---Hermitopia--- SMPs contained: Hermitcraft, Empires SMP, Traffic Games Hero System/classifications: Hero, Light Vigilante, Dark Vigilante, Villain Ranking Info: Hero - Someone employed by the government, a hero's job is to fight crime and take down villains Light Vigilante - Someone who is not employed by the government but still fights crime and tracks down villains Dark Vigilante - Someone who is not employed by the government, is antagonistic to the heroes and/or sympathizes with the villains yet still keeps the city safe Villain - Someone who is antagonistic to the heroes and does not keep the city safe Other Info: Hermitopia is the only city in the area that uses the light/dark vigilante system, and once in use many 'villains' were reclassified as dark vigilantes

---Lifesteal City--- SMPs contained: Lifesteal, Rats SMP Hero System/classifications: Vigilante Ranking Info: Since there is no hero/villain system in place, everyone is classified as vigilantes. There are two distinct groups, listed below: ---LifeSteal: A group of vigilantes that are very defensive over their city. There is often infighting, however that is often quickly solved and everyone is back to normal within a few months. Codenames/masks are not always in use, and most of the group do not care if the city knows who they are ---The RATS: A small group of vigilantes that are mostly passive, staying hidden in a secret hideout in an unknown location. They all have rat themed get up, but rarely hide their faces. Other Info: This city is fairly new to the hero/villain system, and as such as not put once in place. It is unknown if a system will be put in place or not (due to LifeSteal's members often changing sides or everybody being in a middle ground).

---YHS Island--- SMPs contained: YHS (if that counts) Hero System/classifications: None Ranking Info: None Other Info: A small island used to keep orphaned or abandoned children until adulthood. There is no hero/villain system in place.

---Other SMPs--- EVO: The first experiment by the WATCHERS. Was created as a test for potential heroes. Five passed the test, although only two went on to become heroes. Other details classified --- Outsiders: The second experiment by the WATCHERS. A group of heroes in training were put into a test, those who passed would become full heroes. The project shut down after a group of subjects went rogue and attacked a staff member in their escape. Other details classified --- EchoCraft: A small town around an hour away from Lifesteal City, not big enough to have a hero/villain system in place

Hermitopia Cowboy AU

It was dusty and hot, but that didn't deter Grian as he arrived in the lawless town of Hermitopia. He grabbed his bag and got out of the train. He took in the wooden buildings, horses tied to hitching posts, and tumble weeds crossing the dirt roads.

“Great, you’ve arrived.” There was a haggard looking train attendant on the platform to greet him. “Next train is tomorrow. Here are the keys to the office, the station and your room above the station. Good luck.” The man grabbed his own luggage from the platform and got on the train Grian had just departed.

“Wait, aren't you supposed to show me the ropes.” Grian tried to grab the other man before he got on the train, but the man yanked his arm away. He wasn't expecting to get thrown to the wolves moments after arriving. 

“No way, no how. I’m outta this dump.” The train door closed and cut Grian off from throttling the man. 

The train whistle sounded and the engine started to chug away down the line.

“Well, that sucks.” He didn't stay to watch, but grabbed his bag again and looked at the decrepit station in a new light. He was only stationed here for a year, hopefully. He’d have to get used to this place on his own.

Climbing the stairs he pulled out the key to his room. The door opened to reveal a small bed,  a 3 drawer dresser with one broken handle, and a small table with one chair.

There wasn't a huge build up of dust or dirt but he was disappointed that there wasn't a bathroom, only a chamberpot. “Yuck. Maybe my father was right, and I am a bit spoiled.” He emptied his meager belongings into the dresser and went to find himself a good meal.

“Cow-ooo, there you are, you silly thing.”

Grian spotted his first resident. A tall man, in a cowboy hat, with a green shawl wrapped over his shoulder, decorated with sunflowers. 

He surmised that the man’s horse had pulled free from one of the hitching posts and wandered away.

“Hello.” Grian called out in a friendly manner.

The taller man whipped around, startled. “Ahh, you can't sneak up on a man like that.” He had the most stunning green eyes Grian had ever seen, but as distracting as they were, his own eyes were drawn to the man’s open shirt and the large scar across his chest.

“Hey, you must be our new train station man. Welcome to Hermitopia. My name's Scar.” He holds his hand out for Grian to shake. His hand is quite strong, and Grian can feel himself smiling. 

Maybe this year won't be so bad.

ykyk THE VERY FIRST VERSION of double life scarian being all sexy, "you can be the match and i can be the fuse, boom" moment and I. WAS. OBSESSED. even more so now when you dropped the REMAKE of it LIKE- DHFSJFHS?!?! something something, your previous style looked kind of round-ish before (not the best explanation I KNOW)? but now the lines are DEFINED and grian, scar, pearl and everyone you drew in your style got HOTTER AND CUTER. I will make out with your scar design and marry your grian design ty and farewell

Breaking news! 

The famous hero, HotGuy, has been pronounced dead after an explosion that shook half of the town.

We have a word that CuteGuy survived the explosion, but no further information has yet been revealed on his state. What exactly happened is still yet to be determined. The prime suspects at this time are the villain duo: Martyn Littlewood and Ren Dog. If you see these individuals, please contact the authorities immediately. 

 We will all miss HotGuy. The local hero has saved countless lives and will surely live on in our hearts. And we wish CuteGuy a speedy recovery.

Part Two of: Show Your Fangs

A superhero AU is Hermitcraft/Empires SMP/The Life Series

Scar had always, for the short time that he had it, enjoyed working as a superhero and protecting the citizens of Hermitopia, Empires City, and Lifetropolis from harm but recently things had gotten strange. He wouldn't necessarily say that it was in a bad way but The GFHA had only been started to combat regular crimes and take a toll off of the police. However soon after it had formed more and more antiheroes, vigilanties, and supervillains started to emerge. Just a month ago the first villain duo emerged calling themselves “The Dogwarts Duo” and the chaos continued as another villain emerged and declared that she was “The Faker”.

That is what had brought him, as Hotguy of course, to his current situation, with him staring down the dog hybrid known as “The Red King”, while bleeding from his leg and help being nowhere to be found. It would have been quite an interesting scene if he wasn’t the one in it, but of course he was. He was standing off with The Red King, a dog hybrid with brown hair wearing a golden crown and a red cape with white mountains maybe,  and The Red Hand, he couldn’t quite place what he was as his entire appearance was quite confusing as he had large bat wings but ice crystals growing all over his body and he was wearing a blindfold over his eyes with the same pattern as The Red King’s cape. There are quite a lot of confusing things about the duo but one thing was certain trapped in The Hand’s grasp is a young llama hybrid (who can’t be any more than ten) with the edge of an axe ever so gently pressed against their throat and in Hotguy’s hands there is a high tech bow nocked with an arrow with which he could easily shoot down The Hand and King in quick succession. There was just one thing if Scar shot The Hand in the head he would likely fall backwards killing the llama hybrid but if he shot him in the hand he would likely jolt forward and drop the axe at the same time, depending on the timing however the kid’s neck could get hit with the blade of the axe. There is really no solution, in his ear he hears a voice, “Hotguy, come in Hotguy.”

“Yeah? What is it?”

“Hurry up and shoot him. Cut your losses. One random kid’s death won’t end the world.”

“But I-”

“Hurry up an-”

The stern voice of the GFHA’s director is cut off as he hears a new one; it's familiar but he can’t quite place it.

“Thanks for breaking into the comms for me buttercup! Oh wait he can hear me already- hey there pretty boy. You seem to be in quite the pickle down there, need some help?”

“What the- who are you!?!” Hotguy replies. 

“Right where are my manners, the name’s Cuteguy! Now do you want help or not?”

On the roof of an apartment building stands an avian with dirty blond hair and a pair of black and yellow wings on both his back and where his ears would be, ink is dripping down his face. He wears a black tank top with a red and pink heart in the middle over it there’s a bright pink jacket with the same symbol and yellow tie dye patches, there is red ribbon functioning as a belt around his light pink shorts and later being used again to decorate his boots darker boots along with mini black wings on the ankles. Next to him is a red headed zombie in a simple pink crop top and shorts with a fluffy white headband, wristbands, and belt equipped with a pink leather pouch and a golden clock, on her head is a large white witch hat with a pink underside. She lifts up her head from viewing the scene below them and looks at him with a puzzled look on her face.

“Okay so as we just saw The Dogwarts Duo is here today, but how did you know that they would be?” She inquires.

“Oh, you know Cleo, I have good ways to get information.” He answers, it’s not like she’ll ever learn that they’re just chickens.

“Okay then, don’t tell me,” Cleo responds as she turns to face a pale man in a suit,”Are we almost into the system Mumbo?”

“Just about,” Mumbo claims,”so I would suggest that you two stop using our real names now as what we are doing is very illegal.”

“Aw you’re such a buzzkill,” he teases,”Anyways thanks for breaking into comms for me buttercup! Oh wait he can hear me already- hey there pretty boy. You seem to be in quite the pickle down there, need some help?”

“What the- who are you!?!” Hotguy asks. 

“Right where are my manners, the name’s Cuteguy! Now do you want help or not?”

“Uhm… sure I guess but I don’t even know where you are.”

“I can see you from where I am so there’s n-” Cuteguy starts to inform him before being cut off by The Red King.

“Oi! You have exactly ten seconds to drop the bow or the kid gets it.” He yells.

The Red Hand starts to count down, “Ten.”

“Well my undead friend.” Cuteguy says to Cleo.

“Nine.”

“Care to work some of that time magic for us?”

“Eight.”

“Uhm… Guys! What should I do?” Hotguy Panics.

“Seven.”

“I thought you’d never ask.” Cleo responds.

“Six.”

“Should I just put the bow down?”

“Cast it on go.”

“Five.”

“Three, Two.”

“I’m just gonna drop the bow.”

“Four.”

“I’m about to drop it.”

“One.”

“Three.”

“Go!”

As she speaks her eyes blaze bright and time slows down, for everyone except the people she didn’t freeze, that is, those people being Hotguy, Cuteguy, Mumbo, the little kid, and her of course. 

“Hotguy,” Cuteguy yells while flying down from the roof,”you get the kid. I’ll take care of these two.” He says while gesturing at The Dogwarts Duo.

“On it!”

“Hurry up you two I can’t hold this time freeze forever,” Cleo yells,”!¡ꖎᒷᔑᓭᒷ ᓭℸ ̣ ᔑ|| ⎓∷𝙹⨅ᒷリ”

Hotguy runs over to The, now frozen, Dogwarts Duo and carefully moves away The Red Hand’s arms and Axe, after doing this he picks up the crying llama hybrid in his arms. Meanwhile Cuteguy lands on The Red King and tries to figure out what to do with the two of them, he could always just turn them in but where’s the fun in that. Maybe he should just tie them up and toss them in a dumpster in some random alley way. He’s about to ask Cleo for her opinion when he sees Hotguy comforting the kid that they saved.

“Shh. It’s okay, I’m here for you,” he says,”Now can you tell me your name?”

“I- I’m P-P- Pizza.” sniffles the kid.

It’s pretty sweet to see such a touching scene but as he looks back over at Cleo he can tell that she is struggling. He’s about to call out to her when the light in her eyes starts to flicker and fade. Normally this would be fine but he still hasn’t done anything with The Dogwarts Duo and Cleo looks like she’s gonna burst a blood vessel if she doesn't stop soon.

“!¡ꖎᒷᔑᓭᒷ ⎓ᔑℸ ̣ ᒷᓭ, ╎'ᒲ ʖᒷ⊣⊣╎リ⊣ ⋮⚍ᓭℸ ̣  ꖎᒷℸ ̣  ᒲᒷ ꖌᒷᒷ!¡ ⊣𝙹╎リ⊣ ᔑ ꖎ╎ℸ ̣ ℸ ̣ ꖎᒷ ꖎ𝙹リ⊣ᒷ∷,” Cleo casts desperately,”Guys I can’t hold it any longer!”

“Please try, I still have to do something with these two.” he replies.

“I can’t, the fates won’t allow it, in fact they’re not too fond of time magic in the first place. 𝙹リᒷ ᒲ𝙹∷ᒷ ᒲ╎リ⚍ℸ ̣ ᒷ, !¡ꖎᒷᔑᓭᒷ. I can only hold it for another minute, knock those two out and put them in an alleyway or something.”

“Okay!” he yells back.

Cuteguy goes over to the side of the street and grabs two sizable pieces of debris, he then flies back over and drops one on each of the duo’s heads. He then picks them both up and flies them over to a dumpster just as he had originally planned. He then flies back up to the roof, “well team ready to bounce?”

“╎ℸ ̣ 'ᓭ 𝙹⍊ᒷ∷.” Cleo says ending the spell, “Yep, let’s go.”

“I’m ready, this has all been quite an awful ordinal.” Mumbo adds.

“Okay then, bye Hotguy! See you soon.” Cuteguy calls in a singsong voice, and with that the three of them headout to get some rest as Hotguy returns Pizza to his family and goes to fill out a report.

As just as Grian got home his phone started chiming, he takes it out of his bag and sees that the person calling him is his roommate, Scar. Knowing Scar he probably needs a ride back from whatever client he was meeting with for a landscaping job, so Grian answers in a singsong voice,“Hello, Scar!”

“Hey, G. I was just wondering if you saw the news today?” Scar inquires.

“Nope, I haven’t seen it yet,” he replies but he does know what happened, as he lived it,”Did something interesting happen?”

“Yeah, so you know who Hotguy is right? Well he was fighting the Dogwarts Duo and they kinda ended up in a stalemate when they threatened a kid.” Scar explains.

“Oh… that’s awful.” Grian replies trying to sound surprised.

“I know,” Scar says,”but then some new vigilante hacked into the GFHA’s comm system and said that his name was Cuteguy. Then some random timewitch froze time for everyone except him, Hotguy, and the kid.”

“Wait what?”

“Yeah it shocked me to hear that too, according to Hotguy, the spell wore down really quick so Cuteguy just knocked the duo out and threw them in some dumpster.”

“So they’re still a threat?” Grian questions Scar.

“I mean I guess but they were both knocked out so it’s likely that they’ll turn up again any time soon.”

“I guess so.” He replies.

“Anyways,” says Scar,”I was wondering your opinion on the vigilantes that have been popping up.”

Oh no, Grian was not expecting Scar to ask that. How was he supposed to sound convincing when he is one of them, along with the fact that he has no idea what Scar’s perspective on it is. What was he supposed to say, “Oh yeah, I think it’s awesome, in fact you should know that I am Cuteguy!” that is not happening. Maybe he should just ask a question back to deflect having to answer. “I don’t really have one,” he lies,”what about you?”

“Oh,” says Scar as if not expecting Grian to want his opinion,”I don’t really mind it if they’re helping but it is illegal.”

“Yep, that’s kind of the definition of vigilante.” Grian responds.

“Maybe it would just be better for them to join The GFHA.” Scar continues.

“Well they might not agree with its ideals,” Grian argues,”and in any case they aren’t causing any harm.”

“True. True. Anywho I just wanted to call and get your opinion, by the way can you feed Jellie for me tonight?” 

“Sure,” Grian agrees,”but why exactly?”

“Oh, you know… I’m just helping Joel with something.” Scar answers in a voice that tells Grian that he’s lying through his teeth, but Grian doesn’t question it.

“Okay then,” Says Grian,”see you later Scar.”

“Later G.” With that Scar hangs up.

Grian is fine with Scar being out in fact he doesn’t even mind that Scars obviously lying, this just gives him an opportunity. Tonight Cuteguy would go out again to protect Hermitopia and get on the government’s nerves. Tonight he would make a name for himself as Cuteguy the infamous vigilante.

Hello, was reminded of the Scattered AU today accidentally after misclicking a bookmark and was suddenly hit with nostalgia and love the AU had back then. Not only was it a delightful AU but the way the community rallied around it to make a story together was so amazing. I hope everyone who participated, or loved the content, or even just watched the AU form are doing well. I hope I remember it again years from now and still love it the way I was reminded of today.

Scattered.... what an incredible AU. I wasn't here for it. Not just as a mod- I wasn't even involved in the fandom yet when it was still ongoing. But I found it later on, read through everything, and loved every bit of it. It's only later, when Hermitopia happened, that I got to participate in a community AU for the first time, and it was amazing. And now I've ran one of my own.

The community here is absolutely wonderful. And Scattered has a special place in my heart, even if I didn't get to watch it grow.

Pearlescent Moon

Pearl's whole empire started this au idea.

Her little shop is called Gilded Helianthia Farms and she sells food! (And also hot cocoa in the winter)

She normally wears a hoodie dark blue with the moon phases on the sleeves. When she works in Helianthia she wears her cleaning lady outfit. She use to work as an art teacher at the school the next street over or as the kids today are calling it Hermitopia.

The kids call her- Queen Pearl, The Queen of Gilded Helianthia, Queen Pearlescent Moon, and Queen Moon

- Is a stranger to Hermitopia; is not supposed to be there but was thrown into there by a certain Watcher or two

- Loner, enjoys working alone but would sometimes ask Ren for help

- Starts off a hero, but gradually descends into becoming a villain.

In relation to this post I started up on a full au and made a little concept sheet!

Grian

Grian, in the public eye, appears to be a simple scarlet macaw avian that likes to make pretty, aesthetically pleasing builds and play lighthearted pranks on his friends. He lives with his best friend, Mumbo Jumbo, the redstone extraordinaire.

And Grian is a Watcher. Very few people know, such as Mumbo, his twin sister Pearl, and Cleo (because Cleo knows everything for some reason).

Behind closed doors, Grian has fallen in love with Mumbo, but will refuse to say so. He and Mumbo have kissed many times, even going quite far with it sometimes, but they never talk about it.

With Grian’s powers, he’s developed a sort of obsession with watching Mumbo when he isn’t at home with Grian. He gets very jealous of anyone Mumbo may happen to flirt with, and becomes very protective of him.

Mumbo

Mumbo is a vampire, and a vegetarian one at that. He doesn’t want to hurt people, so he drinks blood substitutes and eats regular human food, mostly just hoping to live normally. He keeps himself disguised outside of his home, as vampires are one of the most feared creatures in Hermitopia. Mumbo thinks a lot about how people perceive him, so he is always as kind as he can be to everyone around him.

The situation with him and Grian has always been a little confusing. Of course Grian is his best friend, but with the.. activities they get up to, it really jumbles up Mumbo’s perception on relationships. Seeing as he’s never had one, he doesn’t really know how it’s supposed to work. He and Grian never talk about it. Mumbo has feelings for Grian, but he doesn’t know if he’s allowed to feel that way about his best friend. So he stays quiet, and almost desperately tries to get himself to fall for someone else, in case Grian suddenly decides he’s bored of this game he’s playing with Mumbo’s heart.

Scar

Vex. The most dangerous creature known to Hermitopia… they hide in plain sight among the people, posing a huge threat when they’re on the hunt for their next victim.

Vex are cannibals. They don’t eat each other, no no, not that kind of cannibalism. They eat people! They used to eat just humans, but over time, more and more hybrids have begun appearing, so they’ll include those lovelies too. However, some vex may find they are allergic to certain types of hybrids, the most common being avians. Scar himself is allergic to most bug hybrids, like moths or beetles.

Scar lives and runs a business with his best friend Cub, who is also a vex. They protect each other fiercely (i have a whole vex headcanon sheet i’ll post later), and while they’ve never been explicitly romantically involved, they show each other casual affection quite often. They don’t feel any pressure to label it, it’s just how they’ve always been (They’ve both dated other people and agreed that they don’t feel that way about each other, they just like to kiss sometimes. It makes sense to them).

Scar goes out on a hunt one day, wanting to bring someone home for both himself and Cub for dinner. He finds someone walking alone on the path to the village market, and he curiously approaches…

The story is gonna start there, soooooo ;]

Will their bond and the help of their mentor, Scott Smajor, finally get District 12 another winner..... or two?

After Double Life, everyone is supposed to be sent back to their home server. But Tango ends up somewhere else. Somewhere where his rancher buddy is a sheriff in a mesa, and a certain god keeps insisting he's a toy. And a god's words have impact.

- Crystals and Candy

In Season 8, Impulse gets a nice sign from someone called Charlie, requesting help making a chocolate factory. And it came with free, extremely delicious samples! Sounds good to him. This Charlie person can't be anything but trustworthy with candy like that.

- Nethered

A fan sequel to Past the Bedrock by ooFFFF. A universe-hopping Zedaph finds his way to a world where Hermits have been hurt and split apart by a strange Nether that seems set on pulling everyone in. The Nether is dangerous, the portals have beem closed, and the hermits inside have been lost... until Portaldaph makes it his mission to save them.

Some notes for @solargeist villain/hero au that I thought you guys might like to see

Martyn/Glitch:

- Glitch powers (his entire body is glitching)

- Code damaged from the Watchers

- Watchers won’t bother to Watch him because of eyestrain

- Listener or half-blood (can hear from long distances and also read minds, though phenomenon is uncontrolled)

- Is a stranger to Hermitopia; is not supposed to be there but was thrown into there by a certain Watcher or two

- Loner, enjoys working alone but would sometimes ask Ren for help

Grian/Watching Eye:

- Starts off a hero, but gradually descends into becoming a villain.

- Parrot wings

- Watcher? Or half-blood dk

- Isn’t bothered by Martyn’s glitching?

- Has significantly stronger abilities than an average Watcher

- Scar’s friend, though keeps his identity secret from Scar/“Hotguy”

Hotguy/Scar:

- Vigilante

- Self proclaimed “the greatest archer of all of Hermitopia”

- Roommates with Grian, though is unaware of Grian’s identity

- Despises Martyn for “stealing the spotlight”

- Has fought Watchkng Eye more than once; lost every single time

hello hellooo Posts are going to be more limited because of college!! I’m also working on a few things for this au in the background. like what characters are going to be in it and their alliances n powers n everything. I also don’t have the same brainrot over this au as I did, but don’t worry!! im still going to be working on this but i wont be churning out a bunch of art per post. SO. Ren!! He’s a hero but he has a reason for attacking The Inventor (mumbo). Its a revenge moment. Basically he believes Doc died in an explosion that the Inventor set up, because doc and ren were very close friends. Hes still very bubbly and a pretty good person, no red king murdery vibe with him, however, hes a biiit more vengeful. Hes got super strength and loves carrying around his friends. He’s one of the Original Heroes when the Hermitopia Hero Agency was founded. Also i feel like i should mention that even though only a few characters are villains or heroes or vigilantes or whatever, they’re not the only ones of that particular group, they’re just the non original characters im using and focusing on at least some. And if there aren’t characters that i use its not because i dont like the characters or CCs it’s because there are so many characters im trying to fit in. And im not working with just the hermitcraft characters im also using characters from empiresSMP.
