Open to Anyone -- At a Park in a Neutral Place

As she walked down the street holding her son's hand, she smiled as he babbled about something or other. As a mother, she tried to keep him away from tablets as much as she could but she did allow him about an hour of screen time a day. Bluey was his latest obsessesion and even in his toddler phase, he would sing along to anything that got stuck in his head. She let their hands swing between them, causing him to laugh before the park came into view.

He still needed a bit of help getting onto and off some of the equipment and she was happy to oblige. He was growing so fast, it felt like every day was some new discovery or learning experience, not just for Dmitri, but for her as well. Being a first time mom brought with it challenges, but it also brought immense joy. She could see so much of Mikhail in their child. It was almost like getting a glimpse at when Mikhail was a boy. Dmitri was rough and tumble, unafraid to fall and pick himself back up. As she stood there watching him go down the slide, someone caught the corner of her eye.
