There are some things that the little Prince chooses to ignore.

The nonsense that goes on in the hotel, he ignores. The chaos that goes on daily in Hell, he tends to ignore. The absence of his mother and the gnawing sense of loneliness? Yes, he ignores those too. At the moment he is perched, firmly, upon his bed. Astride him is his ever loyal teddy bear companion and in his lap is a worn old book. It's dusty and damaged but everything inside is intact.

Pictures, clippings, scraps and bits... his parents, his sister... but there is not a sign of himself. Reaching the empty pages near the back, left barren and silent of memories. Clawed fingers curl sharp, sudden, tearing into the skin of the poor book as his teeth clench.

It was something he had found, snuck away. He shouldn't even have it.

"RrrrrRRRRAGH!"

A hard show of strength, the book sailing only to slam in the opposite wall. Were there any mementos? Any evidence of him in the history, anywhere? Only ten years old, he isn't even a sneeze in the grand scheme of the Morningstar family. Legacy is a lot to live up to, especially a legacy so old.

"...Snf..."

Slowly, he reaches over and pulls the bear into his lap in order to hug it tightly while curling in on himself.
