I'm at season 3 of Star Wars rebels and the amount of people that have adopted Ezra is hilarious. Like Hera saw this boi and immediately asks Kanan to take him as his apprentice, Rex sees him and immediately decides that he is his little cadet and is responsible for his training and don't get me started on Maul, he sees Ezra for a few seconds and calls him "apprentice"
#i love this show so fucking much#Kanan and Ezra's relationship is messy and full of ups and downs#literally all the side characters are loveable#Hera and Sabine kick ass#Kanan is trying his best to raise his kid#he literally reminds me of kenobi#someone inexperienced who turned from knights immediately to masters and are insecure and unsure of their capabilities#Ezra and Anakin are little shits who don't follow orders get great improvised plans and challange their masters all the damn time#they behave like kids say hurtful things to their masters but when it hurts them they immediately take their words back#also Zeb has a whole enemy to lovers arc going on with Kalus and oh boi i cackled#i ship it your honor#star wars rebels#ghost crew#star wars#ezra bridger#hera syndulla#kanan jarrus#sabine wren#zeb orrelios#rebel kallus#darth maul

Ah I remember my question now!! Since Ezra is a growing boy, how does that impact his prosthetic use? I'm assuming they can't just go get him refitted like normal... do they help him resize? Do they build new parts? Or help him find some?
Hiii!! :D) So I doodled out my thoughts as I pondered this question but my handwriting is ass so… I’m also gonna write a little summary too!
Ezra's first Prosthetic was given to him by the same people who performed the amputation on his leg in the first place. Some concerned Lothali citizens who couldn't bare to watch him hop around on his severely infected leg any longer. 12 year old Ezra was pretty pissed about it though (understandably). It didn't help that his first prosthetic was old as balls and awful to walk on.
Thankfully, using bits n bobs he'd collected out on the streets, Ezra was able to tighten the loose hinges at the joints and modify the top to fit better. Alas, he ended up loosing this leg after bopping Kallus over the head with it pretty early on into joining the spectres.
Hera set him up with a pair of crutches and then devoted herself to finding him a replacement. She was determined to find something that was better than his last prosthetic and thought she'd struck gold when she figured out Vizago had one sitting in storage. She haggled hard but eventually managed to pocket the rarity, and delivered it back to Ezra. Sabine helped modify it fit to properly, and to Ezra's delight he discovered that the hinges on this leg were motion activated, and could pack an even better punch (or kick) than his previous one.
Ezra hadn't really manage to curb his habit of using his leg as a weapon on occasion, and during such an incident ended up losing leg 2 (much to Hera's despair). Thankfully, Sabine had helped Ezra do enough maintenance on his last two legs that she was confident she could fix up some similar prototypes using her engineering skills. The spectres all contributed to a scrap box that would be used to build replacement legs whenever Ezra ended up losing or outgrowing one. All of them were very dedicated to scouting out parts for him and happy to help with maintenance.
At some point the rebellion had gotten large enough to start having a more organised healthcare system, and Ezra was offered a spot on the surgery waitlist for cybernetics. Ezra was initially hesitant, however, post the incident on Malachor he eventually agreed.
The cybernetic, although not the most advanced for it's time, is connected to his nerves giving him full mobility over the prosthetic. However, it came with it's own new quirks that took some getting used to. Detaching and Reattaching the cybernetic takes between 2-5 minutes to do, and often requires tools to help, rendering it no longer an option as a spontaneous mid battle weapon. As a result there was no longer need for him to cut holes in the left leg of his trousers either.
Ezra doesn't sleep with the cybernetic (same as one wouldn't with a prosthetic) cause it would be hella uncomfortable. On lazy days, he often goes without it, opting to use crutches around base instead. The cybernetic is waterproof, however, in both snow and sand it can sometimes become clogged and stiff, and may need extra maintenance after the mission is complete. The ghost crew is always willing to help pitch in with their engineering expertise (mainly Hera, Sabine and Chopper) or spare part gathering.
Anywho,,, yeah. I hope that sort of answers that question?? I'm not 100% familiar with how prosthetics and cybernetics work in the Star Wars universe so forgive me if some of this info doesn't check out. ( also if u see a spelling mistake,,, no u don't)

Just block "a door acolyte posting" if I get too annoying anyways here's more thoughts
-Mae was giving me winter soldier vibes in the trailer with her knife and hand to hand scenes but having seen the show now she's a little. Girlfail. Love her tho.
-seriously all the masters are kinda kicking her ass completely unarmed. Like Indara wasn't even trying to disarm her or incapacitate her she was just kinda walking up on Mae threateningly.
-I love Yords gay ass little singular hoop earring. I think it's so funny how we've gotten an Obligatory Shirtless Scene from him already
-so many aliens!!! And the green lady doesn't look like ass (sorry hera)
-I love you qimir. Gayass little potioneer shopkeep npc type. *makes a little lime green evil glowing vial so you know it's poison*
- we better see more of torbin cause wtf. Instantly most compelling character
-immediately wilted over the amount of Asian Dad Disapproval when Sol noticed Osha's tattoo, highly accurate
-on that note, finally some more asian leads in the live action! They shall join boba, vel, rose, sabine, and anyone else I'm forgetting rn lmao
-i actually love the yellow jedi robes. So calming, I love that everyone has their own spin on it. I love that jord and his padawan wear yellow and white and look all pretentious. I love that it matches Sols sun aesthetic, which I hope they build upon

I have so many emotions after that Ahsoka episode!!!!!!
Marrok being literally nothing was hilarious.
Learning that the root of the Ahsoka/Sabine fracture was The Purge of Mandalore, the extinction of Clan Wren was devastating.
Understanding that Sabine really is alone alone.
Hera giving a big 🖕🏻fk you🖕🏻 to bureaucracy, taking both Jacen and Phoenix Squadron with her.
Kick-ass lightsaber duels.
Okay but actually who tf WAS Baylan Skoll??
Ahsoka Anakin-ing out when she thought Shin killed Sabine.
World Between Worlds!!!!!
Gorgeous WBW transition.
“Hello, Snips.”
My boooyyyy!! My beautiful boooyyy!!! (I don’t even care that the CG was weird) MY BOYYY!!!!!

Rebels Rewatch: "Legacy of Mandalore"
A Mandalorian family reunion!
Live reaction version from 2017.
I do find it hilarious that the kids are in the front seats, driving and co-piloting, while the adults are hanging out in the back.
Ezra's little, "Wait a minute." moment lol.
Nice to hear this bit of spoken Mando'a.
Chopper banging on the outside of the Phantom II with his manipulators lol.
Remember what I said last rewatch about how the two of them develop into co-protagonists? Part of that seems to be that they start spending more time in the cockpit together. :)
~Under cloud, beneath the stars... over snoooooooow one winter's morn.~
*ahem* Pardon me there, visiting Krownest always puts those lyrics in my head.
Subtle animation appreciation moment: The snow clumps being shaken off the tops of the trees as they're passing.
"Don't worry, I'll play nice."
Ah yes, one of the parts of the episode that almost seems like it's playing Ezra off as Sabine's "problem boyfriend" that she's bringing home to meet mom and dad. <3
So it was definitely the Supercommando armor that set Ezra off.
I do not know what it is but Disney has been pulling some really weird shit regarding age order of siblings lately, Tristan does not look like he's the younger sibling at all.
Also Isabella and Luisa should be totally switched around, c'mon.
Subtle animation appreciation moment: How their feet actually sink into the snow with realistic weight and powder compression.
Love the design of the Wren stronghold. Very Modern Architecture.
I love him. <3
Takes Sabine promising that the lightsabers will be safe before Ezra decides to give his up. (And yet later in the climax he doesn't even hesitate to throw it to her, aaaaaah!)
Don't mind me, just appreciating the design of this place.
Ursa sounds an awful lot like Fenn "I made a deal with the Empire to survive" Rau here. I doubt the parallels aren't deliberate.
So I guess the takeaway lesson is don't make deals with the evil empire because it will always screw you over.
*whispers* If no supposed to ship why have Ezra being adorkable towards Sabine's brother just like Kanan was adorkable at Hera's father?
Really can't get over the scenery in this episode it's so soft and pretty.
Ursa was so ready to be impressed that her babygirl kicked Maul's ass and so disappointed when that wasn't the case lol.
Does seem like Sabine had a difficult childhood even before the whole Dutchess fiasco. Maybe that was why she decided to go to the Imperial Academy in the first place? Who knows.
My genre-savvy called a lot of the beats this episode, which made it just a smidge predictable for me the first time around.
Not gonna lie, Rau sneaking through the complex is actually kind of hilarious.
I'll bet Alrich painted that for her. :)
Ngl, the dialogue in this scene is just a bit weirdly written, I dunno what it is but it bugs me.
Ezra's so proud that Sabine kicked Gar Saxon's ass lol.
Underappreciated Papa Wolf Kanan moment: Shielding Ezra from the guardsman's blasters.
You know I don't wonder why Sabine latched onto the Ghost crew as her new family, high-ranking Mandalorian clans seem overly obsessed with prestige.
Tristan is a blabbermouth lol, still can't get over that.
Oh man this expression. She must feel like she's relieving her family's disowning all over again.
*chanting* Don't make deals with the devil, don't make deals with the devil.
Saxon is a master at finding loopholes isn't he?
I don't think this brief fakeout from Tristan was necessary, I think he should have just immediately turned guns on Saxon from the beginning.
Nice to hear Sabine's theme in the score tho.
LOLOL IT STILL CRACKS ME UP HOW FENN RAU JUST BURSTS THROUGH THE GLASS WINDOW ALL, "SURPRISE, BITCHES!"
<333333
This moment made the episode for me.
Zero hesitation, complete trust and faith. He loves her so much omg.
Oooooh a nice rendition of the Force Theme here!
(Told y'all it became a running gag.)
Problem boyfriend so worried. <3
Sabine's theme is in french horns now, it sounds like. This iteration of the theme is less mournful and more action-oriented, with flute trills and timpani percussion.
The cracking ice is mostly symbolic I think. I did worry at the time of airing if someone was going to wind up falling in.
Sabine using basic lightsaber positions like Kanan and Ezra taught her. <3
...Was it implied that Sabine hacked off Saxon's arm there or...? Camera angle makes it difficult to discern.
I don't think it's a coincidence that Saxon winds up in a position like Dooku's or the Grand Inquisitor's in the Season One finale, lightsaber blades held crossed at their throats.
But Sabine, having been heavily influenced by the Jedi in her life, chooses mercy over revenge. The moment is even punctuated by a snippet of the Force Theme. Aaaaaaaah I love it, I love that Sabine has let Kanan's influence soak into her so much, has become so much more Jedi than Mandalorian and been made better for it.
Oh, his arm's intact, okay then.
I have... Thoughts™ about the entire Mandalorian mindset of needing chaos to become strong and refusing outside help to fight its battles and how the whole Proud Warrior Race thing so often works against them rather than for them but I'll leave them unsaid for now.
<33333
This status quo change was honestly completely unexpected, and frankly, the episode is eons better for it.
Sabine's theme is in a triumphant key now, as she watches the Phantom II leave.
:((((
So! This episode is not nearly as good as the previous one, and it's bit predictable, as I said. It's not bad, though, and it's obviously a necessary one for Sabine's growth and character arc, and the overall Mandalorian arc. I was weirdly a little bored this time? Aside from the cute Sabezra bits and the fact that they were bold enough to change up the status quo by having Sabine stay on Krownest, I really feel like this could have been so much stronger as an episode.
Maybe if we axed one of the fillers and made this a two-parter? Idk.
The episode is still decently entertaining enough and has lots of lovely quality Sabine content for those in fandom whose primary investment is her. She gets to really shine here, and show off how far she's come as a character. Which is great.
I think at the time there was a genuine worry that Sabine was being written out of the show. I know I needed a little bit of time to process the thought of her being absent the next couple episodes. But again, they made a narrative choice and stuck with it and I admire that. So I really can't hate this episode. :)
Of course next time we're at my favorite episode of the season and the whole inspiration for an accidentally giant-ass AU that I wrote. See y'all then!

In honour of the Ahsoka show coming out, I’m coming out of my internet/Tumblr hiatus to write out my feelings, the feelings that caused the hiatus in the first place.
I love Ahsoka as a character. I love Clone Wars.
I love Star Wars Rebels
I want Ezra to come home. To see Hera again. To see Sabine again. Zeb. Chopper. Kallus. Rex.
I want him to meet Jacen
I loved the Mandalorian
I loved the Bad Batch (whitewashing not included)
I loved Book of Boba Fett
But I am terrified of the Ahsoka show
I am terrified at what they are going to do to the characters I love with all my heart. I am terrified of what they are going to do to Sabine. To Ezra. To Hera. To Chopper.
I am terrified they are going to erase Zeb. Terrified they’ll erase the meagre progress we got in the finale, of Kallus and Zeb on Lira San together.
I am terrified that Thrawn is going to be a villain.
“But he is a villain?” I hear you ask. “He was a villain in Rebels? He was the big bad for season 3 and 4?”
He was.
And that’s half the reason I’m scared.
Because I read the books.
Before I read the Thrawn books, Rebels was my favourite piece of Star Wars content/media I’d ever consumed (and I have consumed a metric fuckton of Star Wars). But the two new Thrawn book series beat it out. The new canon ones (Disney canon, if you want to call it that).
I love these books so much that I couldn’t consume any more Star Wars media after them. The live action shows, I could see the hints flooding in, and I have barely a shred of hope left that they won’t take my beloved books and destroy them. By which I mean, destroy Thrawn. This is why I’m so so scared of the Ahsoka show. I retreated from every bit of Star Wars fandom because I just couldn’t handle it.
The Thrawn books set up a beautiful narrative for the time skip in rebels. The hints from both the original trilogy (of Thrawn books) and the Thrawn Ascendancy trilogy wove into the beginnings of an amazing explanation for where Ezra might’ve been during the gap, and did so while exploring Thrawn's character in a way that made me love him. And if you’ve only watched Rebels, you’ll believe me when I say that before reading the books I hated him. Before I read the books I couldn’t imagine liking him. And then I read them. And now the main reason that I am so so so distrustful and scared of the Ahsoka show is that I can see contradictory hints in the trailers, hints at the themes and stories that are going to be explored in the show, and they are all hints pointing towards making Thrawn who he was in the pre-Disney canon, in the old Thrawn novels. In those, he was exactly what you likely think of him as—ruthless, evil, heartless. However you want to describe it. But the newer books (written by the same guy who created Thrawn in the first place, I’d like you to know) changed that. They made him an infinitely more nuanced character, gave him a story that is so much more interesting than an evil dictator. But the trailers for the Ahsoka show make reference to the old books. The set up of the show is making Thrawn out to be the big bad. And when I heard “Heir to the Empire” (the title of one of the old Thrawn books, in which he is exactly that, and is his usual Legends canon nightmareish evil self) I pretty much lost all hope.
Theoretically, all this should’ve been assuaged by the fact that the new Thrawn books are canon. Not Legends canon, they are current canon.
But after how they changed Kanan’s backstory in Bad Batch, contradicting canon comics in favour of their new audiovisual show, I can’t expect much respect for written canon vs audiovisual canon. They’ve already disregarded their books once, why wouldn’t they do it again?
And let’s loop back around to that “but Thrawn was a big bad villain in the Rebels show”, because that ties right in.
Most of us love Dave Filoni. Clone Wars kicked ass. Rebels is amazing. I said it before—it’s my second favourite Star Wars media ever.
However.
Dave Filoni is also involved in the whole changes that happened with Jacen. He did the Bad Batch.
He also did Rebels, and specifically, also chose to make Thrawn the way he was in Rebels.
Compared to how Thrawn is in the new books, written by Timothy Zahn (again, the guy who made Thrawn in the first place), I’d take Zahn Thrawn over Filoni Thrawn any day. Because as I said, he is way more nuanced and complex in the books.
Villain and antagonist are two very different things. A villain is bad. A villain is cruel, and wrong. An antagonist is an opposing force. An opposing force against the protagonist. The protagonist doesn’t have to be a hero. The protagonist is simply the person we are following the story of, the one we hear the side of.
In Rebels, Thrawn is presented as antagonist and villain. He is countering the rebels efforts, doing things they don’t condone. The Empire is the true overarching villain of Rebels, and he is the face of the empire (once the inquisitors are done away with, and Kallus has defected). He and Pryce are the Empire. (Maul’s also an antagonist, but this isn’t about him.)
In the books, Thrawn is the (main) protagonist. He’s not really a hero, not in any usual meaning of the word, but he’s a protagonist.
The other main protagonist for the first book is Eli Vanto. An imperial officer who’s a hick from Wild Space, he’s about as low on the food chain as you could get.
For the first while, the Thrawn books don’t really have a distinct villain. The antagonists are, as could be expected for a book centred on imperial officers, sympathetic, or just plain unimportant enough to really count. Pirates. Smugglers.
And then comes Nightswan.
Nightswan is not a villain—He’s an antagonist. But he’s not a hero either. He’s not even really a rebel, not in with the rebellion, or his own sect like Saw Guerrera. He’s just swindling and fighting because he doesn’t like the empire, but he’s not overly concerned with results. A bit, but not much.
Pryce is a protagonist of the first Thrawn book. She is also, simultaneously, a villain. We watch her turn from a cunning and conniving 30-something, to a cunning, conniving, ruthless 50-something with a body count and a former best friend she turned in, making her rot in prison (because she joined a rebellion after seeing how Pryce was treated by her superiors!).
The last of the conflicts in the first Thrawn book is not a person vs person conflict. It is a person vs society. The last antagonist is the Empire. Or, specifically, the Empire’s xenophobia.
Thrawn is treated like crap by more than half of the people he works with. Eli, hick extraordinaire, the lowest member of the food chain, is not the lowest. Thrawn is. The only thing worse than being a hick from the ass end of nowhere is being an alien from the ass end of nowhere. At every turn, there are enemies watching for Thrawn and Eli to slip up, so they can be sent packing. The only reason they don’t, the only reason they survive, is a combination of one (1) influential non-xenophobic friend (who’s a remnant of the Republic, funnily enough (love you, Yularen)), plain competency at military matters, and a lot of tiptoeing around and making concessions.
“When can we push without being kicked out or killed”. “When do we have to give ground in order to stay in the fleet, and have the chance to do better in the long run”. More often than not, for two people such as themselves, they have to give ground. Eli, and Thrawn, spend a lot of their time in the books having ethical dilemmas and crises of conscious. It’s subtler from Thrawn, but it’s there.
Tell me that’s not more interesting than another black and white imperial villain. Tell me that doesn’t make more sense than a black and white imperial villain when said villain is an alien.
I also… don’t like Lars Mikklesen, heh. I don’t have anything against him, not really, but the problem stems from how he doesn’t help counter what I’m seeing in the trailer(s). Lars Mikkelsen was, indeed, Thrawn’s voice actor in Rebels. However, it’s Dave Filoni’s Thrawn (Rebels Thrawn) that I’m worried about. As we’ve said, Thrawn in Rebels occupies a very black and white villain role, this cold as ice ruthless and cruel and creepy villain, but then they (Disney! Literally Disney! Literally canon!) expanded on him, changing his backstory and history and present to be something way more interesting, way more complicated and nuanced and sympathetic and tbh, not a villain so much as a misguided hero.
That’s the Thrawn I want! That’s the Thrawn I read six books of! That’s the Thrawn that makes a fascinating counter to Ezra’s reckless idealism! But they are hinting at all the wrong hints, and the fact that they keep pulling from Rebels is one part of those hints. Ahsoka snarling in Mando asking for where “Grand Admiral Thrawn” is, is another. “Heir to the empire” is another, and that’s the really, really, really damning one. Anyway, yeah, Lars is not the problem, but he’s another person involved who doesn’t have any exposure to Book Thrawn, so he does nothing to reassure. Also, in the pettier reasons I’m eh on him, lmao, he’s… kinda old for how I think Thrawn should look since we’ve experienced that Chiss seem to age extremely gracefully, and also just generally his face isn’t right, and also… I know he was the first voice but I really like Mark Thompson (the voice actor for the audiobooks) way better, lol.
Other than Thrawn, the trailer(s) worries me that they’re going to pull force-sensitive Sabine out of their asses. There’s no reason to make her force-sensitive, she could use Ezra’s lightsaber without it, and work with Ahsoka without being her padawan (remember how Ahsoka left the Jedi order also?? And refused to train Grogu? Her randomly turning around to train Sabine (who shouldn’t be force sensitive anyway) doesn’t even fit in with their own canon!)
Ahem.
That’s all I can think of right now. If you’ve read the Thrawn books, or if you haven’t but are curious and don’t care about spoilers, this is what I think should’ve/should happen with Ezra, Thrawn, and all the post-rebels pre-rebels epilogue/pre-Ahsoka time.

I am not really looking forwards to the Ashoka Tano series for a few reasons.
First I don’t like the character that much. But it seems like I’m really supposed to. On the surface, I feel like I should like a woman Jedi badass. But I don’t and considering how often she pops up in other characters’ story arcs and that each time she supersedes the other characters rather than taking a back seat, it feels like Rose Tyler from Doctor Who all over again. The “I’m a Jedi, but only when it’s convenient” is very frustrating. I feel like if you have a Light Side Force adept who isn’t a Jedi, you should really lean into it because it sounds like an interesting development for character and worldbuilding.
Second, I haven’t been able to get through Clone Wars partially because the Tartovsky series exists and I have it in its original narrative format, but also because who in their right mind would ever give Anakin Skywalker, walking disaster a padawan? For me, it is beyond my suspension of disbelief. I can’t do it. It doesn’t help that people tell me that the first 3ish seasons are rough going. That is emphatically not encouraging. Rebels season 1 was rough going too but at least it was funny and at least one of those idiots (usually Hera) had a working brain cell at any given time.
Third, it kind of looks like they are going in an Heir to the Empire direction. Which is okay I suppose, but feels like overly eager fanboys who never bothered with any Thrawn novels after the first three, if they even read past the first one. Later there’s an imposterThrawn storyline that seems like it would make a hell of a lot more sense in the current canon (such as it is). But it also seems like we are approaching a major point of no return divergence between bookThrawn and tvThrawn. Timothy Zahn has done a really awesome job of reconciling the two as much as possible, but I don’t think that Filoni is up to continuing it at all. Zahn made a very clear and fundamental difference between Empire/Republic space and the Unknown Regions and how they see their Force sensitives which I find very interesting and great, but given how Ashoka is usually written will probably get overlooked or hijacked to grow her journey to being something or other. Does she have any personal goals at all? To be fair, this seems like a generic Jedi character issue, but I don’t see it getting addressed on screen in any meaningful way.
Fourth, Ezra deciding that he had to stay to help someone (or several very young someones) in the Unknown Regions makes way more sense for his character than hers. A large chunk of the Rebels storyline is him fighting to free his home from Imperial control. Ashoka doesn’t have that kind of connection to place or people and it would be fine for her character if it was left that way , but it very much looks like Ezra’s motives (and Sabine’s) are being hijacked and reassigned to Ashoka. Which is really frustrating if you want to have development for both characters that is different. She needs to do her own work and not crib off someone else’s.
All that being said, if I end up hearing that Ar’Alani shows up and kicks all of the ass (as she fucking should), I will probably give the Ashoka series a shot. There will probably be another delighted squeefest of “it’s Chissmas!!” on social media if such a thing happens. I am totally here for that.

Now that Ahsoka’s over, or at least the first season, I wanted to give my thoughts on how I personally thought it would go. longish post beneath the cut!!!
Picture this:
Ahsoka Tano has just picked up Sabine from Lothal, with Sabine who had just cut her hair short like Kanan did, and Ahsoka who had adorned the white cowl to separate her from Anakin.
They set off in the Jedi T-6 Shuttle in search of leads, anything to get closer to finding Ezra. We see them talking the night away, frequenting bars and cantinas across the cosmos, perhaps even winding up into fights. We get to see them kicking ass and making it through the days. Maybe Hera comes out to help them, maybe someone has a Force Vision or Kanan’s Force ghost comes to them with hope and answers. So when they finally get the lead they need, they set off. It doesn’t matter where to, but they set off, with Hera, with Zeb and Chopper and Huyang and whomever else and they leave on the Ghost.
Hera and Sabine have an honest heart-to-heart about how Ezra’s disappearance has affected them, they talk over some coffee. Ahsoka catches up with Zeb and finds out how things have been going on Lira San (which btw!!! a lead to Ezra’s location could definitely have come from Chava the Wise, the mystic that led everyone to the new Lasat homeworld!!!). Zeb talks about the good ol’ days with Chopper and it’s a nice family experience.
When they eventually find Ezra, he’s with Thrawn, roughing it and surviving on a harsh planet. I’m not skilled enough in the art of storytelling to say what would come of that exactly, but what I do know is, a lot of it needs to be centred around the Reunion. Ezra gets to be with his family again, the Spectres. Maybe Thrawn seeks to be reunited with the Chiss, I don’t know.
And yes, this Ahsoka’s show (despite it being so clearly a Rebels 2.0), so she needs to get the clarity she deserves by meeting with Anakin’s force ghost. Perhaps she has a nightmare, perhaps she just sees him, but regardless, Ahsoka needs to separate herself from Anakin and get a proper apology from him if he has redeemed himself. She needs that release to finally move on and leave his ghost in the past
I’m not so on-board with Jedi Sabine or Ahsoka teaching Sabine when those two barely interacted beforehand. If they had worked into it during the show instead of telling us they already had a bond, it would be more believable. Ahsoka doesn’t really need to train anyone in my honest opinion except follow the fate that has been laid out for her.
The show would end with loose ends tied up, maybe a little homage to Family Reunion - and Farewell Part 2, where it pans over everyone and what they’re doing after the gruelling events. Let the show pan over to Kanan’s old mask in some dusty room. End it over a shot on the jaig eyes.
Where do Shin and Baylan tie into this? I don’t know. They could very well be gone from the show entirely or they can play a part as semi-antagonists. I’m not entirely sure what was happening at the end there with Shin rallying the bandits and Baylan on the Mortis statues, but still. Likewise with Elsbeth. While it was nice to see her have a rematch with Ahsoka, we had this huge build up with the Great Mothers and then what? She dies? I don’t know what to make of this except I am only feral about one thing
WHY DIDN’T HERA AND EZRA HUG???!???
anyways thank you for making it this far of my drabbles, have some art as a gift:

Literally can not stop talking about them.
Totally ignoring that Zeb told Ezra he was found on Lasan by Kanan after the T7's and telling you what I THINK happened instead hehe
So we know that Wookies and Lasat were- are super rare "treats" for the mining guild- as far as Zeb knew, he was the only Lasat left. So when the Wookies came and got him out, barely- they were attacked and taken. I don't know what happened to the Wookies, but for the next few months Zeb went through it, being sold and swapped around the galaxy and working until he collapses- or.. other kinds of work Zeb decides to take to the grave. Of course the guilt tricked him into thinking this was deserved, of course, and make no move to help himself out until one day the cargo ship he was on was attacked
Kanan refused any part, at first- he didn't care for the slaves like Hera did, all he wanted was supplies and they could bounce- so when she came back dragging a clearly beaten and abused massive Lasat onto their ship, he was a little upset. Hera absolutely refused argument, despite Kanan trying very hard to argue this, and kept pulling Zeb along onto the ship– Zeb didn't know where to look, to be honest.
Hera told Kanan Zeb was the only one left. The other slaves and prisoners were killed when Hera's presence was revealed- Zeb was lucky Hera turned the right corner. And now there he stood, being handed a bag of stuff and shown an empty room, and told this is where he was staying- "until they found a place to dump him" Kanan got a good smack for that snip- but Zeb just bowed and stayed in the room for three whole rotations. Hera caught him on several occasions cleaning up the ship/making up meals with what they had- Kanan was a little impressed but Hera stomped any ideas out of his head. Hera tried to gently discourage the behaviour by reminding Zeb he was free, but Zeb wasn't all that sure considering he was being "dropped off"
It was a long, honestly scary process- Kanan obviously wasn't sure what to think of their new... companion, barely seeing him unless Hera specifically requested Zeb come out of his room- a weird habit of his, but Hera was worried they wouldn't have enough rations for them all- and Chopper quickly(and, to be fair, accidentally) made them all very aware of Zebs relationship with electricity. It took almost a month for Hera to get Zeb comfortable enough to be around Chopper again, and even then it was only when Hera or Kanan were around too. Its- it's tough, but they make it work.
Then one day when they're out, Kanan gets cornered by troppers. Hera cant comm him, and blasters are trained on him with pressure on the trigger. Theres no way out- and Zeb shows up kicks the stormtroopers asses. Kanans totally floored- this is the same guy who barely said any more than three words to them and couldn't stand at first- he absolutely killed them. Zeb totally dropped after though- this was like his third supply run, he wasn't used to running around and fighting people, even if his form was close to perfect, still- Kanan caught and helped Zeb back to the supplies and Hera- who punched Kanan in the gut after being told what happened.
Hera took Zeb home to his room after noticing his hands tremble. And they don't drop him off.
Kanan comes around, he couldn't resist, with the way Hera was determined to keep Zeb- and with what had just happened. His bunk felt more homely, food supply was now regularly topped, and three spots at the table made the place.. feel more like home. Kanan likes it, he starts going on supply runs with just Zeb, they play Sabbac together and they're not just- people who happen to live together- Hera's overjoyed her two boys are getting along, already giving Zeb the title "Spectre 4" with his own comm
It's sweet, Zeb gets more comfortable, he gets better, and Hera, Kanan, Chopper and Zeb become a family. Things are good, bad- it's messy when Sabine and Ezra join in, with the Empire hammering down on them and Heras attention now being divided(but not unequal!), but Zeb adapts.
#i NEED to add more you dont understand#i have an entire cinematic masterpiece in my brain rn#its insane.#sw rebels#garazeb orrelios#hera syndulla#kanan jarrus#chopper#feel free to add >:>

I'm in the middle of a twenty-show-weekend and I don't have any brainpower left to choose anything, so you wanna just tell me all the questions for The Fall Of Fulcrum?
Oh God, you're serious.
ABSOLUTELY!
1. Of the fics you've written, which is your favourite and why?
Since we're talking about The Fall of Fulcrum... No but seriously, it is. It'll always have a special place in my heart ♥️
2. Which scene was your favourite to write?
It's a hard tie between the rescue, the panic attack and the hand holding scene, I loved writing these so much!
3. Which part of it was the hardest to write?
So far I think the therapy sessions. I really enjoy adding them in, but because I study psychology, I have that impulse to make everything as accurate as possible and it's difficult to enjoy writing it (nevertheless I love these scenes)
4. If you could change anything in it, what would it be?
I would add a few filler scenes before the rescue and maybe during medbay stay, but overall I think I like the outcome so far
5. Did you make an outline for it? Did you stick to it?
I did only for the first 3 chapters and I stuck to it enough. The rest I write as I go, which sometimes kicks me in the ass
6. Which scenes did you cut and which were added?
I know for a fact I cut out at least one torture scene (I wrote too many) but I might still use it as maybe a flashback or a nightmare in the future 🙃
I also needed to get rid of one deep conversation between Kallus and Zeb but I might find a good time to add it in
I changed a conversation between Zeb and Hera about Kallus not wanting to stay with them and- in the fic he's having that talk with Ezra. Same for Kanera being parents and discovering the kids have the transmissions- Hera was originally the one who got up at night and joined Sabine in the common room, not Kanan.
As for the added scenes, I can assure you I did not in fact intend to have Kallus and Zeb irritated before the hand holding in chapter 12 (as in Kal was irritated at therapy and everything because trauma and Zeb at being helpless). I also come up with scenes with Kanan on the spot. I didn't plan the stuffed tooka, but I don't regret writing it ♥️
7. Who was your favourite character to write in it?
Kallus is a treat to write as always, but I absolutely love writing Zeb, Hera and Chopper. I also very much enjoyed the scenes with my OCs (so far we have Oasay, D'alier, Faddis & ✨the boys✨), I love coming up with characters
8. Which came first, the title or the fic?
Definitely the fic. In fact it didn't have the title until the day I decided to overcome my huge fear and publish the first chapter, because AO3 wouldn't let me do that wuthout naming the fic (ridiculous)
9. Which idea came to you first?
Definitely the rescue. To be honest I wrote the entire pre-rescue part just to reach it. I also straight up knew I wanted to include a major panic attack scene and one that is yet to come
10. What are some facts readers might not know about?
Oh buckle up
I like, totally forgot to add Rex into the story at the beginning, that's why he only shows up when they go to rescue Kallus (and it's thanks to @probablynot-john that he's actually in the fic at all 💕)
similarly to the above, Pryce was gonna be one of Kallus' captors responsible for his torture, she was even in the tags, but then I totally forgot to add her in (a bit because she's a bitch and I can't write her)
I explicitly changed my plans of sleeping late, to go to an extra lecture on Values and Growth after Trauma I found out about like 2 hours before it started, because it sounded like it would help me write Kallus' trauma (and it does, so be thankful)
I planned to write a scene of burning the Fulcrum symbol onto Kallus' back but I didn't believe in myself enough to do it (I thought it would be a little too graphic) but I might change my mind someday, because that plot will have a comeback
I originally planned to make Kallus not talk after the rescue, but it was too difficult to add to the plot, so I dropped the idea
the reaction to hearing the word 'Fulcrum' is actually a real thing and I believe it's connected to classical conditioning- Thrawn always used that name right before torturing Kallus, so now Kallus associates that name with pain
it'll be mentioned and explained in the future so heads up: ‼️spoilers‼️ but one of Kallus' coping mechanisms during torture was dissociation- it activates when someone withstands situations too heavy for their mind and body to handle and also can cause partial amnesia- that's why Kallus doesn't remember getting rescued (Kanan and Rex called it 'catatonia' in the fic, the actual name is dissociation but again, my guys are not psychologists so forgive them. However Ninna Faddis will use that name sometime in the future I think)
Thank you so much for asking! I had a blast responding! ♥️♥️♥️

Star Ware Rebels Bechdel Test Rewatch- 4x14 'A Fool's Hope'
Plot
While Hera is off-world to recruit more allies, Ezra hatches a plan to free Lothal.
Female Characters: 4
Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, Arihnda Pryce, Ketsu Onyo
Male Characters: 11
Ezra Bridger, Zeb Orrelios, Rex, Alexsandr Kallus, Rukh, Ryder Azadi, Hondo Ohnaka, Gregor, Wolffe, Cikatro Vizago, Melch
Droid Characters: 1
Chopper
Does it pass?
So, fun fact: I was so engrossed by this episode I completely forgot to track anything in terms of the Bechdel Test and had to watch it again! Sadly, while it does get close at points, it does not pass. There are moments when Hera and Ketsu or Sabine and Pryce are in group scenes, but they don't speak directly to each other. Ketsu is in the cockpit with Hera on the Ghost at least, does that count? No? Ok.
It's too bad, because the first part of the series finale is a great episode. We are reunited with some of our favorite supporting allies we've met over the seasons. I actually found Hondo's affection for Ezra to be pretty moving this time around. I also forgot how little Rex and Kallus are in this season. I've missed them! I kinda wish they had been on Lothal the whole time with the Spectres... but oh well.
Sabine gets some kick ass action moments but otherwise is in more of a supporting role here. I'm glad her and Zeb get a moment to shine at least. And so does Hera....ramming into the Imperial transport is iconic.
The battle is very exciting, Rukh cannot be killed, the wolves are savage, Pryce is tricked, the Star Wars theme when the Ghost comes to the rescue.. there's a lot to love here. But still doesn't pass.

still haveht seen all of ahsoka show yet but I have been seeing stuff on this star wars account I follow that I don’t understand so I’m assuming it’s in the part I didn’t watch bc I was Very uninterested.
ummm so I’m thinking about it again and as ahsoka tano fan top 10 she’s one of my faves of all time. I just. my. A H S O K A. show. the. A H S O K A. show. and its like here’s the rebels and I’m like oh great that characters I really don’t care about thanks. like I watched their show it was alright I grew to like them BUT NOT ENOUGH FOR ME TO WANT TO SEE THEM AGAIN. well. except hera I love hera I want to see her always <3 BUT THE ITHERS?? WHATEVER!!!! I would like to see what my sweet sweet ahsoka is doing and what shit she’s wrecking on the other side of the galaxy. not. her wayward padawan. why does she have one of those? Like why is ahsoka “I am no jedi” tano waltzing around with a padawan and WHY IS SHE SO DRY ? :((( her actor gets her snarky bits well SHED DO THE SILLY WELL TOO I BET WHY DONT THEY GIVE HER THE SILLY ? she’s so serious I want to kill myself a little. ahsoka my little high school drop out why does she act like a “cool” teacher who breaks the rules only a little but is still a teacher none the less. OHHHH kills myself whatever. she’s not Totally down for the rules but she’s more down for the rules than I think she should be. she’s too slash srs. like ahsoka is wise as hell she’s very smart but she was never BORING….. CRIES MYSELF TO SLEEP.
look even that aside I just don’t care about sabine like that I don’t care about ezra that much and I definitely don’t want to go to Big Plot Thrawn like fuck that wgaf you get rid of that guy for OOOH? BIG PLOT ?? MAYBE FOR LATER ?? and then he comes back with MID PLOT. and does nothing. like I haven’t finished the show yet but I’m presuming he gets defeated bc I think I would’ve heard of big thrawn Star Wars phase BUT I HAVE NOT! so it’s just let’s have ezra again. which. as already stated. IDCABOUTHIMCOUGH. sorry ezra. I just. yeah. go off girl go crazy go stupid do whatever im gonna look over here now though.
like. I love my slay renegade disaster lineage girl who’s like nah fuck this we done. and does her own thing. SHE IS NO JEDI !!!! why have a padawan…… whatever
look I don’t like extra dubious disaster lineage that shit ended with ahsoka okay? BOOP yoda BOOP dooku BOOP quigon BOOP obiwan BOOP anakin BOOP ahsoka and then she was like okay this is the worst lineage in the history of ever let’s not. green freak, Sith Lord, rebel who died too young L, the “negotiator”, little freakass orphan annie who let him in here?? he’s too emotionally unstable—, and ahsoka tano the best thing to come out of this whole thing. one she doesn’t end up a sith lord two she knows what’s up she knew the order was flawed and went fuck this shit I’m out LOSERS and went on her own significantly more righteous path of awesomeness to be. what a jedi really SHOULDVE been. COOL. AS. HELL !!!! kind and compassionate, a bit of a smart ass, and selfless to high heaven. if there’s good to be done she will do it. she is bound by no order she is bound by no code she will do as she wants when she wants and she will make such a good impact and she will look so cool doing it. she also kicks so much ass.
