Otto Heino (1915-2009, USA).

Otto Heino was one of twelve children born of Finnish immigrants, Lena and August Heino, in East Hampton, Connecticut. His family ran a dairy farm in quiet farm country. Otto Heino's involvement with ceramics began while serving in the U.S. Air Force in England; during a military leave, he spent several days watching Bernard Leach throw pots. Following his return to the US, he used his GI Bill funding in 1949 to study ceramics at the League of New Hampshire Arts and Crafts, in Concord, New Hampshire. There he met Vivika, his teacher, whom he was married to in 1950.

O Mini Mundo, em Gramado, é aquele lugar para se encantar. Onde é lindo ver o olhar curioso das crianças, assim como dos adultos. É daqueles lugares onde é sempre bom voltar! . Eu fui visita-lo e tive como companhia para esse passeio nada mais que D. Jussara Höppner, proprietária do Mini Mundo, que me levou por cada cantinho, contando detalhes de como as miniaturas foram construídas. Nem preciso dizer que foi uma honra 😍 . 🔸A história do Mini Mundo começa quando o Sr. Otto Höppner (sogro de D. Jussara) e seu filho Heino constroem uma casinha de bonecas e um conjunto de castelos, para as crianças da família brincarem e, que também estaria a disposição dos hóspedes do Hotel Ritta Höppner, também da família. . 🔸36 anos depois o Mini Mundo é um sucesso entre os visitantes que chegam a Gramado. Há sempre uma miniatura nova para encher os olhos. Com todos os detalhes que vocês podem imaginar! . 🔸E para deixar ainda mais encantador algumas pessoas da família Höppner viraram personagens como a Ursinha Ana, o Urso Gui, a Bruxa Ju que é do bem e protege a família (esse nome soa familiar?!? 😁😉). . 🔸Ah no Natal uma das personagens ganha vida e durante o mês de dezembro circula feliz pelo Mini Mundo 😍🎄. É a Natália, a menininha do conto "Uma história de Natal". E eu tive o privilégio de conhece-la em miniatura e em forma humana! 😁❤️ . 🔸Caso vocês subam a Serra para o Natal Luz, aproveitem para visitar o Mini Mundo e conhecer a Natália pessoalmente.
