Mandalorians paint their statues just like Hindus do. You can't tell me a culture for which paint and armor are this full of meaning and importance, have blank, unpainted statues. Especially since I believe they mostly only represent ancestors (including historical figures obviously) and the Ka'ra (past mand'alors), so they wouldn't let them with unpainted armor.
I think the difference with Hindu tradition would be that they wouldn't adorn the statues with added jewelery, clothes... Because that would have been translated by adding armor to a statue in a kute, however armors are too important to be simply exposed like that. Maybe added cape and weapons, that sort of things though ? But mostly the only addition made continually, that wasn't a direct part of the creation of the statue, would be paint, I think.

Is there any myth that says that goddesses menstruate??
I was thinking about Calypso now and how crazy it would be if she had never experienced menstruation before
Congratulations, you are a human who bleeds monthly 🎉👹

The "sequel" to The Beetle is The Goddess. The main guy Ferguson is basically Sydney always ready to throw hands with everyone.
The entire plot is the Born Sexy Yesterday trope because he falls in love with a beautiful, childlike amnesiac woman.
Oh trust me I have read it LMAO well, skimmed it because I value my emotional stability.
There is also The Joss, which is about yet another "oriental" entity trying to destroy England. Richard Marsh basically wrote the same book three times and The Beetle is inexplicably the most competent of them.
