Danny and his class had gone on a trip to Gotham for a week. He wasn’t exactly happy about that since despite the lower ectoplasm levels compared to amity, there was a lot more death and he could feel them happen when nearby. It made it hard to sleep when he kept jerking awake due to it.

Everything would have been fine if during the planned events they hadn’t come within a certain distance of Arkham Asylum. Danny being a halfa gave him senses that no one else had. One minute he had been following the group and the next pure and utter terror encompassed him and he took off in a random direction to get as far away from that as possible.

When he came back to himself he was halfway across the city, utterly lost, and on the verge of a panic attack because he had never felt like that before, even when he fought Pariah Dark. Whatever was under Arkham was Bad News(TM) and he had no clue what he should do about it.

ohh yeah. well of course. as always i like to imagine multitudes of will smiths inside of my brain, but if i'm thinking specifically about how i'm characterizing him for my current fic, i'd say he's hyperaware of his looks and he fucking hates it. will's put all of this effort in to build up a reputation as kind of a masshole hockey boy, offering to fight q, chatting up foligno, saying he doesn't use conditioner (because presumably that would be gay?), acting a little too cool for school (i.e. for every shark except mack). and you're telling him that he just -- grew up too pretty? doesn't matter how he acts, he's always gonna have to hear it from guys on the ice because he got his mom's cheekbones? seriously?

one of the many reasons i also characterize him as fascinated by macklin's little mouth scar is like. there's physical evidence of what they do. that they're, like. hard. tough. if mack can take a puck to the face and get blood all over the ice and skate back out for the next period, that's a signifier of masculinity that will doesn't have quite yet. he hasn't been through that physical gamut, so he's still got that unblemished pretty boy face, and everyone around him knows it. that same video where he says he doesn't use conditioner (i think about this so frequently), he also gets real blase about facial injuries. gives a token 'wellll you don't want it to happen' before looking over at mack and getting into how you just kind of have to accept it, because it's part of the sport. and i think for him it would be some sort of complicated equation, like -- plays hockey + dickish + unhygienic + can take a puck to the face like a champ = masculine media image = straight media image.

my will is, above anything else, focused on how he's perceived. to the point sometimes of revealing himself because he craves control. like, that hot takes video where everyone else is just walking out onto the ice as they give their takes, but he clearly thought about it, came back, either had them redo the segment or just made them wait until after practice because he wanted to make sure the version of himself that got put out there was the right one. but in the actual video, it looks awkward and out of place -- in his quest to control his image, he reveals that quest for control, and how it sets him apart from his teammates. why does he want to be perceived a certain way so badly? is he just anxious about the spotlight? or maybe he has something to hide, and in trying to hide it he's given the game away.

it's this whole give and take he does with himself and the people around him and the wider world that would extend to his looks for sure. he's growing his hair out, yeah, but how many pictures of him have you seen recently with his curls actually dry and nice looking and NOT stuffed under a hat? i could probably count them on one hand. he does a lot of his interviews (hot takes video!!!) in his base layers -- why? to emphasize the masculinity of his body? to make sure that when people think of him, they think of how athletic he is before they ever think of how pretty he is? too bad, will, i can do both. but i see you.

while i don't have super high hopes for us getting more than one ep with byler as an established couple (or with the acknowledgement they know their feelings are indeed mutual), i still wish we get to see them sharing physical affection (tender or otherwise) that is just. them. like, little gestures we never saw with the other couples, a particular brand of closeness and familiarity charged with the reality that it's still them, each other's person -but anything goes now. no more hiding behind lies, accidental touches and plausible deniability. i just want to see that realization dawn upon them (fast or slowly) and be embraced in spades.

Brother II

Plain, dead laurel bound tight on myrtle branch and more telling than she ought to be. He’s smiling too - or at least he was up until she let the space between her response settle its weight on his shoulders, a boulder as Sisyphean as the conversation they’re about to have Because it’s always the same with him no matter how many times she tells him to cut his losses and just take a vow.

Instead of the berating she has cocked and loaded behind the bow of her lips, their mother’s voice cuts in an arrow all its own,  “That’s wonderful, Phoebus! Who's the lucky youth?”  But Apollo doesn’t take the bait, gold eyes dissecting when he catches her gaze The question he never gets a chance to ask burning through her like fire in her veins long after their mother takes his hand and leads him away so she can humour his insanity.

I'm curious what people think about Victor and Eli's relationship during the Lockland Era. I'm of the opinion that Eli cared about Victor as a person more than Victor cared about him, which isn't to say I don't think Victor cared, but I think his care was a lot more focused on himself and how Eli made *him* feel. This isn't an analysis or anything, really. I don't have evidence from the books to back me. I'm just more sharing a headcannon than anything. If anyone has any thoughts on this please share them I'm curious

i think killer sans would listen to frank sinatra no this isnt because im listening to him and i think his love songs are the kinda slow heartfelt romantic messages and vibes in them fit killer and his romanticness,,,,, ok it totally is hehee,,,,,,,

i think it would be cute if dust and horror dont expect it when they ask killer what music he likes. killer doesn't really seem like the type to listen to music at least right?? or at least not something so sappy really!! dust just nods his head and thinks about it (actually it's a pleasant surprise to learn killer likes that genre) and horror just rolls his eye (what a douche liking songs like that,,,,,)
