. It takes two to love, as it takes two to hate. And I will keep loving you, in spite of yourself. My heart beats faster when I think of you. Nothing else matters.

'Possession' – my demon lover on Kino Film Collection and Shudder
Mark (Sam Neill) comes home to West Berlin to find his flighty wife Anna (Isabelle Adjani in an almost bug-eyed performance) ready to divorce him in the opening moments of Andrjez Zulawski’s mad horror psychodrama Possession (France, 1981). Mark is a spy so, distraught and angry, he hires private detectives to track down her lover. When they go missing, he discovers a secret unknown to either of…

spooky tuesday is a (now not so new!) podcast where we’re breaking down all of our favorite slashers, thrillers, monster movies and black comedies on the new scariest day of the week.
first things first: everyone say, “happy birthday, monica!" for our special girl's special day, we decided to do a very special film. this week on spooky tuesday, we're covering possession (1981), the video nasty that made waves at cannes… and then promptly got stuck in the vault. starring isabelle adjani and sam neill as a couple whose marriage is falling apart, this peculiar picture has been much debated over the years and is open to all kinds of interpretation. on our latest episode, we're doing our best to make sense of what exactly is happening here — and just how it makes us feel.
and don’t forget! our merch store is open now through 11:59 p.m. pst on friday, april 12! head on over to pick up your spooky swag!
give spooky tuesday a listen on apple podcasts, spotify, iheart radio, or stitcher
