Glacé cherries and candied peel have been ordered. All the other fruit (golden raisins, dried currants, dried cranberries) is pretty easy to find at the regular degular grocery store. I hope to find a true heirloom apple varietal to use this year as well (I usually use opal or gala). Countdown to Christmas puddings!
Oh shit, gotta order basins too!

I would like to know what is on your tomato sandwich, please? Are you a tomato and mayo? Some cheese? Black pepper? None of the above except tomato? Tomato with a tomato bun?
duke's mayo, thick slices of heirloom or beefsteak tomatoes, salt and black pepper on wheat bread. sometimes with cucumber if i'm feeling really fancy. the most important thing, as all tomato sandwich connoisseurs know, is you gotta use good ripe summer tomatoes fresh from a farm or garden. those sad little orange things trying to be tomatoes at the grocery store just will not cut it!!

Still a work in progress but my little art wall side of the new room is coming together and im in love with it 😍 i be feelin myself so much more with the new space 🥰
#personal#selfie#punk#pretty#grunge#most of the items are either: -handmade by me#-handmade by local artists#-given to me as gifts from people i love/d#-found on trips to new places with people i love/d#-thrifted or gotten from local small business markets#so yeah im pretty fucken happy with how its turning out. some of the corners need more art and i will make it#as soon as i figure out what i want and where. ive half made the next one for the space next to the door above that plague nurse print#by valeriadarkmoth on etsy incase you wondered but its gonna be a family heirloom silver bracelet as a frame for some skeleton print#lesggings ive cut up and come little red and black beads and skull beads as tassels#really do feel like the tiger with the best enclosure when i look around this room made with stuff i love and memories that mean the most#its so cool. as a crafter i make lots of stuff all the time but its really cool to finally see it all out and be able to look around and#be like. yo damn i made like 60%-70% of all of this im so talented fuck yes go me. and other artists made the rest? this room rules#and yeah. i feel like an elegant rich old vampire queen within here ok? and yeah thats partly because im part vampire but the vibes#the vibes in this space are immaculate and they make me feel good as a person too. its so very much just made of stuff i love and has#worked out to be cohesive and fucking beautiful from every angle#the floortime spots have their own interesting shelves of sentimental trinkets and handmade goods to peep at from that view#ive never been more in love with a space. ive been nervous to post it and its still not done but i really am so in love with what ive built#i built it for me. of my stuff and my memories. its no one elses and i actually genuinely dont care if you dont like it because after years#of abuse. i built this. by myself. for me. i didnt just hang some shit i made most of it. for me. its mine and i did it myself.#chose which memories of people i love still get to be in this home. i choose the light and the heat and i choose that no bad energies may#enter my space without my permission ever again. my fortress of trinkets filled with love that remind me i am safe now#its almost enough to cry over but everything here is so beautiful i dont feel the need to cry. just gaze in wonder at what ive done#decor#witch#vampire

Right off the farm, dirt included. Or should I say soil. Since my favorite delivery service went out of business this year, I’m grateful to find another. This one deals only with locally produced products so it should get interesting here in a couple of months. Tastes so much better than what we get at the store.
Beets, squash, Michigan peaches. And so much more not pictured. Support your local farmers!

Getting ready to make a pot of beets, these are a nice heirloom variety I’ve grown myself.
Yummy! 😋

I work at a Food Hub Co-op that sells local produce to grocery stores, restaurants, catering companies, and such.
Last year the major grocery store we work with demanded several farmers to slash their produce prices because they could “find them cheaper elsewhere”. Some of the farmers caved but we still ended up with so many apples that just wouldn’t sell.
Meanwhile that same grocery store was selling that produce for twice as much as they bought it for.
The profit is not going to the farmers who grow your food or the employees who help distribute it. It’s going straight into corporate pockets.
