EDS HIP PAIN/HOW MANY PILLOWS DO I NEED
My beloved EDS friends, I come to you to ask for your wisdom. I’m a side sleeper and the pain I get in my hips from it is unbearable. I recently bought a J-shaped pregnancy pillow that I sort of scrunch into a spiral/circle with a little gap for my hip so that the weight is distributed onto my thighs and torso and it is glorious. I’ve never woken up with less pain.
The problem is that I actually love the feeling of laying inside it for the front and back support (until the hip pain kicks in) so I really would like to use it as it’s meant to be used, which means I would have to get something to replace its current function as hip protection. But there are no pregnancy pillows in the right shape and the only donut-shaped ones are tiny and meant for your ears. Do I get another fancy and expensive pillow and use one correctly and abuse the other into a spiral hip cushion because that doesn’t seem super efficient.
If anyone has some pearls of advice, the perfect donut cushion, or anything else to offer, I would be ever so grateful.

Hip Pain Relief Through Regenerative Medicine: A Non-Surgical Breakthrough
Hip pain, often a result of arthritis and joint discomfort, can severely impact one's quality of life. Conventional treatments provide temporary relief, but the emergence of advanced non-surgical options, powered by regenerative therapies like stem cells and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), offers renewed hope for long-lasting relief.
Traditional approaches to hip pain management usually involve pain medications and physical therapy. However, the paradigm is shifting with the advent of regenerative medicine. Stem cell therapy, a frontrunner in non-surgical hip pain solutions, harnesses the power of a patient's own stem cells to initiate tissue repair and regeneration within the affected hip joint. By addressing the root causes of hip pain, stem cell therapy offers the potential for sustained relief.
Complementing this approach is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, which taps into the body's natural healing abilities by utilizing growth factors found in the patient's blood. These growth factors trigger the body's innate healing processes, promoting tissue rejuvenation and reducing inflammation. Administered through minimally invasive injections, these therapies provide precision in addressing hip pain, offering an alternative to traditional surgical interventions.
One of the primary advantages of advanced non-surgical treatments is their ability to mitigate risks and complications associated with surgery. Patients can experience shorter recovery times, less post-procedural discomfort, and minimal scarring, making these therapies an appealing choice for those seeking relief from hip pain without the extended downtime often associated with surgical procedures.
As regenerative medicine continues to advance, advanced non-surgical hip pain treatments stand at the forefront of innovation. For individuals struggling with arthritis-related hip discomfort, these therapies offer a holistic approach, targeting the underlying causes to enhance hip function, improve mobility, and elevate their overall quality of life.

What are the Different Types and Treatments of Arthritis?
Leading a beautiful life doesn’t come without challenges. Our body goes through a lot of stress and grind in the process and there comes a stage when it needs more attention and care than ever before.
The Best Orthopedic Doctor in Bangalore at United Hospital explains that the wear and tear, our body is subjected to, leads to pain in the ankles and knees. Sometimes, it can get pretty hard to walk!
Are we welcoming Arthritis in this case?! Well, in the worst case, unfortunately, we may be. However, experts indicate that there is no need to panic. With rapid advancements in medical science, there is not just hope, but more confidence that we can defeat Arthritis.
It is all about being aware of what Arthritis exactly is and taking precautions at the right time that could be the best beginning to arrive at a successful solution.
Understanding Arthritis?
Experts at United Hospital, a dedicated Orthopedic Centre in Bangalore focusing on Arthritis care, explain that Arthritis is a medical condition involving swelling and tenderness of one or more joints. It may worsen with age and is a prevalent cause of discomfort among senior citizens
Types of Arthritis
Arthritis can affect individuals of any age, but the elderly are more vulnerable.
Some of the common forms of Arthritis are:
Osteoarthritis - It is a condition that affects joints in your Hands, Knees, Hips and Spine.
Psoriatic Arthritis - This a condition that develops in people due to a very challenging skin disease called Psoriasis.
Reactive Arthritis – This causes joint pain and swelling triggered by an infection in prominent parts of your body — most often your intestines, genitals or urinary tract.
Rheumatoid Arthritis – This is a chronic inflammatory disorder which can affect more than just joints including premier organs like lungs, heart, eyes and blood vessels.
Some of the other conditions faced notably by the elderly include Ankylosing Spondylitis.
Symptoms of Arthritis
The most common signs and symptoms of arthritis involve the joints. Hence, it is important to seek an expert opinion if you observe one or more of the following symptoms:
Pain in the joints.
Stiffness felt in the joints.
Swelling observed in or around the joints.
Redness observed in the joints.
Difficulty in moving.
Treatment for Arthritis
Arthritis, if untreated, can be a really painful thing to handle. However, what really matters is the right type of medical attention at the right time and from the right source. Your treatment is based on how severe is your condition and can include:
Medications
Depending upon the type of Arthritis diagnosed, your medications may include:
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Creams and Ointments.
Steroids
Physical therapies and exercises.
Surgical Interventions
In case you do not get any relief from the above medications your doctor might recommend surgical interventions to bring you back to your routine lifestyles in quick time. Some of the types of surgeries performed include,
Joint Repairs
Joint Replacements
Joint fusions
Let’s say Goodbye to Arthritis forever and welcome a painless life. For many of us, life may begin at 40, but so does Arthritis! Hence, if you are wondering as to, “Which is the Best Orthopaedic Clinic near me to treat Arthritis”? feel free to connect with United Hospital.

Every day I fantasize about what it'd be like having a wheelchair, and then my brain goes "But you can walk???" And then I go "You're so right, what am I thinking." despite being very aware that ambulatory wheelchair users exist.
#probably don't need a wheelchair anytime soon#but sometimes i'll sit in the one at my job and roll around the office and marvel at how much easier it is to move around#no hip popping#no knee popping or immense pain or (likely) subluxations#easier to handle my random heart palpitations#back support for my spine and ribs that never want to work properly#the relief from just being able to sit down but also being able to move around is so nice#like i know it comes with it's own slew of problems ebcause of the pressuer on your arms and the lack of accomodations in the world#but omg if i could use a wheelchair most days i would

Had a really nice afternoon with my sister yesterday at the fair, doing our ages old program of Wilde Maus, crepe with Nutella and a shitty game for a cheap price. We walked another round just because the weather went from cloudy to beautifully sunny.
#txt#back when she was in school we'd go almost every week on family day just to ride the roller coaster#she's only visiting mom for this weekend so I'm glad i got to spend some time with her even if it was short!#also i was worried working after this would mess with my hip/nerve pain but i think I've recovered enough and stretched enough#that it's finally gotten better!! what a massive relief!!
