perhaps the reason why aup ended like *that* is because it was not supposed to have a happy ending in the first place, but sayren didnt have the guts to deal with readers' backlash for when they finally kill off the main character so a half baked happy ending is what we get 😔
#for a happy ending of a story to be narratively satisfying the characters gotta actively work hard for it#this happy ending feels empty because quite frankly speaking ludger did nothing to deserve it#he has zero character developments from the beginning to the end and has always been the same#well except for his emotional state getting worse over time#bc instead of making any attempt at all to healthily address it like a mentally mature 40yo adult he let it swallow him whole#(not that im necessarily blaming him but its quite frustrating to see him remain unchanged if aup is meant to be a redemption story)#his OPness is inherent#his genius is inherent#(this is not to say he isnt hardworking / only relying on his inborn talents but the author repeatively failed the 'show dont tell' checks)#(bc it was only implied in the past and we've never truly seen it in the canon present timeline either)#his kindness is inherent#ngl dad!ludger content doesnt appeal to me as much as dad!edgeworth cuz the latter is the fruit of the character's growth and hard labor#while the former is well... its just who he is#usually i love found family content but in aup it bores my mind out bc his interactions w the students + owens are so static & predictable#it was heartwarming at the moment of adoption but later on i find it as tedious as reading generic established romantic relationships#was it because of the lack of tensions and conflicts i wonder#they all became his yes men and no one ever actively challenged his unhealthy mindset or behaviors#anyway id have been more interested if he recognized his biases/favoritism/prejudices towards some certain characters & worked to change it#but welp. that would require character growth which is too much to expect from him ig#he has learnt quite nothing from his journey and tbh aup would ironically feel more meaningful if it ended on a tragic note#ofco i got noblesse'd again 😔#would i kill for aup to have a happy ending? yes#would i rather have a sad ending over the half baked and empty good ending we get? also yes#if it must burn then let the whole world burn. cuz at least it would be more much memorable and impactful that way#and i wouldnt have to feel this disappointed and lose all of my interests in one of my only two beloved aroace MCs in aup </2#rant

The warmth of the sunlight and the gentle sound of waves from outside made everything feel peaceful and calm—your perfect little haven. You were curled up on the couch with your son, Rustyn, nestled comfortably in your lap, his small head resting against your chest. He was two, but sometimes you marveled at how much older he seemed, with his sharp curiosity and his endless questions.
Rustyn’s favorite book was in your hands as you read to him, your voice soft and soothing as you flipped through the colorful pages. Every few moments, Rustyn would point to a picture and ask you about it. His little hands would grab at the air in excitement as he processed each new detail.
“Mommy, why is that bunny wearing a hat?” Rustyn asked, his bright blue eyes full of curiosity.
You chuckled softly, brushing a hand through his soft curls. “Maybe he’s going on an adventure, sweetie. What do you think?”
Rustyn considered this seriously, his face scrunching up in concentration. “Yeah, maybe. I like adventures.”
“I know you do,” you said with a smile, kissing the top of his head. “You’ll have lots of them when you get bigger.”
Rustyn nodded, clearly satisfied with your answer, and snuggled closer to you. He let out a small sigh, content in the warmth of your embrace. You couldn’t help but smile, your heart swelling with love as you continued to read. These were the moments you cherished—the quiet, everyday moments that made your little family feel complete.
As you were nearing the end of the story, you noticed Drew standing in the kitchen, leaning casually against the counter. He was watching the two of you with that familiar look of affection in his eyes, the one that always made you feel so loved. But today, there was something else—a mischievous twinkle that you hadn’t quite noticed before.
Drew took a sip of water, then set the glass down with a small, playful smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. You raised an eyebrow at him, wondering what he was up to. He didn’t say anything, just casually strolled into the living room and leaned down to scoop Rustyn up from your lap.
“Come here, little man,” Drew said, his voice warm as he lifted Rustyn into his arms.
Rustyn squealed in delight, wrapping his tiny arms around Drew’s neck and giggling as Drew spun him around in a playful circle. “Dada!” Rustyn cried out, his laughter echoing through the room.
“Having fun with Mommy?” Drew asked, settling Rustyn on his hip, still grinning as he glanced at you.
“Yeah! Mommy was reading to me,” Rustyn said proudly, his voice full of excitement.
But as Rustyn snuggled against Drew, his sharp little eyes caught something unusual. He tilted his head, his gaze narrowing in confusion as he stared at Drew’s left hand. You hadn’t noticed it before, but now, following Rustyn’s gaze, you realized that Drew’s wedding ring was missing.
Rustyn furrowed his tiny brow, clearly puzzled. His voice, though small and innocent, was filled with a sense of concern. “Dada...where’s your ring?”
You blinked, surprised by how quickly Rustyn had noticed. You hadn’t even realized it yourself, but there it was—Drew’s left hand, conspicuously bare. You glanced at Drew, raising an eyebrow as you waited for him to respond.
Drew, ever the playful one, kept his cool. He smiled down at Rustyn, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly. “Oh, that? Dada just didn’t feel like wearing it today, buddy.”
Your mouth dropped open slightly as you watched Drew, a mixture of amusement and curiosity bubbling up inside you. What was he up to? He knew how much that ring meant to both of you, and though it wasn’t a serious situation, you couldn’t help but wonder how this was going to play out.
Rustyn, however, wasn’t so easily fooled. His little face scrunched up again, and he looked from Drew’s hand to your face, his innocent expression filled with concern. He tugged lightly on Drew’s shirt, trying to make sense of what he was hearing.
“Dada,” Rustyn said in his most serious tone, his voice soft but full of wisdom beyond his years, “you know you gonna make Mommy sad.”
The room fell into silence, the weight of Rustyn’s innocent words settling between the three of you. You felt your heart swell as you looked at your son, his little face so earnest and full of love for both of you. His concern for your feelings, even at such a young age, was enough to make your heart melt.
Drew’s grin faltered slightly as he looked at Rustyn, clearly taken aback by his son’s sharp observation. The teasing light in his eyes softened, and he let out a small chuckle, shaking his head in disbelief. “Oh really?” he asked, his voice filled with affection as he looked back down at Rustyn. “You think Mommy will be sad if I don’t wear my ring?”
Rustyn nodded, his tiny hand reaching out to touch Drew’s bare finger. “Yeah, ‘cause it means you love her.”
You felt a lump form in your throat at Rustyn’s sweet words, and you had to blink back the sudden tears that pricked at your eyes. How did this little boy know so much? How could someone so young be so in tune with your feelings? It was moments like these that reminded you just how special Rustyn was.
Drew’s eyes softened even further as he looked at you, and the playful smirk faded into something much more tender. He reached into his pocket, pulling out his wedding ring with a slow, deliberate motion. He slid it back onto his finger, never breaking eye contact with you.
“Well, we can’t have Mommy being sad, can we, buddy?” Drew said softly, his voice warm as he turned his attention back to Rustyn. “Is that better?”
Rustyn’s face lit up with a smile so wide it made your heart flutter. “Yeah, Dada! Now you make Mommy happy again!”
Drew chuckled, glancing at you with a loving smile. “What do you think? Is our little man right? Does the ring make you happy?”
You smiled back at him, your heart full as you nodded. “He’s always right,” you said softly, reaching out to gently squeeze Drew’s hand. “You know how much that ring means to me.”
Drew leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead, his hand still entwined with yours. “I know, baby,” he whispered, his voice low and full of affection.
Rustyn, clearly pleased with the resolution of the situation, snuggled into Drew’s chest, his tiny arms wrapping around his dad’s neck. “Dada loves Mommy,” he said with absolute certainty, as if there had never been any doubt.
Drew smiled, looking down at Rustyn with nothing but love in his eyes. “You’re right, Rusty. I love Mommy very much.”
Rustyn nodded solemnly, as if he had solved a great mystery. “I knew it,” he said with a proud grin.
You couldn’t help but laugh softly, your heart swelling with love for both Drew and Rustyn. You reached out, wrapping your arms around both of them, pulling them into a warm hug. “I love you both so much,” you whispered, pressing a kiss to Rustyn’s cheek before turning to Drew and kissing him softly on the lips.
Drew smiled against your lips, his hand resting on the small of your back as he held you close. “We love you too,” he murmured, his voice full of warmth and tenderness.
As the three of you sat there, wrapped up in each other’s love, the world outside seemed to fade away. It was just the three of you—your perfect little family, full of love, laughter, and moments like these that made everything else seem small in comparison.
Rustyn, ever the observant toddler, let out a small yawn, his little body relaxing as the excitement of the day began to catch up with him. He nestled deeper into Drew’s arms, his eyes fluttering closed as he snuggled into the warmth of his dad’s chest.
As you watched Drew tuck your son into bed, your heart swelled with love once more. It was moments like these—simple, sweet moments—that made you realize just how lucky you were to have this little family.
As Drew gently closed Rustyn’s bedroom door, he turned to you with a soft smile, his hand reaching for yours. “You know I was just teasing with the ring, right?” he asked quietly, pulling you into his arms as he led you back toward the living room. His voice was low and full of sincerity now, the earlier playfulness gone, replaced by a quiet tenderness.
You smiled up at him, resting your hand against his chest as you felt the steady rhythm of his heartbeat under your palm. “I know,” you replied softly, your eyes meeting his. “But Rustyn was right. It does mean a lot to me, even if it’s just a ring.”
Drew’s expression softened even further, and he lifted your hand to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss to the back of it. “I know, baby. I’ll never take it off again, I promise,” he said, his tone serious but still filled with that warmth you loved so much. “At least not without a really good reason.”
You laughed softly, leaning into him as his arms wrapped around you, pulling you close. “You better not,” you teased, your voice playful but laced with affection.
Drew smiled down at you, his forehead resting against yours as he held you in the quiet comfort of the moment. “I know I joke around sometimes,” he began, his voice barely above a whisper. “But I don’t ever want you to doubt how much I love you. This ring—it’s a promise, not just for show.”
Your heart swelled at his words, and you nodded, your hand still resting against his chest as you leaned into him. “I never doubt it,” you whispered back. “Not for a second.”
The two of you stood there for a few more moments, wrapped up in each other’s warmth. The house was quiet now, save for the soft sound of Rustyn’s rhythmic breathing coming from his bedroom, and the golden light of the setting sun cast a warm glow through the windows, making everything feel peaceful and serene.
Drew’s arms tightened around you slightly, and he let out a contented sigh, his lips brushing against your temple as he held you. “Rustyn’s growing up so fast,” he murmured, his voice filled with a mixture of pride and awe. “I still can’t believe how smart he is—how much he picks up on.”
You smiled softly, pulling back just enough to look up at him. “I know,” you agreed, your voice filled with love for your little boy. “He’s always surprising me with how much he understands. I wasn’t expecting him to notice your ring like that.”
Drew chuckled, shaking his head slightly. “Neither was I. I thought I’d get away with the prank at least until bedtime.” His smile softened, and he glanced down at his hand, where the ring now sat securely. “But you know what? I’m glad he noticed.”
You tilted your head, curious. “Why’s that?”
Drew’s eyes met yours again, his gaze full of love and affection. “Because it reminded me how much this little ring means. Not just to you, but to him too. He understands that it’s important—he gets that it’s a symbol of how much we love each other. And that… well, that makes me even prouder to wear it.”
Your heart melted at his words, and you reached up to cup his face, your thumb gently brushing along his jawline. “You’re a good man, Drew Starkey,” you whispered, your voice thick with emotion.
Drew smiled, his eyes soft and full of love. “And you’re the love of my life,” he replied, his voice just as tender.
He leaned down then, capturing your lips in a slow, sweet kiss that made your heart flutter in your chest. His hands rested gently on your waist as he pulled you even closer, and you could feel the steady beat of his heart against yours, a perfect rhythm that matched the quiet contentment of the moment.
When you finally pulled away, Drew rested his forehead against yours once more, his breath warm against your skin. “Thank you,” he whispered, his voice so quiet it was almost lost in the stillness of the room.
“For what?” you asked softly, your fingers gently threading through his hair.
“For this. For our life. For Rustyn. For everything.” He pulled back just enough to look into your eyes, his expression filled with so much love that it made your heart ache. “I wouldn’t trade a single moment for anything.”
You smiled, feeling the same rush of love and gratitude that you felt every time you looked at him. “Neither would I,” you whispered back.
The two of you stood there everything felt perfect—your little family, your life together, the quiet joy that filled your days. It wasn’t always grand gestures or big moments that made life special. Sometimes, it was the small, simple things—like the way Drew looked at you when he wore his ring, or the way Rustyn’s innocent questions could change the course of a day—that reminded you just how lucky you were.

As the soft morning light filters through the curtains of your bedroom, you slowly begin stretching your limbs and blinking away the remnants of sleep. As you slowly settle into wakefulness, you hear the screeching sound of the baby monitor on your nightstand coming to life and you feel how your heart flutters happily in your chest as a familiar sound comes through. The sweet sound of your daughter’s happy coos, accompanied by Simon’s deep, gentle voice, fill the room with sweetness.
“Morning, sweet pea,” Simon’s voice crackles through the monitor followed by the sound of your baby happily gurgling at her father and then exclaiming a little more whiny sound. “Yeah, yeah, I know you’re hungry, but we have to get you changed before we can make breakfast, lovie.”
A smile tugs at the corners of your lips as you lie there, basking in the warmth and comfort of your bed. The love and joy that echo through the monitor remind you of just how much love fills your home. It’s moments like these that make your heart swell with an indescribable sense of happiness.
Your mind wanders, and you find yourself reminiscing about the journey that brought you here.
From the moment you and Simon first met, there was an undeniable connection, a spark that ignited and grew into a love that was both fierce and tender. However, it hadn’t been that easy to convince him that he in fact was deserving of such love. He had been scared that he would mess it up, mess you up, convinced himself that he wasn’t able to make anyone happy and that he was broken beyond repair. But you had been rather insisting, and he had finally let his walls crumble and let you into his heart.
And as you had expected, all his worries had been unfounded. He is the best, most loving partner you could ever have dreamt of.
The love you share with him is a love that feels like home.
And then, the arrival of your daughter added a new dimension to your love story. From the first time you had held her tiny hand, you knew that your family was complete. Watching Simon transform into the most loving and doting father has only deepened your admiration and affection for him.
And as you lie here,  reminiscing on your life, you can’t help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for the love that surrounds you.
With a content sigh, you finally pull yourself out of bed, ready to start the weekend with your little family.
As you make your way down the stairs you can hear the sound of your daughter’s laughter from the kitchen, filling your heart with warmth and you can’t help but smile and make your way towards the source of the joyful commotion. As you enter the room, the morning sun gently illuminates the kitchen, casting a soft glow over the room, and you are greeted by a heartwarming sight. Simon is standing at the stove, stirring a pot of millet porridge, your daughter’s favourite, while she is sitting in her highchair, which has been moved away from the kitchen table and closer to the counter, so she can see what Simon is doing, clapping her hands in delight.
The aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air, mingling with the comforting scent of the porridge. You can’t help but feel a surge of immense love and gratitude for the man who stands before you, effortlessly balancing the roles of partner and father.
Simon turns towards you. “Good morning, love,” he greets you, his eyes twinkling with warmth, the bottom half of his face covered by a black mask. He had started to wear it around the house again after your daughter had been born.
“Good morning,” you reply, your voice filled with a mix of amusement and adoration. “I see you two are having quite the breakfast party.”
Simon laughs softly and nods. “We thought we’d surprise you with breakfast in bed, but it seems that someone couldn’t wait,” he says, glancing at your daughter, who just giggles in response.
You walk over to them, planting a soft kiss on Simon’s masked cheek before planting another on your daughter’s, much chubbier, one. “Well, I can’t say I’m disappointed. This is the best way to wake up,” you say, gazing at your little family with a heart full of love.
Together you finish cooking breakfast, porridge for the baby and scrambled eggs and turkey bacon for you and Simon.
You begin to set the table as Simon picks up your daughter, supporting her with one arm as he settles her on his hip, so he can move her chair back to the table, but before he can grab the chair he stops dead in his tracks.
Your little girl has grabbed a fistful of his mask in her tiny hand. She doesn’t seem to be pulling on it, or otherwise trying to take it off him, but she also doesn’t seem to want to let go of it when Simon gently takes her hand to get her to release her grip.
“Sweetheart, please…” Simon says softly, but he trails off, a wave of emotions flickering over his eyes, but they end up having a sort of determinant look to them as they lock with his daughter’s.
You feel how your heart skips a beat as Simon lets go of her little hand to instead grip the place his mask is fastened.
With a deep breath, Simon removes the mask, revealing his face to your daughter for the very first time in her young life. You feel goosebumps rise along your arms as Simon’s features come to light. The room falls silent, and time seems to stand still.
Your daughter’s gaze is fixed on Simon, you can see a whirlwind of emotions flickering across her little face.
It’s a pivotal moment that holds the power to change everything. You can see how Simon, too, feels a mix of emotions coursing through him.
He has once mentioned to you that he was afraid that his scars would scare her, but you have had a suspicion that something else might be the reason he has kept the mask on in front of her for.
He does have a few scars from his work, but they are nowhere near severe enough to scare anyone. You do have another theory to why he has kept it on, one he hasn’t directly confirmed, but a conversation from your pregnancy has stuck with you.
He had voiced his concern that something would happen to him on the battlefield. not because he was that concerned for his own wellbeing, he knew what the risks of his job was, but because he was afraid of something happening to him, leaving you and your little one alone in the world. He had, on the whole, had many worries about becoming a father.
He had been worried that his past had broken him so severely that he couldn’t be the dad your daughter needed him to be. Like the fear he also had about you and your relationship in the beginning of it, the fear that he couldn’t be the man you deserved.
He has, in all the time you’ve known him, done everything to disprove that concern, he is the best partner you could ask for and now the most lovable dad to your little girl, but you know that he still has his concerns and that his feelings about them are valid.
You think the mask has served as a sort of safety blanket for him. Like he thought that it would be easier for you and your daughter to lose him if your little girl couldn’t remember his face, or something like that. You find that thought heart rending.
You know that his job comes with a risk, you had known it when you got together and you had known it when you married him and you had known it when you got your daughter. Losing him on the battlefield would be your worst nightmare come true. You know that he is smart, strong and capable, but you also know that there are no guarantees in war, which, to you, is just all the more reason for  your daughter to know her father’s face, but you have let Simon choose for himself when he was ready for that.
But you don’t want to think about any of that right now, so you push those thoughts away, and instead let yourself be completely mesmerised by the sight before you
Your little girl focuses on his, now revealed, face, taking in every detail. Her eyes widening in surprise, curiosity, and perhaps even a hint of fear, her little mouth forming a perfect ‘o’ of surprise as she absorbs every detail of her father’s face.
“It’s just me, princess,” Simon tells her, his voice filled with a mix of amusement, nerves and an overwhelming love for his little girl. His eyes, once guarded, now shine with warmth and affection.
The confirmation of his voice is what convinces her. A wide smile spread across her little face, revealing the adorable dimples she has inherited from Simon, on her sweet, chubby cheeks. She lets out a happy squeal, as she realises that it really is her father who’s now smiling down at her, a set of dimples matching hers on his cheeks.
She giggles happily, which, to you, is the most beautiful sound in the entire world. Her little hands starting to explore Simon’s face, her tiny fingers tracing the lines and contours of it. It’s a gentle and tender gesture that speaks volumes. You watch in awe as the beautiful moment between your daughter and her father unfolds in front of you. It’s a moment you will cherish forever.
When she finally seems satisfied with her mapping of his face with her small hand, she turns her head to look over at you with an excited expression on her little face, one that conveys something along the lines of ‘you seeing this too?’ Her eyes lighting up, reflecting the genuine joy that fills her little heart.
“Yeah, baby, that’s your daddy,” you smile at her, and she lets out another happy shriek before looking back at Simon again, happily nuzzling her little face into his neck. “He’s handsome, isn’t he?” You continue as you step forward, placing a hand on her back, rubbing gentle circles over the dusty rose bodystocking that she is wearing, one that Simon picked out when he got her ready and you still laid in bed.
You look up at Simon, a soft smile on his lips as your eyes lock.
“He never wants to believe me when I tell him, but he is actually the most handsome man I know,” you say, with a playful glint in your eyes. “He’s probably the most handsome man in the whole world, actually.”
Simon chuckles, his cheeks turning slightly pink. “Oh, come on now,” he replies, his voice a mix of embarrassment and amusement.“I think you might be a bit biassed there, love.”
You shake your head, a warm smile spreading across your face. “Nah, I don’t think I am,” you state, wrapping your arms around both Simon and your little girl in his arms. “Just stating facts. I actually got the most handsome husband and the most beautiful daughter in the whole wide world.” you say with a content sigh, hugging your little family tightly.
It’s a hug that speaks volumes, conveying love, affection and acceptance. In this embrace, you know that you truly have the most beautiful family in the world.
As you finally let go of them you place a sweet kiss on your daughter’s little nose. She giggles joyfully, and you can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratefulness over what a happy little girl you have. Simon seems to be thinking the same as he smiles down at her.
But your adorable little troublemaker doesn’t seem to be done with causing havoc yet.
She reaches out her tiny hand and grabs for the mask again. Simon hesitates for a moment, looking down at the fabric in his hand, the symbol of his past, before letting her have it. The mask, once a symbol of his doubts and fears, now becomes a simple toy for your daughter as she happily shakes it up and down, a cheeky grin on her little face.
You and Simon lock eyes, and then the two of you burst out in laughter.
As your laughter fills the room, a sense of pure joy washes over you. You look at Simon, his eyes sparkling with happiness, and you know in this moment, that the love and bond the three of you share is unbreakable, and it fills your heart with an indescribable warmth.
With a deep sense of gratitude and contentment, you take a mental snapshot of this beautiful moment. It’s a memory that will forever be etched in your mind, a testament to the strength of your love and the joy that radiates from your little girl.
As the laughter subsides, you gather your family close again, embracing the love and happiness that surrounds you. In this embrace, you know that you have everything you could ever need.
Your daughter’s laughter and Simon’s unwavering love fill your life with immeasurable happiness, and you couldn’t be more grateful for the beautiful family you have created.

“she said whaaaat? no way!”
you were scrolling on your phone in the living room when you heard that familiar voice pierce through the comfortable silence — satoru’s voice, a bit more high pitched this time, almost like he couldn’t believe what he had heard.
your boyfriend was over at your parents’ place for the first time and seemed to get along just fine with your mother in the kitchen. you could hear their giggles and gasps every now and then whilst your body was resting on the couch.
their voices were getting louder by the minute, thus you decide to stand up and go check on them. you reach the doorstep and instantly smile at the heartwarming scene that greets you;
your mother chopping up some vegetables, chuckling whilst excitedly telling her recent gossips to satoru, who was leaning back against the kitchen counter next to her — his arms crossed and those pretty dimples of his apparent on his face as he carefully listens to your mother’s stories.
“seems like you two are getting along well already, eh?” you chuckle after observing them for a little while longer. your presence instantly make satoru smile even more (if that were even possible), his eyes glimmering at the sight of you;
“hey, baby!” the white-haired man walks over to you and hugs you tightly before letting go, though his hand remains at your waist. the grin on his face widens, “your mother has the most juiciest of gossips that i’ve ever heard around town, i’m telling ya — stuff’s got me absolutely hooked.”
your mother responds to that with a short giggle. she glances up from her cutting board and sends you a look — one that emits her approval of the lover you’ve chosen. it seems like satoru’s charming personality succeeded into mellowing even your parents’ hearts.
“heh, i do actually believe that.” you nod with your own cheeky grin. your mother was like a newspaper — you always hear all the recent stories and gossips from her.
it’s no wonder satoru instantly clicked with her; if it isn’t your mother you’re gossiping with, it would usually be that cheeky sorcerer instead. he’s a great listener after all, his reactions are priceless to you.
you move over to stand next to your mother and decide to help her out with cutting up the veggies. satoru starts to search the area in hopes to find an apron for himself, though was quickly interrupted by the gruff voice of your dad echoing through the house;
“satoru, c’mere, boy! help an old man out.”
you were a bit surprised that your dad was specifically asking for satoru to go help him (your mom as well; however she knowingly snickers afterwards).
you can’t remember the last time your father had directly asked help from someone he barely knew. sometimes he wouldn’t even ask your mother or you for help. that’s how stubborn your dad is.
or, was — satoru’s an exception, it seems like.
your boyfriend was also a bit stunned — though not in a bad way at all. the corners of his lips curl up in a fond smile, his blue eyes shining ever so brightly due to the feeling of being needed and accepted in this household. his beloved’s household.
it felt like he had achieved all he wanted in life — hell, satoru was ready to risk it all and ask for your hand in marriage right then and there; that’s how joyous and confident this moment made him.
“coming, sir!” satoru calls out. you could’ve sworn his voice cracked a tad bit, however you decide not to comment on it. your boyfriend turns around with the biggest grin on his face and quickly goes to stand between your mother and you.
one of his hands rests on your waist, the other on your mom’s shoulder as he places a sweet kiss to the crown of your head. a rush of warmth surged through his body as he saw you look up at him with those captivating and pretty eyes, making satoru feel even more content than he already was —
“i’ll be right back. if you ladies need a helping hand, just give me a holler.” satoru says and smoothly steals a kiss on your cheek before hurrying towards your father, whose voice sounded from the bathroom.
there was a spring in his step. a positive change in his already ethereal looks as you watch him disappear from the room. you shake your head and chuckle at satoru’s excitement. you knew exactly what he was feeling, because you felt the same once you realised just how fast your parents seemed to accept and approve of him;
relieved, comfortable and happy.

omg i have a question for the bitchy carlos fic -
so nicole piastri came on red flags podcast recently and spoke about oscar and his childhood, what if there’s an au segment of her talking about older piastri & what would his reaction be
okay this turned out being way longer than intended bc i added the scene of carlos and nicole meeting bc why not, i hope i'm not annoying you with too much little bitch content, i'll promise i'll post for other drivers now READ LITTLE BITCH HERE
Host: "So, Nicole, we've heard a lot about Oscar's journey to F1, but what can you tell us about his relationship with his sister, YN? She has quite the personality online, doesn't she? Can you tell us about their relationship growing up?
Nicole:"Oh, those two. They've always had such a special bond. YN is a few years older than Oscar and yes, she's known as the Piastri who fights people online, but she's always been fiercely protective of him. From the moment YN first held Oscar as a baby, she appointed herself his protector. It was adorable and sometimes a bit much, but always came from a place of love.
Host: Can you give us an example?
Nicole: "When Oscar was about six and YN was maybe nine. Oscar had just started school and was having trouble making friends. He was quite shy back then, if you can believe it. One day, YN overheard some kids teasing Oscar in the playground."
Host: "Oh no, what happened?"
Nicole: "Well, YN marched right up to those boys and she told them off in no uncertain terms. She said, and I quote, 'My brother is going to be a famous race car driver one day, and you'll all be asking for his autograph. So you'd better be nice to him now!' The boys were so shocked they just stood there with their mouths open."
Host:"That's amazing! Did it help Oscar?"
Nicole: "It did, actually. Oscar was so impressed by his big sister standing up for him that it gave him a confidence boost. And you know what? Some of those boys ended up becoming his good friends. They still joke about YN's 'prophecy' coming true now that Oscar's in F1."
Host: "That's such a heartwarming story! It's clear YN has always been protective of Oscar. Now, speaking of relationships, we've heard that YN is dating Carlos Sainz. Can you tell us a bit about how that came to be?"
Nicole: "Oh, that's an interesting story! YN actually told us she was dating Carlos a while back, but we weren't surprised at all. We knew she liked him since that time in Singapore last year when our family visited. YN was trying so hard to act mad about Carlos' win, but it was obvious she was impressed."
Host: "So you had suspicions before they even got together?"
Nicole: "Absolutely! Even before that Singapore trip, YN used to go on these multiple rants about, in her words, 'this arrogant Spaniard' who kept pushing Oscar off track. She called him something I won't repeat but I'm pretty sure everyone knows it, it absolutely irritated her. But you know what? We all knew that deep down, she had a crush on him."
Host: "That's quite the turnaround! Have you met Carlos — as YN’s partner this time — yet?"
Nicole: "I haven’t, actually. I’m hoping to do that in Baku after the summer break. But I can see Carlos brings out a softer side of YN that we don't often see in public. Don't get me wrong, she's still fiercely stubborn and outspoken, but with Carlos, there's this gentleness that comes out. He seems to really understand and appreciate her passion, and he's not intimidated by her strong personality at all. In fact, he seems to admire it."
Host: "It sounds like they complement each other well. How has Oscar taken to their relationship?"
Nicole: "Oscar's been very supportive. I think he appreciates seeing his sister happy, and of course, it doesn't hurt that Carlos is someone he respects on the track. It's actually quite funny to see YN now, cheering for both Oscar and Carlos during races. She's always torn between wanting Oscar to win and not wanting Carlos to lose."
Host: "That's nice, Carlos sounds like quite the gentleman. Has YN picked up any Spanish since they started dating?"
Nicole: "Oh, that's actually a funny story. We love to tease YN about this. You see, she failed Spanish in high school - couldn't conjugate a verb to save her life. And now here she is, dating a Spaniard! Carlos has been trying to teach her, but let's just say it's a work in progress. She can now order a beer and ask where the bathroom is, so I suppose that's progress!"
Host: "That's hilarious! I'm sure she'll be fluent in no time."
Nicole: "Bless her, she's really trying. She's determined to have a full conversation with Carlos' parents in Spanish by the end of the year. We'll see how that goes!"

Baku had a special energy during race weekends. The tight streets and high-pressure atmosphere gave you a mixture of excitement and nerves, but today, the butterflies in your stomach had nothing to do with the Grand Prix. Instead, it was about the lunch you were about to have, where Carlos would meet your mom—officially, as your boyfriend this time.
You walked through the paddock with Carlos by your side, his hand wrapped around yours. Oscar was a few steps ahead, casually walking toward the hospitality area where no other than Nicole Piastri waited. She had met Carlos briefly before, like many of the other drivers, but this was different. He wasn’t just a name on the grid anymore—he was the man you were dating, and Carlos seemed to be nervous about the meeting.
"You think she likes me?" Carlos adjusted his hat for what felt like the hundredth time, his thumb brushing over your knuckles.
"Carlos, she’s going to love you," you couldn’t help but smile at his nerves, "She already does. But, you know... as a mum, she's entitled to give you a little hard time."
"That’s what I’m worried about," Carlos chuckled, but his smile was still tight, "I just want to make a good impression, you know?"
"You will," you assured him, squeezing his hand. "Just be yourself."
Oscar slowed down, overhearing your conversation and grinning like he already knew how this would play out. "Mum’s gonna grill you, mate," he teased, throwing a glance back at Carlos. "She’s been waiting for this."
"Not helping, Oscar," you muttered, giving your brother a playful shove. He just smirked, clearly enjoying himself.
When you finally reached the hospitality tent, your mom was already seated at a table, smiling warmly as she saw you all approach. She stood up to greet you, wrapping you in a familiar hug before turning to Carlos with that same welcoming smile—though you knew there was a glint of mischief behind it.
“Carlos, it’s so good to see you again,” she greeted, shaking his hand.
"It’s great to see you too, Mrs. Piastri," Carlos said, his polite smile fixed on his face. His Spanish charm was dialed up a notch, but you could still feel the slight tension in his grip as he held your hand.
“Please, call me Nicole,” she said, taking her seat again. “I’m not that formal, especially not with my daughter’s boyfriend.”
As you all settled into your seats, you couldn't help but notice the amused glances Oscar and your mom were exchanging. You knew that look—they were up to something.
"So," Nicole began, her eyes twinkling with mischief, "how long have you two been together again?"
You glanced at Carlos, who seemed to relax a bit as he answered, "About two months officially, right, cariño?"
You nodded, but before you could add anything, your mom raised an eyebrow. "And unofficially?"
"Mum!" you said as you felt your cheeks heat up.
Oscar, who had taken a seat across from you, let out a low chuckle, clearly enjoying the show. He leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, watching the dynamic unfold.
"That’s what I thought," she teased, making Oscar let out a loud laugh.
You felt your face grow even hotter as your mom's implications hung in the air. Carlos, to his credit, managed to maintain his composure, though you noticed a slight redness creeping up his neck.
"Well," Carlos cleared his throat, his accent a bit thicker than usual, "I think it's safe to say we've known each other for quite some time now."
"Oh, I remember. You two weren't exactly friendly at first, were you?"
"That's putting it mildly, Mum," Oscar snorted, "Remember the time she came home absolutely fuming after a race? She was ranting about 'that little bi—'"
"Oscar!" you cut him off, "We don't need to relive that."
Carlos squeezed your hand under the table, clearly amused. "No, please, I'd love to hear about this."
"Oh mate, you should've heard her," Oscar spoke again, "'Carlos this, Carlos that.' I swear, she talked about you more when she hated you than she does now."
"I did not!" you protested, but your brother's knowing smirk told you he wasn't buying it.
"It's true," your mum added, her eyes dancing with laughter. "I remember thinking, 'This girl protests too much.' I had a feeling even then that all that anger was hiding something else."
You groaned, hiding your face in your hands. "I can't believe this is happening."
Carlos wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. "It's okay, hermosa. I love to hear these stories."
You looked up at him, seeing the warmth in his eyes. It was hard to believe that those same eyes had once glared at you across the paddock.
Nicole smiled, watching the two of you with that familiar mom look—part teasing, part proud. "Well, now look at you. I guess all that bickering was just a cover-up for how much you liked each other."
"You’ve gone soft," Oscar rolled his eyes dramatically. "I kinda miss the days when you’d call each other names."
"Don’t worry," you muttered, giving Carlos a playful glare. "He’s still a little bitch sometimes."
Carlos laughed, his arm tightening around you as he kissed the top of your head. "And you’re still my favorite enemy turned girlfriend."
Your mom let out a satisfied sigh, leaning back in her chair. "I knew it all along."

Twin boys with Mason and one is a full on daddy’s boy while the other is always on your side and you just can’t help but fall in love even more each time you see how Mason has his daddy son moments after games as he insist on putting the boys to bed after an away game of the time allows it and just a cute scene about Mason rushing home and reading a bed time story or something x
Home Is Where The Heart Is - Mason Mount
Tumblr media
— REQUEST status OPEN
— summary • Mason Mount is not only an incredible football player but also a devoted father of twin boys, Austin and Aaron. After every away game, if time allows, Mason rushes home to share precious bedtime moments with his sons, despite his exhausting schedule. Austin is a full-on daddy’s boy, always seeking Mason's attention and affection, while Aaron sticks closely to your side. The way Mason balances his career and family life makes you fall in love with him even more every day. This story captures a heartwarming night, where Mason makes it home just in time to put the boys to bed, reading a bedtime story that leaves everyone feeling safe, loved, and connected.
— warnings • Pure fluff, family dynamics, with minor mentions of post-game fatigue.
You glance at the clock—9:45 p.m. Mason’s away game ended two hours ago, and you know how long it usually takes for him to shower, talk to the press, and get on the team bus. He promised to be home tonight, to read Austin and Aaron their bedtime story. Even after grueling matches, he insists on putting the boys to bed if he can make it in time.
Beside you, Aaron clings to your arm, eyes drooping with exhaustion, but still holding out, waiting for Mason. His twin brother, Austin, is doing his best to stay awake too, a smile on his face as he talks about how his daddy will be home soon.
“Mommy,” Aaron mumbles softly, leaning his head against your shoulder, “is Daddy gonna make it?”
You smile at him, brushing his curly hair back. “He’ll be here soon, sweetheart. He promised, didn’t he?”
“Yeah, and Daddy never breaks promises,” Austin chimes in, his voice full of certainty. There’s that sparkle in his eyes whenever Mason is mentioned—a reflection of his bond with his dad. Austin has always been Mason’s shadow, a daddy’s boy through and through.
Aaron, on the other hand, is more of your quiet companion. He mirrors your calmness, often content with just snuggling close to you, whereas Austin is always full of energy, ready to play, especially if it involves his father.
Suddenly, the sound of the front door opening fills the house. Mason’s voice follows, low but full of warmth. “I’m home!”
Before you can blink, Austin is up and running down the stairs, calling out, “Daddy! Daddy!”
You scoop Aaron up, cradling his small body against yours as you walk to the door. You both arrive just in time to see Austin launching himself into Mason’s arms. Mason catches him easily, spinning him around as if he’s not exhausted from the match. His eyes meet yours over Austin’s shoulder, and his tired smile makes your heart skip a beat.
“You’re home,” you say softly, meeting him halfway. He pulls you into a quick kiss, Aaron still in your arms.
“Told you I’d make it,” he murmurs against your lips before turning his attention back to Austin. “Did you behave for Mommy?”
Austin nods enthusiastically, his arms still tightly wrapped around Mason’s neck. “Yeah, but I missed you, Daddy.”
“I missed you too, buddy,” Mason says, ruffling his hair. “What about you, Aaron?” He reaches out to ruffle Aaron’s hair as well, but Aaron squirms a little closer to you.
Aaron gives a small smile. “I missed you too, Daddy.”
Mason’s face softens even more, if that’s possible. He steps closer and gently takes Aaron from your arms, holding both boys now. “I’ve got time for a story. How about it?”
Austin’s eyes light up. “Yes! Can we read The Gruffalo?”
Aaron’s head rests against Mason’s shoulder, his voice quieter but just as eager. “Yeah, I like that one.”
You follow the trio upstairs, your heart swelling with love as you watch Mason carrying both boys toward their bedroom. Austin, as always, is chattering excitedly about the match, asking Mason if he scored a goal, if he tackled anyone. And Aaron, quiet but equally engaged, is listening to every word.
Once in the boys’ room, Mason sets them down gently on the bed and tucks them under their blankets. He grabs the book from the bedside table and settles between the twins, flipping through the well-worn pages. You sit in the armchair by the door, watching as your husband leans back, Austin snuggled up against his side, and Aaron resting his head on Mason’s chest.
Mason begins reading, his voice calm and soothing. He’s always been a natural at this, slipping into the different voices for the characters, making both boys giggle and smile.
“‘A mouse took a stroll through the deep dark wood…’” Mason’s voice fills the room, and as he reads, you notice the way Austin hangs on every word, his eyes wide with awe. Meanwhile, Aaron’s eyes start to flutter shut, his small hand gripping Mason’s shirt.
You feel a lump form in your throat as you watch them. These moments, when Mason balances being both a football star and a father, always make you fall for him all over again. He’s so dedicated, not just to his career but to your family. The way he makes time, even after the toughest matches, just to ensure he’s there for the boys—it's enough to make your heart ache with love.
As Mason reaches the end of the story, both boys are nearly asleep. He closes the book and softly kisses Austin’s forehead, then Aaron’s. “Goodnight, little man,” he whispers to Austin, who’s already drifting off.
“Goodnight, Daddy,” Austin murmurs sleepily, his hand still gripping Mason’s.
Mason then turns to Aaron, gently brushing a strand of hair off his face. “Goodnight, Aaron.”
Aaron, already half-asleep, mumbles, “Love you, Daddy.”
“I love you too,” Mason whispers, his voice thick with emotion.
You stand, walking over to Mason as he slowly eases out of the bed, careful not to wake the boys. He slips his arm around your waist, and the two of you step out of the room quietly, closing the door behind you.
In the hallway, you turn to him, your heart full. “You’re amazing, you know that?”
Mason looks at you with that familiar, boyish grin. “Just doing my best.”
You pull him into a hug, resting your head against his chest. His arms wrap around you tightly, and for a moment, the world outside fades away. In this moment, it’s just you, Mason, and the beautiful family you’ve built together.
“I love you,” you whisper.
“I love you more,” he replies softly, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
And as you stand there, wrapped up in his arms, you know without a doubt that this—Mason rushing home to be with his boys, the bedtime stories, the quiet moments of love—is what true happiness looks like.

They often serve as a crucial element in the overall promotional mix, alongside posters, interviews, and social media campaigns. A strong trailer can significantly boost a series' visibility and attract a broader audience.

Tumblr media
I FR love you for that. SRSLY. I love your chicken content.
Tumblr media
YES. So cute! It's my headcanon Lil Bulb is super protective of his older brother, and he absolutely would be with Newton too. I think Gyro would trust Lil Bulb with their lives ("Look after your brother" in the DT finale still gets me).
Tumblr media
I LOVE THAT *crying*
Tumblr media
Yay!!! :D
Tumblr media
That's perfect!! It's always been my headcanon that Boyd looks up to Gizmoduck just like Huey does, and wants to follow in his hero footsteps (while still enjoying his life as a real boy). And you headcanon Newton looking up to Duck Avenger, which I love so much (your artwork of that is adorable)! Ok, now I need to know- was that canon in the comics?? If not, what a missed opportunity!
Tumblr media
Yuppp! He totally would. I always pictured Gyro basically telling Gizmoduck that if he (begrudgingly) gave Newton his blessing to train under him.
Tumblr media
WOO, aroace Gyro supremacy!!
Tumblr media
That's so perfect, since they're all nerds! I always thought Newton would fit right with their group if he were to join DuckTales 2017 (and I definitely see Huey, Boyd, and Newton becoming the 'Team Science Jr.' to Webby, Lena, and Violet's 'Team Magic')!
Tumblr media
He wouldn't? Awww, wouldn't they be worth it? XD I think he'd at least admit it to them.
Ducktales 2017 au where Newton exists and lives with Boyd, Bulb, and Gyro
I couldn’t help myself, I need to write down some lore because all I can think about is this wacky family dynamic
Basic Storyline (so far):
Newton has visited and stayed with Gyro many times beforehand, so he has some experience in taking care of children
At some point, Newton’s father dies (experiment gone wrong, illness, a car crash, etc.) and is put under Gyro’s care since Gyro was his only living relative near him
Gyro wasn’t sure if he would be a good parental figure, but he swore to do anything for his nephew
In this au, Newton is a member of the junior woodchucks, and he becomes good friends with at first Huey, then Violet and Boyd
Newton’s favorite activity is when he gets to visit his uncle’s laboratory and help out on inventions, he’s good friends with Fenton and Manny
Bulb was at first jealous about having another person near Gyro, but he learned to warm up to Newton and occasionally perches up on his blond nest hair
When meeting Boyd, Newton thought the kid was pretty cool, but he was confused as to why his uncle was afraid of him when Huey and him brought Boyd to his lab
After much begging and persuading, Newton got to join the crew in Tolkyolk
Newton was happy to have Boyd join their small wacky family after all that happened, Bulb wasn’t too keen but he learns to warm up to Boyd
For the sake of my science family headcannon, Boyd chose to leave the Drakes and move in with his creator
Gyro now has three kids living with him and he’s a happy science dad (he’ll never admit it to though)
Newton, Boyd, and Bulb are usually well behaved but sometimes their troublemaking attitudes come out and they can be handful for Gyro
Random Headcannons:
Gyro bakes in this au and refuses to tell anyone about it . Every time the kids open the fridge, they’ll see stacks of pies on the shelves and have learned to not question it
In addition to the first point, Gyro usually makes Boyd and Newton lunch before they head to school
Boyd and Newton’s favorite show is Courage of the Cosmos and they’ll always beg Gyro to let them stay up later when there’s a marathon running
Boyd looks up to Gizmoduck, and Newton looks up to Paperinik…ssh, let it happen
Gyro was fine going back into the superhero business, but he’s not too keen about both Boyd and Newton also being interested with helping Gizmoduck and Paperinik
When Gyro finally allows his kids to follow both superheroes out on training missions, he glares at both Fenton and Donald as if to tell them, “They better come back in one piece, unharmed. Or else.”
I have no idea if Gyro would date in this universe, I’ve had funky crackships happen here for my amusement (Gyro with Steelbeak, Falcon Graves, heck even Launchpad) but I imagine he’d stay single
I just want Bulb to spend most of his time perched on top of either his brother or cousin whenever he hangs out with them
There are times where the kids have nightmares about Gyro leaving, and every time it happens Gyro let’s them sleep with him, does some comfort preening, and assures his kids he’d never leave them
Before permanently staying with his uncle, Newton would visit him occasionally, he always wondered why other people would say his uncle was cold and mean because Gyro was the exact opposite for Newton.
Gyro’s soften up a lot since being a parent, but he’s definitely the happiest when Newton or Boyd is around
Newton was so inspired by Lil’ Bulb for a science project one time that he decided to a model a robot like it, except with a yellow light bulb and a blue body. He called it “Edi”
Imagine Ducklair tower existing, imagine Gyro not having any choice but to bring his kids with him to his night job, imagine Boyd and Newton meeting Uno and Paperinik
Yes Gyro works as both Scrooge’s head of research and developement as well as mission control for Paperinik shush, the man already has a bad sleep schedule as it is (and I’m not making it any better yes I know)

A Morning with My Little Angel
Tumblr media
╰┈➤ pairing: Sanji x fem! reader
a/n: none
summary: Sanji embraces the joy of fatherhood as he shares a quiet, loving morning with you and your newborn daughter, cherishing the peaceful moments that make their family complete.
wc: 950
contains: fluff
The morning sun streamed through the kitchen windows of the Thousand Sunny, casting soft rays over the polished counters and the warm wooden floor. The ship was quiet, the crew still sleeping after a long night of adventures. But inside the kitchen, the familiar scent of brewing coffee filled the air, mingling with the faint smell of fresh bread.
Sanji was up early, as always, but this morning was different. This morning, he wasn’t just preparing breakfast for the crew—he was also preparing for the most important meal of the day: the one he’d share with you and your newborn daughter.
He hummed softly to himself, a gentle, content sound that matched the calm of the early hours. His usual flair was still present as he moved through the kitchen, effortlessly chopping vegetables for a breakfast omelette, but there was a tenderness to his actions that only appeared when it was just the two of you... and your little girl.
"Mon amour, are you awake?" Sanji called, his voice a bit quieter than usual, as he peeked around the corner of the kitchen.
You were sitting on the couch in the living area, cradling your daughter in your arms. The little one, no more than a month old, was wrapped snugly in a soft pink blanket, her tiny face squished in a peaceful sleep against your chest. You couldn’t help but smile at the sight of your baby girl, her little fingers curled into a fist, her chest rising and falling in the gentlest rhythm.
"Just waking up," you replied softly, your voice laced with warmth. “She’s so peaceful this morning.”
Sanji leaned against the doorway, his eyes instantly softening as he looked at the two of you. His hand instinctively reached to adjust his apron, though there was no need—his focus was entirely on you and your daughter now.
“I’ve got breakfast ready soon,” Sanji said, a gentle, affectionate smile playing on his lips. “I was thinking we could have a quiet morning together. You, me, and our little princess.”
You smiled back at him, a heartwarming sight as you looked up from your daughter to meet his gaze. “I’d love that.”
Sanji’s face brightened, his usual confident smirk pulling onto his face, but his eyes softened, radiating the love he had for both of you. “Perfect. You just rest there, darling. I’ll take care of everything.”
You nodded, sinking back into the couch with a sigh of contentment. The way Sanji had taken to fatherhood had melted your heart in ways you couldn’t have imagined. His gentle touch when handling your daughter, his protective nature, and his soft words of affection… It was like seeing a whole new side of the chef you’d always admired.
He moved with a quiet grace, chopping and sautéing, humming a little tune as he worked. The sound of sizzling eggs and the clink of silverware were a familiar comfort. Soon, the smell of his cooking began to fill the room, and you couldn't help but smile.
He was so excited to be a father. And as much as he was the proud and charming cook of the crew, he was now the proud and doting father of your daughter. He’d wake up at the crack of dawn just to make her a little bottle, carefully warming it and singing to her while she cooed in his arms. It was the most endearing thing you’d ever seen.
A soft coo from your baby girl interrupted your thoughts, and you looked down to see her slowly stirring. Her little eyes fluttered open, blinking in the morning light, and for a moment, she just stared up at you, as if taking in the world.
“There’s my princess,” you whispered, lifting her gently to your shoulder, giving her a soft kiss on the head.
Sanji looked over at the sound of your voice, his expression immediately softening. He wiped his hands on his apron before walking toward you, his movements careful, as though approaching something precious.
“How’s my little angel this morning?” he asked, his voice full of tenderness. He leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead, and she responded with a small, gurgling laugh that had both of you laughing too.
“She’s perfect, as always,” you said, your voice warm with affection.
Sanji’s heart swelled at the sight of you holding your baby girl. There was something so incredibly surreal about it—having a family, his own little piece of the world that he would protect with everything he had. The fact that you were by his side, and your daughter was now in his life, filled him with a joy he could never have imagined before.
"She’s going to be a heartbreaker, just like her mama," Sanji teased lightly, brushing a lock of hair from your face before turning back to the kitchen. “She’s already got that adorable little face… Can’t wait until she’s old enough to tell me about her first crush.”
You giggled, shaking your head at him. "Oh, I’m sure you’ll be the first one to interrogate every boy who comes near her. But don’t worry, I’ll have your back."
Sanji winked at you. “I’ll make sure no one gets close without getting the full ‘Sanji grilling’ treatment. No one’s good enough for my little girl.” He paused and gave you a soft smile. “No one except you, of course.”
Your heart fluttered. There was always so much love in his words, and you felt it in every gesture, every look. You knew you were lucky to have him, and now, watching him dote on your daughter, you couldn’t help but feel like the luckiest woman alive.
As you settled into the couch, Sanji returned with a tray of food—a spread of fresh fruit, warm omelettes, and a small cup of tea for you. He set it down gently on the table in front of you, his eyes still glowing with pride as he took a seat beside you, his hand resting on your knee.
“I figured you could use some rest this morning, my dear,” he said, his voice soft as he glanced down at your daughter, who had fallen back asleep in your arms. “I’ll always make sure you’re taken care of.”
You smiled and nodded, feeling a warmth spread through your chest as you gazed at him. “You already do, every single day.”
And with that, the three of you—your family—sat together, quietly enjoying each other’s company as the morning light poured in, filling the room with warmth and peace.
Sanji might have been the best cook in the world, but when it came to family, he was the best at that too.

Day 17 of 25 Days of Christmas: Spending Christmas with his family
Pairing: Lando Norris x Reader
Words: 890
Rating: PG
Spending Christmas with Lando’s family feels like stepping into a cozy holiday movie scene, where warmth and laughter fill the air. As you arrive at their beautifully decorated home, the twinkling lights outside create an inviting atmosphere, and you can already smell the delicious aroma of festive treats wafting from the kitchen. The excitement is palpable, and you can’t help but smile, knowing you’re in for a memorable celebration.
As you walk through the door, you’re greeted by Lando’s infectious energy and his warm, welcoming family. His parents are bustling around the kitchen, preparing the traditional Christmas feast. You watch as Lando helps his mom, Claire, mix ingredients for the Christmas pudding, a cherished family recipe passed down through the generations. The two of them laugh and joke as flour dusts their clothes, and you can see the joy in their eyes—these little moments make the holiday so memorable.
The living room is a picture of festive cheer. The tree stands tall, adorned with sparkling ornaments, and topped with a star that shines brighter than the rest. Lando’s younger sister, Olivia, is hanging up stockings that she’s lovingly decorated. Each one is unique, reflecting the personality of its owner—yours included, of course! With every detail, you feel a growing sense of belonging, almost like you’re part of the family, and it warms your heart.
Once everyone is gathered, the tradition of sharing stories begins. Lando’s family has an excellent way of recounting memories, from past Christmas mishaps to heartwarming tales of generosity and kindness. You laugh with them, share their joy, and feel increasingly at home. Lando chimes in with a story about the time he accidentally knocked over the Christmas tree while trying to set up a racing game, and everyone laughs, remembering the chaos that ensued. It’s these shared moments that knit the family closer together.
As the sun sets and the sky turns a brilliant shade of twilight, the family gathers around the dining table, laden with a mouthwatering feast. There are all the classics: roasted turkey with all the trimmings, mashed potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, and a myriad of colorful vegetables. You marvel at the spread and feel a little guilty as your eyes widen—how can one person possibly eat all of this? But as everyone digs in, you realize it’s not just about the food; it’s about sharing the meal and the warmth of the family bond that it represents.
Between bites, Lando’s father, Adam, raises a toast, thanking everyone for coming together during this special time. His heartfelt words resonate with you, making you appreciate the holiday spirit even more. It’s clear that family means everything to them, and you feel lucky to be a part of it, if only for a day.
After dinner, it’s time for the highlight of the evening: the gift exchange. The excitement builds as everyone gathers around the Christmas tree, gifts piled high and waiting to be unwrapped. Lando’s eyes sparkle with anticipation, and you can’t help but feel the same energy coursing through you. As the presents are distributed, a flurry of laughter, squeals, and heartfelt thanks fills the room.
When it’s your turn, Lando hands you a beautifully wrapped gift. With each layer you peel away, the atmosphere grows more excited until you finally reveal a personalized mug featuring a cartoon version of yourself and Lando racing on the track. You can’t help but laugh, and Lando beams with pride, delighted that you love it. It’s a thoughtful gift that speaks volumes about his attention to detail and your bond.
As the evening winds down, the family settles into a cozy corner of the living room, warmed by the soft glow of the fireplace. With a stack of Christmas movies piled high, you all select a classic to watch together. You curl up on the couch next to Lando, feeling content and happy. The laughter and joy continue, filling your heart with warmth and love as you sink into the comfortable atmosphere.
As the movie plays, you reflect on the day’s events. You think about the stories shared, the laughter exchanged, and the traditions upheld. There’s something uniquely beautiful about spending Christmas in a family atmosphere like this, where warmth and acceptance reign supreme. You feel deeply grateful for being welcomed into such a loving environment, and it fills your heart with warmth.
As the night comes to an end, Lando’s family gathers to share a few last festive treats: hot chocolate and, of course, Christmas pudding with a side of custard. You take a moment to appreciate the good cheer around you, watching Lando interact with his family and seeing the bond they all share. It strikes you how lucky he is—not just for his success behind the wheel but for the love that surrounds him.
Finally, as you prepare to leave, Lando’s family insists on a group photo by the Christmas tree, capturing this perfect day forever in a snapshot. You pose with broad smiles and an overwhelming sense of happiness, knowing that this Christmas with Lando’s family will be a cherished memory for years.
You can’t stop smiling as you say goodbye and enter the crisp night air. The laughter, the warmth, and the magic of Christmas linger in your mind, a beautiful reminder of the importance of family, friendship, and celebrating moments together.

in which: itoshi rin has never thought about marriage- until he met you.
fluff sprinkled with angst, rin is vulnerable and pathetic and lovesick, gn!reader
Tumblr media
itoshi rin has never thought about marriage.
he thinks it's a daunting, restrictive construct that should not mean as much as it does. so much money spent on something completely worthless and non-representative of what true love can look like- two couples don't need some legal certificate to prove their adoration for one another. that's mediocre and pointless.
rin would much rather spend his savings towards something productive and not some diamond encrusted, 24k gold ring, or whatever the fuck the jewellers are on about. he doesn't need to imagine a beautiful venue, or his family dressed for a celebration, or a honeymoon in venice.
itoshi rin has never thought about marriage- until he met you.
you, unlike everything else good in his life, simply fell into the palm of his hands and proceeded to ruin everything with your arrival.
every thought he had about love and relationships being lukewarm was replaced with new visions of light and warmth, and you were at the centre of them all, brightening his previously-dull world with a simple, yet heartwarming smile.
(rin thinks it’s his favourite sight- you looking at him like he’s worth something. like he’s kind enough to be loved and cared for.)
he freely admires the outline of your features, the slope of your jaw, where he loves cradling and holding. the curve of your lips and the way his slot perfectly against them. the space between your eyebrows where he kisses you the most because it’s comforting (more for him than you), he thinks he’s most fortunate to be the only one who gets to witness you like this, to touch and taint you like this.
how did he get so lucky?
giving in to his greatest desires, rin shuffles closer to you and wraps an arm tightly around you, eliminating the space that sleep has created between you. he tucks you in where he needs you most: right beside him, and sighs contently when he feels your warmth.
he wonders what you see in him. amongst the constellation of unresolved issues, abrasiveness, and glacial attitude that is itoshi rin, you have found something in him to love, to cherish, to hold. now that he’s had a taste of happiness, he doesn’t want to let go even though he knows you’re too good for him; that you’re too lovely and wonderful for someone as wretched as him to keep.
you have lit up his world and he does everything he can to keep your fire alive.
he doesn’t want to imagine what will become of the world again when you leave. for the night will never end because there will be no sun for the moon to chase, no revelry amongst the expanse of darkness. for the waves might never meet the shore again, for the fruit will never bear again, and the mountains will shrink into the plains; leaving itoshi rin to wander in a world of solitude and destitute.
so instead, he imagines a beautiful venue, his family and friends dressed to the nines for a celebration, a luxurious honeymoon in venice, and you, the most glorious and praiseworthy of all.
“i love you,” whispers the dark-haired. you shift slightly in his grip but you don’t fully rouse, and he’s relieved to know that you have not yet woken, because his love is loudest when the world is silent. “i love you, i love you, i love you, i love you, i love you.”
rin hugs you a little tighter.
he imagines about living a life bound by matrimony. he thinks about a life with matching rings to represent the love you have for one another. he thinks about a life with you as his only forever; a life so sweet, he begins tearing up.
reaching for your hand, rin’s thumb rubs your ring finger. “it’s you, it’s only you, i’ll only ever want you.” he kisses it, not liking how empty and vacant it feels underneath his lips.
soon, rin will go. he’ll go to the most extravagant jeweller he can find and search and search until one deems itself worthy of you. if he cannot give you the world, then this will do in the meantime (because he will keep searching for a way to do the former).
with a shaky exhale, he presses his forehead to yours before closing his eyes, longing to see you in his dreams.
he hopes you never leave him, and if his (cruel) heart is not enough to convince you to stay, he can only hope that a diamond ring- the most expensive one at the store, will do the trick.
(he is yours, body, mind, and soul, all at your mercy. the only thing itoshi rin wants in return is for you to say 'yes'.)

Pairings ; Jenna Ortega x Male!Reader
Warning/s ; none
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Ortega family backyard was buzzing with laughter, the sizzle of the grill, and the mouthwatering aroma of grilled delicacies. It was a warm summer evening, perfect for a family BBQ. Jenna and Y/N sat together on a picnic blanket, soaking in the atmosphere. Jenna's niece, Mya, was particularly enamored with the couple and had spent most of the evening glued to their sides.
"Mya, do you want another hotdog?" Jenna asked, smiling at the energetic little girl who was perched on Y/N's lap.
Mya spoke in gibberish, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Y/N chuckled, handing her another hotdog. "Here you go, kiddo. Just make sure you leave some room for dessert." Mya grinned and took a big bite.
Jenna and Y/N exchanged amused glances. Mya's affection was heartwarming, and they both adored her.
As the evening progressed, Jenna's mom, Natalie, approached them with a camera. "How about a picture of my three favorite people?" she suggested.
Jenna and Y/N nodded, and Natalie stepped back to capture the moment. Mya sat happily between them, a big smile on her face. Natalie snapped a couple of pictures, capturing the trio's joy perfectly.
Just as they finished, Jenna's sister, Aliyah, joined them. She looked at the picture on her mom's camera and teased, "You know, you two look so good with Mya. When are you planning on having a baby of your own?"
Jenna blushed slightly and glanced at Y/N. "Oh, it's too early for that," she said with a nervous laugh.
Y/N nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we're still figuring things out. There's plenty of time for that in the future."
Aliyah raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on her face. "Well, just saying, you two would make amazing parents."
Jenna's blush deepened, and she felt Y/N's hand gently squeeze hers. "Thanks, Aliyah. We'll keep that in mind," Jenna replied, trying to steer the conversation away from the topic.
The night wore on, filled with delicious food, stories, and games. Mya continued to follow Jenna and Y/N around, her adoration for them clear as day. At one point, she insisted on playing a game of tag, pulling Y/N into the fun.
"Tag!" Mya giggled, tapping Y/N's shoulder before running off.
Y/N laughed, chasing after her with exaggerated slowness, making sure to let her have the upper hand. "I'm gonna get you, Mya!"
Jenna watched them with a smile, feeling a warmth in her chest. Seeing Y/N play so naturally with her niece made her heart swell with love and gratitude. She knew that, one day, they would make wonderful parents.
As the night drew to a close, the family gathered around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows. Mya, with sticky marshmallow fingers, sat next to Jenna and Y/N, her head resting against Y/N's shoulder.
"Can we do this every night?" Jenna asked sleepily.
Y/N kissed the top of Jenna's head. "Maybe not every night, but we'll definitely have more fun nights like this."
Jenna nodded, wrapping an arm around Y/N and Mya. "Absolutely. We're family, and family means making memories like these."
As they all sat together, roasting marshmallows and sharing stories, Jenna felt a deep sense of contentment. She leaned into Y/N, their closeness a comforting reminder of the love they shared. The night was perfect, a testament to the joy of family and the strength of their bond.
After a while, Mya's eyes began to droop, and Jenna's mom offered to take her inside to bed. "She's had a big day," Natalie said with a smile.
Jenna and Y/N stood up, helping Mya to her feet. "Goodnight, sweetheart," Jenna said, kissing her niece's forehead.
"Goodnight, Auntie Jenna. Goodnight, Y/N," Mya murmured sleepily.
"Goodnight, Mya," Y/N replied, ruffling her hair gently.
As Natalie led Mya inside, Jenna and Y/N found themselves alone by the fire pit. The stars twinkled above them, and the warmth of the fire wrapped around them like a cozy blanket.
Y/N turned to Jenna, a soft smile on his face. "Tonight was really nice," he said.
Jenna nodded, leaning her head on his shoulder. "Yeah, it was. I love seeing you with Mya. You're so good with her."
Y/N chuckled softly. "She's a great kid. And you're amazing with her too. It's easy to see why she adores you."
Jenna smiled, her heart full. "I'm really glad we're here together, Y/N. Moments like this make everything worthwhile."
Y/N kissed the top of her head. "I feel the same way. I can't wait for all the moments we'll share in the future."
Jenna lifted her head, looking into his eyes. "Me too," she said softly.
They sat there for a while longer, enjoying the peace and quiet, their hearts intertwined with love and hope for the future. The night had been perfect, a beautiful reminder of the strength of family and the promise of what was to come.
As they finally stood to head inside, Y/N took Jenna's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Ready to go in?"
Jenna nodded, feeling a warmth spread through her. "Ready."
Together, they walked back into the house, the love they shared glowing brightly in the night.
Back inside, the house was quieter. Most of the family had started winding down for the evening, but a few were still chatting in the living room. Jenna and Y/N headed to the kitchen for a glass of water. As they stood there, enjoying the stillness, Jenna's mom walked in, smiling warmly at them.
"Did you two have a good time?" Natalie asked, pouring herself a cup of tea.
"We did, Mom. It was perfect," Jenna replied, leaning against the counter with a content smile.
Y/N nodded in agreement. "Thank you for having me. Your family is wonderful."
Natalie's eyes twinkled. "You're part of the family now, Y/N. We're glad you're here."
Jenna felt a surge of emotion at her mom's words. She looked at Y/N, seeing the gratitude and love in his eyes. He really was part of the family, and she couldn't imagine her life without him.
As they finished their drinks and headed toward the guest room where they were staying, Jenna's sister Aliyah intercepted them one last time, her playful smirk back in place.
"Seriously, though, you two would make such cute parents," she teased, giving them a wink.
Jenna rolled her eyes but smiled. "Goodnight, Aliyah."
"Goodnight, lovebirds," Aliyah said with a laugh, heading off to her room.
Jenna and Y/N entered their room, closing the door behind them. Jenna sat on the edge of the bed, pulling off her shoes, while Y/N flopped onto the mattress with a sigh of contentment.
"What a day," Y/N said, stretching out.
Jenna nodded, lying down beside him. "Yeah, it was. But it was a good day."
Y/N turned to face her, his expression softening. "Jenna, I meant what I said earlier. I can't wait for all the moments we'll share. You make everything better."
Jenna's heart swelled with love. She reached out, caressing his cheek. "You do the same for me, Y/N. I love you."
"I love you too," Y/N replied, leaning in to kiss her softly.
They lay there, wrapped in each other's arms, the warmth of their love and the promise of their future enveloping them. The night was quiet, the only sounds the gentle hum of the house settling and the soft whispers of their shared dreams.
As they drifted off to sleep, Jenna felt a deep sense of peace. She knew that no matter what the future held, they would face it together, their love a beacon guiding them through any storm.
