I’ll add with this some stuff I remember being on the tapes that I could recite by heart because it was watched so much.
On the Iron Giant tape, there were the commercials and promotional videos that would play for other movies. So I always saw this collection of promos before the movie.
youtube
When the Bug Bunny one ended, I knew the movie was about to start, and I’d always be so excited haha. But not before seeing a little promo for the soundtrack of the movie right here! Awesome soundtrack by the way.

Next is The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. I mainly wanted to draw attention to the first clip that’s shown. They would have little segments play in between the episodes and I loved the sound of the chalk writing to spell Pooh’s name, and little song that played. I also remember there being this song on the tape that I haven’t heard in a while so I actually cried listening to it. 😭

So before anime my first love had always been cartoons, I only recently watched Hey Arnold! recently (I blame betaruga's art I've been sucked in ever since) and its been a hyperfixation for months now. I wanted to make a comic based on one of my fave fics of Shortaki.
I wanted to show my appreciation via this project, which has been fun and challenging so far (tell ya what my environment and angling of panels have never looked as good lmao). And I have fallen in love with pencil textures.
Here's the fic made by Reinamy (I love everything you've written!): https://archiveofourown.org/works/6896269/chapters/15734773#workskin
I never told @reinamycloud about doing this but I hope they like it anyway. I'm planning to eventually make the other chapters as well but it will take time cuz I'm going back to school.
P.S. Idk who Trevor is, so I just made up his face lmao.

*deep sigh*
So a while ago I suggested that maybe after the Animaniacs reboot we'd get a new Pinky and the Brain movie.
And you know what?
Tumblr media
WE ALMOST DID!!!!
According to Maurice LaMarche, a new Pinky and the Brain movie was in development, but it "went the same way as the coyote", an obvious reference to what happened to Coyote Vs Acme.
Did it become a tax write-off?
I don't think so. He specifically says "they killed it" and goes on to say "maybe it will be in development again", so what I think happened is that new management took over and the movie was scrapped, not written-off.
This seems to be that potential movie the VAs were hinting at in interviews they did to advertise season 3 of the reboot, such as the one featured in this article:
Or the one featured in this article:
Although that's just speculation, they could've just been hoping for a movie, although it does seem like the movie was in development at around the same time the reboot was coming to an end. And if that's the case, I have to assume it was going to provide a conclusion to Julia's arc...

Damn.

Nickelodeon Rebrand Promos (Part 1)
DJ Blue:
It starts off showing the currently-static television, right before the camera immediately zoomed in on it.
It then cuts to the world of Gabba Land, where in the a massive party was behind held.
Just about everyone in the Nickelodeon Universe was there, and they were all dancing to the classic hit, “Turtle Power”, which was being sung from a huge stage at the center of the land by DJ Lance Rock and 1987 Michelangelo, with Movie Sonic the Hedgehog playing on a turntable.
The crowd were all doing the famous dance moves of the song, with one notable stand-out among them being Rugrats Chuckie Finster, who was dancing on a small pedestal.
But as things were going as planned, Sonic's eyes suddenly widened as it cuts to a montage of action scenes from the Sonic the Hedgehog film trilogy, with the recording mixing sounding noticeably faster than before.
It cuts back to party, where Sonic was Dj’ing faster than he was earlier. Hell, he was playing the discs with his feet.
Lance and Michelangelo had stopped singing and were just looking at Sonic with confused looks on their faces.
And everyone else had stopped dancing, looking on with confused looks as well…..expect for Chuckie, who was still dancing, but had picked up the pace in order to keep with the music.
This eventually accumulated in him losing his balance and falling off the pedestal, much to everyone’s surprise.
But just then, Lance reached over to the turntable and got Sonic to stop. Sonic immediately looked up and saw Lance.
”Man stay off the light-speed!” Lance shouted.
”My bad!” Sonic casually responded.
Sonic the Hedgehog, only on Nickelodeon and Nicktoons Network!
Bad Milkshakes:
It starts off showing the currently-static television, right before the camera immediately zoomed in on it.
It then cuts to the world of Bikini Bottom, where it was currently nighttime, and it zooms into Goofy Goober’s Ice Cream Party Boat, where many of the Nick characters were enjoying a night out.
Some scenes that took place included SpongeBob, Patrick, Wanda, Rugrats Angelica, and Harold having a few too many rounds of Triple Gooberberry Sunrises, all while their waiter/bartender looked utterly done.
Gen 1 Heath Burns and Abbey Bominable were sharing a milkshake, only for it to suddenly catch flames, much to their shock.
And Heffer and Twist were both dancing on stage with Goofy Goober himself, singing the Goofy Goober theme song.
It then pans over to a table consisting of Fanboy and Chum Chum, Otis, Tak and Bessie Higgenbottom.
Fanboy and Chum Chum were surrounded by several empty glass cups and drinking some milkshakes, looking rather drunk.
"We can't take it anymore! In spite of our newfound cult status, Nickelodeon STILL won't even mention us!" Fanboy drunkenly shouted.
"We can't even get so much as a stinkin' Easter egg!" Chum Chum shouted, also drunkenly.
"Dude, our shows aren't mentioned my Nickelodeon either but you don't see us complaining." Otis stated, looking somewhat annoyed.
"You're saying that now, but just wait. Given the cult statuses you guys have gotten, it's only a matter of time before Nick starts referencing you guys again! Just look at the Tigre guy! He went about 15 years years not being referenced at all. But now, he's a playable character in All-Star Brawl 2 and he's even got his own friggin' art book!" Fanboy explained.
"Okay.....but why do you guys think you'll never be mentioned?" Bessie asked.
"Because we're unfortunately a reminder of one of this company's greatest mistakes!" Chum Chum answered.
"Which one?" Tak asked.
"Oh I don't know......maybe the fact that I'm not a teenager with a stupid white hat and constantly simps for a broad made of bubblegum, and Chum Chum's not a bum-ass dog with Mister Fantastic-ass powers!" Fanboy shouted.
But when he raised his arms, his milkshake was sent flying out his hands.
Over at a nearby table was Tenzin, Helga, Sonic X Knuckles, and Animated Prowl, who were all looking rather annoyed.
But suddenly, the milkshake that flew out of Fanboy's hand landed atop of Tenzin's head, prompting his head to start turning red with anger.
"That's it, I've had enough of this non-sense!" Tenzin snapped as he instantly got out of chair.
And so did the others.
Soon enough, the four walked over to the table that Fanboy and Chum Chum were at and started manhandling the duo.
"Hey get your hands off of us!" Chum Chum shouted, desperately trying to free himself.
Fanboy and Chum Chum, only on Nicktoons Network!
Fanboy and Chum Chum were being dragged out of the restaurant by Tenzin and his group, while everyone just looked on in shock.
"It looks the super duo had some bad milkshakes." Otis quipped, all while Tak nodded in agreement.
Let's Not Go to The Lobby:
It starts off showing the currently-static television, right before the camera immediately zoomed in on it.
It then cuts to the world of the Rugrats, past Eucaipah, where over at the local drive-in theater, all the Nick characters had gathered to see the trailer for the upcoming Smurfs movie.
Once the trailer finished, Papa Smurf got up on top of the screen.
"So.....what did you guys think about the trailer for our upcoming movie this summer?" he asked out of genuine curiosity.
An awkward silence filled the area as everyone looked towards him with angry glares.
"Uhhhh......That sucked." Butthead stated.
Soon enough, everyone started booing Papa Smurf, leaving him in utter disbelief.
The Smurfs, only on Nickelodeon!
Outside the theater, Papa Smurf was with the rest of his family.
"That's it, no more Smurfs movies!" Papa Smurf angrily declared.
