Here's a better and more extensive post about my main sona, AJ.
Some basic info
Full Legal Name: N/A
Aliases: AJ, Mx. Lycaon (when first meeting Phaethon), CabbageBatch01 (silly proxy name)
Pronouns: They/Them
Height: 160cm
A thiren who isn't normally seen often, though you'll know it's them once you see their rabbit like ears and long tail.
Most can't determine what exactly kind of thiren they are, and even AJ themselves don't know, so it's common to joke about them being a "cabbit".
Full writing/ranting under the cut
They mainly prefer to stay indoors. Which is why if asked about their occupation they'll answer freelance artist, which isn't fully incorrect as they do some on the side, but their main thing is being a proxy.
They're not as infamous as Phaethon, but they get the simple jobs done. Mainly because they have some specially customized bangboos that are unique to then only as these bangboos are actually illegally modified though, so they are the only ones who knows the inner workings of their companions. Luckily their special modifications only are used for said proxy commissions, being filled to the brim with mechanisms for protecting AJ as they guide their clients.
They don’t take too many jobs, the only exception being ones pertaining to Victoria Housekeeping Co needing a proxy. But AJ is usually chosen as a last option, mainly because of Lycaon not wanting to put them in any potential danger.
When their not working they normally take care of the home they share with Lycaon, as the two are married. Though most don't know this since neither really care to make it known, but it's obvious once that fact has been told. This doesn't mean they're not affectionate, quite the opposite in fact. It's more so many confuse them for newly dating then having been married for years.
Also another thing to note is that the outfit they wear is only one of many different looks they have, as one of their ways of keeping their identity a secret from proxy work is by changing their appearance a lot. So they switch between different aesthetics, sometimes switching between masculine and feminine looks. Though they do prefer to be feminine.

It was never easy when when someone was forced to confront conflicting personal truths, and Vrayan in particular was not particularly fond of problems she couldn’t bite. This time was no different. On one hand, medical professionals of any sort were not to be trusted, excluding her beloved Kamala of course, and maybe Selene. On the other hand, however, PR0T0 said this would help, and that it would swear on its life that she would be safe, and she trusted it above all others. In the end the second is what won out, which is the only reason she could now be found in this building, every inch of her wound up and on edge.
Although the rabbit trolls ears were far too big and heavy to move around on their own, her nose twitched and eyes darted as she tried to take as much information as possible. A gold was just outside the door, which was open, looking about as unamused as you can get. Vray had instinct swiped at her and another drone with softer looking features had instantly grabbed her and now continued to hold her. All we’re waiting for the actual doctor to arrive.
“I said I’m sorry” the Cabbit said, trying to at least make conversation
“Look, I literally could not care less, I’ve certainly dealt with worse” she didn’t bother wiggling, well aware she was not going anywhere until she either used her psionic or Xuange showed up. Luckily the later did not take too long, and Tertet was gently set on her feet as soon as he could be seen down the hall. She brushed her clothes off and adjusted the white coat she had been given earlier.
Something about the man that came in instantly put Vrayan even more on edge than she already was. Maybe it’s the way he felt like a memory she couldn’t quite recall, maybe it’s the way PR0T0 tensed up slightly beside her. Whatever the reason a small growl blossomed in her chest, claws digging into the bed under her.
The doctor did not even react to the threat, simply giving the pale mutant a quick glance then walking over to grab some medical instruments. Well, seemed like this was going to be an interesting interaction.
—————————
The whole thing went smoother and faster than Vrayan could have expected. Vray had to deal with a fair bit of poking and prodding, but it was relatively painless all things considered, and soon enough she was laying on her stomach getting exactly what he was going to do to her explained. Not that it actually made any sense, of course. She couldn’t help but let her mind wander, wondering if Selene or Kamala would understand what was being said… maybe she should tell Kam about this when she got back. Wait, that would require listening, fuck.
She tuned back in just in time to be asked if she was good to go.
“Yeah, as ready as I can be, anyway”
She squeezed PR0T0’s hand as the doctor nodded. No turning back now.

[Modern AU Xander]
“Phrases like “Welcome back“ or “Here you are, finally“ while accompanied with a warm smile gave me a feeling of safety and for a short moment, all worries are faded away.“
- Probably a Quote from an imaginary Fanfiction about Barista Xander when you enter his newly opened Coffee Shop after a while of visiting it.

Note
I've seen it speculated that Anne's sacrifice and meeting with the Guardian might have been an intentional homage to the ending of Puella Magi Madoka Magica (which given the show's love of pop culture references seems to be fairly plausible). So for potential AU ideas, how does the girls making a poorly thought out contract with an eldritch cabbit to become magical liches girls sound?
That's a neat bit of analysis.
As for the AU I think it would have some potential, though I don't know how much different it would end up from PMMM. Premise wise it makes total sense.
Timeline
Marcy is the first to make a deal, obviously for a way to stay with her friends in LA so she doesn't have to move. Probably gets a scholarship to a prestigeous boarding school in LA She introduces Anne and Sasha to the cabbit just having the time of her life as a magical girl.
Sasha is the second to take the deal, desperate to protect Marcy when she gets in over her head fighting a witch. Wishes for something straight forward and practical. Something like a straight up strength power up.
Anne I think is the most hesitant of the three, getting bad vibes from the cabbit. Eventually regrets this when Sasha gets killed by getting tricked by a powerful witch. Marcy in turns becomes a witch when grief over being indirectly at fault for Sasha's death by introducing them to the cabbit.
Anne wishes for the power to go back and save them, and in turn becomes our Homura parallel. Constantly suffering through time loop after time loop trying to find some way of saving her friends
You could set the POV with Anne trying to figure it out how to save them all, or if you wanted to go the PMMM route, center it on Marcy in one of the way later time loops as her best friend one day suddenly seems to be groundhog daying it up, knowing everything thats about to happen
No Idea how it would end. Probably bittersweetly, which would fit for both source materials.

Armed Disarmed
Hello darlings! I hope you're having a happy Spring so far. I certianly am!
Today's story was brought to you by Kat! Darling, you're an absolute joy. Thank you for all your support!
Prompt: Someone asking Vree "Is it true that...?" about humans.
+++
“Is it true that humans drink poison recreationally?”
Vree looked up from his food when someone sat across from him. It turned out to be a new arrival to the ship. An Ul’rac, if Vree was remembering right. The horns were… well they were reasonably distinctive, and added an interestingly haunting sort of ‘hoot’ to the Ul’rac’s voice as the horns were hollow, and amplified their speech.
“Sometimes, yes,” Vree said, since he had been asked a question, and it was only polite to answer. “I believe you’re thinking of alcohol, or perhaps caffeine?”
“The dark beverage I’ve seen many of the ship’s humans consuming in the mornings.”
“Human-Nerea, Human-Liara, and Human-Marsha prefer tea,” Vree supplied, since he doubted the Ul’rac knew the difference. “Human-Amir, Human-Gruk, and Human-Matti prefer coffee. They look similar in their most common presentations, but you may have noticed a difference in smell.”
“I did, although both beverages have a toxicity warning on the dispenser.”
Vree chuckled wryly. The warnings had been his suggestion after the third time his humans attempted to talk another crewmate into consuming something that was decidedly poisonous to anyone but their own species. “Yes, both beverages contain caffeine, which is the toxic element in question. It acts as a stimulant for many humans, although some report negative effects.”
The Ul’rac stared at him with an expression Vree knew well. That was the expression of one who had thought they understood just how strange humans were, and had abruptly realized just how much of that particularly fearsome beast was still buried under the sand. Vree understood the feeling all too well.
“My name is Cabbit, Zey/Zir” the Ul’rac introduced zirself and took the seat across from Vree, zir meal in hand. “I’ve read all your papers, and met several humans, but they’re…”
“Strange,” Vree told zir tiredly. “The word you’re looking for is strange, and yes, they are. Humans evolved very differently than any of our Galactic races, and are a culmination of a truly staggering variety of other beings, all of whom are cross-fertile with humans, and many of whom possess magic in varying flavors that may or may not have a profound effect on their appearance, diet, and ability.”
Ul’rac-Cabbit stared at Vree. Vree did his best not to look exhausted by the very thoughtof his humans, all of whom were…. Well, they were all even stranger than the standard variety of humans that the Alliance was generally used to. There was no explaining that with any degree of alacrity, however.
“You read my papers,” he tried again when Ul’rac-Cabbit continued to stare. “I imagine you saw the recorded presentations as well. Are you in the camp that believes me, or the camp that thinks I’m a relentless grandstander with some very sophisticated technology to fake it all?”
“I saw Human-Liara light on fire during a shouting match with Human-Nerea.”
“Ah. Yes, that does tend to be somewhat convincing,” Vree admitted with oddly fond memories of the time he threw Human-Amir at a group of pirates. It seemed like a long time ago, back before he had any idea what a djinn was, and had only seen Human-Nerea in her scales the once. Now he had seen a djinn appear as a nebula, heard a Wish spoken, somehow befriended the First Mermaid, and riddled with the First Dragon. He had been to Earth and seen the Great Library, and heard the truth of Magic from the only being who could possibly explain it well. “So, you believe me. What other questions do you have?”
“How do they…” Ul’rac-Cabbit waved one many-fingered hand through the air in a gesture to try and take in the group of humans, presently all gathered at their own table and having what sounded like a heated argument about something called ‘liars dice’. They had an ongoing arrangement for something called ‘game night’ that Vree still hadn’t dared to ask about. “They seem to pack up, but I’ve yet to see any serious predatory behaviors from any of them but Human-Gruk.”
“Humans will pack-bond with anything,” Vree said, much resigned to being one of the anythingsin question. He wasn’t particularly annoyed by it, all things considered. He did adore his humans, and his friendship with Lady Hoshi was one of the prouder events in his life. Who would have thought that he would craft a friendship with an ancient being who was somehow even more curious about the universe as he was? “On that note, you’re new to the ship. I understand that cleaning robots are intended to be disposable, but the humans have a habit of claiming them as packmates. If you see one painted with non-regulation colors, leave it be. Human-Gruk is very protective of them.”
“I saw two earlier that seem to have…” Ul’rac-Cabbit hesitated, and for good reason. “They seemed to have knives attached to the tops?”
“Great,” Vree muttered, since Human Weirdness was absolutely his problem to deal with. “I told him to stop arming them. Where did you see them?”
“Fifth deck rec room. They seemed to be having a disagreement with one of the crew. They were rather definitely in pursuit.”
“Yes,” Vree sighed, and finished off the last of his food in three quick bites. “They do that. Excuse me. It would be better if I disarmed the cleaning bots before someone gets annoyed enough to smash them. None of us want Human-Gruk to repeat the Bulkhead Incident.”
“I dread to ask…?”
“One of the Emmrak,” Vree named a species of large, powerful, heavily-armored beings who liked to fight almost as much as Human-Gruk did, “Destroyed one of Human-Gruk’s cleaning bots. Human-Gruk threw him through a plate-metal bulkhead. I understand they’re close friends now, but I would still prefer to avoid the damage inflicted upon the ship that might come with another such incident. Do enjoy your meal, Ul’rac-Cabbit, and search me out if you have any future questions.”

Bothers the fuck outta me that several popular furry content creators have yet to unfollow Skye Cabbit (who owns the fursuit company Thunderhowl Studios). I wouldn’t usually post something like this but.
She was outed for grooming and raping a 15 year old when she was 22. She’s trying to downplay everything.
And yet several popular furry creators — BetaEtaDelota and Majira Strawberry are two of them — are still following her. This information has been out for almost a week and they’re still following her.
I am of the opinion “following ≠ endorsing”* HOWEVER when you have over 200k subscribers on YouTube and over 100k on Twitter (Majira) or even just over 175k subscribers on YouTube and just under 8.5k followers on Twitter (Beta) and you don’t do commentary videos you should NOT BE FOLLOWING OUTED PEDOPHILES. They’re exposing their following which INCLUDES MINORS to a fucking criminal. And it’s fucking disgusting.
This information has been out for almost a week. These popular furries are quite active on Twitter. They should’ve heard about this by now, ESPECIALLY considering another popular furry creator THAT THEY ARE ALSO FOLLOWING has commented on the situation and quote retweeted the victim’s document.
It is honestly so fucking gross to me. I am 99.9999999% sure they’ve seen the allegations. And they haven’t given any indication that they care, or even that they’ve seen the fucking document on all this.
Anyway yeah if these popular furries don’t unfollow Skye Cabbit soon they’re getting a block from me because I am not okay with Twitch streamers who don’t mention/talk about big situations like this following a fucking pedophile.
*If I know someone does commentary videos, I am fine with them following someone as a means of sourcing information on that person to make people aware of it. That’s fine. That’s how you get information on someone. HOWEVER that is the ONLY circumstance I think merits following horrible people. Otherwise don’t follow them. It’s gross especially when your main demographic is teenagers.

Homebrew: the Furmulus race [WIP v1.0]
Alice blinked at the white rabbit, and the rabbit blinked back.
Well, no: Alice had seen rabbits before, and this wasn’t much of a rabbit at all. Rabbits were about four feet shorter and didn’t have any thumbs; they certainly didn’t wear frilly dresses like this rabbit-girl did. Rabbits also didn’t tend to hop out from nowhere, get right in a person’s face, and ask who that person was in plain Sylvan. Some fey might do that, but the fey Alice had seen before looked more like butterflies than bunnies.
“I’m a cat person, actually.” Alice answered, using humor to mask her surprise.
The rabbit-girl frowned at that. Her humanoid nose twitched as she looked Alice up and down. “No you’re not.”
“But I am.” came a voice from above.
Tumblr media
Only a bit more beastly than a humanoid wearing costume ears and a tail, the furmuli are an animal-like culture of people native to the Feywild. They’re thought to have been created by a more powerful version of the Awaken spell, though they can’t make regular beasts into more furmuli, the original method and the knowledge of who had originally done it now lost to time.
On the shorter side and positively pastel, most every furmulus is friendly and personable, able to get along with all but the most evil of people. They’re simple creatures, caring more than careful, who work better working for someone else than being left unsupervised. Even so, families of them might be found off the beaten path nearly anywhere, perfectly happy with or without visitors.
Caution: they might follow you home.
Soft and Fluffy (Physical Description)
Furmuli all have very pale skin, and their eyes are never a dark color either; both are almost always warm hues between pink and yellow, though the eyes sometimes range toward blue. Oddly-shaped pupils aren't uncommon, though they're not common either. Their fur and hair are all the same thing, only a shade at most off from white; they'll never call themselves just white, though, meaning a furmulus colored the palest of lavenders would think of themselves as very purple.
All furmuli have animal-like ears and tails; what animal they resemble varies from person to person. Though the ears and tails always resemble a preexisting animal - typically some at least semi-domesticated land mammal - rather than being a shape all their own, the ears and tail do not necessarily match. The ears grow up from where most humanoids have their ears, sticking out of the tops of their heads from the sides, while the tail grows from the tailbone.
Every furmulus has black eyebrows and whiskers, the latter of which form a small number of lines across their cheeks, close to the skin and so not as useful as a typical beast's whiskers. They can’t grow facial hair over those areas, though mustaches and goatees can grow even on some women. Furmuli are furry practically from birth, with puberty not making them any hairier. They grow whitish fur over their chests, backs, and limbs; body shaving is very uncommon, with only the head (including the ears) and tail typically being styled by even the most fashion-conscious furmuli. Because whiskers are sensitive, cutting them is taboo and they are rarely touched outside of grooming.
Furmuli have rounded features, with no real sharp ends or edges, going from baby-faced to wrinkled over the course of their lives. They dress mostly in whites, reds, and golds, and most enjoy wearing complex frills and designs. They normally choose to dress like children regardless of their age, though they otherwise put an effort in to clothe themselves to match the cultures around them.
Domesticated (Personality)
Furmuli typically refer to themselves as animals (saying "that cat" instead of "that furmulus with cat-like ears"), and take to creative combinations of words to refer to their own combinations (a "cabbit" for cat-like ears and a rabbit-like tail, or vice versa). They might say they’re “furmuluses”, or otherwise play fast and loose with the intricacies of language, with a fondness for combining words in odd ways or simply inventing new ones and hoping those around them can follow along. Other furmuli always keep up with ease, so they don’t realize they’re doing it even when other races ask them to stop.
Family and familial love are the most important things to a furmulus, who would do anything to make their loved ones happy. They consider friendship or purely romantic love to be weaker forms of familial love, and would express any strong love in terms of family. They think of spouses the same as best friends or blood brothers, for example, with the romance between them being a personal matter.
Being native to the areas that put 'wild' in the Feywild, Furmuli have a naturalistic understanding of the world around them. Rather than worshipping any specific gods, they consider concepts themselves to have power; a furmulus might ask Trickery itself for help with a prank, or will Life to help heal an injury. Though they have nothing against cultures that speak to their concepts through entities, what deity or archfey chooses to reply to their requests isn't something most furmulus would think much about when using divine magic. It’s very possible that some patron deity, perhaps whoever made them to begin with, is looking out for their oblivious child race.
Although most furmuli would rather run away than face conflict, being cornered or witnessing others cornered will convince most furmulus to fight. They lack any beastly means of doing damage, but would do their best to end a battle with at least their words; they would rather resort to biting than give up and let someone they care about be hurt, but would really rather do neither. A furmulus could be tricked into needless violence or into letting something bad happen by inaction, but would be unhappy to find out they had done harm.
Sylvanian Families (Culture)
Furmulus culture is extremely collectivist; the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one. They do not normally differentiate between different types of ones, and would be baffled or even offended by cultures where there are common people suffering while a small percent prosper. The ideal for the furmuli is a society with minimal internal conflict and maximum happiness, rather than a society with the most wealth or power.
Their communities are usually made up of a few clusters of families. They're usually governed by an individual or a small group, who are expected to make decisions themselves when it would be too tedious for everyone to vote on it. What their ruling class is called, and the other superficial elements of their society, depend on what other cultures they know of; those in the Feywild parody a court with a king or queen, though they’re just as likely to call that same leader a mayor or captain. Whatever words they use, their lives are filled with sharing, making sure everyone has enough of what its members can hunt, gather, or otherwise create from available materials.
Furmuli will farm or mine if living in a place with preexisting farmlands or mines, but will not cause large-scale change on their own. Whether natural or made by other races, furmuli take what they are given and don't fix what isn't broken, living in manmade structures and working in large industries among other races, or living outdoors and working with whatever resources they can survive on in their own corner of the world. Furmuli are very accepting of any outside influence or internal new ideas, not scrutinizing unless something contradicts their core racial values of everyone getting a share and no one getting hurt.
Although most furmuli can be found thriving alone or with other species, their way of life like any other does have its blind spots. Due to their beliefs on family being such a big influence, they have trouble with children who do not inherit their parents' important qualities, struggling to adapt if their queen's child is not a good leader herself. Furmuli who cannot always adapt can be overlooked in favor of the larger community, and can easily find themselves running away rather than being able to have the majority change for a smaller minority. The happy nature of most furmuli can seem fake, though it’s almost always genuine, because they value happiness so highly that they don’t want to express true negativity when it wouldn’t help the group to do so.
And Home Before Dark (Adventuring)
Furmuli enjoy learning magic for utility, and most would rather learn a damaging spell than how to damage with a weapon. The typical furmulus might know a spell or two to help them get around, such as Feather Fall, though most never go beyond that. Many of them are capable of becoming sorcerers, thanks to their mixed ancestry. There are a number of furmulus druids and bards, but a furmuli with any sort of martial training is extremely rare.
They like to explore, either in groups or alone, though most don’t venture too far and will return home often rather than spending long stretches of time far away. Those that become full-time adventurers typically have some problem at home, either that they’ve left to try and solve or left because they couldn’t; it takes something dire to convince a furmulus to be distant from who they love most. As such, a furmulus without a preexisting family is likely to settle down if they find a good place while travelling, or to determine that nice place is with a travelling companion and resolve to follow them anywhere.
Furmuli see other races as all generally people like they are, though they’ll have an easier time with anyone they’re more familiar with. If shown a tree and a goblinoid and asked which would be more likely to hold a conversation, most furmuli from the Feywild would assume the tree was a dryad before being sure of the goblin. They hold no ill will towards new races, simply taking a long moment to accept that something so unlike the creatures they met growing up are people at all. However, unlike most sheltered humanoids, they wouldn’t be surprised at all by the likes of tortles, or any mundane animal that happened to speak Common, since animals are what they’re the most familiar with of all.
Furmuli can reproduce with the same list of species that elves can. When reproducing with another race, the children come out resembling clones of one parent or the other. Any two furmuli can have children together, who then typically inherit the ears from one parent and the tail from the other, with a mix of their parents’ hues.  Having only one child at a time is the most common for Furmuli, but they’re much more likely to have twins/triplets/etc. than most humanoids are.
Pet Names
Furmuli have a vaguely playful cadence to their names: a string of consonants or vowels never goes on for too long, despite their otherwise European flair, making it sound like someone made them up one syllable at a time. They have a given name, at least one family name, and anywhere from zero to three middle names; one middle name being the most common. Their names usually all sound interchangeable, except that firsts and middles tend to be shorter than the last names (which are usually only two or three syllables themselves), and few names end with a vowel. They usually call each other by their given names.
Those without family names seem very strange, as family is such an important thing to them. Adding more family names on the other hand is considered normal, if one grows to think of a group of friends as another family; though, after two or three, other furmuli might grow curious of the story behind them all, since it’s odd to ‘go through’ so many relationships so quickly. First or middle names being copied from other cultures isn’t typical, due to the fey-taught importance of having one’s own name, but added family names can be from anywhere.
Subraces
Furmuli can be most accurately divided into three groups; diurnal, crepuscular, and nocturnal. Though most of them stay up through the day and sleep through the night regardless of their nature, and though the Feywild does not have any clear way to measure day and night, what time they are suited for informs their personality and behavior.
A diurnal furmulus is much more likely than a nocturnal to be extroverted, with crepuscular being somewhere in the middle, all able to hold friendships but some more 'sunny' than others. (Male furmuli are typically more extroverted than females, though to a lesser extent.) Along with having a beast’s characteristics to match, daytime furmulus usually have coloration towards yellow while the nightly ones have bluish tones; those associated with twilight have reddish tints instead.
Furmulus Traits
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 2.
Age. Furmuli reach maturity at age 7. The life expectancy varies based on their beastly characteristics, with larger animals usually living closer to 100 than the minimum of 50.
Furmulus age conversion:
Human age 0-25: x0.4
Human age 25-50: x0.6
Human age 50+: x0.75
Alignment. Furmuli are often either very lawful or very chaotic, with the same leanings throughout their whole community, and they are almost never evil. Being passionate is no reason for them to step on others’ toes, so a furmulus would say if so asked.
Size. Furmuli are typically between 4 and 5 feet tall, regardless of what size of animal their ears and tails resemble. Your size is Medium.
Height: 3'9” +2d8
Weight: 30 lbs. +(inches increased from 3'9” x1d4)
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Beastly Nature. You have two creature types: humanoid and beast. You can be affected by a game effect if it works on either of your creature types.
Oh My Ears and Whiskers! You gain proficiency in one skill of your choice, relating to your type of beast. For example, cats typically have talent in Perception or Stealth.
How Late It's Getting! A furmulus can take the Disengage action as a Bonus Action on each of its turns.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice, usually one spoken by your nearest non-Furmulus neighbors.
Diurnal Furmulus
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Speak with Small Beasts. Through sounds and gestures, you can communicate simple ideas with Small or smaller beasts.
Crepuscular Furmulus
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 1.
Fey Ancestry. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.
Nocturnal Furmulus
Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in Darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in Darkness, only Shades of Gray.
Those with ears and a tail from two different animals can mix and match one ability score increase and one feature from the subraces above, as appropriate. Ability scores more often correlate to a furmulus’ tail, and features to their ears.

Discord Thread Archive - #3
This is a thread written on “Klonoa Party”, a server on Discord with Maxipawz, available on Twitter and DeviantART and Moonlit-Traveler on Discord.
Characters: Lephise, Ghadius, Klonoa
Setting/s: Kingdom Of Cress, Phantomile,
Notes: This thread was more of a test-round between us. A section has been omitted where I performed the roles of Jiji and Huepow.
@maxipawz
The wind was blowing softly in Breezegale. It was a lovely day for getting out and trying something new. With her alone time in check, Lephise spent it rather oddly. She bothered not to take the bucket off of her head, and instead somehow found herself wandering through town. Such a strange girl she is. Her alone time, however, would be cut short, as surely someone would be noticing she would come by. She was humming to herself, stepping carefully as not to fall or run into anything. "Laalalaaa, lala-ooh! Laaaa...lalaaa~"
Moonlit-Traveler
{Heading towards Lephise was a rather familiar face. A long eared kid in a cap. It was Klonoa- the boy who had saved Phantomile 3 years ago. But...something was wrong. Rather than his usual jovial and blissful nature- he looked depressed...}
@maxipawz
"Lalalaaa...~ Aaah.." Lephise soon stopped, very close to Klonoa. "Alright, that's enough silly singing for now, my ears are really starting to hurt..." She spoke to herself, lifting the bucket off of her head. Glancing around, she came to the realization of where she was. "...Oh, my stars...how did I...no, I prefer not to think about it." With another look around, the sight of a familiar face caught her beaming eyes. She gasped audibly. "Oh..! The long-eared hero, Klonoa...! Is it really you? How did you..." She tilted her head as she began to draw close. "Aah, my dear, you seem so struck by something.."
Moonlit-Traveler
{Klonoa was trying to hold back his tears. He wasn't sure where to turn to- and then he spotted the Songstress.} Klonoa: Manya...? Oh...H-Hiya, Ms. Lephise...Have...you seen Huepow...? I really need to talk to him...it's important...
@maxipawz
Lephise looked worried, noticing her world's dear hero in such distress. "Aaah, Huepow? I...do not know his wherabouts, but I could take you to the Queen. Surely she would know." She insisted. To be quite frank, it's been a while since she's seen the prince. Now that it's on her mind, it's starting to even concern her.
Moonlit-Traveler
Klonoa: I sure hope so...I needed to talk with him again...especially after what happened the last time I was here...{It was the three year anniversary since Klonoa was ejected from Phantomile- when the truth had slapped him in the face. The truth of how Huepow replaced his memories with fake ones- the truth of how Huepow had manipulated and lead Klonoa astray. As much as he wants to move on- he simply can't forget- and it's been eating away at him.} {The Cabbit was struggling to keep his tears in check- opting to put on a brave and confident face in front of the Diva, but he was struggling immeasurably. Water had started trailing from his eyes- his hat shielding his face from the sorrow. Klonoa didn't want Lephise to see him like this.}
@maxipawz
Lephise could only imagine how distressed Klonoa was when he was ultimately dragged from this world. To have everything taken away from him so quickly, it hurt her just thinking about it. It was destiny, another thing she had no control over. Strange how it all worked. Humbly, she turned her back to him, leading him off to the Cress Kingdom. Only then when they were walking through the halls had Lephise soon spoken up. "It has been quite some time...the Cress kingdom has been more quiet now more than ever. I cannot help but begin to worry, that something might happen..." She stopped in the middle of a large room, glancing around. "Your majesty? Your majesty, are you around?"
Moonlit-Traveler
{Despite what had happened, Klonoa was worried as well. Although it hasn't been TOO long since he saw Huepow, and despite everything that had happened- he still considered the Moon Prince his friend. But...he wanted answers. He wanted to clear the air with Huepow as soon as possible.} Klonoa: Huepow...? It's...i-it's me, Klonoa! Are you here?! ....W-Where are you!?
@driftstar13
As Klonoa stepped into the familiar kingdom of Cress and coursed the halls, searching for that soft and pudgy face of the prince that he considered his best friend, he found that while he was greeted by a few stray guards and the occasional remaining Moo, it was mostly empty. Huepow must've been deeper inside, and as Klonoa traveled to find and speak to him eventually something stirred in another room, a shape in another room that made Klonoa freeze in place as something in the back of his head screamed at him, but what did it mean? Slowly,  a hand emerged from the side of the door. While, for a moment, Klonoa was lead to believe that he had found Hewpoe that was definitely not his hand. Those red claws however were a lot more familiar than what he would've liked. "Prince Hewpoe... is not here." A low, chilling voice told the dream traveler as a cloaked figure stepped out into the doorway, towering well above the long-eared feline. He had wanted to forget the empty stare of that weird, avian-shaped mask. "I'm certain that he would have appreciated an announcement of your visit, dream traveller."
Moonlit-Traveler
{A chill ran down the Cabbit's spine. How?! How was he here- after Klonoa had defeated him all those years ago!? The boy readied his Wind Ring, a fight seemingly ready to break out.} Klonoa: Ghadius...How are you- ...What're you doing here!? What did you to do Huepow!?
@driftstar13
The entity stared down at Klonoa. He could feel it. The simple fact that he was here was horrifying. "Did you forget?" He simply reminded, lowering his head a little. "The song of rebirth invigorates this world, and everyone in it, including the ancient spirits." Ghadius explained. As of right now, he appeared to have no ill will. "I have not harmed the prince." He finally mentioned, "He has been involved with the people of the other kingdoms. He is not here. That is all I can say."
@maxipawz
Ah. Ghadius had returned for another visit. Rather unfortunate timing, however. Lephise hurried in-between the two. "My apologies, I can explain, Klonoa. I have willingly invigorated Ghadius so we may work together to bring about a more stable Phantomile. It was a decision I had made based on my experiences." She looked to Ghadius as he explained. "I see...that would make sense, him being away to involve himself with other kingdoms more. It must be private business, seeing that he is not vocal about his whereabouts, which is why I'm starting to worry. I may have to recommend an investigation if nothing improves soon..."(edited)
Moonlit-Traveler
Klonoa: After everything Ghadius has done- you really expect me to beleive he wants a "Stable Phantomile"!? I can't forget what he did! He woke Nahatomb up and nearly destroyed Phantomile! YOU! YOU are the reason my Granpa is dead! Klonoa: I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU, GHADIUS! NEVER, EVER, FOREVER!
@driftstar13
Ghadius didn't seem all too affected by Klonoa's ranting. In fact, he chuckled. "I do not know your grandfather." He admitted, "It seems that Joka had been misbehaving before you defeated him." It was insulting. Ghadius simply laughed off Jiji's death like it was nothing. However, he had every reason to. "Don't you want to greet your grandfather as well, Klonoa? He should be at home, alive and well, all thanks to Lephise's Song of Rebirth." He gently laid a hand over Lephise's shoulder. Was he saying the truth? Something about it was very fishy... "But I do not blame you. Joka has never bothered to visit me either."
@maxipawz
"Ahh, Klonoa..!" Lephise squeaked, her small body hopping in place from the sheer boom in Klonoa's voice. He was audibly upset over this, and rightfully so. "Remember what we have said! The world has been restored to order, during the time before the events you went under. I'm happy to say your grandfather might just so be alive and well, as we speak. I do not visit Breezegale all that often, but when I do, I see quite a few familiar faces." She smiled gently, letting Ghadius rest his hand over her shoulder. "You must have just arrived, Klonoa. It's a lot to take in."
Moonlit-Traveler
Klonoa: ......I'm still mad at you...Even if you claim to be helping out Phantomile and bringing order to it and what-not...It's no excuse for what you did! ...Oh- and FYI- I've run into your Clown a few times! He's still just as much of a sleezeball as I remembered! The dude still thinks you're dead!Klonoa: ...And if you ask me...I wish YOU were still dead!
@driftstar13
Ghadius could only chuckle, and lean forward, a little uncomfortably close to Klonoa's face. "You still have much to learn, dream warrior. Don't let your hatred consume you." After that warning the entity stood back up, straightening his back, "I wouldn't want you to repeat my mistake. You have every reason to despise me, as I have enough reasons to despise the people of Phantomile. But I am here to face my responsibilities. You must too. As for Joka... tell him I said 'Hello'."
@maxipawz
"Aaah, Klonoa...Ghadius..." Lephise was struck with grief. Ghadius was right when the people of Phantomile could keep their grudges, but nothing was going to change the fact that he was here, and ready to change. She felt helpless as she watched the two speak back and forth.
Moonlit-Traveler
{Klonoa wanted to keep his anger up, hoping that venting would save him from his depression. But...it wasn't working. Every world he had been to had tossed him aside as soon as he fulfilled his purpose. He didn't want to be angry- not like this...he was hoping to reconcile with Huepow and have fun again...not to be reminded that he would constantly be rejected by the worlds he'd help out. Tears once again began to drip from the boy's eyes. He was trembling- knowing that all of that heartbreak, all the toying of his emotions from his time in Phantomile was utterly meaningless.}{He wanted to see his Grandpa- he WANTED to meet with Huepow- but how could he now? He was trying so hard to not let his sadness get the better of him- but he collapsed on his knees- his eyes watering to the extreme and began to sob uncontrollably.}
@driftstar13
Klonoa was vulnerable. Something about it struck Ghadius a little. While his anger was amusing it was almost bizarre to find him suddenly bawling at his feet. It was surprise more than anything. He truly had forgotten that Klonoa was just a child. But he was a child with purpose and potential. While they had different paths and goals he wanted to make sure Klonoa didn't lose his way. "... Go home, child." He commanded, "Go and see your grandfather. He must miss you very much." Perhaps seeing his family again would help. Would grandpa even remember him? What if this world was just reborn without Klonoa, as if he truly had never existed in it? Ghadius didn't have family. He just knew that, to someone like Klonoa, it must be important...
@maxipawz
Poor Klonoa. All of this was so overwhelming to him. But how had he returned? Surely it couldn't have been through natural means. Something summoned him here, and that was what worried her so. Perhaps she was overreacting? She certainly prayed she was. "Klonoa, I...I agree with Ghadius. You have come back to this world for a reason. For the sake of laying your worries a rest, I do recommend seeing your grandfather. Clear your mind, for now. We will only worry when we know there is trouble approaching."
Moonlit-Traveler
{Klonoa looks at the Lunar Duo. As much as he wants to stick around and yell at Ghadius...he wanted to see his grandfather more. If he really was alive...it'd send his heart soaring.} Klonoa: ...Alright...I-I'll go see Granpa...Klonoa: But...we aren't finished, Ghadius...I'll deal with you later... {The Cabbit quietly walks out of the castle, and heads straight for Breezegale.}
@driftstar13
"Songstress," Ghadius spoke to address Lephise, glancing down at her. "Make sure that the dream traveller returns to his village safely, won't you?" He paused, returning his gaze to Klonoa. Fair enough, he thought, and didn't bother to answer. "I will be here when you return, Lephise."
@maxipawz
Lephise looked to Ghadius, nodding. "Of course." She answered briefly. With that, she started her way after Klonoa, following him out of the castle and on the pathway to Breezegale. She couldn't help but be so silent the entire way. Who knows what was to be expected?

i had never seen the cabbit before and just went "so, Fates is basically ATLA with hybrid animals, and Awakening is real world earth. except they both have dragons, i guess." before remembering that Leo and like, everyone who rides a horse? just has a horse.
I had also never seen the cabbit before until about two weeks ago, and let me tell you. That picture fucked me up. I had look at it so many times and Never Saw The Creature. I was shaken.
“before remembering that Leo and like, everyone who rides a horse? just has a horse.” Lmao. Yeah, regular animals exist too. It’s a little like ATLA with hybrid animals, but also has normal animals? Like chickens and horses are 100% canon in Fates? So do regular rabbits and cats exist? If the cabbit exists, can they? Do they have all normal animals and then extra hybrid animals? FE is weird.

Livestream Art
Here we have some drawings I did on stream to celebrate getting a replacement stylus for my tablet! First up is Alka. The only decent drawing of Alka I’ve ever done. He is my dragon-kobold.
Tumblr media
Next up is a character rarely seen, which is Buttin the cabbit! Yes, she looks like a dog. No, she is not a dog. Since cats have pawpads and rabbits do not have them, I decided to do a palm pad but not finger pads. If you feel like drawing her, don’t worry about the placement of the small spots.
Tumblr media
And here’s a super quick doodle of my cat Zacharie. He’s a science fiction nerd who tries (and fails) to hide that fact. The gallifeyan on his back says “meow”, and is gold, despite being drawn in blue.

Spiders, why does it have to be spiders?
“Um, Kevin…” She was not coming out of the hallway, that just was not an option. No. She just, was staying there, being paid little mind by those inside the apartment.
“Yeah, G?”
“What the fuck?” There was a spider on his shoulder at least the size of the orange he was breaking apart and feeding to it. A spider. That he was looking at like it was a kitten. Really it was enough that she had only half noticed the furry brown creature playing with Zed, or the space heater off to the side with a large black orb and a covered clay pot next to it. Those were just the things she was going to question before she’d looked at Kevin and seen a shining metallic motherfucking spider riding him like a fucking parrot. And he didn’t even have the decency to be abashed or anything, just grinned at her.
“Well I’ve pupated, I’m an adult now, so, gifts. And a cabbit egg for Argit because I think everyone’s realized he’s not going anywhere so they may as well roll with it.” It, was technically an answer, she would give him that.
“And, spiders, are a normal gift from Ossys?” He shrugged his unladen shoulder.
“Normally they’re a wedding present, but with my history unless somebody marries me off I’m probably not lasting that long, so.” She couldn’t even tell if that was him being fatalistic, an attempt at a joke, or an actual viewpoint held by his relatives. “The others are pretty normal gifts, yeah.” Of course they were. Of course. The spider pushed it’s way through Kevin’s mane to rest on the shoulder closer to her and Gwen found herself stepping back into the hall.
“Ya know what, I’ll just leave you all to get to know each other…”

Roleplay Roadblock
This is something that has been on my mind for a while. I know talking about things and writing them, for me, makes them a bit more tangible. Once something is tangible I often have a better ability to navigate it. I am hoping this is the case with this topic. I want to have a deeper more immersive experience at LARP and in character in general. I want to not so much internally get lost. Like I don't want to be so inside a character that i'm disassociating. I do want to get lost in the process of exploring and expressing a character. I want to be less timid as characters and with how i perform them. Especially at a LARP where i get to spend a weekend away as a character, I want to be able to exist more naturally and thoroughly as a character without second guessing myself and my choices. I have found through thinking about it as well as through talking about this with friends that I have several road blocks. Many of the conversations have come up in regard to future games that I will be soon attending in person. At Seventh Kingdom IGE I was very much a novice to LARPing as a whole as well as still technically a noob in related genre's such as ttrpgs and forum roleplaying. Though i had such a great time, I did not exist in the game as deeply as I could have for as long as I could have. I felt I was just hitting my stride as game was nearing and end. I expressed a desire to up my game so to speak, but in so i had to acknowledge my roadblocks from my previous experience. One thing that kept me from going full tilt in a lot of situations was knowing the power I wield as a performer. I'm not a god tier performer by no means. However I am sitting on a performing arts Bachelors degree, one of which is still actively engage with via my job and my other hobbies. When it comes to performance I know I can turn up as my peers would say. This may sound silly, but I was afraid of taking too much spotlight. I was afraid of accidentally stepping over other people. I know many of my larp peers don't have a performance background. I know many are just gaining the kind of confidence that allows them to take charge of things. I know folks come to these weekends to be heard, and affirmed. To feel powerful and capable. I always would clam up because i had a fear of taking that away from someone else. Its kind of something i saw happened a lot from the background. I watched it happen to other cool people who i thought were smart and capable, but just didn't quiet have the confidence all the time in certain settings. So this was a real fear for me in those moments. I'm not going to say that i never took moments. I definitely got some where sometimes. But even in moments i generated for myself as a bard, I had such a weird feeling of going "hey guys, look at me be cool" and it made me feel icky despite knowing that folks did not feel this way about me. I had a fear of separating myself from everyone else. I know that how I experience things is a bit extreme and the kind of experience is often deeper than what most folks around me want. I've been hearing for most of my life that what I want to experience is "A lot" or "too much". And for most folks it is. It doesn't come from a place of hate. It was never in a bullying sense. It does however make one lonely in the universe. So i've always been afraid to go to the full extent that I want to experience because it feels like putting myself on an island away from other people. I do want to do my thing and be my best me. I have been doing that all my life solo. LARP gave me one of my few real tastes of what it is like to get to be the real me with other people. The deep me that doesn't get engaged with very often. That is still part of my core needs, as much as digging deep into immersion is. Along these same lines, I am afraid of giving someone the wrong impression of me. There are some characters that I want to play that are going to be purposefully scary and off putting. There will be times where i may get into a groove of a character that folks stop seeing who I really am for that time
being. What happens if I accidentally make someone uncomfortable while i'm in character? What happens when they don't feel safe to talk to me? I don't want to inadvertently have a negative affect on folks because of my deep level of immersion On a more personal side ive realized i'm kind of afraid of committing to the bit. I'm afraid of how it might affect me. Its unknown territory, and i'm aware that mentally and emotionally i'm not indestructible. Its less about losing a sense of reality. That I feel pretty solid and grounded in because i love fantasy and immersion so much. I'm afraid of how it might affect me in the long and short term. I'm afraid of possible bleed. I'm afraid of the come down from being in character for the weekend. I'm afraid of how it might affect my mental emotional state if I haven't been doing the best. Its kind of the fear of going to a new place all together and realizing there is a huge world of possibilities both positive and negative. I'm a deep feeler and i know this. I'm also very committed to the things that I do. So i'm just a bit afraid of stepping past that unknown threshold into deep immersion and exploring. Something i've learned recently from a roleplay experience i'm having with a friend of mine is that i'm afraid of the "hard road". I'm afraid of making choices that will make my time at game as a player harder. I'm afraid of not being able to overcome obstacles, and not being able to I guess do cool things or even basic things successfully. In the case of the roleplay i've been doing its been because of the RNG of digital dice rolls, but what I was seeing was still another obstacle being put in my way. I'm often so much better as just me overcoming obstacles so you'd think it wouldn't matter, but for whatever reasons the hard road at a LARP is scary and mentally exhausting to think about. So i know there is a part of me that wants to shy away from choices that maybe genuine but would make things suck a bit. Then of course . . .What if I fail? What if i'm just bad at being in character? What if as my character i mess up a plot or a mod? What if I become an obstacle for people instead of a partner in story? What if I just mess up? What if my accent is awful and insulting? Just general anxiety of an anxious Cabbit. I'm almost certain i'm not the only person who worries about this. So explaining my fears helps at least get them out in a real way. Talking about it is only one part to it. For this situation to improve I need to be able to work past theses issues in some tangible way. I need to make choices and shift my perspective about these situations. I need to remember that I am a player too and have right to be seen and heard like everyone else. Part of my training is the ability to be able to share space with other people. Partnership is part of my gig, and what is LARP if not collaborative storytelling improv. I need to take the chance and speak up. I need to step up into my characters but also keep myself present enough to be aware of other folks around me who are trying to participate. Part of the facilitation I do at my job is bringing folks into conversations and making space for them to speak. I'm proficient in this and I can apply it to how I roleplay with others at game. I don't have to completely sacrifice myself just so others can have space. There is plenty of room for all of us. I'll just have to remember to both step up and step back from time to time. I have no way of absolutely knowing that I will be separated or ostracizing if I go to my full performance potential. I know I can be a lot but there have been times in my LARP history where folks have expressed how much me being me made a good experience for them. Times were I did the absolute most. If I am afraid about being to much I can talk with folks about it and get their feelings. I can tell folks about my ideas for my character expression and gauge their response. I might even get some input. I can negotiate roleplay boundaries with folks I could potentially interacting with, in game, and
possibly create some roleplay partnerships throughout the weekend. Talking to folks before and after game, as well as during NPC shifts will give everyone a chance to see me beyond my characters. This will help create some separation from the characters I play and me as a person. Also NPCing in and of itself will give folks a chance to see me as other characters so the get the chance to just recognize me as a performer and experience me in various characters. If I am worried about my mental state I can up my general self care to hopefully help with any possible adverse effects. I can add grounding and centering routines to my larp weekends before and after event, and during if necessary. I can build a personal debrief/decompress session into my overall larp wellness routine after game is over. I can try to find a buddy to do check ins with during events if I need them, either at game or off site. I need to sit with my discomfort with the struggles of a character. Challenge is part of the game. Obstacles are necessary for a character to have an interesting narrative and to grow. Its ok if things are difficult. Even video games are difficult sometimes (I'm looking at you Super Ghouls and Ghost), but can still be fun. I need to learn to process that discomfort with struggle and not be afraid of it. If I can overcome real life obstacles i can figure out in game ones as well. It will make the character cooler, but it will make me feel like I have actually accomplished something. That is a rewarding feeling. All of these fears I have are super manageable. I really want to be a great character artist someday. Not just in dedication but in actual ability. I gotta screw up a bit before i get there and that is ok. I want to do cool things not just for others, but for myself as well. I want to have fun. My kind of fun. I want to have that fun with friends.

Bringing this back as, years later and some gross encounters (like him showing up at my work randomly, and messaging me in 2020), I think this guy was finally arrested.
At least, no one has seen or heard from him recently. It was pretty annoying at first because the people who did investigate him turned their info to the RCMP, who told them they couldn't do anything without any direct proof.... despite us having said proof from telegram.
The sad thing is that there's a lot of predators out there. And some of them are even highly popular artists in the furry community (I'm planning a large post listing some of the biggest ones who are still active, including don't hug cacti, Skye cabbit/thunderhowl, ect).
If you see someone in a group being creepy/weird in anyways that makes you uncomfortable, tell someone. Report it to someone who's been around longer than you.
I ultimately left the local furry group (and no longer even identify as a furry) because this wasn't the only thing I encountered in my local group, and no one would step up about it.
I know it’s not positive but to keep the fandom safe, especially for younger folk, we need to call people like this out.
As this predator was hiding in our small local group, I did interact with him. One time he told me that he knew a girl into bestiality. I called it disgusting and he backed off, never mentioning it again. Unfortunately, I deleted the thread, assuming he wasn’t going to talk to me again.
Later, as in a few weeks, he asked me for some sewing advice. Just something basic, then he proceeded to hit on me. Again, I called him out and he backed off. A bit after than he posted about the Lemonbrat suit was selling and asked me about pricing on it. He also told me that he was getting a new suit, a black/silver/red tiger dragon by Immortal Fursuits. So he might be using that as a main once it’s done, if he gets it, so be warned that he might be trying to use a new one to hide in a new group.
 I wasn’t sure who in the group to tell about what happened so I only let two people know and stayed away from him the best I could. From what I’ve heard, he’s been creepy with a few people, and everyone just reacted the same way. Not approving, but without proof to do much about it.
Only this saturday, we did a group thing at a local corn maze. He showed up unexpectedly, and after it was done he left the group. Only then was this beware officially posted. We did have two younger kids (12 yrs I think for both) with us, as they know one of the main leads for the group, and the fact he was around them is really disturbing.
Keep your eyes open for anyone who acts even a bit strangely towards you in the fandom. Even something small that you might brush off as a bad joke could be an indicator of something a lot worse. This people can hide easily and sadly like to use the fandom as a way to get away with things that they might not otherwise be able to.
I regret not talking to someone in our group sooner, but as he approached me when I had only been part of it for a short while, I didn’t really know if he was serious or not at the time or if he was just checking to see it I myself was potentially a danger to the group.
Be careful out there.

6 Fluffy Cat Breeds to Fawn Over
The post 6 Fluffy Cat Breeds to Fawn Over by Erika Sorocco appeared first on Catster. Copying over entire articles infringes on copyright laws. You may not be aware of it, but all of these articles were assigned, contracted and paid for, so they aren't considered public domain. However, we appreciate that you like the article and would love it if you continued sharing just the first paragraph of an article, then linking out to the rest of the piece on Catster.com.
We’ve got longhair and shorthair aplenty, we’ve got hairless and munchkins galore, you want tabby stripes, we’ve got 20 …. But today, we’re introducing you to not one, not two, but six fluffy cat breeds that will leave you itching for a pet, cuddle or all of the above.
First, What Makes Fluffy Cat Breeds Fluffy?
What makes fluffy cat breeds so fluffy? Photography by Dave Wetzel / Shutterstock.
Before we get to meeting the cats, lets cover the science … what makes those fluffy cat breeds so fabulously floofy?
“A cat’s coat is comprised of three layers of fur,” says Sasha Gibbons, DVM at Just Cats Veterinary Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut. “The topcoat is made up of guard hairs. These are the thickest type of fur and are designed for protecting against the outdoor elements. Beneath the guard hairs are the awn and down, which provide insulation to the cat. Variation in the number of hairs in each layer result in varying coat thickness or fluffiness. For instance, a Cornish Rex has no guard hairs, whereas a Siberian has a large number of guard hairs, as well as down.”
And now for the main (or shall we say mane?) event … the felines behind the fluffy cat breeds.
1. Ragdoll
Ragdoll cats naturally come to mind when thinking about fluffy cat breeds. Photography by Tony Campbell / Shutterstock.
With a name like Ragdoll, don’t expect anything less than a plush princess with a personality as bright and shiny as her trademark blue eyes. Named for her penchant to go limp in your arms ragdoll-style, this feline angel makes our list of fluffy cat breeds due to her silky-to-the-touch coat, which lacks the insulated undercoat of many long-haired breeds. This means her luscious locks are easier to care for, and reduces the chances of matting and shedding.
Though she’s happy to hang with other kitties, her true love is humans – even meeting you at the door when you return home from your day to day!
2. Birman
Birmans make our list of fluffy cat breeds. Photography ©ZUMA Press, Inc. / Alamy Stock Photo.
Known as the Sacred Cat of Birma, the Birman earns a spot among fluffy cat breeds because, similar to the Ragdoll, his lack of an undercoat gives him a silky, fuss-free mane. However, his true coat trick is something far more unique. Though born entirely white, as the Birman ages he develops darker-colored fur (lilac, gold and chocolate) on each of his points, giving him a kiss of uniqueness that is all his own.
The one commonality across the Birman board: the four white paws known as gloves. But don’t be fooled by his posh, debonair looks. The Birman is a ball of energy who loves to play for hours on end – his flowing locks sailing in the wind as he fetches and frolics!
3. Nebelung
The Nebelung is a lesser-known breed in this mix of fluffy cat breeds. Photography ©Tierfotoagentur | Alamy Stock Photo.
Before you say it, no, the Nebelung is not a Russian Blue … though she is a distant cousin of the ethereal feline, sporting a longer coat, and being as elusive as a crimson diamond. Rare in the cat world, the Nebelung is known for her shy persona and rightfully makes this roundup of fluffy cat breeds for her plume-like tail, Oriental-inspired looks, and fluffy-to-the-touch, medium-length fur.
With a name that means “creature of the mist” in German, the Nebelung has yet to clinch recognition from the Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA), but has been a member of The International Cat Association (TICA) since 1997, with the hopes that the breed will soon become more commonplace in the cat world. Fun fact: the Nebelung is one of the featured (and very rare) Harry Potter Patronus options for users who take the Pottermore personality test!
4. Cymric
Cymric cats are another unique breed on this list of fluffy cat breeds. Lilac-point Cymric ‘Ramsey’ 2011-04-06. Photography © Flickr user Stanton McCandlish. Used under Flickr’s Creative Commons License. Some modifications have been made to fit the specifications of this site.
First things first … the proper pronunciation is, say it with me now, kim-rick. A sister breed to the short-haired Manx, some say the Cymric is part rabbit due to his cottontail, long hind legs and the fluffy-to-a-fault fur coat that nabs him a place among these fluffy cat breeds. Being part rabbit isn’t biologically possible, but a cute concept nonetheless. Bred to be tail-free, the Cymric, sometimes referred to as a ‘cabbit,’ has a double coat that is long and silky yet easy to maintain.
Born to work as a mouser, the Cymric has fierce hunting skills, and could easily be considered a watch cat, but that doesn’t stop him from loving to curl up in your lap for a cuddle sesh every now and again. Fun fact: the Cymric, like the Manx, can be seen in four tail lengths: no tail, or rumpy; a rise of bone at the base of the spine, or riser; short tails, or stumpies; and normal-length tails, or longies.
5. Exotic Shorthair
Shorthair cats snag a place on this list of fluffy cat breeds! Photography © Seregraff | iStock / Getty Images Plus.
Surprised to see a so-called shorthair in an article about fluffy cat breeds? That’s because the Exotic Shorthair is a shorthair like no other. A mirror-image of a Persian (no, really), the Exotic Shorthair has been dubbed by the feline fanciers world as the Lazy Man’s Persian due to his plush, short coat that is teddy bear-esque but easy-peasy to maintain – meaning no matting, no tangling and far less combing required.
Over-the-top affectionate, this fluffy feline (known for his rounded features), lives for love and never misses an opportunity to cuddle. Fun fact: Some Exotic Shorthairs have been known to hug their humans when pet, and may even sit on your shoulder!
6. Norwegian Forest Cat

 A star of Norwegian folktales and mythology for centuries, the Norwegian Forest Cat, or ‘Wegie,’ is relatively new to the US, but has quickly captured the hearts of many with her beauty and social butterfly ways.
Believed to have served as ratters for Viking explorers aboard ships, the Norwegian Forest Cat is known for the sumptuous coat that lands her on this list of fluffy cat breeds. Insulated and waterproof, the Wegie was bred for cold climates, making her fluffy fur a standout characteristic that is equal parts elegant and cozy to cuddle up to. Fun fact: In her native country of Norway, the Norwegian Forest Cat is known as the skogkatt, which translates to forest cat.
Caring for Fluffy Cat Breeds
How is caring for fluffy cat breeds any different than caring for other types of cats? Photography by Sylvia Adams / Shutterstock.
Think that fluffiness has an effect on a feline’s health? Think again! Sure, these fluffy cat breeds may need a touch more TLC when it comes to grooming than their short-haired counterparts, but more hair won’t negatively affect their health. Promise.
“A common myth is that fluffy cats are at a higher risk of hairballs,” says Dr. Gibbons. “Hairballs are an accumulation of fur in the gastrointestinal tract that can cause irritation and lead to vomiting. The occurrence of hairballs, however, is not related to the length or amount of fur a cat has. Hairballs result from an individual cat’s grooming habits and metabolism. Short-haired cats that overgroom themselves or groom their housemates are equally at risk of hairballs as long-haired cats. In the same regard, some long-haired cats will simply pass the fur in their stool without it getting stuck in the stomach and intestines. If your cat does have problems with hairballs, daily brushing, petroleum-based lubricants, and hairball diets or treats can be helpful in treatment and prevention.”

More on the pebble thing, what other differences do you think would happen in the world like not just with the people but with the actual World itself. Like would physics work differently in that world or would the seasons act differently. Like could Odin walk out in a fucking t-shirt in -50 degree weather because the world they came from has a naturally colder climate?
(referring to this ask)
Lol, this is the exact reason Owain wears his fur lined coat and boots outfit in Awakening but walks around practically without a shirt in Nohr. Despite how lacking sunlight Nohr is, it’s strangely not as brisk there as Ylisse most of the time.
Truth be told, I haven’t thought about the world differences too much! I’ve mostly focused on the people, like I said before. But I really liked the idea of minerals and even stones having recognizably different compositions between worlds! And climates and earth compositions being different would explain different evolution features between the worlds, like the Trio’s tastebuds processing taste differently than people in Nohr. I don’t think the seasons would act differently to a strange or unrecognizable degree, but I think the difference in climates between Ylise and Nohr/Hoshido would make it a new experience for everyone! Additionally, some fun ideas:
Gravity in Nohr/Hoshido is slightly stronger than in Ylisse. Anankos adjusts the Trio’s biology to be fine with this, but it is a little heavier than before. If they were to go back to Ylisse, they’d be noticeably stronger because of this.
Magic works slightly differently in Nohr/Hoshido. Hence why you can have those orb things on the battlefield that allow mages to fire off magic fire missiles.
It’s hard to describe the exact ways it’s different. It’s still mostly the same. But just… a little different too. More versatile?
Straight up different animals in the world. You seen the cabbit? Animals are weird, man.
Also pegasus allow men to ride them in Nohr/Hoshido too. That’s different from Ylisse as well.
Sometimes the wilderness seems a little more… alive in Nohr/Hoshido. Trees included.
There’s Old Magic in them.
