50 ONE LEVEL CAREERS: Storytelling careers megapack by isy's the snake
Tumblr media
Here is yet another career mod pack, but this one has no promotions, you just work and your job level stays at 1. As the title say this mod is best for story telling!
creator's notes-
This mod requires XML Injector by Scumbumbo. You can find it here. Pay attention if you don't already have it for another mod! In that case, you do not need to re-install it. Be sure it is updated for the last patch.
XML Injector is a mod required for some mods to work. So, you install it as any other mod in your Mods folder, no more than one subfolder deep.
This mod has been updated for the version 1.99.305 of the game (second update after Horse Ranch).
It doesn't required any DLC to work. Base game compatible
I've adopted this mod from the amazing ItsKatato who, due to her hiring at EA, couldn't continue to mod. I have made some changes: • I have changes all the pics of the careers — now they all show Sims (please check the credits paragraph at the end to see who was the amazing raccoon who helped me); • I have updated the mod for the Horse Ranch patch; • I have cleared ALL the tuning errors; • Fixed the description of some careers who appeared to be missing.
Now, here we go with the explanation of the mod (originally written by ItsKatato, edited by me):
Katato said: "Have you ever had a story planned out for your sims but you can't find the perfect career for them? Most of the time when I find the career it ends up being a complicated career with a bunch of promotion tasks and extra stuff. Well, I've made a pack of a bunch of single-level careers. All your sim has to do is go to work, that's it. This is perfect for the non-important sims in your life, like the forgotten children of your legacy challenge." In short: those are 50 careers you can use for NPCs Sims or random Sims you do not want to care about. As Amethyst said: "Go to work, make money, leave me alone". Your Sims won't need any task to perform to upgrade and get a promotion, as well as they do not really need an ideal mood to go to work since it won't change their performance. They just go and do their job. And now the list of all careers:
1. Anesthetiologist 2. Cartographer 3. Chiropractor 4. Compliance Officer 5. Data Scientist 6. Dental Hygienist 7. Dentist 8. Diagnostic Medical Sonographer 9. Financial Advisor 10. Financial Manager 11. Genereal Surgeon 12. Genetic Counselor 13. Home Health Aide 14. Information Security Analyst 15. IT Manager 16. Interpreter And Translator 17. Lawyer 18. Marriage And Family Therapist 19. Massage Therapist 20. Mathematician 21. Mechanical Engineer 22. Medical And Health Services Manager 23. Nurse Anesthetist 24. Nurse Practitioner 25. Bus Pass: Chef Heimlich McMuesli
Tumblr media
Why are you like this.
Name: Heimlich McMuesli
Age: Early Fifties
Residence: His camping edition Volkswagen Bus
Origin: California, USA
Occupation: Chef, also grows fruits and veggies for farmers’ markets on the side
Orientation: Pansexual
Significant other(s): None, but several free love associates
Heimlich McMuesli is the resident cook at Camp Kidney. He’s a self-proclaimed vegetarian and his tendency to push this onto the scouts makes him unpopular at meal times. That said, he seems genuinely to care for them and only wants his idea of what’s best for them, (for better or worse.) He also doubles as a guidance counselor to them, utilizing New Age child therapist techniques and going to admirable pains to help campers such as Edward and Gretchen find peace. Per his own admission, he was an angry child and wants to put that behind him. He is however still short on patience at times, holier than thou, and very judgmental.
Biography: Canon and Headcanon
Heimlich was born to veteran hippie parents in California, not far from Prickly Pines. They ran a little farm and also sold art, clothing and handicrafts for income. He was an only child and thus was kept very busy by his parents helping them with their work. This lack of free time and constant delegation of chores made him very sour for a few years, but he mellowed out and quickly became a little clone of his parents, fully embracing hippie life and abstention from meat by the time he entered middle school.
As an adult, Heimlich began backpacking more often, especially in Peru, and his means of transport, a Volkswagen Bus fitted for camping, became his steadiest home. His parents passed away back in the States while he was away, (though he had been regularly in touch and visited plenty,) and he was for a while very aggrieved, but recovered. Still, the old McMuesli Farm made him mournful just thinking about it, and he was increasingly interested in his own mobility. He sold the farm shortly after inheriting it and didn’t look back. Heimlich took several odd jobs as he went up and down the country, never staying rooted in one place but making many, many friends, (and free lovers too.)
His travels brought him back where he started in California, and his newest gig was the chef for a summer camp belonging to the Bean Scouts of America. His ideas of sustenance were… very untraditional for a crowd used to canned pork and beans, but no one else was applying for the job, especially due to its pittance salary. McMuesli, who was frugal, adept at self-support and needed no room and board, was able to make it work, and so he was hired (with much grumbling and mockery, to his face) by Scoutmaster Lumpus.
By the time of the show, McMuesli has been the camp cook for five years or so. This is far and away the longest he’s stayed in a single place since the sale of his parents’ farm, and although he has yet to say so aloud, he probably plans to stay even longer. The Bean Scouts of America, who are chronically cash-strapped, are now his biggest backers; any replacement would surely want a raise. This newfound sense of tenure-esque invincibility has affected Heimlich profoundly; whereas before he would serve meat at least three times a week in return for… being allowed to complain, he’s completely remade the food curriculum to what he sees as fit. He also has a megalomanic penchant for confiscating junk food contraband, complete with security CCTV and a bank vault. He’s… a character.
Not long after his arrival, McMuesli started his “Temper Tee-Pee” program. Slinkman, who we’ve seen is chronically overstretched, no doubt was thrilled at the prospect of some of his counseling duties being shouldered. He and McMuesli generally get along well, though the former can find Heimlich grating in his worst moments. McMuesli tried once to confiscate Slinkman’s usual diet soda, and only once. I won’t go into detail, but if you watch Slinkman “go ballistic” in “Slugfest” it was more or less a repeat. After which, Slinkman’s necessary daily caffeine was left unmolested and the two agreed never to speak of it again. (Where was I? Oh yeah, the tee-pee.)
The Temper Tee-Pee program, if you haven’t seen the eponymous episode, is basically a child therapy program run by McMuesli. Campers who have outbursts are issued “temper tickets” and join McMuesli in a bespangled, hippie-dippie little tent that reeks of incense, is full of Native American paraphenalia that comes off as a bit tacky in retrospect depending on McMuesli’s heritage, and has beanbag chairs that suck you in like quicksand. (No, it’s not considered a punishment. Officially.) Here, Heimlich does… pretty admirable work of trying to understand campers’ pain and resolving it. His methods are unconventional, (“and he smells it, too,” says the little Edward voice in my head,) but they work and aren’t patronizing to a scout. (Granted, Edward and Gretchen found the peace he wanted them to find by fantasizing about running him down with a roadroller, but the end justified the means: they chilled out and learned to vibe.)
Again, though, he’s not a pillar of nirvana himself. While trying to teach the Jelly trio how to make tofu frankfurters, he leaves in a huff to backpack in Peru, and leaves the whole camp chefless. This would be unacceptable anywhere else, but as has been said, McMuesli’s just that untouchable. Another occasion sees him get VERY worked up and out of line when the Jellies insinuate eating broccoli is like cutting down trees. And, when Scoutmaster Lumpus reminds him he’s trying to gain weight, McMuesli flees in hysterics, exclaiming that the moose is “not of this world.”
He’s something else. But then again, so’s everyone in this show.

The Manitoba government is recruiting dozens of allied health-care workers to help speed up discharge times in hospital emergency departments. The NDP plans to spend $2.75 million toward hiring more physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and other specialized health-care professionals who are to work with patients on an appropriate and safe discharge. Health Minister Uzoma Asagwara said addressing discharge rates will have a positive effect on the wider health-care system, as timely patient releases will ensure emergency beds are available.

I found a local organizer who is also an occupational therapist AND mentioned helping ppl with ADHD on her website/profile so I scheduled myself for the free phone consult and I swear to God I am gonna hire an actual professional to help me lol.
Fingers crossed she's nice. I don't know how pricing for this usually goes? But the 30 min phone call is free, then there's a $75 one hour home tour and plan of attack. Then she does $75/hourly with a minimum of 4 hours, so $300 a session. I might have to space that out to afford it but my God I need the help and frankly this is the only way I can see to obtain it.

An occupational therapist for one of my kids was visiting today, and at one point she told me "County schools are hiring assistants right now, pay starts at $14 an hour." Then she looked at my TWO classroom assistants, who were staring at their feet and ignoring the five kids around them on the playground, then looked back at me and said, "I hate to poach, but.... you can do better!"

Hey, since I’ve already posted it in two Role play pages, might as well post it on my own!
I have a role play idea for the 2013 TV show Hannibal. It will of course be 18+ for canon typical violence and sexual content. It will be set about a month and some change after the series finale. This story is going to feature an original male character of my own. Name; Peris Montagule (Heritage, is vastly European, but his accent is mostly French), Age; 25, Occupation; complicated. Before he was born, his family overthrew a tyrannical government, and were VERY handsomely rewarded for it. However, said government, made a come back, and tried to have them all killed. Desperate, they used some of their money to buy an island from the American government, while also helping with funding for their then (1950’s) underfunded, federal bureau of investigations. They built their family home on the island, with many other homes, and shops, for the employees they ended up hiring for the maintenance of their own home. When Peris was only nine, while they were sitting down to their anniversary dinner, his parents suddenly became violently ill, and unfortunately never recovered. He became extremely paranoid at that point, convinced that the American government had something to do with their death. He very rarely leaves his home, and never leaves the island.
His connection to the story?
Peris has members of his own staff (trusted like family) implanted into the FBI. It has started as his desperate attempt to find out if he was right. Then he began hearing about a very fascinating empathic professor in the bureau, Will Graham, and his equally fascinating therapist, Hannibal Lecter. Peris became enthralled by the ups and downs of their story. He heard about the plan to use Hannibal as bait for the Red Dragon, and demanded his people be as close as possible, to help if something went wrong. The staff of course, saw the fall, and retrieved them both. Peris then hired an entire medical team just to nurse them back to health.
Hannibal (you) woke up a little more than a week after they’d been brought in. His mind in shock, he ends up becoming violent. After a few incidents with the staff, he ends up in restraints in a secluded room.
Will (me) wakes up a few days after that. Which, would be where the story would start.
Please interact, or message off you’re interested!

[cis female and she/her] Welcome to Aurora Bay, [ROMINA CORTEZ]! I couldn’t help but notice you look an awful lot like [MELISSA BARRERA]. You must be the [THIRTY-FIVE] year old [PR AGENT]. Word is you’re [ORGANIZED] but can also be a bit [IMPASSIVE] and your favorite song is [WORK BY RIHANNA]. I also heard you’ll be staying in [SEABROOK QUARTER].. I’m sure you’ll love it!
name: romina cortez
nickname: rom, romi, cortez
age: 35
gender: cis female
sexual orientation: bisexual
occupation: pr agent
residence: seabrook quarter
pregnancy, mentions of abortion tw: romi was unwanted from the very moment of her conception. her mother was on her way out of a relationship with someone who wasn't good for her mentally and emotionally when she found that that she was pregnant. instantly, she called the local clinic and booked an appointment without telling the father. firm on her decision, she showed up to the clinic only to be stopped by a group of people who managed to guilt her into considering her other options.
with every month that went on where she had to be with child, antonia dived further in misery. she was in a city on her own without a place to stay and when her friend's couches ran out, she relocated to a shelter. after watching many mother's with their children and the difficulties they lived with, it only reaffirmed that she was set on giving her kid something better: another family.
romi was a few days old when she was placed in the foster home that would go on to adopt her. a mixed family with enough children that silence came at a rare cost. with lack of discipline from her parents, romi often tried to put her foot down and parent her siblings due to craving some sort of stability around her. despite loving her family and its chaotic nature, she knew that she lacked something in her household.
at least it was what the therapist confirmed when she became an adult with anger issues. after so many people and partners telling her to speak to someone, she followed their advice and discovered enough about herself that she fired her therapist and walked away.
when a friend got engaged outside of high school, they booked a trip to vegas and celebrated as twent-one year olds would. it was on the last day there that she met a guy that made her extend her trip to spend with him. a few days later, they were married and high on love or lust - she still hasn't figured that one out.
the reality settled in when they had to leave and they annulled their marriage and went back to their own lives.
her first job was a personal assistant to a young designer who had no clue how to work social media. from then, she jumped from d lister to d lister until she found her current job.
not any bigger than previous ones apart from maybe being a c or b lister celebrity who constantly gets themself in trouble. the parents were the ones to hire her and ensure that they kept themself in a positive light after getting arrested a few too many times.
with her job going well for herself, she decided to ensure that her wealth was well death with by hiring a lawyer and after mentioning an annulled marriage, the news that it hadn't, in fact, been annulled hit her hard. with the news fresh in her mind, she took a flight to find the man she left behind a decade ago in order to give him the news.
specific connections:
vegas marriage: they both want it to end but just are keen on making the other miserable in the meantime
client: a teen or adult who is a celebrity but very bad at it and she's in charge of making sure they keep a good rep.
potential connections:
friends
drinking buddies
neighbours!!!
exes
one night stands
flings
enemies
work clients

➸ brief biography.
content warning: emotional abuse, mental health, disordered eating.
Cerise Odette 'Cherry' McDermott was born on February, 20th, 1984 in Cedar Key, Florida to her parents and adoptive older brother. She lived in Florida until she was six years old, moving to Chicago with her mother and brother after her parents' divorce. Growing up, her mother always doted on her and as she got older, her mother would confide in her about everything: her relationships, how horrible her father was, stressors in life, anything she could think of. Due to this, Cherry became more of a friend and therapist to her mother, carrying the weight of how she felt. Cherry and her father's relationship was also strained due to his constant nitpicking at her behavior, usually insulting or degrading her and making her feel unloved and unwanted. Throughout her early adolescence, Cherry went through serious mental highs and lows, which were later diagnosed to be mania and depression, a result of misdiagnosed and mistreated bipolar disorder. She also went through phases of binge eating and starvation.
After graduating high school, Cherry moved from Chicago to Las Vegas in search of adventure, work and to get away from her difficult past. Immediately, she was hired as a stripper at a club and began working there. Whilst working, she met her ex-boyfriend, a Sons of Silence member, and was quickly introduced to the gang. Cherry would regularly hang around the gang when she wasn't working and felt a real sense of community among the members. Due to the male attention she was getting and their relationship never being fully solidified, along with his jealousy, Cherry and her boyfriend were on-and-off for a year. During that year, she became a Siren for the club and that's when their relationship officially ended. Cherry worked as a stripper until she was twenty-three, moving back and forth between Vegas and Tonopah Valley, before deciding to settle down in Tonopah Valley for good, as she wanted to be closer to her fellow Sons Of Silence members and the gang as a whole. After leaving her job as a stripper, she was hired at The Outpost in Webster Village.
Currently, she continues to work as a bartender for The Outpost and remains extremely loyal to Sons Of Silence as a Siren.

NDIS Shared Living Melbourne
NDIS Shared Living Melbourne offers a range of options that simplify daily tasks, improve health and wellbeing, and promote social participation. This service is available to participants with disabilities who meet the NDIS eligibility criteria.
A recent article by Guardian Australia and La Trobe University highlights the lack of choice and control for many NDIS participants in housing and living supports. This is why we are calling for more flexible personalised budgets and longer plan durations to give participants greater choice and control.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) presents NDIS participants with accessible dwellings that reduce their need for person-to-person support services. It’s available to those who meet strict eligibility criteria, including extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.
These specialized homes feature improved liveability, robust construction, and full wheelchair accessibility. They can also include features such as backup power, ceiling hoists, and adapted kitchens.
If your needs change while residing in SDA, you can work with your support coordinator to reassess your accommodation and support services. This will help you secure a suitable living arrangement promptly.
To apply for SDA, first get a Housing Assessment Report from an occupational therapist. This comprehensive assessment takes 12 to 15 hours and will help you determine if you’re eligible for funding and the type of home that suits your needs. Once you have the necessary documentation, submit it to the NDIA via email or post with a completed Home and Living Supports Request Form.
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
SIL is an accommodation support service that offers participants a choice and control over their lives while receiving tailored support services. This support can be provided within your own home or shared with other NDIS participants in a community setting.
Individuals are given the option to live in a range of housing options, including group homes and private rentals. In addition, a concierge support worker can be hired to provide additional assistance with daily tasks.
The SIL model encourages participation in the community, which helps cultivate social networks and mental well-being. It also supports the development of independence, and enables individuals to explore recreational activities, pursue educational opportunities, and build confidence and skills. This is a great option for individuals with complex needs who are unable to live independently. However, it is important to note that SIL does not guarantee access to suitable housing. This is because the nature and intensity of support varies, depending on your individual needs and preferences.
Group Homes
If you require complex support services, the NDIS offers a variety of housing options to help. These include group homes, specialised disability accommodation, and home modifications. These arrangements enable participants to live a more independent life and make their own decisions in a supported community environment.
The housing arrangements provided by the NDIS can range from fully furnished flats to specialist facilities offering 24-hour care. These provide people with disabilities with a supportive environment while still giving them the privacy of their own homes.
The NDIS can also offer a variety of support services for the home and community, including personal care, equipment maintenance, physiotherapy, and more. These arrangements are meant to promote independence, improve safety, and foster a sense of belonging in the community. They are often offered through a community cooperative and are an alternative to residential care or shared housing. The NDIS should increase momentum toward these more ordinary home and living arrangements.
Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA)
Medium term accommodation ndis is a popular option for participants who are leaving home or transitioning through different life stages. It provides a break and respite from daily routine as well as a chance to learn new skills with the help of trained professionals.
You can choose to live in a residential house, apartment, or hotel and will receive tailored support services that suit your needs. Expenses like meals, personal care, and group or centre-based activities are covered by your NDIS plan, while other expenses (eg, utilities, internet charges) are shared with other residents.
You may be eligible for MTA if you are waiting to move into an accessible private rental property but need temporary housing with disability supports. This can also be an opportunity to try out a SIL or SDA provider and see whether it is right for you. MTA is not designed to address general housing instability or homelessness. Rather, it is intended to provide interim housing and disability supports that replicate your long-term home environment as closely as possible.

Btw since I posted this and it went viral, I hired a personal organizer to help me clean and organize my bedroom!! I just went to and did a local search.
And it was WORTH THE MONEY for six hours of help. She was awesome, I am so glad I did this, and honestly I really recommend hiring an organizer if:
You can afford it (prices can vary)
You've thought about it directly or indirectly (just wanting or needing help)
You don't know where to start
You think you need an expert or more adult-adult
You struggle with just sitting down and reading and then implementing everything on your own or aren't sure how to best set up your place.
(She was not adhd herself but she's an occupational therapist and had lots of other ADHD clients as a personal organizer.)
And you know?? SHE ALSO LOVES THIS BOOK. Actually these are our favorite cleaning/organizing books in addition to the above book:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
kc davis - how to keep house while drowning
Marie Kondo - the life changing magic of tidying up
Rachel Hoffman of Tumblr's own @unfuckyourhabitat — Unfuck Your Habitat (my organizer hadn't heard of this one but she's going to look into it).
I also introduced her to Kimberly Clark's How to Stop Shopping in 5 Easy Steps YouTube videos because they're great. She LOVED IT.
two more books which are like, uhh. Cleaning advanced. Cleaning 300 level. These are cleaning books that are like...if you want to learn how great-grandma cleaned something. Books that you don't sit down and read straight through but reference as needed. These are like "how do I remove this specific stain" and "intensive explanation of how to do laundry without ruining your clothes." (Most of the time I do everything in all one load. So.)
These are like, don't even look at these if you might get overwhelmed. But if you need some nitty gritty about one random, specific thing, this is what I look at:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook. ...Martha really does know her shit, okay.
Tumblr media
Cheryl Mendelson — Home Comforts: The Art and Science of Keeping House (this is massive, methodical, overwhelming, and also breaks everything into instructions.)
Anyways if you're ADHD hiring a personal organizer is awesome. I might save for another session sometime.
From the book Organizing Solutions for People with ADHD:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Putting a coat on the back of a chair by the door is fine, but if you prefer, use coat hooks and a large catch-all basket for dropping keys, hats, gloves.
Small bookcase end-table next to the couch to store craft projects, books, and other things being worked on for easy access.
Add a storage unit near the dining room table to transition between eating and working there.
Daily toiletry items should be stored in a basket that you can move easily
Extra toiletries and medicine cabinet items go in open shelf/basket storage so they can be seen and used easily. If items no longer fit, purge the excess. Don't obscure the view!
If you disrobe in the bathroom, place a tall hamper in there.
Keep a set of cleaning supplies in each bathroom

Lilith

How, in just five years’ time, did Jean Seberg transform from the gauche, unskilled teen of SAINT JOAN (1957) and BONJOUR TRISTESSE (1959) into the compelling, goddess-like presence of Robert Rossen’s LILITH (1964, Criterion Channel through month’s end)? From her statements, she would seem to give all credit to Rossen, possibly the most sympathetic director with whom she had worked to that time. The failure of her favorite film was heartbreaking for the actress. A lot of the blame for that, and quite deservedly, has fallen on Warren Beatty’s shoulders. But there are also basic problems with the material.
The film starts with Beatty’s arrival at a mental institution for wealthy schizophrenics. With no qualifications to speak of, he’s hired as an occupational therapist trainee. His ability to connect with Lilith (Seberg), who lives in her own private world, impresses his supervisors (Kim Hunter and James Patterson). Before long he’s allowed to take her on private outings, which leads to an affair. But who’s seducing whom? More important, why does nobody notice, particularly when he spends time in Lilith’s room with the door closed? There are hints Patterson, who runs the facility, is a poseur, but nothing definitive to explain why the relationship is ignored or noted and tolerated. Instead, the story ambles for a good while, though it moves into some admittedly fascinating territory — a small-town jousting festival and a nightmare marriage between Beatty’s former girlfriend (Jessica Walters) and her bumptious husband (Gene Hackman). Then, as you think you have a handle on where the relationship between Beatty and Seberg is headed, the script veers off in a totally different direction.
Did the knowledge that he was dying inspire Rossen to go beyond his usual realistic approach in search of something more metaphysical and even mythic? That might explain why at times the film seems to be trying to catch smoke in a fishing net. Rossen and cinematographer Eugen Shufftan fill the picture with dazzling images of nature that position Seberg as some kind of primordial force, not unlike her legendary namesake. She’s an absolute wonder in the role. Even when her lines make no sense, what she does with them does. But you may wonder what on earth Beatty’s done to deserve her. His performance seems misguided. It’s almost conceptual. He’s totally locked up within himself, only opening up to others as he falls under Lilith’s spell. The problem is that until that happens there’s no connection with anybody. It makes no sense that Hunter would hire somebody who seems as disturbed as some of her patients or that any of them would connect with him if the script didn’t require it. If this performance was his idea of realism, it fails in that as well. Rossen cast some non-professionals in small roles, most notably a lovely older woman (Lucy Smith) who plays Beatty’s grandmother. Her simple, natural line delivery shows up his mannered attempts to seem real.
The rest of the cast is mostly splendid. Hunter can generate reams of meaning with a glance, and Peter Fonda is surprisingly effective as an insecure patient fixated on Seberg. Anne Meacham also scores as a lesbian patient, Hackman is very funny, and Walters almost as exquisite as Seberg. Kenyon Hopkins created the jazz-based score, a perfect match to Schufftan’s visuals.
