☂ Past Hauntings ☂
Kat lived for Halloween, she loved everything dark and spooky and spent the full year waiting for it to come around. Her whole job was based around it, she thrived of it. When the invite to this party came through, she couldn’t wait. She planned her Maleficent costume down to the last detail and it was ready just in time for the party. The party was in full swing when Kat got there, she said hello to her friends and had a few drinks she was feeling slightly tipsy. Kat went outside for some air and felt the cool air breeze on her skin, it was nice. She sat by the pool and let her legs dangle in the water, it was nice. She spent a while looking at the moon and the night sky before she figured she better get back to the party. When she took her legs out of the water she stood up and cut herself on a small piece of glass. “Dammit.” She muttered, looking down and seeing a small trickle of blood, when she noticed the pool house she walked over to it, hoping to find a first aid kit. She opened the door and opened her eyes when she saw Tom sitting there. “Holy fuck!” She exclaimed, not expecting to see anyone.
Tom laid his head back against the backing of the sofa and closed his eyes just to rest for a moment before going back to the party. When he suddenly heard an outburst, his body jolted in surprise as Kat startled him by being startled by him. Opening his eyes quickly, he looked to see his ex entering the room. Of all the people here, he wasn’t expecting to run into her. Even though they were on fairly amicable terms, it was always an interesting experience to have a run in with your ex. “Oh, hey Kat. Sorry did I scare you?” he asked with a slight chuckle. “Well you immediately got revenge because I was also startled,” he added. Noticing the small trickle of blood, he looked at her with concern. “Are you alright? Did you get cut on something?”

☂ Past Hauntings ☂
@its-katdennings
When he had first gotten the invitation to the party, Tom didn’t think he was going to be able to make it. As a manager at the hotel, he worked most nights. Somehow, though, he had gotten lucky and had not gotten scheduled that night. Going out to parties wasn’t necessarily Tom’s thing, but who could resist the mystery behind all of this? Tom had gotten a Daredevil costume from the back of his closet that he had used a couple of years back at a costume party. Luckily, it still fit so it would be good enough.
Once he had gotten to the party, Tom had explored a bit, drank a bit, and socialized a bit. He had run into a few people that he recognized, but for the most part it was just natural conversations that had happened. It was a lot of energy to spend. Normally he had to put on a friendly customer service demeanor at night, but for the most party it was pretty slow, so it wasn’t something he had to keep on for long periods of time. Tom wasn’t sure how people dealt with doing the nightlife thing almost every night or weekend. Heading outside of a bit, he saw a pool and thought it might be a good place to sit and recoop. Since there were no outdoor chairs, he went to the pool house that was next to it and took a seat on the couch that was inside.

I wish — I do love to sing, but more of in, like, a karaoke way. No, I do photography though, which I like just as much — always have done. Anyway, I’d say you’re well deserving of a cup, ‘cause I can’t imagine that was a totally interesting answer. Especially when it comes to the high stakes of giving over your soul and all.
Hey, never underestimate the joy of a good karaoke night. Though it has been quite a while since I’ve done karaoke. Oh, photography! That’s wonderful! What sort? Landscape? Portraits? Nonsense, it was very interesting, but I will definitely take the cup.

I watched one called Spiders and it was just… bad. So bad. I loved it a little too much. Holy shit, are you serious? That must be so cool though. I take it is set at hotel?
Spiders...? That sounds... horrifying, actually. It is sort of set at a hotel, yes. Well... by sort of, I mean, it is. It’s more like a cover though. I highly recommend it.

Honestly, I am not big on tech so the phone sounds perfect to me. I phone my mam every night and we can talk for hours, it’s crazy. And we both always have a cup of tea, so you are for sure speaking my language.
Really? That seems very rare to find people like that as of late. By the time I learn about a new piece of tech that people are talking about, it’s apparently outdated. Well, you and your mam seem like very good people to know. I’m Tom.

What kind of gigs do you do? Is it musical thing? I would truly give my soul for a good cup of tea.
Gigs are getting fewer and farther between … which naturally means the amount of people I properly speak to in a day has mostly dwindled down to two, if you count my dog. Can I trade someone a cup of tea in exchange for adding to that count?

I’ve been having those days a lot recently. I’ve lost all concept of time and am somehow completely exhausted. Tea sounds right up what I need right now, though. I’ve been trying to keep my mind sane by talking to people on the phone, but it seems no one likes to talk on the phone anymore.
I’ve done nothing all day, nothing. Like, I couldn’t even tell what I’ve watched on TV. I don’t know what happened. I woke up, made tea, and before I knew, I was getting ready for bed. Do you ever have one of those days? And why do they make you so tired, I’ve been resting!

B Rate movies? What is the best/worst one you’ve seen so far? Ah, I don’t know if I can recommend anything good. If you’re into mini series, The Night Manager is very good. Though it seems like a more dramatic version of my life.
I’ve got into this habit of watching really bad movies. This channel like exclusively shows b rate movies and its hilarious. I can’t cope. I actually have found myself looking for bad movies. Does anyone have any good recommendations for me before I lose myself to the bad movies for good?

&& an unsent letter to my future spouse

This seems silly to write, but it’s the middle of the night shift and no one has come in or out of the lobby in two hours. I’ve already caught up on my work. I saw someone do this one time, and I thought that maybe I would try it. So...
Dear you,
Whoever you maybe in the future. I don’t have any romantic prospects right now, really. I don’t know who you are. You could be female or male. Maybe I know you now, maybe I haven’t even met you.
How are you?
I know that’s a silly question. You can’t answer me. I hope that I’m treating you well and that I’m making you happy. I can’t imagine that I wouldn’t be. I really don’t know what to say in this since I don’t know who you are. I hope you’re there in the future.
Whoever you are...
I love you. I’m glad I met you.
with love, always,
Tom Hiddleston
