So hiw about, instead of marcy becoming a puppet, the core manipulates her into helping it, causing marcy to take on a more antagonist/villainous role?

Hmmm I've definitely seen those kinds of AU's floating about. It doesn't resonate with me super strong but I think the trick to making it feel right is to give her the motivations to make Marcy's allegiance make sense.

One way would be if Anne or Sasha had gotten impaled in Marcy's stead in true colors. The tech in the castle would be the only thing capable of saving them, and Marcy's guilt at he being the cause of her friend's near demise.

I think the interesting choice here would be Anne, with Sasha escaping the found the resistance, and the two becoming rivals of a sort. Sasha safeguarding what Anne loved in Amphibia (in the valley) and Marcy safeguarding Anne's actual life. Sasha trying to build up enough of a force to challenge the core while Marcy tries to squash it and capture Sasha before she gets killed in the crossfire.

Man the dynamic between Andrias and Marcy would be so interesting in such an AU. They'd have to be in near constant contact as the only 2 flesh and body servants of the core.

Though I think it stretches the core's general characterization to want Marcy as a servant. It barely tolerates Andrias.

It’s a constant feed of his family being awful to him. It starts pretty mild.

Mikey making a joke that’s less funny, and more hurtful.

Splinter telling Donnie to be useful and fix something.

April telling him she’s through with pretending he doesn’t drive her mad.

Leo blaming Donnie for his tech getting in the way.

Raph furious because it’s Donnie’s fault that one of their brothers got hurt.

And it just repeats with different scenarios, all varying in intensity, until Donnie can’t remember who’s said what and is just left with the knowledge that his entire family hates him. So when Kendra finally shows him this, it’s the final nail in the coffin.

So I’m not sure I like this, the design will probably change as I get adjusted but here’s something for now

My Ford wears “wedding” rings as a way to show his ownership over Will (Will wears a matching pair to link them)

I tried to keep things kinda similar to his usual design so instead of a torn up trench coat he wears a more pristine coat (I liked the idea of him having long hair) I wanted to draw his glasses to have a chain on them but it didn’t look right, also that chain in his pocket is a pocket watch

outfit ramblings:

first of all that is a Terrible rendition of what Home looks like in my head. i just needed to fill empty space </3

the staff was the toughest part honestly. bc it Had to be paintbrush-themed, but then halfway through scribbling i was like "oh shit. there are only so many ways to draw a paintbrush-wizard-staff and Weevmo already hit it out of the park." so if you're seeing similarities! you're right! i tried to make it as different as i could! there is Inspiration from their marvelous design, however accidental or subconscious! Apologies!

he gets a pointed hood instead of a hat because a) it looks great on him! and b) it has less of a chance of messing up his hair! also c) it helps muddle the difference between Wizard and Warlock. typically hoods have evil/duplicitous connotation - blur the lines! i want his long gloves and forearm wraps to have the same vibe. his neckerchief is a big help in hiding Home's seal!

his layered (loosely apple-themed) capelet (which the hood is attached to) has a nice high collar & hides the details of his loose shirt - eye embroidery! and some flowers on the shoulders but yk, mostly eyes. on one side of the shirt buttons has open eyes, the other side they're closed! there's also one big eye on his back!

his belt buckle is two halves of an apple! he wears tall thigh-high boots w/ low heels to feel Taller! he has a book-holster hooked to the back of his belt, which holds his grimoire! and he has a lil thigh-bag that has been magicked to be Bottomless and warps size! he can fit pretty much anything in there! canvases! paint! apples!

his half-skirt thing (idk what the word for it is!) is really plush, like a quilt - his capelet is the same fabric. soft, cozy. sometimes he'll use the skirt thing as a blanket in a pinch, or as a picnic placemat!

is his outfit a little Complicated? is it annoying to replicate? yes and yes. but im a maximalist at heart and Nothing But The Best for the blorbo <3 layers my beloved <3

More on the au where Anne and Sasha fight Darcy earlier

Darcy: did you know sashi? That while you were out fighting a war, Anne was goofing around having the time of her life on earth.

Sasha: she wouldn’t do that!

Anne: yeah, I was trying to get back to amphibia.

Darcy: really now? Because our scouts have been recording you-tiny things, you probably wouldn’t even notice them-and they have quite the story to tell.

Opens a video screen, displays the scene from EtA where Anne laughs off Marcy’s stabbing.

Sasha: what?! You’re lying, Anne Would never! Right Anne?

Anne looks anguished and doses not give and answer. Sasha gives her a disgusted look when she realizes darcy is telling the truth.

Man, I cannot find the original post this is connected to. From what I remember it was one talking about my gripes with how 3b was paced and how Darcy hung in the background for way too long and felt like of wasted imo. My suggested way to fix this is Anne making a mad dash (w/ Sasha along for the ride) to get the box and save Marcy as like the first episode or two after Escape to Amphibia.

Back to the ask. That would be really interesting! It would really put on display the manipulative tendencies we see the core employ on Andrias and no one else. Putting a wedge between Sasha and Anne in the middle of a fight would be a wrinkle in the fight that hammers in that they just aren't ready for this showdown, in more ways than one. It would also be a great contrast with the Beginning of the end fight with Yunan and Olivia, with Sasha and Anne absolutely working in sync after managing to work out their differences.
