                             GAMBIT && RELATIONSHIPS. 

Remy's tendency to have a string of one-night stand && commitment-free relationships is not because he's has a fear of commitment. Because Remy wants commitment, we've seen how devoted he can be when he's in a relationship. Heck just look at how devoted he is to the xmen. Remy is devoted && loyal, even if his reputation says otherwise.

Like come on, his great secretive wish / dream for the future has always been to have a stable family && to be in a committed relationship with a loving partner. REMY has always wanted family, kids, love. That's his biggest wish...but it's also something he thinks he can't have && that's why he tends to shy away from secure relationships.  

What Remy is afraid of is not commitment but honesty. To be in a relationship he knows he has to be more honest, with his partner && himself, he has to be open about a lot of things that make him feel emotionally vulnerable && that terrifies him.  Remy has lived with abandonment issues that are shy high all his life, he's also had to constantly prove himself && his worth since he was a child, because everyone has always assumed that he just isn't worth it. Just, having to prove yourself to someone you love, to have the fear that they will see you, see everything you are && think that, you're either not good enough or just as bad as think you are. It's hard.

&& that's not even going into the complication of being part of the thieves guild / being an xmen. It’s all very complicated because how do you start a relationship when you have to lie about your past, your family, your job, everything. It’s easy to keep things simple with no strings attached.

Here’s a though while EVERYONE thinks Remy is untrustworthy. (&& hey, that’s valid && often applies.) He’s also, so fucking LOYAL! He doesn’t tell the trust, he lies, lies && lies to protect himself. But he’s also constantly throwing himself headfirst at his own trauma. Remy volunteers himself to be used && abused by the bad guys, with the plan of protecting his loved ones. It’s usually D U M B, but Remy was raised in a world filled with deception && the need to fight for survival. He joins those who pose a threat, with the plan of tackling them completely          A L O N E. He will join the organisation, rise up && then dismantle it from the inside, not caring for his own conscious, or his own soul because that’s already been lost. He’s willing to do the dirty stuff if it means keeping the x men && his loved ones SAFE.

This is hundred percent how you imagine parenting would be like with Steven. Fun: you bribing him to change a diaper, you cooking because Steven's seasoning tastes are something to be desired; very domestic.

You pout playful as you drag (yes literally dragged) yourself off your cute boyfriend to fetch the cat currently resting on the floor outside your father's room.

"Good luck!" Calling out before hearing you coaxing your cat.

Steven helped named her, Marc calls her 'cat', and Jake plays with her or she sleeps on him. Bastet says he is a keeper (meaning all of them but she does no't know about the DID). They all provide so much for you though you know Marc wishes he could do more, likely from talking with Jake, yet keeps his distance respecting boundaries.

You wish he would come out, you aren't sure how to ask or if you are allowed to do that.

After bathing the cat, a grumpy girl rightfully, and feeding her treats and brushes; you start cooking while Steven is going over your history paper for Western Civilization class. "This one needs rewording."

"Thank you, professor!" You made the basic and messy finger food: tacos. You totally forgot to do food shopping. "Anyway, ignore that! I got you a gift!"

"For me?"

"Yup," You pull out a small box, "Listen, if you don't like it you can return it for a store credit."

Steven gives you a look making you shut up and hand over the box.

"A blue sarcophagus… A pencil case! Thanks." Of course he would be happy with that! "Oh, aw you got my name written in hieroglyphs. Look at you putting my books to you, clever girl." He is happy then he opens it. "OH!"

"Heh."

"A watch, wait this.." Checking out the wristband next to his phone, "This is…"

"It took some saving up and calling around but, you seem like the type to enjoy a wristwatch."

This is not a Christmas gift. You went Christmas shopping to shut your aunt up and to jump on sales, personally you do not celebrate it and being respectful of Marc's Jewish background; this is a gift celebrating how long you both have been together. To think your spring semester abroad was gonna land you an amazing boyfriend with two other men you hold dear, you enjoy the good parts.

"Listen, New Years is coming and…"

"Bullocks, I forgot about the party! Listen the museum is having an event and I'm stuck—"

"That's great!" You shout then facepalm yourself, "I mean we both are busy. My friend asked me to go out with them that evening." Groaning, "Art stuff and networking.

"There, there, the day after we can celebrate on our own, yeah? Marc has a pretty good liquor collection."

Steven feels guilty about lying.

"Ooo, get lit like a couple of teenagers, ay?" Winking at him, "Or we could…" Sitting on his lap wiggling your eyebrows, "Get started on that early semester extra credit, uwu."

You love being silly with him.

The holiday week is packed with Steven and Marc being in your company without fail. Marc, is one who takes you to places to see pretty much anything. Maybe he likes your actions to new things or how you try to steal warmth from his hands when you forget your gloves. With him, it is like dating all over, only he has experience and physical needs. Where Steven and yourself relationship started from mental needs, stimulating each other by debating and showing each other interests. Marc, you guess, has been around the block a few times he already knows what he wants and likes. You do not mind! He assured he can take it slow as you need, but you are eager. Jakes likes that about you too, how eager to learn and please you can get.

Marc twice has felt your hands and kisses on his skin, heard those positive affirmations you like slip in when you touch him. You are like a mini ball of sunshine. He is frightened that you will escape him one day… Or one day Steven decides he does not want to share you anymore.

Steven has it easy for he is the first one you met. Lots of shared interests, things you do not not have in common but willing to share with each other, this newest to relationships. So comfortable with each other, neither of you have to constantly go out like Marc does. While he is learning, Steven is exploring.

Steven enjoys being home with you talking away day, watching movies, occasionally making out, or being silly. The domestic life is easy for Steven but a struggle for Marc who has walls on top of walls.

He should not be jealous. It makes no sense to be jealous when you want to know him, he just hates how you look at him differently than his alter.

Trying to be equally as exciting as he seems to be, to be confident and smooth as him. Maybe it is the age difference or the way you both were raised differently or different events in your lives versus him… Marc wishes honestly he knew how to be relaxed like Steven.

Steven.

He really should not be jealous of him but that is the thing about emotions: they often do not make sense and causes us to do stupid things.

Like kissing someone under the moonlight after rescuing them.

Marc might have fucked up there.

this was inspired by a post by @kenchiko which was the ‘being in a friend group with gym three squad’ which i like to read when i’m sad. anyway, they all dressed up as the mystery gang and i thought it was so cute i decided to headcanon it. (thank u kenchiko i love ur tsukki stuff but i’m too shy to interact with u *waves*)

it was the day of electric spookaloos aka halloween and you and kuroo were hyped af 

mostly because you could play ‘this is halloween’ on loudspeaker with less weird stares than usual

and kuroo’s all about gROuP CosTUmeS 

previously the five of you had dressed up as the power rangers (which you switched for m&m’s because the helmets were too hard to make), the breakfast club, and the teen titans and now the five of you were going to top it off with…

‘the mystery gang from scooby doo!’ kuroo mentioned in your groupchat

no one noticed it except for bokuto who haha-reacted and then it resurfaced three days before halloween

kuroo and akaashi are the only ones who went all out with their costumes

kuroo has a blonde wig for his fred costume and akaashi also got a wig and made a dress for his daphne costume

bokuto ordered a cloth scooby doo mask online and forgot to order the rest of the body so he looks like inosuke from kny except his head is scooby doo

you and tsukki went to the dollar store on the day itself and just bought shirts for your velma and shaggy costumes

kuroo: you couldn’t even bother to get an orange sweater?

tsukki: it was fifty cents more expensive also i’m the blonde one so i should be fred

kuroo: well you didn’t binge-watch scooby doo all night and got only one hour of sleep so you had to sip akaashi’s pumpkin spiced latte before getting kicked by the owner of said latte

bokuto worked on spray painting kuroo’s pick-up truck to look like the mystery machine 

but the painting didn’t work out and only half of the letters are legible so you’re all piled into a pick-up truck that says ‘THE  Y T RY    AC  NE’ on the side

but you’re off to the only halloween party you were invited to !!

except on the way tsukki gets a call from his boss (he works at a museum) abt some missing artifacts

the five of you are miraculously able to sneak past the guards and enter through the back because the mystery gang gave you their blessing to break and enter almost any building on halloween night

kuroo, immediately getting into fred jones mode: alright let’s split up gang! daphne and i will check the upper floors while velma, shaggy, and scooby, you take the basement

bokuto: ruh-roh!·         

you: splitting up is a surefire way for someone to get killed but go off, i guess?

kuroo: also, if anyone curses, they owe a quarter in the swear jar

akaashi: you can only use things like jinkies, jeepers, jiminy, or zoinks

anyway, you’re with bokuto and tsukishima so what could go wrong?

and it all starts when you guys go downstairs into a basement full of creepy artifacts and find a mysterious, glowing amulet

bokuto, who can barely hear anything in his decapitated scooby mask: TOUCH IT!

tsukki doesn’t care enough to hold him back and bokuto touches the amulet

the basement shakes, the ground beneath you trembles, the amulet grows brighter and pale green apparition appears in front of you. its danny phantom a hooded figure with glowing eyes

ghost: YOU HAVE AWAKENED THE GHOST OF THE AMULET OF ETERNAL SUFFERING

you: *trying hard not to laugh but also scared shitless* …jinkies

the ghost is wreaking havoc: chairs are thrown against the wall, vases are cracked, the faint smell of sulphur is in the air. you and bokuto are fucking terrified and look more like shaggy and scooby despite your shitty cosplays. tsukishima doesn’t believe in anything that’s going on

tsukki: man, these guys here are really putting effort into this prank

you: TSUKKI I DON’T THINK THIS IS A PRANK 

ghost: *starts chanting in some unknown, ancient language*

tsukki: ah, nice touch. you watch lord of the rings?

you: tSUKKI NO-

bokuto: don’t worry! i’ll exorcise this spirit with my bible knowledge!

you and tsukki: MANGA MESSIAH IS NOT THE BIBLE

akaashi: *shivers* i just had the strangest feeling that bokuto called manga messiah the bible again

kuroo: zoinks! sounds like him

akaashi: *trying not to cringe* anyway, they’re probably not doing anything right now

the basement, atm: just a complete fucking mess

the walls have started bleeding but somehow y’all are still a-okay

that’s because tsukki’s so salty he’s basically a salt circle with 10m radius but you didn’t hear that from me

and he STILL DOESN’T BELIEVE THAT A REAL ASS GHOST IS HAUNTING THEM 

the ghost is also tired at this point 

also bokuto is really fucking scared but decides to end things ONCE and FOR ALL

he stands up from under the desk and just tackles the ghost like a football player

he didn’t think that he’d pass through the ghost

but seeing a buff dude with a scooby doo head is enough to scare mr. blood-dripping-from-the-walls shitless, especially when he fucking passes through him

ghost: *disappears back into the amulet*

you: and you still don’t believe that’s real??? 

tsukki: ghosts aren’t real

you: *ready to throw hands*

bokuto: I DID IT! I FOUGHT A GHOST!

you pocket the amulet because you can send it to your enemies 

meanwhile: upstairs

kuroo: man, i’d give anything to be chased by a scooby-doo villain dressed in a suit of armor 

a suit of armor: *starts chasing them*

akaashi, in his best daphne voice: jeepers! we better get out of here! 

kuroo, crying out how perfectly akaashi emulated daphne: let’s split up gang!

they don’t split up tho that would be dumb

*cue classic scooby doo chase scene with the music*

and then as they round a corner they run into you, tsukki, and bokuto fresh from the basement and you all fall into a heap

tsukki: *sees the suit of armor running towards then* ah fuck, what now?

kuroo: laNGUAGE *hands him the swear jar*

akaashi: NOT THE TIME

you: GET HIM BOKUTO!” 

bokuto stands up and once again tackles the knight and this time he doesn’t pass through

it takes five (5) of you to tie up this one (1) guy 

kuroo: oh my god, i’m ready

you: ready for what?

bokuto: the final unveiling

kuroo: now let’s see who’s behind all this! *rips off the helmet which tears off like a mask don’t ask me why but apparently that happens*

and it’s…Bokuto!!

everyone: *gasps and turns to Bokuto who FINALLY removes the scooby doo mask*

tsukki: *gasp* you’re the creepy british dude who keeps trying to buying our local artifacts to display at The British Museum!

akaashi: neo-imperialism is real

bokuto in the suit of armor: guys help!! he kidnapped me!!

all of you (except tsukki because he’s so done at this point) tackle mr. british villain who you thought was bokuto

finally the right person has been tied up

kuroo: your days of stealing artifacts are over!

british villain (let’s say he looks like jude law or something): and i would have gotten away with it…

kuroo: *grabbing your arm* oh my god! he’s gonna say it! he’s gonna say it!

british villain/jude law: …if it weren’t for you fUCKERS!

kuroo tries to hand him the swear jar but akaashi puts his hand down

at this point you’re too tired to argue with mister ghosts-aren’t-real so you leave the amulet with jude law and the five of you get out of the museum and pile into the mystery machine

akaashi: do you think the party’s still going?

you: we could hang out in mcdonalds again like last year

but otw to mcdonalds kuroo’s phone rings and he picks up

kuroo: hello? b-bokuto?

bokuto, over the phone: guys where are you??? the party started hours ago and my headless scooby-doo onesie is hard to get out of and i need to pee !!

akaashi: but…

you all turn to look at ‘bokuto’ sitting between you and tsukki in the backseat. he removes his mask.

💰 Lupin will takes you to museums for surprise. Louvre? Yes. El Prado? Yeah Shanghai Museum? Of course. Museo Larco? Don’t hesitate it. You buy all postal, books and guides, too.

💰 Lupin provides you acrylic colours for your paintings. He admires you skill, Lupin knows you’re pretty good in this, he can generate juicy for it.

💰 Lupin will try sneak some of your paintings in an art Gallery. He will pretend to be an expert and he will makes sure that all people rich in the Gallery will think you’re the one of the best artist in the century. They will buy your paintings for a great sum of money.

💰 Lupin insists that you do portraits of him.

🥃 Jigen never was a fanatic of the works of art like Lupin, yes, he steal pictures, and monuments. He loves the classical music. But he never though that he could adore so many your works of art. The sculpture never caught his attention, but when he sees you make this illustration from the slice of this big stone which Lupin carried you, Jigen stays with the open mouth.

🥃 Your art isn’t just realistic, It’s absolutely incredible. Jigen can't believe that to your sculpture shows the fucking veins in his hands of stone. Jigen will be totally agree with Lupin of puts your works of art in the Market.

🥃 He doesn’t ask your for you do an sculpture for him, but each time you finish one, Jigen will takes you to place where you can be relax. He takes you to spa, to onsen or a picnic, or simply stay in home watching a marathon of your favourites movies.

🥃 “You’re incredible”, Jigen says each time you use the technique wet clothes. It looks gorgeous.

 GOEMON

🎐 Goemon always appreciates the art, not the same way than Lupin does, but in a philosophical and transcendental way. He has notions of floral arrangement and he considers the road of the sword like an art.

🎐 But, his jaw drop when you show him the succession of drawings you did about him performing a thrust, it moves in a fluid way that almost seems real.

Harp (Ocarina of Time/Majora’s Mask): - post-ocarina so basically she’s in the adult timeline but seven years older than she were when we last saw her at the end of oot - big mom friend,,,,,,,,,,,, tall and Motherly will adopt every child - she can and will slice a bitch if she needs to dont cross her - her scars were from the 7 years where she hid as Sheik while Time took himself a nice little nap - after sending Time back to his childhood she’s just been working to rebuild her kingdom and is now Queen - like i said on the Links one, headcanon that she’s Time’s twin sister - nothing much to say about her design it’s pretty much the same asdfghj

Plume (Skyward Sword): - still rowdy. still bapey - can and will push you off a cliff - really loves her animals and insists her remlit’s a sweetheart despite what Sky may tell her - really sweet and understanding about Sky and his napping but will still Suplex A Bitch if he’s being an ass - after what happened in skyward sword she’s in the lead of getting the settlement on the surface up and running - changed her outfit a bit to one more inspired by one of her concept designs but it’s kinda hard to see anything but a white shirt in this image asdfghj - a few scrapes and scratches from tumbling around on the surface, nothing too serious though

Dawn (Twilight Princess): - Stoic and Quiet - i’ve had Twi for five minutes, but if anything were to happen to him i would kill everyone in this room and then myself - cares a whole lot about her kingdom and will do just about anything for her people- has been working to rebuild her kingdom too but like there isn’t much to fix anyway so i guess she gets off easy - again, same design as usual aaaaand no real noteworthy scars she’s smart enough not to get killed unlike everyone else

Hope (Breath of the Wild): - NERD ALERT - spends most of her time documenting and rambling - what do you mean shes gotta rule her country she’s found a cool frog she’s gotta take pictures of!!!! - can actually remember her friends and misses them a whole lot :( - HOO GIRL YOU’VE GOT......... A WHOLE LOT TO REBUILD..... WHEW - kept her design mostly as is and gave her the green eyes because nINTENDO ARE SO INCONSISTENT WITH HER EYE COLOUR IS2G - got in a few scrapes after sAVING WILD’S DYING ASS so that’s where the scars are from

Rapier (Hyrule Warriors): - the cool but wildly irresponsible mom - *gives a whole sword to small child* hell yeah kid go fuck those bitches up - also filthy rich even compared to the other Zeldas like look at that ridiculous amount of gold and silver armour it’s not even gonna protect her dumb ass - can absolutely destroy you if she chooses to do so - has a lot of scars because sOMEONE doesn’t know how to gear up properly - knows sign language so that she can communicate with Her Boy 

Canvas (A Link Between Worlds): - the biggest sweetheart you’ll ever meet...... like oh my god bapey............ - Big Fan Of Art - has a whole museum of paintings in her castle - is 100% convinced that Albi is Deceased :( spent a lot of resources to find him but kinda gave up on it after a year or two  - the lighter patch on her face is the ‘splash’ mark from being turned into a painting which also caused the color in her eyes to change - she actually used to have green eyes

Pebble (The Minish Cap): - OOOO BABEY.......... TODDLER - still really close to Minish they always hang out - Dramatic Little Shit - absolutely a sheltered kid there’s no way Daltus didn’t get a million times more protective of her after she got pETRIFIED??? - despite being completely baby she still manages to be taller than her Link lmao eat shit Minish - the feathers are supposed to resemble Picori feathers, no idea if they are real or not

Ghost (Spirit Tracks): - FUCKING DIES ASDFGHGFGHJ - super energetic and sweet - got all of Tetras attitude but none of the smarts. absolute Buffoon - might be out of mortal danger but still gets in trouble all the damn time - barely has any scars because ghosts don’t get injuries but she does have a big burn/lightning like scar on her chest/stomach from having her sOUL RIPPED OUT OF HER BODY - redesigned the dress a bit so she’d look different from Pebble - also the ribbon in her hair is supposed to be a Tetra’s old bandana!! she got it as a gift from her when she was still Very Small

Tetra (The Wind Waker): - Fuck Yeah Pirate Time - completely Rowdy. Will Stab a Bitch - is more like a robin hood type of outlaw she only steals from Corrupt Rich Asshats like a good pirate should - swears WAY too much. Horrible Influence on Children - is missing like half on her left leg, probably lost it to like a gyorg or some shit - scars are from various battles with other pirates, bokoblins, birds, etc. - busy finding a New Continent

Crystal (A Link To The Past): - tired............... needs a break - Just Wants Link To Stop Dying And Come Back Here For Once!!!!!!! dumbass - real quiet but real calculated - Reads Minds and Talks Inside Peoples Heads - real fond of gardening her own herbs and vegetables  -listen i KNOW they’re like her pajamas or some shit but the blue dress just suits her better!!!! also Canvas doesn’t have any alternate costumes soooo

Ribbon (The Legend of Zelda): - ROUND!!!! CHUMBY!!!!!!!!!! - very sweet and very bubbly - will absolutely hug you to death and there’s nothing you can do about it - rebuilt an entire kingdom because uhh that thing kinda fell apart a couple hundred years after ALBW - doesn’t have any scars because she just kinda sat around while Ganon and Link were having a bit of an argument - i changed her dress to be green because of her in game sprite

Dreamer (The Adventure of Link): - HEY GUYS DID YOU KNOW THAT CLASSIC SAVES TWO ZELDAS??? BECAUSE I DIDN’T REALIZE UNTIL NOW - THIS BITCH CAME BEFORE PEBBLE.......... SHE SLEPT FOR /THOUSANDS/ OF YEARS STRAIGHT - is Very confused, doesn’t know what the hell is going on 99% of the time - absolute grandma, doesn’t understand any of this newfangled technology - just real sweet but also completely disoriented - i guess she just kinda helps Ribbon figure out how to get all the old rules and traditions back in place, just a complete big sister for her

Oh anon, of course I do! I can’t write a character without acquiring a bunch of random headcanons about them, lol.

(Most of these have at least some basis in canon, but a few are just things that Feel Right based on how I see Brainy’s character.)

- His favorite color is purple! Of course, the show peppering purple into his casual wardrobe is really a nod to his comics outfit, but I like to hc that he just genuinely likes the color a lot. (And you didn’t ask, but I also hc that Kara’s favorite color is yellow, which just so happens to be complementary to purple.)

- As a very picky eater/drinker, I’m not really qualified to say what kinds of drinks Brainy would like, but I CAN say that he’d have zero concept of what society thinks he should or shouldn’t like, because he hasn’t been socialized like a human. So if he wants a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks or a “girly” cocktail at a bar, you bet your ass he’s gonna order those things. 

- We already have a pretty good idea of his casual outfits I think, but basically: band shirts, jeans, combat boots. Layers even if it’s technically too warm for them (National City IS in SoCal, after all). He seems to like flannels quite a bit, too. If we’re going for something a bit Nicer, then I’d probably put him in sweaters (not sweater vests or cardigans, but sweaters), because I have a hard time picturing him in button-up shirts if he’s not in a full suit-and-tie getup, tbh. (I like to think that his new favorite article of clothing is the purple jacket that he wore in 4.08, simply bc that’s my favorite article of his clothing lmao.) 

- He LOVES going to nerdy places like museums, because he can Learn Stuff About the Past there! He also usually ends up enjoying other activities that are new to him, like bowling or ice skating or karaoke, but he has to be coaxed into giving them a try (by Kara). He’d probably like video games if someone (Winn?) showed them to him. He’d fucking own at Laser Tag (PLEASE imagine a Cisco v. Brainy Laser Tag match).

- He puts salt in his coffee instead of sugar. Kara thinks he made a mistake the first time she sees him do it, and tries to correct him, only to realize – to her Horror – that no, he’s just Like That. 

- He likes to listen to music while working in his lab/on personal projects. Most people expect it to be something like highbrow orchestral shit, but nope! It’s all (obnoxiously loud) Classic 80s Rock. (Did I steal this from Tony Stark? Maaaybe. Do I think it’s in-character for Brainy regardless? Yup. After all, who do you think installed the surround-sound speakers in the Legion Cruiser, and decided to blast Bon Jovi while they fought Reign? I’d say, most likely the guy who canonically owns a Bon Jovi shirt. 😏)

- He’s a notorious insomniac, and usually ends up working himself to exhaustion, which leads to him falling asleep in random places, at all times other than nighttime. Kara will often doze off on the couch in the middle of a movie, only to wake up hours later and find Brainy still awake, watching Planet Earth at 4am (and taking notes, of course). 

- He compulsively tucks his flyaway hairs behind his ears A LOT, but especially when he’s nervous. 

- He’s quite a bit stronger, sturdier, and faster than average humans, but Kara still has him far outclassed in all those categories. He can’t absorb himself into the internet like Indigo, but he can download information directly into his consciousness using his technopathy. (It’s a neat trick, but it makes him vulnerable to malware and computer viruses, in the same way that humans are vulnerable to germs and other pathogens. So, not only can Brainy get sick like a normal person, but he can also be corrupted, which is arguably Worse.)

- He’s the only one who can give Lena a run for her money in chess, once she teaches him how to play. That’s usually how Game Nights at Kara’s loft end - with Brainy and Lena staying long after everyone else has gone home, intensely playing match after match of chess, until Kara finally makes them stop so she can go to bed.

- He ties his hair back sometimes when he’s working, just to get it out of his face (a cautionary measure driven by a past incident in which his hair, uhhh, well, basically caught on fire - he Doesn’t Like to Talk About It). Kara keeps trying to get him to wear his hair like that casually, because she loves the look so much, but he keeps refusing.

- He’s the kind of person who appears to be super disorganized and messy on the surface, but in reality he just has an unorthodox organizational system that only makes sense to him. So, his lab might look like a Disaster, but in reality he knows exactly where everything is at all times.

- And finally, my only Brainy hc that even remotely contradicts canon is that he’s pretty touch-averse, and dislikes it when people unexpectedly touch him if he doesn’t know them super well. This is sorta contradicted by his willingness to touch Lena and Nia (in 4.04 and 4.08, respectively), but I’d also argue that initiating touch is different than being touched, you know? It’s a matter of having control over the situation vs. not having it.

It’s terribly fun to imagine what occupation would appeal toJack in the modern day. Something with a criminal element doesn’t seem too farfetched,though it would have to be something that is more mischief than harm, I think.A clever thief, or my favorite, a treasure hunter. He would have such a leg upworking in the treasure/antiques business, having lived through it all, knowingexactly what the objects were, and remembering hearing about shipwrecks but nothaving the technology to be able to dive deep enough to get at them until now.

Hee, imagine Jack finding some super rich treasure galleon,like Mel Fisher and the Atocha. They have some huge exhibition at a museum witheverything they found laid out in glass cases. He cuts the QUEEN off mid-sentence,disappearing after Lizzy LOL, trying to keep his cool and not make it look likehe’s tripping over himself to greet her. He strikes a pose by the next case inher path, a display filled with gold money chains and an emerald encrustedcross.

Their eyes meet, and Elizabeth marvels that no matter howmuch time has passed, be it days, years, decades, centuries—his dark gaze still has the power to make her melt into apuddle inside. However, on the outside, of course, she’s perfectly cool, payshim a small knowing smile, “Hello Jack.”

Thank youuu! Love me some of my sunshine Natsu !! I apologise in advance if these get a little shippy, but I’ll try not to let them :)

What they smell like:

Though I’d love to think that he would constantly smell like a campfire, but I think he steals and wears Gray’s deodorant when he remembers…or can actually find it aha - otherwise it’s all ash and smoke!

How they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc):

Starfish. Honestly, can’t see him sleeping any other way. This makes things problematic once he starts dating and sharing a bed with Gray…Gray likes to spoon occasionally (it is one of the only ways Natsu won’t starfish and push him out of bed) 

What music they enjoy:

I like the idea that Natsu listens to a lot of classic rock, but he’ll listen to anything if he’s in the right mood. Apart from country that is…

How much time they spend getting ready every morning:

He wears variations the same thing nearly every day! So very little…literally, he just rinses his hair and towel dries it, washes his face (when he remembers), then brushes his teeth

Their favorite thing to collect:

Anything dragon! I headcanon that Gray made him an ice dragon pretty soon after they started dating (one which doesn’t melt), and then after that it became a thing that people just bought him little dragons and that Natsu would buy them too

Left or right-handed:

Ambidextrous, but he uses his left hand for writing, and his right as his lead for fighting

Nahh, I can’t see Natsu as the religious type…

Gray played a trick on him once pretending to be a ghost using one of their bed sheets. Natsu isn’t afraid of ghosts though, he’s afraid of sentient bed sheets. Fuck you Gray…

I feel like Natsu wouldn’t have the patience for arcade games…but the number of carnivals he’s been kicked out of because of trying to compete the with the fire-breathing guy during his act is something Gray wouldn’t like to count.

I'll write more on this later, but just a quick heads up that Remy isn't actually Cajun. He's from new Orleans, born && bread && he's only adapted his accent to a more Cajun accent after he was adopted by The LeBeau clan,  who are Cajun.  Remy has always been adaptive, he's shifted himself to be as close to his new family as possible, from accent to way of life in a desperate attempt at being accepted && recognised as part of the family && not as the stray orphan they picked up.

some basis for why i think they’re similar and could get along:

-both fairly intelligent/intellectual in a variety of fields, can have interesting and stimulating conversations   -Bergstrom is into literature (cries reading Charlotte' Web), history, dinosaurs, mummification processes, music (plays the guitar, recognizes lisa's instrument case as a saxophone), geology (talks about different kinds of rocks)  -Cecil went to Princeton and is into engineering (hydroelectric and hydrodynamic), theater/literature ("funeral for a fiend" - prides himself on his acting ability, discusses Hamlet with Bob), music (makes a reference to the conductor Arthur Fielder in "Brother from Another Series," and sings The Carpenters' "Top of the World"), history (references Cappadocia) 

 -Cecil craves validation after being in Bob's shadow, Bergstrom is the best at giving validation -"Mom, this man makes you feel like there's nobody better." - Lisa about Bergstrom -Cecil's flashback in "Simpson/ Sideshow Sibling Smackdown" shows him being ignored in favor of Bob as a child, and the rest of the comic has Cecil trying to one-up Bob by destroying Lisa -"At last, I'm going to do what Bob never could!" Cecil in Brother from Another Series -Bergstrom's entire episode is about making Lisa feel smart and loved idk how to explain this better 

-they both have a rly good sense of humor -literally like all of Cecil's lines make me laugh he's rly snarky and funny -i feel like Bergstrom would appreciate Cecil's sense of humor, cuz his is kind of weird too 

-if they dated, Bergstrom would have more reason to visit Springfield regularly, and  1) he could stay at Cecil's apartment, so he doesn't have to stay in those pay by the day apartments  2) he would be able to see Lisa more often and be a more present role model  3) he could help facilitate a friendship/ mentorship between Lisa and Cecil, cuz Lisa wants to go to an Ivy League school and Cecil went to Princeton

idk some silly headcanons i have for them:

-they like traveling together..road trips or flying to other countries..when they drive, they listen to books on tape and take turns driving Cecil's car (but it took a while for Cecil to trust Bergstrom with his car. he's very protective of his stuff..Bergstrom on the other hand has a bunch of siblings and is inclined to share everything..also he doesn't own much considering how much he moves around) But Bergstrom really likes taking the train, so they'll do that and fall asleep leaning on each other 

-they go to museums and art shows/galleries together 

-cecil and bergstrom are both good cooks (bergstrom just isn't used to having all the ingredients and supplies on hand, so he's used to opting for microwave dinners or ramen noodles) and they'll both take turns making dinner...but sometimes they just order in and cuddle up on the couch eating chinese and watching old western films (they both point out historical inaccuracies..friends hate watching movies with them) 

-one time bergstrom substitutes at a school that hosts a career panel for the kids, so he invites cecil to talk about engineering 

-cecil has more dating experience, but he's still a little intimidated by commitment...bergstrom dated a bit in college but hasn't been on a date in years before cecil 

-for all the people he's met, cecil thinks mr. Bergstrom is the most interesting 

-Cecil used to not drink coffee very much, but mr. bergstrom has coffee every day and he gets Cecil hooked on it too 

-Cecil teaches bergstrom how to play the piano, and in return bergstrom teaches him how to play the guitar 

-speaking of the guitar...this is rly sappy but bergstrom loves playing his guitar for cecil and serenading him..his voice isn't that great and cecil definitely has more classical training than him, but still..his singing voice gives cecil butterflies something silly 

-bergstrom knew classic musicals and showtunes like oklahoma and fiddler on the roof before cecil, but cecil introduces bergstrom to a wider variety of showtunes and more modern ones..they watch chicago together -they're both big cuddlers 

-when they go out to eat, they each get a dish and they share..this started with Cecil constantly stealing some of Bergstrom's food off of his plate..they reached a compromise 

-cecil tells mr bergstrom that he has a brother but he doesn't like talking about him, so mr bergstrom doesn't ask about him...it's a while into their relationship before cecil reveals that sideshow bob is his brother (mr bergstrom knew that cecil liked krusty's show, but just kind of assumed that he was a bit of an elitist fan since he only watched the old episodes on VHS or when there were reruns on, and he refused to watch recent episodes..he understands a lot more when cecil explains the situation..later he wonders how he didn't notice the resemblance) 

-bergstrom is frugal but he still occasionally buys a scratch-off lottery ticket..cecil teases him about it 

-bergstrom isn't a big alcohol drinker, but he's warmed up a bit more considering Cecil is a wine fucker -I know we never see Cecil at town meetings but he goes and keeps Bergstrom updated on recent events

People always seem to underestimate Remy's abilities, dubbing his as that dude who just throws cards. && I kinda just want to say that while Remy does fight dirty. [ Most people expect that. ] He does also fights smart. He will charge the clothes his opponents are wearing if he needs to. They either need to strip FAST or BANG! [ Or they can just chill out && settle down. That works too. ]

He's charged wolverines skeleton before, he's stolen && used his power to charge an ironman suit. He's charged an opponent's facial piercings. Also, he's thrown an opponent into a fountain && then charged the water around them. Remy is smart && he knows how to use his powers to get an advantage over people. He's grown up surviving, && he can fight well without them. [ His powers aren't just his charging. ]

Naturally, Remy should also be an OMEGA LV mutant.  [ Though he's had an operation to tamper with his ability lv to make it more manageable. ]  He might not able to reach those power lvs now, but he's got a lot of control over what he does have.

Remy really has 0 faith && trust in any establishment. He doesn't trust the government, not their agencies. He doesn't trust the system at all, so when push comes to shove he will deal with everything himself.  [ This mistrust includes S.H.I.E.L.D && the avengers. ] So when Remy finds himself in desperate need of some iron man tec to save his friends life. Instead of asking for help like a normal person && trusting that the Avengers + Iron man will help save a life. Remy takes it upon himself to break into the Avengers tower, to steal himself an iron man suit && then power it with his own mutation. Why trust the system when you can just steal from it && sort your own issues out.
