I'm literally so obsessed with the idea of the Heartbreak Incident as part of Doomed By The Narrative(tm) but the difference is that the Heartbreak Incident has already happened. Sidestep (and so many of the others) are doomed not by the future but by the past, which both haunts and doomed the narrative.

This is a story about choice but the inevitable has already happened. You had no choice but to be doomed by the narrative, you have a choice on whether you're doomed again. But no matter what you do, no matter how much you succeed or fail - you were doomed. And that matters. So much that it shapes the behavior of everyone around you.

I know Skyrim would have just exploded if they did this, but I’m visually playing with this concept, but if they made Alduin Bigger, like substantially, blanketing the sky in some areas like an oppressive heavy cloud moving in he would have been so much more intimidating and they would have likely had to do something other than “Dragon number 34838947394 but in special nord heaven this time”

While I do like the Eldritch MK theory, someone suggested that instead of being the reincarnation of a past enemy, MK is instead a sacrificial lamb for an enemy to come back (with him being referred to as harbinger).

Which raises a whole other question of who he is meant to be a sacrifice for.

Baby MK overall gives off the kind of vibes where he was created to be destroyed, doesn't he? I mean, why else create a "simple creature, with no past, no family, and no name". If something was just born (from a stone or not) of course it doesn't have any of those things—why specify it? You would only specify a detail like that if it was significant to why MK was created in the first place.

Which, this thought is not exclusive to Eldritch Abomination MK or to Harbinger MK, overall that feels like the implication. MK was made to be sacrificed in one way or another, whether that's to stop a past enemy, a returning one, or some other thing.

So, with MK being a sacrifice to chaos, I'm wondering why he would be given so much power. *throws dart at my idea board* Maybe he was made as some sort of ticking time bomb, created to destroy himself plus whatever threat he was meant to be a sacrifice for. *throws another dart* Or, perhaps he was created to be able to go toe to toe with whatever ends up being the embodiment of chaos!

Just to throw another dart at the wall: maybe MK was made as a counter measure to chaos itself! "There's a reason you were at the center of all these stories", that reason being to maintain balance and prevent the end of the world (of which he's done like, 4 times over now). "You don't use a weapon...you ARE a weapon!" aka MK is the ultimate weapon against literally any big bad.

Of course I'm partial to my own theory, but this is definitely a neat idea!

I am constantly tormented by every tiny change in behavior from this beaft. We had a weird day all day and I'm agonizing, but it's probably nothing. She has been making this funny little huff noise and I'm like DO YOU HAVE SCARS IN YOUR LUNGS? and today she had No Fun in Lowes with me and acted very worried for the whole 5 minutes we were there, and gave up in the middle of a little conditioning session she had asked me for, and has just seemed a little mopey and droopy, so I'm panicking and checking for fever and just generally being Upset.

Tbh i am wondering if she might be hormonal and coming back into the season she abandoned in October. She will do this solely because I thought I had solved the medical mystery of wtf happened to it after discussing dog reproductive cycles with her doctors and strangers online, and thus she must prove me wrong. She's also been eating really good for once so that might be it after all...

I hope that's all it is cause 1) get it over with before SF please
