Amphibia Warriors AU: Revenge

Heronstrike sat with her back to her leader, facing the clan gathered in front of her. She met each cat’s gaze evenly, from apprentice to elder. She knew they were uncertain of Toadstar appointing her deputy. Born an outsider, one who was rather young with no apprentice, Heronstrike knew that her appointment was not popular and very much against the warrior code.

Ignoring the many scrutinizing stares, she kept in mind what Toadstar had told her.

“With Crowwing gone and the majority of my senior warriors nearing retirement, it is only proper that I appoint a deputy who is young and has…a certain proclivity for battle. You are the one.”

She had not much time to ponder what that had meant, for the attack on ThunderClan had taken place not moments later. Heronstrike dug her claws into the earth below her, still feeling the sting of that wretched wound below her eye. She leaped to her paws, facing her clan.

“Cats of ShadowClan,” she yowled. The others jumped at her call, but stopped to listen, eyes narrowed in suspicion. “We shall not let ThunderClan deem us cowards. We lost that battle because we had a traitor in our midst. That traitor is no more, and at this moment, we possess the advantage.”

Heronstrike tipped her head back in a screech, the excited ShadowClan warriors now joining her. “ThunderClan will fall! On my honor if nothing else!”

Anne is also a warrior in the same clan, and a friend of marcy and sasha (I haven't decided on anne's warrior name but Marcy is Softpounce and Sasha is Heronstrike) and she is suspicious of the two but she doesn't actually know.

Heronstrike (sasha) teaches Softpounce (marcy) a few battle techniques so she can defend herself, though if anyone comes close to Softpounce in battle Heronstrike will rush over and defend her.

Heronstrike is a very reckless fighter, so Softpounce usually has to tend to her wounds.

Sometimes Heronstrike will fake having a thorn in her nest to spend time in the medicine den

Heronstrike helps Softpounce around with her job (sometimes helping gather herbs and such) and Softpounce will try to teach her a thing or two considering she's in the medicine den so often, but Heronstrike still knows nothing about herbs

Grime was Heronstrike's mentor (also have not given grime a warrior name yet </3)

Overwhelmed by Heronstrike's vengeful attack, Stonestep called for a retreat; though LeafClan ultimately lost the battle for Tadpole Pools, Dawnstar lost a life to Stonestep. If I ever commit to drawing that comic about my Riverclan OCs I’ve been thinking about, it will contain this scene where Scaleclaw asks her adoptive father, Heronstrike, if he thinks her biological parents in Starclan feel close to her when she stands in the water amongst the stars’ reflections.

At the edge of Riverclan camp, Heronstrike and Swankit play. He’s not Swankit’s father, just a big softie who likes to entertain the kits.

I’m working on a story about my Riverclan ocs, so I’ll probably be making lots of art about them.

Heronstrike!

Big, strong, husky powerhouse. Heronstrike strikes fear into the hearts of her opponents, and can take down most cats in battle. Her thick fur makes it difficult to handle the heat and thickets of hunting, however. She is quick to anger, and somewhat foolish. She is also not very loyal, but her influence makes her an invaluable ally.
