Well, we finally have the Yellowjackets reunion but I must admit it’s a bit anticlimactic with how many reunion teasers we’ve seen. (but I guess they just wanted to give us a diversion for everything else that happened in the episode).

So... I must now request a Jeff reuniting with the Yellowjackets.

he's even able to open the testing gates by himself in the manga, when Gon and Kurapika seemingly can't. it only takes him 2 weeks of training to be able to do so. From the very beginning, he was shown to be strong and capable.

it's not shown that way in the anime IIRC, so it's understandable that anime-only fans wouldn't know that. but Leorio's never been the weakest link, even if he provides a lot of the comic relief in the story.

the story never stops showing us his strength and potential; There's no way the Zodiacs would bring him on if he wasn't strong, with the ability to grow even stronger. He shows us his strength and potential directly, and the fact that other characters confirm it makes it really strange to me that others don't see it.

Slightly controversial hxh opinion n°2 but I hate that a significant part of the fandom treats Leorio like he is "the normal one" of the main 4 in terms of potential power levels, imo it's just canonically not true.

Ging (a top 5 nen user who directly received an attack from him) describes him as having "huge potential". Hisoka not only spares him but remarks multiple time on the fact that he is an "unripe fruit" and carries him directly to the next exam site to insure that he will pass.

Like come on, he is not just "some guy" with a big heart who lucked out during the hunter exam, a lot of signs point out that he will become a powerful nen user with a big heart!

I hope you like this!! This is my first real request!! I did have a lot of fun writing this :)

Oh gosh I'm nervous lol

Vox looked at his hands, at the room around him. All wires and screens, electronics floor to ceiling.

He didn't understand why you were with the self declared king of the future when you were a mythical creature that belonged to the sea.

You were beautiful, and you were graceful like ocean waves, you even smelled like the salty water of the sea. It wasn't hard to believe that in your "life" you spent your time living on the rocky cliffside, laying in the sand beneath the sun, feeling the gentle waves roll against your body. 

He shouldn't have been surprised when you told him that you had missed it. Hell didn't exactly have beaches, at least not like the ones on the surface.

No warm sun, no salty water.

Vox was nothing if not resourceful though. He had the perfect idea to maybe help ease some of your homesickness. 

You came home from a long day, being one of Voxtech's top secretaries was a very demanding job, but one you enjoyed nonetheless. Plus the boss wasn't too bad to look at.

The smell of the beach was the first thing to hit your nose when you entered your shared flat in the Vee tower. 

"Vox?" You asked into the dark apartment.

"In here my darling~" His voice was buttery and warm. You knew he was up to something, but what, you weren't quite sure yet.

You walked forward to the shared living room where all the LEDs that hung through the corners of the rooms glowed a gentle pink. There were candles lit throughout the room. You picked one up and sniffed.

It smelled like home. 

The label read something like, Sandcastle Surprise *new scent by Voxtech*, which made you giggle. 

You continued your search for your favorite TV, which led your eyes to rest upon a trail of seashells. 

It wound through the hall and ended at the bathroom door. You perked an eyebrow. What on earth and hell was this guy doing?

How did he even find all these shells??

When you opened the door, you gasped. 

Vox was soaking in the tub, bubbles everywhere. The sound of gentle rolling waves played on a speaker nearby. More candles lit up every inch of the counter. And he grinned at you, that stupid lovable grin that made your heart do little flips.

He held out a flute of champagne.

"I thought, maybe you could use a piece of home." You smiled and gladly accepted the glass, climbing gently into the tub with him.

He leaned back so you could see his screen, and then he flipped it to a scene of a beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean. 

It was perfect. You could feel the water against your scales, fins fanning out in the large tub. The sounds of the ocean and the view of your perfect boyfriend's face.

It was like a little piece of heaven in hell.

"Is this Epsom salts?" You asked curiously.

Vox's face flipped back on, "I know right!? This shit rocks!"

The second you walk into your bedroom, Minho's hands are on your waist, holding you with your back against the door.

"Hey," he says, voice dropping lower. It doesn't help your dilemma at all. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay. Why?"

"I don't know. You've been kinda quiet since earlier. Were the boys too much?"

It was yours and Minho's turn to host game this week. All of his friends came over and wherever that group goes, anarchy follows. They were beyond chaotic, but it wasn't anything you couldn't handle. At the end of the day, those goofballs are still some of the most lovable people you've ever met.

"No," you say, "everyone was fine."

"Then what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, I promise." It's cute that he seems genuinely concerned about this, that he thinks something must've happened to upset you in some way when it couldn't be further from the truth. You lean forward to press a quick kiss against his cheek, before you shrug, asking him, "Do you remember when Hyunjin kept interrupting you and you yelled at him to shut up so you could speak?"

"Yeah?"

"I thought it was hot."

Minho takes a moment to stare at you, and you watch in real time as the worry in his eyes slowly dissipates to make room for something else as the realization dawns on him. Twinkling amusement.

Then he chuckles, shoulders slightly sagging with relief, before he pulls you closer to his body, shortening the gap between your face and his before he lets his lips brush against yours. Not quite capturing your mouth with his. Just a ghost of a kiss.

"Is that why you were so quiet?" he mumbles against you. "You got turned on?"

"Hmm."

"Silly. Got me all worked up over nothing." Another chuckle, and suddenly he's bypassing your lips, much to your disappointment. Minho moves to kiss your cheek, then along your jawline before he starts trailing down your neck. "You liked my voice that much?"

"I always like your voice. You know that."

"Then what's different?" he asks, pressing his mouth against that spot that he knows you love. It makes your breath hitch instantly. "You liked that I was mean to Hyunjin? Want me to yell at you like that?"

You laugh lightly, baring your neck for him to mark. "I don't know. It just felt like you were... authoritative. It was hot."

"Yeah? You were thinking about it while everyone was there? You were thinking about me?"

You could tell that your admission strokes his ego, judging by the way his hands slowly drift southward to grab your ass, holding your hips flushed against his.

"I thought about a lot of things."

"What else?"

"Thought about what it'd be like if you were more like that with me," you say, but then you feel a stupid need to clarify what you really mean. "In bed."

Minho detaches his lips from you in an instant, though his hands are still on your body. He looks down at you with darkened eyes and mischief swimming in those beautiful irises. His gaze flickers briefly to your lips before he asks, "Do you want me to?"

For some reason, you feel a hint of shyness prickling at the edges. You asked for this, quite literally just now, but maybe it's the way that he's looking at you that's making you a tad nervous, like he's a predator and you're his prey.

"Yes," you confirm after a minute. "I want you to."

As soon as the words leave your mouth, he takes a step back from you. The switch up is crazy, and coupled with the way his tone turns sultry in a blink of an eye, it's enough to make your head spin.

"Get on the bed," he tells you, palpable temptation dripping off every syllable.

"Minho..."

"On the bed. Don't make me say it again."

absolutely, i love talking about this lol

so i watched stranger things 1 when it came out in 2016 & i was 12. my media literacy wasn't great at the time, and like most people i liked mike and el's little romance. but i did think their kiss came way too fast and kind of out of nowhere. wasn't a fan of that. i thought it would've been better if they didn't get to kiss and made both the audience and mike and el wait. and i was like "uhhh how does she even know what a kiss is" but whatever

then s2 came out, i was 13. i LOVED mike and will's relationship, maybe even more than i liked mike and el's. when mike grabbed wills hand i VIVIDLY remember thinking "they would be such a good couple, but they'd never do that. oh well!". at this point in my life i was realizing my sexuality and was super into queer media. i say that just so you know i was receptive to queer representation and enjoyed it. but to me at that time, i saw stranger things for the massive success it was, famous enough that they'd never have a main character be queer. it just wasn't a thought in my mind that it could ever happen.

i loved the snowball scene and thought mike and el were super cute. i remember thinking "wow their bond must be so deep and they take each other very seriously. it's them against the world"

i was 15 and BEYOND pissed when s3 came out and it was clear mike and el were reduced to comedly relief. i wanted their relationship to be lovable like it was in s2. i hated how mike became so unlikable when he was with el when he was previously shown to be so loyal and caring. and above all, i hated how it was like mike and will's relationship in 2 never happened. i remember thinking "wtf mike?? do you not remember how protective you were of him before?? how close you were??" at the time i thought it was bad writing and it honestly turned me off of s3 and i didn't finish it for like 2 years.

when i finally did i was a bit confused. i remember watching the rain fight and thinking "wow that felt more like a breakup than mike and el's actual breakup" it just struck me how sad it was compared to the breakup. but my heteronormativity towards stranger things was so strong that i didn't even clock will being gay until someone pointed it out for me. and i definitely didn't clock that will was in love with mike. i remember noticing how mike and will were always together and positioned next to each other like jancy and lumax were. but for some reason, and i really don't know why, i just didn't really absorb it.

what really surprised me was the s3 finale, like the final goodbye scenes. during mike and will's i saw mikes reaction to will saying "not possible" and i was like.....hm. he sure seems happy. but whatever

mike and el's goodbye scene just confused me. i didn't understand why mike acted like he didn't know what she was talking about when he spent all season trying to say i love you, i didn't understand why mike didn't close his eyes or kiss her back when he spent all season trying to say i love you, i didn't understand why el walked away and winced, i didn't understand why mike looked like that when she walked away AFTER HE SPENT ALL SEASON TRYING TO SAY I LOVE YOU, and i didn't understand why the music sounded so happy as if NONE OF IT HAPPENED. and when mike hugged karen i was like, why does he look like he just realized something??? wtf is happening???

i didn't realize there was any romance between mike and will until s4. actually, i heard people saying will was gay and in love with mike and i was like "pshh no way". then i saw the trailer where el says will likes someone and i was like "oh my god they did make him in love with mike". but again, for some strange reason, i felt like it was a decision made solely for s4. VERY stupid of me.

here i go more in depth about my specific reactions to s4 scenes but theres one i didn't mention and it's the way mike looks will up and down when he says "cool". i was like "uhh that was kinda flirty..."

but i finished vol 1 thinking about byler a little more. i heard there was a masterdoc about them so i read it, and for the first bit of it i didn't really believe any of it. then i saw the eyewitness parallel and i was like HHHHWHAAAAAAAT???????????????????? i VIVIDLY remember thinking "how is this possible?? didn't this come out of nowh--" and then it ALL hit me in the face. my jaw literally dropped. it's like i rewatched all of st in 3 seconds and everything made sense. the eyewitness parallel finally made me accept the writers would have gay characters and romance, and that was all it took. i never went back. mike and will's bond in s2, the decline of mike and el's relationship, mike and will's tension in s3, mikes reaction to not possible, mike reaction to el saying i love you, all of it made sense. at that point i was like 17 and my media literacy and love/skill for writing had grown a lot. the very first tiktok i made about byler was about how it doesn't make sense for the writers to build this up for so long just for it not to go anywhere, because it doesn't at all. and things just grew from there. i bled blue and yellow and i still do!

it was almost entirely heteronormativity keeping me from seeing byler earlier, so i talk about that a lot. because once you remove that, EVERYTHING makes perfect sense

Domitian / Hermes

I’m pretty happy with the overall shape of this plot. Domitian has a boytoy, the boytoy is actually kinda smart and nice and lovable, but due to shenanigans, Domitian ends up executing him as a traitor in a grand spectacle. Fine.

I do think they should have given Hermes a little bit more agency in the end. So here’s how I would do it in a way that doesn’t require more scenes or change any major plot points:

I’d expand on Hermes' friendship with the guard a bit. Show him in the background of various scenes, just kind of being nice and friendly with various employees of the palace, implying that he’s building his own network with people who are beneath Domitian’s notice. And then show him actually bonding with the guard, talking, not just boning down. Maybe they’re actually conspiring against their boss, or maybe they have a genuine human bond outside of his toxic dependence on Domitian.

And then when Domitian kills them for it, it leaves Hermes some more dignity. He has some things to do in life that aren’t just about sex, you know, he’s not just an ass and a mouth.

I get that this removes a sex scene, I guess they could still have a sex scene in some other context. Have them jerk each other off behind a pillar or something, and then Domitian comes in and they quickly act like nothing happened (showing that Hermes is doing stuff that Domitian doesn’t approve of). Because he really wouldn’t be so dumb as to fuck a guy on Domitian’s bed without his permission. Like, come on, nobody is that stupid, especially not Hermes who has been shown throughout the show to have a good understanding of palace politics.

I'd also let Hermes have some agency in his ultimate end. Maybe he openly threatens to yell out Domitian’s secrets in the arena and THAT’S when they cut his tongue out. Maybe he’s offered some sort of chance to escape (by his friends in the guard?), or at least die in a less horrible way, and actively refuses because he’s like “I want him to watch”. Something like that.

He has these little moments of asserting himself throughout the whole season, and they should have had SOME sort of payoff. And since he seems to be a commoner, bonding with hoi polloi would be a nice way to empower him, I feel. But instead of doing that, the writers took all agency from him and had him die gruesomely after making a sex-related mistake lol. Sad.

because i'm a nerd you can read my opinions about each work below the cut~

S TIER

Chainsaw Man - i mean, csm is just awesome. in all honesty, this manga has changed my life. i KNOW that sounds silly and corny but it's genuinely true. i have been able to get past a lot of my struggles and develop so much as a person since starting this manga. as a fun bonus i feel like i've finally started improving my art again (or at least changing it enough to feel fresh) after like 3 years. i can't really describe how much csm has done for me, but if i had told myself from 2021 that this would happen i would never believe it (especially because i had written off this series for some personal reasons...lol) but yeah. i think i'll forever be grateful for what Chainsaw Man has done for me.

Look Back - i think Look Back is seriously the best piece of media i have ever experienced. i don't think i have ever seen a story so beautifully crafted as this manga, it made me sob when i read it. i remember having to move the manga away from myself so i wouldn't get tears on it. at the time of writing this i am SO SO excited to watch the movie, whenever that will be. i will cry and throw up watching that thing LOL.

Nayuta of the Prophecy - ok maybe i don't TECHNICALLY believe this is an S tier work, but Nayuta is just such a lovable character that i can't possibly rank her any lower. Fujimoto was right to adapt her into csm because she deserves it!! however despite that, this oneshot is the only one that i genuinely wish he would make a sequel to. i think oneshot Nayuta and csm Nayuta are pretty different, so they still don't feel like the same character - i would love to see oneshot Nayuta's personality and relationship with her brother continue to develop!

A TIER

Sisters - one of the few other works i had heard anything about before i started exploring Fujimoto's other stuff, and i definitely felt apprehensive about it. but wow, the fact that Fujimoto is able to take the concept of "girl non-consensually paints her sister naked and it gets displayed on the school wall for everyone to see" and NOT make it weird is crazy! a sweet oneshot that i enjoyed, and love the nuance that was able to be created in such a short amount of time.

Woke-Up-as-a-Girl Syndrome - a really cute take on a silly trope that can often be handled... oddly. i love how much the characters in this really feel like teenagers, doing stupid things but being completely earnest all the while. (Spoilers) i really like how it ends with Toshihide being adamant that he is still male, and also Rie still loving him as he is. very sweet!

Love is Blind - it's no wonder Fujimoto won an honourable mention for this, it's such an adorable and funny oneshot. i was giggling the whole time reading it! i don't really have much to say about it, but i definitely enjoyed it.

Fire Punch - i don't really know where to start with Fire Punch, but wow. it is seriously so impressive to me how good Fujimoto is at tackling such sensitive topics, not shying away from them while also clearly not glorifying them. i also think a big place where Fire Punch shines is character relationships, especially Agni and Togata. they fucked me UPPPPP. it goes off the rails a bit near the end, but i also never got the feeling that it WASN'T what Fujimoto intended with this series. i may not quite get the ending, but it didn't ruin anything for me and i think the rest of Fire Punch is really good at what it does. plus the art is AWESOME ?????

B TIER

Goodbye, Eri - ohhh people might not like me for this one... i'm sorry guys, i just honestly didn't get this manga. i'll definitely reread in the future (me and my sister still haven't finished our sticky notes to read it blurry/clear) but for now i can't rank it any higher. i didn't feel much reading it, and the ending definitely confused me a lot lol. love the art though!

Shikaku - this one's interesting! i thought the story was quite cute, and Shikaku herself is completely adorable. though Yugeru is ummm... not my type let's say. i also do wonder if Makima took any inspiration from Shikaku - she looks similar to her, which to be fair for Fujimoto works probably doesn't mean much (as a lot of his character's look similar to each other /pos), but a clearer comparison is both characters presenting eyeballs they stole from people. (also... if Makima is inspired by Shikaku, is Barem then inspired by Yugeru? yuck) anyways just my speculation, back to the point. the reason this doesn't make its way into A tier is because to me it doesn't really feel like a Fujimoto work? i'm not sure why, but yeah.

C TIER

Mermaid Rhapsody - this one's definitely cute, but as a result of Fujimoto trying to create a "normal story" it unfortunately loses all of the charm of Fujimoto works!! i want it to be weird and fucked up damnit!!!!! though he did succeed in his goal of creating a normal story, so i can't complain too much lol.

Sasaki Stopped a Bullet - i don't have anything against this oneshot, but i think it just doesn't particularly appeal to me. unfortunately nothing in this story grabbed me

D TIER

A Couple Clucking Chickens Were Still Kickin' in the Schoolyard - it's no real surprise this is here, considering it's Fujimoto's first work. overall it was pretty cute, but i'm not all that into aliens..? not much to say lol

Kristen is so fucking relatable as a repressed teenager jfc. I am both horrified and in awe of Ally Beardsley’s playing of Kristen Applebees — Kristen is a MESS but she’s a lovable mess who I’m glad everyone’s kind exasperatedly supporting. I knew plenty of people like her in my school or going through this wild renaissance of new information about themselves (or that they wouldn’t let themselves learn about who they were) and it’s just really uplifting to see Kristen have such good friends through it all (though her speech started sweet and very swiftly needed to be shut down lol) but I know lots of people might like really regard her as frustrating and awful but she’s a teenager who is going through a lot of changes and crises of faith and persona and I just gah. I love her.

Fig and her care toward her two dads is adorable, every interaction with Gilear is gold (also props to Gilear for recognizing Sklonda is too much woman for him) but also the mantras in the mirror were so sweet. I also love how Gilear interacts with all of Fig’s friends and how Fig asserts herself and just wants the best for literally everyone. Yes she is very mischievous (also holy shit her deception skill is so fucking high??) but she’s mischievous on the path of good and I love it.

Fabian makes me sad. Like, he wants to impress his dad but he wants to be his own man. And Bill Seacaster — I still don’t know what to make of him— but being around someone whose mood is entirely unreliable (and assuredly that bleeds into other aspects of him) no wonder Fabian tries so hard to be strong and stable because he’s had to deal with instability his whole life.

Gorgug — I’ve talked about Gorgug a few times now but he’s just such a sweetheart. He called himself stupid and that’s tragic because he may not be the one figuring out all the clues and know what to do but he’s also the one they can rely on to diffuse a situation or just be kind about unknown things and as a barbarian that’s a huge tonal shift that’s so impressive. He’s not the brightest bulb but he may be the sweetest and that matters.

Adaine and her whole sibling rivalry gives me life. I’m glad she’s rebelling against her parents. She became powerful and wonderful and adept DESPITE her parents (whereas Aelwyn always had their full support) and I think that’s something that — while painfully — I hope she’ll learn to carry with pride.

Also Riz? One, he’s such a great like awkwardly confident teenager, and I’m glad he responded to his mom’s hiding of information the way he did (I love that him and Sklonda are like— healthy parent/child relationship) (also love how Brennan plays Sklonda), but he takes this with stride and won’t let all the things dragging him down hold him back and I’m sure for Sklonda that’s both amazing and scary because she wants her son safe but it just warms my heart to see.

And the teamwork here!!! Kristen and Adaine detecting magic and good here? Gorgug trying to find a power source for the palimpsest. THE BIZ REVEAL?? Also Riz’s final move here to take the palimpsest and then pull the gun with Biz!!! That was fucking AMAZING, because of course he’s not cool with what Biz is doing and I also I want Riz and Adaine both to absolutely tear Biz apart.

Adaine and Riz teamups are truly my beloved — like go you angry intelligent kids, go go go!

Honestly all of them — I’m so excited for this fight at the arcade let’s get it.

Naruto: The Will of Fire - I have seen this movie so many times. And I never get tired of it.

How did Sai survive that fall? You know what, it's anime I'm not even gonna question it. I say that even though I have the same thought every time I see it.

I really hate that the animators didn't include bookshelves in Kakashi's apartment. That man reads more than just porn.

Tsunade: "Kakashi are you saying you want me to go down in history as the Hokage who sacrificed her subordinate in order to protect the village?"

Kakashi: "Yes, I do."

Again, further proving my point that he sees no value in his life whatsoever. If I could, I'd jump through that screen and slap him. And here's another problem I have with that, Kakashi really thought that Naruto would just sit back and let him sacrifice himself. What? ARE YOU STUPID?! DID YOU JUST FORGET WHAT YOU TAUGHT THEM?!

Naruto: "This time, no doubt, I'll protect him." Kakashi needs more of that in his life rather than going on a suicide mission. Which he's done repeatedly, by the way.

Tsunade: "What are those idiots doing?" Uh, to save someone from themselves and keep them from being an absolute martyr.

And Shikamaru kinda pisses me off a little bit in this movie. "I want to save Kakashi-sensei too, but I can't sacrifice everyone in the village for that." I'm sorry that's not... why are you talking like giving up Kakashi's life to the enemy is the only option here? I see the logic in Kakashi's plan, but this is NARUTO we're talking about. Have faith in him if anything else.

LMFAO! Sai really only acted because of what a book told him to do. I love him so much!!

Shino was perfection. "Do you think that's all I have?" Where's his crown at? He's an absolute king.

I'm even more surprised that Gaara tried to stop Naruto. He should know better than anyone that Naruto has always cared about others and would never sacrifice the life of anyone in the village to save it. The only one who had faith in Naruto was Jiraiya.

"That would go against Kakashi's wishes." No, Kakashi is an idiot who feels guilt-ridden and is trying to make up for his mistakes. Nothing more.

Gaara: "I won't be swayed by your ideals" *a minute later*

Shikamaru: "I'll stop Naruto. Even if I have to kill him." See, now that's where he loses me entirely. That's where his beliefs become moot. He's being incredibly ridiculous and narrow-minded at this point.

Hiruko's outfit in this movie reminds me of a straitjacket. He should be in one, given how insane he is.

Today is my tenth anniversary with my significant other. ☺️ We've been sweethearts since we were barely out of elementary and I do admit in hindsight that it's weird for middle schoolers to be flirting. Our teachers always said we'll break up sooner or later because we were kids. But here we are. Ten years and going strong! He's honestly one of the best things going on in my life, and I couldn't be happier to have met such a kind and understanding person. We're not perfect, of course, but we always try our best to love each other every waking day.

Idk what I'm trying to achieve with this lol. Maybe a journal of sorts? Although I'm affectionate, I'm not cheesy when it comes to words in person. I doubt he'd ever see this but I just want to have somewhere be proof that I'd written this. I do love him, with all my heart. How couldn't I, when he personally buys me Malleus merch because he knows that stupid fictional horned guy makes me happy???? And now he's feeding me with Battle Pass so I could get Neuvillette for sure LOL. He's so lovable I'm going to cry.

You were never one to fall so easily, so hard, and so full throttled it made your heart ache in your chest. You always told yourself you wouldn't, you couldn't, you would never cater to the thought of love. Love was a selfish emotion that made one weak, causing a person to make rash and, out right, stupid decisions.

But the cursed speech user made it so god damn easy. Every smile, every breath, every text, every brush of skin. It was hard not to fall in love with him.

You hated him for it.

Loathed every fiber of his being, every atom and vessel that made the young man who he was - you despised it. How dare he make you feel such things. How dare he make your heart jump to your throat when he complimented you, how dare he steal your very breath with such a closeness that made your skin scorched, and how dare he say he never loved you at all.

Covering your mouth as not to choke on your own sobs, you swallowed harshly. Rereading messages through blurry, tear ridden, eyes, you couldn't help but feel naive. So young, but so ludicrous when it came to such a heavy emotion, your heart wrenched at such a feeling that wasn't reciprocated.

'Will something ever come of this?'

'Probably not.'

Loved. Past tense. As if using it in a way that made it feel abandoned was easier, you still were feverishly in love with him. Even after he took your heart within his palms, caring and nurturing for it at one time, before ultimately handing it back - fractured and broken.

Should you have seen this coming? Were you really so blinded by infatuation you had missed the signs? Quite the opposite. Toge was kind, compassionate, loving. Whisking you away into emotions you had sworn off for you years, making you weak at the knees from touch or kiss alone.

He would touch you, every brush of his skin sending shockwaves throughout because it was always so gentle, so affectionate. Hold your hand, linking fingers together as a means of comfort. Kiss you, lips soft and so full of passion it made you dizzy. Until he didn't - until it all came crashing down.

You couldn't tell the catalyst within his own turning mind, you didn't bother asking why. Your heart gripped you by your throat and squeezed, further information as to the unrequited love would suffocate you further.

Unrequited was far from the true reason, as infatuated as he was, such a heavy emotion gnashing at his heart until there was simply nothing left. He couldn't find the kindness within his very soul anymore to love, to care, to foster such an emotion. Such a feeling of regard couldn't be found anymore, giving into the lack there of once his mind was set. He could never love you, as he couldn't even utter the words. He could never love you, as he couldn't speak to it. He could never love you, because speaking his desires meant mindless fellowship, or your demise. It tore his heart until it slipped entirely from his fingers.

So you both lit a match, and held a candle in mourning to the thought.

I highly doubt they’d ever be enemies, after all, she is his lieutenant. I do think Lute would probably be pretty irritated with him at first because of how sluggish he is n shit but admittedly overtime… it becomes annoyingly lovable coupled with having to keep scolding him for stupid crap.

But anyways, onto the actual question, I actually do quite like the idea of them having a “no-strings attached” FWB type situation for a really long time until one night either an “i love you” slips out and or they realize how much aftercare has become a thing for them also making them realize how subconsciously attached theyve gotten to each other and then they both just spontaneously realize like “…wait… do i actually like… have feelings… for you…” and they realize they just never wanna leave the other’s arms or pull themselves apart they find themselves genuinely harboring these romantic feelings that they both vowed not to catch and then its just like “well shit!” RHDGEJGSHSGS

But on the flipside, i also very much do see simply a friends to lovers situation going on, adam falls first, she falls harder LMAOO

in both cases lute would slightly more paranoid about the whole relationship because of the stigma of dating your boss and so she tries to keep it on the low due to both that and sort of wanting the details to be kept special between them meanwhile adam is trying not to brag to absolutely EVERYBODY about his smoking hot lieutenant girlfriend because he just cannot keep his mouth shut abt how much he adores her LOL <33
