Scandal spoilers
OH YEAH!!
I'm on season 4 of Scandal and I am STUCK TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHICH PART OF THE DAMN TRIANGLE I LIKE MOST...
IS IT OLIVIA AND FITZ OR OLIVIA AND JAKE-
Like- I hate Fitz. Get your fucking marriage together, check on your damn wife-
Jake- you did some fucked up shit too- I won't forgive you for the way you fucked up Cyrus's life but you're also not already married... that we know of at least.
Quinn... we don't talk about her. Fuck her. Not literally. (I'm looking at you Charlie)
Huck needs all the hugs in the world and a protection squad
Still dunno how to feel about papa and mama Pope (Though in the episode I'm like- in the middle of watching- papa Pope almost made me cry lol)
Cyrus... you fucked up too but HUGS! YOU NEED THEM.
Harrison... o7 Gladiators in suits
Abby is cool, she needs hugs too
B613 is scary
Mellie needs therapy and all the hugs and support
Fitz's dad better be rotting in the worst parts of Hell
James... o7

“I’d like to thank Rudy Clark, who was the guy who actually wrote it [‘Got My Mind Set On You’] years ago and nobody actually noticed it at that time. It was lodged at the back of my brain, and I know I did the sort of pop version of it, Rudy, but if you’re listening, I love it, and we chopped that bit out the middle that we didn’t like and got rid of the screaming girls, but it was a great song, actually, it was a great song.” - George Harrison, Rockline, February 1988 “[‘Got My Mind Set On You,’ recorded by James Ray, was] written by this guy who discovered James Ray, a former mailman named Rudy Clark. [...] Jim Keltner got this drum pattern going one day that was a cross between swing and rock. Gary Wright turned around and said, ‘Hey! Doesn’t that remind you of that song, ‘Got My Mind Set On You?’ [laughter] I was so surprised that anybody else had *ever* heard that tune!” - George Harrison, Musician, November 1987 “My boy [Dhani], while we were recording it [Got My Mind Set On You], he kept saying, That’s the single.” - George Harrison,In The Studio With Redbeard, 1987

50 years ago today, George was hanging out with John and Bob Dylan. According to Gary Wright, they were talking about the possibility of them playing together at Madison square garden.

From Gary Wright’s music video for “Don’t Try To Own Me.”
“Although at times he could be reflective and withdrawn, to me he definitely wasn’t the ‘quiet Beatle,’ as the media portrayed him. Once he got on a roll, he didn’t stop talking until he finished his story. At his memorial service, Eric Idle said, ‘We all know that the press called him the “quiet Beatle,” but for those of us who knew him well, we knew different. Once he started talking, he never stopped.’ He also had a great sense of humor. Many times as we were listening to a playback in the control room, he would jump out of his chair and start dancing around like a wild man. At other times, he would make up some moves and play ‘air saxophone,’ as though he was a sax player in Little Richard’s band. But most of all he loved Monty Python and would regularly repeat their hilarious sketches verbatim. It was all part of his personality to laugh and joke around and then pick up a guitar from his incredible collection and launch into a beautiful song that would make you cry.” - Gary Wright, Dream Weaver: Music, Meditation, And My Friendship With George Harrison (2014) (x)
