Rewatched Guardian of the Universe. Wanted to draw Gamera a stuff again

*Spacegodzilla stood before his progenitor, Godzilla, and the Guardian of the Universe, Gamera*

Gamera: "End this madness, Invader, or face your end!"

Godzilla: "I'll just kill you regardless, and especially after you imprisoned my son! Seriously, where did you come from?!"

Spacegodzilla: *cackles* "Fool, you don't get it. As these ants have begotten you, you have created me."

*DRAMATIC PAUSE*

Gamera: *turns to Godzilla* "Goji, why'd you create this mad beast?!"

Godzilla: "I didn't! He's talking crazy!"

Oxygen Destroyer - Guardian of the Universe (2024)

Macho Frost of Texas Toast Chainsaw Massacre looks at Guardian of the Universe, the brand new album from Seattle kaiju themed thrash death band Oxygen Destroyer, released August 9th on Redefining Darkness Records.

The Pacific Northwest’s own kaiju worshipping death thrash outfit Oxygen Destroyer has done it again. This time a tribute the mighty Heisei Gamera trilogy of the 90’s, which if you have not watched I HIGHLY recommend, they are whoopass. Every album OD drop they get better and better, and this point I don’t know how they are going to top this one. This is easily one of my favorite metal releases of 2024.

One thing I love about your OC Baxter is that he knows about the Gamera movies.

I know about them too, I used to watch them all the time before the pandemic!! (well, actually just the entire winter break of 2019, but still. Sweet memories)

Album Review: Oxygen Destroyer - Guardian of the Universe (Redefining Darkness Records)

Seattle’s Oxygen Destroyer return with their 3rd full length album, Guardian of the Universe, set for release on the 9th of August via Redefining Darkness Records. Gamera may be a strategist but Godzilla comes from the streets, he's built different, baptized by hydrogen flames and became an atomic monument to humanity's sins, made of pure black air force energy, he listens to nothing but Hollywood Undead, Eminem, Rob Zombie, and Akira Ifukube, other Kaiju may have the intellect or power but Goji has that dawg in him.

So uh- I did work on a visual art piece (Ascended!Gamera’s visual reference) for today, but didn’t get it done in time.

Instead, take this year-old short fic I wrote to tide ya’ll over. I do think my writing skill has improved since then, but this piece is still alright. I may make/release an updated version sometime soon.

The POV character in this is technically an OC, this is mostly canon-compliant (ignoring a few panels in The Last Hope which show a certain process happening slightly differently), have fun!
