The most special part about feeding the homeless isn't necessarily the part of actually feeding them, for me, it's when I cook for them. The intention behind the meal. The love put into shopping for it and then making it. When you are preparing a dish it's a love offering of sorts. I am preparing a love offering to someone. That's the most genuine gift you can give someone is the offering of love through food and your time. So for me my proudest moments is not always when I'm in the streets serving the people it's when I'm in the kitchen cooking. This is some of the food that the people will receive this evening. In addition to the eggs and salad, we're also serving fresh strawberries, sandwiches, juice, chips and cookies.
