What happens when Steeb dips into Star Trek for a bit

So, I recently learned of a feature that’s built into at least the Galaxy and California class Federation starships: Cetacean Ops. Whole wings of a saucer section dedicated to housing a crew comprised of, staffed by, and commanded by whales and dolphins. With the advent of the universal communicator, it looks like Starfleet was able to draw upon our native sapient aquatic mammals to aid crews in 3D navigational arrays, xenolinguistics, and general different fields of thinking. 

This is all very cool and I wish it was explored a bit in Alpha canon, but it got me thinking of other sapient species Starfleet could’ve brought in with some accommodations. Namely, elephants. In present days they’re recognized as being extremely intelligent, and with the communicators analyzing subsonic communications, they’re probably a shoe in for this kind of work, especially since they have a prehensile appendage and don’t need millions of gallons of water to stay healthy. This is all assuming they didn’t die out between the current day and WWIII, and the Eugenics Wars, and the Romulan Wars, and the Klingon war... look, let me dream here.

This isn’t to say they wouldn’t need *some* special accommodations, namely halls big enough to accommodate their great size, floors that are forgiving to their sensitive feet, and probably replicators that are able to provide large amounts of food elephants would need per meal. This made me think of perhaps a Starfleet vessel staffed almost entirely by pachyderms, designed specifically with them in mind... the USS Ganesh or the USS Hathi, specialized ships for diplomatic missions for new lives and new civilizations that may not gel as well with humanoids or relatively tiny species, or even those with forested terrain not easily traversed by humanoids or their vehicles.

I will also admit... I also imagined a limited contribution towards the Dominion War. Jem’hadar expecting humans, Andorians, Vulcans, maybe even Klingons, then suddenly facing a full phalanx of custom phaser-armed Captain Loxodonta and her security team, tearing through the surrounding jungle and fortifications alike as shock troops even the Dominion might fear.

And now I really wanna write mini-fics about this elephant crew and other Terran nonhuman animal crews. Maybe crows/ravens as well? Bonobos?

honestly, probably not. i dont want to get involved in ship wars and i like my content surrounding around character x reader

will you write polyamorous x reader?

of course! this would be the only exception to my no ship rule if the request specifically asks for all characters to be dating one another and not just the reader

are there any kinks that are off limits?

scat, explicitly noncon, and emetophilia. those are my only hard no's as of making this faq.

no, and i won't, mostly because we play the game as them so most of my genshin fics will hint or outright state that the reader is the traveler, albeit with your own physical appearance.

unless specifically requested otherwise (ie adeptus!reader, archon!reader, favionius knight!reader, etc) the reader in my genshin fics is the traveler. another reason is because we don't know much about the traveler's personality given however we play them dictates that.

will you ever write f!reader?

truthfully, id prefer not to. i know how difficult it can be to find gender neutral content, let alone m!reader. if you request f!reader and there isn't anything specific that would require me to explicitly write the reader as female, im gonna write it as gender neutral.

there would be a few exceptions i suppose, but they'd have to be pretty specific. even comforting headcanons regarding a reader with a period i would make gender neutral, because not all people who menstruate are women.

I’d also like to announce that @thephantomporg84 is now masquerading as @derelict-stranger, and I got a few messages a few days ago about how she was gonna take down her account, and how she wants me to block all of you, which is ridiculous as you are all blogs that I have known and followed way before her and also I don’t know you either. I told her that I didn’t want to be involved in her drama, but here I am. 

It’s kinda hard for me to make this post, as I genuinely thought that she was cool in the beginning - she helped to give me more DMC asks in my inbox, and she always reblogged my stuff, as I’ve been trying to make it with the big guys - like @myfairmidnightladyspade.

But I saw the stuff that she says online to you all, and I think I got some anon messages from her asking if I was a terf or not... and yeah - my heart broke. I feel like I have been deceived in some way. What I wanted to be there was someone who was cool, and funny to talk to, but turns out that person is petty, heartless, immature and straight up spiteful.

I may have to justify myself in why I got messages from her - I was only trying to console her, but to do it in a neutral way as I wanted no part in her drama.

From where I’m looking, all of this started because you don’t like Vergil from the Devil May Cry games and you don’t like the plot of 5, which seems extremely stupid to me, as he’s only a small-ish part of 1, one of the best boss-fights in 3 and just a mere mention in 4. The fact that you need to incessantly attack content creators who merely like him is stupid. Either keep those opinions to yourself, ignore them, or do my favourite -> stick ‘em up your big stupid ass.

It’s also stupid that when people merely like him - you have to bring in your own shitty opinions. No one asked you what you thought, and I’m pretty sure you’re actively seeking out fights with people just to feel good about yourself. It’s also super hypocritical of you ragging on about how much Vergil sucks, when you go crazy for Kylo Ren, as they share some similarities in terms of their vibes and traits. (Yeah - I see you asking for smutty Kylo Ren x Reader requests online.....) Why do you get pissy when people like villainous fictional characters - do your knickers

What I just want to know is what kind of personal gratification you get when you actively hate on a character, and what kind of gratification you get when just because someone disagrees with you - that you have to result using death threats, rape threats, pedophilia threats, racism, slurs, and ableism,  transphobia, alt-right rhetoric, neo-Nazi shit, pro-Trump, and homophobic comments to content creators just doin’ their own thing. Is it just to feel like the bigger man, is it to make yourself sound smarter than the other person (Cause you don’t) - like what actually motivates you, what actually makes you want to shit on other people’s parades, huh? Sounds to me like you need to get a life.

The fact that you always need to play the victim is sad and pathetic too:

- That you’re on the spectrum: - Okay, there are a lot of people who are on the spectrum here on tumblr. But they don’t use it as an excuse to justify shitty behaviour especially if it’s unitentional. as I’m sure they and the people they know are. - That you use depression as an excuse - I’m kinda sympathetic to the whole mental health issues thing. I have them too. In fact, I am a hot mess. But I don’t use that to excuse me hurting other people with intention, and I’m sure many others don’t either. At least 1/4 or 1/3 will have some mental health issues in their life, and yeah, it sucks, and it’s common but it doesn’t make them exempt from them being called out on their shitty acts. the fact that so many people are and can be mentally ill doesn’t make you special, and it doesn’t give you a free pass to attack others.

- The fact that you try to bait people into making anti-semitic comments, so you can call them anti-semitic. Dude, that’s low. I’m pretty sure that’s gaslighting and manipulation as well. You don’t get the right to use your religion/race in that way as a defence when you’re feeling attacked so that you come off a better person. I’m friends with many jewish people, and they’d never have the gall to do that. I know that your peeople have had it rough, but you can’t use that in an argument just to prove that the other one is a piece of shit, when it is in fact you. I’m muslim, a WOC, and ancestrally speaking, from a country that your so-beloved president essentially banned their right to seek a better life in the states. if i were to make a BSD fanfic-writer centric server, right. and it’d be a server where all confirmed members could have their own channel (if they wanted) to talk about their fics and share their work/excerpts/etc. and there’d be specific ping roles for specific content like ships/characters/genres, as well as specific user’s (within the server) content. and it was mainly focused on encouraging each other to create and giving feedback.

i am majorly inclined to believe that whenever a terf tries talking about how they’ve totally been harassed by just so many trans women/transfems/tras/etc, they are absolutely lying, or at the least, lying by omission, or deliberately misleading people by convincing them that something that was never present in the interaction totally was because um uh they said so, especially when they claim these interactions happened online and yet mysteriously offer absolutely NO viable proof of any kind of said interactions.

and this has nothing to do with like, not believing victims of abuse and such. i myself am a victim of horrific abuse, after all, a good bit of it being sexual in nature, and most of that abuse happening when i was a child (both before and after i came out as trans, btw, my csa had nothing to do with my trans identity bc the feelings i had prior to coming out AND EVEN prior to the csa have remained the same at their core, AKA “im really not a girl at all honestly”). i am even a victim of abuse at the hands of other trans people, only i have the critical thinking skills to realize they didn’t abuse me because they were trans, they abused me because at their core, they were cruel and abusive people with shit personalities, and that’s why they abused me, and also i have this cool thing called a brain which i use frequently enough to not decide to hate an entire diverse group of human beings because some of them hurt me (and i’ve been abused by both transmasc/trans men and transfem/trans women, actually more trans men/transmascs than trans women/transfems, but yknow, that really doesn’t matter, i’m just pointing out why the terf talking points are not gonna work on me lmao). notably, however, most of the major abusers in my life excluding my stepdad have actually been cis women/cis girls, and i see way more similarities between my abusers and terfs than i ever have between trans people of any alignment and my abusers.

the reason why i largely cannot take terfs at their word when they claim they’ve faced harassment by tras/trans women/transfems/trans folk, is simply because: the core of their group and their movement is complete and violent hatred against amab trans folk, and then hatred and violence towards afab trans folk usually in the form of attempted conversion therapy which is by definition literally always non-consensual in some way shape or form and also by definition includes abuse because you can’t do conversion therapy without abusing someone somehow. how the fuck do you expect me to believe someone who ALREADY hates us, who intentionally reads everything we do in bad faith, when they try to tell me that this harassment totally happened?

look at me in my eyes, do you think i am that gullible? do you think i am so naive as to do that? me? a fat disabled neurodivergent mentally ill black gay non-binary trans man living in the south, who has been subject to the testimonies and attacks from various hate groups for various reasons and knows how they operate? do you think i do not learn from my lived experiences what these people do? would you believe a known, loud and proud n/zi if they told you they were totally beat up by just, so many 100% real-not-fake-strawmen jewish people behind the local dennys for no reason at all? would you do that? i hope to whatever god, goddess, or deities you worship that you would not. because i HOPE you can see why that might not be a good idea. it is for the same reason i do this with terfs.

i came to this conclusion after many interactions with terfs against my will, as well as being subject to their posts about supposed “violence” they encountered which, when i did some investigating (when i was able to, or when i was mentally well enough to do so because simply seeing their bios is enough to exhaust me and make me almost physically ill), turned out to be complete and utter bullshit, and what was usually going on was either:

they were claiming that a post someone, trans or otherwise, made about hating/wishing violence on terfs specifically bc terfs are disgusting, was ACTUALLY based on the fact that they were a woman somehow and not because they were a terf, which is the REAL problem, but bc terfs love to pretend to be victims, they insidiously twist words bc they KNOW ppl who are reading stuff online usually don’t go and do deeper research and just accept it at face value, and then are like “omg i can’t believe this violent TRA hates women it’s because i’m a poor widdle uterus-vagina-having woman and totally not because i believe trans women/transfems should all be violently murdered and trans men/transmascs are just poor lost lesbians/gnc women who need literal conversion therapy to convince them they are women! it’s only because im a FEMALE”

they took a post or statement which was not aimed at anyone in particular and are now telling people (whether it be reporters writing these stupid shitty news articles, or via their own platforms like “educational” youtube videos n such) that it was totally directed towards them in particular when in reality it was not

they took a post which was sarcastic and/or meant to be a joke, sometimes even clearly stated to be a joke in its source, and deliberately and in bad faith told others that it was serious, interpreted it as such KNOWING it to be false, and then used it as an example as to why those “horrible violent tras” totally hate real women or whatever, and the rest of the bozos reading it went “omg so true!” because they don’t possess enough critical thinking skills to read something inane and realize “this is probably a joke or something”

they fell for a troll, like, the trolliest of most obvious trolls, because they hate trans people SO MUCH they’re willing to take ANYTHING they can use as a weapon against us and use it, and that and that alone should honestly prove to you why they are untrustworthy

like sorry not sorry. terfs are literally unable to see interactions with trans people as anything other than “violence” against them because that’s how fucking much they hate us. so why in the name of bast would you expect me to believe them at face value just ‘cause some trans people do bad shit? like i already know some trans people are garbage. but 99.9% of the time, that is simply because they suck AS PEOPLE and has zip doodle squat to do with their identity.

i am not a fool. terfs see trans people the same way white supremacists see black and brown folk like myself, the same way eugenicists see disabled/mentally ill/neurodivergent/fat people like myself, the same way n/zis see anyone who isn’t Well You Know like myself, the same way every hate group ever sees anyone who isn’t like them like myself. they’re all wearing the same brand of glasses, it’s just some of ‘em have different tints on the lense, and some people are even wearing more than one at the same time lmao. y’all are transparent as fuck and are terrified of more people seeing right through you just like i do.

keep crying about how TRAs totally definitely harassed and/or abused you cause youre a woman and not cause youre a nasty terf. sure. and when you’re done with that, i have some lovely beachfront property in idaho i’d like to sell you :)

so. this isnt an announcement i ever wanted to make and not something i wanted ppl to know but its gotten to the point where not saying it is only going to end up worse than saying it so! here we go. note, this has nothing to do with anyone aside from myself. its 100% my problem and my decision and nobody here or anywhere else is at fault.

to make an extremely long story short, i literally cannot physically survive in my current home anymore. period. and right now, there is nothing i can do to even *start* working to improve that. i need time away from the home to heal and like, *actually* work on fixing myself, getting help, etc. but the problem with that is i have no money. as well as no reliable source of income. so. one of two things is happening.

im giving myself a deadline. two weeks from today (nov 22), i either manage to get enough money to at least temporarily live somewhere else via donations, OR, i go put myself into inpatient somewhere. the bottom line is i cant keep living where i am, physically. its not an abuse situation dw, it's just. the actual physical conditions are unliveable for me. and i dont have anywhere else to go anymore.

if you can, you can donate to me. if you can't, don't worry about it, but please do at least consider spreading my social media posts im making about it (i'll link them under this when theyre up). i dont really know how to put into words how very serious this is but trust me when i say that it is. nobody *has* to do anything for me, ofc, nobody's obligated. but as my friends, family, n people i care about in general, i think you deserve to know that my limit has officially been reached.

pretty much never, i guess. i had crushes on girls since kindergarten, then in 2nd grade i was told girls could only like boys, so i tried my best to be straight even though in my heart i knew i wasn’t. since i couldn’t make myself like boys, i kinda just ignored the idea of liking anyone at all until middle school, when i found out what the word “lesbian” means online. of course, all the stuff i found about lesbians called us disgusting perverts, so i went through many phases of calling myself literally anything else but a lesbian. i’ve only started using the word lesbian specifically in the last few years, especially since i joined an amazing discord group. i love them so much, they’ve helped me feel so proud of being a lesbian <3

exist. 

jk lmao, i’m honestly not annoyed by straight people, but i like making jokes as if i am. it’s hard to annoy me in general, i’ve got a high tolerance for that type of stuff. if i have to answer, i hate it when strangers (usually straight men) pry into my sex life, but i’m not really annoyed by that as much as i am creeped out.

Mmmm I wouldn't say the concept of sexism is inherently transphobic so much as it's just sort an outdated term? It does (usually, when used by most cis people) imply that women only experience discrimination on the basis of their """biological sex""""" (genitals) but it is also applicable to trans women. Misogyny is used in its place a lot of the time now, and I think it's supposed to be a more inclusive term. The -gyny part is still cissexist though imo and use of the term misogyny can definitely be trans exclusive because cis people are nasty. Anyways. All women experience misogyny, trans women are women and they experience sexism in the same way that cis women do. I think I covered all the stuff I wanted to say about that but don't take my words without a grain of salt bc i am a dude and im sure there are some things I'm not right about. As for the feminism being a disease thing... honestly just dont come into my askbox saying stuff like that. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you just mean trans exclusive radical feminism. Feminism is as necessary now as it always has been, especially when it comes to making the world a safer place fir trans women.
