Saw your requests were open, so I thought I might shoot my shot.

I’ve recently gotten really into Homestuck, in massive part because of the HiveSwap FriendSim and PesterQuest games (god I love them), which lead me down the slippery slope; and I’m in LOVE with the Jade Bloods.

So, kindly, may I request for some HC’s with a human reader who convinces their chosen Jade Blood to try this human invention called, “Cuddling”.

💚 Bronya Ursama x human!Reader 🍼

Your appearance in Bronya's life was unexpected for her. You were an outsider, an alien who ended up in her house. But you weren't going to hurt anyone. You were a friendly and open person who was eager to learn more about a planet you didn't know and about those you met. Especially about Bronya, which you were particularly interested in

Over time, you began to spend a lot of time with her. You hid when it was necessary, because you were much weaker than most trolls and you could easily have been killed. You were happy to help her with grubs and just chat with her. Bronya liked how open you were in communication and you didn't hide any secret motives. You just liked her

On one of the quiet days, I told her that you wanted to teach her one thing that is being done on your home planet. You assured her that it wasn't dangerous. Only after that Bronya calmed down and allowed you to do what you wanted. She was surprised when you hugged her. You claimed that this was how humans expressed their support, their feelings and closeness

The hug was a bit unexpected for her, but Bronya wouldn't say it was anything unpleasant. She liked feeling the warmth of your hands. She felt like she could relax for a little while, knowing that she was safe

You and Daraya met in an abandoned shopping mall. She came there periodically when she wanted to be alone, and you came there after seeing an interesting place. She watched you curiously looking at the abandoned shops. She didn't think you were dangerous, so she talked to you. You were a strange but friendly alien

You started seeing each other in an abandoned shopping mall. She told you about brooding caverns, and you told her about Earth, your home planet. Your planet was very different from Alternia, but Daraya loved listening to your stories. You knew that you were unlikely to return home, so you were glad that you weren't alone. Daraya told you about how cruel Alternia was. Listening to her, you realized more and more that she needed support, because there was little you could do to help her change the planet

When you saw that she was sad, you suggested that she try one of the ways that humans use to feel better. Daraya looked at you thoughtfully, but agreed. You hugged her, causing surprise on Daraya's face. It was the first time she had felt something so warm and soothing

She wasn't sure exactly what you were doing, but she liked the warmth she felt. It was not only physical warmth, but also mental. Your hugs couldn't get her out of all her problems, but you could at least help her feel better a little bit

When Lanque first saw you, he immediately noticed that you were different from the trolls. You were an alien, and because of that, you aroused his interest. He wasn't shy about flirting with you, but you talked to him like you were just friends. Lanque was wondering how long you would be able to maintain this attitude, so he continued to communicate with you

You told him about your home planet with a smile, and he listened while continuing to flirt with you. He liked your sincerity. It was like a challenge to him. Bronya asked him several times not to cross the line with you, but he wasn't going to listen to her

One day when you were spending time together, you told him that you wanted to show him something that humans often do. Your words interested him, so he agreed to find out what you wanted to show him. You asked him to close his eyes, which interested him even more. When he felt your warmth, he opened his eyes. You hugged him, with a sincere smile on your lips

You called it a hug. He felt the warmth of your human's body. Usually, such intimacy entailed something more, but you just hugged him. You claimed that it showed care and affection. Lanque wasn't sure why you were doing this, but he even liked being in your arms. It seemed to make you closer

💚 Lynera Skalbi x human!Reader 🔪

When Lynera first saw you, she tensed up. You often talked to Bronya and it really bothered her, but when you met Lynera, all your attention turned to her. This caused her surprise and misunderstanding. For some reason, you liked spending time with her more than with the wonderful Bronya. However, at some point, she realized that she didn't mind it either

You were friendly and open. You were ready to listen to her when she needed it and showed a keen interest in her and her life. Lynera was pleased to know that she had someone she could trust. You were there for her when she was happy and when she was sad. She could trust you with her emotions and feelings

When you came to her, you saw that she was crying. It wasn't the first time, but this time she cried harder than usual. You didn't know exactly what happened, but you knew you couldn't stay away. You hugged her, wanting to give her some support. Lynera froze, not knowing what to expect, but your hugs distracted her from sadness and tears

You told her that these were hugs and humans used them when they wanted to show affection or provide support. You didn't know what her problems were, but you sincerely wanted to support her. It was really important to her. She calmed down a little and you could discuss what happened, but you were in no hurry to let her go, realizing that she might still need your support

Hiveswap Headcanons

Author's Note: I know some of these are probably already accepted by the fandom but, I love thinking about them. It will range from headcanons about the trolls, to claspects or quadrants.

I like to think aspects could be ruled by the main aspect of the true sign. For example Tagora is a space aspect and the true sign teal blood aspect is mind so then his Space aspect would be ruled by Mind Aspect. (Tbh I mostly got that idea from optimisticduelist but, I do mine a little different. I don't think the true signs class effects the interpretation of their sign.)

Trolls whose sign has any animalitic features have more animalistic features. It could be their ears, shape of the eyes, teeth, nails or horns.

Trolls of a lower blood caste are warmer while troll of a higher blood caste is colder.

I like seeing the Black Quadrant more as a motivator compared to just hate sex. Like a person you hate so much that you strive to become better to spite them or to rub it in their face.

Trolls can 100% purr and I will fight people who say otherwise.

I headcanon Skylla as a Mage of Time, Tagora is Knight of Space and Zebruh as a Bard of Doom. I want to do a whole paper on why I think these classes and my on take how classpects work

Tbh that's all I can think of for now but, I will for sure make another Headcanon list when I get my creative juices flowing again. Thanks for listening to my silly little rambles

Let’s go! Quick fire Fozzer hcs:

For starters, in case you haven’t gathered already, I hc Fozzer as being from the equivalent of troll Russia, because of his namesake and way of speaking

This is also why I draw him so fuzzy, as he’s essentially a type of troll built for the cold (there are plenty of fuzzy bugs too)

I also hc him to be very tall

I’ve always headcanonned his lusus to be a mix between a bear and a moth. This is both an aesthetic choice, and a choice linked to his name origin

I think he’s very smart and well educated, he may even have a degree, but people often think he’s dumb because of his appearance

Similarly, he’s quite well read- he probably collects books too

He has a lot of mediocre talents, such as drawing, writing, singing, and sewing

I took the ‘practicing orthodox decompositionist’ bullet point from his troll call seriously and believe he had a religious upbringing (I mean, he does call the Reader a Judas), hence why I made his ancestor a priest

I also think his hive looks like a beaten up chapel

I have a very specific hc that he used to have sharp fangs, but they got snapped off

I don’t think he’s as kind as he lets on. His route suggests he’s actually pretty self-serving

He can see and hear ghosts, he just refuses to acknowledge them. I also think he has slight psychic control over metal

He’s a Page of Heart

I think his passion for burying bodies comes from a place of superstition and spirituality

He’s a tea guy and rarely touches coffee

He can play the accordion (or troll equivalent)

He’s good with children

He has an interest in ballet, though he’s too big and clumsy to do it himself

He has a serious sweet tooth

He’s very emotional (I personally see him as Autistic)

Those are all the ones I can think of right now, but keep checking back, as I might add more.

what are your headcanons/thoughts on dammek? he doesn't make much of an appearance in hiveswap yet so i wanted to know what you think of him! (especially since u really seem to like him lol)

BRO I am THE Dammek guy lemme tell u. It’s kinda hard to condense all of my thoughts I’ve had about him in that like, 5 year time period were hiveswap was my main interest but fhkgkh-

Dammek is the trans guy who never washes his binder and sticks his head under the bathtub facets and washes his hair with hand soap instead of taking a shower. He’s incredibly smart when it comes to planning and engineering but even without even meeting him yet he comes off as weird insecure guy.

I’ve always held the interpretation that the controllingness over Xefros comes from a place of paranoia and dependence on him, and it’s Xefros’s own interpretation that it’s because he thinks he isn’t capable or dumb or smth. Which isn’t Xefros’s fault bc I ALSO think Dammek is the LEAST DAMN COMMUNICATIVE GUY EVER. Exactly the type of person to go “ooh you shouldn’t play area stickball because sports are so stupid.” When he actually just doesn’t want Xefros to Die. I hope (or if it never comes out personally interpret) Dammek’s arc as unlearning that, and just learning to be an open and cooperative person, which is really likely as Joey describes Jude as “stupidly self assured” (unlike Xefros). I think some of Dammek’s more covert toxicity in his relationship with Xefros was kinda lost in the writers switch between act 1 and 2, as a looot of the subtlety was as well. Some parts talking about Dammek are a bit dumbed down to be like, “Dammek mean to Xefros” but it doesn’t take away much from my own personal interpretation so whatever. I personally interpret Dammek as autistic (as I do the entire main four lmaoo), I could go into this waaay more in depth but one thing I wanna point out is his fixations on both things and people shown by what Xefros says about him and just, the state of some of the mad scribbling around his hives lmaoo. I think we’re gonna find that Dammek is really not as cool or even as good at social interactions as Xefros seems to prop him up to be. I think Dammek is the kind of person to deflect to being mean when he’s nervous in strange situations, which Xefros takes as being “tough” since He usually defaults to freezing or fauning haha

Starve no more!! I'll feed you AND me cause I honestly fucking live for alien differences between trolls and humans like? Omg...I'll try to sneak some Mallek and Marvus for ya since you seem to mention both of them (and I'll throw in some other ones for more comparisons >:])

So for general troll temperature headcanons, let me tell you, you'd better enjoy being cold/not be too bothered by it cause the higher on the spectrum, the colder the blood you're touching and cuddling. The warmest a troll will ever be is if they're a mutantblood, the closest thing to getting to normal human body temperatures and the ones with any real warmth to them. Rust bloods being the lowest on the hemospectrum that aren't mutants don't have as much warmth but still tend to run warmer than other blood types on the hemospectrum. Not exactly lukewarm, little bit warmer than that. When we hit the goldbloods, that's when it starts getting lukewarm temperatures. Smack dab in the middle of the spectrum, the Jades, aren't very warm or anything, but it's a few hairs away from being able to consider them cold feeling. Anything above the jades is when things start getting cold.

Teals you could say are cold, maybe not unpleasantly so, you could feel such a difference that you would no longer feel any real warmth. Cerulean is when the temperatures could be so stark as opposed to human warmth that coming into direct skin to skin contact with it could definitely shock your skin and make you flinch initially. Purples are. Man. Remember how I said you'd better like being cold? This is where the cold could be the brink of being unpleasant for some who can't handle it very well, it really starts setting in the longer you choose stay in physical contact with them. Violets, I'd argue, would be downright unpleasantly cold to the touch, like, you know how if you go outside in the snow and your body feels numb and face would be stinging? Like that.

With that general stuff of how perceive the coldness of some trolls established. Um. Mallek and Marvus :} I'm going to apologize in advance, Marvus is a character I've always been intimidated by in terms of writing. I feel like I just don't get him enough, and I'd hate to mischaracterize him :(( but I'll do my best!! (Putting a break here cause I type a lot)

Marvus and Mallek I feel like have a tendency to be mischievous little shits sometimes, once becoming aware and acquainted with the warmth Mspar emits and how cold they are in comparison they like to have fun with it. Mallek likes to do that thing some people do, ya know, where people take something fucking cold like a thing of ice cream or an ice cold drink and fucking PRESS it against your skin and it makes you scream? That. But no ice cream, it's his hand touching their bare skin (which still makes them shriek and jolt in surprise). They turn around and playfully smack him on the shoulder in retaliation.

Marvus likes doing the same thing but for him GOD FUCK the cold feels so much worse than Mallek. Bitch IS the ice being pressed against your skin. He doesn't even need to use his whole hand, he could press a finger to them and get a reaction. Punching doesn't do much to Mallek anyways, trolls and their thicker skins, but Marvus doesn't have a lot of squish to begin with. It's weird punching someone who feels so..solid? Not to say he's got absolutely no squish, but he has very little of it.

Cuddling... ahehhehehe cracks knuckles.

Since I'm already talking about Marvus lemme get to him already. Since he is a freezer, it'll take a bit to get fully comfortable laying against him. Warmth can overpower or balance out a trolls temperature, this is something that's very hard to do with bloods higher than indigo. Something like either them or Marvus wearing a good amount of clothing to separate makes it to where they don't feel immediately uncomfortable with the chill of his skin. Marvus I feel like is kinda finicky when it comes to touch or laying for long periods of time?? It's kinda funny, you could hug him, and he'd allow it for just a few seconds before he'd wiggle his way out of it, a playful look to his eyes. Or allowing you to rub his skin for a bit before pulling away. Only when he's tired or is ready to be settled in completely is when you can really, for real, cuddle him without him squirming out of it.

Now Mallek? Umpfh. Touch starved. Mspar too actually, I headcanon that they are a touched starved person themselves. So how about two touched starved people help another out..by cuddling. And everything else that involves touch under the moon really.

For him, he kinda loses it when he's in physical contact with them. It's the warmth! It really gets to him, and it makes his brain go nuts. He used to fight the overwhelming urge to wrap them up really tight in his arms cause ya know. Snake brain, cold, friend/flushcrush is warm, curl around the warmth. He didn't fight it anymore when they actively sought out physical touch from him themselves and was actively encouraging him and letting him know it was okay to search for it back.

It was through being around him that they discovered the most surprising thing they never thought of a troll doing. Purring.

They have never heard of a sound as soft as purring coming from a troll.

Trolls only purr in the presence of those they feel the utmost comfort with. To feel the safest with, to trust them the most, and to be at your most vulnerable with. It's super intimate stuff in troll culture. Hearing that anywhere out in public could make trolls snap their head in that direction and make them flush in the face. Get a room!!

I imagine it was one of those many days where they stayed over at his hive. They had just decided that they were done playing video games and it from leaning against each other in silence while the game systems powered off, then it transitioned into Mspar coaxing Mallek to lay on then while they had their back laid down on his lounge plank. His weight against them was comforting to them.

They were just nuzzling his shoulder and rubbing their hands all up and down his back and sides, all with no patterns to it. He had his face pressed against their chest, his arms pushed underneath them to wrap around them. They could feel his smile against their skin, and they were all smiles and happy, too. Then they, well, they felt it before they heard it.

It was something they didn't even notice at first, the rumbling, the small vibrations emitting from his throat and chest. When it was growing stronger and the purring became audible, they still didn't question it at first. They were just so comfortable, and the cuddling was just so nice, his purring could put them to sleep and...wait. Purring?

When the realization of Mallek purring hit them, they temporarily halted their hand movements. Mallek stayed put for a bit before his purring stuttered a little, and he cracked an eyelid open to gaze at them, wondering why they stopped. He finds them kind of staring at him, their hands still under his tank top just stopped on his back.

"you okay;"

This snaps them out of it and they and they lean in to kiss his forehead, Mallek snorts in response and immediately relaxes against them again.

They kindaaa wanted to point it out at in the moment but ultimately decided against it so that he didn't get embarrassed or shy and stops. They think it's SUPER fucking cute.

As for general differences between troll and human romance? Cracks fingers. Obviously it depends on what quadrant a troll is interested in having you in. I'll go with red romance for now unless someone later wants the other quads too lol.

I talked about purring before and purring is a BIG one. Purring is how trolls communicate that they feel absolutely safe and comfortable in their partners presence along with purring being a form to heal when their partner is hurt or isn't feeling well. It leaves them very open and vulnerable and so it feels very intimate for most trolls. A troll purring in the presence of human they're interested in a human may not pick up the significance of it so they just see it at its simplest until explained. Some trolls may feel a little hurt when their human partners don't pick up on their purring and they don't purr back in response, again, until explained that humans aren't capable of making sounds such as purring. Make no mistake though! Troll purring does not sound like how a cat's would. It's sounds like how you would imagine an insect purring would sound like.

Sleeping in the presence of a person you're interested in or around your partner is another big thing trolls do. Sleeping near other trolls is again, a vulnerability thing. To sleep near someone? To be so open and let your guard down like that? To trust someone that much? Wipes sweat from brow. Humans being able to do this with trolls they're even a little comfortable with is absolutely flabbergasting to most trolls.

Okay there's sleeping when someone is nearby...then there's sleeping WITH someone. No not like that ya nasties. Sleeping with someone, in their recuperacoon, it's a vulnerability thing again woo boy. It's the HIGHEST form of trust a troll could show their partner! The significance of this can really go over a human's head, they truly don't understand the gravity of trust at play here.

Here's something not sleep related. Scent marking. This one is more subtle than just. A partner wearing their sign or typing the way their typing quirk is. This one is when a troll leaves something, take a shirt or their socks or something, at their partners hive. It leaves a bit of them, their scent, there and it's meant for their partners + any other trolls that are over know. Humans tend to also seek their partner's scent/how they smell (think stealing your partners clothes), it's another thing that means more deeply than they originally think about.

When Marvus first saw the scary comics filled with dark humor and blood, he found them interesting. He was even more interested to find out who their author was. He was surprised when he found out that you were the author of these comics. You didn't seem to be a fan of horror movies or black humor. On the contrary, you were relaxed, with an eternal soft smile on your lips and a kind character. It was very different from what he imagined

Pretty soon he found out that you really were the author. A couple of times he saw you at work and your concentrated expression seemed nice to him. You were both popular, although unlike him, few people knew you by sight, but you received a huge number of letters from fans of your work. However, it was always quiet at home and Marvus could relax there, spending time with you

He invited you to his concerts several times. You were standing backstage, where he brought you so that you wouldn't get hurt in the crowd. Sometimes, when his performances were delayed, you sat in his dressing room and worked on a new issue of a comic book. When he came to the dressing room, he kissed you on the temple, rejoicing at the well-held concert and the fact that you could relax together after that

He was the one who first read the new issue of your comic. You showed him a lot of rough drafts when you couldn't decide what to draw or which scenario was better. You trusted him and listened to his opinion, and Marvus never imposed his point of view on you, only sharing his impression and letting you decide for yourself which choice is better to make

Marvus liked the fact that despite the fact that you drew horror comics, you remained kind and relaxed. He liked your comics and he liked you. You were both creative, and it didn't matter to him that you, unlike him, for your fans, remained a faceless author whom they would not be able to recognize in the crowd
