Years ago my friends and I went to see Rocky Horror Picture Show at a community theater out in the middle of nowhere. After the show we stopped at an empty little diner to get pancakes, still dressed up in our shitty hot topic fishnets and thigh high plastic boots. Toward the end of the night, just before she gave us the check, our elderly waitress touched me on the shoulder and said "the cook back there thinks you're the most beautiful girl he's ever seen" and I looked over toward the kitchen door to see a terrified young man duck down from where he was peeking out of the round window. Not a day goes by that I don't think of that interaction.

Steve pulls away to hide his face in eddies neck freeing up his boyfriend to answer

"I know that by why are you two kissing? you're both guys" his tone arrogant like that simple statement explains everything

"Steve how could you not tell me you're a man?" Eddie gasps dramatically pulling away to place a hand over his heart and forcing Steve to address the situation instead of hiding

"eds not helping" he laughs " I don't know Henderson why do people usually kiss each other"

"that not, has your mom given you the sex talk yet I feel like you might need it after that statement. kissing isn't just for sex and that's actually a really shitty way of looking at it"

"okay kissing isn't just for sex and yes I've already gotten the sex talk, multiple times but that still doesn't explain why you were kissing"

Steve places a hand over eddies mouth as soon as the other man opens it "give him a second that big brain of his will catch up"

There was about a minutes pause before "ARE YOU DATING?"

I cannot wait for this Stan to reconnect with his Ford.

I still haven't figured out HOW exactly they'll meet yet, but I do think that Ford would ATTACH himself to Stanley and talk his ears off forever when they eventually get comfortable :] and Stanley would listen because HOLY SHIT, THAT'S HIS BRO HE HASN'T SEEN FOR 40-ISH YEARS, HE MISSED HIS VOICE. Stanley looks dead faced because of his ingrained poker face, but he's thouroughly enjoying it, even if sometimes he has no idea what the fuck Ford is saying. He never interrupts him though, since he knows people usually ignore or interrupt him mid-talk already. So sometimes Stan gets stuck in awkward situations where he has to leave or do stuff, but also doesn't have it in his heart to stop Ford and extract himself out of a (one-sided) conversation.

hey everyone - i know there’s a lot going on in the world right now, a lot of causes that need support and visibility now more than ever.

i’d like to take an opportunity to highlight a cause that’s very literally close to home for me: i live very, very close to springfield, ohio. the haitian community there has always needed help and support but now, with white supremacist rhetoric and bold faced lies being circulated nationally, with threats of violence and heightened ignorance being more common than ever, they need it perhaps more than they ever have.

there has been a lot of hate since trump and his little bootlicker attack dog jd vance have started this shit, but there’s also been an outpouring of love and community outreach in the weeks since springfield was thrust into the worst kind of spotlight.

the hatian community support and help center has been invaluable in helping hatian refugees get what they need to start a new life here. they are headed by a team of haitian immigrants that are personally familiar with what their fellow immigrants need. they have been instrumental in keeping their community from falling through the cracks.
