i have an old warriors au where the "there will be three" prophecy was given to tigerstar instead of firestar and it was about tawnypelts kits (flametail dawnpelt and tigerheart). (it was stupidly complicated and more complex then this but whatver). anyway the important part was that holly was a medicine cat and kind of a shunned freak (a la goosefeather) who received divine visions and predicted the eclipse and her name was hollymoon. yay <3

Moonleaf is good but also i think Hollymoon is such a pretty name! I could also see Half Moon/Hollyleaf AU where she stays as the med cat, getting "dreams from StarClan" about how to keep the clans in better line with the Code but it maybe being the Dark Forest manipulating her? Idk idk just a thought but her rigid belief in the Code could def be a strong manipulation point.

hollymoon IS a really pretty name! i just think having the prefix be the part that alludes to half moon makes more sense actually-

maybe hollymoon WOULD make more sense since the "moon" in half moon is also the second part of her name

and holly starts with h like half

and if she stays a medicine cat then leafpool could still name her hollymoon after the moonpool (and then jayfeather gets named jayleaf instead cause squirrelflight asks firestar to name him after leafpool like she did with hollyleaf and he doesn't get named after stinky crowfeather anymore) and it ALSO comes full circle (heh full circle... like a full moon... and the moon looks like a circle) because the moonstone and therefore the moonpool were both TECHNICALLY named after half moon so the moonpool was named after half moon who when reincarnated got named after the moonpool!

and that would make her the closest of her siblings to their birth mother when they all find out, so then her confronting her mother and trying to get her to eat death berries is even more impactful and even more fucked up and even more incredibly incredibly heartbreaking

So I'm thinking for an au, what if I made Hollypaw (later Hollymoon) blessed by Half Moon, while Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Dovewing were blessed by their ancient counterparts. Half Moon is also the mother of Jay's Wing and Dove's Wing instead. Rock can be her strange father, or strange grandfather who wanders and comes back once in a while.

I didn't know how to include him, especially since HE claimed to be the first Stoneteller. Now that I think about it, his character felt a little half-baked.

Anyway, can I tell you about this Rock/Midnight idea I had?

I really like this! Maybe with Rock he could either have that first Stoneteller thing retconned or make it ambiguous whether or not he is an immortal being (so he would be around to father kits) or just an old liar who ends up becoming a ghost after he dies?

Holly Character Reference - V1

Hollymoon escapes her trial to returns her power back to the High Division. She hides away in the tunnels, scared to return back home.

Renaming herself Holly, she meets two spirits in the tunnels who help her recover from the events and learn more about her heritage. When a stranger wanders into the tunnels, Holly is the convinced to return back home for a new trial.

A spirit near camp hasn't gotten their rest and targets Holly for revenge.

Hollymoon Character Reference - V1

Hollymoon is the clan's conduit for receiving omens from the High Division. She was raised by the community and doesn't "belong" to one family. Due to the importance of her role, she is very proud of her contributions and often believes she's always right.

She was raised in a sheltered life style and is innocent to the world's misgivings. Her life begins to drastically change when she receives a warning of a clan mate's death and is accused of murder.
