this is a redraw of something i did back in 2021~ version with no text under the cut as well as closeups on the faces, since im proud of them ♪(´▽｀)

aaaaAAAHH! SORRY notifs are fucky on both my phone and laptop so i didnt see this im sorry this is so late but

my main ocs that i’ve been spending a lot of time writing about are my ocs from a story im developing called Greenwood! Haru Valmorida, Lupin Lucerne, Evren Cranesbills, and Nacht Solana. Haru is still technically the main character but the story focuses on these four the most. it’s about the three mains (haru, lupin, and evren) overcoming various things? i use greenwood as a way to process my trauma and shit that’s happened to me (but everyone’s got happy endings so it’s also my way of projecting my wants)? so the three of them deal with specific things. for haru it’s overcoming trauma, for lupin it’s overcoming himself (so like internal issues), for evren it’s overcoming their upbringing. 

nacht is another issue. his whole thing is overpowering others. cause he’s an asshole. he’s based off of my super toxic ex who guilt tripped the hell out of me so i kill him off at a later point in the story for catharsis. 

also my endgame plan is that my three mains to marry each other bc im gay and i project my wants onto my ocs and hhhhngngg. romance for real? no. romance as a concept? very good. 

these ocs were all originally made for dnd but i got way too invested in them since im projecting so much of my trauma onto haru sooooooo this is a concept im going to develop until i can actually learn how to code so i can make this a visual novel in renpy

GREENWOOD IS OFFICIALLY OUT!!

Follow this story about the healing of a rogue mercenary, who is on the run from his past life. On his way, he crosses paths with unlikely allies. On his way through a town, he learns of the local forest that has been marked as dangerous due to a vengeful entity. Not only does he have to get past whoever that is, but he also has to watch out for anything trying to drag him back to his former life as a mercenary.

After a month of development, Greenwood has been released on itch.io! This was actually a project done for my game design class, so it had to be completed within a one month time constraint. Therefore, this game isn’t super long and its multiple routes were cut off. Despite that, this game still has 200+ sprites and is also 20k words long. The game takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete!

This was my first attempt at a visual novel and so any feedback or comments would be greatly appreciated! Literally any and all feedback would be wonderful so please let me know how you feel about this project! Also I’m not that great at coding so the game might have bugs....and for that I’m sorry!

i also did this last week but hey! i did something for pride!! this is a redraw of something i did last year for pride month! it makes me very happy to see my progress ;;v;;!

Now that i have all the main character’s sprites redone, here’s some comparisons to their old art! 

haru has changed a bit from his first iteration (i didnt include his very first traditional sketch back from 2019) but im keeping his sprite’s poses from the game jam demo

lupin has certainly changed the most and i’ve gotten rid of his wolpertinger birch staff and now it’s this little handy arm band that he can transform at will should i make a post explaining that someday? anyways, looking at his art makes me realize how much i’ve improved :]

evren, since he’s a newer character, didnt have much older sprite art! but! he’s still changed a lot since the first time i conceptualized him back in April 2020

Anyways they all have multiple expressions. At least 5 each, but one chara might have more than another. Lupin has the most out of everyone by far

Uh. Wow! Art improvement really shows and also how far their designs have come. Im still wishy washy on details to include, like Lupin's wreath thingy but I brought back Evren's backpack, plus I drew Ouro (the lil snake in Ev's hair)

All i can say is what the hell was i on when i first drew these guys
