I felt so emotional today……

I'm so glad I got to see this scenery

I knew Yokohama Arena was big、but I was still surprised by just how huge it was。But it meant I could see wayyyyy more of your penlights！！！

So when I first stepped out on stage I was overwhelmed by all of you and your penlights and the size、but I tried to let go of that feeling

I just kept telling myself 「Don't mess up Don't mess up Don't mess up Don't mess up」。

Since we were all wearing ear monitors I knew the other members couldn't hear me〜

But thanks to that I was able to enjoy the rest of my time on stage、which I'm glad about

I mean I was still nervous though〜

Did you all have funー？？

I was also able to take part in the MC！

Looking back on this tour we've really done so muchー right〜！

I've learned a lot😊 And had lots of fun〜

So with this tour and our summer tour

There are 8 more prefectures that I've visited for the first time！

Fukuoka、Hokkaido、Ehime、Miyagi、Iwate、Kagoshima、Shimane、Hiroshima！

The sky in Fukuoka was so beautiful！It was so impressive that everyone was taking photos and videos on the busー I really remember this moment (*^^*)

And the ramen was delicious！

Then it was already snowy in Hokkaido…！

Ehime's Mikyan-chan was so cute😍

In Miyagi I came to love beef tongue

In Iwate the beautiful paddy fields warmed my heart😊

In Kagoshima we saw a beautiful rainbow before the performance✨ The sky was so huge！And the steamed fish stew bun was delicious！

In Shimane we all talked about marriage！

I had so much funー！！！！

Next time I definitely want to visit Izumo Taisha❤️‍🔥

Hiroshima is where I made my oyster debut🦪

hey, most of our membs are introjects, and im curious, what pros/cons are there to seperating from your source? (being like, finding a new name and changing your looks more than just.. a slight recolor of the og media like ours are xD) like why do other do so, im curious :}

Hiya! I’m an introject! This question is kind of complex and the answer is really going to differ from system to system and from introject to introject! But here are my thoughts (I’m a fictive of Ralsei from Deltarune by the way! :3)

So for me (and I feel like I can safely say this for all my introject parts) a small amount of source separation is not only a good thing, but also healthy and necessary in order to live a happy life! Like, I still strongly identify with my source. I view myself as Ralsei and identify with the character strongly! But I recognize that I am not literally the character. I am a member in a system and not a figment of Toby Fox’s mind which only exists in a video game. I am a real person and I exist in real life! I am capable of growth and change, and there’s nothing keeping me held to the tiny box that my source has to fit in, because even though I identify with my source strongly, I am not him literally! This is source separation! And for the parts in our system, this is a really good thing! >w<

And here’s some reasons why parts in my system have chosen to source separate (whether slightly, like me, or more fully, like Cecil!)

They formed as an introject as a way to cope with trauma! And source separating happens naturally as they process trauma memories and come to understand themselves more as they are, outside of their source and the trauma that caused them to form!

They were uncomfortable with being compared to their source, treated as their source, or others assuming that they were big fans of their source material!

Their source is a different race or is from a different culture than that of our body, so they wanted to change as a sign of respect to BIPOC or those who actually belong to that race/culture!

They wanted to be able to engage with their source’s fandom in positive ways without feeling hurt and offended when people interpreted their source in ways that they don’t identify or agree with!

They just embraced source separation as it was already happening naturally!

And more! Folks can source separate for a huge variety of reasons! And every system is different, so many introjects may have their own personal reasons for source separating! >w<

As for the cons to source separation… the biggest one for us is that it sucks to source separate because others forced or expected you to! If you want to source separate, do it!! But do it for you and no one else. Feeling pressured to do something you don’t want to do can cause feelings of bitterness and resentment >_< So yeah, that for us is definitely the biggest con! And we can’t think of many more besides that, though we’re sure for some introjects there are more!

Ahhhhh sorry this got so long! I love talking about introject life and sources and source separation and all that stuff. The last thing we’ll do here is include Cecil’s post on source separation in case anyone might find it useful! :3

Yogscast Starter Pack/Master Post

Hello!! I’ve had quite a few people express interest in exploring the Yogscast’s content recently! The yogs fandom’s source of content is a little hard to pin down and it’s kind of a lot of information, so I wanted to put together a more thorough compilation of summaries and places to start for anyone who’s not sure or just curious! Below the cut is my Yogscast Start Kit Master PostTM. 

I hope this helps, and don’t hesitate at all if you have any questions :)

Who are the Yogscast?

The Yogscast is a large group of youtubers who have a history of creating largely Minecraft-based content; they create stories, develop characters, and create lore-filled worlds through the many facets of minecraft that’s essentially been modded to hell.

This content isn’t just in one place or with one group of people, but rather a large collection of pairs, individuals, and groups of yogscast (and non-yogscast) members who’ve created a large number of respective series, often featuring a specific modpack, specific characters, a specific storyline, etc.

For example, Simon and Lewis (Honeydew and Xephos are their characters, respectively) are the main two individuals that started the Yogscast youtube channel,  Duncan later joins them, they become the main three yogscast icons, sips and sjin become the secondary two, and it goes on and on as the fanbase and number of creators grew. This means that, collectively, there are a…. STUPID large amount of different minecraft series that can technically be filed under “yogscast minecraft lore/ universe”.

Most of their series are unscripted, but they follow general arcs or set goals (e.g. going to space, building a jaffa cake factory, becoming proficient at a specific mod, etc). This allows hilarity to ensue when everything inevitably doesn’t go anyone’s way lmao

Oh cool, w. where am I supposed to even start, then

Compilations are always a good go-to if you’re interested in getting a feel for personalities, humor, and content style (I recommend looking up Yogscast Ultimate Edition videos!). If you’re just looking for a place to dive in, you’ve got a couple of options! I’ve sorted everything below by creator, as most yogs creators tend to do series within a specific set or group of people.

MAIN CREATORS & THEIR SERIES:

Lewis (Xephos) and Simon (Honeydew): These two are the “main two” figure heads of the yogscast! They started the main Yogscast channel about a decade ago and started their minecraft beginnings with the infamous series “Shadow of Israphel.” Xephos, the Spaceman and the one with the braincell, and Honeydew, the dwarven brawn and charisma of the two, also often team up with Duncan, as the three of them are featured in some of the Yogs’ most well-known minecraft series.

              Shadow of Israphel –  The OG series! Started all the way back when Minecraft was in beta, as soon as multiplayer became available. No mods, eventually scripted when NPCs are introduced. Hilarious interactions between NPCS and our heroes, and the nostalgic series that most every Yogs fan holds close to their heart!

              The Jaffa Factory –  Modpack: “Tekkit.” This was the first big modded minecraft series they did, and the beginning of the trend of hosting huge servers that almost every yog member hosted a different series on. Not scripted. Duncan (Lalna or Lividcoffee) joins them for the first time, and from this point on, they become a trio! unscripted and a mess. Sips and Sjin also eventually join!

              Moonquest –  Modpack: “MoonQuest.” Lewis, Simon, and Duncan attempt reaching the moon! It’s… in more than one way, a tad bit disastrous. This is the era when the Yogs started making songs and animations based off their minecraft series! (Watch this!) unscripted and disastrous.

             Yoglabs – Simon and Lewis. This one was a weekly mod review that developed into some questionable behavior via Lewis (Xephos). Really enjoyable, not chronological (each episode is independent, more or less- you can watch out of order)! It spans most of the entirety of their time on youtube. Various mods, just Simon and Lewis. (Watch this!) Most episodes of this series end up with Simon blowing up Yoglabs tbh

 Duncan (Lividcoffee, or Lalna) and Kim (Nanosounds): Lalna, or lividcoffee, is the well-known mad scientist of the server! His personality tends to change depending on the context and series, but when he’s with kim, he’s a friendly goof! Kim/Nano, his apprentice, starts as a true-to-definition noob at minecraft and eventually becomes a pro with magics and whatever Lalna happens to teach her! These two have their own narrative and call their storyline series “Flux Buddies,” which involves them trying to cure Kim’s infection of a magic substance called “Flux.” Good Duo. Pure. Eventually, drama with clones ensue!

              The Apprentice –  Their first series, in the “Tekkit” Era. It’s worth noting that Duncan has a solo series in the “Tekkit” Era called Duncan’s Laboratory as a precursor to The Apprentice as well. The apprentice is worth checking out just to see what happens to Kim, how she becomes fluxed, and what the aftermath is, but that’s p much it imo. Primarily unscripted, save for when Nano becomes fluxed!

              Flux Buddies –  Flux Buddies is the biggest/longest-running series, with several “seasons”. It begins after the events of The Apprentice, with…

              Flux Buddies –  Panda Labs! Kim explores witchcraft, they explore several different facets of science and magic, and Duncan begins the search on how to unflux kim! It’s kind of his fault, so he feels pretty bad about it,,

              Flux Buddies 2,3, and 4 –  A continuation, with more mods and more hijinks! Becomes more scripted as villain characters Lalnable Hector and Specimen 5 (clones of Lalna and Nano) are introduced!

              Flux Baddies –  A spinoff, featuring Lalnable and Specimen 5 as the main duo! Half scripted; an evil perspective on the Flux Buddies plot! This series is hilarious because half the time Duncan and Kim are trying to get stuff done, and half the time they’re trying (struggling) to stay in character as the mega bad-guys of the series.

Sips and Sjin: Sips and Sjin are the famous, much loved duo of the yogscast! These two are the, er. Magnificent, definitely not gay at all nope,, duo in charge of ‘Sips Co.,’ the Dirt Company! CEO Sips and his lackey Sjin (<also architect and farmer) are an absolute disaster. But like,, in the best way possible. They spend the majority of their time in each series bantering instead of getting anything done, but everyone accepts that its just part of the charm.

              Sipsco. (Sips and Sjin Tekkit) –  Modpack: “Tekkit.” This occurs at the same time as the Jaffa Factory! Sips and Sjin build up their dirt empire whilest also making sure to spy on and keep an eye on those weird Jaffa Factory goons and their girl scout cookies. Unscripted and hilarious! These two eventually go over and join the Jaffa Factory boys (Honeydew, Xeph, and Lalna!)

              (Most of Sips and Sjin’s series follow the same formula: Get started, joke around, never really finish the series. Even still, they’re iconic to watch and enjoyable to listen to C: This goes for):

              Volts –  IMPORTANT NOTE: if you decide not to watch any of sips and sjin, just watch this. somehow this is completely unscripted, but THE BEST

              Sipsco Space Program –  Occurs at the same time as “Moonquest”. These dopes try to get to Mars. Clone hijinks eventually ensue, briefly. Unscripted

              Cheat Police –  A pun on the series “Magic Police” (In which Sjin and Duncan attempt to jail all of the most powerful mages on the server). They try to call out all of the “cheaters” on the server. The dopes fool around in creative mode while trying to call out everyone else who uses creative mode.

 Zoey and Rythian: These two only have one series, but it’s one of the yogscast’s most known! Rythian, the serious, vengeful, loner-type endermage and hater of science, recruits Zoey as his apprentice (goofy, friendly, passive, interested in both science and magic)! These two are complete opposites but a much-loved duo!

              The Blackrock Chronicle –  Three short seasons long, this series follows Rythian as he recruits Zoey (and their sharpshooting, mute dinosaur, Teep,) to get payback and revenge on Sjin and Duncan for nuking and destroying the “old world” (The first tekkit server, unrecorded). He’s also determined to prove to them the superiority of his magic and the flaws of science; conflict arises when Zoey, his mage apprentice, also expresses interest in becoming a scientist. This series’ events are scripted, and includes cameos of many other loveable yogs folks (including Nilesy, Duncan, Ravs, and Zylus n Daltos).

^This one is a must-watch for sure!! A very heart felt and endearing series!

 Strife and Parvis: These two, another well known duo by the fandom, are a fun pair for sure! (They’re my personal favorite, so I’m a tad bit biased,,) William Strife is a no-nonsense, cutthroat business man and CEO of his solutions company, Strife Solutions. Not particularly fond of magic. Alex Parvis, absolutely-all-of-the-nonsense guitarist, chaotic newby who Strife hires? Adopts? Is burdened with? Strife is forced to teach Parv the ways of minecraftia and whatnot, much to Strife’s chagrin. Parv becomes a very chaotic bloodmage.

              Solutions in Chaos –  Their first series, taking place in the Chaosville server. Will, arriving for the first time ever in minecraftia, begins to explore the region before Parvis shows up, exclaiming that lewis sent him to be taught minecraft by strife. Strife now must babysit this child and teach him minecraft. Hilarity and much exasperation ensues.

              Blood and Chaos –  Following Parv’s series with Martyn (Inthelittlewood) ‘Heroes of Mine’ (in which they explore Ars Magica), Parv finds Blood Magic Items and insists that Strife helps him become the most powerful blood mage on the server! Strife does not approve At All n doesn’t really wanna be involved in this whatsoever, but he thinks parv will either destroy himself or destroy the server If someone doesn’t keep an eye on him. So, Mr. Strife must continue to babysit this now dangerous knife-wielding child.

Hat Films: Smith (Alsmiffy), Trott (Trottimus), and Ross (djh3max): These three are a TRIP and have a large fan base of their own. They’re an inseparable gang of swindlers and chaos bringers, and they’re pretty much all sharing the same single braincell. They make everyone else’s business their own business, as their motto is “what’s yours is ours,” and prove themselves to be the havoc-wreaker of whatever server they happen to be on.

              Hat Corp –  This is their first main minecraft series that features them interacting (aka messing) with other people on the server. From “"fairly”” selling land to all of the other groups of people on the server, to starting a dangeorus rivalry with the Flux Buddies, they’re. 100% disaster energy.

Hannah (Lomadia) and Nilesy: Very wholesome good duo! They tend to explore the magic mods, most of the time with Lomadia (powerful witch, owl lady!) teaching Nilesy what’s what. Nilesy is a just a simple cat lad. Likes to sell portable pools, he’s a potion master, he’s a man of the cats.  

              Evicted –  After being evicted from their Tekkit base ‘owl island’ as pirates took over their home, Nilesy and Hannah leave to set up base elsewhere and focus on Witchcraft!

The following series’, Owl Island and Cat Island, are very similar in caliber! Just our wholesome magic animal loving duo doing witch stuff c:

Kirindave, Lyinginbedmon, and Ridgedog: The last extremely notable lore-heavy minecraft characters making appearances on yogscast minecraft servers are regarded as the “demigods” of the yogs minecraft universe. Though they don’t necessarily do a lot of content together, I grouped them together for relevancy sakes. Kirin and Lying, both mod developers and masters at their respective magical crafts, have a bit of a rivalry going on, where as Ridgedog is the kind of “trickster” demigod, doing what he pleases and happily poking fun or messing around with others as he does so. They’re all a lot of fun to listen to and their series are all super interesting, so I’ve listed a few below!

              Ridgedog: Yogscast Complete –  Ridge sets up his base and plays by his own rules to become extremely proficient at a majority of mods in the server. He’s hilarious, plays largely by his own rules, and often does content with BeBopVox, another gaming and songwriting youtuber.

              Kirindave: Chaosville and Minecraft the Hard Way –  Chaosville sees the development of his rivalry with Lying as Kirin masters blood magic and other magics on the server, and Minecraft the Hard Way is the series following that!

              Lyinginbedmon: You can find the opposite perspective of the Chaosville rivalry in Lyings Chaosville S2. As Lying masters witchery, he and Kirin have a dangerous magically fueled ““prank”” war. Lying’s Witch in the Woods follows suit just like Kirin’s Minecraft the Hard Way.

Hello. Today I will talk about my favorite pro-team in DoTA 2 - OG. OG was created as the new team of former (monkey) Business players. The team's breakthrough occurred at the Frankfurt Major in late November, 2015. They fought through the lower bracket, defeating TI5 champions and runner-ups, Evil Geniuses and CDEC Gaming. By winning the 2017 Kiev Major, OG became the first team in Dota 2 to win four Dota Major Championships. In August 2018, OG became the first team to win The International from an open qualifier. The final of the event was the subject of a 2018 episode of "True Sight", making OG the only team to be featured in the series more than once. In August 2019, OG became the first team to win more than one TI by winning TI9.

The International 2018: A Dota 2 Cinderella Story

TI8 was looming, but OG still had a tough road ahead: the brutal Bo1 gauntlet of the Open Qualifiers followed by the Regional Qualifiers. Due to the instability of the European scene in the past season, the Open Qualifiers were unusually stacked, yet OG managed to easily secure a Regional Qualifier spot through the first Open Qualifier. The team showed even more promise during throughout the Regional Qualifiers, ending the Group Stage without dropping a single game and taking the direct route to the finals in the playoff bracket. There they would meet another new team in Wind and Rain, whom they defeated 3-1 on the backs of Topson's Pugna and ana's Phantom Lancer, to become the only European Qualifier team at TI8. Placed into Group A, alongside DPC giants Team Liquid, PSG.LGD, and Mineski, OG's task at TI was looking daunting. It would not get any easier after disappointing results in the first day of the Group Stage: despite taking a game off of favorites PSG.LGD, they were later swept by Team Liquid. As a result, after two days of the group stage, OG found themselves in the lower half of Group A. But a fantastic third day in the group, going 5-1 in total, dropping only a single game to Fnatic, would prove to be enough to just secure OG a top 4 finish in their group and thus a spot in the Upper Bracket of The International 2018 Main Event. Group B winners VGJ.Storm naturally chose OG as their opponent in the first round of the Upper Bracket, as OG was still looking like an underdog. However, OG shocked their opponents, beating them in two straight games. Still, OG was considered the underdog for the next round against Evil Geniuses, where they would meet up against former teammates Fly and s4. Not unwarranted, however, as EG had been showing a fantastic performance up until this point. But it would not be enough against OG, who beat them 2-1 in an intense series for a spot in the Upper Bracket Final against heavy favorites PSG.LGD. And again, against all odds, OG would prevail and secure their spot in the Grand Final in another intense, nail-biting series against PSG.LGD: Game 3 had OG with their backs against the wall and LGD looked prime to take their Ancient. With ana's Spectre down without buyback, it would be Topson's Arc Warden that almost single-handidly defended against three LGD members and led the chase after the remaining two LGD members attempted to back off. With few heroes left, LGD was unable to stop OG's assault on their own Ancient. The Grand Finals would see a rematch with PSG.LGD, that would only be the second time a TI Grand Final would go to the full five games. OG took game one on the backs of Topson's signature Monkey King and ana's Spectre. But LGD would hit back hard, taking back-to-back games and putting OG's backs against the wall once again in Game 4: after a relatively even early and mid-game, LGD took a lead after consecutive kills on ana's Phantom Lancer and Topson's Invoker and were able to secure two lanes of Barracks. But mistakes on LGD's part and OG's fantastic teamfight execution in LGD's safelane resulted in Ame's Morphling being dead for two minutes without buyback and OG able to take their own lane of Barracks. From that moment onwards OG was firmly in the lead, but a clutch Blink-Call by Ceb would secure OG's comeback with three members of LGD dead without buybacks. LGD did not let themselves be shaken from that game, though, as they came out swinging in the final game of the Grand Finals: on the back of fy's fantastic rotations on Earthshaker, LGD was able to take a sizable lead after the early game. But once again it would be OG's superior teamfight execution, this time around Roshan's pit, allowed OG to take a commanding position and finally the game. With that OG were crowned as the champions of The International 2018. They took the long way from the Open Qualifier and were considered underdogs throughout the entire event until the final game, but ultimately they showed the necessary resilience to come out on top. It would be the first time that the West was able to take two TI championships in a row, as the familiar East-West cycle of TI champions was finally broken.

Ideally Sanggyun would be pride, Donghan gluttony, Yongguk as sloth, Kenta as lust, Taedong as envy, Hyunbin as greed, and Taehyun as wrath.

So i thought hey itd be real cool if they have a cell block tango-esque type of thing u kno, but then i thought more and im like,, wait..... we can have a whole bonnie and clyde situation here

for people unfamiliar, triple H's 365 fresh mv gives the same vibe

Sanggyun, Hyunbin, and Donghan (all charged with theft before meeting each other), the OG gang, pulls up on a diner where Kenta and Yongguk part-times at

They join the crew and while small little robberies and whatnots are exhilerating, they're not as grandeur as Hyunbin likes, so he contacts the pros - Taehyun who has insiders within the law and Taedong a notorious hacker (or sth idk hacker seems unoriginal but i cant think of anything else rn)

Their roles as the 7 sins respectively start to unfold on the road. Donghan and Yongguk's are easy because Yongguk would almost always be sitting in the car, claiming to be on the lookout, and Donghan would be the last one out of the robberies, shoving extra bucks in his coat pocket. Tho since gluttony and greed (Hyunbin) are so similar, the only thing that could make it clear that Donghan is gluttony would be for him to be the first one caught - gluttony is a lack of self control rather than lack of generosity n all that.

For Taehyun, he'd be the one with the gun, and the only one in the bunch whos charged with murder while the others with vandalism or theft and whatnot. 

Kenta would buddy up with Sanggyun, and by that i mean tasteful homoerotic subtext, and cause Taedong (envy) to be,, well ukno... envious, not bc the whole love triangle thing its just bc lets say he lost his lover or sth and he hates seeing them all sappy.

With Donghan caught, the sudden lacking in one area causes the whole thing to slowly crumble. Let's say Donghan does the scoping out pre-show, making sure that they're good to go. Without him, they go into it a little bit more blindly and BOOM Hyunbin's caught.

Sanggyun his Best Frend wants to go to rescue Hyunbin who's the only other original 3 left and all that. Taedong and his deadly sin acts up, since the whole thing w Kenta u kno, and follows them, knowing that its bad timing and theyll get caught so why not bring Kenta down too. 2 birds with one stone.

At that point Taedong wouldn't care if he himself gets caught anyways. So he goes with them w/o them knowing, stays a few steps behidn everything they do n all that. They get caught, Taedong does too, a few seconds later. 

The cops r like,, so.... we know theres someone else in your little crew and we want their name not their alias. (its kenta btw)

Sanggyun starts making up names in his head and was gonna say a fake one outloud before Taedong gets to it before him and says Kenta's real name.

Shit happens and because they know Kenta's name they found out Kenta and Taehyun's hiding place. They go to court too.

The only one left is Yongguk, who goes back to his normal day life just like nothing happened and CAN HE PLEASE GET THE LAST 2 LINES IN THE SONG LIKE I CAN SEE IT ALREADY HES JUST PLOPPED DOWN ON HIS COUCH AFTER THAT LONG ASS RIDE AND HE DEADPANS THAT LINE AND SMIRKS AND THE SCREEN GOES BLACK.

tldr; 7 deadly sins bonnie and clyde concept: Donghan goes first, then Hyunbin, then Sanggyun and Taedong, then Kenta and Taehyun, which leaves us with Yongguk.

The LIVE itself made me emotional、Sakurai-san was like a goddess who appeared to me in a vision、Nonaka-san's impersonation of Tama-chan in the MC、Ishida-san's solo dance on Utakata Saturday Night、Okamura-san's beautiful figure、Makino-san's cool face in Are you Happy？、hearing Oda-san's ｢ko〜ko〜ro〜jya〜i〜i〜tsu〜mo〜sa〜kende〜iruno〜ni〜｣ in person、Kitagawa-san's beauty during Hana ga Saku Taiyou Abite、hearing Ikuta-san's dialect slip out while she was talking、seeing Haga-san's beautiful dancing that even included her hair、Yokoyama-san grinning and shining all through The☆Peace!、Yamazaki-san's voice being even prettier and cuter in person compared to hearing it in videos、Fukumura-san was like a true goddess、I genuinely have no other words to describe her、seeing Fukumura-san in real life was just so overwhelming… etc etc…

I remember eveーrything so clearly！

I watched all the member-sans intently through my binoculars so when the concert was over I remember just having this dreamy look on my face for ages😂

We also are delicious curry on our way home😋

There were some people in the street carrying Nonaka-san banners o I was thinking｢If I pass the audition I want to do a concert in Shizuoka too someday｣！

Now having passed、while not everything is fun I learn new things every single day and I have so many productive days！

During rehearsals I caused a lot of bother to the member-sans and I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight and even though I have even more worries too tomorrow will still come！I want to make sure I'm in peak physical condition so that tomorrow's show goes well！

Q+A: Once Foretold

Where did the name ‘Once Foretold’ come from? Robin and Nathan were always complete nerds growing up, and after like 2 weeks of really stupid names in the group chat Nathan found a Magic the Gathering card called “As Foretold” and one of us (can't remember who) decided to change the “As” to “Once” and that was that really. We were seriously pushed for time since we had our debut show not far after that and the band name was kind of the last thing on our minds at that point.

Where did you guys all meet? Nathan and Robin - We mostly met each other through school, Nathan (being a good friend to robin at the time, and just starting to learn how to scream) came along to a practice for Robin's old band called "Our Last Days" and we ended up making a band called "A Reflection of Yesterday" where we became mates with Lily through SFRQ and playing local shows (rip kings arms...). Nathan also used to play in a band called "Overseer" and that's where he met Max. We met shay after our first drummer Ross left us, he had just finished playing with Fire For Glory and I was at his last show with them where the frontman josh said that if anyone wanted him for a band they should snatch him up quickly because of how good he was. A little while later we put out a post on facebook looking for a drummer and he hit us up.  Lily - I used to play in a post-hardcore band in high school called “Hello Headache” and when we did Smokefree Rockquest Nathan and Robin’s band “A Reflection of Yesterday” was at my local heats. They fucking killed it and I was their biggest fan haha. We actually ended up becoming really good friends over time. I asked Max to join the band when I happened to stumble across a guitar demo he posted to Soundcloud and asked if he was interested in joining the band. I met Shay at an EP release show I was playing with my other band REI back in 2017 at the UFO and I totally didn’t know how amazing of a drummer he was until I got him to audition. Will be sad to see him go after these last shows we have booked.

Where do you guys draw inspiration for your music? Robin - Periphery, Architects, Dali Thundering Concept Lily - Maximum the Hormone Max - Thornhill, Silent Planet, Erra Nathan - I draw inspiration from whatever the other guys listen to. Also Parkway Drive, and Killswitch Engage.

Do you find that the creation process of your music is equally collaborative? Or do certain members take on certain elements? Robin and Max - We make a basic layout and present it to the band where they'll tweak it from there during the learning process, we tend to give Nathan creative freedom vocally which tends to yield the best results as it's something most of us are not exactly familiar with doing.

You guys just completed a little run of North Island shows - if you could put together a full NZ tour featuring any other two NZ bands - who would they be? Robin - Seas of Conflict, Pale Flag Max - Pale Flag, Seas of Conflict Lily - Banks Arcade, Lookin Up Nathan - Cripple Mr. Onion, Liit

Do you have any fun stories to share from your tour? Robin and Lily - it was a reaaaallly cold windy day (like 4ºC) when we got wellington, but Max decided he wanted to jump into the harbour from the jumping platform they have in front of Te Papa, he called Lily who was at our accommodation with the guys from REI and made him meet us there with Max's towel. After Max jumped in and came back up we noticed a bunch of signs warning people not to jump in as the water was polluted quite badly. after this for the rest of the night max was freaking out thinking he was going to get sick and googling all the different illnesses he could get from it. We just kind of kept adding fuel to the fire by telling him he was screwed and was going to start growing extra limbs and stuff haha. Max - Getting a speeding ticket for going 87 in an 80km zone. Nathan - Playing out of Auckland.

What can we expect from you guys in the near future? Unfortunately Shay will be leaving us soon, which is a huge bummer for all of us but we are extremely grateful for all he has done with us, so we will be on the hunt for a new drummer soon. We just finished pre production for the EP we have been working on and will start tracking the songs very soon, Shay will be recording the drums with us before he leaves which is awesome as he really contributed to the material we have made and it wouldn't really feel right for us to not capture that.

The one song I wish I wrote is... Robin - Garden of Sankhara by Monuments. That band really meant a lot for me when I was learning songwriting and this song really showed me that even if you are a crazy technical band, less is more sometimes. If I could only play music in one genre for the rest of my life it would be... Max - Probably metalcore/progressive metal because I find it most fun to play on guitar but. Pop punk is up there though although if I was just playing guitar in the genre I wouldn't want to do it forever. Robin - Progressive metal, the nature of it is to experiment and try new stuff, so it would keep me happy. Lily - Post-hardcore. I am das uber emo mans.

Three adjectives that describe my life are… Robin - Impulsive, chill, creative Max - active, nerdy, fun Lily - Dance, Gavin, Dance

If I held a world record it would be for…Robin - Losing a phone the most times in one party. Max - Having the most hobbies. Lily - The most powerful roundhouse kick in terms of weight to power ratio.

My first memory of loving music is… Robin - My sister used to show me a bunch of music and I owe a lot to that, but I remember hearing Metallicas “wherever I may roam” for the first time and being like “duuuuuuude”. the ambient intro into that chunky ass riff immediately got me hooked and I wouldn't stop listening to it. Max - Buying my first CD which was Linkin Park’s Meteora. Lily - Being introduced to Linkin Park by my older brother. I literally only listened to LP up until year 9.

The song of mine that I am the most proud of is… Robin - one you guys haven't heard yet! Max - Parallax Lily - Sovereign. It’s a song I wrote but tbh I’m mainly proud of it because the working title for the song was “Anus of God”.

My favourite venue I've ever played is… Robin - Kings arms, 100%. so many crazy bands have played there and I genuinely feel honoured to have been a part of it's story. Max - Kings Arms Lily - I’ve never played the Kings Arms but I wish I did. As a consolation, I’d say Valhalla in Wellington because WELLINGTON IS AN AWESOME CITY TO PLAY IN.

The ideal environment for me to create music in is… Robin - I used to say in my home recording set up, but now days as i'm getting into electronic production a lot more I sometimes really enjoy having a space with no distractions away from home, uni is great for that I find. Max - I’m just the classic bedroom soundcloud djent guitarist who just needs some monitors, an interface and a DAW with some decent plugins haha Lily - Alone in a room with a laptop that has Guitar Pro on it.

If I could have any two bands open for me they would be… Robin - Metallica and Slipknot... just to flex. Max - I feel awkward picking any bands to open for me because all the bands I think of are either equally as good or better Lily - The Jackson 5, and Momoiro Clover Z (But only with the OG line-up, they’re really not the same without Momoka)
