Was thinking about at the last convention how I was walking to the end of the (big ass) line down the side of the building and I was like. Gay fast walking like a model on a runway and eating walnuts. Some guy tried to stop me for a picture and I turned, stopped deadass, looked this man in the eyes, and said “catch me in the building! I’m eating nuts and concerned I won’t make it to the end of the line.” In spamton cosplay. In spamton g spamton cosplay. Turned and walked away, waved like a Disney Princess at the girls giggling at me, and then broke into a run-walk, while still eating walnuts. I asked myself the entire time I was on my line journey ‘were they making fun of me. Do I look bad. Am I stupid’ no that was just fucking funny and I just now realized 2 months later

Well as you can imagine, the David Jenkins IG is the big news of today. The clowning forecast has gone up significantly. Dad posted one of the late-blooming SaveOFMD banners in NY and attached Elton John - Candle In The Wind to the post. This song has some very specific significance to our fandom.

Alrighty lovelies. It's been another busy day. Lots of clowning, lots of hope, lots of emotional roller coasters. I hope you had a good time and generally it was more positive than negative. I have a lot I want to say, but my brain is still pretty foggy. So I'll make this short.

Sometimes when things go well, our brain gets excited and then they overcompensate when we calm down. It starts to think a lot more negatively because it had so much extra dopamine for a time. When that happens, little things can be really devastating. I just want you to remember that we all make mistakes and YOU, you beautiful imperfect being are not your mistakes. They hurt, and we learn from them, but they don't define us. Try not to listen to your brain if it's telling you otherwise. You are so very wonderful.

Anyway, I hope that makes sense.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everybody! I'll be honest, its been a crazy month. I thought I would have plenty of time to get my Halloween redraw done this year, but I had to really crunch at the end to get it done. The shading isn't really up to my usual standards, so probably when I have more time I'll go back and do a proper shading pass.

I had a lot of fun doing different group combinations than the previous years, mostly breaking up the couples and letting them do friend or parent child costumes instead. And I finally got to do what I wanted to do last year, add in Zoey, Levin, and Malachi! They're arguably more important characters than Cadenza, hence why she got the axe this year (I still love her but she's not exactly plot central and I also had no ideas for her costume). So without further ado, here's my 2023 redraw!

Country is back in. It has been for a while. Everyone wants to be a cowboy these days. The undercurrents of americana that pervade popular music have never gone away, but many artists over the past few years have been pushing their over the top characterizations of cowboys and countryscapes back into the mainstream by fusing the genre with electronic based pop and rap. Lil Nas X, Oliver Tree, hell, even Beyoncé has seen the potential in this fusion. In a way, it almost feels a little bit late for singer-songwriter and emo-rap-metalcore extraordinaire Joe Mulherin to be hopping on the trend, but I'm not sure if anyone has so unabashedly mixed alt-country and emo pop like this before.

Hell or Highwater is the newest entry in the series of Joe Mulherin doing whatever the fuck he wants since leaving Fueled by Ramen and regaining ownership of his career. He already dropped a full length record of emo rap bangers earlier this year, and now, almost as if to flex his new found creative freedom, he's switching things up with nine sad, manure scented acoustic tracks. "John Wayne (I Wanna Be A Cowboy)" kicks things off with a reminder that Mulherin is, in fact, a millennial, and his perspective as a 30 something year old struggling with motivation and trapped in cycles of late night doom-scrolling definitely shines through in the lyrics. Somber strums of the guitar accompany him as he sings "I wanna be a cowboy, but I sleep too late. I stayed up all night watching Walmart fights on my phone". At face value, it's a bit cheesy, but the message of desperately wanting more for yourself yet having too much executive dysfunction to take those steps is honest and easily relatable for the modern age. Don't worry though, not every song is so on the nose with it's tiktok generation pandering. Fourth track and one of the biggest album highlights, "In The Country", hits us with the beautiful cry of the harmonica and a much less obvious approach to discussing depression and the yearning to escape to a quieter, simpler life.

I'd be remiss not to mention that there is still a small hip hop influence on this album. "Hydrangeas", "Cliché Lovers", and "Honey" all feature some 808s and trap hi hats, but Mulherin's sad cowboy persona still remains at the core of these songs, and these elements blend so seamlessly into the rest of the album that they hardly feel out of place, especially if you are already familiar with the previous work of nothing,nowhere. These songs bring a sort of mixtape feel to the album, and while they aren't the star of the show for me, they act as nice segues between the more countryfied moments. Things really get kicked up a notch near the end of the record with bombastic choruses in a slacker visage like early Dashboard Confessional meets Rocket-era Alex G. Closing track "New England" ends things off on a particularly high note, starting with the lone riffing of an electric banjo before drums, acoustic guitars and blues slides all drop into place. Mulherin throws a slight twang on his voice as he recites some of his most muddy truck lovin' lyrics to date, "Well, I know that backroads and dirty clothes just ain't for everyone. So, you take the city lights and skyline, give me a setting sun". It's probably the most cowboy cosplay moment on the whole album, but in the midst of the trees and cornfields still lies an explosive, tearjerking chorus of lost love that could make me weep. Mulherin has always had a knack for hooks and catchy choruses, and this song further exemplifies the fact that he could easily make a career in writing chart topping hits if he wanted to.

I'll admit, I wasn't expecting to fall in love with this album. My personal relationship with country music has gone from ironically blasting "Fix A Drink" by Chris Jansen for shits and giggles, to eagerly watching Lucinda Williams live with clasped hands and open ears, but when the emo kid next door suddenly shows up on your front lawn with a cowboy hat, acoustic guitar in hand, and face painted like a clown, I think anyone would be a little skeptical. But whether it's rap, metalcore, or alt country, Mulherin never fails to write a memorable, heart clutching song. Hell or Highwater is just further proof that his song writing talent transcends borders, and—outside of the constraints of major labels—he truly can do whatever the fuck he wants.

WHAT IS GRUESOME GRRL?

Gruesome grrl is a queering and evolution of Riotgrrrl. Gruesome grrl is for the femmes that aren't usually accepted in femme spaces. This is for the femmes that due to their transness, their brashness, and their inability to compromise, exist on the edges of what 'woman' means. Some reject womanhood outright for an alternative nonbinary trans masculinity. Some see femininity as the absolute trap that it is. These are women who reject conventional femininity for something more butch, more futch and above all else transfeminine. I don't want this to be a binary punk movement. I want this to be something for the nasty nonbinary punks that have had femininity define their identity in some powerful and violent ways. This is for nasty gruesome grrls who have had their femininity denied. For the mascs and femmes who deny feminitiy outright for their own sanity. This isn't a movement just for cis women and they/thems, and womxn. this is a movement for transfems, transmasc, nonbinary freaks, trans androgynous art hoes, messy drag queens, sexy hermaphrodites, hard kink trans sex workers, the absolute nastiest femmes and mascs and enbies with shitty attitudes. This is something for the types of weirdos that are never platformed in cis lesbian spaces let alone trans lesbian spaces. Granted I'm just some angry trans sissy dyke with a chip on her shoulder known for starting shit, and pissing and whining with the best of them. But I want to make something, a movement with actual teeth.

Tiktok Headcannons for the gang! Because i use that platform way too much

Hosea's tiktok is one of those old people's tiktoks who always duet people and gives honest, good advice. He's always responding to people, and likes comments about being people's dad or grandparent :) he also does lives (livestreams) of him doing crosswords every Sunday. Like a mix of elijahstroman7 and annrussell03.

Dutch's tiktok is one third failed intentional thirst traps, one third dueting women he likes with his unblinking face as the video, and one third political and philosophical rants.

Lenny's account is full of well-made videos about technology, news/politics, and literature/"booktok". His editing is top-notch and he has a large following! Lenny's followers love his sense of fashion, calling him a fashion Icon - some even draw fanart of him! He is verified, much to the annoyance of Sean. He has a side account just for his cat.

Mary-Beth's account is fandom anthropology (think, academia on fandom and fanfic but presented in layman's terms), fanfic culture, and cosplay.

Tilly has an aesthetic account. It's like a hidden gem; it's not popular or verified, but everyone who comes across it loves it. She posts various aesthetics, and takes requests! Her most popular tiktok is about yellow aesthetic. She also rarely posts tiktoks with her face in it, but they do well and the comments are nice :)

Karen is a fashion and make-up account. People love her creative looks and her outfit choices. She likes to do lives (livestreams) where she drinks, chats with the audience, and does her make-up.

Javier's tiktok is just him posting songs and song covers - his is the most popular out of the whole gang! Javier is verified, and has a merch store and a Spotify.

Sean has a combined shitpost/weirdtok/commentary account. He dances sometimes, too. His account is very eclectic, but has a small but dedicated following. Has been on tiktok the longest, but has the least followers and is not verified. Has a secret spam account that is much more popular about vlogging with his friends and the gang!

Abigail has a mom account, and posts crock-pot recipes. She's doing her best. Occasionally she posts a "lol my partner is incompetent 🤣" "funny" video and those get really popular.

John's account is all about animals he met on the street and weird situations he finds himself witnessing (e.g. a car riding on train tracks). He posts a lot about Cain, then Rufus. Dog person.

Arthur's account is very country? He talks about his horse a lot, and dances to country tunes. He has a series where he annoys members of the gang. Nothing he posts is something he hated doing; Arthur loves creating content!

Charles unintentionally makes thirst traps with his content of survival/bushcraft, cooking, and indigenous issues and culture. He's got a lot of thirsty followers, but a lot of genuine ones too. His cooking videos are very ASMR, and sometimes they spawn video chains of musicians jamming out to it.

Sadie is deep into political tiktok. She's avid about gun rights and is a feminist. She also shows herself working out a lot, and a large number of her followers are wlw.

Kieran's tiktok is about all the pets he has, whom he loves to bits. He's been asked for a face reveal, but he's too shy. There is a conspiracy that he's secretly The Rock.

Pearson has a tiktok cooking account, but its only about Barbecuing. He once tried to make a dish with vegetables, but users mass reported it for disturbing content and it got taken down.

Grimshaw has an account, but doesn't post. She just downloads everything she likes to watch later (she doesn't). One of her favorite accounts is a lady who talks about etiquette while cleaning silver.

Swanson has a tiktok, but its only about religion. He is nice and welcoming and great and courteous to everyone who asks! He loves talking about Exodus, Psalms, Job, Ezekiel, Acts, John, Philippians, Hebrews, and 1 Peter.

Strauss is big into business and is pro-capitalism, and flogs cryptocurrency and NFTs through tiktok. He also posts about the successful secrets of billionaires and the stock market. Blocks all those who disagree with his takes, and 9 times out of 10 doesn't allow comments on his videos. He got most of his followers during the GME craze. Is hurting quite a bit now that the NFT market has collapsed and crypto is on the downturn.

Molly doesn't have a tiktok - she thinks it's a terrible platform and beneath her. Prefers Instagram reels.

Bill doesn't understand tiktok well, so he doesn't post. But he is an avid commenter, often getting pinned or featured in "weird tiktok comments" compilations.

Micah keeps getting banned from tiktok. He doesn't understand how, but he does. Maybe it's all the gun videos he posts, or getting reported for his constant hate speech? Who knows!

Top 5 Favorite Depictions of Master Chief

It seems odd that I made this a list since there aren't very many takes John that exist; at least not in the same way various takes on Batman exist. But here we go.

1.) Paramount's Master Chief portrayed by Pablo Schreiber. - People tend to forget that Master Chief's characterization is very minimal, so one can more or less expand on the character in any way they'd like and it wouldn't necessarily be out of character so long as they adhere to his core traits: He's a cool badass who shoots aleins and doesn't afraid of anything. While I do appreciate that season 2 made John a more reserved, almost big brotherly, if kinda strict, guy who just wants to help humanity and everyone is just getting in his way (moreso like the games); season 1 John was more interesting to me because he was more emotive, expressive and open as a person (not THAT open, he still had his own secrets). For me, the departure from the source-material is exactly WHY I love the show and this take on my favorite video-game character. In fact, Show!John (particularly 'season 1 John') is my main influence on my own take on the character in my AU. Besides, let's be a bit honest with ourselves here, Game!John would make a terrible TV protagonist. (I also really like the 'Chosen One' stuff with the Forerunner relics, it gives John a greater sense of importance in the grander story and it makes his connections to the Halo stronger; it's yet another element I took for my version of Chief).

2.) Nylund's Chief. - Halo: The Fall Of Reach and Halo: First Strike are among the first books published during the franchise's infancy. Eric Nylund's take on the character is basically just Game!John, but fleshed out enough for me to want to care about him in a context that's not in a video-game. He's a driven and ambitious übermensch (in the "transcends basic human limitations" variety) who is at his happiest when given an order and will do anything to win, but cares deeply for his fellow Spartans and the men and women under his command; I also like the added detail of him being a former schoolyard-bully who matured and learned to be LESS of a douchebag. Nylund's take on John allows me to look at Game!John and think: "Yeah, I can understand why he's like this!"

3.) Halo 4/5 Chief. - This is the most vulnerable we've ever seen John in any context and it was 343's first real attempt that cracking open Chief's shell to see the man underneath. Emotional-vulnerability aside, I really like how proactive Chief is in these two games; he's more involved in the plot and actually makes strategic plans throughout the course of both games (well, if not 5, at least 4). It puts emphasis on John's leadership skills and makes him more active in the stories he's in; not to knock against Bungie, but their Chief struck me more as a follower than a leader, and while Bungie!Chief gave his own advice from time-to-time, he didn't feel as involved as he should've been even if it was Bungie's intention to make him a slient-protagonist.

4.) Legends Chief. - I like that this is one of the few times, up until Halo 5, where we see John interacting with his fellow Spartans. With Spartan-1337 and Daisy-023 as characters, we get to see two sides of John: His deadpan straight-man aspect and his softer side. If you've seen Halo Legends, you'll probably know where I'm getting at. In "The Package," we also see John's strong coordination with Blue-Team and the others, and I really like that.

5.) Forward Unto Dawn Chief. - Sort of the least interesting version of Master Chief on this list. I only really put him on here because he's a surprisingly really good attempt at translating Game!John into a live-action setting, but there's a reason why we see this Chief for a short period of time: This would get boring after a while.

GLASSES 👓

Tomorrow, I have my first eye examination since 2019. The last time I went, I got prescribed the lowest possible grade for glasses, and so far, it hasn't changed much.

My eyes are very good up close, but distance can give me issues depending on if I'm tired or my medications decide to hit me harder than usual.

Anyway, I've been looking at frames ahead of time. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS, RIGHT FELLAS?!

Before Spamton: Friend: "You need to wear glasses to help with eye strain." Me: "NO." After Spamton: Friend: "You need to wear glasses to help with eye strain." Me: ༶ඬ༝ඬ༶ "F-Fine."

Jokes aside, I can't seem to find frames with this look that aren't just a "joke," cosplay accessory, or novelty without prescription options. Why is it so hard to find TRUE AND HONEST round frames? Here are the closest I can find that don't have the "fake" circular (aka not a true circle) or those stupid "horns."

Opinion: PRICEY WTF. But kind of neat how small they are? Looks super vintage.

Opinion: I like the thin frame, but it doesn't have any preview option.

Opinion: A little flashier than I would want but kind of neat, too. Don't be fooled by the price: it skyrockets once you add prescription options. xD

Opinion: Lightweight and stylish. Pricey, however.

Opinion: Simple and classy with nearly invisible lenses, but maybe TOO simple? I checked the photos, and they are subtle, but are they fitting for a madman like me?! HMM

Despite his usual company, Mikey wasn't really a party guy. He much preferred to hang in someone's basement or living room and smoke instead of going to a rager with every other teen in Kildare.

But he was at a rager regardless, because he was trying to get back into his friend's good graces.

That didn't mean he was having fun, however.

It was too loud, and everyone was too much, too drunk to care about the people around them. Nova and Kie had some poor schmuck between them as they argued about something mundane and definitely not worth arguing over. The guy looked ready to off himself, which as someone who had been present for a few Nova vs Kie arguments, Mikey knew it probably wasn't an overreaction. John B was nursing a beer, smiling to himself, lost in thought. Mikey's heart still skipped at the sight of him and he forced his gaze away. Pope was talking to some guy with a buzzcut, gesturing wildly with his hands, completely unaware of the fact that the guy was ready to eat him whole.

And JJ was nowhere to be seen, which was never a good sign.

Sighing and getting to his feet, Mikey knew he would have to be the one to find him. If he didn't, who knows what could happen?

He stood there for a moment, trying to think of the most likely places for a wild JJ Maybank to be.

His first thought – at the keg – was a bust, as he glanced over and didn't see anyone except Mindy Parker who he'd made out with once at the end of freshman year and really didn't want a repeat of.

Sighing again, he knew what he had to do.

"Yo, JB!" He called, walking over to him. John B looked up, mid swig, and greeted him with a raised eyebrow. "You seen JJ?"

John B set down his beer, eyebrows furrowed and lips pursed as he thought. "No, not since we came in. But he's JJ, he's probably, like, hooking up with some girl somewhere. He'll show up."

Mikey wrinkled his nose. He wished he could have that same faith in JJ that he had. It wasn't that he didn't trust JJ, he just.. He was a loose cannon and anything could happen when he was unaccounted for. Honestly, even when he was accounted for.

"'M gonna go try and find him," he said, tapping John B on the shoulder. As he turned, John B grabbed his wrist, holding him in place. It was a gentle hold, nothing like the hands he'd had wrapped around him as of late.

He turned back to face him, and John B let go, sending him an easy smile. "You good, Mike?"

Mikey tried to match his easy affection. "Yeah. 'M good."

"Good." John B smiled again. "Let me know if you find him, and if you need to hide a body or something."

Mikey laughed, sending him a nod.

He turned again, walking away for real this time. If John B was right and JJ was hooking up with someone, they would probably have snuck off to be alone. There was a smattering of trees around them, cosplaying as the woods, which is probably where he would go if he was hooking up with someone.

With a burst of determination, he marched into the trees.

He found three separate couples in various stages of hooking up before he heard JJ's familiar voice.

"Has anyone told you that you're beautiful?"

And, wow, that wasn't something Mikey thought he'd ever hear from JJ? JJ who called girls "chicks" and bragged about banging them – Though Mikey had never actually seen any proof of this, if he was being honest – wasn't the kind of guy who called girls beautiful.

"You're so.. greasy."

And that's probably because he wasn't talking to a girl.

He saw the back of JJ's head, squinting into the incoming darkness, and sure enough, there he was. Church Boy, wrapped in JJ's arms. He was giggling as JJ kissed him, obviously lovestruck. It was cute. Or he was cute, Mikey didn't really feel the same affection for JJ.

JJ's mouth traveled down his jaw to his neck and Edgar's entire body loosened, his eyes fluttering closed.

Mikey felt a splash of panic, like water to the face. He wasn't about to be the weirdo who watched his friends make out. That was crossing a huge line.

He stepped back, turning to leave, crushing a stick under his heel. Fuck.

Edgar's eyes flew open, and JJ jumped away from him.

"Uh, hey guys?"

Without so much as another word, JJ booked it out of the trees, leaving Mikey and Edgar in silence.

"Oh, no," Edgar said, frowning.

Mikey's body locked up as he floundered for something to say. "I.. I am so sorry. I didn't mean to, like, ruin your moment. I was just looking for JJ and, uh, I found him! And– Oh my God, I'm sorry, dude."

Edgar ran a hand through his hair (which, regrettably, made Mikey's panicked brain go HotHotHot) and picked up JJ's phone from the ground. "We should head back."

Mikey didn't argue, following him back to the party, praying the ground would eat him the entire time.

He somehow managed to make the party even worse for himself, which was sort of impressive.

Now he had to deal with people and their drunkenness and John B existing in his vicinity and feeling like shit because Edgar and JJ were staying fifty feet away from each other.

He was having a rough night.

Edgar walked over to him, holding an unopened can of soda and JJ's stuff. "Can you, uh, give these to him? He's probably gonna be skittish for the rest of the night."

Mikey bit the inside of his cheek, but nodded, accepting JJ's things. "Yeah." Dropping the phone into his pocket with his own, he said, "I'm sorry, by the way. Like genuinely. I know.. I know that it's hard to get those moments alone and I didn't mean to take one from you."

Edgar shrugged. "Es aqua pasada," He waved him off, "Water under the bridge."

It didn't feel like it, but Mikey wasn't about to argue with him. "Well, you know, your secret is safe with me."

Edgar smiled, bumping their shoulders together. "Thanks."

Mikey nodded, nudging him back. "No problem, man."

"Mikey!" John B shouted, walking up to them with JJ under his arm. "Look who I found!"

His mischief is always harmless, and has nothing but good intentions and hopes for everybody. Overall, he is just a ray of sunshine that I(And arguably everyone else) need in my life in every way... EVERY WAY-

Dave: Makes me laugh so much, love his creativity with every inane sentence. Love that he tries to hide behind a cool kid mask. Buddy, I can see right through that shit to the sensitive, caring, troubled bro you are inside. And those shades are impeccable.

Karkat: Just a screamy lil guy, look at him go. Wait, that's the wrong guy-

Honestly, you know those people that you just look at and smile fondly while shaking your head, just because of how passionately themselves they are, no mather how ridiculous? In truth, I envy him in that way. People like that just fill me with giddiness and amazement. Knights are known for their ability to put up a front, but it doesn't fool me one bit. Anger = Passion, Passion = Caring, Caring = Love(In this instance at least). Karkat strives for what most of us also want; for out lives to be stable, and our friends to be happy and stable too. What's not to love about that?

Kanaya: LESBIAN BADASS ALIEN GIRL GO BRRRRRRRR(Literally... because of her chainsaw... hehe). She is basically the poster child for Virgo, how could I not? Her ancestor's design is just 👌💖. 10/10 nightlight. In all seriousness, Kanaya is just so loveable. She protects her friends, but knows when someone has gone too far and will be perfectly honest with them... or go Texas Chainsaw Massacre mode and fuck their shit up HARD. Very rational, but in some ways it only adds to her caringness and emotional depth. Mother friends are the best 😊.

Aranea: Haven't learned enough about her personality yet, but I like the nice Vriska. She is mostly just considered a likely favorite for now. But I can already tell that she will be very pleasant(Which is kind of a rarity). I already relate to her alot. We both ramble about ourselves and things we are passionate about, I definitely want to dress like her(Cosplay idea, maybe?), and we are both friends with an occasionally abrasive girl whome we are very close with.

Calliope: What can I say, I relate. She deserved better, Hussie >:(. She is just so sweet... like candy... *Hint hint*. For real, she cares so much about a happy ending for everyone, she deserved way better than to be killed off. Plus, being adorably british doesn't help.

Lil Hal: SHAAAAADES. Started as an ironic joke in my brain that his robot design was cute... then it became very not ironic. Also, voice acting is cool. I am a sucker for robots/AI characters, I just think they are so fascinating... *Looks at the entire Portal series while holding a knife to Valve's throat because I NEED MORE-*

Conclusion: Just make me laugh and/or be cutely nerdy, and you will win my heart.

Finally drew the Guardians for the first time! But this, it has something to do with anything other than my style.

Honest John from Disney's Pinocchio : Juju Creative Cosplay

 I watched Pinocchio for the first time in 15 years back in 2018. I had forgotten how funny some characters were. Honest John and Gideon caught my eye. They were very entertaining and I'm sad Disney didn't do more with them! As a result-- not only did it inspire me to make my Honest John cosplay, but I was inspired to create my own script about the backstory of these two characters. 

I write scripts I hope to one day present to Disney with my manager and agent and this one is called "Foulfellow and company". I have also created a lot of fun original characters and I intend to cosplay one from the story in the future!

I get so many great responses at cons! Sometimes people stand in shock when they see me because its not a character people typically cosplay. It is also a character that appeals to all generations old and young.

I have 2 notable interactions that were very fun:

1. A man in his mid 50s started singing "Hi diddle dee dee" behind me.... I don’t think he expected me to burst out into song, but when i did we went skipping down the hall singing the song and people recorded us and applauded. It was a lot of fun!

2. A small boy came up to me and asked to take a photo. After the photo, I gave him an ace of spades card and told him it was his "ticket to pleasure island". He handed it back to me saying "I'm a good boy who goes to school, but you can send my little brother to pleasure island if you want!"

I couldn’t contain my laughter. The child was about 8 and it was so funny I high five him and gave him a big hug. His parents were so happy. Overall. I believe I get the best interactions with this character because he is very rare. Whenever I cosplay him, i go all out with my impressions and mannerisms. So much so, my boyfriend tells me that I intimidate people! But it's all in good fun

I had never worked with fur before this point so learning how to sew with fur was a bit of a challenge. The costume itself was pretty simple in my opinion (I have been sewing for years). I made the entire thing from scratch. My favorite prop is probably the top hat he has which I made from foam. Sometimes I put Jimmy Cricket on top of the hat like in the scene where Honest John sings "hi diddle dee dee". The cloak I made for him is fun to wear and there is a little space in between where the tail fits perfectly. To make the tail, I had to use wiring and foam to give it the shape I wanted but overall I was satisfied with how the cosplay turned out!

The quote I associate most with cosplay is "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself" You have so much room to be creative with cosplays. A lot of people don't know how to sew and prefer their own cosplays which is completely awesome and valid, but I like to have the freedom for creativity in cosplay which is why I make my own. I like being able to design costumes from scratch and then show off the outcome! I've learned a lot of patience in cosplay. If you want something to look the way you want, it's not a good idea to rush it! Take your time and make it yours!

Cosplay is for everyone! It doesn’t matter who you are, what your race is, your your gender, your ethnic background etc... if you love a character and you're scared to cosplay them because you don’t "look" like them.... DO IT ANYWAY. The one rule I have is do not alter your skin if you are white/white passing and you wish to cosplay a character of a different race. Do your research and be respectful. I have cosplayed out of my race for characters without the need to alter my skin, and I do this simply because I love the characters! Never be afraid to express your love for a character regardless of who they are. And of course, make it yours and own it! As long as you are respectful, do your research and do not appropriate any culture, your options are limitless
