“Well, well, well, I wonder if people now are really stupid enough to enter the Forbidden Forest at night, huh?” Scara asked loudly before Potions– the first lesson you both would have together. The other Slytherin students around him just laughed and slapped each others' backs in response. You try to disregard the comment, given what had happened last night. But then you see the glint in his eyes when he not-so-coincidentally looks in your direction. You know what he's talking about. To be precise, who he's talking about. You look away immediately, pretending to read your Potions textbook.

Before you could even properly read those nonsensical ingredient names, Diluc and Kaeya sit down on the same bench as you do.

"Wow. It's rare that you're so hardworking," Kaeya says when he sees you, "I never thought that you could read upside down."

You look at your textbook. And embarrassingly find that everything, even the diagrams, are misplaced upside down.

You close the book just to see that only the cover isn't misplaced. "What the-" You scowl. You swear that it wasn't some magic spell gone wrong when you were testing them. By how much you hated Potions, Professor Albedo had warned everyone not to use their textbooks as "objects to test your spells on", and you would strictly follow that for life. You grit your teeth. The only person possible to do this to you, to get you into trouble is Scara. You shoot a long stare at the dark blue-haired boy, who makes a silly face as he notices you. “Those Slytherins…” You curse under your breath.

Diluc grabbed the empty seat between you and Kaeya, sending a glance to the laughing, jeering Slytherins. None of them noticed. "Please don't tell me that you were really… gutsy enough to go into the Forbidden Forest by yourself last night," Diluc rubbed his temples with two fingers and sighed. You didn't want to respond. You were actually planning to tell your friends about how you encountered a centaur attack by yourself and lived to tell the story… maybe not all by yourself, but close. However, when you rushed into the Great Hall this morning, miraculously avoiding trouble, people were already filing out for their classes. Hey, at least you get to have some peace and quiet at breakfast. And now you're too tired to even focus on anything for staying up the whole night. Before you can open your mouth to speak, Professor Albedo is already at the front of the classroom.

“Now, take out your textbooks and turn to page six hundred and eighty two…” He says. You listen, but as you turn the pages you realize something worse. The pages' order is messed up. What happened to be supposedly page three hundred and ninety four appeared to be page fifty, then it's page one hundred and one.

You look around nervously, trying to ignore Scara’s snickering behind you.

Diluc whispers a “What's wrong?” and Kaeya passes a note to you. Is it your textbook? The note says. You rip off a piece of paper from your parchment. Yes. It's Scara again. I think he hexed my textbook. You write and push the parchment to Kaeya. 

Tell Professor Albedo?/j no I don't think you have a death wish. Kaeya replies a while later. You chuckle at the remark. You've rarely seen anyone using muggle slang here–

"Mx. y/n, what's so funny?" Professor Albedo asks. You look up from the note. Everyone in the classroom is looking at you. You look at Scara on reflex, only to see him almost wheezing uncontrollably. 

"Nothing, sir," You use a hundred and twenty percent of your willpower to ignore Scara's childish antics, "I'd keep my focus."

The Potions professor walks to your seat and takes his wand out, muttering some spell nobody can hear. The piece of parchment burns in your hands with a lilac flame.

"And–" He reminds you, "We are on page six hundred and eighty two, not page forty-nine."

You flip through the textbook, trying to find the right page. "Its six hundred and eighty two," Professor Albedo tells you as you frantically search for the page. But a full minute of searching and you are in vain.

Albedo looks closely at your textbook. "Let me see it," He says in a stern voice you have never heard before. You don't dare to inch away or do anything to stop him. Your heart is raised to the top of your throat.

He flips over a few pages, even looking at the cover to examine your textbook. 

"Hexed textbook. I've told you not to use textbooks– at least textbooks of my subject to test your spells on. It's just a month into the term, and you've already forgotten about it." His voice was full of disbelief, disappointment seeping from his words, "And you even dare pass notes. To be frank I'd hate to do this, but your behavior makes it necessary for me to give you a detention. And ten points from Gryffindor." Your heart does a huge drop into a bottomless pit. Detention? You've never gotten detention before. And the fact that you got one from Professor Albedo is… just… You stare at Scara. If looks were a weapon, the whole classroom would've died from a nuclear explosion.

“See me at seven in the evening,” The Potions master hands you a piece of paper, with the words “Detention slip” written on it.

Scara, unlike his arrogant self, looked at you in shock, as if he was just an innocent peasant. You turn away from him. You knew that he'd always pranked you, but getting you in detention by this is… You can't think of a word for that under all that rage. You would rather be caught going into the Forbidden Forest than this. At least venturing into the Forest was a choice of your own, and you really can't point your finger at anyone for that.

You scowl. At least Kaeya offers to share his textbook with you.

Soon it's seven in the evening, and you drag your tired self into Professor Albedo's classroom.

You knock, and Albedo says "Come in."

The door opens, showing Albedo sitting at his desk, and… Scara?

“Sit down,” Albedo says, pointing at the seat next to Scara.

You look at Albedo in disbelief. But you don't dare do anything else besides taking the seat.

“What are we now, detention buddies?" You scoff under your breath, only loud enough for Scara to hear.

Albedo spoke again before you could get Scara to say something, “You two would be doing lines here today.” You gulp. You've heard of how scary doing lines is from the others— you might have to write in your own blood, carving the sentence into your flesh. At least the fact that you're not the only one suffering from this cheers you up a bit.

“Scaramouche, you'd be copying ‘I will never hex others’ textbooks' for a hundred times,” Albedo continues, probably ignoring the concern on your face.

So it really was Scara who hexed your textbook! But why was he still here if he could've gotten away from it? He seemed to be the last person to be confessing to doing all this. You look at Scara, who has put on a serious, but calm face for the time being, unable to read his expression.

“As for Y/N, you have the responsibility to keep your textbooks well and you failed at it, so you'd be copying ‘I will keep my textbooks well’ a hundred times. Don’t be too worried though. There’s no blood involved as long as you learn your lesson.”

Albedo then gives you two each a parchment, a jar of ink and a quill before returning to his desk, getting to work.

You also start with your lines. The sooner you get this over with, the better. You haven't had dinner, and if you get to the Great Hall too late there's likely nothing left for you. But the main reason is that you didn't want to face the very person who got you into this in the first place.

As you keep copying the same sentence over and over, lost in the repetitiveness of black ink and slightly yellowed parchment, Scara's scratchy voice breaks your flow. 

"It was my fault. I was too hot-headed and underestimated any impacts all these pranks and dares would bring. You shouldn't have ended up here. I made a stupid mistake myself just for… your reaction, and I can't bear to see you in trouble for my... selfish desires."

You look at him as if he had turned into a gigantic floating knight in shiny armor and sprouted a second pair of arms.

That was him? Scara? Apologizing to you? Were you dead and this was heaven? 

“It should all be my responsibility, okay? In the end I'm no better than the Malfoy scum all those years ago. I should've known that you hated it… I should've... thought about you.” He hung his head in shame, letting out a few pitiful laughs.

Your hand inches to pinch yourself. It hurts, and Scara is still shaking his head in regret. “Fine. Apology accepted,” You say, “Promise not to prank me again?”

“Promise,” Scara replies with a light smile on his face, “And guess what? Actually I find you fascinating.”

You audibly roll your eyes. “Seriously, Scara! You've just been forgiven and you're back to this again! You should join the Drama club!”

And you both laugh. So loud that Albedo hears. He tells you to remain silent, but you can see his slight grin, not hidden under his pretend-serious face

This is a special request for my beloved @kichikichiko I showed her an art of Scaramouche in a Slytherin robe and she requested this from me. Scara would totally be a Slytherin, wouldn't he 😌It's my favorite House. And btw, I do love Harry Potter. I always will. But I DO NOT support JK. Rowling or her views in any way. I think she is a terrible person😑

You were a Gryffindor.

Scaramouche was a Slytherin.

It was pretty much dictated that you guys wouldn't like each other.

And you didn't.

At first.

But, the more Scaramouche started to get an attitude with you and started fights with you on purpose, the more he started to like the way you sassed him back.

So, he purposely started shit with you.

This was now a constant routine, since second day of the first year at Hogwarts in fact, even though he didn't start realizing that he was in love with you until his fifth year.

And you realized you were in love with him until your fourth year.

Rinse. Repeat.

Until the seventh and final year at Hogwarts.

It was hard for Scaramouche to admit that he was falling in love with you.

And you had too much pride as Gryffindor to confess to him first. You were old fashioned. The guy needed to make the first move.

Except for recently, Scaramouche had noticed you were getting close to someone else. Another boy. And Scaramouche could tell this boy had nothing but romantic intentions towards you.

And he couldn't have that.

It was hard for him to swallow his pride, and he was tired of denying himself because he didn't think he deserved to have someone like you love him.

Like usual, Scaramouche had started a fight with you towards the end of class. He said you were probably cheating, and that explained why you were a good student. And that he was impressed that you'd gotten away with it all these years.

You snapped back at him, saying: "Oh, you wish I was cheating. Are you that insecure about how smart you really are? Or are you just that jealous of me and you feel threatened. Grow up and get over it. You'll feel a lot better when you do."

Class had ended and you'd stalked out into the hallway.

And, that boy who liked you followed right behind you. To comfort you and ask you if you were all right, no doubt.

Oh fuck no!

Scaramouche had had enough of this.

He doubly had enough when he got within ear shot of you and what's his name who should drop dead instantly for even looking at you.

"You see, y/n, I have liked you for a long time and I wanted to confess to you before our time at Hogwarts is done." What's his name said.

You started to open your mouth and say you were flattered, but there was someone else that you liked.

Said someone was putting his hand on your shoulder, tugging you a few steps away from the shithead that was determined to get in Scaramouche's way.

"Tch, she isn't interested," He said coldly, fixing what's his name into a glare that sent a cold shiver up the other boy's spine.

You grit your teeth. "Excuse me, Scaramouche, but you are being rude. And anyways, why do you think you can decide if I am interested in someone or not?" You said, raising an eyebrow at him.

"She's interested?" What's his face cut in hopefully.

"She isn't," He said coldly.

You weren't.

Again, Scaramouche didn't give you a chance to speak.

"You know, I should've expected a goody two shoes Gryffindor to fall for a simpering fool like him. Now, hurry up and turn him down," Scaramouche replied, glaring down at you again.

"I..what?" You stammered, blushing at how flustered he was making you feel.

Scaramouche scoffed. "Tch, of course I need to make myself clearer. Keep those pretty eyes on me," Curling his fingers underneath your chin, he kissed you.

You kissed him back.

"Was that clear enough?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at you.

"Scara, I was going to turn him down, anyways. For you. You just never gave me a chance to tell you. How typical of you," You said, "and yes, you made yourself perfectly clear."

Scaramouche rolled his eyes. "Good, because I hate repeating myself."

Kazuscara Hogwarts!AU

 Kazuha looked up at his boyfriend through his soft blonde eyelashes. Kazuha thought Scaramouche looked breathtakingly beautiful when his normally pale skin was illuminated by the green hues of the Great Lake.

“Why are you staring at me?” Scaramouche inquired without taking his eyes off his potions textbook but removing his hand from Kazuha’s grasp to hastily loosen his green and silver necktie.

      “I’m not,” Kazuha countered quickly averting his gaze towards Akuma, Scara’s black cat that lay at his feet. “Why would I even want to look at you?”

      “Because I’m nice to look at. Obviously.” Scaramouche liked this. The never-ending witty banner and the feel of his boyfriend’s abnormally warm hands in his own. His peace was rudely interrupted as a mop of orange hair came into his view.

      “Hi Scara,” Childe’s voice filled his ears and he wanted nothing more than to punch his friend in the face for ruining the little amount of alone time he got to share with Kazuha.

“Get out of my common room Tartaglia.” Kazuha could practically hear the annoyance in his boyfriend's voice and he resisted the urge to laugh.

      “Why? You let the Hufflepuff come in all the time.” The ginger boy exclaimed, pointing his finger accusingly at Kazuha. “This is discrimination towards Gryffindors.” Childe huffed and crossed his arms in mock hurt.

      “The Hufflepuff has a name, Ajax.” Kazuha knew the boy meant no harm but they had met on several occasions and Kazuha had helped him with his Herbology essay, the least Childe could do was use his name. Childe’s head whipped from Kazuha to Scaramouche.

      “You told him my name!” Childs shook his head in bewilderment. “You're an evil little man, Scaramouche.” Scaramouche’s smirk was short-lived when his boyfriend began to speak.

“Was I not supposed to know? I apologize but if its any consultation Scara’s real name is Kunikuzushi.” 

      “What the actual fuck?” Scaramouche’s normally pale face was as red as the streak in Kazuha’s hair. “How do you even know that?” 

       “You told me when I made you brownies.” Kazuha said nonchalantly.

      “When did you make me brownies?” Scaramouche racked his brain trying to place this new information into a timeline in his head.

      Kazuha was still smiling as he spoke, “Two weeks ago.” 

      The pieces slowly began to click in Scara’s head and his eyes went wide. “Kazuha did you drug me?!” Childe couldn’t hold it in anymore and he burst out laughing, falling to the floor in the process. Scaramouche sent a hex at the ginger and he quickly shut up. 

      “No I didn’t drug you. I told you not to touch them and you ate them anyways. You drugged yourself.” 

      Scaramouche blinked and nodded his head in defeat. “You’re both banned from the Slytherin common effective immediately,” He said to reassert his dominance. He quickly began to push his boyfriend and best friend towards the portrait door. “Don’t come back. Ever.” 

      When the door was closed in their faces Kazuha turned towards Childe and said, “This is all your fault.” Kazuha stared at Childe’s red tie glaring at it. “And your tie is stupid. Red is not your color.” Kazuha then turned and walked out of the dungeons leaving Childe with all his thoughts.

How did you get together? Tell the story in as much or as little detail as you’d like!

I have a fic for this (not posted yet I don't think) but uhh... so me & Kazu got together first (essentially high school sweethearts that evolved from childhood best friends so like how my genshin s/i is but in a modern au) and then in college, we end up with scara & heizou as roommates and oopsies feelings blossom.

so for the confession... kazu brings it up to me that he likes them and I think they're cute but not outright interested at that point (it's in like the first year or so of rooming with them) but I know that I will like them if that makes sense (like the crush is beginning but not fully formed). So, on a separate day, I bake cookies for everyone and we bring it up then and all agree to all date each other and see where it goes <3

8. What’s a road trip (or any equivalent) like between you guys?

Ooh, a road trip would be fun. Kazu would be happy regardless of how planned out the trip is. Heizou would have like places he wants to go see & Scara would pretend he's annoyed the whole time but he's enjoying the atmosphere. I feel like driver would rotate between all of us by like day and we'd either stay in small inns along the way or just keep driving (switching out when the current driver gets too tired). As for music... I think again it'd alternate who gets to be in charge of it. So, all-in-all a fun trip (though I think Scara'd be cranky by the end bc introvert with very minimal alone time but he could recharge at home after)

Gonna go ahead and disclaimer that I do not support JKR... still I'll answer this. My S/I is me and I was a Hufflepuff so... Scara would be either a Ravenclaw or a Slytherin, Heizou's a Ravenclaw, and Kazuha... could be any tbh; I do like either Gryffindor or Ravenclaw for him.

Weeelll here's a quick rundown of the characters and their backstories..

Killian Boyd Salem- Killian is a Hybrid that moved to forks 2 weeks before Bella. You get a different friend group dynamic because he's friends with the Popular kids in Forks which concludes Lauren Mallory, Tyler Crowley, and Conner... (Yeah I don't really know who Conner is but what artist and or writer gives up a free background character 😙).

Odette Honeyfields- is a very Rich person of color from American and the only thing she seems to lack in is A filter, Odette is the 'odd' crazy kind younger sibling that everyone seems to think is classy or mature for her age but it's more likely due to the fact that she's been running her father's estate her whole life, but anyhow her father suddenly requests that she goes to London for her first season like her late mother and sister had and is forced to navigate her life in traditional settings.

Sutton/Scara- is the personification of death and life not that they know... This is a kind of spin-off series to the traditional Aphmau Minecraft Diaries-my street series where we follow a group called "the others", that live behind Phoenix drop and aren't exactly pardon from the disasters that happened in Phoenix drop but there problems are subsequently 'Stranger'.

(Ever wish that Minecraft Diaries had a more macabre settings to it or ever wish that the religious trauma that was obviously perturbed on every character in that world was acknowledged more often... well here you go a whole series where the theme is religious spiritual issues instead of the political slice of Life you get with Aphmau's traditional Minecraft diary series)

???- for the Hogwarts one this would follow the slytherins and puts more pizzazz golden tiro esc living on the emerald group but in a Slytherin way still so that they're less background characters and more the secret spy rich kids we knew they were... But with grindelwald adopted great grandchild 👀in the mix to shake up some ideals.

Nicknames: My dad’s called me Philly ever since I was a kid, that and Caitlandia- he’s been calling me that since I was 4. Older internet friends call me Wrath or Scara, depending on where they know me from, and people here tend to call me Kaiju or KT. A student called me Grandma once. I got my TAs to call me Captain after starting every e-mail with “Hi, crew!” and eventually they caught on.

No. of blankets: None right now, it’s too goddamn hot. Even when it’s cold out, I rarely use more than just the sheet. Sometimes the duvet, but my internal thermostat runs pretty hot.

Dream trip: Worldwide jaunt where I hit up all the big natural history museums.

More realistically, tea garden tour- China, Nepal, India, South Korea, Japan. 

Actually, more realistically- just... one or two of those places, I can’t imagine taking off the sheer amount of time I’d need to hit five countries.

Dream job: I already have it. Teaching anthropology, doing museum work, hanging out with dead people.

Baizhu x Reader Hogwarts AU

Genshin Impact but Hogwarts AU (pls don't kill me I just somehow thought of the AU one day and threw Genshin characters inside, fuck JKR) headcanon where Baizhu gets sorted into Slytherin because of his Parseltounge powers (and him having Changsheng as a pet) but gets bullied because he's "too nice to be in Slytherin", he's an outcast in his house. To make things worse, people in the other houses fear him-- he's a Parseltounge when others expected none after Harry Potter and Voldemort, how can they not fear him? Rumors spread about him, about how he's secretly the new "heir of Slytherin" or the "Dark Lord Reincarnated". That would definitely gain him respect and popularity before the Great War, but it's been over 25 years since the war had ended and it't not the case now. Nobody wants another war.

Then he meets you. You, as a popular, bold daredevil Gryffindor, goes into the Forbidden Forest alone at midnight because your rival Scaramouche dared you to. Your friend Diluc, a descendant of the Dumbledore family, and his stepbrother Kaeya had warned you about the possible dangers of the Forest, especially to a first-year girl. Alone. At midnight. But you insist. You want to show Scara that he's the chicken, not you.

You enter the forest in the dead of night, with your wand and the only two spells you knew (Lumos and Wingardium Leviosa). Yes. That would be enough to fight off anything that's unlucky enough to get hurled in your way-- you've heard the tale of Ronald Weasley knocking out a grown troll too many times. But things don't work that way. An hour in and you find yourself attacked by centaurs, just because your Lumos spell went wrong and sent an explosion at the creatures. You try to cast a Wingardium Leviosa, but you forget-- is it swish and flick, or flick and swish? Does it go LeviOsa or LeviosA? You regret not listening to Diluc and Kaeya, and you make a mental note to roast the smirk off Scara's face if you get out of this alive ("I survived a centaur attack, what about you?" You imagine yourself saying to the arrogant Slytherin). Then you forget that you're still in combat. And you still have no idea how to cast a Wingardium Leviosa strong enough to lift up something lethal for combat.

A centaur charges at you when you're still forcing yourself to remember how to properly pronounce the spell. You decide to forget about magic and find a way to run away-- hey, at least you still have bragging rights about how you got attacked by a bunch of centaurs and lived to tell the story. However you look around to see the centaurs have formed a circle around you, leaving you no choice but to stay. And get shot by arrows until you become a human hedgehog or die, either comes first.

As you dread about which is worse-- getting killed or facing Scara's jeers and Diluc and Kaeya's "I told you so"s after this when the centaurs nock their arrows, a flash of green flies out from the bushes, hitting a centaur. The others scatter and run away, but you panic more. The only spell you've heard of that has a green flash was the Killing Curse. Was that a remainant of the the Death Eaters? Or worse, another Dark Lord in training? You get down, hide yourself in your robe and hold your breath, hoping that any person attacking the centaur won't notice you.

You hear footsteps. From under your robe, you can see the tail of a Slytherin scarf. Was that Scara? Did he plan this all along, just to see you miserable and defeated? You shake your head at the thought. He's just like you-- a first-year. There's no way he can master such a complex spell like that. And he might be annoying as heck, but not pure evil. At least not now.

"Chillax, Firenze..." You hear someone say in a soothing voice, "She's just a student, not a Death Eater..."

"But she just hurled an explosion at us!" Firenze the centaur bellowed. He's still alive.

"Nobody was hurt. I'd ask her about her motives later."

You hear more rustling and tugging sounds. "Get these damned vines off me first!"

Another flash of green. The clip-clopping of hooves off into the distance. Firenze is gone. Now you're alone with this mysterious person who saved you.

You push your torso up to see a student in his school robes. Nothing special, just the typical green Slytherin robes with the green scarf coiled around his arm. He had long green hair, with golden-rimmed glasses, and was much taller than you were, and you've never saw him before. Or maybe you simply forgot about him.

Then you notice the white, long thing coiled around his neck. You first thought that it was a vine, given that this person is most likely the same guy who tied Firenze up with vines. But you see two red rubies sticking out of the vine.

It's not a vine. It's a snake.

You have heard from Diluc and Kaeya about a third-year Slytherin with his pet snake around his neck, about how dangerous he is as a Parseltounge. But hey, he's still the person who saved your life. You at least have to thank him for that.

You gulp before asking, "Thanks, but... who are you? And... why are you here?"

"The name's Baizhu. I guess you've heard of me before. It's normal to be scared," he replies, golden eyes closing as a smile. The snake spits out its tounge, which doesn't help much with relieving your fear. "And come on, Changsheng! Don't scare her!" Baizhu turns towards the snake.

It's him they're talking about. The one you have to avoid. But your curiosity about the reason why he ended up here still overcomes your fear. "What brings you here?" You ask, holding up your wand even though you probably can't even cast a Lumos.

"-I came for the herbs. I need them for making a new healing potion-" He coughs, but his smile doesn't falter.

"Herbs? For a healing potion?" You crook a brow and blurt, "That seems too pathetic for an excuse."

Baizhu doesn't seem affected by your remark. "Yes. The materials used to make healing potions taught in our textbooks are way too ineffective when it comes to sprains. So I'm thinking about using Amakumo Fruit instead of small lamp grass..." He explains.

You nod as you notice the sky becoming slightly purple. It's beautiful, with the fireflies in the woods. You've always loved the sunrise. But that means breakfast is going to start soon, and you know the trouble you'd be in if the whole Hogwarts population find you rushing towards the Great Hall from the Forest, covered in grass and mud.

"It's almost morning. I have to go back." You say, trying to climb up and leave. Then a sharp pain hits you in your right leg, and you fall back down onto the ground.

"You ok?" Baizhu asks, expression concerned. You look at your right leg. A long stripe of blood seeps through your sock, dying the fabric crimson. "Oh dear. Your leg."

"No shit, Sherlock," You say through gritted teeth as Baizhu fumbles for something in a pouch he carries around on his waist.

He finally hands you a glass bottle with blue liquid inside. "Here's a healing potion I made just in case. I guess I'd be using it on you." He chuckles.

You look at the blue liquid. What if it's not safe? But the pain in your leg stops you from thinking more so you unstopper the bottle and drink from it like a man dying of thirst-- then you feel an urge to spit it out.

"Why is this so bitter?!" You say after forcing yourself to swallow the poison potion, "Is this poison?" Even Changsheng looked like it were smirking. But your leg does feel better.

Baizhu tries to hold back laughter. "Good potions are always bitter," He says, leading you back on your feet.

As the sun continues to rise, you and Baizhu walk out of the Forest. Maybe he wasn't that scary anyways.
