better artist, and he's been bullied because of it.
- Tommy doesn’t mind these comments, although they have made him less willing to share his drawings with others that aren’t named George and Harold or Dante (yes, he and Dante are friends in this one)
His design is showing the contrast between what he likes/his personal taste vs his mother's expectations/what he knows is the best choice.
What is this mother like? Well…
This is Miss Bluebell Clark. She's a single mother (yes, her wife is nowhere in the picture) and Jerome Horwitz Elementary's new drama teacher.
- basically the adult version of a theatre kid.
- has the middle name "Belinda".
- Really darn smart and conniving. Befitting her job as drama teacher, she's a very good actress. She has a knack for lying, twisting words and exploiting weaknesses. If you're Tommy, it’s very hard to know when she’s being genuine.
- When she first shows up, and around Alice, Bluebell acts all calm and collected, sweet, and innocent. Of course, that’s just a facade. Underneath that, there is a downright manipulative, cruel, calculating and self absorbed young lady who's willing to use and trample on anyone, even her own son. And remember when I said she acts innocent as her facade? No, on the inside, she is not. She's the reason why Tommy has a bit of claustrophobia (she hides him in lockers). Tommy even tries going to tetocu23!“Grace Wain” to try to get his mother fired. But Grace tells him that the only reason that she hasn't booted her out of there yet is because she has a feeling she's planning something, and also Bluebell's an 'asset' to the school.
- As vain as the peacock and refuses to get dirty.
- Near constantly tells Tommy 'dress exactly as I tell you'. As a result, Tommy suffers for it, as his mother sets the theme for his outfit each day, and he would rather wear something a little more plausible for a ten year old boy than the clothes of a theatre kid. Something local theatre kid Dante notices.
- Uses emotional abuse on Tommy. But when she's mad at Tommy, it can get a little hairy.
- Her personality can change from nasty to sweet on a dime. If she wrote one poem as a nice person and one poem as a bad person, you would not think the same person wrote both poems. That's how two sided she is.
- The only thing that she makes known of her real self is her treatment of Tommy. As a result, everyone feels bad for Tommy and hates Bluebell.
- She thinks most teachers (and Edith) as her subjects, blissfully unaware of what everyone thinks of her. Mr. Ree, however, makes her blood boil, to the point she has a sign on the staff room saying "Janitors do not count as teachers. They are not allowed."
- I think Bluebell would make everyone hate Tommy. This hatred of him would eventually bubble over and Tommy gets monster-fied. as a result, the boys and captain have to fight him as a monster of the week. Eventually, Tommy gets turned back to normal, and now everyone loves the boy :)
- Bluebell sees it differently. When Cash shows up, she INSTANTLY hates him and works in secret with Krupp, despite our principal not treating Cash as horribly as canon, to turn almost everyone against the man. Poor Cash is just confused as to why everyone but Javi and Alice hates him.
Alice: I love playing the Sims. It's basic. You build a house, make people who live in it, done.
Cash: I'm quite fond of The Sims 4: Get Famous.
Javi: I love making my sims get jobs.
Bluebell: I did things like removing all the doors to a room and making my neighbor pee themself or watching people drown in ladderless pools!
Javi: ...
Cash: You disgusting psychopath
Alice: (sarcastic) Bluebell, what would we do without you?
- When Cash and Javi confront Bluebell, Javi's like "So it was all you! You made everyone hate my boyfriend!" and Cash's like "How will you kill us? Will it be the classic beheading ooooor burn us at the stake like witches? Please, do get creative, I wouldn't want my death to be something generic." Bluebell's like "Nah, I won't kill either of you."
- Desperately wants to get rid of Cash and goes to great lengths to try and set up the parameters for his downfall, but it goes sideways in some way.
Bluebell: Do you want to be friends with me?
cash networth: of course! The more friends the merrier, so you join us!
Bluebell: I'm sure I won't backstab you in the end... (shows she had her fingers crossed) Or will I?
-Despite being a lesbian, Bluebell used to be dating Lavatore Ree. Then thanks to Lavatore playing it fast and loose, they drifted apart.
-When she reconciles with her ex-lover, Bluebell is very open about their relationship, while Lavatore keeps it a secret.
- Used to be Cara's right-hand-woman, until she quit.
- Has a rivalry with Alice. There was no reason for giving her this rivalry if I recall. But I think it's really funny that, while the blonde art teacher becomes the most popular teacher at a school of fun hating adults (thanks to treating her pupils nicely), the brunette drama teacher has a son who she treats horribly and makes herself public enemy number one.

[Image Description: Shelly, an admin of Team Aqua, with her Sharpedo. Shelly is depicted in her appearance from Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. She appears to be walking toward the right side of the image in a confident manner, one hand on her hip and her free hand holding a red and white Pokeball. Her Sharpedo, a blue shark-like Pokemon with a yellow star marking on the top of its head, is positioned behind her with its mouth open wide. The background is a patch of land overlooking a stormy sea with high, choppy waves. End ID.]
-----
“If the tremendous energy of Mt. Chimney and the Meteorite are combined, we of Team Aqua can take a giant step toward the world that we dream of! We won't let ignorant little brats get in our way!”
Another example of the ORAS designs for the team admins being so much goddamn better!! GBA Shelly was just An Aqua Grunt With Longer Hair to me, but now? Now?! She's actually a distinct individual! She has Personality! And it Shows! Amazing glow-up! ...that's the proper context for that phrase, right? I, uh, have a history of not exactly being on the pulse of what the common lingo of my peers has been, and also have a tendency to make up my own weird phrases that make no sense to anyone else... XD
Anyway, in my ongoing attempts to fix my way of drawing black people (or characters who can at least be reasonably assumed to be black going by skin tone alone, I know this was still pre-Ryme so we didn't have what I consider to be the culmination of Pokemon's attempts at making black characters look like actual black people beyond just "skin is dark, okay done") so they have more distinctly black features, I tried to make her lips a little bigger, but considering she wears lipstick I couldn't do the tone difference thing quite like I did with Rosemary a couple pics ago. That and gloves again, can't attempt the palm thing yet still. ...yeah I know I didn't do any of this for Rice Pilaf, I legit forgot since I'd colored that well in advance before I started making this effort. I'm fixing that in the future for him tho, don't worry ;3
Also, more talking about this art specifically, check out that background! Or rather, what you can see beyond the subjects, at least. Love how the water came out!! I am so damn proud of it, looks like a proper raging ocean! And fun fact, you'll be seeing that again. Yeah, I figured it was more fitting to draw the Magma and Aqua peeps with a background befitting their themes rather than where you fight them (Aqua peeps in a volcanic background? noooo!), so I'm using the backgrounds from this and the Tabitha pic thrice because I Like Them >:3c

—- —- —-
Sebastian Sallow was many things.
Quick witted, highly intelligent, skilled in his ways and most importantly — quite the talented escape artist.
Others would be quick to use cowardice to describe a man grown, running from the phantoms of his past and refusing to face his dues. With age came maturity and with this maturity, his aptitude for hiding and not being caught was profoundly better than it was when he was in his adolescence.
Though admittedly, the abrupt halt in his schooling left much to be desired as a budding powerful magic user, now having to rely on memory and what he could find in his travels.
So it was no surprise to all, least of all him when he only just understood apparition and how to use it properly still. Barely having breached the subject in his fifth year of schooling considering it was something taught in further depth in sixth and seventh year, though he had familiarized himself with short bursts of apparition with the help of that ever mystical new fifth year. Not particularly a welcome memory that was, reliving the anguish of disappointment and hatred that consumed his teenage years. Back then he was an impetulant, foolish boy with misguided curiosity.
Truth be told, he never truly believed he would be caught. The pseudo hubris that not only inflated his ego, it also blinded his logic which is why he was in this mess in the first place. No place to call home, no friend to fall on if he needed it. Solitude was destitute and it was the life he maybe not yearned for, but it was destined for him it seemed.
Despite his shortcomings and lack of knowledge for advanced practical use of spells like apparition, he was lucky to only come away several times mildly splinched and heavily disoriented when the ministry got a little too close to finding him once again. If he could avoid it, he would, opting for muggle transport more often than not and hiding in plain sight. Though it managed to suffice for seven years, it wouldn’t last forever.
Some part of him hoped that the ministry would lose interest, and when a year turned into seven, he slowly resolved that perhaps they would never not be in pursuit of a cold blooded killer.
Killer.
A title befit of the wretched man who cursed his sister, not a stupid young boy protecting her. He hadn’t meant it, truly, to kill their Uncle. As wicked and horrid as he may have been at times he was only ever looking out for them, only it was too late to reminisce and beg forgiveness to an empty space that once were occupied by his closest loved ones.
Nevermind the past, it was the present, the here and now, and right now — he needed to be on the move once again and with little to no time on his side at this instant he quickly gathered what small personal items he had and sealed them within his briefcase. Clothes, pictures, trinkets — whatever he needed with him at all times. Flipping through the muggle newspaper he eyed the first picture he could find that indicated a different location.
Holding onto his briefcase, he tucked the newspaper under his arm and thought vigorously about the picture he embedded into his mind. Not the traditional way of apparition, but it was better than nothing, most of his well known spots had become crawling with Aurors, and Merlin knows he would never show his face again in Feldcroft.
The familiar stretching, yanking and pulling through space was a sensation Sebastian never got used too, though it was necessary, the world around him blurring in quick succession until he landed not so gracefully on the hard ground, only slightly spraining his wrist from bracing his fall to the ground in a disoriented haze.
—- —-
Releasing a breath that doubled as relieving the ever building tension in her shoulders, Lucinda paced carefully around her pieces of parchment paper that played home to her scribblings and research. Surrounded by immense greenery and the fresh smell of soil and fertilizer, it was easy to call her makeshift greenhouse a home despite it being haphazardly thrown together.
Dense with plants made the medium sized shack rather difficult to navigate, practically making it a maze that only she knew how to navigate and weave through.
“— forget pleasantries, this discovery is of the essence,” she muttered to herself, a hand cupping her chin while she paced in deep thought while her heart raced. She may have looked crazed if anyone didn’t know better, her flaming red hair stuck out in numerous directions despite an attempt on slicking the hair back into a neat bun. Not to mention the soil that embedded itself in her clothes from the hours spent potting and tending to her plants. The dirt that stuck beneath her fingernails was quite unbecoming for a woman in this age, though she lacked the ability to care.
Perhaps, she considered having some time to change and clean herself up —
Her head snapped up immediately to the sound of unmistakably a pile of her empty ceramic pots shattering, prompting her quickly from her daze and over to the commotion. Lucinda squeezed through a small crevice of stacked boxes that her Ivy had unceremoniously entangled itself with and ducked under the wisteria canopy that she had cultivated from a small pot she had been given in her travels.
By the entrance, her eyes set upon the shattered pots and the person who seemed to be the culprit, hunched over and rigid as if he had accidentally bumped into the wall.
At the sound of her footsteps, he shot up straight, only to whack his head on one of her hanging baskets that she recently repotted with her beloved Monstera.
“I’m — Apologies.” He muttered, rubbing the back of his head that impacted her plant. Only slightly disoriented, he had no intention of ending up here, he was merely just trying to go somewhere else and away. His eyes finally focused on the woman before him, nearly having to do a double take given her appearance but once he made clear it was in-fact, not, a former Professor of his he had to admit that if he had to come across anyone this evening, he was glad he came across quite the beautiful young woman.
Though time was of the essence for Lucinda and she could easily clean the mess up after her research was to be formally addressed, so much so she completely overlooked the disheveled appearance of her new freckled companion.
“Brilliant! The academy sent you, a pleasure to meet you.” She rushed over to him, taking his hand and shaking it rather firmly and overenthusiastically. He opened his mouth to speak but she had one surprising grip on her as she took his wrist and pulled him further into the Greenhouse, he barely had a moment to set his briefcase down. “When I tell you I nearly threw a fit when I found this. Absolutely astounding discovery this one is! I was on one of my expeditions to harvest some Downy Hemp Nettle in Scotland when I came across this plant I had never seen before.”
Her voice was high with excitement as she finally let go of the man's wrist and presented him with her latest find on the table. “I’ve been studying it for weeks. I think it must be some distant relative to our well-known flytrap species. Entirely carnivorous but this one has a far bigger appetite than flies and insects. It nearly took my hand off when I fed it some dead rats.” She laughed, brushing off the ordeal and the memory of last week as if she didn’t fear for her life for but a moment.
Once again, the man opened his mouth to speak but she dismissed him as if she was aware of what he was going to say, “right! You’re right, we can’t just base this discovery off one, which is precisely why I intend to traverse the rest of Europe and look for similar plants, harvest their seeds and bring them back for more research… But I need the Academy’s approval first.”
There was a brief pause, the man hesitantly opening his mouth in case she were to interrupt him once again, but she politely stood in front of him and kept her hands clasped together while she awaited eagerly for a response.
“I am terribly sorry but you must have me mistaken, I didn’t mean to intrude… I sort of just… arrived here.” He admitted, though he wasn’t exactly lying, he did quite literally appear out of thin air only moments before.
The expression on her face drops slightly, before her eyes narrowed, “so you just wandered in here? Did Oxford put you up to this?” Her tone was accusatory which had taken him completely off guard, she bawled her hands into fists and looked down at her feet, gritting her teeth, “They’re always trying to steal my research — those bumbling fools.”
“No, no. Wouldn’t dream of it. But I will be on my way.” He put his hands up in defense, not wanting to bother the poor woman any longer than he had just by appearing. The last thing he wanted was to be caught up in Muggle business, even if said muggle seemed to have found herself quite the dangerous magical plant.
She pointed a finger at him, “now hold on a moment, how exactly did you even come about this place? I can’t just let you leave, what if you tell every Tom, Dick and Harry that I'm on the brink of groundbreaking research?”
Hands still in the air, as if it would save him from being absolutely brutalized by the woman who was incredibly passionate about her work it seemed. “I won’t tell a soul, you have my word — I was just around, found this place and I promise that is it.”
Physically she relaxed, dropped her hands to her side and relented. Lucinda was beyond paranoid, questioning every prying eye that stumbled into her greenhouse or sported a friendly chat with her at the pub. It was taking over her life, convinced most people were out to get her and steal her hard earned research. Hard enough as it was being a Botanist and trying to get people to take her seriously, it was even more difficult to be taken seriously as a Woman and a botanist.
Seeing how deflated she was made insurmountable guilt bubble within his stomach, offering her a polite smile, “should you find yourself in need of a name for that -,” he pointed over to the plant he was familiar with, “- might I suggest Venomous Tentacular.” It was wrong of him to help her, let alone wrong of him to out the poor plants real name to a Muggle no less. Yet, he felt compelled to do so anyway. The woman had kind eyes and an unmistakable amount of determination which he could both recognise and admire.
She looked at him dumbfounded, eyebrows knitting together as she glanced back over her parchment of scribblings and notes, “how did you know it produced Venom?” Her eyes narrowed in curiosity, first this man had simply appeared who wasn’t at all here on behalf of the academy and not only is not shocked at her find but knows about an aspect of the plant that took her days to figure out.
He blew out a breath that indicated he seemed to have been caught red-handed, there was no way he could simply charm his way out of this one. “I— well I actually didn’t, it just… Looks… like it’s venomous.”
Once again, her piercing gaze remained on him as she tried her best to read between the lines in search of a lie or anything sinister beneath his handsome allure. Though his words seemed to be deceitful, she couldn’t deny that his brown eyes were one of sincerity and seemingly trustworthy. If she had any hope in making a name for herself, she needed to begin trusting people - arguably not random men who found their way into her greenhouse.
As the silence grew she opened her mouth to wave off the stranger, only interrupted by yet another chime of shattering ceramic pots catching her attention. She sighed, bowing her head in frustration, bringing a hand to her face and pinching the bridge of her nose.
“You should really move those pots,” he offered, an attempt to lighten the mood.
“Stay here.” She firmly instructed, disappearing amongst the clutter toward the location of the freshly shattered pots.
He thought about leaving the same way he arrived, though something within him compelled him to stay. Most notably how on earth had a muggle come across a Venomous Tentacluar and survived, let alone handle it to a secondary location without angering it. Most perplexing indeed. Never had he seen a domesticated magical plant at the hands of a muggle seem so… well, content.
It wasn’t wise of him to stick around for too long, lest he be found and that wasn’t particularly ideal for his current situation. But for the meantime he remained, sighing to himself and placing his hands in his pockets idly, making note of the myriad of plants surrounding him, reminding him of just how rubbish he was with plants. No amount of book reading on caring for plants, ever could prepare him for actually doing so. It was as if the plants themselves could detect he was rotten before he even had the chance to see that side of him come to fruition.
Two voices ripped him from his thoughts, as he was joined once again by the ever fascinating muggle and another who he didn’t care to recognise.
“—This is my… companion.” She gestured to Sebastian, lying coming as second nature to her and seeming to catch him completely off guard which gave him little time to actually react but he recovered swiftly. Were all muggles this quick?
“Sebastian,” he reached out a hand to shake the older fellow's hand firmly.
Lucinda wasn’t entirely sure why she decided the best course of action was to lie to the Academy representative, she figured it would be harder to explain how and most importantly why there was a stranger in her greenhouse to an academic scholar. She also saw this as an opportunity to seize the moment, seeing him as a ticket to being taken seriously considering he was a man after all.
Her spiel wasn’t too dissimilar to the one she had addressed to Sebastian, though she answered many of the questions succinctly and concisely before announcing she would be embarking on an expedition to see similar kinds of species across continental Europe. This of course needed approval of the academy to fund such an extensive trip but the representative was rather enamored by her find.
Before long, the two of them remained alone in the greenhouse once more, both having burning questions for the other respectively.
“Don’t suppose you have an explanation for that little lie, would you?” He questioned, leaning up against her work station with arms folded, this very position reminded him instantly of how many Professors had done the same when reprimanding him in school, it felt rather like he was scolding her but he was more or less impressed with her improvisation given the degree she cared for her research.
She was scribbling notes on paper, not at all giving the man a single glance, “of course I do, my reputation is already muddied being a Woman and I’d find it rather difficult to explain how a complete stranger stumbled across my greenhouse… Seems all in all a bit like a farce if you ask me.”
There was absolutely no denying that explanation, far be it for Sebastian to question simple logic, though it was troublesome that equality was one of the bigger reasons she was struggling to make strides. “Of course, makes perfect sense to me.” He reasoned, though his tone always simmering with that telltale sign of sarcasm made her look up from her scribblings and stare at him.
“You know, Sebastian, I’m still not entirely certain I can trust you.” Her hazel eyes narrowed at him. Sure he might have had a bespoke aura that gave her the impression he was trustworthy but she also wasn’t sure what to make of his attitude.
The pointed look on her face, the narrowed eyes but despite that they were still kind eyes rang all too familiar to him. She reminded him much of Professor Garlick. And it wasn’t only the appearance, but perhaps he may be a tad too disingenuous thinking that most red heads all looked the same.
“Trusting me in my experience has led to disappointment, so I wouldn’t if I were you.” He intended on making light of his shortcomings, but instead sounded rather bitter about his past, not that he really had the right to have fond memories, it was after all his own fault for the reason he lives like he does now.
She seemed rather stumped at the bluntness, matched with the bitter expression that contorted onto his face but she hardly missed the sadness in his eyes. It may appear she had found a kindred spirit, someone hard done by and that alone was enough to get her trust albeit brash and idiotic of her to come to a decision so quickly. She outstretched her hand, prompting him to shake it properly this time now that her nerves were long gone, “well then, we have a lot more in common.. Lucinda Cornwall, Botanist - but you can call me Luce.”
Hesitantly, he took her hand, not entirely believing the night he had. Though he briefly recalls almost similarly one of the times he befriended an old muggle couple just outside Birmingham. He owed those two more than they would ever know, though he was positive once the ministry got their hands on the two they had their memories altered. Not a fate he would wish upon his newfound lady friend. It was better he distanced himself entirely, if not completely disengaged from her once the night was over.
“Say Luce, you wouldn’t happen to know of any boarding rooms nearby?” He posed the question, already knowing the answer given the time of night it was, but there was no harm in asking, especially if she was local. It was late and had been a dreadfully long day for him especially apparating last minute like he did, his body ached and his eyelids began to sting with the overwhelming need to rest.
Lucinda paused momentarily, having signed off some last minute notes to remind herself of what to do on the morrow when morning broke. He had half a mind to repeat himself thinking she hadn’t heard him when she stopped scribbling and drifted her eyes to the ceiling in thought, “Eltham street, they have some boarding rooms for travelers but they won’t take anyone this late, no matter how desperate you are — Where exactly are you from again?”
“I never mentioned it.” He cleared his throat, shuffling uncomfortably from foot to foot.
“Right…” Her head had been tilted down at her notes but he caught her looking at him through her lashes in-between note taking, “I don’t normally offer strange men a room, but if you need somewhere tonight I have a couch…” She ceased note taking and fully had her eyes on him now, sizing him up. He was stocky and built, broad across the shoulders and had quite a few inches on her. Though his kind eyes held nothing sinister that piqued her danger radar it was always best to be sure, “and I sleep with a cleaver so don’t try anything.”
The slightest chuckle erupted from his lips and subsequently strangled in his throat when he realized she wasn’t joking. No, of course she wasn’t. Why would she joke about such a thing? “That is kind of you, I will be out of your hair by the morning.”
She curtly nodded, pushing off the unstable wall of boxes she had leaned against. Her heartbeat was rapidly beating, partly out of fear that she had just invited a gentleman over that she barely knew, on top of that she was certain that the only reason the academy humoured her this evening was because Sebastian was present. She couldn’t let him get too far away, what if she needed him just to stand there and be… Well, be a man for her.

Fun Fax: OLM Chapter 9
the “BECAUSE YOU’RE MY BROTHER” line was originally one much closer to one from a scene from GOTG vol 2, between Nebula and Gamora (“No you always had to win and I JUST WANTED A SISTER”), and that whole energy was kind of what inspired that scenario in the first place lol. the convo that was the majority of this chapter was planned prior, but i wasn’t sure what the catalyst for it was until i remembered that scene. GOTG is the only mcu thing i will admit to being inspired by lol
“You’re still in love with her, aren’t you?” is ANOTHER huge line this chapter was planned around, and by golly the entire thing surrounding that hurt so bad to write hdjsd
multiple events brought up about Kaz and Lee’s childhood are ideas i’ve had the mind to put on paper as oneshots before, and with any luck i might be able to at some point lol
the thing with Kazumi’s necklace was inspired by Tekken: The Motion Picture!! a very flawed, incredibly non-canon, but still rather interesting take on tk2 era Kazuya especially, and i actually enjoy it quite a lot lol. this tidbit is one of the only things taken from that film tho, and just like in TTMP, Kazuya forgot about that precious necklace in his rage and climb to power 😬
the conversation itself i struggled with greatly, because dialogue is one of the most intimidating areas of writing for me, right behind setting description. i also have ADHD like crazy so natural convo flow is hard for me to identify, hopefully it reads well enough lol. coming of off that:
part of me is horrified at how HUGE this conversation is, but mostly at how many subjects it covers dhskd. i didn’t want to make multiple giant convos about kazuya’s lack of emotional awareness and consideration for anyone but himself to happen, cause yikes, so in horror i put the majority of it all into one lol. do not worry tho this is not the last of Kaz being lectured and he and Lee getting into spats, that lasts for eternity rip
it’s mentioned in the chapter notes, but the brother’s dynamic in childhood and the particular brand of bitterness brought up this chapter i know to be a far cry from others i’ve read. i think that other stuff is great! but while i’m going on a HUGE limb with this whole fic, i wanted to retain as much as we know as canon as i can, and the only thing stated between Lee and Kaz is that they kinda hate each other. clearly not what i really have going on here, but i did want them to be at odds for the majority of their childhood. Lee avoiding Heihachi’s wrath and seeming a lot meeker in contrast seemed befitting of his more “social manipulator” feel and i wanted to do my own thing. regardless, i’m worried people won’t like that just because most other stuff i’ve seen of them in fic has them a lot more united lol. i could ramble abt them alone for ages, but i may do a genuine one shot collection of them to get my idea for their dynamic down a little more pat

Fruit Associations & The Sides
Okay. Okay. I’ve been thinking a lot about this jam set, man.
Patton - Idiom "just peachy" comes to mind. The funny thing is about this phrase is that sometimes people use it sarcastically or to veil “I’m actually not fine.“ (Amusing how one can get opposing meanings/sentiments here - and some of the emotional stuff he brings.)
The color scheme of peach/mango is very “sunny“ and he probably has the mildest flavor in the bunch. Suits him.
Roman - idiom "cherry on top” comes to mind. The flourish that completes the picture. Dramatic idiom for dramatic side.
Logan - Blackberry with the electronic device. Pomegranate because it's meticulous to eat and break down - finicky but delicious. Pomegranate also has a bitter rind and pith. Can't just chomp into it like, say, an apple. Kinda suits the guy’s exterior.
Logan and Roman - have rose family berries in common, which amuses me - blackberry and raspberry. Both can be thorny (the fruit and the characters.) But they share valued fruit (the plant and symbol of the things these two bring to the table.)
Virgil - Cranberry because he’s a bit of a sourpuss. Blueberry because association with the blues, given his melancholic bent.
The fact Virgil has cherry buried in ingredients list kinda makes me think of the sarcastic application of "cherry on top". His relationship as a figurative fire under Roman’s ass makes the link also amusing. (Entirely feasible it’s inclusion was basically “it just tasted good.“ But he’s the only one of the set with a tertiary fruit flavor... hmmm...)
Also has another flavoring derivative - grape concentrate (not whole/raw fruit like above). Gotta get more explicitly purple color association in there too. Quite possibly the most complicated profile of the bunch. (Which, I suppose is fitting.)
Everybody technically has apple pectin. But that’s mostly there to thicken the fruit spread - a texture contributor more than flavor (pectin is a staple/principle ingredient in most jams/jellies.)
#sanders sides#patton sanders#roman sanders#virgil sanders#logan sanders#food/#(subjective opinion: i ADORE rubus berries like blackberry and raspberries - man)#(loganberry is technically also same genus - so i can see how they used blackberry as analog during the last iteration of logan's jam)#(for real tho: so far loving the shit outta virgil's jam)#(theory time: since V's jam is so complex... i wonder if Janus and Remus's jams would similarly have tert/extra flavor constituents to 'em)#(befits the dork sides to have hidden sides to their jams... hidden in the ingredients list... pffft)#(this is me in full-on food scientist [i like finding botanical relationships in food + just how flavors interact] / linguist mode rn)

Can I ask why you dislike Kylo as a character? I'm ambivalent on him and trying to form an opinion, but all I've seen is either "he's such a tortured, misunderstood baby who just needs love uwu" or "he's an emo, boring, whiny man-child and a waste of space", neither of which sounds very insightful or properly analytical of him as a character.
He’s pretty divisive in fandom, so I’ll try and be as objective as I can (obv still my opinion tho). For the sake of simplicity, I’m sticking to the film canon and won’t be straying anywhere near the comics because most of the SW audience haven’t read them. If you can’t explain your villain in your primary films and need the extended literature to do it for you, then you haven’t done a very good job at making a character.
My biggest issue with Kylo is that I don’t find him to be a very well-developed character. There are so many gaps in his development, it’s easy to project (good and bad) opinions on him. It’s probably why metas range from making him the worst person ever to the poor misunderstood baby.
Weak origin story
As far as what the films have shown us, Kylo came from a loving home and was training with the one of the greatest Jedi heroes ever. And then...uh, Snoke got to him. Unless there’s an explanation somewhere else, this ‘darkness’ in Kylo just manifested itself even before Luke tried to kill him (completely OOC but ok).
We saw Darth Vader fall. We saw Palpatine get to Anakin and manipulate him, saw the Jedi Order turn its back on him, and saw why he fell from grace. But there’s never any of that with Kylo, so I find his background very flat. Darkness just popping up like an unwanted pimple isn’t really convincing.
He’s conflicted but we never see it
TLJ was all about Kylo apparently being caught between the light and dark, but that’s never physically manifested. Snoke tells him his loyalty is wavering (but where) and Rey asks him to join the Resistence because she sees him wavering (but where). Despite not killing Leia, one moment where he showed his only hesitation, it’s not enough to counter the decisively wrong actions he’s committed throughout the two films, like killing Han and trying to kill Luke.
I’ve seen people say that killing Snoke was his moment of goodness, but I have an issue with that. He doesn’t kill Snoke for Rey. Kylo kills Snoke for power. He sees Rey’s potential in context of his own ambition, not for her good heart - and Snoke threatened that. To Kylo, Snoke became a dead-end where Rey was his key to becoming Supreme. That’s not someone conflicted between light and dark, that’s someone who wants power and is willing to murder and manipulate his way to get to it. It’s very Cersei-esque. But Cersei’s descent into such a person has a backstory and an explanation, Kylo does not.
My point is that for a conflicted, complex villain, there isn’t much conflict at all. Kylo seems rather set in his dark ways, and he’s rarely shown any indication of otherwise. He’s loyal to no one and nothing but his own self-serving interest. That’s not necessarily a bad thing - in a villain. He’s just a bad guy with bad intentions who happens to not hate his mother as much as everyone else, but making him into anything more was never translated on screen.
Intimidation Factor: 0
To give him credit, when we first saw Kylo, he looked impressive. The Knights of Ren could have been totally cool and if he’d stayed as the calm but deadly traitor son of Han and Leia, I could roll with it.
But he didn’t. Vader and Palpatine had the gravitas to intimidate and strike fear in everyone around them. You could see why they were the big baddies on top, they were so powerful and unyielding - and they rarely lost their temper, which made them more in control. Terrifying stuff. Kylo’s own men show such disrespect towards him, I’m not sure why we, as the audience, should show him otherwise. His volatile nature isn’t befitting that of one who’s looking to be powerful. If he can’t control his own temper or his actions, how does he expect to control the universe? Or anything, really?
oOo
I could go on about disliking character traits but that’s becoming a little too subjective and I said I’d try to be a little objective. Not sure if I succeeded lol as I’m sure others will disagree, but these are my main issues with Kylo and why I’m not impressed that he’s become one of the main characters of the new trilogy. Granted, these are issues that affect the protagonists, but unfortunately, Kylo Ren has Darth Vader as his predecessor. And compared to Darth Vader, he’s not even half as impressive or iconic.

Kingdom (2019)
After a hiatus I’m coming back to Dramaland, along side Ju Ji Hoon who has been absent for the last four years. Yes! Can you believe he hasn’t filmed a drama since Mask? It seems befitting he’s making his comeback playing a Crown Prince since long ago that was his introduction to the world when he nabbed the ever so popular leading role in Goong (2006) but the circumstances between that character and the one in Kingdom are completely different.
The show starts at night, physician Lee and his young disciple are preparing food and medicine for the King, who has fallen ill, but things turn sour quickly.
Meanwhile, outside the palace a political persecution is taking place. Due to his majesty’s condition, many scholars believe the young Queen and her Father have taken over the government in order to achieve power for their own clan. The same erudites have been arrested and tortured for putting up signs all over the Capital declaring the King to be actually dead and shown their support for the Crown Prince, hoping that he will stop the political ambitions of his stepmother’s family.
Crown Prince Lee Chang (Ju Ji Hoon) has no power nor permission to check whatever his father is alive or not, doubting all the servants who seem to follow the Queen’s orders to keep him away. The only person Lee Chang seems to trust among everyone inside the palace is Moo-young (Kim San Ho), his personal guard, who he ask to bring him the medical royal journal where the palace’s doctor keeps daily record of everything affecting the King.
Things get even more complicated when Lee Chang finally is able to sneak into his Father’s chambers, in the dead of night, only to overhear two eunuchs speaking about how the King has gone missing... but soon he finds out another truth even worse.
In another city, Seo Bi (Bae Doona) is a nurse working at the clinic of physician Lee, the doctor we met at the beginning of the episode. She, alongside the other nurses and patients, is waiting for the doctor to return from the Capital, while dealing with terrible living conditions, for people are dying of starvation rather that the deceases that plague them. The picture is gruesome, to say something, and I believe a little preview of what’s to come in the next episodes.
I will be honest, when I first read Kingdom’s premise, back when it was first announced, it didn’t convince me at all. A historical kdrama of people fighting zombies? Meh... but Kim Eun-hee (tvN’s Signal) was going to be in charge of the writing so I kept an eye on the project.
For a first episode, it’s a solid introduction to the world of Kingdom. Through out the first 20 minutes we are being told bits of information but it’s Lee Chang who is trying to make the connections, as if he were us, trying to figure out what is happening to his father without realizing yet there’s something bigger at play.
Ju Ji Hoon does a good work in his role as Crown Prince. I find his character intriguing, halfway the episode we find out something about him that tells us, the audience, there’s more to his character than what meets the eye. As per usual with historical stories, the characters’ motivations are kept secret.
I appreciate, tho, the friendship between Lee Chang and Moo-young, which seems to be sincere and open. Moo-young seems to have told everything about his life to Lee Chang and in return the Prince chooses to be honest with him as well as to why he needs to find out the truth.
Seo Bi and the characters at the clinic are the ones who had it worse so far. There’s this one particular character she clashes all the time, Young-shin (Kim Sung Kyu), whose desperation in order to survive turn things from bad to worse. I don’t know how to feel about the storyline we were presented between these two, I’m sure the things Young-shin talks about are true, the human need to survive makes us do unconscionable things under certain circumstances, but I’m choosing to side with Seo Bi on this subject.
What the show does right is give us enough information to know what’s coming but keep us in the dark long enough to have no clue on how things are going to unfold from here on. And the time in which the story is set actually plays in favor, making certain desiciones and arguments more believable to happen.
If you like the genre and you enjoyed the 2016 blockbuster Train to Busan, I think this might be your cup of tea.

A Enchiridion TO Ceremonial Invitee Wear BY Clothing Write Nuptials Coiffe Codes Demystified: Choosing the Paw Vesture At few component in our lives, most of us play a dispute that is exclusive presented on nuptials invitations: deciphering the frock cipher. Often, the communication victimised to account the befitting typewrite of attire for the event leaves a lot to be desirable, especially if you don't attend these sorts of occasions oftentimes. So, if you don't bang your "black tie optional" from your "dressy careless," here are few guidelines to get you on the appropriate belt. Educator Tie A discolour tie wedding is the most starchy of the lot. Traditionally, this substance floor-length gowns for women and tuxedos for men. This is also an usurp clip for women to act opera-length handwear, either in educator or form coordinated with the tog, but the improver of gloves is elective. In fact, flat men are encouraged to mortal a set of handwear in either individual or hoary for the liaison. Women also pauperization to superior situation that incomparable agree the overclothes and should select several of their finer jewelry for the event. It is also central to mention that wearing a view can be advised unbefitting during a covered tie affaire, as it suggests you are watching the abstraction because there may be somewhere added you'd rather be. End any bags to exclusive a smallish treadle, and modify trusty all textile and cosmetics choices reverberate the formal nature of the circumstance. Wicked Tie Grim tie weddings are also highly nominal, tho' they ply more flexibleness that their mortal tie counterparts. Illegal tie weddings are solace an evening thing and men are ease typically supposed to indispose a tuxedo, but laladpoiufhffouj- there is no condition to assume gloves. Women get added options divagation from full-length positive gowns in that upscale cocktail dresses, dressy separates, and conventional "little inglorious dresses" can be suited. The most eminent section for women is that they should order with positive dresses irrespective of the length. When in uncertainness, meditate whether the examine would be seize when portrayed succeeding to a tuxedo. If it doesn't seem to fit that story of positive vesture, then it is foremost to consider new options. Nominal and Disgraceful Tie Facultative An invitation that states the make encrypt is formal or unfortunate tie nonobligatory can depart things notion a bit polysemantic. Yet, that doesn't connect it is a provocative appear to hit. Men can hang in tuxedos within the colorful tie frock ideal or in cimmerian suits. Since men are presumption the alternative to dress somewhat fewer formally, women can ofttimes superior anything from a elongated ready to one that falls author into the cocktail habilitate collection. For both men and women, the appear is works supposed to be titular, so it is surpass to air on the face of slightly overdressed than low yellow prom dresses. But don't shy inaccurate from having a little writer fun with the accessories such as with a evidence necklace or an attention-grabbing case. Fanciful Dishonourable Tie and Festive The aim of a fanciful mordant tie or a festive conventional circumstance oft leads to mistake when ritual guests initial construe the content. Withal, this just way it is encouraged to show a short many personality when it comes to attire. The purpose is to strike a placement between literary and fun. In any cases, the yeasty or festive elements are premeditated to bed guests coiffure supported on the tune of a wedding. For instance, if the bride and participant are having a 1920s inspired ceremony, then binding festively substance guests hold the option of choosing clothing that activity with that air. Similarly, festive prepare for a nuptials neighbouring the subject winter holidays could include seasonally conquer colours and symmetrical the coruscation of whatsoever sequins. Formal When a party invitation requests formal or dressy nonchalant, it is often easier to cerebrate of it as a acting rhetorical circumstance. Men faculty traditionally deteriorate a check in a communication that would refer for a writer literary affect environment. Women may also prefer inspiration suits or a twin, learning congruent prettify. In both cases, the informal flatbottomed releases guests from the tralatitious proceeding and tie obligation. Men can don slacks with a collared shirt while women may determine pants and a blazer or a pencil adjoin and blouse. The heavy piece, again, is not to aim too folksy. And this agency jeans, no thing how city, are just a no-go. Dressy Perfunctory Dressy passing is the first punctuation where jeans may be an option. Yet, they should be in healthy improve and not overly shopworn or colorless. Additionally, they should be clothed up with items suchlike a cutting jacket or dressy blouse. Position should stay on the much ceremonious support, as sneakers or anything similarly easy would be unbefitting.
Beach Positive A nuptials on a beach automatically agency foreordained conventional attire is apt not required, as it is comprehended the clothing needs to be suitable for the dirt and switch guests testament encounter emerald green formal gown. Withal, that doesn't think jeans and t-shirts with flip-flops are deed to fly. Since a beach nuptials you present be up against the elements men should choose a summer suit (no ties required) that activity with sandals spell women should select a dressier sundress that can be tea or a ginglymus length change with a housing sandal. Daylight A diurnal party is typically inferior formal than an eventide amour black mermaid prom dress. This agency, unless a precise clothing is requested, it is often apt to tip insouciant, much as an turnout that would be suitable for a state order or connatural environment. Often, you can conduct cues from the surround in which the affair faculty use rank prom dresses 2020 trends. A service wedding followed by an inside reception may suggest a solon prescribed timing than a garden hymeneals with an outside getting. Where to Get Much Message If you change a observance invitation and aren't certain exactly what wear is suitable, you may necessity to consider getting statesman accumulation. Withal, try not to telephony the bride or train (they bed sufficiency on their scale). Instead, see if a member of the rite lot can wage the pellucidity you beggary. Often, they person a angelic disposition of what the dyad is exploit for and can wage you with an overview or what is existence requested. Hey darlings!! Hope everyone’s having a nice day so far!! :D To those of you lovelies who I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name’s Tia and let me warn you in advance that I’m a plot whore, so sooner or later Imma gonna be creeping at your inbox. OK, that just sounded quite creepy but I promise you that I’m far frm it and I just can wait to get to know y’all so much better! :)) Anyway, the gist of it is that I just LOVE LOVE <3 TO PLOT, so if any of you doves, wanna plot a connection or anything with Apollina, feel free to like this intro post and I’ll def hit up yr IM’s later when I’m more free <3 Below is Apollina’s bio :)
So as stated in my ooc intro post in the ooc blog, Apollina is the eldest child of the human Belgium king and currently the crown princess. So far, I’m imagining that she has 2 younger bros who are pretty to close to her age and two under-18 teenage twin sisters.
Ever since she was a young girl, she had always been an extraordinarily intelligent, sharp-eyed and extremely mature for her age. She had a HUGELY IMMENSE thirst for knowledge about everything and she was also a very eager learner. Her quick and sharp mind made it easy for her to catch and grasp stuff, so that resulted in opening her eyes to to the world, the state of her country and the workings of the political state as well as some other stuff.
She thus, turned out to be very forward-thinking, resourceful and pretty self-reliant which lead to her having many good ideas/thoughts and opinions on how to solve whatever problems the country had and on how to consistently improve/advance her country.
Eversince the supernatural community came out to the world in 1996, she had been fascinated to know more of the many supernatural species. Thus, she had whole-heartedly delved into reading, researching and gathering up as much knowledge and information as possible about them. That was not to say, she condoned the villanous acts or murderous rampages or lust for tyrannical power half of that community demanded/craved. She definitely frowned upon the creatures who had committed evil or extremely selfish deeds to benefit their ownself or their own kind solely and would like nothing better for those ppl to be stopped or punished at least. BUT since she was pretty clear-headed and open-minded, she definitely was smart not to condemn a whole supernatural species for the bad things done by only half of their population. She knew there must be good supernatural creatures around.
And she was proven right, through somehow fatefully getting to know a few supernaturals over the years who meant to do no real harm to humans and didn’t have any bad intentions for the human race. (hint: wcs here fr a few supernatural buddies ;)) She even had a tutor for one of her fav subjects, during her teenage years who was secretly a powerful Wiccan witch who had extended her aging and thus could pass off s looking to be about middle-aged. That witch was a very loving and generous soul who Apollina instantly quickly liked and befriended. her tutor then gradually find out about Apollina’s eagerness to expand her knowledge of the supernaturals and knowing the girl to be just enough not to use the information for evil gains, she then revealed her secret to the trustworthy teen, and taught her as much as she could about all kinds of info about the 3 main species of werewolves, witches, and vampires.
Thus, my cunning and clever baby has def not arrived unprepared as she has come stocked up with plenty of vervain (some which she has already ingested before arrival), vervain darts, wolfsbane grenades,a few stakes, some small magically charmed personal items by her dear witch tutor-friend (like her necklace & rings/ even dress) of her own which can protect her somewhat from other supernatural beings and thru her many travels over the years which she used, to lap up normal & supernatural cultural knowledge, she has searched hard and for now found 2 dark objects. All of this kept securely under a secret compartments in her many luggage bags..Ok ,my baby doesn't mean to purposely attack anyone with all her stuff, she's just being playing safe and smart to use them for self-defense purposes as she has def no plans to die anytime soon. PLus, in fact, she's somewhat hoping to be able to use this gathering as an opportunity to hopefully foster political/economical connections with some of the supernatural royals as being the always-forward and innovative thinker that she is, she can see that there are quite some benefits for everybody involved to work together to further improve/advance their respective countries
My poor baby has never really been in any sort of romantic relationship. For one thing, this ambitious, goal oriented, knowledge-hungry girl has hardly ever spared a thought for romance and wasn't bothered at all in seeking any romantic relationship. She is a warm and loving person but to her, all romantic stuff was just frivolous stuff and in some cases, could even be just small stuff for people to amuse themselves with and quite frankly isn;t really worth her time. Why be knee-deep, madly* passionately in love till you while your hours away doing romantic stuff for long periods of time. Isn't it far better to use your valuable time to devoting yourself in pursuit of information, advancement of your society socializing with platonic friends & family as well as networking? Thus, my baby isn;t really against romance but she just doesn't bother about it or see the necessity for it. Hence, she views her upcoming marriage to a supernatural as just an advantageous opportunity to foster alliances, gain peace and to hopefully further improve her country. She thinks a marriage is good enough if its based on mutual respect, understanding and maybe some caring for the other's welfare. She doesn't even think about the possibility of falling in love. She is just hoping that her future husband isn't a monster, is witty, smart , proper and has steady head on his shoulder and then they could be friends XD lmao
So her personality is that of a charming, highly intelligent, friendly, sociable, sharp-eyed, good-hearted and quite compassionate woman as she never wants to see anyone get hurt unless they truly deserve it or deserve to get punished for a wrongdoing. She cares deeply about her family, close friends and citizens and can be quite loving towards them. However, she doesn’t trust someone too easily or quickly as she had learnt that people carry many faces or hidden agendas, so she from early on had learnt how to put on a charming and amiable exterior altho on the inside her true feelings of either anger, frustration, or suspicions remain in the inside. She does show some sternness when dealing with wrongdoers but she never lets her emotions get out of control and does her best to appear collected. These actions were tiring at times, but hey that’s the life of an effective queen is it not?
Thus she can also be pretty cunning and subtly manipulative towards others, but solely for the reasons of doing good or for benefiting her loved ones or country. There are also times when she has a tendency to be impatient tho she does her best not to show it. She’s also an ambitious woman, goal-oriented, forward-thinking who’s always determined to reach her objectives or results.
She also cares a lot for elegance and behaving in a conduct that's befitting of crown princess in order to maintain a good and perfect public image, so that can sometimes be a pain in the ass to some people. She can also be a lil picky at times, and she is quite opinionated but she's wise& crafty enough to know when and how to voice them.and like i said earlier in her bio, while she isn't against them & , this crown princess doesn't really spare a thought of her precious time towards romance or lustful affairs/romps. She's benevolent toward her friends or people who are really into it or pursue it or in relationships but she's is not at all bothered about having this kind of stuff for herself. (tsk, tsk, this girl really needs to loosen up more and get the romantic part of her soul stirred up or shaken up somewhat.)
Oh and one of the things she is highkey not good at is singing. To her frustration and embarrassment, her vocal pipes ain’t that good for singing. Her voice is elegant and lovely enough on the ears when she is talking or giving eloquent speeches, but poor girl can’t sing very well. Despite having taken some classes, she’s still unable to master the art of singing well, so she can carry a decent moderate tone when she sings, but she can’t go deep and she specially can’t go high-pitch or try to sing loud vocals or else it’ll be horribly off-key or pitchy.
