cupid messed up her paperwork when she was filing out the forms to apply for ever after and that's why her birthday changed from november 24th to february 14th. she's too embarrassed to correct everyone and it's kind of nice that she gets to celebrate her birthday twice a year. though, it's still a little sad when she spends her first november at ever after and her birthday rolls around and no one from ever after greets her. The problem with the "diversity" initiative is that it had intended to fix a real problem. Employer bias does exist and they will often forgo the candidate they are biased against even if they are qualified. But the initiative went far beyond fixing a real problem and created new problems as "diversity" became the priority rather than the effort to eliminate unfair discrimination. Both the left and the right ignore different aspects of the problems at play here

#if I have to spell it out for anyone #the right ignores employer bias #they seem to believe an employer would never forgo a competent employee/candidate 'just because'#and the left ignores the fact that when 'diversity' becomes the priority quality often suffers #some jobs just don't have enough 'diverse' candidates applying because they're just not interested and that's fine #but when that happens and they're forced to fill this quota #that means the business has to hire any random schmuck that fits regardless of talent
