Looking back, I can't believe that in Middle School, we had like a group of teachers on campus that cosplayed/larped as Star Trek characters every single day and made their students address them as "Commander" and "Captain" or some other designation and we all just did it with no question or comprehension of why, it just was. Oh and there was an assembly we had one day where they had Klingons visit so they could share with us their culture and that was also somehow normal.

#Shoutout to any one out there who recognizes this experience and went to the same middle school #star trek #honestly if more teachers did this learning would be so much more fun #I didn't have one of the ones that were in uniform #but mine was addressed as Captain and he wore a Hawaiian shirt every day disappointingly but I still love him #he still diligently wore a star trek pin every day tho #and some of the PE teachers couldn't do that they had to be in track suits #but they were still given designations #at this age tho i had no idea what star trek was so i only realized many years later what fucking nerds they were #did i mention that the teachers saluted each other in respect every time in greeting #amazing
