shadowsight should have died and dovewing should have gotten the grief plotline and it should have involved her reconnecting with the guardians while revisiting shadowsight's birthplace in the spire and "you haven't lost me, i'm everywhere if you look for me" should have been shadowsight's phantasm saying it to her and i should have been able to make posts comparing it to lake mungo

i was gonna say warrior cats musical when but i know in my heart some tenacious young drama student has already put a once in a lifetime musical adaptation of warrior cats for some niche competition and we'll never get to see it. the world is so full of light and yet so cold.

before we entered the post-firestar/working partners era of warrior cats the fandom always complained about how the series was only centered around firestar and his bloodline but when you really sit down and try to think about what it is that's truly ailing the modern arcs you just find reason after reason why suddenly removing the central throughline of a story and forgoing any and all connective tissue between plot arcs to instead present a world that just episodically rotates from one isolated chaotic event to the next without any sense of direction might have been like. a bad idea. or something
