A preview of Blood Hunters #3
BLOOD HUNTERS #3
Dr. Doom has used his iron fists to keep his entire nation of Latveria safe from the vampire menace. But when a new threat arises elsewhere, Doom personally intervenes — with a vengeance! Elsewhere, in a remote farmhouse, a group of ordinary humans fight for survival against the bloodthirsty menace known as… Hellcow! (You didn’t think we’d get through this event without a Hellcow story — did you?!). And in the ongoing saga, Dagger and Elsa Bloodstone must reluctantly team up with the deadly White Widow in order to survive the night. Witness the formation of the soon-to-be-legendary BLOOD HUNTERS!

It's weird to admit, but I think I could enjoy a book about Bessie, the Hellcow. I don't know if she makes any major appearances beyond her debut in one of the early Howard the Duck stories, but she's a great character. A cow bitten by Dracula, she now hunts Dracula. Her motivations for this hunt are unclear, but I think it'd be interesting if she hates Dracula for taking her away from her owner. See, it's oddly compelling, for a simple parody of marvel's horror comics at the time. If the Tomb of Dracula got 70 issues, we could make a parody called Tomb of Bessie or something. And it'd be equally as compelling, if not more so.

@marvelousmrm I also hate the idea of Tomb of Dracula. Not so much because Dracula isn't fun, but because I don't love a book about hunting a whole race. Vampire Hunters like Blade freak me out, because they seem like indiscriminate killers (they apparently even wrote a black and white comic where Blade killed vampire children, I think). But on a more fun note: I love the idea of the vampire cow!

Giant-Size Man-Thing #5 (Gerber/Brunner, Aug 1975). Howard the Duck seizes his new backup feature with both… wings? Seeking a place for himself in this strange new world, he tracks a serial killer. It turns out to be a vampire cow created by Dracula. I refuse to pick Tomb of Dracula back up, even if he’s turning cows to vampires.

Deadpool and Hellcow's unlikely team-up
Deadpool is captured by a mad scientist who wants his regenerative healing factor. The mad scientist also has Hellcow as a captive so that he could drink her vampiric milk as a cure for his tuberculosis, hoping it would also grant him immortality. However, when the effects began to wane over time, he decided to capture Deadpool and attempt to reverse-engineer his healing factor instead. There is a flashback which explained Hellcow's backstory and her demise at the hands (or wings) of Howard the Duck. However, the mad scientist brought her back to the undead life by exhuming Hellcow's body from the grave and taking out the stake from the heart. Since the vampire cow's head was never removed, Hellcow can be resurrected. The mad scientist experiments on Deadpool by taking a sample from his brain to make it into a serum. The mad scientist injects himself with a new serum but it backfires on him when it contained Deadpool's cancerous cells. When the concoction ended up turning him into an undying, cancer-ridden mess, the mad scientist went on a rampage.
Hellcow kicks Deadpool's table allowing him to break free and release the vampire cow from the cage. Deadpool and Hellcow team up to take down the mad scientist. During the battle, Deadpool sees a hallucination of himself warning him not to shoot the mutated mad scientist but he doesn't hear him from the loud sounds of gunfire and not to mention, Deadpool is in a delirious state. The mad scientist knocks Deadpool with the silver cage door before turning to wound Hellcow with it. As Hellcow temporarily turned the merc into a vampire himself; Deadpool bit off a chunk of the mad scientist's body before setting him on fire, melting him into a puddle of goo with acid, and flushing the remains down the toilet.
